Mi Fortuna es Amarte #9 Mon. 3/7/22 "Malentendidos (misunderstandings) Abound!"

 1. Calculating Connie blames her being the hateful woman that she is on Tavo's failure to show her any kind of affection. Is it too much to ask that he love her? He grabs her hand and agrees it isn't too much to ask.  She poisons the moment when she adds that his love is the only thing that can make up for him not being able to give her baby. He withdraws his hand and looks down in guilt as she observes him from behind her "pained" look.

2. Everyone is at the supper table getting ready to eat as Chente thinks back on happier times when his Lucía was there.

3. Natalia serves the food and Regina tells JuanGa (who has started eating before everyone was at the table and must have served himself before in the kitchen) it is rude to chew with his mouth open (really?). Chente reminds him they are not cavemen.  Natalia makes a point of thanking Chente and his family for allowing her and her family to stay at the house. She acknowledges the very difficult situation that Chente and especially Benja find themselves in  missing Lucía so much. Chente thanks her. She will do whatever she can to be cooperative.

4. Omar know that Andrea is in a bad spot and wants to live with him. Andrea makes it clear that she is desperate needs him more than ever.  He says that he understands but doesn't want her making any rash decisions. Andrea makes it clear that what she feels for him is real and she wants to be with him the rest of her life. They kiss.

5. When they get home, Connie leads Tavo to the bedroom and plops herself down on the bed.  Tavo tries to get out of the situation saying that he is tired and that his dinner didn't settle very well so he is going to take a walk to help his digestions. She won't take no for an answer. He smiles and tries to make the best of it as she grabs him, pulls him to her and is all over him.  She asks him how long it has been since he made love to her, removes his jacket and kisses him. She pushes him on the bed and forces herself him.

6. Chole is still waiting with Olga keeping her company and concludes that Tavo isn't coming. Olga sympathizes with her and offers to take the food Chole bought over to Chente's so it won't go to waste. Chole tells her that she isn't going to use that as an excuse to go see Chente. Olga sees it differently. If you love somebody, you make excuses to make contact with that person not like Tavo.  Chole finally give in and tells her to take the food over to Chente's.

7. Andrea is going to miss Omar so much when he goes back to England. He will miss her too and says he is capable of doing anything for her. She doesn't agree because if that were the case, she would be living with him here at his apartment. He reminds her that his parents will never permit him to have her living there. She doesn't see it as a matter of permission but as a matter of his heart which he is in full control of. She has "proven" her love for him so now it is his turn. She wants to get married. He looks like he has been  bludgeoned.

8. Natalia and Chente are left at the table with their coffee chatting. There is a knock at the door. Natalia goes to answer thinking it is Andrea. Nope, it is Olga who looks her up and down with an expression of disgust on he face. Olga asks who she is. Natalia asks who she is looking for. Olga insists that she tell her who she is and wants to know what she is doing there at this time of the night. Olga barges in and demands that Chente tell her who the woman is. He informs her that she is Natalia and will be living there with him from today on.

9. Natalia is upset with Omar because he never replied to her wanting to marry him. Instead he is driving her back. He tells her that he needs to think  about getting married  before giving her an answer. She doesn't see it being complicated because they love each other. Omar think the only reason she wants to get married is to escape from her mother. He loves her but doesn't think they are at the age to get married yet. In a fit of rage, she tells him to stop the car because she is getting out. He finally stops the car without her jumping out and asks her if she wants him to leave her alone in "that" neighborhood when they are five minutes away from where she is staying. She angrily agrees to continue the ride.

