El amor no tiene receta, #17, Wednesday " The world is their lobster"

Luna hugs her grandma and aunt, this time shedding happy tears.

Sal video calls Gala, who is happy to hear from him. Some light flirting happens, and then Sal tells Gala about yaya’s visit, bribe included.

Elvira wonders who is calling to blackmail her. Who could already know about Ginebra? Fogo will take care of it, she needs to focus on bonding with Ginny. Elvira is moved to tears by their possible reunion.

Paz serves food to the entire family (and Gin). It’s a minestrone soup, she explains the dish and everyone looks charmed, even Gin manages to fake some polite smiling. Gala gets a smaller portion, because “she doesn’t eat a lot”.

Gin shares with Bosco her interest in fencing. She also likes martial arts and boxing. Gala would like to make a tick tock video about it.

Gin is so grateful for being invited to the meal. Paz wants to excuse herself, but Esteban asks her to join them. She went through all this trouble to prepare such a delicious meal, she deserves to enjoy it with them. Ginebra is ticked off, but plays along, do sit with us!

Paz still says no, she’d rather eat alone in the kitchen.

After they eat, Gin “feels bad” for enjoying herself, but pain always comes back around. Esteban agrees.

Eder would like Paz for to eat with them. After all, she will be around all the time.

Elvira arrives and is happy to see Ginebra. Less happy to see Esteban grimace. He says it’s a long story, he’s about to face Berenice’s assassin!

And off he goes, straight to prison to confront Rubio. At first the goon ignores him, but then Esteban starts demanding that the guy confess that he killed his wife, Berenice. Rubio approaches the gates, just enough for Esteban to grab his neck when he confesses that yeah, he did kill his wife.

Esteban demands an explanation, but a cop intervenes before he can finish strangling Rubio. He does continue to scream at him, asking if he did it for the money. Rubio remembers Mauro’s threat and says he’s killed many women, some for money, but he only killed his wife for the fun of it. You can all imagine Esteban’s reaction.

Elvira is so happy Ginebra is OK after what happened at her house. If she and Esteban share an enemy, this has to be connected to her. Her daughter, her company, somebody is after her. Ginebra wonders who could it be…

Ginebra only has her brother left, she is so grateful for Elvira’s company. She feels like those guys killed her daughter. Elvira asks her not to lose hope, sometimes people they thought lost forever come back to them. Wink wink!

They talk about Esteban confronting Berenice’s assassin. Then Ginebra tells Elvira she bought some of the company shares with the intention of returning them at some point. At first Elvira seems to pull away from Gin but then she says she’s so grateful, how amazing it is when women can support one another.

Paz is in the kitchen, praying for Esteban and Gala hears her and says thank you. She’s been praying a lot, lately, too, to her mom. They hug.

Gala asks Paz about almost kissing her dad and Paz says no way, they just fell because of some papers.

But Gala wasn’t born yesterday, does Paz like her dad? She won’t judge her. Paz asks Gala to promise not to tell a soul. Pinky promise and then Paz admits the obvious. Gala smiles.

Paz gets shy suddenly and starts doing the dishes, she has to remember her place in the house, Esteban is her boss. But Gala wants the tasty details, she thinks sometimes the heart wants what it wants. No, no, no, Paz will have none of it!

Gala tries to pimp his dad, he’s a hardworking good man, he’s been alone for so many years, he deserves to be happy. Who knows, there could be another couple between the two families, aside from her and Sal.

Paz asks Gala to stop, Esteban doesn’t feel the same and she needs to focus on the job, she really needs the money. Gala wonders how her dad really feels, Paz gets even more flustered.

Nandy hopes what she told Kenzo won’t change things between them. He says he already suspected this, but it changes nothing. She’s a woman and she’s his friend. Nandy felt the need to tell him, not everybody has an open mind like he does. She’s afraid she’ll keep getting into trouble with his ex and Elvira, but Kenzo promises to protect her. Nandy says thank you for taking the news so well, her community is having such a hard time getting good jobs and not being judged by everyone. Kenzo loves that he can help her, he admires her for her strength and courage to fight for what she believes in.

