Destilando 4/11 - "Have you seen this girl?"

  • Yesterday we left Rodrigo and his wife yelling. "I can't love any woman who isn't Gaviota!" "I'll never give you a divorce!"

After he stamps out she thought-bubbles: "Jimadora, you'll pay for my tears. Don't come back or you'll find out who you're dealing with."

He moves into the guest bedroom: "No more pretending!"

Isadora, in her luxurious bath, thought-bubbles: "I am the wife, that's my weapon."

  • Rod is rivalling Gabe (famous dolt of Mundo de Fieras) in the puzzled, stymied close-ups department. He also resorts frequently to a teeth-revealing snarl of frustration.

Rod used to be a student at Oxford or Cambridge or something, but every drop of blood has drained out of his brain towards the humid zones.

He has assembled a team of seven men, headed by James and historian-boozer Crispin, to go around all the fields in Mexico to find Gaviota.

(Isadora crashes the initial meeting, fruitlessly trying to prevent this project. "I hope you find her dead, that maldita whore!")

Problem is, Rod doesn't have a picture of Gav and, in fact, doesn't know her actual name or her mother's name either. "I just know her as Gaviota! She is Gaviota!" (Someone sagely remarks: "Hmm, that's gonna slow things down.")

Rod's IQ has plummeted to a barely measurable level. He gets out his magic marker and scribbles a picture of her and they show it around in various locations. Mute extras stand awkwardly and shake their heads, no, we haven't seen her. James points out they're seeking an aguja en un pajar (a needle in a haystack).

  • Meanwhile, of course, Gaviota and mom have gone to Mexico City, carrying their paddles. They do some sightseeing, pray to the Virgin to find them a place to live, and, after dragging their butts around for hours (this is no way to treat your ma who is recovering from typhoid fever), are befriended by a stranger who helps them find a room.

Clarita can't imagine what kind of work Gav will find, but Gav reminds her: "I learned a lot from the nun." She dresses up extremely nicely! She gets a newspaper and starts looking for work but everybody wants to see her papers, documents she doesn't have, and recommendations from previous jobs. They are not impressed that she speaks "English, French, and a little German."

Gav hocks or sells their agave paddles, which grieves Clarita ("so many memories"). Gav says they'll never work in the fields again. There are discussions of the way their lives are mirroring the telenovelas - the rich guy falling for the poor girl, the poor girl going to the city to get rich...

With the money they get from the paddles they buy - fabric for curtains? Questionable choice in my opinion, food might have been a better choice.

Luckily, in short order kindly neighbor Doña Jose says: "I'll take you to the hotel where I work," gives a personal recommendation, and Gav gets hired as receptionist over the objections of the personnel manager. (The hotel manager: "Where are we gonna find somebody as sexy as this?")

They window-shop at a wedding store and Gav thought-bubbles: "I'll never wear a wedding dress."

  • SanWanna is gossiping to Roman, Hilario and the mom about Rod's move into the guest bedroom. "Stop gossiping, stop meddling, and stop wearing the Missus's perfume." Roman warns Hilario: "I know you're going out with SanWanna, don't let it affect your work." The oversexed vixen, she grabs Hilario again! Is this subplot ever going to amount to anything?

  • Aaron is kissing his secretary. She is wearing a spandex business suit, I didn't know you could buy those!

Phone rings, it's Minerva with the latest gossip about Rod.

Then Aaron fires the secretary. Then a guy named Videgaray does an 'as you know' with Aaron: "Aaron, as you know, you've fired four secretaries in a month." "None of them meet my standards of being intelligent, competent, able to divine my every intention, and incredibly attractive."

Then they discuss the fact that Isadora's father, owner of the textile business, is in terrible financial difficulty. Aaron figures this will be useful information.

Minerva and Aaron go to Granny's house (Sofia is there too) and thoroughly rat out Rodrigo. Granny is aghast: Rod loves a fieldworker who was also a whore in Europe, and he wants to divorce his wife? Never!

Aaron is deputized to call Rod and get him back to Mexico City on some business pretext. Granny says "if he divorces, it puts all our fortunes in jeopardy." (I don't know why.) They also discuss the Duarte's financial difficulties.

Later Granny thought-bubbles to her dead husband Amador: "Oh no, why this same cruel story again? I know that long ago a jimadora stole your affections, and now your grandson too!"

  • Isadora asks Hilario to get her a horse. He waves her past Rodrigo's horse, saying it's half wild, but while he's off getting her a more suitable one, she's up on the bronco and away.