10. Olga demands to know how she was the last to know about that woman coming to live at his house. Natalia tells her they met a few days ago. Olga cannot understand that. Chente tells Olga he doesn't have to give her any rhyme or reason for what he does. Natalia explains that she is the owner of the house and she is going to share it with Chente because of circumstances that she feels under no obligation to explain to Olga. Olga attacks Chente saying that she was there for him. Why is he doing this to her? Natalia asks Chente if he has a relationship with this woman.  Chente tells them both to stop it. Olga is only a friend. He explains that his Lucía is the only woman that has a place in his heart. He doesn't have any room for anyone else.  Natalia excuses herself. Chente motions for Olga to leave. She picks up the bag of take out and explains she was only bringing them something for supper. Chente says they already ate some delicious soup  that Natalia made but accepts her  food for tomorrow.  As he leads her to the door, he says he isn't running her off but he is tired and has to get some rest.  As she leaves, she states that  he is going to do that alone trying to reassure herself. Chente says nothing.

11. As Tavo and  Connie are under the covers on opposite sides of the bed,  she is openly critical saying she didn't think he could disappoint her more but he did. Tavo insists that  this was the first time this had ever happened to him. He is willing to give it another try but she refuses saying it just proves that he isn't man enough for her in any area of their lives. She wants to know if there is another woman. He insists there isn't. Well, she hopes not because if she ever finds that there is, he will regret  being born. He goes for some water and his phone  and she to sleep. She thinks that sleeping is the most fun she will be having in her bed that night.

12. Chole is crying in her room when Tavo calls. She refuses the call.

13. Tavo compares himself to the perro con las dos tortas/the dog with two sandwiches. (by refusing make a choice, he could end up with nothing.)

14. 2XJosé is in his room catching up on Regina's social media posts.

15. Natalia has her two daughters in her room and wants them to all stay together the first night in the house. She leaves the lights on. (?)

16. Benja is dreaming about his mother. He has the stuffed animal she gave him and each time he hugs it,  he thinks of her and it makes him happy. He is tells her about how nice the new lady who arrived at his house is and how she makes him smile. Yes, he likes her.  She is a real good cook and told him that his mother was taking care of him. Lucía explains that she is a mother and knows the mothers always take care of those they love the best. Benja thinks that his father likes her, too, because he is allowing her to live with them. Lucía is happy to hear that.  Benja asks if Natalia is the angel that Lucía sent them to take care of them. Lucía asks him what his heart says. With a big smile, Benja says his heart says "yes!" Lucía loves her son and he loves her, too.

17. The next morning, Natalia and her daughters are serenaded by a street musician and a little boy advertising an appliance business and also taking charity.

18. Chente leaves with Benja to drop him off at school.  He gives Benja money so he can make a contribution to the little boy's collection hat before they leave.

9. Tavo arrives  at work early and finds Valentina. She tells him she was there working all night  because she was restless and couldn't sleep. Tavo goes to have breakfast.

10. Tavo goes to see Chole. He and she are both in tears as he apologizes for having put her through this because what he really cannot take is losing her friendship.

11. 2XJosé needs some advice from Valentina since she is a girl and all. It urns out he is 16 and is interested in a girl  (Regina) who is 15. As she is ready to give him some atdvice, she sees Connie parking and goes to hide. She jumps in the trunk of the car she was working on which is Claudio's car..

12. Connie is looking for Tavo. 2XJosé tells Connie he has no idea of where Tavo is. Maybe he went to breakfast. She suspects he is with THAT hairdresser again and leaves.  2XJosé calls Tavo informing him that Connie is on her way.

13. Choler is telling Tavo that she finally thought that Tavo was no longer afraid of his wife. He says that he tried. She thought that her love would have given him the courage to be happy with her. He gets the call from 2XJosé. He asks how can he leave. Chole says through the front door where all decent people who have nothing to hide leave. He says he is going out the back way.  She thinks that  shows that he has already made up his mind.  He says they will talk later.

14. Chole greets Connie saying it is a pity but they are not open yet. Did she come to get her hair done? Connie thinks she knows very well why she is there. Chole doesn't have an idea. Connie wants to know where her husband is. Chole says if Connie doesn't know how would she Chole know? She asks her to let her work in peace. Connie rolls her eyes and leaves.

