Fuego en la Sangre - 3 June, Tues. - Doesn't Anyone Sleep at Home Anymore?

I am your substitute recapper tonight in Ferro's place. Welcome to the CarayCaray asylum, let's go look for Grandpa!

Back at the dispensary we get to relive the tender scene between Oscar and Juan. You can read Julie's detailed description which only leaves me pondering how a three fingered hand can make a mighty fist. Even Mickey Mouse can make a four fingered fist. sheeesh. They pledge to be united until death separates them, just like wedding ceremonies used to say. But not to fuss on details. They end by laughing at their man-love crying and Oscar tells Juan he is crying like an old woman. He used vieja and then mujer just to make sure we got the joke.

At the hacienda, Feo Fernado has managed to arrange his happy face and bursts into Gabriela's bedroom to act enthused that Sofia has been found safe and sound. Gabriela morosely crosses herself (just in case someone has a hidden camera pointed into her bedroom) in thanks, sort of...

One of the sisters welcomes Sofia back to the convent expressing more joy at her reappearance than Gabi did. She goes off to spread the glad tidings as Sofia stays back for a moment with Franco to thank him for getting her home safely. Franco lays it out that Juan asked a favor of him which is to tell her not to come see him tormorrow. Why not? Well the gossip (chismes). Sofia protests that she can't not go see how Juan is doing but Franco in a rare grownup moment asks her to be aware of Juan's position. He doesn't want people taking.

OOPS, SORRY FOLKS, Interrupted here for the election results and projections, but back to our exciting drama. If anyone got this gap filled in, feel free to add it in the comments.

In New Mexico we zoom back in to Eva announcing Padre Tadeo's arrival downstairs to Gabi and Feo who are both still in Gabi's bedroom (this suegra-yerno-love threat has me worried still). Feo boldly criticizes the Padre's meddling in her affairs too much. Judging and giving her his opinions about being more liberal.

Over a bedroom or two Jimena memory flashes Sofia's and Juan's kissing scene at the dispensary. The tawdry lighting scheme tips us off to her distaste and shock. She realizes Sofia has a right to be happy, but she is being so unjust to Feonando. Eva and Sarita burst into the room. Eva announces that Padre Tadeo has come to see Gabi so they took the opportunity to use the key to come see her. Sarita wants to know what Jimena knows: Jimena wants to know if they know about Juan and Sofia KNOWING each other. Actually she said, do you two know that Sofia and Juan are in love with each other? Sarita makes her predictable eeeewwww face.

Downstairs, Padre is chiding Gabi to be more understanding with the girls but she turns on him with no, you are the one who needs to understand, I've always been a good woman, a good wife, an excellent mother. and, no one has the right to judge me, to reproach me. I am pious, charitable, always disposed to help others, to have compassion for my neighbor. [Ed note: I faithfully recorded this impressive list so I could practice fiction and fantasy writing]. She doesn't need his counsel, but Padre insists that she may repent [more fantasy practice here] He says if she thinks she can remove him from her and her family, she cannot do it.

Back to the girls, errrrr young women, errrr women of a certain age: Sarita cannot understand how Sofia could be involved with this Bricklayer! You must be crazy, she says to Jimena, how can this be? Eva speaks up to say she already knows this is true. Now she doesn't have to hide it anymore since they know too, Juan and Sofia love each other. The three stand looking muy impactada.

Padre strides down the walk way from the hacienda and our antihero, Feo jumps out from behind a bush (ever ready to chase another skirt) to menace our Padre, to be sure they don't really need him or his opinions. But Padre says works in obscurity always come into light. He tells Feo that he is not fooled by him and further he is sure it was he who attacked Sofia. A giggling Feo snorts through his cigar and asks Padre if he has proof, and also answers for him, Nooooo, snort, puff... Padre asks him if he remembers that he revealed the perversity in his heart. Feo retorts that Padre is sworn not to reveal secrets of confession. More cigar smoke seals the deal, the threats are all out on the table.

