FUGITIVAS #64 Part 1

Ismael is pouring himself a drink when the doorbell rings. It’s Florencia with a file in her hand. Did you sign the divorce papers he asks, After she quickly admits she has not, he looks upset. Why not he asks (obviously disappointed). She stares at him levelly announcing “you are going to be a father; I’m pregnant!! “What?” Ismael answers. She hands him the pictures as he stares stunned and speechless. She puts his hand on her stomach as he expresses his surprise. When he doesn’t fall at her feet, Florencia mutters “Esta bien” and grabs the photos back. She acts offended and I believe she says the baby needs both parents. He admits this is a huge surprise. They continue talking as her lip oh so delicately quiver. He offers to take her home…

Vincente is at a bar with his buds as a pretty girl comes up and asks about his novia. She is at home he answers. (Too bad he didn’t stay home as well I offer exasperated)

One of Lucre’s associates is handing out chocolate. She gets support from her friends as she talks about Vincente. The friend retrieves his card and hands it to her.

Liquor is flowing fast and free as Vincente and his friends are belting down drinks with lightning speed.

Upon seeing Ismael, Arturo is infuriated; Ismael has treated his daughter with scorn and contempt. Ismael gets the overt hint and leaves. Florencia pouts a bit… (I wonder when she is going to tell Arturo she’s pregnant?)

Lucre uses a pay phone to call Vincente (who’s already three sheets to the wind), so obviously can’t reach him.

Ismael hears Florencia’s words reverberate in his head, telling him she is pregnant. “Mi hijo” he says to his gullible self.

Dario and Frida start bussing tables. The sexual tension, with much yearning and longing are finally too much and they share a long and very passionate kiss.

FUGITIVAS #64 Part 2

Vincente and his friends are beyond inebriated, several of them are so drunk, they’ve laid their heads on the table. One of his “friends” drags him over to the bar to order yet another drink but the bartender shuts them off. When the bartender leaves, the guys climb behind the bar and start chugging from the bottles. The bartender returns and tries to intervene but they push him away.

Facundo texts Montse with a caring text. Lisset is happy for her friend but urges her to be careful; this isn’t a fantasy.

Gabriela gets a call from Vincente. What is it my love she asks; after he speaks (we don’t hear what he says) she jumps up and runs out.

Dario and Frida have moved to his bedroom and they lie on the bed where more intense kisses ensue.

A worried sick Gabriela calls Arturo telling him Vincente got into a fight at a bar and was arrested!

Gabriela goes to the police inquiring about her novio. She is told he is there and that he was involved in a fight and consequently, a bartender is gravely hurt. She hears her sister’s voice echoing in her head, warning her that Vincente is violent!!

A livid Arturo shows up at Vincente’s cell. Why are you here Vincente asks. Arturo screams that due to the fight he was involved in, a bartender is gravely hurt. It seems as though Vincente (rubbing his aching head) doesn’t remember much. Arturo seems to begrudgingly say he will get him a lawyer. On his way out, a furious Arturo tells Gabriela he will get him a lawyer tomorrow but vows Vincente must pay the consequence of his actions.

The next morning, Dario wakes up kissing Frida on the shoulder and then gets dressed. She rouses, smiling…Te amo they tell each other as more kisses are exchanged.

Poor Gabriela hears more voices from past conversations swirling about her head, especially warnings from Lorena about Vincente’s being dangerous; she starts shaking.

Frida walks back into the bedroom greeted by her friends gentle but caring teasing. She waxes poetically and the girls are thrilled for her. Dario is in the kitchen smiling, which doesn’t escape Marta’s attention. He tells her and Marta says Frida is a good person.

Vincente screams for a guard who tells him to be quiet. He asks for a bit of water. This isn’t a hotel the guard tells him so parched Vincente can do nothing but take a seat.

FUGITIVAS #64 Part 3 of 3

Florencia walks into the kitchen and is greeted by Charo telling her Vincente is in jail. He is an idiot Florencia declares (rightly so). Florencia has no patience or tolerance and is completely unsympathetic; distraught Charo reminds her Vincente is family.

Amanda enters Ismael’s office nattering on and then realizes Ismael isn’t paying attention. Are you all right? No. He tells her he saw Florencia last night. You’re getting divorced right she asks? He admits Florencia came to him saying she is pregnant. Amanda asks if he is going back with her. Ismael confesses he is thinking about it; one of the reasons seems to be he is afraid of what would happen to his son being raised around the terrible influence of the Marquez family. Amanda somberly takes this in.

To our disgust (but NOT to our surprise) Ivan shows up at the jail. Gabriela doesn’t look happy but Arturo tells her Ivan is an excellent lawyer.