15. Mario's lawyer doesn't have good news. There are several charges against him for fraud and the quantity of stolen money is enormous. Mario just wants out of jail. Then lawyer is sorry but hecannot do anything  else for him at this time. Getting him bail for this type of crime is complicated. Maybe when they get in front of a judge he can do something. Mario insists he is innocent. Adrián caused this situation. The lawyer believes him but as a partner in and representative of the finance company, he is respsonsible in the eyes of the law.

16. Tavo goes running back to the garage and warns 2XJosé and Valentina that his wife is coming. Valentina jumps back in the trunk of Claudio's car.

17. Tavo is under the hood of the car when Connie asks him where he has been. He says he has been working on her stepfather's car. She tells him not to lie because she was there. He then says he was out getting parts for it. Claudio said he needed it in hurry. She takes him to the side to talk to him. 2XJosé lets Valentina know they haven't forgotten about her.

18. Tania is packing up files at the office when she gets a call from Natalia  who wants to talk to Mario. Tania tells her that Mario has been arrested.

19. Natalia has to tell her daughters that they threw Mario in jail. Natalia decides she has to leave.  Andrea is not pleased about being left alone there. Natalia tells her that they are good people and to give them a chance. She tells them NOT to leave the house until she gets back.

20. Connie tells Tavo that he left without saying goodbye this morning and she feels very badly about what happened last night. He shrinks from her touch. She realizes that he put himself out to try to make their relationship better by inviting her out to eat, getting all dressed up. It was all perfect until he couldn't do what he needed to do in bed. He asks her to lower her voice so the employees don't hear about their problems. She  is only saying that he took the first step yesterday so now she is going to take the next one today. She wants them to have a free day and go to the club and spend the whole day together. It has been long since they have done that. So, what does he say? He kisses her on the forehead . . .

21. Olga tells Chole that woman must have bewitched Chente some how. Chole cannot believe she is saying that. Olga tells her that woman already owns half the house and Olga thinks she is a snake who going to take the rest of Chente's home away from him.  Hearing that worries Chole. Is that woman so bad? Olga wants to know what she can do to help her Chente. Chole tells her not to get mixed up in Chente's business but they do have to find out what that woman is up to.

22. Valentina is still in the trunk waiting to be sprung.

23. Tavo decides he is going to go with Connie and on the way out runs into Chente who needs JuanGa for something and also has a bill for some auto parts. Tavo has to go back to his office and leaves Connie and Chente together.

24. Connie turns her back on Chente. Chente says that he met her sister, poor woman going through such a difficult time. He asks he why she couldn't have allowed her to stay at her home. Doesn't she have a heart? Connie's house is enormous and family is the most sacred thing we have. Connie says she doesn't have to explain anything to him but Natalia didn't want to accept her help. Chente didn't know that. Connie continues saying, of course, she offered her a place to stay but she refused saying she had "other plans." Chente repeats "other plans" and is clearly  distracted when Tavo returns with the payment. Connie grabs Tavo and they leave.

25. JuanGa asks Chente what's up. Chente says it has something to do with Natalia having told him she had nowhere else to go. JuanGa reminds him  that he told him so.  Chente thinks of himself as a gentleman  man who offers his hand in good faith but he cannot accept lies. He tells his brothers that Natalia has no idea who she is messing with. He tells his brothers to come with him and he will fill them in. They leave and Valentina is still in the trunk. (no inside trunk release in Mexican cars?)

26. Natalia and Tania run in to each other at the jail. Tania fills her in that since Mario is the legal representative of the company there is nothing they can do. Natalia says that Tania worked there so she must know what was going on. All that Tania knows is that Mario is innocent. She wants Mario's passport back so if he can get out on bond, she can get him out of the country right away.  Natalia thinks what he needs to do is prove his innocence. Tania says that isn't going to work because he could spend years in jail. She reminds Natalia that Mario treated her very well and she  might want to return the favor.

