El Angel de Aurora

#73 will be up tomorrow. I am returning from a medical appointment and will have some tea and heading straight to bed. Tomorrow I will learn about the madness that happened today.

Part 1 of 4

Antonio went to the Santos' new house Angel's invitation to hear him out. He told Antonio that he did not use Helena for any purpose, that he truly loved her. Antonio told him he believed him. They sat down and Angel explained that Demon offered him payment of his mother's medical needs and his freedom in exchange for breaking up with Helena. He had not caved immediately. Antonio pointed out that he, Aurora, and JC were there to help him. Angel said he had not known and he was fixated on getting out to be with his family, plus Demon has convinced him that Helena would be in danger at his side. He knew later that this wasn't right but others told him the last lie. He told Helena he didn't love her but that was also a lie. Antonio understood. He said he would cancel out the debt to Demon and take care of this. Angel feared that it was too late. The doctor was in his mother's room at that moment.

The reception was still going on in the Camper parlour. Patricia had feared that the wedding would have been stopped, just like in a telenovela [This line is standard in any contemporary story].

Pascual entered with coffee, saying that Vicki had no appetite. As Angel left the room, Pascual expressed concern about the look on Jezabel's face. Antonio sat down and asked whether she recognized him. He didn't know but was concerned about what could happen if she had. Antonio said they needed to keep this to themselves.

Aurora returned to the reception and told JC about Vicki. He was okay with her decision but told her that her relatives were peeved. She went to Demon first but he sarcastically commented about her putting charity above her family and that she had walked out of a church to do this. He called this a lack of respect for him and Helena, who now did not want to hear her out. Jezabel stopped Aurora from following Helena. Citing the same objection as Demon's and adding Antonio's departure to the situation. It was also loud enough to be heard by most of the guests, who began talking. A comment was made about Antonio's departure. Demon tried to reproach her but she told him that she was sure he lied about Angel and that Angel was telling the truth. He made sure all the guests heard this.

At Maggie's house the Musketeeers and the Stooge talked about the messages from Carlitos they found on his phone. Rolando played with the music box. Luis said that this means that Jezabel had nothing to do with this and Maggie agreed with him [He's an infatuated idiot and she is justfiably afraid of Jezabel].


That Night

Vicki looked at her family and told them how much she loved them and how grateful she was to have had them. Between wheezes and coughs she told each of them how she loved them for what they brought into her life. She asked Angel for one favor” The next day she wanted to see Briana, Helena, and Aurora. Angel doubted that Helena would listen to him but Pascual said he will do it, but Vicki must rest now.

Part 2 of 4

The Next Morning

While Pascual sent Anita to school in the capable hands of Angel's friend, Angel went to the Campero mansion for Helena, only to provoke Demon who was already having a tantrum about the risk of missing their flight.

Jezabel arrived at the Santos' house, much to Pascual's apprehension. She gloated “Yes, it's you, I remember you.” Flashback to the day that he tried to return baby Gabriel to Aurora. Unfortunately in the present, he admitted that was him.

Demon tried to prevent Angel from talking to Helena, but h managed to tell her that Vicki waned to see her and Aurora. Demon accused him of using his mother's illness to blackmail Helena, but the thoroughly denied that. Helena agreed, but said she never wanted him to see him again and he was not to come to her house again. Demon insultingly said he didn't believe him and ordered him out, even pointing to the door. Angel unfortunately took the bait by telling Helena he loved her and she would soon know what sort of man Demon was.

Jezabel became insulting, as usual, with the usual snobbish accusation about money. He countered with the truth always coming to light and this is why she is reacting this way. She told him the baby died and he was trying to get money out of her sister's misery. He told her thst she and not he was the cause of he sister's pain. Of course she pulled the “How dare you speak to me that way” Card and the argument continued, loud enough to wake Vicki when Jezabel insisted that the baby was dead. Pascual should not have said “That is what you would have wanted, just like that disgrace that was your father.” He went on about Miguel hitting him while he held the infant and said they stood for nothing. She accused him of arrogance and he pointed out that he was always for his family while she and her father
threw away his grandchild, her nephew, the son of Aurora. “Angel is Gabriel.” Jezabel turned around, hand on her head as if she had a headache. She finally turned around and said that if this was true he could end up in prison for kidnapping. He answered that he would risk that for having saved Gabriel's life and the only guilty ones here were herself and her father and Angel, whom she mistreated is the son of Aurora Campero. Jezabel said she was happy her nephew was alive and “If you're lying you have no idea what I'm capable of.”