Hilario gets his dad and they pursue in the truck. They see the horse galloping off and find Isadora on the ground with a picturesque little streak of blood on her forehead. They carry her home and get the doctor.

When the doctor is feeling her robust pulse, Isa's eyes snap open. She tells him she faked the whole thing and wants him, the doctor, to tell everybody she's seriously hurt. "But I'm an actual real doctor!" he splutters. She holds cash in front of his face and it clears his conscience. He tells everybody she's quite hurt and Rod is summoned home from his supremely stupid project.

Isa pirouettes in front of the mirror thinking: "My false accident will put you in my power!" Minerva and Aaron show up. Trophy Whore Barbie hops back into bed, assumes a sickly expression, and complains: "You guys deceived me, you told me I was the first woman in his life, but it wasn't true, there was Gaviota!" Aaron: "It took us all by surprise." They promise to help her.

  • We conclude with Gaviota pouring over a bunch of old books - "my treasures" - in the dark apartment. She plans to study accounting and business and eventually be a corporate executive. (Hey, I just recap, I didn't invent this stuff.)

Her mom asks for a song but Gav says, "No, singing reminds me of the mezcalaras and they remind me of Rodrigo and his betrayal. Part of my heart is dead and until that feeling passes I can't sing."

Yep...Rod on the quest to find the woman of his vida, whose name he doesn't know, but hey he can draw her! No time for exchanges of names and emails and addresses or phone numbers or plans etc. Lets be real romantic and meet up in Spring.

TWB..classic...but I feel bad in a way for her.. She is now useless. all her hopes. Why didnt Rod just get a lawyer and offer her a settlement? Why give her a chance to plot? dumb dumb dumb.

Gaviota has the luck, a tour of Mexico City, quickly finding a pad.. complete with a home library and getting a job. Is being Guapa something you can put on your resume? The boss seems like he might be touchy feely later. Gross. I cant believe he used that as an excuse to his personnel manager. No wonder she was harping so hard, he probably undoes anything she tries to do.

Excellent recap & very very speedy..Now then TWB, is just sooooo over the top, Nagging, her voice hit decibels that endangered my IQ...

Pilar damn I thought Marcia didn't blink, but Pilar beats her hands down...My husband says she has to sleep in a dark room cause she can't close her eyes.

Nice to see "wound too tite" Sofie and her little pinched face.

Hey I know the neighborhood where Gavi living in Mx City..We could tell by the Bascilica in the background..my aunt-in-law has three little restuarants on a street 3 blocks from there. It is okay, I mean I have walked around by myself there, but it is kinda dicey..Anyway if Clarita & Gavi wandered over there they could get some serious food on the cheap.

Never Never Never again compare TWB to Marcia...the fall off the horse and bribe the doctor...well nuff said and this is after marrying a guy 5 days ago that said nada nooki...

My LOL moment..TWB on Aaron because they said TWB was the first woman in Rod's life, Aaron thought bubbling, "I woulda sworn he was gay".

Rod has replaced Fer for me, I am so over Fer and sleezy & possibly psychotic Aaron has replaced my love of Omar...the LFMB boys are kicked to the curb.

Now I pray to the entire Holy Family & all 365 of the calendar saints, to NOT let that italian guy from France show up and become the ghost of Aldopast.

Oh yeah one more thing, I think all those people you saw Rod speaking to were just regular people. My cousin's husband was in a TeleNovela (I think it was that one were the lady had colored hair), he did business in Mexico City and they were in the background in a Hotel scene, they ask them if they cared and they said no sooooooo the rest is history.

Melinama, darn you are speedy! And a really enjoyable recap..... I said before that I thought Rod must have bought his way into that doctoral program with Grampy's dinero and tonight proves it: "Duh, I don't know her name, it is just plain GAVIOTA-A-A!!" Even James was shaking his head when he heard that answer, and that is saying something! Dumb and Dumber Jalisco-style. Sheesh!
--Seriously I could have sworn she told him somewhere along the way at least once it was "Teresa Hernandez but everybody just calls me Gaviota."

Somebody asked if there was a translation of Gaviota's song. I couldn't find one. I am not a poet, but I think this is a fair, bare bones translation. It's late and I may have read something wrong when translating. Correct it if something stands out. Anyway, it should be close enough to get the idea.....

Seagull, who sees a far distance, flies very high
Seagull, who embarks on flight is not restrained.

Don't stop, sad seagull, continue your song. Perhaps tomorrow your luck might change.