A chastely dressed Sofia prepares her meager bed in the convent and crawls in it to smile knowingly at her candles. She gets to relive her passion with Juan and even to warm her fingers dangerously near the candle wax while she muses how much she loves Juan and now he is hers. While he watches the moon and has his own passion memories repeating the same words of how Sofia is his and they are now one, their love is forever.

Before we get too sappy about this let's check in on the BadLove Bar and hear Rosario' new little ditty. I can't exactly make out the words but the dance steps are already familiar and no one seems to mind anyway. She has a new sparkly costume that matches her chandelier earrings and hair clasp, so who cares! In her room, Franco jumps out to surprise and kiss her. Franco tells her the story of how Sofia and Juan are back after the horrible ordeal and attack and subsequent rescue. Rosario wants to know who it was, but Franco tells her the wretches were masked. He then wants to know if she is annoyed with him. She says it depends... He then surprises us all with the straight forward news, delivered while he nuzzles and fondles her, that he was at the hacienda to serenade Sarita. She jumps like she touched a hot stove. BREAK

Well why did you go to sing to Sarita? she snaps. He says he didn't now she would be so annoyed. As her jealousy soars, she asks if he would like it if she was with another man, isn't it like that (I don't think many men would get this answer right, bless them). She shouts at Franco she wants to know what he is doing is he tricking her or what. Does he love her or not. Bravely, he says he loves her with all his heart but he doesn't know what he feels about Sarita. Rosario yells for him to get out she is so angry and jealous.

Over at the church, Padre is rethinking Feo's threatening advice to be very careful, very careful, that he cannot reveal the secret of confession. Padre in the midst of jerky camera movements and threatening, throbbing music, assures himself that it must have been Feo who attacked Sofia this second time and it must have been Feo who shot Juan for trying to save her.

Feo and Gabi in her bedroom where all good talks take place, assures Gabi that she has nothing to regret. He repeats the litany of her virtues of piety etc back to her. Never mind about Padre and his criticisms, you need to put him in his place, he declares. Gabi smiles a rare deep smile at this suggestion.

Again the brothers at the dispensary are sharing good humored banter as they hear little brother's tale of being hurled out of Rosario's room in her jealous indignation at his confession. In his most intelligent speech yet, Franco declares that he doesn't understand women. When you try to tell them the truth that they say they want to hear, you get into more trouble. Oscar pretends to know more and acts like he knows how to dominate a woman. Juan grins and says dominate or to be dominated. How's it going with Jimena by the way? Oscar tells that he has asked Jimena to marry him. And then, says Juan. Well, says Oscar, she said yes. Oscar muses that he wants Jimena has all that he wants, beauty, tenderness, happy like me and her EYES, her eys are morning starts that light up my whole soul. OHHHHHH say the brothers.

Parallel discussion with Sarita, Jimena and Eva centers on Sofia's love of Juan. Sarita always the conservative voice declares that Sofia is not free. Jimena says that with the heart, no one can command love. Sarita again point out that Feo doesn't deserve to be betrayed, but just when his name is spoken, he appears and wants in on the conversation. They sputter while we go to BREAK.

We return to see Granpa Augustin being tucked in by Sor Ratita. Augustin thanks her for defending him from the quack doctors (matasanos). Sor Rati wants to know if he has any family. Yes he has a daughter but she is who made him come here. He also has three granddaughters, his treasures. Sor Rati promises to help him and they say good night. Augustin has his round of sweet memories.

