MEPS, Thursday, August 13, 2009, I Want the Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth,

A smiling Franco tells Fer that it will be no inconvenience if Gardenia leaves.

Aurora asks Barbara why she didn’t tell the truth to Santi. Bar says she isn’t capable of telling Santi what happened that night. Aurora wants an explanation, and asks Bar point blank, “What do want of me?” Aurora wants the truth.

Franco sends Bar a text telling her that Gonzo asked him to analyze the Lili tape. Gonzo wants the truth.

Bar tells Aurora that she felt very bad about what happened that night. It affected her so much that she can’t explain anything. Are you serious, says Aurora. Yes, says Bar, that’s why I’m here, to ask your pardon. Tears fall from their four eyes. I’m as shocked as Aurora. Suspenseful music plays.

Anibal calls somebody while Pris gets a massage. No answer, he must have been calling her. Is he looking for some kind of truth, too?

Flor, the doormat, enters and tells Ani that he has a meeting with the accountants. He tells her to cancel it.

Artemio and Lili are in the garden. He tells her he grew up in an orphanage, it was the place he received the diary, and he was taught the catechism and the bible, but the only story for him was his mother’s diary. Even though you are crazy, he tells her, you will understand the infamy. And that’s his truth.

Your grandmother didn’t want Ana Gregoria to be able to go anywhere on earth. She made Ana do whatever she asked and caused Ana terror and anguish. Ana kept all her secrets in the diary and all went well until Altagracia found out about the diary and that Ana Gregoria was pregnant. We see Ana Gregoria looking very pregnant and crying. Altagracia enters Ana’s room and snatches the diary. Ana cries and grabs her belly. Altagracia reads the diary. That’s how she found out about the bastard that was about to be born, that all the servants knew, and even who would be the child’s godmother. But, Altagracia had very different plans for Ana.

As Ana gives birth, Altagracia looks on coldly. Finally, the child is born. It was raining. That same night, Ana Gregoria was kicked out of the Elizalde Hacienda. Don Jeronimo wasn’t there because he was in Europe visiting his son. With her baby and a few things, Ana Gregoria just about died from the weather. Un arriero (a mule driver) found them almost dead. The man gave them a place to stay for a few days and helped them survive. The baby was baptized Artemio a few days later. Lili, “I am your uncle.” Lili shrinks and stares at him.

Bar begs Aurora’s pardon and says she jumped to conclusions. She asks Aurora if she will forgive her. Aurora asks that if she tells all, will Bar help her explain it to Santi. Yes, she says. Bar wants to know about Aurora’s life – from the beginning. BTW, she was on her knees and is now sitting in a chair. (Bar wants to hear it all, the truth, that is to say.)

Fer enters Lactos with Gardenia and tells Flor that from today on (a partir de hoy) Gardenia will be working with her. She will be doing general work until they figure out where she will work. Fer also tells Flor to get a uniform for Gardenia. Flor wants to talk to Fer, but once again Fer is too busy.

Meanwhile, back at the clinic, Ani is there to get the results of his sperm test. The receptionist orders the report from the file room and sends Anibal to an office down the hall. He remembers his conversation with Pris, who told him she had the results and they were fine (that he was un vigoroso semantal). The doctor enters and gives Ani a folder and asks the doc to interpret. The doctor tells Ani that the results of the test indicate that he is infertile. Ani says, that means I cannot have children (procrear). That cat is now out of the bag.

Vlad calls a limping Damian who is no doubt up to more mischief at the plant. Vlad tells Damian not to worry about him. But, he warns Damian that he is going to fix the accounts in his own way and not bother Damian again.

The doctor explains to Ani that his condition could be hereditary or that it could have resulted from an accident. Ani tells the doc that when he was ten, he had a bad fall off a horse.

Flor tells Gardenia how to make coffee, but Gardenia knows already. Flor wants to know why Gardenia is at Lactos because she thought Gardenia was happy at Las Animas. Flor tells Gardenia that Franco is a complete gentleman (todo un caballero). Gardenia is going to work hard, but she tells Flor that things aren’t always the way they seem and that at casa Santorito strange things happen. The phone rings and Flor leaves to answer it before Gardenia can let Flor in on a secret or two. Gardenia talks to herself and tells herself to shut her mouth. Zip it up, she says.

Marg and Jacinto talk as they walk to Las Animas and Jacinto says that Gardenia is an ingrate. Marg is all excited about the projects she has going with Fer. A man comes up, sucking on a lollipop, and asks if this is Franco Santoro’s house. The man tells them to advise Franco that Yako is here. Somehow I get the feeling that this is not one of Franco’s classmates from Harvard.

