(I posted this to page 1 late, so reposting here.)

Sadakat keeps getting more hateful. Her writers do a marvelous job along with her amazing skill at acting. Something besides Ecmel must have happened to her growing up. No tenderness there. She seems to care for her children but her love must feel like being loved by a rock. Hasan must know some of this. Is he younger than she?

I remember Halis early on when Alya first came. There were two guys (I think they were both lawyers) who wore tan suits. One was thin (Izzet) and the other stocky (Halis). I think both had beards. I wondered if tan suits was a uniform for lawyers. Did Izzet die? He brought Alya and Deniz from Canada and was a friend of Boran IIRC.

I believe Izzet was allowed to return to Toronto (after being kidnapped by Cihan and other adventures in southeast Turkiye).

"CASILLAS" ULTIMAS SEMANAS
I missed last night's episode. What happened because I missed it due to oversleeping.

Thank you Anastasia for the info about Izzet. I completely forgot about him! Then I wondered if he had been killed. But I usually remember things like that. So, going back to Toronto makes sense! Thanks again.

Things are heating up in Mardin. That was quite the heart pounding episode.

The awful Sadakat was Ozkan's witness. On that basis, Nare was denied the divorce. Sahin put a gun to Ozkan's head. Cihan tries to convince him to not kill him. There's a big brawl in the street. Nare moves away and seems, at least to me, to see the rest of her life in misery. She gets a gun, forget how, and shoots herself in the side.

We find out that she has liver damage. Kadir turns out to have B-negative blood type and, as he puts it, is healthy as a horse.

This time Sadakat has to face what she's done. She's in front of the Koran, praying for her daughter's life. Cihan comes in and tells her to pray to Allah to forgive her for causing the whole thing, IIRC. He gets her to say she won't stand int he way of Nare's divorce.

Halis contacts some guy about having a woman killed. Pretty sure his seeing that photo of Boran, Alya and Deniz led to Boran being killed in Toronto. Fiko is feeling very guilty because she believes that.

I remember learning at some point that livers regenerate. The donor obviously doesn't donate the whole liver. I suppose the piece put in the recipient grows, as does the donor's.

See how easy a bare bones account can be.

Thank you so much, novelera! I was glad Cihan held his mother accountable. She was just horrible. Now hopefully she sees her daughter would rather be dead than be married to Oskan.

In fact, Sadaket has caused almost allbof the conflict so far.

I was surprised they extracted bullet from Nare. I would think at that close range it would blow a hole in her back and land somewhere far away.

Good old Kadir! Love him!

"CASILLAS"
Howdy from the Alamo City CarayCaray Family. Due to the upcoming winter storm expected to hammer the Lone Star State, I will post my super-short recap of this evening's episode.

*Isabel gets drunk following her mother's (Enfreida) funeral.

*Psycho Rancho & Crazy Lucy fake Jaguar's shooting death. There's gotta be large Karma anvils for these expletives.

*Paco & Slippery Horacio getting into a fight over Hothead Diana LOL.

*We see two people covered up & tortured: Could it be Aurelio & Ritula ?

*Ismael & Co., plotting the next steps.

*More of Roberta & Ligia doing Roberta & Ligia things 😎

My thanks to Babachita and novelera for their very helpful recaps. I really fell behind this week. I still have to watch part of Thursday and all of Friday's show. I haven't even had time to check the originals for edits.

Please don’t let Demir start liking Zerrin. I didn't like that look he gave her when she went back to take care of him.

Sadakat disgusts me.

I'll try to get the Friday recap up as soon as possible.

lejos

We are always happy to see your recaps whenever you have the time to do them. I don't know how you do it. I know you're also recapping Kara Para Ask. I watched the first episode of that one and thought it was quite well done, but I just didn't have time to continue. Engin is always fantastic.

novelera,, i always love your recaps . The mini ones are succinct and well done . They capture all the important moments .
Well, the pot is boiling . It will be interesting to sed if we get any HEAs , and will the villains get interesting anvils?