The sputtering sisters cover pretty well as they tell Feo they were talking about how worried he was for Sofia and, and, well for all that has happened.. He grandly announces that even if it mortifies them he has decided to let Sofia stay at the convent a little while more to reflect on things and then he will seek her out to bring her back to the hacienda. Eva steps in to counsel Feo to leave well enough alone before it becomes worse. He could preserve the peace... but NO, Gabi being very crabby comes in to put Eva in her place as nothing but a servant. Eva leaves cowed while Gabi continues to lecture that Eva is nothing but an employee and they are not to treat her like a human being for any reason. Feo takes the opportunity to catch a little feel, (really just a brotherly hug?) on Jimena and ask Gabi if she can't free Jimena from her punishment. Gabi refuses even his request to stop her tormenting ways. But no, Gabi insists that JImena will realize this is all for her own good and she will thank her mother later. (so we move from fantasy to psychotic hallucinations.)

Eva prays to Bernardo in his chapel since no one else listens to her. She asks him to protect her daughter, his daughter and to help her discover if her dear daughter really is Rosario. A not so dear and certainly not sweet Rosario is throwing a rare hissy fit about the perfidy of Franco. Her assistant Ofelia comes in and confronts her with the truth that at least Franco is telling her the truth. (Spare us the "you can't handle the truth" speech) Perhaps it would be best if she kept away from Franco for a bit while she figures out how she really feels. (How the BadLove goon squad has gone silent for her to have this much of a life, almost an episode, let alone act out these little dramas in her dressing room is beyond me).

Franco is confused. He asks Oscar if he knows how much he loves Rosario but he is so undecided. Oscar is waxing very philosophic with this episode and tells him that the heart can speak to us but we don't always listen to it. For some reason he pulls Juan's beard, which brings nothing more than a slap in the air, then continues that Franco needs to do something for himself. and he owes it to both Rosario and Sarita to choose one, they deserve it. Oh girls, Franco sighs heavily.

The stern Sarita is penning another quill letter in her darkened room, but at least admitting feelings of love and allowing for the love Sofia has for Juan. She cries on about her love for Franco even though she knows he feels nothing for her. Her heart will remain cold and dry even more than before (just like Gabi, but Gabi wouldn't admit it). Then he gets a little day dream sequence of lovely heads and lovely boobs, the rose he gave Sarita, the naked swim with Rosario. What a tough choice buddy boy.... BREAK

Little Pedro is dragging Mariachi in the dark when he spots little Luis sitting alone in the dark on the ground. Luis admits to being lost and Pedrito takes him by the hand to lead him home.

Franco is still staring out the window, now dark, not leaving Juan's side even though he is not in serious danger. How these three are ever going to carry on lives with women is a mystery to be revealed. Oscar comes in and asks him if he is still thinking about his dilemma. Well yes, Franco doesn't think so fast maybe. Oscar changes the subject cheerfully and announces that they need to bust Grandpa Augustin out of the asylum. He will go from asylum to asylum until he finds him. He will be Oscar Reyes, hero of the helpless old people. Go Oscar.

Crickets abound at the dispensary and even more at the hacienda even though Feo seems bent on asphyxiating them with heavy cigar smoke. He puzzles over a particular piece of paper and when Gabi brings him in supper because he is working so hard, he tells her to look at it. They both keep repeating this can't be, this can't be.

Pedrito and Mariachi manage to get little Luis back to his filthy hovel. Pedrito tells him to get some sleep then realizes he is afraid to be alone so sits down and asks him questions about his father (doesn't know one) and his mother (yeah) when the drunken woman, with nicely dyed and set hair, who "takes care" of Luis staggers in and runs Pedrito off and curses at sweet little Luis who lies stiffly across his bed. She call him a little brat (escuincle - actually the other hairless dog of Mex but used for brat or rascal) whom she will be rid of one day.

Our stogie smokin' meister is fuming from the ears now as he reveals the mystery to Gabi: the impossibility of spending money without Don Augustin's signature. He has big planting expense and all the other expenses of running the hacienda and they can't get at the money. What ever are we going to do??