Bar tells Aurora not to cry and that she believes her. She’s ashamed of Camilo and that she finds it difficult to believe that Camilo drugged Aurora. Liar, liar. Is that why you treated me like a bad woman. Bar says she’s sorry and asks for forgiveness. She was blinded by what pain she thought Santi would feel. Bar says something about the trouble between the brothers and the pain suffered by her and Gonzo.

Barb urges Aurora on. She wants to hear more from Aurora. She wants to know about how the romance between Aurora and Santi began. Aurora had escaped from the house where she lived and was looking for her mother. She tells how Santi picked her up at the toll booth (caseto de pago) and gave her a ride. Flashback to the day they met. She then went to Mexico where she thought she would find her mother.

Marg says she can hardly believe that Gardenia left in this manner. Marg tells Franco that he can count on her. Strange things happen at Las Animas. Marg tells him, for example that a man called Yako is there to see him. Franco tells her to send him in. Franco takes the envelope with the tape out of his desk.

Fer remembers that Franco told her that a man came into the office and said that Damian Gallardo is an estafador (swindler, cheat). Enter Damian right on cue. He’s ready for love again. Enter Gardenia with a cup of coffee. Damian sends daggers to Gardenia and tells her to knock before entering. Fer looks happy and tells Gardenia to get Damian a coffee. A knock on the door – Gardenia wants to know how he wants his coffee. He says, you have a short memory. But Gardenia remembers the night she saw Bar and Damian in the act in that little car. Fer says that Gardenia will work at Lactos until she goes to school. Dear Damian says then she can work at the plant. Fer fields that curve. Damian wants to know why Gardenia left Santoro, and Fer says she doesn’t know.

Franco tells Yako that he has complete confidence in him because he worked for the FBI. Yes, says Yako, ten years. Franco wants to know about the circumstances surrounding the tape and Yako assures Franco he has his complete loyalty. We hear the Lili tape. Yako takes the tape and tells Franco that he will have results today.

Aurora tells Bar that Santi passed her off as his fiancée at Fer’s wedding. About her mother, Aurora didn’t even know her name. Santi was helping her find out her parents names. She found out the name of her mother. Bar begins to shake and Aurora says Rebeca Sanchez. Nobody knows anything about this except Santi. She tells Bar about Dominga and her drunken rages, and that Dominga said something about her father having paid. Bar wants to know if Dominga told her anything else. Only that her mother was bad and had been bad since she was a child because she burned her house down and killed her parents. A tear falls from Bar’s eye.

Editor: But, we don’t know if this is the truth yet. Could Barb have been the only survivor of a bad fire and is she the victim of Artemio’s evil ways. Or, did she intentionally start the fire? I don’t know. She did seem to enjoy snuffing out Montserrat and didn’t hesitate to push Macario down the ravine.

At Lactos Gardenia tells Flor that Fer still doesn’t know about Damian and that she can’t stand it. Flor tells her that they need to mind their own business even though they know what’s going on and that Fer doesn’t. Pris gets off the elevator and is greeted by Ani who wants to talk to her. He looks like a man with a bad case of controlled rage.

Aurora comforts Bar. Bar says she is very moved and wants Aurora to continue. Dominga said terrible things about my mother, scaring me to death and that she slept out on the patio. She had nightmares. Aurora tells Bar about the terrible things that Dominga said. Aurora didn’t know what to believe. But now thinks it must have been true. Aurora says she is confident that a mother is capable of doing anything to protect her child. Why do you say this, asks Bar. Because I’m pregnant, says Aurora.

Ani questions Pris with a little cat and mouse game. She wants to know why he’s interested in her pregnancy. He says it’s because she’s been all alone up to now. He says they are going to spend their days together. She is shocked. He says that from today on (a partir de hoy) he is going to behave like a loving husband who is awaiting the birth of his child. OK, he had me from hello, because I thought he was going to hit her with the news that he knew he wasn’t the father of the child she is carrying.

Aurora wants to know what Bar thinks about what she has just said. Her child is Santi’s. Bar doesn’t know and asks permission to leave, thus confusing and already confused Aurora.

At Lactos again Ani writes something on his calendar while Pris looks on. He’s going to cancel his appointments so that he can go to classes with her. Oh, BTW, Vladimir Pineiro wanted to talk to me. Do you know why?