Amanda is empathetic telling Ismael that it’s a complicated decision. Ismael apologizes but Amanda says she appreciates that he confided in her. Then, both get back to business.

Lisset sees Charo is actually crying!! Mi Vincente is in jail he got in a fight she admits. Lisset immediately texts Lorena who thanks her. Lorena calls Alejandro who asks how the love of his life is. Well, he asked so she tells him!

Naturally, Lucre tries Vincente again but to no avail. Her female friend tells the others he is busy with other cases. In frustration, Lucre rips up Vincente’s business card. Her friend walks over and picks up the pieces.

Alejandro arrives at the jail and sees Gabriela sitting next to Arturo. He changes course quickly flirting with and flattering one of the courthouse workers. He gives her a velvet bag with a bracelet which she promptly puts on, delighted. Oh, and btw, he needs a bit of information on Vincente and she obligingly goes to find it.

Vero brings Florencia her tea. She tells her she told Ismael about the baby last night; I wish I understood more but I didn’t.

The worker tells Alejandro about the fight and that the victim was taken to the hospital; Ivan Castro is the lawyer.

Ivan walks up to Vincente’s cell, throwing him a bottle of water and gives him a Sammie. Ivan signals for the guard to leave. Ivan wants the truth – all of it. While I couldn’t translate exactly what he said, it didn’t appear Vincente can remember much!
Kindly add what I missed and/or correct what I might have gotten wrong.

No show tomorrow on New Year’s Eve.

Juana #57 part 1 of 3

Quiroz tells Gabriel with all the evidence against him he’ll have difficulty proving his innocence. Quiroz then asks Salvador what he thinks and he says the fact that he fled won’t look good. When Claudio walks out Carlos, Enriqueta and David ask about Gabriel being released. He says the police feel he tried to escape so it will be difficult.

Inez, Dani and the other two girls are watching a laptop that shows Gabriel being brought in in handcuffs. Inez feels it’s very unjust that they would think he’s an assassin. Apparently the crowd disagrees with them. Dani is worried because she didn’t see Juana.

Felipe tells Juana he wishes he could help her, he knows she’s scared. She tells him that the Fiscual and others in power are doing this to Gabriel. Felipe wonders why and she mentions bad feelings between the two families. Felipe says she has to take care of herself for the baby and the whole family will help her. Jenny is sad for Juana. Josefina says they found them the first day. Jenny says no, they had to get a hotel room. Josefina flips out about them in the same room so Jenny explains the separate beds and the sheet. She buries her face in a book and Josefina and Ramon look at each other.

Quiroz tells Salvador he had his doubts but he did what he said he would do. He’s a brilliant detective. Salvador mentions all the evidence is circumstantial and Quiroz says he’ll taking over the case.

Paula is watching the video and says you’ve (Gabriel) turned me into your worse enemy.

Gabriel is thinking of various memories of Juana.

Pacheco brings Salvador coffee and clean clothes. He asks if he thinks the Fiscual is behind this, Salvador says yes, but he has no proof. When asked that they should do Salvador says hide. Not sure what he meant. I also think he spent the night at the jail because he mentioned it only took minutes for Juana’s attackers to be taken care of.

Jenny answers the door to Dani and thinks she looks great. Dani tells her a couple of friends at work dis it. Jenny shows her some clothing catalogs. Juana is looking at her ring when Dani comes in.

Pacheco goes to Gabriel’s cell. Gabriel asks about Salvador. Pacheco tells him Salvador stayed all night watching the cameras. He tells him where they are. He and Salvador will be his security.

Salvador comes to see how Jenny and Juana are. Jenny says Juana is very worried about Gabriel. She thanks him for protecting him. As they hug Josefina comes in. He tells her Jenny was a big help. Josefina gives him a hug of thanks too. He says it’s nothing, he feels like one of the family. Jenny walks him out and tells him how she misses his kisses and can’t stop thinking about their time together. When she goes back in Josefina wants to know how she helped Salvador. She says you went away as two separate people and came back a couple. Jenny says he’s the love of her life and Josefina says she knew it from the first time he came through the door.

Yadria’s two neighborhood friends saw them kissing and go tell Yadria. She’s going to tell Jenny to leave her man alone.

Juana #57 part 2

Dani says Juana’s ring is beautiful. Juana says in all the hiding etc. this was a serene, beautiful moment. Then she asks about Dani. Dani tells her Joe Inez, Suzy and Vivian changed her makeup and clothes. She went on a date but still wants David.

