Mundo de Fieras, Wed. Jan. 10, - the 10 commandments for deceived women are handed down

As MA struggles to comprehend Joselyn’s test results, Josleyn lays it on thick. MA was only a toy for Gabriel and that he deceived her and that Joselyn is better than MA. MA asks her to leave and she does with a nasty little wink.

Leo is driving his taxi and having a flashback to Elsa telling him about being raped. Then he starts driving like a lunatic and crashes his car. With his face covered with blood and grasping his dashboard crucifix, Leo tries to get out of car but collapses half in and half out of the car.

Paulina tells Regina that the gynecologist has told her that she can get pregnant again. Regina is pleased and tells Paulina that she has to be patient. Paulina says that she is afraid that if she doesn’t get preggers soon, JC will leave her for another woman. Regina says her son wouldn’t leave the love of his life because of that. She asks where is the valiant Paulina who fought for her love. Paulina says that that part of her died the day she lost her baby.

Silvestre tells Candelaria that Leo had an accident and is in bad shape. She is impactada.

MA recalls Gabriel’s words of love and then asks him over and over why he betrayed her.

Soraya tells Otilia that Diana is having a good time on her trip and Pedro is very attentive. Otilia asks when they will be back. Soraya says that they will be back in time for the march of women who have been cheated on. Then Otilia reads to Soraya the 10 fundamental statutes of the club of deceived women:

1. Love your fellow man but first and foremost love yourself;
2. Don’t blame yourself for nothing “no te culparas en vano”;
3. Have a good time at all parties;
4. Don’t be a jailer for your children and don’t make your sons into macho pigs;
5. Don’t lie; be faithful to your ideas and your passions;
6. Don’t kill. You want to love and be loved;
7. Don’t have sex with people you don’t like. Only do it if you want to.
8. Don’t ever let anyone treat you badly;
9. Don’t covet your friend’s man; and
10. Don’t complain about your life; enjoy every minute of it.
Epilogue: Love your man but don’t trust him. Men are all the same – they are the worst.

[I have to say that Otilia is the most amusing character on this novela.]

Candelaria comes into the emergency room and asks about Leo. The doctor says that he lost a lot of blood but he has a rare blood type and they need an emergency donation. [We can guess who that is going to be, can’t we.]

JC tells Tiberio that he can’t understand why there are problems with the construction of the houses. Tiberio says people are making complaints and at that moment two official guys come in and say that JC has to come to the ‘delegacion’ with them. He is impactado.

Candelaria comes to beg Miriam to give Leo a blood transfusion and save him. [How Candelaria knows that they have the same blood type, I don’t know.] Miriam says that now she will demonstrate that she is a bad mother. She doesn’t care if Leo lives or dies. He is nothing to her. She will not go to the hospital with Candelaria. Candelaria gets on her knees and begs. Miriam tells her to get out. Candelaria says that Leo will die because of her pride, egoism and cruelty. Miriam says that Candelaria can shout insults at her all day. If Leo dies, it is Candelaria’s fault for taking in babies that she found in churches. Candelaria is Leo’s mother and his situation is her problem. Candelaria keeps on begging, which just seems to make Miriam madder and she finally throws Candelaria out.

Back with the comatose, MA has more memories of their love making and asks the same questions about why he betrayed her.

JC calls Demian and say that he has been arrested because walls fell down at the construction site. Demian is impactado.

Regina asks Paulina if she feels better after their talk. She says yes, a little but her sadness won’t go away. There is also the situation of her father, Gabriel. She feels alone. Regina says that she is surrounded by people who care for her. Then we have basically the same conversation between Paulina and Regina that the had before. Paulina must be strong; JC loves her, etc. etc. Paulina doesn’t appear to be convinced.

Tiberio is enjoying the fact that he has gotten JC in trouble when Demian comes in. Tiberio claims that he knows nothing about what happened to JC. Demian leaves to go to the police station and tells Tiberio not to tell Regina what happened and to stay at his desk to take phone calls.

Back at the hospital, the taxi drivers are keeping vigil. Silvestre tells Candelaria that Leo’s situation is the same. He needs an operation but he has lost so much blood they can’t risk it without a transfusion.

Karen, who is in Paris, calls Miriam to say that she coming home to Mexico very soon. When Karen asks where Joselyn is, Miriam says that she doesn’t know and makes some unflattering remarks about Joselyn’s behavior. Karen tells her grandmother not to criticize her daughter, ‘mothers should support their children in all things.’ After the call, Miriam flashes back to Candelaria’s entreaties for Leo.

Candelaria is praying for Leo in the hospital chapel.

At the police station, Demian is trying to make the construction problem ‘go away’ by greasing the palm of the inspector but he isn’t having any.

Candelaria is telling one of the cabbies that to save Leo, they need a miracle and what do you know, in walks Miriam. Candelaria is all over her weeping with gratitude.

Regina comes into Gabriel’s hospital room and MA says that she is glad that someone will stay with Gabriel. She isn’t coming back. Regina is puzzled but MA does not tell her what is going on.

At the police station, Nicolas tells Demian that he does not understand how this has happened. The company never purchased substandard materials. Demian says that he doesn’t know what happened either. Nicolas says they have to investigate and find out who actually bought the bad stuff. Demian says that he will investigate but the first thing is to get JC out of jail. Nicolas says it won’t be that easy; the victim is insisting that JC pay the penalty for what happened. Demian says that he will pay any amount of money to spring JC but Nicolas says that it is not a matter of money, but justice. ‘Whatever,’ says Demian, ‘I just want it to happen right away. I don’t want Regina to find out that JC is in jail.’ Nicolas says that may not be possible. JC may have to spend some time in jail. ‘How long?’ asks Demian. Nicolas says that he doesn’t know but JC isn’t getting out of jail until his innocence is shown.

At the hospital, the doctor thanks Miriam for donating blood for Leo. She asks to see him. The doctor hesitates but then takes her to his room. Looking at the unconscious Leo, Miriam tells herself that once again she has given him life and has no idea why. She has no feelings but there is something in him that moves her. Why? Why does he have the power to move her to wake up her maternal instincts, blah blah blah. She doesn’t want to take over Candelaria’s place as Leo’s mother so things will just continue as they are. She kisses Leo and leaves.

Regina tells Dolores about MA’s strange behavior with Gabriel. They neither of them understand it. MA has gone to her parents’ grave and once again talks about how she believed Gabriel was a good guy and now he has betrayed her, etc. etc.

Joselyn is waiting for Miriam in the office of their fashion house. Joselyn wants to tell Miriam about her encounter with MA in Gabriel’s hospital room but Miriam isn’t interested. Joselyn says that she isn’t holding a grudge because Miriam sold her jewelry. Once again, Miriam isn’t interested. She asks Joselyn to leave. She says that she is having a hard time dealing with her feelings. She doesn’t like it. It makes her feel weak and she is eager for it to pass. Joselyn doesn’t understand and Miriam says that it doesn’t matter.

Back at the hospital, Elsa and the taxi drivers are in the waiting room while Leo is in surgery. They are surprised that Miriam was willing to donate blood for Leo while Candelaria tells herself that they wouldn’t be surprised if they knew Miriam was Leo’s mother.

Rogelio tells Tiberio that it was he who purchased the substandard materials at Demian’s orders. Tiberio tells him to relax. No one is accusing him – yet. Rogelio says that he isn’t going to be a scapegoat for this mess. If he is accused, Tiberio and Demian will go down too.

Back in Gabriel’s hospital room, Joselyn tells Regina and Dolores about her pregnancy. Wild beast growling is heard in the background.

MA is packing up to leave. She can’t face seeing Joselyn’s triumphant face every day. She will go somewhere far away with David. She has another reason too. Her baby. It is hers, only hers.

Miriam calls the hospital about Leo. The nurse says that he is being operated on and gives the phone to Candelaria. Miriam says that she didn’t want to talk to her but Candelaria goes on to thank her profusely for what she did, etc. etc.

MA tells Luisito that she is leaving the mansion. He doesn’t understand. ‘Does this mean you aren’t going to marry my papa?’ he asks. MA says that someday he will understand everything. She will continue to see him.

Regina and Dolores don’t believe Joselyn at first but she shows them her papers that say that the baby is Gabriel’s. [I don’t believe you can do a paternity test this early in a pregnancy but hey, this is a novela.] Regina and Dolores are impactada. They suggest that the proof has been forged but Josleyn just smirks and pushes past them.

MA goes to the hospital where Leo is. Candelaria tells her that the doctor has told them that Leo is out of danger. MA tells Candelaria that she has returned to the neighborhood and Candelaria asks why.

Josleyn once again is in Gabriel’s hospital room and says one again that she will never allow anyone to take Gabriel away from her and that he will be hers forever whether he likes it or not.

Heridas de Amor - Wed January 10 Guapo's Back!

Marisol warns Lilliana to be careful before she goes looking for the father of Sophia. It might turn out that Lilliana has to maintain him. Lilliana jokingly asks Marisol what she is going to with her. Lilliana informs Marisol about her plans to talk to Miranda.

Luciano advises a businessman Paolo by phone to not fall in love with Miranda, she is married to Alejandro. He also tells Paolo that the business will return to normal soon with AL at the helm. Vicente enters the office to tell Luciano that they have a problem; they were not the only ones who accused Cesar of fraud and abuse of confidence, Cesar’s business partners have also reported him. There is also arrest warrant out against Julio. Luciano is concerned. Vicente tells Luciano not to call Julio, so not to shock him, but instead warn Fab.

Pamela and Miranda discuss Bertha. Fab comes in agreeing that Bertha is despicable. He asks Miranda to go with him and the baby to Puerto Vallarta for the 1st part of his project. He wants her to go there and then on the London with him the week after next. She agrees to go but insists on taking Charo. Luciano calls in on Miranda's cell. He is looking for Fab. Fab gets on the phone and learns about the warrant for Julio. He is mad at Cesar.