Mauro and Ginebra drink for their latest win: Esteban believing he found his wife’s assassin. Mauro is happy the attack wasn’t more serious (the dead bodies on the lawn are just a minor hassle for these two). Ginebra admits she was kind of impressed with Esteban, he’s a dreamer but he’s also kind of intelligent. And she’s getting closer to the family every day.

Mauro confirms that Elvira must have gotten the DNA results back and Gin is happy, this explains the loving way that idiot was looking at her earlier. Mauro is afraid they might get suspicious, but Gin is not too worried. Elvira will even help her get closer to Esteban because she will want to look good in front of her.

“Oh, imagine their reactions if they knew I was the one who ordered Berenice’s killing…”

“Nobody will ever know that you provoked your sister’s death.”

They both giggle, while Mauro tenderly kisses Gin’s forehead. They do make a loving family these two… in their own murderous way.

Esteban is with Elvira and his older kids, explaining what happened in jail. The same people who killed Berenice attacked Ginebra, too. The guy admitted to killing Berenice and said he only did it for fun. They are all shocked to hear this and Esteban adds there are still things he needs to figure out, but from now on they start a new phase in their lives, one of harmony and unity.

“First of all, Senora Elvira, you can stop hating me and pointing your finger at me!”

Elvita looks like she’s munching lemons.

Paz is making Eder taste her food, Gala wouldn’t do it. Eder loves it, he also loves spending time with her, does it feel like this being with you mom, too? He was so young when his mom left. Paz says he will always have his mom’s protection from up above. Eder would like to have a mom on Earth, too. They hug.

Mireya plans to leave, she has a job interview. Lupita disapproves, this is no hour for work. She wants to take Luna for a snack before bed, the girl would like to hear the song Paz already sang to her. Vermin shows up, offers to sing, too, but he’s quickly rejected by Lupita.

It’s dinner time and Paz explains that Elvira asked for the lobster and Eder says he helped her cook.

Elvira attacks Paz, saying she confronted her sister Mireya, who showed such lack of class and education. Gala argues with Elvira about going to see Salomon. Esteban disapproves, Elvira accuses Sal of having other interests.

Bosco asks Paz to leave, it’s so late after all. Paz agrees, she needs to run to catch the last bus. Esteban offers to drive her home, she refuses, he insists since he’d like to talk to Sal. Then Gala wants to go, too and Elvira mocks her for having to ride the bus, minibus, micro bus and whatnot to reach her new boyfriend’s house.

Paz says true love always finds its way and looks at Esteban, who kind of smiles. Gala notices, Elvira just keeps munching lemons.

At the house, Esteban talks to Sal about his relationship with Gala. He was a teen once, too, he understands these things, but Sal can’t play with his daughter’s feelings. Is he still a virgin? Dude!

No, Sal must admit, but nothing ever happened with Gala. Esteban makes it clear Gala has been in a lot of pain after her mom’s death, she deserves the best and if he ever makes her suffer!!!

Sal understands all of this, he will treat her like a princess. He was raised well, by three incredible women. They shake on it.

Gala is on the roof chatting with Pepa. He hopes her relationship with his brother will be OK. Gala asks why they are always fighting, and Pepa says Sal is just annoying.

Paz comes to give Luna a kiss before bed. She asks her to speak quietly, she missed her a lot, she will have to work on having a better schedule, so they can spend more time together; Luna asks about Monito and Paz says her women group haven’t heard anything about the boy in the hospitals they checked, but they won’t give up, they will find him.

Then Paz sings to Luna, reminds her to be quiet, because her boss in in the house. Luna closes her eyes, smiling.

Monito is still in that hospital bed. He wakes up, stands, gets dressed and leaves his room. Poor kid.

Kenzo and Nandy are preparing a tent by the fireplace in his house. They do it for the kids, but for now they are the ones happy to share it.

When the kids arrive later, they are both looking forward to their reaction. But Felipa is with them, immediately ruining the mood.