Salvador is doing a little dance. He tells Pacheco everything is going great in his life. Pacheco says he deserves it. Salvador asks about Gabriel and Pacheco tells him he won’t eat because he’s afraid they food will be poisoned. Salvador gives him money and tells him to get food for him. As Pacheco leaves Paula comes in. She wants to see Gabriel, she’s his wife and has every right to see him. If he doesn’t agree she’ ll go to the Fiscual or the secretary of governor.

Manuel goes into Camila’s office and asks if she talked to his dad. Yes, he forgives her but will finish her if she doesn’t do what he wants. He tells her “the three” asked who’s side he’s on. Camila says without Gabriel to protect her she has to stay with his father.

Memo hears the two neighborhood woman talking about Yadria and Jenny. Ramon comes up to him wanting to talk.

Jenny is watering the plants and stops to thank the Virgin for taking care of Juana. And for giving her Salvador. Yadria walks up and starts yelling at her. Jenny tells her not to yell at heron her property. And Salvador never was hers. Yadira sends her a video of the two of them in bed. Did we know he did that? I don’t remember. And who takes videos of the people they go to bed with. That’s one sick girl. Jenny tells her to go and Yadria says it’s a public street and she had told her she and Salvador were together. Jenny starts crying and Yadira woshut her mouth. Jenny attacks her, pulling her hair. Josefina comes out to stop it and Jenny turns the hose on Yadira, finally! Josefina asks what’s wrong and Jenny says she can’t tell her.

Memo tells Ramon he is content. Josefina and the kids make him feel content. He tells Ramon he thought he had come back to win her back but Ramon says he came back to make sure she would be happy without him. Memo says he was happy at the dinner, but nothing happened. Just then Jenny rushes by, they ask what’s wrong happened but she doesn’t say. Ramon goes after her.
Josefina is telling Juana what happened in front of the
Virgin. They laugh but no their mother must have had a good reason. Ramon catches up to Jenny wanting to know what’s wrong. She says her heart is broken. Ramon says everything has a solution but Jenny says not this.

Salvador brings Paula in. She says she never imagined him being so humiliated, miserable, destroyed and poor. She says it hurts to see him like this. He doesn’t believe her. He asks what’s wrong happened happened to them that they ended up like this. She moves closer and wonders if he wants her back. He’d have to drop that neighborhood girl. He grabs her hair and says leave Juana alone, she doesn’t know what he’s capable of. She’s yelling for help but when two policemen get there Gabriel is back on the bench. He tells them he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, she needs a psychiatrist.

The lawyer hands Rogelio the papers giving him power over Elvira’s shares. He says finally and calls Enriqueta to call a meeting of the shareholders as he now has Elvira’s shares.

Diana, thanks. I can't add much about Florencia and Vio's conversation. All I recall is that she is pregnant and he wasn't happy.

Lucre didn't give that last phone call much time to go through. 2 rings and she hung up....

Wonder if the bar has security cameras to discover who actually bashed the bartender with the bottle. Lorena actually stayed put for a change! I almost expected her to go comfort Gabriella.

I think Arturo advised Gabriella to go home and rest. Vicente wouldn't be released that night. She chose to remain at the police station.

Did anyone else cringe at the exuberance and love details Frida told her friends. Do women really act that way? I never would have.

It will be nice to have a night off....

OT, the trailers for las hijas looks interesting. One of the daughters is the main actress from Marea de Passiones I think.
 

Juana # 57 part 3

Vivian walks up to Manuel and reminds him of when he asked her what she thought of his father. She says Manuel is always quiet, always observing and she thinks he’s afraid, but of what? His father?

Camila is telling Carlos that Rogelio has Elvira’s shares. He knows, Rogelio called a meeting. Camila doesn’t understand why he’s letting him do this. They need Gabriel. Carlos says they have to do this without Gabriel. Camila tells him Rogelio will finish all of them.

David smiles broadly as Dani appears and apologizes for being late. She stopped to see Juana, she’s very worried about her and Gabriel. David is worried too, about them and the brewery. Dani says that’s normal, this is their second home and the coworkers are their second family. David has liked getting to know Dani, she’s intelligent and brave. She gets flustered and has to go. Another broad smile from David.

Salvador talks about Paula coming to see him. Gabriel doesn’t understand what holding up the divorce. Salvador says a judge in their pocket. Gabriel will be going before the Fiscual. He should stay calm and tell the truth.

Ramon is home and asks Josefina what’s wrong with Jenny, she was crying in the street. Josefina says she had a fight with Yadira and she thinks it was over Salvador.

Salvador is studying his wall of photos when Jenny shows up calling him a hypocrite. He doesn’t know what she’s talking about so she shows him the video. He says they (he and Jenny) weren’t together then and it was they day he sawher kiss her boss. She says he kissed her. They’re done. She leaves. Pacheco comes in asking what happened. He says nothing.