Al enters his office. Luciano informs him that Paolo Rossi is interested in Miranda. He calls Miranda. She answers immediately drawing her guns asking if he is still with his girlfriend. Al tries to explain but Miranda isn’t buying it. He tells her she is right, he doesn't have arguments for what happened. He wants to see her. She tells him she is busy and to call later for a time. They hang up. AL talks to himself about finding a way to get back in her good graces so she will forgive him.

Cesar arrives at his apartment calling for Bertha and Lucas. They are not there. He pours himself some cognac and talks out loud that wants them to return at least so he can say goodbye to Bertha.

Fernanda comforts Julio who is rubbing his chest, sitting on the couch in the living room of the Mexico City mansion. She has ordered a pacemaker for him and it should be in tomorrow. Fab runs into the room to share the bad news that there is an arrest warrant out for Julio. When Julio hears that the order is out in his name his eyes widen and he falls back on the couch. The others all hover over him.

A week later Fernanda runs over the details about Julio with Pamela and Luciano. She thinks that Julio needs a transplant; he has been between life and death for the past week. Rebecca is strong Fern states but she worries Rebecca will get sick from worry. They start to discuss Fab and how well he has been doing as a “NEW” man. Pamela takes the opportunity to tell Fern that AL and Miranda haven’t seen or spoken to each other in a week. Pamela is worried about how strange Fab is looking at Miranda. She tells Fern about how Fab said he wanted to re-conquer Miranda at the Chocolate Party. Pamela tells Fern that last night Miranda told her that Miranda has everything in order and she doesn't think she will return from her trip. She is going to Puerto Vallarta with Fab and then later on to Europe. Pamela thinks Miranda is going to give Fab a second chance. Fern is impactada. Luciano is more impactado.

Amparo brings Renata a baby gift she made. Renata freezes seeing the gift and Amparo starts in on memories on what happened with Renata’s wedding dress. Renata tells her it’s not that, the gift is wonderful, it’s just that she is not sure if the baby is Juans or ….? Amparo comforts Renata with the story of how her nephews aren’t her kids but are just like her own. It’s more important to raise children than to conceive them. Renata is touched. They hug.

Fern calls Miranda and leaves a message urging Miranda not to leave with Fab. Pamela and Luciano stand and watch as she does. Pamela tells Fern that maybe Miranda should give a second chance to Fab, they were together since they were kids. Fern objects to that idea and argues besides Miranda is pregnant with Alejandros child. Luciano freaks on this revelation. Luciano tells the women that Alejandro immediately needs to know about the pregnancy. Luciano questions Pamela on why she didn’t tell him. Pamela answers that Miranda didn’t want Al to know and has asked everyone to not say anything. Luciano has his arms crossed, he is plenty pissed. He tells her that he is her husband, how could she hide something this important from him. Plus when Al finds out he is going to think that Luciano has also been hiding this information from him. Pamela weakly argues that Miranda is like her sister and and and. Before leaving the room, Luciano tells Pam that when Al returns he has to find out. Fern apologizes to Pamela for spilling the beans. Pamela goes to talk with Luciano.

Renata talks to herself in the mirror just like the crazy girl Veronica/Vera from Barrera de Amor. She wants her alter self to pay attention to what Amparo said. Renata wants her other self to understand that after today SHE is going to be in charge of her responsibilities. She is never going to see alter self again. She is going to live honestly and with clarity of her emotions. Juan comes in the room bearing gifts for the baby. Renata is excited to see him and they kiss. Veronica, from this telenovela, enters and they all look at the gifts together.

Luciano stands in the garden pouting. He stomps his foot when Pam approaches saying that he is disconcerted. He never knew there were these types of secrets between them! Pamela does her best to explain. Luciano looks off with a wrinkled forehead. He argues that Miranda can have a thousand arguments on why not to tell Alejandro, it doesn't matter she should have told him. Vicente walks up telling them they need to have a family meeting immediately. Cesar has just called him.

Fern is in the living room talking over Amparo’s life with Francisco and Amparo. Francisco wants her to live her life and he his. They laugh over the silly discussion. Pamela, Vicente and Luciano enter with the news that they need to have a family meeting.

Renata gets off the phone with Miranda. She tells Pamela that Miranda is furious with the news that Luciano knows about Mirandas pregnancy. Renata tells Pam that there is going to be a super fight when Miranda arrives. Pamela tells her not to worry, it was just an indiscretion of her mother, not she Pam who spilled the beans. Meanwhile Juan and Veronica talk over Sansons symptoms and how it is going for Sanson. Veronica wants to see Sanson.

Everyone is centered in the living room talking about Cesar. Juan has the floor, and argues that Cesar won’t kill anyone. Cesar is sick in the head but he is not a murderer. Cesar wants to make everyone afraid. Vicente wants everyone to be careful and to watch the main door of the house; make sure it is locked. Pamela agrees with Juan about how awful life is when you are worried someone is following you. Renata pipes up that this all sounds fine but let’s wait to hear what Miranda has to say.

Bertha gives Lucas little blue pills hidden in pieces of a hot dog. She talks to him as he happily eats up the treats. She tells him that she has no one else but him. They need to continue being free, like him. She cries as she continues. She calls the dog her son and that no one has been loyal to her like he has. No one is going to love the dog like her. Forgive her, he has to go with her, to be free. This is only going to hurt a little Lucas. She cries some more as she watches, but we don’t get to see thank gosh, as Lucas falls prey to the pills. She leans back on the Cesar’s couch as her cries settle down. She pours out the remaining pills into her hand. She looks at them but is interrupted by a sound of breaking glass. She gasps You! You!

We come back from the commercial break to see a boat being pushed down a river. It appears to be the Xochimilco Gardens and a typical boat that floats there. We see a man in black, a man pushing the boat with a large stick and someone sitting down. We see the boat tour through the area going somewhere but where?

Lucinao agrees to Miranda that he will not tell Al about the pregnancy. He warns Miranda that Alejandro won’t pardon her for this ever. Miranda, always argumentative, is not bothered by his comment and asks for what does she need Al’s pardon for anyway? Huh?! Huh?! Miranda goes on to say Alejandro doenst want to have children so why do I need his forgiveness? From behind we see Lilliana enter the mansion. She asks to speak to Miranda. The women stare at each other.

Francisco, Amparo and Roman talk over wine in a restaurant. I have to admit I did'nt pay much attention to this scene. Roman at one point calls Francisco his brother in law, cuñado. They laugh together, blah blah blah.

We see that it is Guapo who is dressed in black and Bertha is his hostage. She is the one sitting down with her hands tied and she is oddly still. At times we see Guapo holding a knife to her throat. The boat meanders down its path. This feels like a tourist video but the scenes turn from the river to a canal where the land on either side is decorated with baby dolls pinned and hung in the trees. It is the Island of Dolls (Isla de las Munecas). Eerie music plays. Baby dolls are everywhere; hung to trees, tied to tree trunks, or with their heads on stakes. The boats slams up into the land. The boat is named Bertha. Boats at the Xochimil Gardens are typically named after their owners wives, lovers or female loved ones. Guapo tells Bertha to quickly get off the boat. She is welcomed to his house. He tells her this is now her house Senora. This is what she deserves. He continues telling her, Darling this is how you will finish your days. We see him take his bad hand and hit it and stretch it out at the same time. The hand and arm work! He grabs her by the throat to kiss on her. Bertha looks horrified. Flash to scenes of more dolls in the trees and dolls heads on sticks.

La Fea Más Bella #185 1/10/07 Fer gets whooped and, makes nice nice with Marcia, Aldo's past haunts then goes, & he and Lety spend the night together!!!!

And your recapper enjoys her first with the clarity of captions. Ahhhhhh....

We open with Marcia getting the bar address and running down the people mover at the airport to get to Fernando’s rescue at the bar.

At La Fuga bar (The Flight – as in escape – I figure it’s a play on Fern’s rush from Mexico City.) our famous guest actor bar man, Leonardo, uh Librado, uh, Liberetto uh Libardo helps pick up Fernando AGAIN. Fer keeps saying he’s sorry. The barman tells him to stop already. As he staggers around trying to get a balance and still swinging randomly in front of the guys, the lady in red begs her friends to leave the poor thing alone. Fer’s so distraught and drunkenly arrogant that no one is off limits. He starts in on her now too. He tells her boyfriend how beautiful this girlfriend is that she has compassion for him (Fer) and that he doesn’t deserve it, nor does the boyfriend even deserve it, he continues towards her with his arms open asking if she would like to console him. She’s not that shy though, and she asks him why he said that to her boyfriend and then he dared to punch him too. She calls him desgaciado as she too smacks him across the face! He starts to push her and she pulls away.

Uh oh. That really does it. He earns the group soccer practice exercise. He’s the ball. Ouch. Ouch Ouch Ouch as all five Luchadores kick him repeatedly! He says it doesn’t hurt a few times, then at the end, he agrees it hurts now.

Julieta and Moty continue from the diary. I’d really love to see more of Moty. “It’s not worth bringing up again because this is the same story that has repeated since I was born. Is to be ugly to be so fragile? Is that why I fall for the first one that gets near me, even though I know he’s engaged, and that I know very clearly that I’m doing the wrong thing?"

They carry Fer out to the entrance again. Why don’t they put him outside already! If I were the bar owner I wouldn’t want a drunk laying in my entryway; that can’t be good for respectable business, you know! Fer remarks that he doesn’t like this spot where they have put him. Our guest bartender of the day comes out and says they shouldn’t be inhuman and that they should probably call a paramedic. He remarks that a woman called and she is coming to get him. The bouncer remarks "Don’t worry this poor guy isn’t going to get up, not unless they bring a crane!" Libardo tells the doorman to take the cell to give to the Senora.

At dinner, Aldo’s papa talks about how the construction business depends on the economy of the country. Aldo interrupts, but you yourself have been fine, no? Papa continues well yes, in the last few years his business helped construct two hydroelectric plants, 3 freeways and the airport for an intermediate size city. Lety makes faces from across the table for Aldo to keep up appearances with a smile. Papa sort of catches her and she kind of fakes like it’s hot or the food is spicy or something. Aldo eventually can’t ignore her and he starts laughing. Papa -Why are you laughing when I’m telling you about business deals? A-It’s just that my friend Leticia would like to say something to you but I don’t understand what it is. Lety what would you like to tell my father? Oooh, he put her on the spot to cover his butt, sneaky.

