I'm a Spanish "intermediate at best"...hope someone saves me from "what I think was said!"

We pick up from yesterday episode where Paloma escapes from her bedroom, Rafael enjoying his evening with Luz.

Cris asks God who could have done such a thing to them. Then we hear a voice over of Carloca.

Cris is starting to see the comparisons to how she separated him and Macarena. He is in shock from how incredibly crazy this woman is,how he could not make the connection to how evil and low she would sink too.

Oh my dear Padre you don't even know the half of it.

Diana is smiling like a deranged idiot.

Camila welcomes back Orlando who is estatic with this unexpected welcome home.

Diana is singing off key with her new plot.

RoMEna calls German and ask if he has seen Emiliano with Paloma.German brushes her off because he is busy with his new clients case.

Dr.B talks to Ivonne about whats going on.

Rafael walks Luz back and is quite happy with the date.

Joel calls Monica asking how is everything and wants to be together with her.Monica seems to have finally accepted him and yes she would like to be with him too.

Luz thinks about their date is very much interested in her older brother figure Rafael.

Diana comes into the room to surprise who she thought was Rafael in the shower and it turns out to be Joel, then Rafael walks into the room seeing Diana in her birthday suit.

Joel is upset with Diana.

German talks to Cris tells him to trust in him and tell him everything.German says the pictures are incriminating and it could be used as evidence that he and Natalia are lovers who conspired together to kill Alonso.Cris ponders this.

Rafael confronts Diana who asks if he is jealous, Rafael says no he is tired of her and her nonsense and wants his divorce and freedom.

Rafael say he wants his life to be free of Diana and her schemes. She no longer will be his wife.

Natalia tells German about the situation, German tells her she can go to jail for the death of her husband.

Cris is beginning to see how much a monster Carloca and is remembering when Alonso ask if Carloca is capable of murder, and now he sees she may have murder Inaki. He still can't believe how evil Carloca is.

Rafeal and Joel talk about Diana, Rafael says not to worry i know what Diana is capable of.He then smiles thinking of Luz and tells Joel about their date.

Diana sits in her room crying and maybe realizing Rafael's lost to her and no matter what she tries she will not get him back.

Emiliano and Paloma come into police station and ask German how bad are things.

German then says extremely bad it does not look good.Paloma then begs German do everything thing he can to prove their innocence. Emiliano looks on this exchange and is not happy.

Orlando takes Camila to a swanky restaurant and hotel,He then takes out the engagement ring he bought her.

Cris tries to call Orlando while in jail, who left his cell phone in his suv.

German comes and tells Paloma he will try to get in her to talk to Padre Juan. Emiliano tries to console her but she gets up and walks away.

Natalia is giving her statement to a detective about what happen while German looks on.Natalia brings up her past almost marriage to Cris. German is not happy about hearing this surprise.

Orlando ask Camila about Rafael and her decision, who then reassures Orlando that she choose the right man.

Natalia tells the story of her association with Cris, German tries to intervene but the detective tells him not to interrupt.

The detective then ask about the problems with Natalia's marriage with Alonso. Who then tells how she was separated for two months from Alonso. Why she came to Real Del Monte and how she knew Javier and Sagario, Paloma's adoptive family.

The detective then accuses Natalia of killing her husband because she wanted to get back with Cris her lover.German objects to this line of questioning and Natalia is stunned to be accused.

German then tells Emiliano and Paloma there is nothing more he can do tonight for either Cris or Natalia. Paloma begs him for his help German tells them to go home and comeback tomorrow.

RoMEna left a message for German who then calls her how Emiliano was with Paloma at the police station together.

Camila comes out of the bathroom and see a flower with something sparkling in it and Orlando ask her to marry him.

Emiliano walks Paloma back home who tries to climb back up the side house in high heels of her and falls into his arms.

Gabriel looks out his window and sees a little child sitting on the curb who is approached by an creepy adult.Gabriel chases off the creep and the child disappears.

Paloma ask
herself why is such a fool over Emilano still.

Gabriel comes back into his house with the blanket the child left and paints.

Rafael gets a call from Emiliano who tells him about Paloma.

Orlando and Camila are in bed together after their lovemaking talking about their future together.