Mireya is out at a bar, waiting for Mauro, who arrives a bit late. What is he having, tequila, beer? He’d like a beer, please and it’s funny how it seems like she’s controlling the date, even if it’s obvious she’s nervous. She wants to be direct with him: she’d like to know him better.

Later they are both seated on a couch and Mauro wants to play 20 Questions to get to know each other better.

Mireya starts by asking if Gin is his only family and he says yes, he never knew his parents, but that’s a long story to tell. He asks about her two kids and her husband and Mireya says the guy left her when the boys were very young. The fact that she’s single seems news to Mauro, but he immediately changes his demeanor. He is single, too, go figure.

Sal asks Pepa to talk later, but for now he will spend some time with Gala on the roof. She tells him Geronimo is getting jealous, he even asked her out for coffee. They should make a video together, so Sal suggests they practice kissing to make it more believable. She seems startled, but then she goes for the kiss.

Then they both decide they are only acting. Sure!

Paz and Esteban are into another type of role play: she’s describing some plants to Esteban, explaining how to prepare tea with them. He goes to grab the herbs, touches her hand, she gets restless, thought bubbles that she can’t understand why a simple touch can have this effect on her. He thought bubbles too, about the possibility of something happening between them, could they be able love again? Real Paz and Esteban are seen moving their lips, probably still chatting about teas and plants, while their inner selves are having another dialogue, about their growing feelings for one another

When Paz finally frees her hand, Esteban thanks her for all her advice, she always knows what to say, talking to her brings him peace every time, just like her name suggests. She eats this all up… and so is Adriana Noel, who wishes she had a sexier name right now.

Fogo tells Elvira Gin managed to buy the shares of the company right before their competition managed to pull a hostile takeover. Elvira thinks her daughter is helping her mother without realizing it. When Fogo reminds Elvira she has another grandchild, she decides they need to help with the search, Gin and her granddaughter deserve to be happy. And she needs to give them all the love she couldn’t before. She can’t wait to see Gin’s face when she tells her she will inherit all her fortune.

I can’t wait to see Gin’s face either. And how quickly Elvira gets 6 feet under after that.

Bosco is still up. He closes the door to the room and starts… vaping with one of those cigarette pods (I think they’re called that way).

Esteban is still with Paz, asking about her restaurant, but she says she still has a lot of work to do before reopening.

He says he wanted to bring her home because he needed to talk to someone, like they did that other time. Confronting his wife’s assassin was very difficult. He still has many questions and there is a trial pending, but he feels like he can finally turn the page, his wife can rest in peace now. Paz asks if he’s only been in survival mode these last six years, and he admits it’s true. Same for her, and she has a confession to make: she’d like to start living again.

Esteban would like that, too, they both deserve it. He grabs both her hands this time, gets closer and they start staring into each other’s eyes.

Adriana, thank you for your excellent recap of a more talk than action kind of episode. I guess we need one of these every so often. For me, the only excitement was Esteban trying to choke Rubio through the bars at his jail cell. Elvira was pathetic fawning all over her rotten offspring. So, how is Monito going to end up being reunited with Luna?

Excellent work, Adriana.

Elvira is an idiot. She has three grandchildren by her deceased daughter so leaving her entire fortune to Ginebra would be wrong even if Ginebra were a decent human being. If she could buy 30% of her company she obviously doesn't need that inheritance.

Did Elvira not make any effort to find the infant monster? Probably not, but I'm going to guess she would have been afraid to while her father was still alive. We don't know when he died; I am guessing that he lived to see her marry someone "acceptable" and to see Berenice go off to college but not long enough to see her marry Esteban whom he would have snubbed.

Based on Ginebra's past behaviour I also think she was looking at this whole family and figuring out how she was going to kill each one of them. One by one.

Although Rubio was arrested for all the wrong crimes it's good that he is out of action. His attempts at assaulting Mireya are enough reason to pull him off the streets. How many other women has he tried that with and succeeded before this? I also get the vibe that he has killed before. He was totally believable when telling Esteban he got off on killing women. His wife and daughters are better off without him.

I dearly hope Cobija is still alive and well in the finale. Elvira would kill him given the opportunity.

Finally, I would never walk out on a lobster meal.