27. Claudio picks up his car driving away with Valentina screaming in the trunk as he cranks up the opera.

28. Natalia  refuses to give Tania Mario's passport because him fleeing is not the right thing for him to do.  She tells Tania that the "cure" she is suggesting is worse than the  "illness." Mario is innocent. it will be hard to prove but not impossible. Tania doesn't want to see her brother left in the hands of the judicial system; he will never get out of jail. Natalia tries to explain that if he flees, he will be confirming his guilt. Tania answers  that although he didn't  steal the money, he has the financial responsibility of the finance company and will be found guilty by means of negligence and omission. Tania adds that if Mario ends up rotting away in a cell, Natalia will be responsible.

29. Chente is with his brothers at a lawyer's office. The lawyer informs him that Natalia is the legitimate owner of the property and that Chente committed a very grave error in allowing her to set up residence at the house. The lawyer says if he doesn't get her out of there immediately, he will lose his home. Chente decides that he and his brothers will have to think of some way of getting her out of his house.

30. Back home as Juanjo and 2XJosé wonder what Chente is going to do, Regina and Andrea come downstairs.  Regina is hungry. JuanGa suggests they go out for tacos. Regina is eager to try to be friends and go but Andrea isn't.  JuanGa keeps trying to flirt with her.

31. Claudio arrives back at Connie's. He finally hears Valentina and opens the trunk. She tries to get out but faints in the process.

32. Inside, Teresa us reading her tarot cards. She sees that somebody is on the way but oh! no! They have an accident! She sees the angel of death and insists  that it cannot be! Suddenly, she  hears Claudio screaming that "He killed her." Claudio carries Valentina into the house and places  her on one of the ornate setees. He cries out for help. He fans her with a pillow and tells her to breathe and not to go towards the light.  He decides to give her mouth to mouth respiration when Teresa walks in demanding to know what he is doing.  Claudio tells Teresa he thinks he killed Valentina. No, he didn't run over her. He suffocated her. Teresa doesn't get it so he tries to get her to help Valentina. All Claudio can think about is how his naming to a consul position is going to be in danger because of this. They continue fanning Valentina  with the pillow and holding her hand.  (okay . . .)

33. Chente arrives back at his house and watches his brothers leaving the house with the girls. After they leave, he goes in.

34. Connie and Tavo arrive at their house. Connie wants to do a quick change before they go to the club. Outside as she opens the trunk of her car, Connie overhears  Claudio asking Teresa to tell him that he didn't kill her. Tavo wonders what is going on. Connie says it is Claudio and his clownish antics. Tavo hears him scream that it was an accident and he swears he isn't guilty. Tavo looks concerned as Connie tarries in the trunk of their car.

35. Inside, Teresa tells Claudio that Valentina is still breathing but the strange thing is that she won't wake up. Teresa demands to know what Claudio did and where they were coming  from. Claudio tries to explain how he found her but says they need to call a doctor first. Tavo comes in. He asks what Valentina is doing there. Before any explanation can be given, Connie comes in and wants to know what that woman is doing there.

36. JuanGa has led the girls to a local taco stand with tacos of all kinds local delights including lamb, dried beef, tripe and sausage. Andrea is grossed out but Regina is documenting the food for her social media. Andrea want to leave but Regina tells her they are staying as she is coming up with all sorts of ideas for a report on her media. 2XJosé tells her he saw some of her reports on social media and liked them. Andrea is ready to go back home but nobody has a set of keys on them . . . Andrea tells Regina that they fell in the trap.  The two "herma-NACOS" invited them out to get them out of the house and get rid of them. Nobody denies it.The girls go running back to the house. 2XJosé goes running after  them as JuanGa keeps eating.

37. Back at the house, Chente has packed up all of Natalia's and her family's things and has placed them  outside gate on the street ready to go.  He smiles to himself.

Jarifa, you deftly describe all of the events with such precision and depth, watching is not required. Loved the title.

"Benja asks if Natalia is the angel that Lucía sent them to take care of them. Lucía asks him what his heart says. With a big smile, Benja says his heart says "yes!" He is the sweetest. Ever!