Vicki got out of bed and said “You will not touch any of my family, Jezabel Campero. We still have forces to defend us.” Pascual told Vicki she should not have gotten out of bed. Jezabel then said that they were the ones who had hurt her family with “You don't know how many times my sister's heart broke over the blackmailers, bad people whose actions sent her to hospital.” Vicki said “You and your father had no fear of God. You destroyed your sister's life and changed the destiny of my son. Because Angel is my son.” Jezabel answered by saying nobody would believe such an absurd story. “Gabriel died.” “Gabriel is alive and soon he will be returned to Senora Aurora.”

Helena told Demon she could not leave for their honeymoon without seeing Vicki. He took his mother's party line saying this was blackmail and basically saying that he was her husband demanding respect and they were leaving together punto.

Vicki said there was no more to be said. This devolved into an argument about Antonio and Pascual telling her that if there is any trouble about Angel and Helena he will talk with her.

Part 3 of 4

At the office Cassandra needed to talk to Aurora but ended up telling JC that Jezabel falsified records to say that Gabriel was dead.

Helena and Demon argued about her wanting to see Vicki and why she was prioritizing this over her marriage and the blackmail word came up again. He tried guilt-tripping her and she said they needed to reschedule the honeymoon by a week.

JC tried to get Cassandra to tell him everything but she became afraid. He told her the information was safe with him. She looked back at the closed door and almost whispered that she heard her tell someone that she had falsified a death certificate. She tried to back off this but JC asked whom sje was talking to and she told him it was Demon JC said he would not involve her in this but they had to tell Aurora.

Jezabel said that if this were true she would take him away from Antonio and it would not matter that Vicki was sick. She also said that Angel would not care either if he knew he was Gabriel.
“He would forget about you.” She ended by thanking them for taking care of him all those years and wishing them a good day as she left.

Cassandra was scared witless and JC promised to protect her. He promised not to tell on her. She hugged him and Aurora came in. Cassandra said this was nothing bad; JC was helping her with a problem. She ran out and Aurora asked what problem.

Demon's gaslighting continued, saying that Angel was manipulating her so she would go running back to him.

JC had to break his word to Cassandra as he told her of Jezabel, Rocha, and the fake death certificate. He told Aurora he had promised not to involve her but she got Cassandra into the office and got her to spill the beans. Aurora was a bit incredulous and said she was going to talk to her immediately [though she should be able to see Jezabel's true nature by now].

Helena and Demon continued their argument in the same vein as before.

JC stopped Aurora from leaving her office, knowing that here was a need to prepare for such a confrontation. He persuaded her to see Vicki first.

Briana found Angel on the park bench. Their conversation was a little awkward but the ultimately left together.

Pascual and Vicky talked and she said that nobody could take Angel away from them. Pascual suspected that Antonio was trying to in his way. Vicki said that all those yeas ago he had risked death to save Gabriel and that made him his father. And she his mother.

Briana continued to tell Angel that Helena never loved him and also pointed out how Helena treated her father at the wedding.

Part 4 of 4

Antonio and Pascual talked about love. Antonio explained that he had lost twice in that: The first because of immaturity and the second... He said that most people see riches in material things and Psscual said that the greatest riches were in love. Antonio told him not to make the same mistake that he had done with Helena. Never abandon your children.

JC went to the police station to pick up the copies of Pintas' alter egoes, which came from multiple cities.

Pintas was in his digs with Jezabel. He was probably drunk as she accused him of deception about Angel, whose identity he knew all along.

Pascual told Angel and Anita that Antonio was with their mother. The doorbell rang and Helena entered but not alone. [Demon would obviously not let her out of his sight.] Aurora arrived almost immediately behind them. Anita went to Helena and Aurora hugged Gabriel and told him that Vicki would always watch over him. She compared it to her love for Gabriel which never died. She could see their reunion in his face.

Thanks, Urban, I enjoyed your recap. I felt like Demon was showing his true colors to Helena. Which she has seen before, but I’m hoping this time she took note of it. And Pintas is on the verge of being caught but i wonder if he’ll live to be caught.
I really thought something would be discovered when Rolando was playing with the music box. But not sure how the music box could connect Jezabel to Carlos’ death.

Angel/Aurora. Excellent recap, Urban! Demian gets more and more disgusting with every episode. Fall, anvil, fall! I'm afraid that within the next few episodes everyone will know about Angel's true identity except Angel and Aurora, the 2 people who most need to know. It was dramatic irony when Aurora said that she finds Gabriel in Angel's glance. And Aurora finally seems to be realizing that Jezabel betrayed her--hard to believe that she doesn't believe it. And again, DNA! DNA!