Adriana, great job and very funny! "The dead bodies on the lawn are just a minor hassle for these two." Shockingly true. I had hopes for Mauro being rehabbed, but it's not enough to only feel (a little bit) bad about people you've killed YOURSELF.

Really looking forward to watching this epi. I'm almost caught up, and it looks like I'm off tonight for futbol.

Seriously, Kenzo just "suspected" that Nandy was trans? I admit it took me a few episodes to catch on, but I didn't have an ex-wife screaming about gender abominations. I guess he's learned to tune her out.

P.S. The rest of us think your name is quite sexy. ;}

And thanks for yesterday's recap, Urban. Yeoman's work on all that dialogue!

I particularly like your asides. It's almost as if you have a split personality: the rational, analytical narrator, and the italic snark genie that comes out in brackets...but I know that only happens in telenovelas.

Blue Lass, this is the style I default to if there is no obvious "ghost writer" voice which usually takes more time.

My recaps of Pasion y Poder and La Candidata are twice as long as these because of the dialogue quotes and indentation format. That is not practical if recaps are in the comments' format.

Cher Adriana Noel (I agree with Blue Lass , A sexy name . I think I need to change mine ....maybe Lacy Stardust ) ..First, I hope you are feeling much better . Second, WOW... that recap was tres magnifique !!! Merci. I read it as soon as I woke up this morning , and what a great way to start the day . You wove a spectacular tale ...fast , insightful, witty . I loved it. To quote a favorite baseball saying " You hit it out of the park. "

Esteban has been grieving the death of his beloved wife for six years while coping with three traumatized young children and a mother in law who looks down on him , thinks he killed his wife ,and is constantly challenging him about the children and the business. Perhaps now that Esteban has had the chance to confront his wife's supposed killer and get him in a chokehold through the cell bars, he can get some closure . Although , there really never is a closure for grief . Grief gets woven into life . That is what Esteban must do. Unfortunately , Gin has slithered into his life and that is going to complicate things . Will he be a smart galan and see through her act ? Will she fall in love with the lovely Esteban and alter her plans?

This show is a study in dark and light. Paz is the epitome of warmth and light . It is easy to see why both Gala and sweet Eder want to be in her presence . People gravitate towards people who radiate kindness. We all know that she will win cranky, snotty Bosco over before the finale . In the meantime, she is patient and ignores his comments and sneers which is wise.

It was getting hot in that kitchen , and the stove wasn't on . Stand back, stand back , Daniel is about to unleash the charm and smolder.
Susan

P.s. LOVED the title .

Susan

Thank you Adriana, love the recap and love your humor!

I am really liking the character of Gala (minus the eating disorder) it's nice to see the young rich girl influencer (or budding influencer) character portrayed as something other than stuck up and vain. She's kind down-to-earth, non-judgmental and mature enough to understand daddy deserves more than grief and morning. She can also recognize a good candidate for daddy's affections like Paz.

The last thing I want to do is defend Eliva, but I too doubt she could have done much to find Gin as a baby. I thought she should have done more to keep her dad from taking her in the first place, but after the fact, idk. If daddy was half as nasty as he looked in that scene I doubt he just dropped her off at the corner hospital. He probably hid Gin pretty well, and then like Urban points out there's probably not much Eliva could have done with daddy living. Suppose she did find Gin and bring her home, what's to keep daddy from taking her again?

Oh, I don't want that poor boy back out on the streets alone!!! Send him to me, I'll protect him!!

I could also do with some 'unleashed charm and smolder' from Daniel! lol He's a compelling actor, he has a great smile!

I'm not smiling much today, so tired of computer issues at work!!! My work computer has been acting up for a couple weeks and I'm spending most of my time with IT, it's less than fun!

Thank you all for your comments.

Jarifa, I find Elvira very entertaining when she makes one of her faces whenever she has to admit she is wrong about something. Esteban is not a killer, Paz is a good cook, Fogo is kind of hot... well, maybe not the last one, that might make her smile actually.