#62 part 1

Slight rewind. Halis gives an order for a woman to be “eliminated”.

Alya continues questioning her mother about her prison visit. She doesn’t want her to go there anymore. Too many dangerous people. Fiko reminds her, I was in prison for 9 years. Do I look dangerous to you? Alya has no answer for that. She says, you slip away from the house without telling anyone, you are up to something.

What could I be up to, Fiko asks, what do you imagine? If I told you, would you let me go? A friend was transferred from where I served my sentence. I remembered and went to visit. What’s the big deal? You’re not going back there, Alya replies, you’re not leaving without my permission.

Kaya asks Sahin, why are you still here? (at the hospital). Why are you still here, Sahin asks in reply. I can’t leave, Kaya answers. Sahin says the same.

Fidan calls Sahin but he doesn't answer. Zerrin takes the phone from her. Your stupid brother isn’t answering, Fidan says, he will drive me crazy. He won’t leave her side. What do you expect, Zerrin tells her. Fidan says, sometimes I think it would be better if Nare died so she’d leave your brother alone. Zerrin shouts—stop talking like that!

Fidan immediately asks Allah to forgive her. She didn’t mean it. It just bothers her so much and puts her in a bad mood. You didn’t see it, she tells Zerrin. I went to the courthouse and when I got there, I saw him pointing a gun at her husband. Nare pointed a gun at herself. I almost died!

Nare saved him, you know, Zerrin replies. Are you serious, Fidan answers, I’m tired of wondering every day if this is the day my son will die. That he won’t return home. I’m tired of living with my heart in my mouth! Zerrin says, me too. Fidan wants to go to the hospital. Zerrin says she’ll go. Fidan asks, what will I tell your husband? Zerrin shouts, tell him I’ll take a taxi home.

Alya brings soup to Cihan. He asks, you made it for me? I made it for Deniz, she smiles. The other day I asked you how I could make you feel better and you said by making soup. So I made it. Cihan smiles. I call it trouble soup, she says. I poured myself a bowl and felt better. Try it. He jokes, there must be a sedative in it. He adds, to be honest, I did like it. Thank you. Bismillah… He takes a spoonful. She watches him. He smiles again, it’s very nice. Afiyet olsun, Alya replies. Cihan eats more.

Zerrin arrives at the hospital and finds Sahin sitting with Kaya. She barely glances at Kaya. She tells Sahin that Fidan has been calling him and she’s very worried. I understand how you feel, but you should get some sleep. I’m staying, Sahin answers, let the guys take you back. Zerrin and Kaya look at each other.

Demir comes to get Zerrin. Where is she? Fidan stutters...

Slight edit here. Cihan asks about Deniz. Alya says he’s sleeping now but he kept asking about Nare. And he keeps asking about the soccer match. He won’t forget. Cihan says he promised, so they will play the match. Let Nare get up first, he says sadly. It will be fine, Alya says. Cihan gives praise to Kadir. Alya agrees. It’s very admirable. How nice, she says, between you… there’s a bond beyond family. Very beautiful. Cihan acknowledges, öyle (it’s like this).

Cihan asks Alya, this operation is risky for both people, right? Alya hesitates, there is a risk with any operation, but let’s not think about that. We have to believe they will be fine. Kadir’s tests were good and Nare is strong. Don’t think about the bad stuff. They will be fine. Inshallah.

#62 part 2

Cihan says, I was thinking about a chance an organ could become incompatible after a transplant. Ayla notes that the liver is an organ that recovers quickly. I doubt Nare will have any problems. Don’t worry. She puts her hand on his shoulder. [he always seems stunned whenever she touches him.] They share a sweet smile, but they snap out of it fast.

How is you mother, Cihan asks. She’s better, Alya says, she was happy Nare found a donor. I forgot to ask, Cihan says, what happened after you followed her? It was as I thought, Alya fibs, she just wanted fresh air. We sat down together, that’s all. You were at the hospital when we got there, Cihan notes, I hope she is okay. She’s so-so, Alya answers, maybe it’s the meds. It’s normal. Cihan says he sees worry and fear in Alya’s eyes.