And on the other end of the spectrum is Connie and Tavo.

Tavo has been browbeaten and humiliated by Connie and yet, he allows it to continue. If he leaves, he loses his business. So what? Connie has it now anyway. He starts to tell her off and then submits to her seduction. Life isn't fair but sometimes you make your own purgatory.

If Chloe is smart she will keep him in the friend zone. She is a kind, lovely, pretty woman and deserves so, so much more.

"He smiles to himself". I'm disappointed Chente would believe Connie's lies without even giving Natalia a chance to explain. Packing her up and evicting her out without even talking to her? Disappointing to say the least.

Thanks amiga. Always a wonderful read.

Diana

Jarifa, thank you for a great recap, I very much enjoyed reading it.

That was a really nice dinner to start things off, except for Juanga acting a little naco. But still very nice.

Not quite so nice, but funny in its own way, was the bedroom scene with Tavo and the Ice Queen. But if she thought that posing herself on the bed like that would get Tavo's blood pumping, umm, not so much. I just loved this scene, she got on top of him and pulled his arm around her back. It slipped off and she pulled it back up, a couple of times. Sorry, Tavo, but there just was no escaping that woman. I hope he didn't get frostbite anywhere especially vulnerable, but probably not.

Diana has it right, "Life isn't fair but sometimes you make your own purgatory." Find a way out, Tavo! I absolutely hated to see Chole crying.

Angels! We have more angels! Natalia is an angel too! How wonderful it is to have dreams like this   :-)

Benja is all set now.

Andy

Jarifa: Howdy from the Alamo City. Thank you very much for your recap of last night's episode.

Calculating Connie sounds just right.

Andy: Chickens will be coming home to roost on several of those villains sooner or later.

Diana: Tavo made his bed by being with Connie. He needs to lie in it!

Steve Boudreaux

Oh my God, Jarifa! What a GREAT recap! Thank you.

At this point, I am not sure... WHO do I hate MORE???

A) Andrea

B) Constanta

C) Olga

???!!!

All are equally deserving of the trophy, if you ask me!!! And this isn't including Treacherous Tania and the two Mega-Grifters, Adrian and Veronica, currently enjoying their ill-gotten gains in the Caribbean somewhere...

Really enjoying this novela thus far. I can see why it has been such a big hit in Mexico (5 million viewers the other night- I can not remember the last time this happened! Who said our little genre is dying, friends??? ;-) )

Hi Diana, I just read the comments- YOU have a way with words, my dear!!! :-)

You all might be interested to know that the little guy playing Benjamin is named "Andre Benjamin" and this role should hopefully open some major doors for him and his career, because I've also fallen in love with the little guy already and subsequently fell down a delightful YouTube rabbit-hole where there are some really fun videos of him with Michelle Gonzalez that just make the heart smile.

Steve Boudreaux- you are right about Tavo, but I still feel bad for this quintessential emasculated, hen-pecked, beaten-down, GOOD guy. :-(

But isn't it GREAT to see Chantal Andere back in her element???? God, NOBODY does a BITCH better!!! Though perhaps most famous as 'Angelica' in 'Marimar' and for her villainous roles in 'Destilando Amor' and 'Amor Real', I remember her most vividly for her award winning performance in 'Sentimientos Ajenos' as the TRULY hateful, murderous sister, Leonor, who had an epic end that she truly deserved- trapped unknowingly in a closet and gassed by cockroach exterminators!!!! :-)

Gracias, Jarifa.,

I don't remember whether Chente has previously interacted with Constanza or what he knows about her, Tavo, and Soledad. The unfortunate thing is that when Natalia tries to explain that Constanza lied, he might not believe her for another 10 episodes.

Does Natalia have any friends who can help or did Adrian steal all of their money?

Honestly, Constanza is seriously mental but more effective than Vulga, who is seriously unhinged. Neither of them knows how to take No for an answer.