WE return to who they will do it to, Grandpa wakes in the night and can't reach his wheel chair. Now it's his turn to have the three lovely granddaughters surrounding him with laughter and caresses. He needs to escape this asylum just like Napoleon escaped from Elba, but first it's time for a little sleep. BREAK

The happy village friends organize a fiesta to celebrate the rescue and recovery of Juan. They debate whether to have it now or when Juan is well enough to come. Quintina knowingly advises them that that will occur later today!! ¡Ole! Just then back at the dispensary, the good doctor is releasing Juan while advising good behavior and taking all his medications. Padre skips in to take Juan home. Juan gives one last loving look at having had a bed of his own then happily leaves the dispensary. The Reyes boys are back at constructing the casita (for whom we might ask). The ever evil Feo arrives asking snarlily if they know much the cowards who attacked their brother (and his wife). Oscar has the good sense to say no the villains wore sombreros and masks so neither Juan or Sofia knew who they were. But they will find them, Oscar finishes. Feo wanders back to the big house with a laugh and doesn't see the sneer on Oscar's face as he leaves.

Juan and Padre enter the bakery and are greeted warmly by Quintana. As Juan tries to sit, Quintana says someone is here waiting to see you. Of course, it turns out to be a radiant Sofia.

At the Asylum, Gabi is telling Dr. Matasano that she has come to see her father because she misses him so. When he changes his behavior I would love to welcome him back to the hacienda. Well he is still so rebellious says Dr. Matasano. Well she would like to see him for a moment anyway and well, she has some little papers to have him sign.

Sofia, Juan, Padre and Quintina decide that Sofia can't go back to the convent alone with the attackers still on the loose. So they all go back with the Padre to protect Sofia and for Juan and Sofia to have plenty of time to talk.

Gabi insists on seeing her father, where is he. Soooo, Dr. Matasano has to admit that he cannot be found. Cut to Grandpa rolling along in frantic fugitive flight.

Sofia and Juan and Padrito head toward the door, Juan lingers to tell her how much he loves her. But when Padre opens the door FEO is there. But it is Feo who gets to utter that most famous of telenovela lines: Sofia, ¿que haces aqui?

Next: Where's Grandpa?, What are they going to do with Feo's discovery?

Good Lord Cheryl...You barely had a moment between posting Juan before having to watch Sangre and write up another recap!

You get the Caray Caray Purple Heart for sure!

Didn't see the episode but the recaps of this bomb have become an addiction.

Thanks for the recap, I am very vague on parts of this TeleNovela. I am a bit confused. I can see how two of the strapping boys, that being Oscar & Juan, well I can see how they could fall for the sisters, being that last time they had dates was that double date they had for the Grand Fin of M.A.S.H. in other words, it has been a while. But Franco he is supposed to be so in love with Rosario & now he is torn between the two women? What has he had with Sarita besides some lame ass poetry? What the hell?

Oh yeah and while Jorge What's his name is never one of my favorites, I have decided on my scale of people I would party with, he is my favorite brother, cause at least he is human and thinks hmmmm, and lots of money too. Now you know that would cross your mind.

Thanks for the excellent breakfast recap, Cheryl!

LOL, Franco has such a touch choice, he can't decide between 'boobs' and 'brains'. Oh wait, Sarita doesn't have brains and Rosario does have gigantic boobs.

Little Luis seemed quite spooked by his 'caretaker', lying stiffly across his bed. His little legs were sticking out from the side of the bed because he just immediately plopped down when she barked at him. Poor little actor will probably be traumatized for life.

And go Gramps-- rolling along in frantic fugitive flight...

Lots of morning chuckles with this. Thanks for brightening the day!

As for the oh so rude and unncessary interruption that was sooo important it couldn't wait for the commercial break (and as if we had no idea about the results of the uberlong Dem. primary) the missing few minutes are these:

Franco insists that he understands Sofia's need to check in on Juan, but that she needs to understand Juan's point of view and not come visiting tomorrow. Juan is just trying to protect her from town gossip but he promises to fill her in on Juan's progress. Sofia promises to hold on until her willpower tank hits empty. The tank was obviously running on fumes and so that's why Juan's so impactado and we're all shocked, shocked, shocked to see her pop around the doorway when the padre brings Juan home.