In the Turkish, Alya blames this on Nare’s condition. How am I supposed to be happy? You just finished telling me not to worry and all would be fine, Cihan says. Was that a lie? It wasn’t, she answers. Then what did I see in your eyes, he asks. Alya answers, aren’t you the one always saying it isn’t a good time to discuss these things? We’ll talk later. Let’s focus on tomorrow. We have to get up early, it’s going to be exhausting. She gets up and tells him to finish the soup. He thanks her, it was delicious.

Slight edit here: Pakize comes out to sit with Kadir. She just looks at him. Don’t look at me like that, he says, it’s not like this is my last day. What does that have to do with anything, she answers, you’ll outlive us all. It’s not because of that, she adds, I came to sit because I stood a lot inside today. Okay then, I’ll go, Kadir says. He gets up. She stops him. You’re having surgery tomorrow. You need to rest. They will blame me, so sit. He sits.

To be honest, I really admire you, Pakize says, you’re doing a very good thing. Not just anyone would do that. Kadir snarks, I did this just so you’d admire me. Don’t be stupid, she replies, can’t I say something nice to you? [a first.] He says he was just kidding. It gets a bit awkward. Kadir takes a breath…Pakize… today after court, Nare tried to kill herself. They are willing to die for each other. That’s how intense their love is. Pakize… are you still in love with Sahin?

She starts to answer but he interrupts. Listen, Sahin doesn’t care about you. She gets up. He stands in front of her—where are you going? I didn’t mean to be rude. I was just being honest. She admits, I don’t think about him anymore. She can hardly look Kadir in the eyes. He stares at her. He starts breathing heavily. She asks, what’s wrong with you? You’re shaking. She touches his forehead. Do you have a fever? You are turning red. He jokes his temp will surely rise now. She sends him off to sleep. [don’t know if he is sick or lovesick. He might have a chance with Pakize now.]

Zerrin brings something for Sahin and Kaya to eat. I think she got something for Kaya she knew he liked. Just as Kaya picks up the tost, Demir comes and smacks the tray out of Zerrin’s hands. We’re leaving, he growls and grabs her. Sahin has to hold Kaya back. He threatens to break Demir’s face if he doesn’t leave [without Zerrin of course.] Demir pulls Zerrin away. Kaya smacks a wall.

Demir questions Zerrin at home. What were you doing there? What kind of question is that, she replies, I’m his sister. I was there to support my brother. Demir asks, by bringing Kaya tea? Watch your words, she says, I went to see Sahin. He insists she went to see Kaya. What did you talk about? What did he tell you?

lejos
#62 part 3

Zerrin says it was nothing. They were there for hours and were hungry. All I did was bring them some food. What are you insinuating? I saw you getting close to him, Demir replies. Is that a bad thing, Zerrin asks, you didn’t like it? Isn’t that what you wanted? Wasn’t this part of Demir Baybars’ revenge? Didn’t you want him to beg you for what you have? Answer me!

Demir is in shock. Zerrin repeats, answer me. You should be happy. Why are you so nervous? Demir closes his eyes. She continues, what changed? Demir walks out of the room without a word. She locks the door.

Nadim is there and tells Demir to let Zerrin go. Zerrin listens by the door. Nadim says, don’t let her suffer the same fate as Seyda. Listen to me, son, I’m begging you. The only one who will get hurt and has anything to lose is you. Don’t you realize? Demir shouts—now you listen to me! You’re done meeting with that bastard Cihan. I don’t want you working with him! Nadim answers, so you’re not letting her leave? Demir barks—never! Not until I have my revenge.

Demir goes to his room. He’s distraught. He takes out a picture of Seyda. Seyda, my beloved Seyda. I’ll only love you. I’ll only love you. [I think he’s trying to convince himself.] He holds the photo to his heart.