Part 1 of 3

JC went to the police station to show a photo of Pintas and explain that he had been harassing the Campero family for years. The plainclothesman at the desk said they need a restraining order. JC told him about the most recent encounter.

Jezabel asked Pintas about Pascual. He denied knowing him but she saw him at her son's wedding. He told her everything. She also figured out why he didn't kill Angel. He was glad to be the father of a millionaire. “That means we are family!” He creeped on her

JC told the desk man that Pintas presented a danger to his family. Police needed to search the whole barrio for him. Antonio had previously filed charges, The cop had another send for Jezabel.

Antonio arrived at the Santos house. Briana left the room to see Angel and Vicki.

Jezabel pointed out to Pintas that if he spoke everyone would know that he had raped her sister. He was to stay in his apartment and not contact her. However, Angel must die. He looked shocked. She said not to worry about the money. He did mention Vampi and Huevo; she did not care about that. She then ordered him to throw away his cell phone and communicate only with Patricia.

Briana told Vicki she had cut her hair when her mother would hit her. It was how she dealt with her pain. She told her about Edgar and said she'd like to introduce him to her, saying she always thought she didn't need anyone but now realized she did. [Really, who cares at this point?]

Edgar asked Teté why she didn't become an actress. She said that was Patricia's thing. He asked about his father and she said he doesn't want to know. He ran off and that was that. She asked about Cassandra. He had mentioned her when drunk. At her next question he said he was not in love and this was a passing fancy. Teté actually said she was hoping for a grandchild and as soon as possible [This lady is full of surprises]. He said it would not happen because he could not see himself as being a good father.

Cassandra was eating with Patricia. She told her she was having stomach problems. Then she refused a bowl of caldo de carne. Patricia was sure she was pregnant. Cassandra denied this, saying she was anxious about work. Patricia asked if thee wee problems with Jezabel. Cassandra denied this but asked Patricia about the issues between Jezabel and Aurora. Patricia said there was nothing important and she was imagining things. The waiter came with another bowl of soup and Cassandra ran to the loo.

Edgar would not say more about his private life. Subject changed to Jezabel. Teté told him about her encounter with her. He warned he to be careful because Jezabel is dangerous. “No more than I,” Teté replied. “One of these days I will wipe the smile off that slut's face.” [We will be cheering you on!]

Pintas was on the phone with Vampi about his next plan.

Part 2 of 3

Night

Although he said the opposite Demon was happy that Helena did not see Vicki. Helena said she would go early the next day. It looked inconsistent to her that he would help Vicki and deny her this. She asked if he could put himself in Angel's place [as if!]. He tried to coerce her into sex but she pulled back.

Rolando was convinced of Angel's innocence. Maggie asked about Vicki and Angel said she was suffering. Aurora said she needed rest and Angel mentioned Demon coming with Helena in a tone acknowledging his toxicity.

JC showed the copies of Pintas' ID cards and she was incredulous. This creep ha entered her house! JC said justice will be served. JC told her that Jezabel is a manipulator and to say nothing until the next day, with a cool head. She agreed. And to be careful about Cassandra.

Angel and Helena could not stop thinking of each other.

Jezabel recorded her conversation with Pintas. She said to herself “Not possible that Angel could be your son.” She looked at the photo of Miguel, thinking “Maldito.” She would have thrown it across the room when Demon came in and they argued about Angel. Jezabel said they had to kill him but Demon did not see the need. She said not doing so is more dangerous than she thought. He pointed out that they would be suspects. She didn't care. He asked what she was hiding from him. Before she could answer Aurora and JC entered.

Dr Rubio told Pascual that Vicki had to go into hospital. Anita begged Vicki not to die. She told Anita not to cry and said she had to see Aurora and Helena. Angel agreed to call.

Demon asked about Vicki and Aurora told her told him she was very ill. Aurora then said that the hospital director falsified the death certificate on Gabriel. Jezabel asked how she thought she had any involvement. There was an argument, then Aurora said she and JC were leaving and Jezabel had better prepare herself for the sale of her half of the house.

Angel called Helena to tell her that his mother needed to see her and Aurora.