Two shareholders are talking about Gabriel when Rogelio and Paula walk in. Rogelio’s lawyer tells our three, plus Camila that Paula is here because the judge gave her half Gabriel’s shares. He tells Paula she has no shares and never did anything anyway, she can leave. Dani asks Inez what she thinks is happening in the meeting. She doesn’t know but it can’t be good. Paula and Eogelio are gloating.

Gabriel and Claudio are being interviewed by Quiroz. It doesn’t go well as
Quiroz feels they have proof he’s guilty and is a dangerous man. Gabriel reaches over the table and grabs Quiroz.

At the meeting Rogelio basically appoints himself president. Carlos tries to speak but isn’t allowed. Three men vote for Rogelio.

I'm sure Ivan will get Vincente off; he is so detestable!!

I'm happy to see Maria Sorte finally has a star role in Las Hijas. Yes, Oka Giner (Marea) is one of the daughters, Ela Velen is the other. It also has Guillermo Cantu and Emmanuel Palomares who was paired with Oka in Perdona nuestros pecados.

Liz. Thanks. Ni had wondered if Yadira had somehow superimposed Salvador's head into the sex tape. She certainly is a piece of work. No wonder chaco mentioned in one of the earliest episodes that he had to lose weight to appear in her "movies". At the time I thought she was a porn star. I'm thinking Salvador can sue her for taping without his consent....

Carlos did manage to say was Rogelio electing himself interim president, but Rogelio ignored that.

Thanks Kat. I was surprised at the video too. Which definitly must be against the law. He said it was the night Jenny and the boss kissed. I just remember him pushing her off him in the door way of the restaurant. My first thought was she must have Felipe on video too. I’d love to see him put her in handcuffs.

Thanks for the imput from Carlos. I’m trying to watch a scene and type out from memory. Doesn’t always work!

FUGITIVAS #65 and #66 Part 1

Ivan walks up to Vincente’s cell, throwing him a bottle of water, giving him a sammie. Ivan signals for the guard to leave. Ivan wants the truth – all of it. From the little I could gather; it didn’t appear Vincente could remember much!

“How are you mi amor” Dario inquires. “Bien” Frida says, looking anything but. He asks what’s wrong…we had such a wonderful night he begins. It was the night of my life; I love you with all my heart she cries. She cradles his face in her hands and seems to indicate the situation is untenable no matter how much she cares. He tells her he loves her just as Matias walks in. There was more dialogue I couldn’t interpret.

Patricio calls Marta: he is a man in love!!

Alejandro and Lorena meet as she muses how violent Vincente is. He is a murderer she cries.

Our lovebirds meet for a meal. After Marta hedges, Patricio wonders why she doesn’t want him at her house.

Facundo calls Montse asking if she is busy. I think he wants to come and see her at her house (?) Frida seems to have a freak out not sure why.

Ivan and Arturo confab at the courthouse.

Amanda comes into Ismael’s office who is once again a million miles away. She suggests a coffee…They sit companionably, she tells him something that has him laughing with her. Unfortunately, Florencia sees them and stalks over indignantly. “Why are you here” Florencia asks Amanda contemptuously. Amanda immediately leaves as Florencia makes a threatening move. Ismael is naturally upset but sits. Florencia asks if they have a relationship, he assures her they do not. I believe she asks if they are getting a divorce and he says he’s confused. He chastises her and then gets up and leaves.

Vincente comes out to greet his father and Ivan. Vincente does look a bit embarrassed and repentant as the three leave.

Ismael is home and calls Amanda. He apologizes; she says he has nothing to apologize for. He says something about Nico. She manages to get him smiling before he hangs up. She smiles and opens a book.

FUGITIVAS #65 and #66 Part 2

Lisset tells Dario they have a surprise for him. He comes outside and everyone (girls, Marta and Matias) are lined up. They do a countdown and then show him a brand-new illuminated sign “Oasis”. They cheer and everyone piles on for a hug; Frida goes right into his arms as everyone dances around them.

Charo is preparing for bed when she hears voices. “Vincente” she says to herself. Ahh but Vincente has gone to bed and only Ivan and Arturo remain. Something is said that has Charo opening her mouth in horror; she runs back to her room.

Vincente returns home to a worried Gabriela and I believe he seemed upset that she called his father but she explains she had no choice; it was that or jail. She talks about Lorena and Vincente ends up hugging her and apologizing.

Patricio calls Marta; and apparently pigs are now flying. Amanda has agreed to meet them both for lunch. Marta looks thunderstruck.

I don’t know whose house/apartment Charo sneaked into but she starts rifling through drawers and takes out a black binder which she leaves with.