Urban, I wondered about Elvira's plans for her grandchildren, too. Now that she has a shinny new daughter, her beloved Berenice's kids are not that important anymore?
This is her guilt talking, trying to make up for so many years of abandonment. How come she never got around to finding her first child, anyway? It couldn't have been that hard seeing how Ginebra has known for a long time who her real mother was.
I wonder if there is a story behind Mauro's parents, too. Maybe he and Esteban are siblings.
Thank you for yesterday's recap, also, I didn't have the time to watch the episode, so your work helped me make sense of the episode I had to recap.

Blue, don't feel bad, I couldn't tell that Nandy was trans, either. I knew the actress was and I kept looking to see the signs, but I must be clueless about this type of things, because I still don't see it.

Blue and Susan, I never liked Adriana as a name, I actually use my middle name in every day life, but I decided to use my first given name on Caray for whatever reason. Everyone hearing about it in France thinks it's a great name, too, but when I was a child I had a neighbor called Adriana and she was so nasty, I think I was left traumatized :)

Susan, you already switched from Susanlynn, so don't go changing on us again, calling yourself CurlySue or SusyQ LOL Your name is very pretty en feminine. Have you ever watched Lady Susan, with Kate Beckinsale?

I'm still waiting until I decide if Esteban is a smart galan or not. I think he used to be pretty smart, but losing Berenice has made him vulnerable, Ginebra's sob story wouldn't have worked the same had he not been grieving for so long.

I'm loving Paz, too, but I do not agree with her decision to keep Luna. Sure, she suspects that Ginebra might be evil and the cops might be involved, but she's still commiting a crime and Gin will make sure to throw her into jail when she finds out the truth.
About Daniel turning on the heat... I see your point. I mean, as nice as they both are, Paz and Esteban don't exactly ooze chemistry for me, but there are specific moments when I see definite sparks. This has to be the director telling him when to remember to play "grieving widow" and when to turn on the charm. He does it flawlessly.

Darcy, I'm liking Gala, too, the actress is growing up to be quite a lovely lady. To think we've seen her as a 5 year old in Mi corazon es tuyo!
God, I feel old!
Good luck with your computer, we've changed all our system a few months back and it was such a chaos.

In other news, I'm happy to report that my blood tests have come back negative, I don't have any of the lung infections my dr suspected. I have one last scan scheduled for tomorrow, hopefully that one is OK, too.

Adriana: Good Jon with the recap of last night's episode.

PS: Praying for your speedy recovery!

Negative is good when it's anything medical!

I have brought this up before: What -- if anything -- is Luna's legal status? We know she is the biological daughter of Paz and Vermin. Does Ginebra know that? If not only Vermin and Mauro know. If Vermin doesn't reveal this ASAP the child is a dead duck and Paz' family will kill him if his failure to disclose results in her injury or death.

Urban, I believe Gin does know but I am not sure…

Adriana, is Paz committing a crime? I mean as far as she knows she is, but legally she isn’t. Her daughter was kidnapped from her and she recovered her, whether she knows it or not. Since Sam/luna was kidnapped from the hospital and Gin never gave birth to an alive child, she shouldn’t have any (real) legal documents saying Sam/lun a is hers. With all information I don’t think Gin could throw Paz in jail. Of course, it’s a novela so we surely won’t get all info known and Paz could end up in jail, but I don’t think what she’s doing is actually a crime. She found her own daughter on the street and is simply neglecting to return her to her kidnapper. I mean she doesn’t know this, but this is what it is. I guess that’s why it doesn’t bug me, that and knowing the danger Luna would be in if she was returned.

In Vivir, we have a couple who actually kept an abducted child and that bugs me to no end, but here we have a child recovered from her abductors, even if no one knows it, so that doesn’t bug me.

Adriana, so glad that you have been getting good news medically . I will be sending you good vibrations across the ocean)))).

Darcy, I do not like technology and avoid it as much as I can ( which is less and less Possible ) , so I feel for you . I now email and text people instead of calling or writing . I hope things calm down at work for you soon .