Lety struggles but then has to shout “if both of you are sure you want me to say something.” “You two have had a problem for many years and you haven’t seen each other and now you are meeting as if nothing happened? Sorry, but I don’t understand.” The men look at each other sort of impactados.

Fer does manage to get up again and tries to offer the doorman a tip to let him in again, but he won’t have it this time, even for a tip, so Fer pretends that he wants to hug him and apologize, that he needs some affection, but while he’s doing this and calling him his brother, he knees the guy right in the nuts! That smarts! He exclaims that nobody prohibits him from anything and he walks, well, staggers back into the bar. Now that was a class A A-hole move.

Back at dinner Papa confesses to Lety it’s always been very difficult for him to talk about his feelings and emotions. Aldo says that’s why he just wants to forget it all and leave things behind them. Aldo says the only important thing is that we are together again. Lety apologizes for saying something so imprudent. Papa says, “ No on the contrary after you left that message, I told myself that thanks to you I got back in touch with my son. Thank you. A-Papa – Pa – No, let me speak because I have much to say: With the passing of the years, and the loss of your mother, and as I get older I realized that I was too uncompromising with you. A –Well, and I was stubborn because I wanted to be a chef. Papa it’s just that I want you to understand that I was only defending my ideals. Papa- Of course, I understand your ideals. I missed you very much. Every night I wanted to look for you but I didn’t dare. Aldo agrees they have the same pride. Pa -Did you get want you wanted? Are you a great chef? A- I don’t know if I’m such a great chef but what’s important is that I’m doing what I love, living as I want. I swear I’m truly happy, Pa. Tears by both. Awe…..

Fer goes back into the bar and all the patrons are impactados that he came back and start screaming at him. Librado pleads and begs him to leave saying they will kill him. Fer gives him a hug and mumbles that his life isn’t worth anything. Fer then collapses on their table and knocks over the drinks. Our red dress lady screams.

Back at dinner Aldo and his Papa argue over the check and Aldo tells him to please let him pay for the first time; that it would be a great honor to pay the check for his Dad, so the Dad agrees. Lety says that Aldo is a great chef with a beautiful house and an incredible motorcycle, he’s writing a book and he wants to open a chain of restaurants. This pleases papa. Aldo says papa will think he brought her here to spread propaganda. Lety assures him she’s not lying and she could keep going on. Aldo tells his Dad that next time he can come to visit. Don Fausto tells him how happy it has made him to see Aldo again. Aldo agrees. Papa apologizes for having to leave but the helicopter is waiting for him, he has to go to Monterrey in the morning to supervise a building site.

Leti! Papa says what a real pleasure it was to meet her. She too. He really cares about both of them. Pa – I’m so overcome with emotion that I almost forgot, two years ago this letter arrived at my house. Because we were distanced from each other, I saved it. He gives it to Aldo. Turns out it’s a letter from Esther Barhona. Lety asks who that is?

Back at the bar, Fer is passed out on the table. The lady in red asks if he wants them to take him someplace in particular. Her boyfriend searches him and pulls out his wallet. The girl reads aloud that he is the President of Conceptos? He arouses and yes EX, EX. The girl says now you aren’t president? He says no, just put me here, leave me here please.

Marcia runs in screaming his name and asking what they did to him. She asks what happened to him. Barman says he came in acting as if he wanted someone to kill him. The guy says Fer was an aggressive drunk and he kept attacking us, and really we did nothing. They say he’s an aggressive guy and he should be locked up. M quiets him and they get up to go. Fer yells after the luchadores as they leave, “You are going now? It was a pleasure to meet you.” He finally get the barman’s name right only to screw it up again. She is bawling. Her cell phone rings and it’s Mama Tere. Marci tells her that she’s with Fernando now. Fer yells “Mama.” While on the phone to Tere M is crying and telling Fer that’s enough. Tere should be wondering in what dire straights M has found him since she’s bawling so much, but, it doesn’t appear she asks, so Marcia tells her “yes, ok” and hangs up.

Lety and Aldo are now wandering on the beach. Aldo holds the letter and says he’s going to throw it in the ocean. Lety stops him, “she caused you that much pain?” He tells her yes, that the letter is from his sister-in-law and from the date it looks as if it were written just after the death. L- You really don’t want to know what’s in the letter? A continues that he abandoned everything after he found out about his wife, his house, his job, and the sister was probably looking for me and it is probably just a condolence letter that arrived a little too late. L- Ok, well if you are afraid to confront the past then don’t, I’ll make a roll and throw it in for you. A-Ok, how come I always understand your message? Let’s read it then, and he tears it open.

As Marcia carries Fer out, the doorman covers his privates as he passes. Fer says he can do it himself. M asks where is a hospital. The doorman starts to explain when Fer pulls her back and says he’s not going to any hospital. Marcia tells him this is enough already. He says ok and gives her a hug. She says let’s go your car is just outside. He says no, he wants his car in here. Besides I want to go to my house right now. She says well your house is really far in case you don’t remember you drove like a crazy man to Acapulco! You are in Aca! F -Aha, of course, the boat! Regardless, he wants to go by himself. She tells him they’ll make a pact. He comes with her and she promises not to take him to the hospital and she’ll be quiet the whole way back to the City. He hugs barman again. He says, but he'll drive then, because he knows how she is when she is all emotional, she might crash. She rolls her eyes. F mutters to his instant best friend bar man that, “I’ll come back. I’ll leave her in the City and then I’ll come back here in a bit.” Barman says no thank you. Go.

At the beach Aldo begins to read the letter:
My beloved Aldo. As I write I’m still crying about the recent death of my sister. I didn’t know where to find you so I sent this card to your father’s house. I thought it was urgent because it didn’t seem fair for you to go around with the wrong idea of Leonora. Yes, it’s true she was going with your best friend. But she did it because she loved you too much. Leonora was afraid that you didn’t love her as much as she loved you. She decided to test you and to make you jealous, so she slept with your best friend, and the only thing that she got was death.

Aldo asks why so much insanity. My only error was loving her without jealousy. Why would she try to demonstrate her love by making me jealous. Why? Lety says she doesn’t know, that jealousy is the tomb of love.

Julieta now having read everything, tells herself she knew that Lety was suffering for something, but she never imagined it was this bad. She’s mad that Leti told her diary instead of her mother who gave her life and could get rid of her tears. [Um, I get that one....] Erasmo calls her and she snaps out of it and runs down.

Aldo rereads passages from the letter and Lety notes he’s doing the same thing she did when she kept rereading Omar’s letter. Aldo asks if it made her feel better or at least not as bad?. She says no worse. Each time more offended and hurt. He says Leonora died two years ago and he’s over it now. She asks him if her betrayal still hurts him. He says no, for that this letter worked. I see that it was my ego that was suffering, my vanity offended. Deep inside I felt indignant because I was traded for my best friend. Lety says no one could exchange you for anyone else. You see she didn’t, she just wanted to make you jealous. He says how unhealthy, but I have to understand that was her story.. L- And now what is the fire saying to you? A -The fire tells me that I need to cleanse my heart and get rid of this absurd resentment. It also tells me that jealousy isn’t love and it needs to disappear forever. He bids his dead wife adieu forever as he throws the letter into the fire.

Back at Casa Padilla Julieta is summoned by Erasmo for his daily feed. He is mad that he goes around the streets trying to earn the daily bread and when he gets home there is nothing ready for dinner and not even a pot on the stove. Ooooh I just wanted to punch him!!!! But alas, it’s their world. Julieta tells him she’ll fix something in a jiffy, and he remarks how he doesn’t like improvised dishes. She says it’s not improvised, just quick. He reaches for a bottle of tequilita and she asks him what he’s doing telling him she doesn’t like to see him drink alcohol and reminds him the last time he drank he lost his daughter. He says fine he won’t. She is upset for reading about what happened but of course can’t let Erasmo know. She does admit she misses Leti very much and wants to hold her. E does too.

Marcia and Fer are back in Mexico at her apartment. It would have been close to a four hour drive in the middle of the night (assuming they didn’t leave his cute little car in Aca.) and doesn’t her hair just look so smart!! She leads him to the bedroom calling him her love, he looks at her and she says sorry, Fernando.

At the beach in a tender moment Lety touches Aldo then retracts and ruffled says she better get back to the hotel because it’s almost morning and she will have to sleep a few hours. Aldo asks her if she doesn’t want to wait to watch the sunrise with him. She says without sleeping? He tells her for him it will be something very important, it will be like being reborn after the insolent night.

M thinks they should call a doctor. He thinks it’s better to summon an exorcist to conduct an exorcism on him. He can’t stand it any more. She says she’s going to take care of him, and give him a sedative so he can sleep. He says he can’t sleep here in her house. He tells her he doesn’t want to offend her. He thinks it’s unjust that she came to Aca just for him. She tells him she could never abandon him. He wonders why she is doing this and he feels bad she saw him in this state. She says not to worry about that. M –Even though there is nothing between us any more I can’t just stand back with my arms crossed and let you destroy yourself…She tells him what she feels for him is greater than anything.…Fer leans up to look at the picture of them together that is still on display in her room.

Back at the beach Lety and Aldo are in the sunlight of dawn (though I swear from the position of the sun it looks to be near afternoon. Oh silly me, I keep forgetting we are in telenovela land. ;) She says she’s never seen the sunrise on the beach, it’s marvelous! Ok it’s a gift to you, Aldo says, the beach, the ocean, the dawn, all a gift to you. She says no it’s our gift. Anyway, Aldo tells her to get up to go to the water, She is nervous, into the waves? She tells him not to let go of her after he takes off her glasses. He says yes. They hug and dunk under waves then KISS!!!! They rush out of the waves holding hands and Aldo leans in for another Kiss, ok get ready for this all you Fern addicts in withdrawal, turns out to Lety, it’s really lovely locks Fernando planting a long succulent kiss on her! Darn, I actually wanted to see a real kiss from Aldo. Oh well, more mystery. When Lety opens her eyes Aldo is smiling and wants to kiss her again. She gets upset and runs to collect her things, she’s sorry. He wants to talk about it, but she says no, later, please, later, and she’s back to calling him Senor.