It is her fate that a harmful love
must dress her heart in black sorrow

Thankless love, broke her wings,
Unfaithful love, tarnished her dreams

One day I saw that Seagull go past
She was carrying loneliness between her wings

Sad Seagull, she silenced her song,
She left her nest, She left her nest. Sad Seagull, I saw you go past.

It is her fate that a harmful love
must dress her heart in black sorrow

Thankless love, broke her wings,
Unfaithful love, dirtied her dreams
================
Gaviota, que ve a los lejos, vuela muy alto.
Gaviota, que emprende vuelo, no se detiene.
No te detengas, triste gaviota, sigue tu canto,
tal vez mañana cambie tu suerte.
Es su destino que un mal amor
vista su alma de negro duelo.
Ingrato amor, rompió sus alas,
ingrato amor, manchó sus sueños (bis).
Un día a esa Gaviota yo vi pasar,
llevaba entre sus alas la soledad.
Triste Gaviota, calló su canto,
dejó su nido, dejó su nido,
triste Gaviota, te vi pasar.
Es el destino que un mal amor
vista su alma de negro duelo.
Ingrato amor, rompió sus alas,
ingrato amor, manchó sus sueños. //

Thanks for the quick recap Melinama and the translation of the song Jardinera.

I agree with Beckster while Marcia on LFMB has been a harpie, she is not to be compared with TWB. Marcia and Fernie played house for four years and it must stink to watch it all go up in smoke. Now TWB is another matter. I may have felt some pity for her but as someone pointed out yesterday she was only nice b/c she believed she could manipulate Rod to love her. And I'm completely leary of someone who "loves" a man and agrees to marry him but they won't have sex. I know marriage isn't just about sex but its that supposed to be one of the benefits of the institution. And since we know TWB/Ice thinks she is all that, we know she was not planning on being celibate for the duration of her marriage. She went from wronged woman/someone I could feel sorry for to manipulative hussy in 16.3 seconds.

And since Jardinera was so great to translate Gavi's song could someone translate (or point me to a website to find the translation of) the opening song? I really like it as well. The music in some of these novelas is great too. Domingo singing Alborada's theme song, M. A. Solis singing Mundo's and now this one. Thanks in advance.

Karen, ('cause it's been driving me crazy, too) I pulled this off from somewhere. This was all I could get of it, but, yeah, somebody must have the whole thing for sure to give us.....

=========
Walled in by silence and indifference
about things that the heart does not forget
life would want me in a thousand pieces (?)
when your memories torment my mind
I would want to invent a lie for myself that
whatever we had together was love for us
what was a horrible joke of fate....was a mistake

(that's where the lyrics stopped)

Great recap, Melinama--thanks! My husband walked through the room last night and said he felt sorry for TWB (he's seen only a few minutes of the novela here and there). I brought him up to speed on the plot line. LOL. I was worried that Gav would get a job as an assistant for Aaron (I suppose it could still happen--and if she goes by her real name, how would he know who she is?). I think she'll do the same as Nora did in Amarte es mi Pecado (start out poor and end up rich and famous).
Jardinera--muchos gracias for the traducciones!
LindaT.

Nothing like a staged fall from the saddle to get a woman p*****off..

What a "dog" is Aaron..One minute liplocked with the receptionist, the next she's out the door.

This show is fast pace and moving on..Love it..

Roman's wife was really motherly when she saw Rodrigo dejected on the stairs. Hmmmm.

Also, here is the "tema musical" words on the esmas.com site. I have just been studying Spanish for two weeks so my translation is too pitiful to share. I ordered the telenovela CD off of eBay several days agao and can hardly wait to get it!

Por amarte
(Destilando amor)

Fueron tus labios
los que llenaron de calor
cada momento
y han sugerido que tu y yo
siempre volvamos
para amarnos
a pesar del tiempo.

Fueron tus besos
quienes ataron la pasión
que llevo dentro
me hicieron arder el corazón
porque ya no te tengo
hoy sólo quiero
verte de nuevo.

Aunque tenga
que morir en el intento.

Por amarte
de mi vida haré un camino
hasta encontrarte
porque te llevo conmigo
hasta en la sangre
destilando amor
cada día por amarte.

Fueron tus manos
las que atraparon nuestra historia
en un momento
y me han dejado
persiguiendo tu recuerdo
enloqueciendo
por verte de nuevo.

No me importaría
morir si no te tengo.