Gardenia relates to Flor that when she saw Damian, she remembered that fateful night when she saw Bar and Dam in the car. Also they talk about Pris’ infidelity (poniendo la cuerno) with a man who was working here.

Pris asks Ani why would Vlad be important to her. She tells Ani that if Vlad calls again, tell Florecita to tell him that your’re not in. Ani asks her what plans she has for the rest of the day. He smiles as she leaves then he looks crazy. He goes back to his calendar, makes a phone call. Vlad’s phone rings. It’s Anibal who says he has to talk to him. Anibal has to talk to Vlad right away. Vlad will determine the place and the time. Well, Ani, the truth may set you free, but it also hurts.

Editor: Anyone want to wager about the conversation between Ani and Vlad. I say that Ani will want Vlad to keep his mouth shut to protect the Elizalde family name.

Bar laments that if she had known Aurora were hers all the abuse wouldn’t have happened. She blames it all on Artemio Bravo, the liar, who made her believe that Aurora was his lover. Artemio just happens to call her. She tells him that the family is sure that the voice is Lili’s. He tells her that Lili is OK. He’s happy to hear that Gonzo is having the voice analyzed because that’s all Gonzo will get of his beloved Lili for the rest of his life. Bar says the only good thing that happened to her was the birth of her child and that that Artemio will pay for the damage he has done.

Avances: Artemio will pay for all the damage done to her. She tells Franco she found her child. Does she mean Lili or Aurora? Damian yells at Fer. So what’s new?

Someone, please post this for me. For some reason I couldn't edit my post. Thanks.

Thanks for the recap Pasofino. Filled in some blanks for me. I thought Barb was going to have a breakdown but no such luck.

DDenia can't keep her mouth shut for 2 minutes, can she?

Thanks for the recap. Yako would have seemed much more imposing if his tongue weren't bright red from sucking on his lollipop.

I'm not so sure that Gardenia working at Lactos is such a good idea if all she and Flor are going to do is gossip.

I posted for you.

Great recap, pasofino. Thanks.

I thought Yako might be some thug looking for the real Franco. What a relief that he's not.

Barb looked quite impactada at Aurora's story.

Gardenia working at Lactos is not a good idea. Too bad we can't have her beamed up to the mother ship.

Could Barbara become redeemable, now that the truth is out about Aurora? If she takes out Artemia, and makes everything else right, would that be enough to redeem her?

Thanks, Pasofino, for the recap. It helped me fill in some of the many missing pieces.

I don't know what to make of Yako. It's hard to take someone seriously when he arrives sucking on a lollipop. And, like Doris, I initially thought he was a thug. Or perhaps the real Franco Santoro.

In answer to Doris' question, no, I don't think Barbara can be redeemed. It's one thing to kill Montserrat on Artemio's orders, but quite another to gratuitously kill Macario (though I suppose if the plan is to redeem her, he'll turn up alive but remembering nothing of how he fell down the cliff). Not to mention sleeping with Damian after he's married, giving Camillo the date-rape drug for Aurora, etc. etc. etc.

I thought the same thing Doris about Yako! It was hard to be intimidated though because of the red tongue. He just looked silly.

Sylvia: Thanks.

wow, so this means Artemio Bravo is younger then Gonzo?..... Why would Jeranmo be visiting his son in Europe? Is'nt Altgracia, Gonzalos mom? i am confused......
Gardenia cannot work at Lactos....for sure she will spill the beans to Floricita about Franco being Eduardo....I will bet on it.......and with Flor being so kissy butt with Fer...she just might feel the need to tell her the gossip......so many story lines to follow ...... but still a good telenovela......thanks for the recap Pasofino...BNinCA

Gonzo was probably sent to Spain like Fernanda was to finish his high school and post high school studies. It seems about right that he would be in his teens when Artemio was born.

Pasofino: Terrific recap of a very eventful episode. Enjoyed your embedded vocabulary also.

Sylvia, yes, Yako's red tongue was a distraction and a detraction. Was he trying to channel Kojak with the lolipop? Although a folically enhanced version, he didn't have the charm of Telly Savalas to pull it off.

Juanita, I also initially thought Yako was the real Franco too. They are somewhat similar physically...

Doris, I don't know if Babs is redeemable, but I did have some sympathy for her last night. Pasofino, I particularly enjoyed your Editor's notes on Barbie. Also, are we even sure Barb did start the fire that killed her parents or has she just been led to believe she did??

Connie, I agree about Denia. No one told her loose lips sink ships.