Marcia asks Fer if he’s still in pain. She tells him he’ll awake tomorrow more swollen and she thinks she should have taken him to the hospital. She’s focusing on his face, but man with the whooping he got from five guys kicking him, I’d be more worried about his ribcage, no? She asks what he did. He says what did they do to him. She says no, he went to a place where they would kill him. She says to seal everything, one more thing to cause his family pain if he was gone. Fer asks Marcia why the picture is still there, he thought she would have thrown it out. She doesn’t want to touch the subject. He asks if she is still in love with him. She tells him that the heart is a traitor that unfortunately we carry inside with us.

Back inside Lety reflects on it all and realizes she still loves Fernando and wondered why she kissed Aldo and seems troubled. In contrast Aldo continues walking on the beach talking to the sea. He is reflecting upon their kiss. A- We kissed! It was a kiss of love! I needed and wanted to kiss her! I feel like I’m cured!! He is excited that he feels he can love again and he does a goofy dance in the ocean flipping around like a wounded fish, yet obviously very confident about his manhood in his pink shirt. And yeah, those white pants get pretty translucent so I’d agree he’s got nothing to concern himself about. Yum!

Back at Marcia’s, hair still perfect, she kisses him on the cheek, and he jokes that he imagines that kissing him must be as bad as kissing a monster. M-I would kiss every one of your wounds if you were still mine. I fought and sacrificed much for you, but now it’s time to think about myself. She tells him to get some sleep.

Lety is asleep on the couch and Caro calls her to wake up and get ready. Aldo is on the beach in his sexy Village People out fit and he prepares an illegal size mesh net, praying to the ocean to give him it’s fruits, that tonight he wants to prepare a special dinner, because it’s a special day for him.

Fer gets ready to go and he realizes that his things are still in her bath cabinet. [He must have had a fresh shirt there too.] She knocks and brings him his breakfast. She already ate. She says they have to go to Conceptos and rhetorically asks him if he remembers how important today’s meeting is. She gives him a suitcase to take all of his things home. Dramatic music and cut. Just one thing I want you to notice, that Marcia’s hair is fluffy and curled.

Also, for those of you fighting back and forth between liking Aldo or Fernando, I want to point this out. I know Fer is the favorite son, but objectively, man, unless you are a masochist, I don’t see how you could prefer Fer at this point. Aldo has done everything right. Treated Lety like a queen, talked philosophy, is stable and confident, has an incredible house in tropical Acapulco, successful, takes her around town, carriage rides, romantic dinners, diving, meeting the father who also finds her enchanting, and asking her to watch the sunrise on the beach with him without trying to score in the sand. When you rack that up with Fern’s deception, wussiness and hiding of their relationship, capricious whims, asking her to cook books, failure to fess up, questionable success due only to his family position, parents think she’s a gargolita, nice house but in tepid Mexico City with 22 million other people, no view, and pollution; drunken tirades treating other people like crap, etc. I’m thinking we are pretty sick in the head to want her to be with him. Why is it again that we want her to be with him?? :)

Heridas de Amor Tuesday 01/09/07 - In which we have only four episodes left and this one is wasted in endless yacking!

Miranda tells a stricken Fabricio that according to the HPT yes, she is pregnant. Pamela and Renata are ecstatic. Faby dolefully congratulates Miranda but hey, it's a good excuse to give her a hug.

Fab says he's sorry for being a pest, but he would LOVE to be a daddy to her kid. She says, "You know you and Al are supposed to be friends, right?" Fab thinks he and Miranda deserve another chance and he vows Florencia would be happy if they took another whack at it. (???) Miranda is looking like she might actually buy this load, but when Fab asks her what she thinks she tells him she wants to be alone...but would he please leave baby Enrique with her?

Miranda prays to the virgin and hopes that she really is pregnant. She recalls Nati's words, that she will flower with a child. "How did Nati know before I knew? I have to tell Alejandro..." but then she has a green flashback of Al saying he doesn't want kids. Miranda decides that Al must never know. Much contractual sobbing ensues.

Marisol is pained that Lil just gave her a slap. Well-deserved if you ask me. Lil says she regrets what she said to Al, that she won't live her life only as somebody's lover, she will raise Sofia alone, no more lies. Marisol sarcastically claps her hands and asks where Lil suddenly found her dignity. Lil says it comes from love for her daughter, now get the hell out of here. Marisol tells Lil to go ahead and stay home alone ruminating on her stupid valor and ridiculous principles. After Marisol leaves Sofia comforts her mama and admits that she called Miranda because Marisol put her up to it.

Renata and Juan are in bed talking about Miranda's pregnancy when his phone rings. It's Sanson and he wants to meet with Juan the next day. Renata doesn't want Juan to go, Sanson is violent. Juan says he agreed because he's afraid Sanson will do something to Amparo and Francisco if he doesn't.

The next morning Al admits to Luciano that he never made it to Miranda's presentation. Even Luciano looks disgusted. Al says he is an imbecile, he was with Liliana. Luc says Miranda will never forgive him. Duh. Pamela even called him to say she was going to stay with Miranda because Miranda felt bad and didn't want to be alone. Al makes some lame statement about not wanting to leave Liliana in her current state. I truly wanted to hurl. He's such a wimp, I swear if Miranda gets him under her thumb he'll be there for life.

Miranda instructs Renata, Fabricio and Pamela to never tell Alejandro that she's pregnant. Not one word to him! She tells Pamela not to tell Luciano because everybody know guys can't keep a secret. (I may have paraphrased that last bit.)

Fernanda arrives after a hard night in the emergency room, lots of locos, drunks and wounds. Miranda tells her that she might be pregnant. Fernanda advises her not to rely on the HPT, she needs a real exam. Just then, (but too late to hear Miranda's pregnancy news I think) Bertha arrives. They are all impactados, especially Fab and Fern. Bertha announces to Fernanda, Miranda and Renata that she wants to speak to them.

Lil's doorbell rings. It's Marisol. Lil is mad and tells Mari that Sofia finked on her. Thanks to her (Mari) Alejandro now hates her (Lil). Mari says that Lil lets Miranda call all the shots and if SHE were after Al he would be in her bed by now. Obviously she thinks it's OK to brag about being a lying, husband-stealing, home-wrecking slut.

I can't tell if Marisol is serious or if she's sucking up to Lil. She lists all of Liliana's wonderful attributes and asks what kind of man is Alejandro? Instead of dining on Liliana's delicious, succulent meal (I swear she said that) with a big spoon, he uses a SMALL STICK (heh, heh, I swear she said that too) and doesn't even get it dirty (I swear!) before going away. Lil tells Marisol that she (Mari) would die of desire to have a man look at her the way Al looks at Miranda, admit it.

Marisol asks Lil to forgive her, she only did what she did for Lil's benefit...and also for hers because she would make out big time if her pal married a millionnaire, nudge nudge wink wink. "Sheesh, you're such a cynic," Lil says, "Sometimes I don't understand why we're friends."

Marisol makes a confusing (to me) speech about them meeting during a time of loneliness. They are friends because of, and in spite of, the good and the bad. Over and above all the bad they are friends and their friendship is the only thing they like to remember of the past. That's why they are friends. Lil sheds a tear. (If someone else has a better translation please jump in.) If you ask me it's a little late to be throwing in a mystery about two characters we can't wait to get rid of.

After that boring and annoying diversion we are back to Bertha and the San Llorente women. Renata tells Bertha to keep it brief. Bertha snaps back that it is to Renata that she has the least to say, now beat it. The nerve! Fern says it's OK for the girls to leave her alone with Bertha but Renata refuses, she's not going to do anything Bertha says.

Bertha tells them that before she fulfills her destiny she had to see them one last time, the perfect little family. Miranda calls her a cynic. Renata tells her the police are looking for her. They tell Bertha that she must pay for her actions. Bertha says she will pay...but in her own way. They glare at each other.

At casa Jimenez Juan waits for Sanson. Amparo wants to call the police but Juan says Sanson is a thief, not a killer. (Since when? Wasn't he going to kill both Raul and Roman at one point?) Sanson arrives and Amparo prays.

Sanson, crying, says Juan didn't kill his brother, it was he, Sanson, who caused his own brother's death. Sanson begs Juan's forgiveness for all the bad things he's done. After his brother died he had nobody so he blamed Juan, his brother's best friend. Still sobbing, he apologizes to Amparo and Fancisco, they were always kind and generous to him. They not only raised the three sons but also him and Carola. He should have kissed their hands but instead he turned bad. Can they ever forgive him? He turns to leave.

Juan stops him, calls him Elias (his real name I guess) and asks if he knows why he's sick. Elias/Sanson says he's going to die from AIDS. Juan says he will help him get into the same medical program as Veronica. They hug, all is forgiven.

Al tells Luciano that he's convinced that he was not born for this love business. If it doesn't confuse you then it wounds you and frankly he likes neither. What a baby. He says he's going to dedicate himself 100 percent to the business, get it up and running again, give it to Miranda and then go to the beach for a while.

Just then Luciano gets a call. "What?? (looks happy) Are you sure??" It is the Prime Minister of the Bank of Italy, calling to say that everything fell in Alejandro's favor. In just a few days his accounts will be freed and he'll be rich again. The government is about to extradite Bertha.

Back at the San Llorente house Bertha tells Fern, Miranda and Renata that nobody ever understood her reasons and now her death will be on their consciences. "I will die as I lived...alone," she says dramatically.

Fern says no, they're not taking any responsibility and Bertha had better leave. Miranda tells Bertha she forgives her. Renata says she forgives her and Florencia would forgive her too. Bertha has a green flashback of Flor's last words to her..."You're dirty and repugnant. You'll never have a man's love because the aroma of death is in your blood. For this I forgive you, yes I forgive you." Back in the present Bertha holds her hand to her head, looks horrified, then shakes it off. "I don't need your forgiveness!" she hisses to her sister and nieces. She grabs Lucas and leaves.