I find it interesting that technology has provided people from so many different places ,who probably have many differences, a chance to meet , share, laugh, fret , discuss , debate the many issues that appear in these crazy shows that we dissect here at Caray. I have been here since the beginning. People come and go , but there are always intriguing , serious, funny, clever , thought provoking discussions . Sometimes real life sneaks into our conversations, and we reveal a bit about ourselves. Remarkably , Caray has always been a safe place to comment and share opinions even when we don't agree. I think that for many folks , Caray is a bright spot in the day , especially on challenging days in real life. A welcome break from any "sling or arrow of outrageous fortune " that might pierce us . Maybe we know each other better than we realize.

Lacy Stardust

I also believe Gin knows Paz is Samara's mom. She knows Vermin is the dad and he said Paz is his ex wife, so she connected the dots some episodes ago, when Vermin first started working for her.

As for Sam's legal status...
Ginebra had a home birth wich made things easier. She paid off the doctor who knew her actual child was stillborn, so he signed on the dotted line saying Ginebra did deliver a healthy little girl (the same sex the previous exams mentioned) and nobody had any reason to suspect otherwise. Home birth, doctor confirms everything is OK, an actual baby is in the crib, a birth certificate is issued, I don't have a problem believing this could work in Novela Land.
Paz had her baby stolen, but legally she has no rights over Sam, for now she's just a nice lady who is keeping her hidden from anyone who might guess her true identity. Sure, she is morally entitled to the child, but the optics are not great for her right now. If by the time Sam is discovered in her house she won't have proof the girl is actually hers, she will go to jail.
Wanting to protect Sam from abuse is very well, but she is putting her entire family in jeopardy, too. She's in a tough spot, but her good nature is not making her see things straight. Maybe if she begins to trust Esteban enough to tell him the truth about the child and her suspicions on Mauro and Ginebra, he might be able to help.
But as long as Vermin doesn't talk, Paz definitely has no right to keep Sam in her house. Just my opinion.

Urban and Darcy , didn't Gin find out from Vermin that Paz was his wife and mother of the baby he sold to Mauro when Gin and Mauro met with Rubio and his gang , and she shot that guy ?

Susan

The key to this whole mess is ...Vermin ...and we all know what a loose canon this guy is . However, he wears his wedding ring on a chain around his neck , hovers around the Robles house like an unwanted guest who wont leave, and gravitates toward Luna whenever he is around her. Maybe he is on his way to being a better man. I don't think he will survive , but he may save Paz and\or Luna.
Susan

Darcy, if Ginebra has any documents, they're fake. That may take longer to determine because faking such things now would have to be done more carefully. Remember that Mauro is close to genius level with computers and AI programs. What if he and Ginebra made a video where he puts Paz' face on her? He might be reluctant to do this because she is demanding the child's death.

I also don't remember Paz talking to police about her missing baby. Maybe I should rewatch the opening episode.

All this can be trumped with a DNA test but that would have to happen now.

Ok, is it definite Ginebra is Elvira's? When Gin and Mauro were discussing the DNA results I almost got the impression they may have fixed them, but my Spanish is slowly coming along so I may be wrong. It would be a happier scenario for me if she has absolutely no blood ties to Esteban's children. It would be a really convoluted plot on Gin's part if this is the case. For all of you thinking she is attractive, I don't get it! Oh, and Luna sings better than Paz. What a talented young actress.

Adriana,

You are such a gifted writer and your summaries are unfailingly sensational.

"Paz and Esteban are seen moving their lips...while their inner selves are having another dialogue" was expressed so sweetly.

I am so enjoying the gentle unfolding of Paz and Esteban's feelings as they begin to bloom. May they nuture them carefully.

Ginebra manipulates as smoothly as silk. She had Bosco enthralled and egads, actually almost smiling.

Mauro is growing a bit more sinister and Mireya is in grave danger.

I am also grateful Rubio is behind bars; watching Esteban throttle him was gratifying.

And now, hopefully Monito and Luna will soon be reunited.

I am glad you received the test results you'd hoped for. I will say a prayer for you today...

Diana

Diana, seeing two truly caring, loving, kind people come together is always heartwarming in novelas and in real life .