Over at the dark mansion Crabiela is pacing and pondering with Feo Nando in the background and she says what in the world would Sofia be doing with that bricklayer when she had absolutely no reason to have any dealings with him. Feo offers that the rumors in town are that Sofia was attacked and he defended her. Just then Eva comes in with the news that Padre Tadeo is downstairs to speak to her.

p.s. Thanks to .ARA over at Telenovela-world's link to YouTube where the scene didn't have the interruption. Hope that helps folks in the future.

Did Rosario have a new song last night? The boobs & butt job are really getting to me.

Awww, those two little kids stole the show for me.

Gramps on the lam! WooHoooooo!!!

There are still people out here (maybe just a pitiful few) who think that a political history-making moment trumps any novela moment and want to be informed when it happens.

Thank you, Cheryl, another vgreat 'cap. Lil bro called during the threat scene, so good to know exactly waht was said...it struck me as totally ironic that Rosario would lambaste Franco for singing to another woman, even ask how he would feel if she would sing for another man! Gee, what does she do every night??!!..what is the pious and pure Gabi doing, talking to Feo in her bedroom, kind of a disconnect, even in her twisted mind..and Sofia WAS radiant, no worse for wear after such an ordeal...and they got i right with the moon, no stars thru the unlit half! Makes one wonder if the writers might be reading our little chatterings...

I love this recaps they are just as fuuny and entertaining as the show!

Cheryl, LOVED you opening lines! You can write fiction and fantasy for me anytime! And your comedy is much more entertaining than the material at hand.

I didn't expect Rosario to reveal to Franco that she is a repeatedly raped victim of Nonando but! Seriously! I find it absurd that script would have her in touch with her feelings of jealousy (think low self-esteem). She is victimized by her circumstances. Any offering of true love would be dear to her. But rejecting Franco because he is not true to her would be like telling him: I continue to allow this man to rape and beat me and I dance half nude for lusting crowds nightly but it doesn't mean anything to me AND I demand your fidelity. Franco missed his chance. All he had to say was 'she doesn't really mean anything to me'just like your situation Rosario.

But oops, I am forgetting...this is not that kind of telenovela...musical comedy musical comedy musical comedy...

Thanks for the positive support and for the added information on the dialog lost in the political break. I would feel better about interruptions to our precious telenovelas if they had at least had the decency to wait until the polls were closed in all the states voting to present us with their history making projection of probabilities.

But never mind back to the plot. Yeah, Beckster, Franco is taking on some new dimensions beyond the two he was assigned: smile handsomely and sing your heart out. But the Sarita love is just poetry, roses and serenading. So far. I guess it pays to play hard to get?

I've need to go back and check out this moon bit people have been talking about , D Dave, I didn't notice this time or before. I guess I was dazzled by the sun shining through the torrents of rain the other night.

Jardinera thanks for both the fill in of the lost minutes and the web connection too.

And Judy there were just about three hours between the recapping events which I gladly gave over to walking the lovely Willa down by the banks of the Rio Grande. Thanks for noticing. Oh and I took a break to go have and art night with some friends.

Thanks for filling in that missing scene, Calamity Cakes. I guess I shouldn't be so tough on everyone (Gabi, Feo, Sarita, etc.) for not knowing about Juan and Sofi, since they don't all know what we know; but for the two of them to be puzzling over "what would she be doing with him" and NEVER think of the obvious? That's... ah, never mind.

So now Feo sees them standing just a few inches apart in Juan's house. Do you think he'll figure it out this time?

Or will he believe whatever lame excuse she gives him?

Or will she dare to tell him the truth??