Andrea gets on my last nerve. She is the epitome of the spoiled, entitled teen. Omar needs to seriously look at her behaviour and head for London to finish his education. After another year he will ask himself "What was I thinking?"

Juanga does behave like a naco. He needs a few lessons on how to interact with women and some etiquette lessons. His hair style isn't helping, either. 2xJuan is already more of a gentleman, probably learning from seeing Juanga's bad example.

Tania is not looking to save Mario. She is intelligent enough to know that Natalia is right about how skipping the country would make him look: he would be arrested at the airport before boarding the plane. What I can't figure out is why she hates Natalia.

Thanks, Jarifa, for the detailed recap to fill in my blanks! When Connie reminded Tavo of not having a child she reminded me of the mean lady in 101 Dalmatians. It was a cartoon but their faces matched. I think it was Cruella.

Urban
I thought Tavo and Chente were friends. If so Chente should know a little bit about the wife.

If I’m remembering correctly, the garage has been in Tavo’s family, which would make it doubly hard to lose. But what an awful marriage to stay in! And the phone call was never mentioned in the apology, so Olga will get away with that. At least Chente put her in her place, for now!

Urban Anthropologist, I hope it’s not 10 episodes to fix Cheney’s rash judgement! Natalia had nowhere to go!

Fortuna

Jarifa, thank you for every dreadful detail . yikes

Uh oh, Tavo couldn't obey cold Connie's command . However,he probab!y instinctually avoided a case of frostbite.

And, of course, we think Nata has found a place to !ive, but Connie bas to lie To Chente. Telenovela vi!lains always have to go that extra nasty mile. So,in addition to Adrian leaving Nat homeless and penniless to fly away with her bff to grift around the world and her sister refusing to give her a place to live , Nat must now deal with nasty Tania and floozy Ol-GAH. Things seemed so promising when Ben warmed so quickly to Nat and the family sat down at the table to share that tasty soup. It made me think of all the Sunday dinners my mother served on the farm With 12 or more of us at the table.

Thanks, everyone, for stopping by the patio!

Diana, “ . . . sometimes you make your own purgatory.” So very true for Tavo and several of these characters. I, also wasn’t happy with Chente being so quick to doubt Natalia. I am chalking up his poor judgment due to his grief. The same goes for Natalia. Neither is 100% “with it.”

Andy, ITA about the bedroom scene especially the “arm” scene you mentioned. Tavo looked like a deer in the headlights. Maybe now he is trying to give his marriage a last “try”, a last “hurrah”, before he decides it is time for a divorce. He better have a bank account in his own name.

Anon, 5 million viewers? Wow! That is really impressive. Just goes to show that they must have kept the plot interesting even as they approach the end. That is certainly good news for us!

Urban, glad I am not only one who cannot stand Andrea. Yes, Omar needs to hightail it back to London ASAP but now since she has “proved her love” to him, I hope she doesn’t end up pregnant.

Liz, loved your comparison to Cruella DeVille! She was only missing the cigarette holder.

Susanlynn, it seems that Natalia cannot catch a break. Come to think of it, Valentina cannot catch a break either ending up unconscious at Connie’s house. I do not even want to think what Connie has in store for her considering your observation that “Telenovela villains always have to go that extra nasty mile.” Yikes!

Wowza JARIFA, thanks for giving us all the Dreadful Details. This was a tough episode to watch. Of course I'm a Certified Wuss and not only want happy endings, but also happy middles and happy beginnings. And it ain't happenin'! But I have to admit at this point, the character who upsets me most is Tavo. True, Costanza knew very well how to guilt him into "trying once more" by begging for a little tenderness, a little affection etc. That's a lot more effective than screaming. But he needs to develop a lot more spine before he'll be worthy of the loving Chole. DIANA really nailed it when she said "Life isn't fair but sometimes you make your own purgatory."

Enjoyed Benji's happy dream, but the rest of the episode was darned stressful. I was hoping our feisty mechanic would just kick out the tail lights to alert others of her presence, but no, she has to end up at the Ice Queen's palace, and still in her mechanic's uniform. Tavo's in trouble again.