I guess last night's episode rules out the twin theory. The sad thing is that it is not Gonzo's fault. I'm sure he didn't even know about Ana and Artemio if he was away at school. And it's not Ana's fault what happened with Don J...he's just a creepy, horney scumbag.

Great recap, Pasofino!

I bet some of our males in Viewerville were wincing on their sofas when Any?balls told the doctor about landing on the log with his legs open.

Speaking of the spermatically deficient one, his behavior is very odd and ambiguous. I sort of came to a halfway conclusion that, upon hearing he can never have biological children, he's going to pass this one off as his own. There's some kind of understanding that Pris and Any were to produce a child to unite the two companies. Maybe a financial incentive from Pris' papi? But I also think he's going to torture Pris.

I thought the scene with Babs and Aurora was excellent. For once the actress playing Aurora seemed to hit all the right notes. And Lucero was wonderful.

I also was sure the lollipop guy was the real Franco Santoro, even after he said his name.

I think the novela is getting much better. This week's episodes have been full of revelations and good acting.

Wonderful recap Pasofino. Thank you.

Redemption for Barbara. Well, if to be a heroine or hero one must sacrifice their life to save another then she could become a shero. But redemption may be about confession, make amends and accept consequences. Murder rather puts Barb outside that possibility. She may qualify for grace and love. But is that what you mean by redemption?

Great recap, Pasofino.

Okay, if Artemio Bravo suffered so much, being raised by poor Ana Gregoria in the rain, no money, etc., it should be interesting to see how he now is highly educated, refined, and super rich.

I agree that Babs can't be totally redeemed, but maybe she can be redeemed enough to either get a jail sentence, but not die, or to die heroically, saving someone. Or maybe SHE could become a nun (that would be fun!).

I wonder if Anibal, Camilo and Santiago were sent to Spain as well?

What nationality is Aurora? If she said she was going to Mexico to find her mother, that implies that she's not FROM Mexico. So where is Aurora from?

Altagracia knows she was dead wrong for throwing that girl out in the rain. When is Ana Gregoria supposed to curse the Elizaldes/town?

And Eduardo must have been a serious late in life baby if Soledad was older than Artemio Bravo and he's old himself and Eddie's supposed to be only in his mid to late 20s. How old was Soledad and was she really Eduardo's mother? Because it seems to me she could have been his grandmother.

Anonymous 14:00: I think when Aurora says "Mexico," she is referring to la ciudad de Mexico, i.e., Mexico City, not to the country.

Oops, I typed the wrong identifier for Anonymous. I was referring to the message at 01:14:00.

BTW, when I checked a minute or so ago, this synopsis was still not listed under Caray's mañana bookmarks.

Ha, ha, paso...I guess Barbie couldn't handle the truth! Wonder if she thinks she's too young (and evil) to be a grandma :)

I agree that Gardenia and Flor working together is going to turn the Lactos staffroom into gossip central.

Add me to the list of people who thought the lollipop man was going to turn out to be the real Franco. Honestly, just about every time a new man shows up, that's what I wonder, since I'm assuming we're going to see the real Franco sometime. Maybe it'll just be like the end of the movie Oscar, where some guy walks in and says "I'm Franco Santoro!" and then gets carried off.

What an episode! Thanks for the thorough recapping job, Pasofino. Once I couldn't "edit" because I was putting my browser on the wrong spot. But you probably wouldn't do that.

Anyway, I was literally in pain, watching that poor child Ana Gregoria give birth while the woman who hated her watched. And then sent out in the rain with the baby. Gaaaah...wretched beyond belief. And hard to believe either survived, frankly.

And, soft-hearted wuss that I am, I was quite moved by the connection made by Aurora and Barbie. Yes, I forgot all about Barbie's evil deeds and just grieved at her hearing all about the pain her own long-lost child had suffered. Don't ever put me on a jury!

Anibal continues to be an enigma. Remember all our questions on why he was so distant and uninterested in either Pris and a child? And now, playing things so close to the vest with his new knowledge. Will be interested to see where this leads.

Thanks for the recap, Pasofino. I always miss something so your fun recaps help a lot.

I'm pretty sure DDenia's very loud mouth (volume as well...ha, ha) will not close until the very end of this novela. I hope she doesn't do more damage to Fer and Franco's relationship. She and gossipy Flor are a bad combo.

I am interested in how Artemio made his fortune as well and think it is probably something not too wholesome such as gambling, liquor or some illicit activity run from a front company where you hire hitmen to take care of your hit men.

Was Fr/Ed looking very handsome wearing a nice suit in the promos because that sweater over the shoulders is driving me crazy?