Por amarte…

LindaT..Your thoughts on Gavi getting the job at Montalvos now that Aaron has butted his receptionist to the curb are mine as well. Gavi will be moving on and moving up. She learned four languages while she was laid up in Londres. That's our Gavi..I wish I could learn Espanol that fast..I think I need the nuns in Londres, instead of Rosetta Stone..MO

Great recap!! Thank you Jardinera and Kathy for the translations of the songs. My mom mentioned the other day that alot of the old songs in Mexico have birds names in them. I also remember a novela a while back called "Alondra" which was pretty good.

Yep...TWB is the wife from hell...didn't take too long. But I think another reason she won't divorce our Rod is because, other than being obsessed with him, her family is in "la ruina" so she needs the money.

Beckster, love the comment about Pilar...your husband is right!!!She has definitely had too many surgeries cause her eyes look scary!!!!-becky t.

I don't know if you guys have discussed this before since i am not on every day, but for those of you interested in AGAVE, below is an explanation:
Tequila is made from distilled sap from hearts (piñas) of the agave or maguey (pr. 'mah-gay') plant. This plant is actually related to the lily and amaryllis (it has its own genus, Agave). It is known as a succulent and, although it shares a common habitat with many cacti, it is not one itself and has a different life cycle. A mature agave has leaves 5-8 feet tall, and is 7-12 feet in diameter. It has a lifespan of 8-15 years, depending on species, growing conditions and climate. The name agave comes from the Greek word for 'noble.
No Mexican alcoholic drink is made from cactus. However, cactus is used in some fruit drinks, salads and other food items.

Thanks, Melinama~~~I had another enjoyable breakfast in the agave fields while reading your excellent witty recap. As for Gavi's language abilities, it takes YEARS to become fluent enough in a language to be able to work as a translator or teacher. As for her dream of becoming a CEO, it reminds me of my students [18...barely graduated from high school, no study skills, ADD] who tell me on the first day of class that they intend to become pediatricians. I always thought bubble [''good luck with that,,,let's start by learning some vocabulary and grammar.''] I agree that the maid seems very motherly towards Rodrigoooo. And who was that jimadora gramps had the affair with?...Clarita? Clarita's mommy? As for TWB choosing Rodrigooo's horse , perhaps she thought it was the next best thing ...''if I can't ride old Rod, I'll ride his horse.'' It looks like she will be a very nasty adversary. Why do AAron and Minnie care what TWB wants, or who Rodrigooo wants ??? Shouldn't their goal be to keep Rodrigooo varonless???? If they somehow help TWB keep Rod, and she somehow manages to get pregnant by someone and give birth to a varon, won't that be bad for them? Why did Grandma say that Rorigooo's divorce would affect all their financial futures? WHY? I enjoyed Rod's artistic talents. It made me think of Angel's portrait of Floralina with the squinty little eyes. Perhaps, Rod will start wearing scarves and coughing...please...NO...I like him robust, healthy, and scarfless. As for the music, I am a little tired of the ''Gaviota Song'' , but I like the opening theme song. p.s. Is Gavi's new neighbor the maid from ''Heridas'' who got scared to death by old Lucas???^^^susanlynn

I can see it now, for the next six months we will endure TWB hopping into her wheelchair whevener anyone comes near. And then the great moment when Rodrigoo catches her dancing the fandango and realizes that she's been ok all the while.
Maybe Roman's wife was little Rodrigoo's nanny when he was little. (Was he ever little?)
I love this story and it clears my pallet after gagging on Fea.

Carole~~~Just read your post from yesterday's recap. As for your questions about Eduardo, you can get a lot of information and photos of him at this website --http://www.eduardoyanez.cjb.net/ I agree that he might go to the gym , but that build is in his genes. ~~~susanlynn

Sorry, I meant to say palate.

Thanks so much Jardinera and Kathy!!

Karen

Would Jardinera or some other very nice person please translate the Spanish words to Por Amarte I posted earlier? I don't have Spanish grammar and idiom down yet.

I don't know. There may be domestic violence in Isa's future if she milks her fake illness too long.

Yes, Susalyn! Right on! I thought she looked and sounded vaguely familiar. She was the maid that Bertha shot on the stairs- what the heck was her name?