As Patricio leaves the two women alone at the table; Amanda puts her cards on the table…I think she tells her she doesn’t approve but is going along for her father’s sake (?) When Patricio returns, Marta asks her how her father was growing up. It was the right question; Amanda smiles and says he was strict but…

Facundo and Montse finish their date, he invites her to his house. She seems delighted. Once there, they toast to each other and seem very much in synch…

Alejandro visits Ismael. Ismael has to take a call so Alejandro leaves. Just then Alejandro’s cell phone pings and Ismael picks it up and reads the text!!

We next see Lorena calling Alejandro wondering where he is. We now know it was her asking him to meet her in the park. Alejandro immediately realizes Ismael intercepted the call and runs out. Indeed, Ismael comes up behind Lorena, surprising her but assuring her he is alone.

Arturo knocks on Florencia’s door and after entering, asks her if she is pregnant. How do you know she asks?? Vero of course. As she expresses her annoyance, he thunders “I am your father” (shades of Darth Vadar). He seems to tell her Ismael doesn’t care about her is going to divorce her. He storms out leaving her to continue eating her cookies in bed.

FUGITIVAS #65 and #66 Part 3 of 3

Amazingly, Ismael seems to have convinced Lorena to trust him and they walk away; moments later Alejandro arrives getting extremely upset as he gets her voice mail.

Ismael brings Lorena to his apartment he asks if she wants a drink which she declines with a frosty “no”, arms folded. He asks her to forgive him. It seems he’s had a change in heart and now believes she is innocent and that Arturo is likely behind the murder.

Ale runs to Ismael’s office; shocker, he’s not there …

Ismael continues his apology tour then actually leans in to kiss Lorena! She stops him cold. All of a sudden, the doorbell rings and Ismael does actually check the peephole. He turns to Lorena eyes wide open in disbelief saying it’s Arturo Marquez!!

Looking at Comcast’s episode numbering, I believe this was actually two (sliced) episodes.

I apologize but I readily admit I was lost through almost all of this. I so very much wanted to relay what was discussed but I cannot interpret what I didn’t understand.

After the airing, I did check Wikipedia and there were several pivotal things that were noted there but if they were discussed tonight, they were unintelligible to me. One was why Vincente now seems to be cleared of not only the attack on the bartender but for Juan Pablo’s murder as well. The other was a connection between Arturo and Juan Pablo but again, not understanding, I was reluctant to mention that here in case either was a spoiler. If these items were mentioned kindly fill in that and anything else I missed.

Juana #58 part 1 of 3

Rogelio wants a toast to his presidency. Paula tells Inez her father deserves the best. Someone asks what’s his first plan and Rogelio says end the deal with the Spaniards. Carlos says they should be at a meeting and Rogelio says they’re not shareholders. Carlos says Gabriel should be here, this is illegal. As he, David and Enriqueta leave Rogelio says Paula is his new manager of distribution and as Gabriel’s wife she can control his shares.

Claudio is holding Gabriel back as Quiroz is saying something about his son. Gabriel accuses him of covering up the truth. As police officers take Gabriel away Claudio tries to speak on behalf of his client but Quiroz says he’s going to the jail with the rest of the assassins.

Our threesome are talking about what to do, Claudio is busy with Gabriel right now.

Viviana is talking to Manuel, who is trying to tell her he’s not afraid of his father. Camila interrupts to tell him his father ran her out of the meeting and is about to make himself president.

Gabriel is led back to his cell. Pacheco comes in to see what happened. Gabriel says he lost control. He needs to see Salvador. Salvador is talking to Claudio, who is telling him about Gabriel’s interview. Salvador says he’s sure Quiroz provoked him, but if he goes into the general population Salvador won’t be able to protect him. Claudio tells Salvador he has to go because he got an urgent call from the brewery that Rogelio has appointed himself president. Salvador says the war between the two families has gone on for generations and it looks like the Rubio’s lost.

Juana asks Josefina why Salvador or Gabriel haven’t called her. Josefina says Salvador came by earlier and Gabriel can’t call. She wants to go there but Josefina says she’ll just complicate things. She needs to take care of the baby. She’ll fix her some food.

Yadira and the two women are talking when Jenny comes up to them. Yadira says Salvador is her boyfriend. Jenny turns on the two woman for being Yadria’s eyes and ears. As they deny it Jenny turns back to Yadira and starts telling her off Yadira yells for help from the police, but Memo is right there. Jenny wonders if she recorded that scene to extort Salvador or just hurt her. She wonders if Felipe was recorded too.