Sada is praying out on the terrace. Allah, protect my daughter. Muzzafer comes running for Cihan. He bangs on the bedroom door. Alya! Are you there? Wake up! Cihan answers the door. It’s Kadir, he’s burning up with fever! [so he’s really sick.] Come now!

Kadir is in bed. Ummu and Pakize are applying wet towels with vinegar to his forehead. He has a fever of 103. Kadir won’t be able to donate his liver. He needs to go to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Nare has taken a turn for the worse. The doc says she needs surgery immediately. The family arrives at the hospital. They tell Sahin and Kaya that Kadir can’t be a donor. Now the race is on to find someone else. Sahin remembers his mother is the same blood type, B-. Kaya thinks Fidan won’t do it. Sahin says she will, and he leaves. We get a closeup on Sada. What is she thinking?

Edit: Zerrin and Fidan are about to have breakfast. Fidan is ticked that Sahin hasn’t come. She’s going to the hospital after they eat to get him. Zerrin says leave him alone. Nare is getting surgery today. She will go later. Sahin shows up. Fidan immediately rips into him for staying at the hospital. Ecmel isn’t happy about the situation either. Sahin bursts with anger—just listen to me!! Be quiet!! Fidan keeps yakking.

Finally, Sahin explains to Fidan, Kadir is sick and can’t donate. I’m not saying this because of Nare, she replies, but this is Allah’s punishment for them. Oh, come on, Sahin exclaims, Nare is dying as we speak! What can I do about it, Fidan asks. You can save her, Sahin replies, your blood type is compatible. She urgently needs a liver donor, mom. Please be her donor.

I can’t do that, Fidan says. Sahin begs. Fidan is firm. She explains, Sadakat wants my son to die, and yet she wants me to donate my liver to her daughter? Zerrin shouts, forget about that! Nare is dying! Fidan replies, you’re asking me to forget what they did to my son and husband? How is that Nare’s fault, Sahin shouts. You already destroyed me, Zerrin begs, don’t destroy Sahin, too. Fidan looks a bit conflicted. Her phone rings. It’s a call from prison.

Sahin grabs the phone and slams it on the table. Don’t answer it! Fidan says if your father found out, he would kill me. Sahin continues to plead for her to donate. She can’t. Ecmel would kill her.

#62 part 4

They stop fighting when Sada appears. What are you doing at my house, Fidan asks. Can we talk, Sada asks. What could we possibly talk about, Fidan replies, didn’t you say everything yesterday at the hospital? Sada lowers her head. Fidan continues, didn’t you say you wanted to shoot Sahin in the head? You threw us out, like a lion. Why aren’t you roaring now? You’re standing in front of me like a mouse caught in a trap. Sada looks pained and says, you’re right. I can’t say anything. But when it comes to children… nothing else matters. Fidan, today I bow my head to you.

Fidan says, you made me suffer a lot, Sadakat. My husband has been in prison for years. My children haven’t had a moment’s peace because of you. You are to blame. You have the right to hate me, Sada whimpers, but my daughter is innocent. As innocent as an angel. I’m begging you to help. Allah aşkına, bana yardım edin. I came here... to beg you.

Sada lowers herself and grovels at Fidan’s feet! Fidan, please help her. I came to beg at your feet. Allah aşkına, Fidan... Sada kisses Fidan’s hand. For the love of Allah, save my daughter. My daughter is dying. Sada sobs. Help me, Fidan.

Fidan looks like she might give in, but she suddenly pulls away from Sada. Sada wails. Fidan says she will not donate her liver. Sahin pleads with his mom—don’t do this. Sada says, you have a daughter, too. My daughter is dying. Please help. I don’t care, Fidan coldly states, I will not help you. Forget it. Sahin begs his mother.

Cihan and Kaya arrive. Cihan calls his mother to leave. Sada reverts to the Sada we know and despise. From now on, she hisses, don’t look for your tormentor in hell, Fidan. I’m standing before you. She pounds her chest. I’m here! I’m here! Cihan holds out his hand again, let’s go mom. Sada starts walking away.