REMINDER: BLOG MOM IS REMOVING ALL COMMENTS PERTAINING TO ACTORS' PRIVATE LIVES. I consider these to be SPOILERS and have asked before that people NOT POST THEM. If you want to gossip about actors' private lives, do it elsewhere (telenovela-world perhaps). Thanks.

i believe rod's granny said that rod's divorce would affect their fortuna, because if he divorces isa will get a big chunk (if not half) of it... of course, i am assuming rod went the whole nine yards: got married on the 21st of may, in a church (not just civil), and no prenup....

i LOVED the part where rod was trying to explain to the workers what gavi looks like: "...she's got big eyes, and when she smiles it's like the sunshine in the morning..." and then james's reaction...LOLLL

I can't believe a civil divorce in this case would be that difficult..in MX money talks, he could buy a divorce...They have been married like five days, there are no children..Surely the Giant Tequila firm has a team of attorneys..Just get the job done, beside her father would be happy with a cash settlement. TWB, is the type that may cost you something now..but the longer is goes, the more it is gonna cost.

Melinama, great recap, thanks! Heh heh, humid zones, I love it when you say that.

Susanlynn, thanks for the ID on Gavi's neighbor, it was driving me crazy wondering where I had seen her before. The HR Mgr. also looked familiar. Was she one of Doña Jacinta's gossip-monger pals on Barrera?

I laughed out loud when Rod started showing his pencil sketch of Gavi to the workers. Dude, you have GOT to be kidding. And yeah, I don't understand why the marriage can't be dissolved pronto, but then we wouldn't have much of a story line I guess.

Even though Rod's silliness (duh, don't know her name, don't have a picture, here's a bad drawing) made me sputter with laughter, I'm such a sap he had me with "her eyes look like sunshine in the morning." Gosh, I sound kind of easy, don't I? Well, it wouldn't take much from that hunk of burnin' love.

I'm another one who thought Gavi would end up as Aaron's assistant. It would have been a huge stretch at this point, (not that that ever stopped telenovela writers) but maybe in the future after she acquires some high-level executive skills from her hotel receptionist job...

Yes, I ,too, thought that Gavi was going to end up working for AAron. I saw the nice neighbor/Heridas maid on Youtube in scenes from ''Maria del Barrio''---she played a very big, scary-looking prison matron. I'm sure Gavi is going to make it big in the Mexico City business world despite her lack of an MBA. Maybe she'll get a job with Banco Santandar doing translations for their New York City offices. ~~~Susanlynn

Sylvia~~~I agree ''her eyes are like sunshine in the morning'' sounds great. But...Do any real hombres actually say things like this when they are describing their girl to other guys? I think.......no. More like, ''Man , she has bulging breasticles!!!!''^^^^Susanlynn, just saying

I have a degree in Catholic Theology, and although I know nothing about civil divorces in Mexico, I do know about Catholic annulments. Rod and TWB qualify for that. With the marriage never having been consumated there never was a marriage. Sex is an important part of a marriage. With Rod and TWB both going into the marriage knowing that there would be ample grounds for an anullment and no room for contesting it. I don't know if the Church is different in Mexico, but my husband and I had to go through about 6 months of prenuptial classes before we could get married. I would have paid money to skip those...

Yeah, but on the annullment part wouldn't both have to say there was no doin the deed...cause I can't imagine TWB will fess up..

Becky, I was thinking the same thing.

So Gavi will become a huge success whereas Rod will have a miserable marriage.

But if she has already told people, before and after the marriage that he said no snuggle bunny stuff wouldn't Aaron want to come forward at least to help himself out in inheriting the hacienda.

Nah..bout Aaron, haaa like at the beginning when he gets that cigar jerked outta his mouth, yeah I'm easy, that always makes me laugh. The guy has run thru 4 sex-ateries in 4 weeks..plus I'm willing to bet he will makes some kind of Financial FU, sooo Aaron will have lots on his lap and plate...You know he is just BSC, ready to cut loose..there is something off with Aaron...though that does not mean I don't appreciate his slimy ways.

I bet Gavi will meet someone very inportant being the receptionist in a beautiful hotel like that (at least it appears to be a 1st class-luxury-type hotel) but that horrendous HR person is going to make her life miserable- I just have that feeling! I think her character was too exaggerated, though. I mean don't you just HATE it in these telenovelas when someone acts totally unforgiveable and the other person much higher up on the scale, just sits there and says nada! OY!

No doubt that it takes at least a year of living in a country before you can speak with any level of fluidty but a job as a receptionist in a hotel is perfect for using your smattering of other languages-. This is the absolute perfect job for a gorgeous young lady with elegance, intelligence, beautiful smile, great attitude and knowledge of 3 most important languages for travelers.

SUSANLYNN!!! Pay attention now, I just read that Fernando Colunga will be in Carla Estrada's pirate telenovela "Pasion." Yipppeeee!!!

