I hope to watch the Pirates show. And I would be happy to volunteer for subbing. I would try recapping again in the future if a better show comes along.

I really admire the recappers on this site, and I can't imagine watching mis novelas without all of you. Maybe in the future I'll get my courage up to try my hand at it.

It's not a problem. I needed a break from Duelo but now I'm ready to go. I can already see that recapping this novela is going to be a different kind of challenge. They talk faster and use a lot more Mexican slang, which I am unfamiliar with. Also this novela has had some unpredictable twists. It's a lot easier to get the gist from the action when it is predictable. I'll be grateful for the help and we may need a return to the vocabulary lists!

I probably won't be able to get the recap up by Monday night most of the time but have blocked out time Tuesday morning to finish and post.
 

O.K. Melinama (deep breath) I'll give it a shot for this Tuesday. I'm already having nightmares thinking Murphy's Law will strike and my TV, VCR (yes, I'm still in the Dark Ages) or temperamental Internet server will malfunction. I'll do my best but I feel like the baby sister to the real recappers!

Yes, Jestena, after the off the cuff recap you wrote for me last week, you'll be fine. That day especially should also let you know that any technical difficulties will be forgiven, my own technical issues are what made me need your input that time. Welcome aboard and welcome back Margaret!

I too would like to add my sincere thanks to Amy and NinaK for all their great recaps. You both will be missed, but I can certainly understand being too busy to keep up with it. I appreciate all the recappers on this blog site so much for all the time they take out of their busy lives to do this with no compensation except our thanks. I don't know how I got hooked on Spanish language novelas as I don't even speak Spanish (my friends and family think I'm kind of nuts!) but I really do get sucked into the stories and I have learned a lot of words but I wouldn't understand half of what is going on if it weren't for all of you. Also a big shout out to Margaret and Jestena for stepping into the breach - that's awfully nice of you. I am really enjoying this novela so much but find the story much more difficult to follow than either Duelo or Heridas so I have to admit I've come to rely quite a bit on the recaps to fill in the blanks.

Jestena, I just got back home and saw that you're going to join our cozy little group. You did such a good job stepping in for Ferro, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Remember, all of us are here to improve our Spanish skills and if you're not clear on an exchange, don't be afraid to ask. I've had to do that quite a bit with this show.