Our threesome are in an office, maybe David’s, when Rogelio and Paula come in. Rogelio mentions the nice office chair. (I think it’s David’s office as he moved in when they fired Rogelio). Rogelio has the bottle of champagne and two glasses. He gives one to Carlos so they can toast. Carlos throws it against the wall and tells him he and his father were always so envious and they’ve been planning this for a long time. Rogelio doesn’t want his father mentioned. Carlos asks how they’re going to pay the Spaniards for their investment. Rogelio says they’re just his employees. He’s the boss and he’ll take care of it. Outside the staff is listening and say this is much worse than they thought.

Salvador is at Gabriel’s cell telling him Claudio had to go to the brewery. Gabriel says he imagines it’s because Rogelio made himself president. Salvador tells Gabriel they’re going to try to find someone on the inside to protect him when he’s moved. Gabriel wants to talk to a reporter. Salvador says his lawyer will have to do that. He can get Gabriel a 5 minute phone call. I’m not sure if he’ll call Claudio or Juana.

Juana # 58 part 2

Rogelio tells David he will go back to his old job as Paula will take over as manager of distribution. If Enriqueta and Carlos are not happy they can leave. Enriqueta says they’re going to stay to help the business. Manuel comes in and wants to talk to his father alone. Paula tells him they are united as a family.

Jenny comes home and Juana is worried that something happened to Gabriel because she looks so unhappy. She says no, but she’s going to lie down and they’ll talk later. Juana turns ro Josefina who tells her it’s something to do with Yadira, they had a fight in front of the statue.

The women are shocked that Yadira took a video, Memo too. They says she did a bad thing but she’s says she did it for love. They tell her they hope she erased it and it’s against the law. They leave and she turns to Memo, who thinks to record an intimate moment is really bad.

The office girls are in the meeting room straightening up. They’re not happy that Rogelio is the boss but they need the job. Rogelio and Paula come in. Rogelio wants all David’s personal things moved from Paula’s office. When they leave he happily sits in the head chair. Paula thinks it’s great. Manuel comes in and is told to keep an eye on David, Enriqueta and Carlos. Claudio tells our three that Rogelio can legally do what he’s doing. The three say they’re are staying because Gabriel needs them here.

Jenny is crying to Juana. Juana tells her the video was done before she and Salvador were together. Juana wants Jenny to erase the video but Jenny feels if she erases it it she’ll be more likely to forget it. Juana erases it. Jenny says she thought she found the love her life. She starts to mention the curse of the Bravo women but Juana tells her no!

Gabriel is telling Claudio all that he lost. Claudio says it can all be gotten back, he has to be strong. He’s telling him as his friend, not his lawyer.

Quiroz gives Salvador the papers to move Gabriel. Salvador says he could be in danger there. Quiroz says we do what we can but dangerous men hang around with dangerous people.

Gabriel says Paula shouldn’t have his shares. Claudio agrees, as it’s an inheritance. Rogelio is aware of this too. But Claudio say’s Paula’s lawyer deliberately made the divorce not happen. Gabriel tells him Rogelio only wants to destroy the Rubio brewery.

Rogelio is being told that Gabriel is being moved to the North area. (By phone-Quiroz). Rogelio wants Gabriel to suffer and then be finished off.

Gabriel calls Juana. She wants to come see him and her family is saying it’s dangerous. He agrees with her family. He tells her he’s being moved and she is now even more worried about him. He says he’ll be fine but she says he’ll be with dangerous people. He says he loves her and hangs up. Her mom and grandparents comfort her. Felipe and Margarita come in. She wants to go to the jail. Felipe tells her to think of the baby but she says who thinks of the baby’s father.

Juana #58 part 3

Sush and Iliana are wondering what will happen to our trio. Carlos says Rogelio isn’t interested in the employees, only in ruining the brewery. He gets a call that Gabriel is being transferred. Salvador gets in the back of the police car with Gabriel. Gabriel says he knows this isn’t his fault. Quiroz says something about continuing the protection to Claudio. Pacheco overhears this.

Dani is carrying a box of David’s things back to where they work. He tries to take it from her and their hands touch. He tells her Gabriel was transferred to the jail. She goes to him.

Salvador takes the handcuffs off Gabriel. He’s given clothes, goes through some bars, has his prison photos made and is taken to his cell.

Rogelio and Paula are laughing and toasting. Manuel comes in and they call him over to celebrate with him. Paula wonders what he’s been doing with Camila and he says nothing.

David asks Dani if she’ll be working with Rogelio again. She doesn’t know. He compliments her on how she was when she worked with him before. She goes to get the rest of his things.

Camila is in her apartment crying. Her mother asks if she’s crying over the man that has this apartment. She says he’s not worth it, leave him. Camila says it’s not that easy, the only way would be the same way she got rid of her father.