Bertha slowly descends the San Llorente steps with Lucas at her side. She has another green flashback, this time of El Guapo. She remembers telling him she never loses, never! He snickers and asks does she hear what she's saying? None of the San Llorente house is hers and now she is kicked out of it. She has none of Alejandro's inheritance, none. All that she possesses is virtual, in her head. In reality she has nothing. Back in the present Charo watches Bertha as she staggers away.

Juan gives Elias/Sanson a pep talk about his quality of life with AIDS. Juan holds Veronica up as an example. An example of what I'd like to know? I missed the scene where she bit Sanson but did she not deliberately infect him, another human being, with the AIDS virus? Isn't that against the law or something? Shouldn't she be in jail? Shouldn't Juan at least have given her some kind of responsibility lecture? Instead she's still walking around baring her ugly fangs. I still loathe her and yes Chris, we can still call her Slutty McSlutterson!

Well, during my rant I kind of missed the rest of the conversation but the Jimenezes are hugging Elias/Sanson and they're going to help him find a real job. For some reason the camera goes into slo-mo as he leaves the room.

Charo, in a dither, approaches Fern and Miranda. I think she says that she watched Bertha leave from afar and that drops of powerful poison were dripping off her. Bertha did much mischief to them, she hopes the police arrest her and never let her out of jail! Fern is rather shocked at Charo's outburst and reminds her that Bertha is her sister after all.

Andrea arrives to say goodbye, Luc and Pam are shipping her off to Canada with some friends. Andrea says she saw Bertha and her fearsome dog get into a taxi. Fern says she feels bad for Bertha because she's her sister.

Cesar searches for his cell phone in his shambles of an apartment. When he finally locates it he calls someone. He tells them they need to repay the money he loaned to them. NO no no, not to his bank account! He'll stop by and pick it up in cash. He pours a drink (of course) and says the time has come, it's each person for themselves, then takes a big swig. "I'm not going to stand by and do nothing. Miranda and Alejandro are in for a new surprise."

There is quite a crowd at the San Llorente house. Rebecca and Julio tell Fern that she has been very noble to Bertha. Julio, rubbing his chest to remind us he's about to die from a bad ticker, is sympathetic to Fern's complex feelings regarding her sister, such a thing is difficult to express. Nevertheless Santiago does his lengthy best to express his feelings on the subject. Andrea happily bids farewell, she gets to go off to Canada and leave this endless blathering behind.

Renata and Miranda discuss Bertha ad nauseum so allow me to summarize. Renata: "I feel bad for her." Miranda: "She'll get what she deserves. She killed a bunch of people."

Apparently Liliana explained to Sofia off-camera why Al can't be her daddy. Miraculously Sofia seems satisfied with the explanation, whatever it was. We never hear it. Couldn't Lil have taken this route weeks ago thereby saving her daughter and herself (not to mention Al, Miranda and us) hours of anguish and torment? Sofia happily runs off to her room. Lil tells Marisol that Al had a point, maybe she should go looking for Sofia's father. Marisol thinks it's a bad idea but Lil says he has a right to know he has a daughter.

Liliana says now the only thing left to plan is what is she going to say to Miranda and when will she say it? Marisol is surprised, "You're still going to talk with her?" Lil is all "Hell yes I'm going to talk to her. That score will be settled because I'm going to settle it."

That was about the lamest "cliff-hanger" I could possibly have imagined. Where are the guns, the kidnappings, the escapes, the divine retribution? Will our hunger for justice be sated? Can these heridas de amor possibly be healed by Friday?

* MA is with the comatose Gabriel in the hospital room. Jossie enters - MA asks her to leave - Jossie refuses and instead antagonizes MA - MA doesn't appreciate it in the least and informs her that nothing she can do will break them up, now that she's pregnant with Gabriel's child. Jossie is in shock - MA says believe it cause it's true (nanny-nanny-boo-boo). Jossie does the "boo-to-you-too" as she informs MA that surprise she's pregnant with Gabriel's baby also. MA can't believe it and thinks it is a lie and a trick - Jossie says it is totally true and reminds MA about the night of passion that Jossie had with Gabriel. MA still is in disbelief - Jossie says whatever, it is true, Gabriel will be with her and not MA and leaves. MA talks to Gabriel making herself believe it is a dirty trick to try and separate them.

* Leo goes to the night club and finds Elsa drunk and working at the clientele tables. Leo tries to get Elsa to leave and Elsa refuses, a fight starts, the "pimp daddy" manager has security restrain Leo and as Leo screams to Elsa, the security hauls him out of the club. "Pimp daddy" regains order as security takes Leo to the door, punch him in the stomach and throw him to the curb.

Leo puts his jacket on Elsa; he takes a deep breath and sits on the steps of stage as the officer takes her away - Leo quickly follows her.

* MA talks with comatose Gabriel about Jossie's pregnancy scheme - she is talking herself into believing it is a dirty trick just to break her and Gabriel up and she won't let it work.

* Sylvester and Shorty (I keep having a looney tunes moment and keep wanting to call him Tweety instead) at the apartment building patio having a conversation about Shorty's gag call to Sylvester earlier - Sylvester wasn't amused. Mayeya and Gabino enter the patio - see Sylvester and Shorty and decide to have some more fun at Shorty's expense. Leo runs in at that moment, frantic, and tells them about Elsa at the club. Sylvester panics and wants to know more details.

As Leo and the police officer escort Elsa out of the holding cell area, Leo stops to exchange a few harsh words with Rogelio and Tiberio. Leo blames them for Elsa's current state - they defray the blame by saying it was Elsa's decision. Leo lunges at Tiberio - misses - gives them a stern warning.

* Miriam barges into Demian's office and interrupts his meeting with Regina. Demian is offended by the interruption - Regina politely leaves them alone. Demian scolds Miriam for even coming to the office. Miriam needs his help with Coyote - Demian refuses to help her at all - Miriam says he will regret that decision and leaves.

* MA is checking David's work in Candy's apartment. David leaves to play outside. MA and Candy discuss Jossie's pregnancy news - Candy thinks it is a lie; this makes MA happy as she continues to believe in her dream with Gabriel.

* Jossie visits comatose Gabriel - she kisses and whispers in his ear about her pregnancy. Dolores walks in wanting to know why Jossie is there, and wants her to leave; Jossie refuses; Dolores grabs her, pulls Jossie's arm behind her back and pushes her out of the room. Jossie breaks free from Dolores' grip - they exchange threats, insults and have a "Fiera" stare-down.

* Pau meets with her doctor - he says that she is fine and will be able to get pregnant again - she wonders why she can't now - he says be patient - she is in a hurry.

* JC arrives at the office and talks with Tiberio about the construction project.

* Rogelio is in a private meeting with Demian - giving a full report about the materials for the construction project. Demian is happy with the initial effort - Rogelio wonders about his payment - Demian stands up and reminds Rogelio payment is based on condition of how well he continues his end of the deal.

* At her apartment, Leo reasons with Elsa to get her into treatment and have another exam. Elsa finally breaks down crying - she stands up and reveals that she was raped! Leo is shocked and wraps his arms around Elsa.

* Regina returns to Demian's office - she asks why Miriam was there to talk with him - Demian does his best to dodge and deflect the questions.

* Candy stops by the palace office to have a serious discussion with Miriam about MA and Leo. They argue - they slap each other - Candy gives her a warning and leaves.

* MA visits with comatose Gabriel. Jossie enters the room. This time Jossie forces MA to read the results - it proves that Jossie is indeed pregnant with Gabriel's baby. MA bewildered looks from Gabriel to Jossie to the envelope.

La Fea Más Bella #184 1/9/07 Almost doesn't count

Dramatic music plays while Julieta repeats the last line of Lety’s diary.

Saimon prances around in the reception area pretending to be a matador. PM comments that she doesn’t know what is worse, the Company’s problems or Lety’s disappearance. At that moment Fernando steps off the elevator and asks for his vehicle. Saimon hands Fernando the original key and the duplicate key. Saimon says that the car is parked outside of the business where Don Fernando (pause) was the president. Saimon volunteers to accompany Fernando wherever he needs to go. PM thinks it would be better if Saimon took Fernando. Fernando asks Saimon if he (Saimon) wants to accompany Fernando to hell. PM comments on Fernando’s poor state.

Teresita and Marcia tag team Omar to find out what’s up with Fernando. Omar confesses to the women that the judge decided for Lety and that there is no longer a way to take back the business from Lety. Now Lety is sending her lawyer to talk with the management at Conceptos. Marcia screams that she knew it. Teresita is more worried about Fernando leaving the building alone like a crazy man. Omar says that Fernando is like a wild beast right now almost to the point of fighting with Omar. Marcia says that Fernando is probably out looking for Lety.

Lety talks to Miss Puebla about the problems with MP parents. Lety says she understands that MP is sad because her parents don’t care about the things that are important to MP. MP explains that she entered the pageant so that her parents would be proud of her; she wanted to be more important to them. Lety tells MP that she has no idea how much Lety understands. Lety says that MP needs to accept that her parents are not coming. She explains that MP needs to continue to love her parents but must learn how to live for herself. MP protests. Lety tells MP to go to her house if that’s what she wants but asks for one last favor.

Marcia complains some more about Fernando. Saimon comes into the office to tell them that Fernando left the office. Saimon guiltily tells the ladies that Fernando was drinking when he left. Marcia thinks this is a poor reflection of Fernando’s behavior in the office. Saimon interrupts and says that Fernando was very bad, furious and mad and that he said he was going straight to hell! Teresita seems worried; Marcia is less so.

Carolina shows the women how to demonstrate an outfit. Alex enters and greets them all. Lety approaches Caro and asks for a pardon because she could not convince MP to stay. Renata walks over to Caro and says that she is returning to Puebla. Caro tries to help. Lety grabs MP’s costume to try to convince her that the costume needs someone to wear it. MP says she’s thought about it and she’s definitely going home. Lety pulls MP aside and says she wants to teach MP something. She’s going to give MP one last opportunity to reflect on her decision.