Sahin rushes to his mother. He grabs her and shakes her. I swear I will kill myself! You’re going to save that woman! We are running out of time!
Muzzafer arrives with good news. They found another donor. Nare is in surgery. Everyone hurries off, leaving Fidan to worry alone.

At the hospital, Cihan asks Alya, who is the donor? Ozkan. That’s a shock. God bless him, Sada says, what he did is incredible. There’s relief but I guess there’s a potential non-medical problem with Ozkan being the donor. Alya says the surgery will take a long time. Zerrin tells Sahin, Nare’s going to live. She will make it. Sahin doesn’t look thrilled as thrilled as I thought he would.

Fiko goes out and a guard says he’ll get a driver for her. No need, she replies and gets in her car. There’s a man in a car nearby who drives after her.

Everyone is in the hospital cafe. Sahin and Zerrin are across the way at a separate table. Sada recounts, I begged that woman. I even knelt at her feet. I kissed her hands and feet and begged her to save Nare. I’ve told Ozkan a lot of things, but in the end, he saved my daughter’s life. So there’s a reason they didn’t get divorced. Kaya thinks that’s ridiculous. If Nare had gotten divorced, none of this would have happened.

Cihan steps in—now is not the time. We’ll talk about that later. You were there son, Sada says, you heard everything. That woman wouldn’t lift a finger. She wasn’t going to donate her liver. I can’t believe how evil Fidan’s has become. [Pot. Kettle. Black.] Can you imagine my daughter as her DIL? Kaya replies, what fault do Sahin and Zerrin have? Sahin almost shot himself in the head. What more do you want? Cihan asks them to keep the volume down.

lejos
#62 part 5

Sada says there was a reason she didn’t want Sahin and Nare together. Look at what’s happened. That woman wanted my daughter to die. Is that who you want for your sister? Kaya turns the tables. Look who’s talking mother, you shot your own DIL (Alya) Kaya continues, she’s your DIL. That’s enough, Cihan says, both of you shut up. Nare is fighting for her life, and you argue about nonsense. Alya and Cihan leave to get something to drink.

Cihan is steamed. I would have flipped that table if I stayed there. Nothing turned out as expected, Alya says, we’re all nervous. Let’s hope that everything turns out okay. At the counter Cihan asks Alya, coffee? I’d like tea, Alya says. Tea? Yes. He orders 2 teas. Cihan teases, you’re well on the way to being the Hanım ağa, a tough lady. Really? Yes. She jokes back, in that case, get me a tesbih for my next birthday. I’ll use it. A tesbih? Sure, but don’t use it in front of my mother. It upsets her. All the more reason, she snarks.

Alya doesn’t let Cihan pay. She wants to put it on her tab. Mine shows up at the cafe and sees ChiAl.

Cihan is feeling better. He says the tea helped. We should do this more often. Let’s have coffee one day, too, Alya replies. Okay, Cihan says, I’ll treat you to mirra. Have you ever tried it? Mirra? What’s that? It’s ten times bitter than espresso. Then I’ll probably like it, she says.

Mine walks over to them. Hello. Yes, Cihan asks, arms folded. Mine is glad they found a donor and wishes Nare a quick recovery. She comments, her husband turned out to be a good man. At least there are still people who think of others. Cihan tells her to leave. Fine, Mine replies, but these encounters are inevitable. After all, I work here. Unless I’m fired, Cihan. Not today, Alya warns her, this isn’t the time. It’s been a hard day. I didn’t ask you, Mine says to Alya. Cihan cautions, if you don’t go, I will have you fired.

Mine walks away and she falters. Alya helps her. Mine says her BP drops when she’s stressed. She can walk on her own. Cihan notes that’s happened before. Cihan complains all he wanted was a few minutes of peace.

