Las Tontas no van 2-25 Wed - An old hubby gets sacked, an ex hubby ain't so bad, a new hubby gets comfy, an unknown hubby leaves, and a cheatn hubby..
Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I hoped by including them, I wouldn't have to type as much. Didn't work as well as I hoped to prevent typing, and I wasn't able to get them in the beginning, but hopefully you'll enjoy!
A sullen but pretty hot woman shows up seeking help from the institute. Chayo converses with her and describes the problems she has had with her husband.
Pato is instructing the "family" how to put up the tent and that it is important to have air in it and then we'll have a bonfire, and...she says he doesn't fit, he's not going. Chava thinks he will fit and he wants him and isn't going without him.
The "parents" argue about this like a couple of kids and it turns out that Pato agrees not to go, so Chava will get to go.
Candy meets with a lawyer famous for putting away fraudulent plastic surgeons. Candi wants to know what she knows about the hack doc who killed her sis and learns that he’s had 43 complaints against him. Well she has one more for the ambulance chaser. Lica Beltran learns that Candy writes the Tontas column. She never misses it.
It turns out Barb is able to encourage our angry hottie that she can do without hubby and she gets sucked into all the treatments. We get a montage of everyone working their magic including Meno teaching her to move her hips. Yeah right, like she doesn't know that...
Horty is flirting with someone on the phone when Lalo comes up and sweet talks her with the help of a little green (or red or blue or other prominent peso color) to pay his electric bill for him, because he's stuck with house chores since Chayo's been working. I'm wondering if his amante works at the power company.....
Meanwhile the two Cs are frolicking on the very wobbly dock, Chava proclaiming he’ll be a sailor someday! Yeah Chava!! My kind of guy…but Candy reminds him he wanted to be a soccer player too.
Ali comes in the office and Pato tells her how well the Ocotlan furniture is selling in Cali. She tells him they have a dinner tonight with his parents. He says… say it with me…not sexy, because he can’t go, y punto. This prompts her to ask why he’s with her. Definitely the next logical question… we are left for tonight with him asking her if she really wants the truth.

I think Soledad looked particuarly lovely when she would smile or laugh at Zamora's goofiness in this episode. Everyone "lights up" when they smile but it's particularly noticeable in this actress.
Cringed when Lulu threw the eggs on the floor during her spat with Gregoria. Cleaning up those viscous eggs is the worst chore in the world. As a mom and grandmom, I can tell you I don't find food fights funny at all!
Loved your "say it with me....not sexy". Yep, we're getting a lot of repeats in this one. Repeats of phrases, repeats of diaglogue, repeats of scenes. Time to pull the rip cord!
Ok, since Marissa is getting more and more unstable is there a chance she might go off the deep end and end up in a mental hospital (or locked in someones attic), and Santi will raise the child and live happily ever after?
Candy would be a great mom to all his gang.
Pat can stay with Alicia.
I wonder if Soledad and Zamora might become more than friends?
I've liked this actor since LaFea and although he can be nerdy and goofy he always seems like a "nice" person.
The Isabel/Jaime line has just gotten too silly. I don't care if she does move back to Jaime's and lets just move on with something else.
Carrie L.
I thought the dance scene with Meño and uber-model was hilarious because she was trying so hard to NOT dance well. She looks like a dancer to me.
I don't understand why everybody is giving Jaime such a hard time. First of all, why does Isabel still have her dead husband's crap lying around? Second, since she does what's the big deal if Jaime wears it? I'm with Carrie, yawn, let's move on.
JudyB, I kind of liked the food fight. I was hoping it would escalate into much more. However I don't get why Lulu and Greg are so competitive. It's hard enough to work in a kitchen without dumping each other's dishes down the drain. Pure nonsense.
Uh oh...I don't like that wobbly dock.
Thanks Kris, we really got treated today, a fantastic and funny recap and some great pictures! I'm very impressed.
Let's hope that uber-model sticks around for awhile. She seems like a a quick learner.
Carlos
I agree, Donato and Santiago's attitude toward Jaime is ridiculous. Even so, it gave us a heart-to-heart between Santi and his mom, in additions to the heart-to-heart between Santi and his daughter. I just adore when those pairs get together.
I enjoyed the Lulu/Gregoria food fight. I like both characters and think that out of everyone, Gregoria is changing bit by bit, however slowly.
I'm not a Jaime fan either. Maybe it's me, but I would never consider wearing my husband's ex-wife's clothes. I think Donato may be on to something here...
Marissa is descending into a very dark place. Hope she gets the help she needs. Diana in MA
I've been wondering why the Institute apparently has no permits, no certifications, no attorneys, no insurance, no business plan, but seems to be doing just fine. I guess I shouldn't ask. However, the woman's threat to sue should at least make the ladies consider some form of contract, insurance, or whatever.
However, since we now know that if you can teach a person to slice tomatoes straight she'll never sue you, I guess our worries are over.
I agree that something funny is going on with the electric bill that Ed wanted Hort to pay (by giving her cash). I was thinking maybe this was not the bill for Ed's place, but the bill for the amante's place! Hope I'm wrong.
Hmmm... maybe we should all move to Guadalajara and start an Institute of Telenovela Watching.
Mike I like your idea of an institute. I know who I would elect as board members!!! :)
Dudes I wanted to post one more thing but forgot. For those of you Juan Q lovers, and I think this shouldn't violate any rules, but it turns out our Paula and Juan found love in real life, are pregnant and supposedly getting married this weekend. YOWSA!!!!!