Jezabel predictably told Aurora she had no right to accuse her or to sell her half of the house. Aurora said she had every right and accused her of obstructing her search for her son. JC then announced that the police had found the rapist and that he had various aliases, including Romualdo Garcia. He mentioned meeting him in the elevator at the office. Jezabel denied knowing him. Helena came into the room to tell Aurora that Vicki was dying and wanted to see her. Demon tried to go with them, but Helena said she didn't want any conflict between him and Angel. Jezabel agreed, saying she wanted no more trouble with this family. JC got her to agree to talking with the police, saying that he only came to the office for a job and later to the house. Helena asked about him and Aurora told her he was the man who raped her and ruined her life. Demon said to go,

Antonio told Pascual he was sure Vicki would tell Aurora the truth. Pascual didn't like this, saying he was drowning in the knowledge of her imminent death. He wanted to die with her. Antonio apologized for being selfish. Pascual got up to go to the bedside. Briana came in and did not like hearing that Helena was coming. Antonio said it was Vicki's last wish.

Jezabel and Demon argued. Cassandra's and Rochas' names were dragged through it. He was sure she was hiding something. She finally confessed that Pintas/Romualdo had raped Aurora on her orders. He looked shocked. He did not understand how she would do this. She told him her version of this and began to lie but he persisted and she revealed her epic resentments. She stuck to the lie about Aurora being a flirt, manipulating everyone. Demon told her to shut up. Jezabel lied some more finally saying she hated her.

Part 3 of 3

Pintas and Patricia drank out of beer glasses. She asked him questions about the Santos family because her daughter was in love with Angel.

Jezabel went on about Miguel leaving almost everything to Aurora. She went on about Aurora using him as a substitute for her missing bastard son. He became angry and told her to shut up. He got paranoid about being blackmailed. He couldn't take any more and went out angry, looking at the photo of Miguel and shouting “Leave me in peace!” before heading out the door. Jezabel said to herself “You haven't heard the best part: Your worst enemy is your cousin.”

Pintas was drunk and after managing to lie about how long he knew the Santos family began really coming on to Patricia. She managed to escape.

Angel thanked Aurora, Helena, and JC for coming. Briana tied to stop Helena from going in with Aurora, but Antonio held her back.

Dr Rubio looked at Pascual, gravely shaking her head. Angel watched Vicki. He tried to persuade her to go into hospital. Vicki told Helena that Angel sacrificed for her and that he loved her (Helena). She looked at Aurora and told her not to wipe her tears because they are minor compared to hers. “They snatched your son.” Pascual looked like he was going to panic. Vicki asked Aurora to forgive her. Aurora replied that she did nothing to be forgiven for. She told Aurora to care for Angel, her family. She told Angel that he would someday forgive her and his father. Angel told Vicki what a great mother she is. All piled their hands on Vicki's. Just as she almost finished saying “Because he is your son” she died before the final two words. Pascual said “No; you can't leave me.” Pascual cried as he recalled past declarations of love. Flashbacks to happy tines later Aurora hugged Helena who then tried to tell Angel that he was the best son. They hugged just as Briana entered.

 

Angel / Aurora #73/74

The latest episode makes me think that Demon is likely to aid in Jezabel's Karmageddon. He seemed genuinely shocked that she paid someone to rape her own sister. Has it also sunk in that she is responsible for two suicides? Harder to prove, but not impossible.

If Cassandra is pregnant will Jezabel try to convince Aurora that JC is responsible?

We still don't know what that strange glove is all about.
 

Angel/Aurora. An incredibly good recap right on the heels of another one, Urban! I hope Pintas finally gets his! Are we surprised that Jezabel is ever more evil? I'm pretty sure Cassandra is pregnant too. Those symptoms are such a common novela theme!--unless the writers are playing with us. Vicki's death was very sad and moving--but of course she didn't disclose Angel's true parentage.
 

Angel / Aurora #74

Of course; too many episodes left. There are also many conflicts.

Tete is a madame who just recruited her son's half-sister. How much more messed-up will that make Briana and Edgar? Or will Briana enjoy playing for pay?

When Aurora learns that Angel is her son and that Antonio knew that three months before she is likely to get very angry with him, which would mean at least 3 weeks of episodes before forgiving him.

Big blow-up of the marriage of Helena and Demon.

If Helena and Angel are endgame they need paternity tests.

Jezabel wants to destroy JC, who has her number. However, her ultimate prize would be the death of Angel because that would destroy Aurora.

Thanks for another great recap Urban. I was surprised at how mad Demon got at his mother about what she did to Aurora. I figured he was out to get his aunt just like Jezabel is. He was all for Christine her out of the presidency, and probably the company. He was always so two-faces with her. I can’t picture him turning on Jezabel but it now seems that could happen. I also didn’t realize Helena didn’t get to see Vicky the day before. But i was glad she left him behind this time.
I still can’t warm up to Briana. I’m happy to see her go work for Tete. But it would be great if Tete brings Jezabel down.