The man who followed Fiko tries to run her off the road. She tries to maneuver away but he cuts her off. She stops short and hits her head on the steering wheel. She’s knocked out. The guy gets out of his car and checks Fiko. I guess she’s still alive. He shifts the gear in her car and pushes it towards a cliff.

A car comes from the opposite direction. The hitman makes a quick getaway and leaves Fiko’s car slowly moving towards the drop. It’s Hasan in the other car. He saves the car from going over the cliff. He’s surprised it’s Fiko. Fikriye Hanım? He tries to wake her. She opens her eyes and an ambulance takes her to the hospital.

A doctor tells Fiko she’ll be fine. Hasan is there with her. Alya and Cihan enter the room. The doc tells Alya Fiko will stay under observation and go home tonight. Cihan asks Hasan what happened. He explains what he saw and what he did.

#62 part 6

Sada walks into the room and hears this. She questions her brother, what were you doing there, Hasan? I was just driving, he replies. Sada gives a low key get well to Fiko. That’s a bit of a surprise. Fiko thanks her. Sada tells Hasan, let’s go.

Hasan gives get well wishes to Fiko. [oh boy, I think he likes her.] She thanks him, you saved my life. Sada is giving them a bit of side eye. Don’t mention it, Hasan replies. Besides, I’m not a stranger. I’m Sadakat’s brother. My name is Hasan. Sada tries to get her bro to leave. Fiko says, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Hasan Bey. Cihan asks Hasan, uncle are you staying or leaving? Hasan walks out. Sada shoots Fiko a look before going.

Ayla is upset that Fiko had this accident. Fiko lies and says, I lost control, I must have panicked. I don’t remember. Cihan says next time tell us and someone will take you.

Fiko asks about Nare. She’s still in surgery. Cihan leaves to give Alya and Fiko time alone. Alya doesn’t believe Fiko’s accident story. She was always good driver and doesn’t panic. What happened? Fiko snarks, I wasn’t drunk, smell my breath. Don’t be ridiculous, Alya answers, it’s a serious question. Fiko is fed up with the questioning. Call the nurse, she asks, so I can take my meds and get out of here.

Fiko feels hot and Alya helps her out of her coat. The family pic falls out of the pocket. Fiko reminds her Alya sent her that photo. You wouldn’t talk to me even though I begged you to and wrote to you many times. When I asked for a photo of my grandson, you sent this. Did you forget?

Alya says she remembers. Then she asks, did anyone else see this photo? Will Fiko tell?

And we are out.

lejos

Thanks so much, dondi! As I said before, I don't know how you manage wonderful recaps of two dizis. Is KPA over? Maybe someday I'll get around to it.

I didn't quite understand "Nare saved him." This was what you wrote that Zerrin said. Was it that he'd have gone to prison for shooting Ozkan and Nare saved him from that by shooting herself?

Yes, I'm having high hopes for Kadir and Pakize. I love the guy. He's all heart, except when he needs to be all muscle.

Demir is such twisted person. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It isn't Cihan's fault he lost Seyda. IIRC it was Demir's uncle, a Baybars, who killed Cihan's father. Apparently, in this culture, a marriage between a couple of younger people wards off a blood feud. It does look like he's starting to feel something for Zerrin. Please, writers, don't have him begin to force himself on her.

Also, why is Zerrin with Fidan having breakfast when we last saw her at Casa Baybars, locking the door to keep Demir out?

Sadakat's reform didn't last long. I'm worried she'll now insist Nare stay with the heroic Ozkan. But she swore on the Koran to not impede Nare's divorce. I can't imagine how they'll sort that out.

Tesbih? I enjoyed Alya making Cihan smile for choosing tea over her usual, as she puts it herself, bitter, black coffee. But my Reverso dictionary says that word means simile.

I also noticed Hasan with a twinkle in his eye about Fiko.

lejos

I noticed the same twinkle in Hasan, Novelera. I wondered if he knew her earlier. He and Halis were buddies, IIRC. So, who knows!

Fiko has become one of my favorites! She definitely comes out on top when contrasted with Sadakat.