Jenny tells Ramon Juana is sleeping. He says lots of tears today. She apologizes for walking by him. It’s ok. Her mom told him it was a love problem and how she went after Yadira outside. He thinks she’s brave and marvelous.

Salvador is thinking of his argument with Jenny and what she said. Then Yadira walks in. Salvador tells her to never stop by here again. And if she’s thinking of using that video against him again, she better not. He tells her she needs to care and respect or no one will want to have anything to do with her.

Juana goes from no stomach to pregnancy tops. She remembers Gabriel caressing her stomach and wonders if the three will ever be together. The whole family greets her. She’s 6 months pregnant and her water breaks. It apparently she’s 7 months. Salvador goes in to see Gabriel. He was attacked and is bandaged, they said it’s a miracle he survived. He thinks there must be a price on his head. He asks how Juana is and Salvador says soon she’ll be better. Gabriel questions that and Salvador says she’s having the baby. Gabriel is surprised, she has two months to go. At the hospital Juana is having the baby! Jenny is with her and the baby is perfect.

Ivan tells Vincete this hasn't been the first time he has been involved in a situation like this. Vicente admits that he doesn't remember anything. He has only vague memories of altercations. He doesn't know what he did. It all began with a tequila shot contest. He lost count of how many shots he had. Ivan informs him he could end up in jail for 6-10 years for attacking the bartender.

Frida tells Dario that they should cherish their memory of their night together and agree to be just friends because she is going to have to leave soon. She could never forgive herself if he and and Marta ended up in jail for sheltering a fugitive. He is willing to take the risk. She isn't. What would happen to Matias?

Matias hasn't heard the conversation doesn't understand his father who tells him to do things that make him happy and he won't go back with her because of the most stupid of reasons: she is a FUGITIVE but she is a great person!

Alejandro tells Lorena they still do not have enough proof against Vicente to go to court.

Patricio wants to meet with Dario at Marta's house so he can formalize his intentions with her family aka Dario. He notices she gets nervous anytime he emotions her house. She says it is because her house isn't like most. There is no living room. or dining room to entertain in. There is only a kitchen. The place is a bar. They agree on getting together at a restaurant.

Facundo wants to send Montse a book. He asks for her address. That catches her off guard. She puts him off saying she will send it to him later.

Alejandro and Lorena go out for a while to clear their heads.

Ivan has bad news at the courthouse. The police won't accept the medical report on Vicente's hand which would free him from being responsible for the attack on the bartender. Arturo says the surgeon told them it would take Vicente at least a year until he would regain the strength in his hand. He could not have hit the bartender in the head. Ivan says that he could have used his left hand. Arturo informs him that Vicente is not left-handed. Ivan says no worries. He has just started and assures him he will get Vicente off. he is gong to go to the hospital and talk to the bar tender before the police take his statement. There is nothing that money cannot solve.

Amanda and Ismael are chatting and laughing about zodiac signs over coffee. Do they only read their horoscopes or do they (sort of) believe them??? She tells the tale of a guy who refused to continue going out with her because she was the wrong sign. He couldn't take controlling women. Amanda is a Capricorn and Ismael is a Pisces. He laughs and says he now understands why she wants to run the office.

Ismael tells Flo he plans on being there and supporting his child for his sake and he will be cordial with her but he doesn't want her creating anymore of these scenes. He asks her to let him know when her next ultrasound is. He would like to be there.

Arturo asks Ivan how much time Vicente's friend is going to get. (Do we smell a scapegoat??) Ivan answers that the judge will determine that. What is certain is that he is being transferred to prison today. Arturo isn't necessarily happy to hear that but if somebody has to end up crying, it is better that they end up crying in the friend's house and not his own. Vicente emerges.

Ismael tells Amanda that he wants her to take Nico along when she goes to talk to the doctor who operated on FUGITIVA Sara Jimenez the next day. He explains it is important to keep Nico involved in things that he considers important. He needs to feel indispensable. She will do her best. She asks Ismael what the most conflictive sign of the zodiac is. He has no idea. She says it has to be Nico's sign. They laugh.

After Vicente retires, Charo hears Arturo tell Ivan that he is grateful that he is there again to support him. Ivan says they are friends beyond being lawyer and client. Arturo goes on saying there are so few people who understand his life as well as he does. Furthermore, he never would have been able to acquire JP's father's land without Ivan's unconditional friendship. It turned out like he wanted it to. Ivan is ready to go home and rest. Arturo tells him to come to his office first so he can give him a check first.

Lorena tells Vicente that she was really worried about what happened to him because she has nobody else but him.