Fernando erratically drives down the highway. He thinks about his conversation with Jorge Flores. His thoughts re-center on Lety.

MP looks for Lety. Lety steps into the room in the Puebla costume. She pretends that she is now the new representative of Puebla. Lety explains to the “judges” that there was a last minute change and the beautiful representative of Puebla left and the state is now represented by an ugly representative who will do anything for her state. All the beauties crowd around her and applause. When Lety sees Caro she apologizes for what she’s doing. Everyone applauses again, led by Caro. One of the ladies says that Lety looks beautiful. Miss Veracruz asks the girls if they should declare Lety the winner of the Nuestra Belleza pageant. Alex takes a picture of all the ladies with Lety in the middle. MP scrunches her face.

Fernando makes it to the beach, but almost runs into a boat. Aldo emerges from the ocean behind him. Fernando sits on his car and complains about the person who had the nerve to park a boat in the middle of the beach. He takes a sip of his liquor and toasts the boat.

Alex comes over to Lety and kisses her hand. He says how nice she looks in the Puebla costume. Lety thanks him and teases him that this is the first time he’s ever called her Lety. Caro tells Lety that she really does look good, and to remember that physical beauty is short lived if there is not a beautiful spirit to support it. MP decides to go through with the pageant for herself and not for her parents. MP says that if Lety had taken MP’s place Lety would have won. Alex thinks they don’t have to take this that far. Some of the girls come over to Lety and put a “Miss Lety” sash on her shoulder. Lety jokes that she could compete in that pageant. Lety says that the girls need to get ready for the contest that night. After everyone leaves, Caro tells Lety that Acapulco has done her good and that Lety will definitely return to Mexico a different person.

“Unbelievable!” Fernando walks over to the boat and yells at it. “Who?” “What?” He talks to the boat. Fernando doesn’t think the boat should be in the beach. Doesn’t its owner know that there are marinas and yacht clubs to park the boat? It dawns on him that it’s even weirder that his car is on the beach. Fernando salutes himself for coming to Acapulco. He points to the city, realizing that’s where he’s supposed to be. Fernando drunkenly climbs back into his car and drives off in the direction that he was pointing. Aldo steps out of the ocean and talks about the marvelously crazy man. He walks over to his boat and asks it if the drunk man frightened it. He tells the boat that they need to prepare for a very, very special night.

Back at Conceptos Marcia and Teresita talks some more about Fernando and the business. Marcia’s upset because Fernando will not answer his cell phone. Teresita still cannot believe that her son would participate in such nonsense. Teresita decides to give his cell phone one last call.

Fernando’s phone rings in Acapulco. Teresita thanks God that Fernando answered the phone. She asks Fernando his location. At first he says that he doesn’t know where he is, but later reminds her that he’s in Acapulco. Marcia sits back in her chair and holds her head. Fernando hangs up the phone and accelerates toward Acapulco! Teresita and Marcia ask each other what Fernando is doing in Acapulco. Neither can believe it! Marcia resolves to take the first plane to Acapulco and to go get Fernando so that Humberto doesn’t find out about this problem.

Julieta continues to read Lety’s diary and all about Fernando and the creation of Filmo Imagen. So far nothing too incriminating…

Fernando enters a bar with his bottle still in hand. He bumps into some guy on his way to the bar. Next, he whistles at some woman. My husband was quite entertained by him hissing out the word “Salsa” and making a slithering sound at the woman. Fernando asks for a whiskey at the bar. The bartender asks what Fernando would like as a mixer. “Vodka.” The bartender stops for a second. Fernando introduces himself to the bartender (Libardo). They joke around about how small Libardo is for a little while, but Fernando eventually asks (Liberato – he calls the bartender the wrong name) for the whiskey again. He pets the drunken man passed out next to him. Fernando stops thumping on the bar and asks aloud why Lety did this to him.

Julieta continues to read. She finds the entry after the first night Fernando and Lety made love. “I was his and he was mine.”

Fernando is also thinking about that first night with Lety, but he has tears in his eyes. He also thinks about their second night. “Only God knows how much I love you, Lety.” He repeats this phrase to himself.

Julieta continues to smile as she reads about the “adventures” of Lety and Fernando.

The Nuestra Belleza chicas, including MP, show off their regional costumes. Everyone applauses the whole time they are on the stage. The announcer states that each woman will go down the stage individually. Anyone else notice that Miss Veracruz looks a little like Catherine Zeta-Jones? When she enters the stage Aldo comments that MP looks very pretty, sure of herself and happy. Caro tells Aldo that he will not believe who convinced MP to participate. Caro tells Aldo the story about Lety convincing MP. Alex confirms. Lety giggles. Aldo asks Lety for details about what she did to convince MP. Lety starts her story.

Meanwhile, Fernando chills at the bar. Fernando asks the bartender if he (Fernando) has the face of a fool. (BTW, imbecil can also translate to mean “asshole.” I’m going to use “fool” to be a little more family friendly, but you can translate it how you like.) Fernando tells the bartender that of course he has the face of a fool, because he is a fool. The bartender weakly protests. Fernando sees three women talking in a group and calls them three little problems. One of the pretty girls walks up to the bar and asks for another drink. Fernando asks, “Little problem, what is your name?” She doesn’t answer and walks away the instant she gets her drink. Another girl comes up to the bar. Fernando drunkenly leers and puts her on the bar. He turns to the bartender and says that the girl was “medio güey.” (Okay, brief Spanish lesson. Güey has different meanings in Mexico depending on to whom it’s referring. It’s okay for a man to say to another man or in modern times a woman to say to another woman. In those instances it’s a term of affection, like “buddy.” However, it is not okay for a man to say it to/about a woman. In that context it is a very derogatory way of describing a woman who cheats on her man. Unfortunately, there is really no English word that completely encompasses the meaning of güey.) He re-focuses on the original pretty girl. He points out to the bartender that the girl is flirting with that guy but will later betray him. The bartender tries to calm him.

The beauties parade again down the walkway. Lety finishes her story telling Aldo that she convinced MP to do the pageant for herself and not for everyone else. Aldo says he’s he would have loved to see Lety in the costume. Alex says that Lety look great. Aldo turns to Lety and says that he’s impressed that Lety is teaching the girls what she wants to learn for herself. The girls walk to the back to the stage to find out who won the ethnic dress section. Surprise! It’s Renata, Miss Puebla! All the girls surround her and congratulate her.

Fernando continues to laugh at the little social group in the corner. The bartender thinks Fernando is going to vomit. Nope, Fernando wants to know what that guy in the corner is celebrating. The bartender explains that it is their anniversary. Fernando falls off the bar onto the floor from laughing. He pets the drunken guy again. Fernando climbs back onto the bar to laugh at the happy couple. He says that the proper way to celebrate an anniversary is for one to buy a ticket to Hungry and the other to go to Jamaica so that they each can enjoy their anniversary. They so far have successfully ignored him. Fernando calls the “bully” over to him. He loudly whispers that the girl is betraying the man. The man calls Fernando a drunk and leaves Fernando to walk back over to his girl. Fernando makes fun of the man for having the intuition of an “Omar Carvajal.” Fernando shouts after the man who tells him to shut up. Fernando asks the man whom it was that he called a fool. “You.” the man replies. Fernando insults the man some more by calling him Guli (like from Gulliver’s travels) because he’s so large. The bartender tries to come in between Fernando and the man. Fernando counts out the men, says the woman doesn’t count because she’s a girl and also says the short man doesn’t count. The men line up to go after Fernando. The bartender protests even more loudly but Fernando picks him up and puts him on the bar. The woman now interferes and tells her man to leave Fernando alone because he’s drunk. The bartender gets down and tries to help some more. Fernando pushes the bartender toward Guli. Fernando laughs and calls them David and Goliath. The bartender interferes and says that these men are fighters and that they’ll kill him (Fernando). Fernando says he’s not suicidal; he’s not going to fight with these dinosaurs. He turns to confront the man who called him a fool. The woman continues to hold the men back. Fernando says he doesn’t want any problems and pushes one of the men. He asks the large man if he’s pregnant. One of the employees asks Fernando to leave. Fernando crawls on the bar and says he only one thing to say. He tells them that they have the face of old people and starts to chicken dance on the bar. The quick glance at his face indicates that maybe he’s wanting what he knows is about to come to him.

Caro says that the night was a success and now they only have the night of the coronation. Lety takes her leave of Caro. She and Aldo walk off to meet his father.

Fernando dances on the bar while Aldo’s father asks for Senor Domenzain. The man asks him to take a seat because there’s a problem at the bar. Fernando taunts the men. He takes a stage dive into the group of men. Luckily, they’re charitable enough to catch him. One of the men punches Fernando right in the face. The bartender says that these men will kill him. “You speak with reason.” Fernando replies. Fernando turns around and says he’s sorry. He says he has one more thing to say. He basically insinuates that he slept with their mothers and left his underwear in the hallway. The men don’t find the joke funny and start beating on Fernando. Aldo’s father is in the background complaining about the ruckus. Drunken guy continues to sleep. Fernando gets up from the floor and asks who else wants to dance with him. He grabs the pretty girl and starts to dance with her. Her man punches Fernando. This time the men knock him to the floor, with blood coming from his mouth.

At that moment Lety and Aldo enter the bar. Lety says she feels as though someone important whom she knows is there. Aldo’s father comes up to them and says that he wants to leave this place immediately. Lety notices the group of men picking up the drunk and feels bad for him; she thinks the men are going to kill him. They leave the bar. The bouncers bring Fernando around to another entrance and drop him off. Lety and Aldo walk over to Fernando. They hover over him for a moment, but Aldo’s papa insists that they leave. Lety says they should leave to make sure Aldo’s father doesn’t leave without him. Fernando is left alone on the floor telling himself how much he misses Lety.

Julieta gets to the not so good part of Lety’s diary. She’s now reading from the day Lety discovered The Letter.