Hi Sylvia,

Ohhhhh. I hope you are right. I can't wait to see Don Luis/Fernando again!! Thanks for the info.

Karen

SYLVIA^^^WOWEEWOW^^^ I read your other post about ''Pasion'' , but I did not realize that this was Carla's pirate movie!!! YEAHHHHHHH Did someone post a long time ago that Adela Noriego was in it? She and Fernando had great chemistry in ''Amor Real.'' I know that someone posted that Sebastian Rulli was in it. I wonder who else. If I could choose, I would love to add Marcelo Cordova [Marcos] , the guys who played Felipe and Vincente in Alborada, and , of course, the ever faithful Ernesto Laguardia. But, one mustn't be greedy. If we have Fernandito...that is enough. ^^^susanlynn, raising her glass and going to try to get into those sites you listed

Wow, I was excited to read that Fernando announced he plans to be in Pasion! I read that Adela Noriega is supposed to be in Pasion but she is working out some personal issues, Carla Estrada hopes she can be in it because she (carla) hasn't planned for anyone else to fill the spot. Sebastien Rulli will play a blacksmith, half-dressed and glistening with sweat I hope.

Susanlynn, if you have a problem with the second link just go the the telenovela world site:
http://www.telenovela-world.com/
and click onto "Main Forum." There is a recent post titled "Pasion Cast Updates - Updated." I didn't see Ernesto on the list, darn it.

Thanks for the site , Sylvia. The only name I recognized in the cast besides Fernando, Adela, and Sebastian was Mariana Karr [Tia Isabel from ''alborada.'' ~~~Susanlynn, overstimulated and needing to calm down by watching ''Duelo'' which always puts me into a kind of stupor

OMG, wait until my friends at work hear that Fernando Colunga will be in Pasion. I do not like Adela Noriega that much (she always poses with her hand daintily positioned under her chin), but I don't know of another actress.

The new neighbor was Thomasa (killed by dog Lucas).

LindaT

Ok. Here is a rough translation of "Por Amarte". I never have studied Spanish or French poetry/lyrics and am not a Spanish scholar so bear with me.

Your lips were those which ardently filled each moment
and have suggested that in spite of time you and I must
forever return to love each other again .

Your kisses were those which tied down
the passion that I carry inside. They obliged my heart to enflame,
because I do not have you any more,
today I want only to see you again.

Even though I must die in the trying.

Because of loving you I will make of my life a journey
until finding you
Because I carry you with me even in my blood
Exuding love each day because of loving you

Your hands were those which captured our story in a moment
and left me pursuing your memory,
driving me mad for the sake of seeing you again.

It wouldnot matter my dying if I do not have you

Because of loving you......

Jardinera---Wow---very romantic. Now THAT'S a love song.

Susanlynn et al, glad the translations seemed sensical if not truly lyrical..... maybe in the next life.

I found the DA cd on ebay and cannot wait to hear it. It should run a respectable "$12.99 and shipping costs. I don't understand why nobody else has it available on line yet.

Ok, the translation for the song that ended last night's episodio had a couple of typo's and since I have it taped I will try to get the correction and the rest of it for you guys who wanted it. Sorry, but grabbing stuff off the net can be a pain.......

Jardinera, thank you very much for the time you put into the translations. The songs are beautiful and so much more meaningful now that I know what's being said. I'm glad you found the CD on E-bay. We have been trying to get it at work, maybe we'll look on eBay. I've seen it listed on several CD/music sites but so far it's always "unavailable" with no notice of when it will be available.

Thanks, Sylvia. I'll post it on the Thursday recap.

But i remember when we used to be able to play it right from the univision site under TEMA MUSICAL. They've even gotten rid of that now? Darn!

Well, I guess we can't ask for everything. Sebastian Rulli turns me off. Adela Noriega is gorgeous--almost too perfect looking but does have good chemistry with Colunga (amor real!!!). And aren't we lucky to have that TIA ISABEL? She is such a talented actress with such amazing carisma and personality (kind of the opposite of adela).

Thanks so much for the translation Jardinera and again for the lyrics earlier.

All the best,
Karen

Just got my Destilando Amor CD (songs from the telenovela) and am listening to it now. It's excelente! Ordered it on Monday from this eBay seller: uabc( 3626). Gaviota must have a lot of singing in her future as there are lots of songs by her (Angelica)that haven't been on the show yet. :) Thanks Jardinera for the Por Amarte translation!