And yeah, how disappointing that Chente believed Costanza's bare-faced lie. But then he would. He's a generous guy, gives to the little fella outside even though I'm sure his own budget is quite small. So he'd be incapable of really believing a woman with a huge house would turn away a desperate sister and two equally desperate nieces needing "amparo". Unthinkable!

Oh well. More drama. Glad we can place ourselves in your capable hands m'dear to guide us through this. I'm sure there'll be many vertiginous ups and downs to come, but how nice that it's such a mega-hit in Mexico.

Thanks as always, hard-working lady! Hope you've got some sunshine up in Chicago for a good, brisk March walk.

JudyB, Benja’s happy dream was definitely the highlight. How many episodes until Natalia is back at Chente’s? Not a spoiler, but I think she will end up back there. They can’t break Benja’s heart twice, can they? It is upper thirties and sunny, a beautiful day. You know me so well, I was out at the zoo earlier.

OT Good! We are starved for sunshine. Winter and the pandemic protocols are bad for both mental and physical health so delighted to know that you got out there amiga!

Thanks, Jarifa. Terrific recap. Lots going on and you cover it seamlessly.

Poor Tavo. Diana, loved your comment. He is in his own purgatory. I'm not a man, but I don't get while he feels guilty about not getting his wife pregnant. It's medical, not his fault. Yep, Chole needs to look elsewhere because this poor dog is whipped.

Chente was wrong to jump to conclusions. Still I got a kick out of Chente hurrying his brothers to get the women out and him rushing to roll their little luggage out on the street.

Never thought I'd be rooting for Omar. Can't he see that it's his apartment, not him, that moves Andrea? Twenty years from now she'll be Connie.

OT..we had a nice sunny day. I spent some of tbe day ubering a lovey . My friend refers to me "subering."
Tomorrow snow. Boo.

Niecie...yes .....mean girl progression = Andrea>>>Olga>>>Tania>>>>Connie.
The life cycle of a mean spirit.

Oh...and the Queen of mean vicious Veronica has to be in that evolution.

Susanlynn, "...the Queen of mean vicious Veronica". We absolutely cannot forget her! And I like 'Vicious Veronica', thank you very much.

About the other Mean Girls, I have some hope for Andrea, just because she's so young. I'm hoping a few hard knocks will open her eyes. I have hope for Olga, just because she's so good-looking. I have a smidgen of hope for Tania because I think there might have been a flash of concern for Mario at one point.

Constanza and Vicious Veronica, millstones about their necks and into the ocean... figuratively speaking.

JudyB, "...I'm a Certified Wuss and not only want happy endings, but also happy middles and happy beginnings."

Me too, a 9 PM telenovela is tough for me to take, too much adult fare. Even comments about 9 PM telenovelas are rough. All the concern for the child actor playing Benja had me feeling I was a child abuser once-removed, just for watching the show.

Is Sesame Street still on? I used to like that.

Andy

Pfui! I don't know if Google ate my comment or if I forgot to hit "publish".

Here it is again:

Rats! Google doesn't like something in my comment and I don't have time to play with it.

Andy

Fabulous effort and of course you didn’t miss a trick! Thanks!

Oh, I think I know:

All the concern for the child actor playing Benja had me feeling I was a child ah byu ser once-removed, just for watching the show.

Is Sesame Street still on? I used to like that.

JARIFA, thanks for putting some Spanish in the title also. I was in such a hurry to read the recap, I missed it. ANDY, I enjoyed your comment and hope that RGV CHICK will find a way to restore it. It does come through for people who checked the box for follow up comments to be sent to their email.

RGVchick, thank you for restoring my comments. (I'm assuming it was you.)

Google is getting kind of prissy in its old age, but I think I will just have to live with it. I still don't know what it was that Google thought was so terrible.

I apologize for inflicting essentially the same comment on everybody several times. Luckily it was about time everybody moved on to the next episode.