Hoping for a fast wardrobe change, GinCA

I know i know it is not right for me to push for Ani to get rid of Priss' impregnator. But that guy is a menace to society. Unfortunately I don't have an imagined plan for how Ani can do that. The other options are bleak as well: single parent tells child birth father was insane and named father did not want you. Even Priscila predicted Anibal will one day see his child hate him. What a mess Priscila! All because she did not do the interview process.

Another reason Any?balls may be willing to accept Vlad's kid is that, I think last week, he said something about fearing passing on insanity because of Liliana. And we were to conclude that that was the reason he wasn't excited about Priscilla's pregnancy.

So accepting Vlad's kid solves a couple of problems for him. No insanity genes and infertility covered up.

But Ani doesn't seem like the type to buy the lover's silence. And Vladi is certainly not open to it.

Great recap Pasofino. It will be interesting to see what Anibal has to say to Vlad. A thought to ponder:

infertility as an inherited trait

Hmm.

Carlos

Thanks, Pasofino for a fine recap. I am always so grateful for the re-cappers to fill in the holes I missed.
I am glad Aurora told Barbara about Dominga's abuse. AND, I don't think Barbie is redeemable. After all, in one previous flashback on the ravine incident with Marcario she SMILED as she remembered pushing the helpless old man down the canyon.
I am recently fostering five four week old kittens and I have not had much time to watch Manana this week. Hubby and his bicycling pals were out in rural west Sonoma county on Tuesday when they happened upon five kittens that someone had dumped by the side of the road.(What is wrong with people???) They were dehydrated but all of them have made it and appear to be thriving. We are going to foster them until they are 8 weeks old and can have their shots snd go to their forever homes. Anybody in need of a sweet grey country kitten, let me know! I am taking orders now.
Glad to see MEPS moving along again.

Doris, Juanita, Connie, Diana, Novelera and 5ft Latina: I thought Yako was going to say my name is Franco Santoro, too.

Novelera and JudyB: Anibal is hard to figure out. I like the word "enigma", but, I'm not sure he deserves it.

Hombre de Misterio: Right - where and how did Artemio Bravo make his money. Judging by the artillery he carries around with him, it can't be good.

bonney churros: You got right to the point.

Carlos: Yes. Infertility as an inherited trait would quickly end the human race, or at least be effective birth control.

Carlos, what I meant is that Anibal fears that insanity is in his genes.

The infertility appears to be the result of the horseback riding accident he had.

I meant that, if he could work it out with Vlad or bump him off, he could cover up his infertility by claiming as his own the kid that unites the two families of GrupoLactos and Prolasa. This is what Pris has wanted all along.

If anyone can post this to the sidebar for me, please do so. Thanks.

Elna June, are you going to call one of the orphaned kittens Artemio Bravo??
Pasofino, thanks for the recap and for including your thoughts on the redemption of certain characters. Also thanks to Jody for Wed. recap.

I was looking at parallels with Ana Gregoria (AG name, twin knobs of hair behind the ears) and Alta Gracia (AG name, twin twirls of hair above forehead). Altagracia looked so familiar that I looked her up. She's Cecilia Gabriela, who was also in Juro Que Te Amo. That's why she looked familiar; the hairdo was so different. She did a good job with her very cruel character.

Lots of big disclosures in this episode, so I'm sure great drama will ensue. Not sure why Barb was so shaken at learning of Aurora's embarazada.

Flor and Denia, as two close cousins, will definitely fill the halls of GL with chitchat and giggles. This job should feel like a comedown for Denia--she was in a "management" position at Las Animas. (Don't think I've ever said what a beautiful house Las Animas is. Also like the Elizaldes' country cottage.)
Carlos, you're right. Inherited infertility is a puzzlement.
La Paloma

La Paloma:
I have no kittens who act like evil incarnate so, no, no Artemio Bravo. I am thinking seriously about a Fernanda or a Fernando though, and maybe even an Esteve for the runt male. I am thinking heros/heroines here!
:)

I don't think Barbie is redeemable. she is as evil as they come. And again she gets away with her evil deed because Aurora who has such low self esteem is so forgiving because she has been brought up to believe she is unworthy.

But who is Soledad to Artemio and Gonzalo? I'm confused. Is she their sister. Then what does that do to the Fer and Fr/Ed relationship?