I got a little giggle from the tiny boy actor when he was sitting on the bed when the witch came in.He had a blank look on his face and was looking off screen when suddenly he looked horrified and fell back . It was cute.

AND thanks for the recap, Cheryl... Dr. Matasano is a better name than Dr. Ratched. I assume he has a real name, but I never caught what it was.

I think the lady who plays Luiz's caretaker deserves a special award for... whatever you call that particular style of "acting."

I had no idea that escuincle was also a type of dog! Apparently it is also called a techichi? I found some pictures (only a few), but can't figure out how it's different from a chihuahua.

Woops, I got bad info. Not a techichi and doesn't look like a chihuahua!

Cheryl and Jardinera: Thank you both for the recap and additional details. Apparently I missed more than I thought I did, but I've been blaming it on the hot Ala sun - not other alternatives.

The little boy who plays Rosario's son is awfully cute but seems a little too young to be acting. He seems not to comprehend what's going on and as someone says has that blank look. And when he was told to go to sleep he just plopped down on his back without scooting up in bed. His poor legs were sticking out/ dangling down as someone mentioned. Then the wicked witch appeared and screamed at this poor confused tot. He'll needs lots of therapy in years to come.

G in CA

Cheryl, thanks for the great recap. Channels always want to be the first to broadcast breaking news but here in CA we had no interruptions for election news, thankfully.

G in CA

Itzcuintli = Nahuatl word for dog. The Aztecs only had two domestic animals . Turkeys and dogs. The little hairless/barkless ones they raised for eating.

I heard they kept the barkless ones as pets, good luck charms and for healing ceremonies!

I heard they were delicious.

Here are some of my feelings about the women on the show.
Sofia: Too nice and sweet for me.
Rosario: At first I thought the boobs were a bit much, but lately I think she looks really good. However, she has no personality (other than being sad), so I can't see how Franco would like her on looks alone.
Jimena: Super pretty, happy, a little dumb, one of my favorites (I like her more than in LFMB, where she was always mean to Lety).
Sarita: My favorite, since I know that under that controlled exterior, she's really just itching to party!! (maybe not, but I like her anyway). Also, quite beautiful - maybe we'll get to see her in some better outfits eventually. I mean, Sofia had a love scene, so what not Sarita?(after Franco gets over Rosario).

Thanks for another of your delicious recaps that are always a pleasure to read. Thanks for another word (escuincle = brat)to add to my vocabulary.

Thanks Cheryl as I've said everytime you recap, I love your style. Please guys, I don't want to get anything going here, but I am compelled to say that I was offended by the following comment "As for the oh so rude and unncessary interruption that was sooo important it couldn't wait for the commercial break (and as if we had no idea about the results of the uberlong Dem. primary)". Try as we may, it remains that race, religion and politics are sensitive subjects that are bound to offend a mixed audience. For me, it was an interruption for a very important announcement even though I am among the few who really like the novela.

Julie, here is a link about the hairless dog
http://www.hund.ch/rasse/xolouk.htm

They are bigger than the other one, techichi
http://www.xoloitzcuintles.com/techichistd.htm

My Oaxacan friends have some XOLOITZQUINTLEs, they are large like about the size of a dalmatian. I was told in Oaxaca that the word itzquintle by itself means "rat" in Zapoteco (as opposed to Nahuatl) and one needs to put the "xolo" on the word to make it mean "dog" with no hair. In pre-Columbian times they were used as hot water bottles by people who had arthritis. They ARE very smooth and warm, so I guess that would work, though it feels kind of like leather and you'd have to hold a dog on your knees or wherever.

There was a tv interview with Nora Salinas on set of Fuego with her son. He looked rather like Luis -- is her son playing Luis in Fuego?

She was saying that it is nice to do this show because they shoot it at a real hacienda and they let everyone bring their kids with them.

Thanks for the doggie links!

Anon 09:19, I love your comment about last nights history making moment. You took the words out of my mouth so to speak because I couldn't have worded my feelings better. For me, the moments missed by the interruption/announcement were insignificant considering the history making announcement.