Back in Acapulco, Fernando takes a short nap. He gets up and goes back into the bar but is immediately chased out by the doorman. Fernando calls the doorman to him. He says that He has to enter the bar because he did not pay the bill and because he needs to apologize to the men inside. Fernando offers the doorman money. The doorman helps Fernando into the bar. Fernando slowly walks over to the drunk guy and the bartender, who quickly hands Fernando a drink. Fernando stumbles over to the group and says he’s sorry again. This time he kneels on the floor. One of the men tells him to stand up. Fernando says that none of the men’s mothers did anything. They don’t understand him. He says that the only woman with whom he went out was the girl in the red dress. The woman denies it. Fernando gives a half hearted attempt at a head butt. One of the men punches Fernando while the other holds him. Fernando’s phone rings; the bartender answers. It’s Marcia. She asks the bartender if Fernando is with him. The bartender reveals that Fernando was fighting.

Heridas de Amor 01/08/07

Luciano informs Alejandro that the authorities now have bulletins out for both Cesar and Bertha and so they will not be able to leave the country. Alejandro is about to leave the office to catch up to Miranda and join her for the chocolate exhibition that is just about to begin when Liliana, angry as heck that she has just been given a severance check, demands to speak to him alone. He asks her to be brief because he has an event to get to. She complains that she left her last position specifically at his request and now she gets a check and the cold shoulder. She demands he sit down and listen to her and darned if she hasn't earned the right to take her damned time about it. He sits down, guiltily, and they take their time discussing Sofia's emotional needs as well as her own.

Miranda is being helped and supported by Fabricio, Pamela, Gabino, Arcadia and Nati. Fabricio points out a so-called inspector who is complaining that her chocolates don't meet his association's standards. He threatens her with closing her show down. She calls the "inspector's" bluff and says there is no such association; he only wants her recipes and he better leave now because she is calling security. She kicks him out.

Renata and Juan help celebrate with the rest of the Jiminez family during the going away party for Raul and Carola.

Cesar the Sleezer admits to Lucas that his life has gone to the dogs, just like Bertha's, but if Miranda and Alejandro think they are going to live a fairytale they have another think coming. He'll make sure their life is hell. In comes Bertha and he warns her never to leave him to babysit a dog again. He's depressed. He tells her that Luis Alberto is taking the fortune he made and creating charitable foundations for poor beggars to enjoy. Bertha tells him to cheer up because, since Miranda is not pregnant, in one month all Alfredo's money will be hers, and of course, then his too.

The exhibition seems to be a success and Miranda is toasting everyone and vice versa. HEr company receives numerous orders and offers. Someone suggests she go national. Miranda is thrilled, but the big disappointment is that Alejandro has not arrived. She is waiting for Alejandro before she begins the formal presentation but he does not appear.

Fabricio tells Pamela in confidence that he is determined to ask Miranda for a second chance. Pamela says she's still married and it does not seem proper and tells him she is against it.

Back at the office, Alejandro is telling Liliana that he is in love with his wife. Instead of saying good bye, Alejandro then takes Liliana home and continues the discussion. Although Liliiana begs him to continue to help her with Sofia's emotional needs and to pretend there is something more between them, he refuses saying he doesn't feel it benefits anybody, least- wise her daughter, to continue with a relationship based on lies. He tells her he does not want to get further wrapped up in anything like that. Then she tells him she is prepared to do anything to keep him because she is so hopelessly in love with him. She is happy simply to be his lover.

Back at the exhibition Miranda is extremely hurt that Alejandro has not arrived. Eventually Miranda confides in Pamela that she is certain her husband is still with Liliana. She makes a decision to leave him. Fabricio realizes Alejandro has hurt Miranda again and takes advantage of the situation to express his feelings for her. He takes her by surprise, kisses her and confesses that he wants to start up their relationship again. She tells him she loves him, but not that way. He answers they'll talk later about it and leaves.

Miranda eventually begins the presentation without Alejandro, who just cannot break himself away from Liliana. (His ego won't let him.) He admits to her that if he were free he would never let her go. She is both too beautiful and intelligent.

Miranda is angry and jealous and despondently tells Pamela what Fabricio did. She says she possibly will give Fabricio another chance. Alejandro has hurt her again, so she will hurt him. Pamela tells her she is foolish to act like this.

At Cesar's apartment Bertha confides in Lucas that El Guapo was right. She doesn't have a thing of her own, only Lucas. Cesar comes out of his room and says they're are turning into crazy fools who soliloquize to themselves because nobody but their dogs will listen. Suddenly Bertha remembers the account she put in Santiago's name decades ago and says he knows it's hers and will have to return it all to her. Cesar tells her not to expect it. Right then there is a faint knock on the door and Cesar suspects the cops. Bertha tells him the cops don't knock like that. It turns out to be Sanson, coughing and sweating with his face covered in sores now. He asks Cesar for his last month's salary and gas reimbursements. Cesars tells him he doesn't have it and again calls him names. Finally Bertha opens up her own wallet, takes money out, and hands it to him telling him they won't need him any longer and not to bother coming around there again. Sanson takes it at first. Then, apparently figuring he has nothing to lose, he begins to insult the two of them. He pities them and tells Cesar he got just what he deserved. He then tells them that his is a physical infection, but theirs is one of the soul and has rotted them both from the inside. He throws the bills in their faces and walks out the door. Bertha and Cesar scramble to pick up the bills.

Alejandro and Liliana are still involved in a heavy discussion. He ask Liliana who Sofia's father is and why she just doesn't let the girl know who he is. She says he was a great man but he still doesn't know Sofia even exists and she is not about to tell him. He says it is silly to look for another father for her daughter when she already has one and that it isn't right for her to continue this way. Finally he remembers again that he has to go meet Miranda, and that he has already taken far too long there. Liliana says good-bye and he leaves for the exhibition at the hotel.

Miranda is depressed and disappointed that Alejandro never made it to the exhibition but Nati assures her that tonight she will get her just reward.

Marisol gets snide and argues with Liliana. She tells Liliana that she handled the whole thing wrong with Alejandro and her daughter is going to end up as insignificant as Liliana. Liliana said she went as far as her principles and morals would allow her. Marisol says that is exactly what her problem is and she had better not teach the same to Sofia. Liliana finally has had enough of Marisol's attitude and hauls off and slaps her. She tells Marisol she will never forgive her for all the rotten advice and having convinced her to forget those principles.

Nati is sitting alone in the empty exhibition hall when Alejandro finally shows up. He sees her and asks what he needs to do get his wife back. She answers he should follow the track of tears, but not to speak. He must listen and understand she will complain in silence. He must steal her soul and her heart and then never forget it.

Back at the mansion that night Pamela is advising Miranda not to do anything foolish by using Fabricio to get back at Alejandro. Miranda comes out of the bathroom and gets dizzy and sick to her stomach. She tells Pamela that this has been happening quite a few times recently to her. Pamela smiles and says she wonders if Miranda could be pregnant. Miranda says it couldn't be because her mother said she would need fertility treatments. Then Renata comes in and apologizes for missing the exhibition, but they got tied up in traffic after finally seeing off Raul at the airport. Miranda asks her sister how she finally figured out she was pregnant, what were the symptoms. Renata tells her and says she found out at first by taking a home pregnancy kit, but since Juan is there, he could examine her instead. Then Renata runs into his study and searches a couple of cabinets looking for another home pregnancy kit. When she finds it she explains what she needs it for. He doesn't believe Miranda could possibly be pregnant because of her need for treatments and her irregular periods.

Impatiently Pamela and Renata wait for Miranda to get the results from the kit. Fabricio enters the bedroom just as the two are chatting about Miranda possibly being pregnant. Miranda comes out of the bathroom and Fabricio asks her she is pregnant. She simply stares back at him in silence.

La Fea Más Bella #183 1/8/07 Lety rides the calandria and Fern drinks, drinks, drinks.

  • Yet again, Carolina gives Lety the day off, because she has to make personal calls. Tonight: the beauty queens will dress in regional costumes. "Lety, do you know where Aldo is?" "He has a meeting with Humberto." Carolina points out this Freudian slip: that's Fern's father's name, not Aldo's...
  • Fern badgers Alicia, who has said there are phone messages for the president of Conceptos, but none for him. He's very sarcastic. He points out that, by contract, he must work at Conceptos for six more months, and then he'll get back what's his, and the first thing he's going to do is fire "someone." "I'll give you hints so you can guess. Somebody without a moustache. Somebody without glasses. Somebody with dyed hair." Alicia is guessing all the other female employees, he says no no no. "A gossip with an empty head. An oxigenada who says she's studied 6 semesters someplace!" As usual, her affect is nil. Alicia may be voluptuous physically, but she's emotionally flatline. Her retort: "I wish you luck getting "yours" back, but it's going to be very hard, because the business has disappeared. And remember when I got here, you told me not to mess in your affairs, and now you want me to work." "I'm expecting a call from Lety, and from somebody you know very well: TOMAS MORA, you crafty little thing you, you tried to get his money..." He's quite nutty in this scene.

Fern asks if the others have heard from Lety, no they haven't, Simon ostentatiously speaks English to "Don Ferrrni." Fern asks Simon to come into his office.

Simon asks how Fern's doing and goes into an operatic effusion of support. Fern says "I hate this song! Please just go to my bar and get my car. Just go, I don't want to shout." They do a little "go-get-my car" dance.
  • Teresita tells Marcia: "We two have to take care of business. Fern is useless, who knows what planet Omar is on, Humberto spends 24 hours a day dealing with the creditors, Ariel is with the lawyers trying to find a solution to the Lety problem." Marcia says she's working hard and Conceptos is getting good inquiries, but Teresita is very worried.
  • Omar greets Fern with approval: "How nice to see you here on time, recently bathed, perfumed, in a clean shirt, true you have no tie, but - to be president, first you have to look like a president. Any news of Lety?" "No, I'm sitting here waiting for a call which might never come, and you're nattering on about my tie, it's stupid and superficial." Omar says "Queen Teresita" specially asked him to keep an eye on Fern, to rescue him from his life of drunkenness and remove Lety from his heart.