Ann-NYC

Thanks for the recap Pasofino. We were out and we started watching this about 20 minutes after the hour. I was almost going to not watch the first 20 minutes, but after watching ENDA, I just continued into MEPS. Boy, glad I did. Ana being kicked out, Anibal learning about his results, some good stuff to hear about.
Not sure what Anibal is going to say to Vlad. If he wants to keep the kid, no way will Vlad let him do it without a fight. And yep, when Anibal mentioned his... ahem... accident... ouch!

JeffMN

Ann-NYC:  Soledad was Ana Gregoria's friend.  Both worked at the Hacienda Elizalde.  Soledad was the mother of Eduardo Juarez, aka Franco Santoro.

Soledad went to her grave with "secrets", e.g., she knew about what happened to Ana Gregoria and about the baby.

She was also the beloved nanny to Fernanda. Barbara, of course, hated her.

I don't think Barbara is redeemable. The list of her evil deeds is way too long.

Anibal might be able to be redeemed, but the fate of Artemio Bravo and Damian is to be determined.

Great recap! Thank you, Pasofino!

I understood that Aurora said her father sent her money (through Dominga). Barbara would have known who that was, correct? And didn't we learn at some point that Artemio Bravo had sent the money orders? Does all this imply that Aurora's parents are Artemio and Barbara? That would explain why Artemio could convince Babs that the child was dead. But it would also mean that Santi and Aurora were cousins! Unless...Santi belongs to someone other than Gonzalo.

I'm also intrigued by the fire that killed Babs' parents. Is this the first we've heard of how they died? Has Artemio convinced Babs that she was the cause of the fire? We may be headed for Babs' redemption, but she has been such a monster, I would hate to see her get off unscathed.

Jane

Pasofino, thanks for clearing up my questions.

Also, I neglected to thank you for the great recap...

Ann-NYC

Jane: The story floated by Artemio Bravo tells us that Barbara killed her parents by setting their house on fire.

Last night we saw Barb flashback to a scene of a young girl looking at flames. She thought-bubbled this when Aurora was telling her about Dominga's accusations.

I don't think we know for sure if Barb started the fire and intentionally killed her parents, of if she was just another victim. My money is on the first supposition. The Bad Seed Grown Up.

We don't know if Artemio Bravo is Aurora's father. That has never come out. The circumstances seem to indicate that he paid Dominga to take care of Aurora. Aurora told Barb that Dominga said her father had been taken care of or paid. I thought this meant her father had been taken care of, as in dead.

Of course, I'm just guessing.

Thank you for clarifying, Pasofino. I miss some details, even in English! But knowing them really enhances my enjoyment.

Jane

Pasofino...Sylvia tagged it for you this morning. And it shows up as tagged on my computer. I don't know why it's not showing on yours.

JudyB: I don't know why I can't see it. A commentor named Juanita doesn't see it either.

re: Anibal. I think he's a "throwback" to his grandfather in his appearance and behaviors. Jeronimo secretly bedded & impregnated a servant, and let her get sent away without any secret support. What a jerk. Anibal is as much a jerk but in different ways. He has a weasel face and I don't trust him.

Weal face Anibal
Catt butt face Camilo
Poodle face Santiago

doris (who's out of town on on a different computer)

I'm not too sure about Yako either, he could have been sent by Artemio. Could our Fr/Ed have been duped, I didn't see him ask for any ID.

Not only can't Gardenia keep her mouth shut, but she can't gossip quietly, but that might be a good thing. She knows muchas cosas & might let ALL the gatos out of the bag.

I bet you have it, Jéronimo is in Europe visiting Gonzo. I guess that's why Gonzo has white hair & Artemio dark hair to show an age difference.

There is no redemption for Babs. She has killed 2 people that we know for sure, Macario & Monserrat & maybe more. She subjected Lili to horrible cruelty & wanted her brain fried. She treated Aurora badly before she knew she was her daughter & she treats everyone badly, namely Flor lately, calling her torpe = clumsy, slow & threatening her when Rubeil Villasana showed up.

Variopinta, by the way, I voted for our guy. He's still way ahead of everyone else. No surprise. Barbara

jeronimo let ana go without any support, but so did Gonzo. He let Barb throw Soledad out of the haciendo and into that little shack. Gonzo might come across as a nice person, but an airhead; however, compassion and caring, I would think, is instinct. Where was it with him and solidad and him all these years while Lil was in the hospital?

In the only defense of Jéronimo he wasn't there when Altagracia sent pobre Ana out into the rain on the very day she had Artemio. Hope she prays about that in church.

Given the nature of DDenia's assets, I think she's a perfect candidate to work for GrupoLactos.