Facundo asks why Montse never sent her the address. She said that she was so busy she forgot to. He invites her to his home. She looks through a book on Greece. He suggests they go there together. They toast to that idea.

Wherever she is, Charo takes a folio entitled Playa Dorado.

When Patricio is not at the table, Amanda (being her nasty self) tells Marta that if she hurts her father, she will have her to contend with. Amanda insists on asking Marta about different FUGITIVAS and how well she knew them, etc. She has no pity for any of them. Patricio is clearly annoyed and suggests they change the topic. Marta changes the topic to Amanda who is happy to talk about herself and her father. She was so proud of him. He was so proud of h of her he was when he found out she wanted to be a detective like him.

Lucre has decided to enter the rehab center. They convinced her it was best for her son. She only regrets having to leave her friends, the only family she has.

After Ismael arranges to meet Lorena, he invites Alejandro back into his office. Alejandro tells him that Vicente was arrested the night before. His defense lawyer Ivan submitted a surgeon's report that stated that Vicente had carpal tunnel surgery on his right hand on Dec. 5. That surgery was done two weeks before JP was murdered. It would have been impossible for Vicente to have hit him in the head with a hammer. Ismael agrees. When he came from Argentina, he had a wrist brace on. Alejandro has concluded that the only suspect left is Arturo. Ismael says that when he met JP he was living with the Marquez family. He was just another member of the family. He quit his own independent career and took over legal matters for Marquez' construction company. Arturo had a special kind of affection for JP but Ismael noticed that shortly before JP's murder, that relationship had changed. Something must have happened because the relationship was not the same. Alejandro thinks that they have to investigate what changed.

Arturo offers to keep Ismael away from Flo and the baby. Flo tells Arturo she doesn't want a divorce because she doesn't want to be a single mother. The child needs a father figure. Arturo will be more than happy to be the father figure in the child's life. That doesn't make Flo any happier. She tells her father to keep out of it.

It is good to see Gerardo Murguia (Facundo) in this one. I just finished "La fea mas bella" today and he played the same kind of good looking supporting character as he has in so very many novelas like "Si nos dejan", "Como tu no hay dos"., Rubi", etc. etc. etc.

How convenient Vincente had hand surgery and is now not culpable for either JP's murder or hitting the bartender! Not surprising he has been in altercations before; Vincente sorely needs some counseling himself (IMHO).

Amanda warned Marta against hurting her father. I sort of had to smile, she does love him. She has a hard heart though and she needs to soften toward others and feel a bit of compassion.

So Arturo will be the baby's "father figure"?? God help the little tyke.

Jarifa, thank you for making such smart sense out of an episode that was way above what I was able to comprehend. You are so generous to take the time to provide all of this!

Diana, you are welcome. This episode was jam packed! Sort of looks like Arturo could have swindled JP’s father out of some land. Maybe JP found out and was going to go against him legally? Just a guess. Yes, Charo does seem to be very close to Vicente.She told somebody recently that he has always been like a son to her.It wouldn’t surprise me if he were her real son. Wouldn’t be the first time in a novela where social lines were crossed when sex was involved. Amanda continues to annoy me when she gets on her FUGITIVA harangue. I did have to laugh at the horoscope small talk with Ismael. It was such a realistic scene. Looking forward to tonight.

BTW, I got my accent marks working again on my computer What a relief! It is cold, but sunny. The zoo beckons. : )

Jarifa, I hadn't considered that Vincente might be Charo's! That would be a twist! I am also curious as to why she seemed to take such an interest in JP as well.

Yes, it does seem Arturo stole from JP's father. JP must have found out somehow. Could it be possible Arturo actually did the dirty deed himself? I like that even now, the murderer isn't obvious (well at least to me!!)

Diana, this one sure keeps us guessing! I am glad I decided to give it a chance. The zoo was lovely with Xmas decorations still up.

It's the best of the three airing right now but I do have some problems that it has too many subplots that are not really that relevant and just filler. The main storyline is interesting enough but sometimes it gets sidelined with the other subplots taking over.

JUANA
Too much focus on the corporate drama that's not really interesting.
The leads lack chemistry so it's hard to be invested with their love story, the love story I enjoy the most here is Salvador and Jenny, so cute and also quite sexy too!

EL PRECIO
This had promise as a lover for ranch novelas but again too many subplots overshadowing the main story. The tone of this show is quite dull as well, lacks the spice novelas of this kind are known for,

It is sad though that this will be the last novela at 10PM for now as Univision will do a true crime investigative show here like NBC's Dateline. There are some Mexican novelas I wish could air on Univision too but with one hour out of novelas, the chances they will air is slim now!