Thanks so much Adriana, you wove a great story. Now that Elvira has been reminded she has another grandchild I fear for Paz and Luna. She will put all her resources into finding Luna. Since she’s blamed Esteban for his wife’s death I’m going to say she’s a very poor judge of character. She’ll probably be the last to realize Gin is dangerous.

Mauro can also fool people. I have to remind himself he threw that box with Luna in it. He didn’t burn it but he did leave her for dead. Mireya needs to be very careful.

I wonder if Elvira would support a marriage between Esteban and Gin. We know she didn’t like him married to Bernice.

Think I’ll watch some situation comedies tonight.

Liz

Fine recap, Adriana Noel. I enjoy your writing style. I'm late to the party discussing the episode, and also late in understanding the issue about your name. I think it's a lovely one. When I think of Adriana, though, the one I think of is Christopher's ill-fated girlfriend in The Sopranos.

I could do without Paz and Luna singing. Terribly not in tune.

I also believe Gin knows she had Paz's child. I sincerely hope she doesn't know Paz has her back.

I'm finding the character of Elvira completely unbearable. IIRC Paz called her out on bullying people when she was defending Salomon.

So, is Bosco vaping tobacco or something else? Probably tobacco. He might be nicer to Paz if it was the other thing.

I enjoyed the scene with Paz and Esteban touching and the voice over saying what they were thinking. These two make great protagonists, IMHO. I haven't seen either of them before.

I don't think Mauro pushed the box down the hill -- I think it was the hired goons who did that. That's how I remember it, but I could be wrong.

Not that I'm defending him. Well, I kind of am. He does look cute in a tie.

When Elvira was talking about Gin inheriting, she said she'd get "control of" everything, not everything. So I had the impression she was talking about the business, not financial assets.

Novelera, we have been following Daniel Elbittar in novelas here on Univision . He had a role in " El Dragon" with Sebastian Rulli . Then , he had a role in " Desalmada." Next, he played the villain in " Herencia." He was kind of a co galan in " Invencible." Claudia has also been in several recent novelas on Unision.
Susan

Terrific recap, Adriana! I unfortunately don't have much time to comment, but I just wanted to say I'm glad your test results came back negative. I was thinking of you these days. Take care.

OT/Daniel Elbittar

I only saw Daniel Elbittar in Desalmada and Herencia but I was impressed. I remember with Desalmada that whole show was so bad the patio was voting for 'kill them all and salt the Earth' by the end of it but we also said we would watch more if it just involved Daniel's character and everyone else was gone. He had a more minor role in that but you could still see his charisma and potential. Plus, the black cape was awesome! LOL

He was great too as the villain in Herencia, far outshined the galan, and was much more interesting! But then that is a trend lately it seems, I can think of only a few novelas in the last several years where I felt like the galan was the most interesting/attractive man in the show. It's usually one of the side characters who is a better actor and still doesn't get cast in the #1 role for whatever (probably cosmetic) reason. Though this doesn't seem to be the case for Daniel, and that's nice to see! :) He's earned his galan role.

OT. Darcy, the cape was okay ...but I hated that hat he wore. Ruined his vibe.

Susan

OT Darcy, Entré Tu Amor y Mi Amor, was the very first telenovela I ever watched on Telemundo (app) last year. He was the "dumb" galan. My daughter in laws sister in law (is there a nice Spanish label for that relationship like consuegra) then advised me the Venezuelan telenovelas were crazy and recommended Colombian titles (her native country). I still vividly remember most of that novela though. I was freezing the show every other line and typing in the dialogue in my Spanish English dictionary app. Which BTW does not translate 4°. I ended up sending her a screenshot to learn that it was cuatro (bedroom). I am happy to report I rarely look up words anymore and this forum is a huge help in that matter. The mother of Daniels character spoke so nice and slow, even though she was wicked to the bone it was so much easier to understand her, lol

OT..Kat. I watched " Entre Tu Amor y Mi Amor." I think it was produced by Venevision . It was pretty crazy . Yes, Daniel's character's mother was evil personified . I didn't think much of the leading lady's acting talents , but Daniel did a good job even at that young age. However, it was a fun ride.