"How will you do that?" "On the computer there's a list of wonderful women [sketches curves in air] who'd die for a chance to go out with a couple guys like us (especially me), with divine legs, lips as sensuous as your own ..." "You think that will make me forget? And are you suggesting Lety is not a woman?" There is a review of Omar's ugly nicknames for Lety, and Fern says Omar is a poor emissary because he has misunderstood his mission - he's actually supposed to be getting Fern back into Marcia's arms, but nobody is going to get Lety out of his heart. "Anyway, I'm desperate, because mother suggested Lety might be going out with somebody new." Omar laughs, "Your mother is hallucinating. That's absurd! Lety will never get another miracle... that's an advantage of your falling for a fea." Omar derides Fern for thinking a fairy-tale prince, handsome, faithful, with a horse, will ride up and take Lety away, will share his dreams with her, etc etc, in order to make her his woman -
  • Omar's sarcastic comments are in fact intercut with shots of Aldo being exactly that kind of prince: he shows up with a calandria (horse-drawn carriage) festooned with balloons and takes Lety off to see a barely-begun building on the beach - "my broken dream" - it was to have been the first of his chain of restaurants, "The Taste of Life." He shows her where the traditional fireplace would have been, the kitchen... She doesn't like that he's using the past tense, as if it were all a dream. Did he give it up because of what happened with his spouse? Is he showing her this now because the upcoming meeting with his father is bringing up old memories? He kisses her hand ardently, she looks upset. He says, "Maybe I can resolve things with my dad, but with Leonora I can't, she's dead." He gets upset and hustles her back in the wagon.
  • Fern tries to throw Omar out, saying he needs to be alone. Omar's parting words: "When are you going to realize she doesn't want to talk to you? She just wants to destroy us." Fern says she's a good person and he believes in her blindly. Talk to her mother, Omar advises. Fern again tries to throw him out, saying, "We're not married, you're not my guard dog."
  • Julieta puts a nice chile in front of Tomas. Erasmo complains about this "digestive tube in human form who is here three meals a day, he'll leave us in ruin." The phone rings: it's Fern calling Julieta! "Lety hasn't called me, has she called you or Tomas?" "Yes, she talked to Tomas, do you want to talk to him?" "NO NO NO - but she needs to know, the business has such bad problems, she has to talk to me." "Tomas says she doesn't want to." "Beg her to give me another chance."

She passes the phone along and Tomas tells Fern: Lety now owns the whole shooting gallery. Fern goes wild, blames it all on Tomas (because he believes Lety and her parents are honorable people), and after hanging up starts drinking straight from the whiskey bottle. He forces Omar to do the same. I must say, as the daughter of an alcoholic, that I do not find Fern's drinking funny at all. It's bothering me quite a bit. Omar proposes that, rather than he and Fern conning Lety, perhaps she had been conning the both of them from the very beginning! Fern remembers Psychic Guy saying, "Lety is happy."

Omar and Fern take it into the hallway - Omar complains: "You feel betrayed, you're a victim, you have the face of a wet dog, begging for compassion." Teresita and Marcia are in the background as he continues. "I lost money too, Fern." Fern mocks him - Omar only owned one percent - and says again, he'll get it all back. Escaping, Fern says, "I'm going to church to get an exorcism."
  • In Acapulco Renata, one of the beauty girls, wants to drop out of the contest because her parents can't be there. Carolina sends Lety to talk to her. The girl bluffs at first but then admits that her parents decided to go on a vacation to Alaska rather than come see her. "I'm not important to them, so what difference does it make if I'm pretty?"
  • Julieta peeks in Lety's diary. She pretends to be dusting when Erasmo startles her from the doorway, saying he's going out to answer some help-wanted ads and hopefully find work. He leaves, and she opens the book, asking pardon of God and Lety. "I have to know."

She begins to read: "Nobody gives me a chance to show how much I can love - the driving force of my life and sentiments must be my work. It's the only thing that will save me: to be the shadow and the breath (or encouragement) of Don Fernando..."

Mundo de Fieras 01/07/07 Buns in the Oven

Thank you Melinama for doing my recaps....You did an outstanding job...

Hola back from Mx....Wow, I didn't see Demian...except on TV....another missed chance for my real destiny. Yes Mx is ahead of here and without giving away any spoilers...I gotta say "MUY GRAVE", remember that, yes it will come up later. There seems to be like a year or year and half or two year time jump...but pretty much everyone is the same lame tard they were before...the only spoiler I'll let out is this....the Chunky Chick hasn't had gastric bypass or even attempted to cut back to 8 squares a day...she apparently has not tried Herbalife.

Meanwhile I have been reading the recaps....Yes a special thanks to God and all 365 of the calendar saints that I missed the Gabe/MA makeout fest...I feel so dirty just thinking about it.
Soooo Now on to tonites exciting episode...

Well replay ol MA in the hospital next to Gabe resting comfortably in the land of Coma....Seriously how can you tell the difference...I always thought he was in a coma.
MA tells him she is preggers and a single meaningful tear escapes the right eye.

On to MA praying in front of flowers...yadda yadda yadda please help Gabe....
Eeeeeek she wheels around to Candleabra standing directly behind her....Hola, come on back to Naco Acres & fill me in on your lovely glow. Thus MA returns with Candleabra, where she tells Candy her great news...she is pregnant by Gabe & the whole coma thing is just a small bump in the road. ****Side bar****MA is certainly dressing much hipper than when she was the poor schoolteacher. Candy is thrilled and can hardly wait for a "Grandchild"...yeah I'm thinking if you are waitin for Leo to produce one....Well Honey we need to talk.

Now Leo is praying in front of same flowers to the Virgen Mary....and I am glad to see he still wears his bedazzeled Virgen Mary Jacket....You Go Guey!!!!
Anyway MA comes up behind him and speaks and he gets this OMG it is a miracle look....he then wheels around and is all shades of thrilled to see MA....She is thrilled to see him also only not in the same way....Yep she tells Leo she is PG by Gabe, Leo tears up and brings up the uncomfortable topic of the coma, he vows to be father to the child, no strings attached.
****Side Bar....I have only witnessed this A)on the hallmark hall of fame sunday nite movie
b) with gay co-workers that swear they love the pregnant girl****
MA is happy for the support, but you can tell she isn't gonna let a pesky lil thing like a coma, kill the good feeling buzz she has going. I'm not really sure if Leo is upset that she is preggers by another man or simply because she lost her virginity before he did.

Meanwhile Miriam goes to see Demian and tells him that it is not normal for Regina to take so much interest in Gabe....Demian laughs her off and says how can you be jealous of a vegetable?
****Now that's what I'm talkin about Demian, Gabe has always a bit of a photosynthetic lifeform to me***

Juan Cristobal & Paulina are in the mall and he starts talking to some little kid....you can just see the expression of pain on Paulina's face...Okay now I get it, she lost the kid while I was in MX....

Paulina stops in to see dear old Dad at the hospital and MA is in the room....
****At this point I notice his head is now rolled to the opposite side...Is MA moving his head like "For the love of God, Gabe will you at least act like you hear me?"****
Anyway, MA blurts out she is PG, I guess in case Paulina missed the 6 o'clock news...
Paulina is happy for her and the fact that she is going to have another brother/sister.
You can tell this whole thing tugs at Paulina's lil heart & her mother hormones are in full raging mode.

Joselyn goes to see Miriam and Joselyn looks ill, of course she always looks drugged or ill, but more so than normal....Cha-Ching.....yeah I'm gonna put a bet in here that she too is pregnant.

On the lighter side....the Naco comic relief have a scene where the chunky chick is pretending on the phone she is talking to herlover, to make the lil Naco chauffer jealous, then he calls Silvester and pretends he is talking to his lady love....No not exactly side splitting humor.

For even more good Naco fun, Silvester goes to visit Elsa who goes to the door in her nitey and tells him to leave her alone, he knows she has been drinking and when he leaves she pulls out a bottle from under the sofa cushion and starts drinking out of the bottle.

Joselyn shows up at the hospital and she and MA get into it...I'm thinking cat fight, but the ever present TeleNovela nurse shows up and says knock off the noise and boots Joselyn out.

Later Joselyn is stepping out of Lab, with a manila envelope and smiling the cat who just swallowed the canary smile.

Lil Tiny Tim shows up and the kid is moving around pretty good on those crutches....he and MA do some seriously praying for Pa. Thankfully MA does not blurt out her maternity status to the kid.

Paulina does an EPT at home & dang y'all it is negative....She goes to JC's office and laments her lack of pregnancy....Well just try harder.

We get to visit the Dark Mansion during dinner....Awkward....Dolores says, "Honey how was your day." to Tiberto, like your Mom used to say what did you learn in school. Tiberto answers the same as everyday.....uncomfortable silence and Demian is like, to the wood shed boy.
He takes Tiberto to his office and tells him, he better act nicer to Dolores, at least in front of Regina. Chastised Tiberto hangs his head in shame....you gotta feel for a 45 year old guy is threatened with a whuppin by his 47 year old father.

Later that evening in bed, Regina and Demian are talking, she mentions spending time with him and his already baritone voice drops about 5 octaves...she leans in for a tender kiss and the Demianator is all over her...he reaches over and turns out the lights....Cue the "When a Man loves a Woman Music"
Demian you are my hero.

Candleabra is trying to console Leo who once again is crying to his mama, he is the best man in the world and she so hates to see him suffer.....I personally just hate to see him, suffering or not I just hate to see him.

Switch to the strip club....Rog, Tib & Joselyn are drinking and laughing and having a good ole time. Elsa is dancing and looks totally out of it, meanwhile Joselyn is taunting them with some big surprise and how she will have her revenge.

Miriam and Ingrid (yes I am glad to see Ingrid is still among the living), are discussing the business needing money, Miriam states she can sell some of Joselyn's jewelry and Ingrid remarks Joselyn will go BSC over that. Miriam agrees

MA is maintaining her vigilance by Gabe's bed, Joselyn comes in....MA tells her she is pregnant by Gabe, Check----nah-nah-nah-nah...Ooooops
Not so fast Amiga....Joselyn counters....I too am pregnant by Gabe, she has the lab test in her hands....Ewwww CheckMate