Thank you Dondi and all for great summaries and comments!

They say it’s winding up. I hope we might get season 2 someday. I like this tale very much.

Babachita

Lrjos

Google says tesbih are the Muslim prayer beads. We have seen Sadakat and Fidan, in particular, use them. (And I have seen them used for prayer in real life, but didn't have a name for them.)

lejos

Thanks, everyone. I want to note that Babachita has been doing double duty, too. She’s recapping KPA and doing a fantastic job. KPA is a great dizi, I recommend it.

I have some edits and comments that I didn’t include in the recap.

Muzzafer calls Ummu with an update from the hospital. He’s in Kadir’s room. He tells her everything is fine. Kadir shouts out that he’s fine, too. Muzzafer continues, when I heard they found a liver for Nare Hanım, I even felt better. Kadir shouts again—they found, they found! Ummu replies, thank God! I’ll wait for more good news about Nare Hanım and take good care of my Kadir. Bye. Ummu turns to Pakize, oh Allah, if Nare Hanım and Kadir walk through that door safe and sound, all my troubles will be over. Amen, amen, Pakize replies.

Fiko walks past Ummu and Pakize, who are working outside. They greet her. Ummu tells her a donor was found. Fiko asks, who was it? Her husband, Ummu says. Thank God, Fiko replies, what can I say? That’s life. You never know when or where it will hit you. Ummu agrees.

Ummu says, it’s not my place, sorry, but if you don’t mind me asking, where are you going? I’m going for a drink, Fiko answers, you come. Ummu answers, tövbe, and she giggles. Fiko says she’s going for treatment. Ummu says, we wish you a speedy recovery, Fikriye Hanım. Honestly, we pray for you every day. Why do you tire yourself? Let the men take you.

Fiko replies, no let them take you. Get some fresh air. I haven’t seen you leave this konak. Pakize says that’s so true. Ummu answers, we are fine like this, really. Fiko says, we hope for good news. Once our dear one gets better, I’ll take my asphalt beetle, and we will go for a ride. We’ll make the rounds. She taps Ummu on the arm, says have a good day and leaves.

Ummu tells Pakize, I can’t tell if this woman is good or bad, but she hurts inside. Pakize says she can’t tell either, but it could be a sign of what’s going on. Ummu thinks it might be because of her illness. Illness changes a person. Could be. End edit.

This convo took place before Fiko went out and the guy ran her off the road. This isn’t the first time Fiko spoke with Ummu. In another edited convo in an earlier episode, she invited Ummu out for a drink, saying she should get out and enjoy herself and not work all the time. Ummu told her Muzzafer would never permit that.

There was an edit after Hasan saved Fiko. He rode in the ambulance with her and comforted her. He held her hand when she was in pain. He was very sweet. We are seeing another side of him. As far as I can tell, they haven’t addressed Hasan’s personal situation. But it seems he’s unmarried. Apparently, Sadakat has not allowed her brother to have a family of his own. She wants to keep him as her lapdog.

Thanks for the tesbih explanation, Anastasia. In dizis, we usually see older, traditional men carrying them and those who hold a high standing like the ağas in Lejos. Less often we see women using them. It’s also an accessory for mafiosi and macho types. It’s interesting that Cihan does not carry one, but he had one when he waited for word on Nare in the hospital. He was probably praying.

We are on Turkish ep 23 out of 27 in the first season. I think they are up to episode 47 in Türkiye. The ratings are still high so it’s possible they might have a third season. If Telemundo signals this will be continued, I will wait. But if they give this a wrap, I will probably continue watching in Turkish if I find time.

I hope those in the path of this tremendous storm stay safe.

I really enjoyed this recap, Dondi! All the comments too. Boy, this show is never dull.

I so much hope they show us season 2! It seems that instead of anything resolving, things are getting more complex, plus Alya’s mom has been added. I bet the season will end with a lot of cliffhangers. Then we’ll have to wait and hope.