Thanks for the recap Cheryl. I hope Abuelo meets up with Oscar and the brothers Reyes hid him. I want to see Crabi and Feo squirm without money, hee hee.

People this is a Telenovela Recap site. Don't get your panties in a wad because some people are tired of politics.FELS is located especially far outside the realms of reality. Thus ,political announcements during this novella are jarring and injure our sensitivities.

Couldn't agree with you more, anon 3:04.

It was precisely because I was expecting a history-making announcement that I was watching CNN and taping Fuego - so I could find out as soon as it happened (I already knew it would happen, so it was just a question of when).

However... people whose first language is Spanish and/or do not have cable may not have the option to watch a news channel, no matter how interested they are, so I can forgive the interruption.

I just wish there was some way they could have "paused" the show during the announcement, instead of skipping scenes.

No biggie for me, really. I can sympathize with arguments for either side. I personally felt that waiting for the commercial break would have been the best compromise - this would have annoyed those who wanted the info sooner, and equally annoyed those who felt they had heard enough already and weren't in a hurry to hear more. At least it's fair. ;-)

(Best of all would have been a crawl at the bottom of the screen when the time came, but I've never seen that on Univision.)

Anon 03:04 I agree with you that 1) this is a telenovela recap site and 2) that some people are tired of politics. However, that supports my argument that we should stick to comments about the novela and omit those that have the potential to stimulate off subject sensitive topics such as politics. I'm not crazy about politics either, but I'm proud of being an American and value information that will affect me and my children's future over a made in Mexico highly mockable novela even though I'm enjoying it.

NO MORE POLITICS. The blog mom has spoken.

Since Feo is hiding Rosario's child, who is this wicked witch of a woman who is screaming at this poor child? Since she is so evil, could she be a relative of Feo .... perhaps an hermana, tia or maybe mama? Didn't his family lose their wealth though this woman seems to be living in a hovel? Waiting to find out.

Thanks, Cheryl, for that wonderful recap and for sharing your writing talent with us. (Dare I say the recap team here has more talent than the writers of "Fuego"?)
Great comments, too. I love to read and laugh.
Not sure how Gramps made it into his wheelchair and out of the building, but you go, Gramps! And don't sign any papers, either.
La Paloma

Should be family lost its wealth not their wealth. Sorry, my grammar seems to be going downhill.

Anon 12:46, dog is not all that delicious. It is unusually sweet, but too rubbery.

That woman looks too young to be Feo's mom (I assume that having a son like him would automatically age anyone at double speed).

I'd hate to think that he'd let his own sister live that way, but this is Feo we're talking about, after all, so maybe. Heh, maybe they're twins!

Or maybe she's a relative of Armando's?

If I recall correctly, the kid didn't speak to Rosario at all when he visited her. I wonder why. At the time, I (and I think Jeri and someone else?) wondered if he was bonding with the people who were caring for him, but now there doesn't seem to be much threat of that happening...

Noodge, I was kidding the previous poster who has a higher opinion of the Aztecs dog-caring propensities than I.

Cute kid, but it's a bit jarring to notice how filthy the hut and the sloppy drunk caretaker are, yet the kid is spotless and looks like he just walked out of a clothing catalog. How many months has he been living with her now???

Thank you, Cheryl , for going above and beyond the call of duty to provide us with this recap. I always enjoy your witty perspective. As for Rosario's son, he sure looks like the little boy from Alborado . (He is Iran Castillo's nephew, I believe.] The age would be about right since he was about 3 in that show. He often had the same dazed look . I think the commentors used to refer to him as ''the little sack of potatoes'' and ''the stuffed boy.'' Anyhoo, it sure looks like Rafael to me. Well, at least this show is starting to move forward a bit. I'm glad Juan and Sofia got together. So, is Sofia pregnant ???