Rafael tries to give Emiliano advice concerning his feelings for Paloma tells him with time he will have to move on.

Emiliano does not believe he can ever be able to move on from Paloma when he looks into her eyes he remembers their great love.He tells Rafael how upset he gets when he sees her with another guy.

Rafael tells him it takes time to get over a love like that. Now he has to think of his child.

Padre Cris is being interrogated by the detective, German looks on while he is asked these questions.

Cris is then asked if he and Natalia did not do this who then could have committed this crime. We see Cris open his mouth then shut it because while he suspects now it was Carloca he does not have the proof.

Avances for tomorrow Carloca visit Cris in Jail and taunts him. Cris talks to Orlando. RoMEna has another fit because Emiliano is going to the police station and she knows Paloma will probably be there.

Thanks so much, anon! You really whipped this out!

Dona Gruinguita – I hope you’re reading comments today because I wanted to thank you for providing the information about the Virgin and Las Mananitas a few days ago. I read the comments too late to post that day and yesterday I plain forgot. I love how much I learn on this blog, and how generous everyone is with information.

What was that little girl doing out alone? Why was she wandering the night carrying textiles? We already knew Gabriel is a good guy, they didn’t have to have him saving children in danger. I wonder what that was all about.

I was relieved that Luz, when she went back to her room, said to herself how much she likes Rafa. Yesterday it seemed to me that she was up to something. She came on way to hard and to glib. I guess we’ll see.

I'm so over Camilla. I hope Rafi and Luz get together. Luz is fun loving and free and he deserves to be happy. Camila is such a downer. Actually, everybody in Realweid del Monte is a downer.

I think Germ will go with the highest bidder (Carloca).

~Caborita

ITA Caborita about German and his desire and greed for money.

I'm so unhappy that German is turning out this way. I still had hopes for him and Liliana. Somehow I'm not too excited about her with Eric, altho he seems like a nice enough fellow.

Thanks Anon for the great recap.

Ann-NYC

Thank you, Anon for doing this, your second recap in just a few days. I wish we had a name or initial to address you with. But once again, thank you for doing such a great job.

Diana, annoying as she is, provides the best comic moments as well. It's her facial expressions that get me every time. I thought the shower mix-up was hilarious. Poor Joel.

The actress playing Luz looks familiar to me but I can't place her. Has anyone seen her in another novela?

Jackie

Also, the detectives must know that Alonso was the victim of a hit-run, yet they've never asked Cris or Natalia if they own a vehicle. Seems very odd as they don't have any solid evidence against them.

I thought I heard the detective say that in Mexico you are guilty until proven innocent. Pretty chilling if this is true.

Jackie

Muchas gracias, Anon, for this very helpful recap. As others have said, I wish we had some way to refer to you other than as Anon. You deserve more specific thanks!

Jackie, I too thought I heard someone say that in Mexico you're guilty until proven innocent. Still, even if that's true (which I doubt), Mexico surely must have higher standards for accusations of guilt than the beanie-breaking nonsense we've seen re Cris and Natalia.

Like several other folks, I'm pretty disappointed in German. My only question is whether Carlota will prevail with him over Paloma.
And frankly, I can't imagine why they don't get a better, more experienced lawyer to handle the accusation against Cris and Natalia. German seemed way out of his league when dealing with the interrogations.

Finally, what in the world is going on with Gabriel and the little girl? I have the awful feeling that his bringing her blanket into his apartment may result down the road in his being accused of molesting/kidnapping/killing her. I don't understand this whole aspect of the plot. Gabriel seems so unnecessary.

I am glad to help out when i can with the recaps and as my name or moniker.

At one time i was undecided what to call myself then i was attacked by an individual on the Sorti recaps.

I have decided for now to remain anonymous, i enjoy the comments and wit of my fellow Caray Caray readers.

It's unfortunate that sometimes we have to deal with people who have some issues and they come here to make others as miserable as them.

Once again enjoy.

I'm not very impressed with Germ's lawyering. WE should represent Padre Juan and Natalia. LOL

After the writers let Germ bungle everything, I'm sure Alonzo's friend will take over as their lawyer.

I agree with Anonymous who said that Diana, as annoying as she is, makes great comic relief. Her facial expressions are so funny. That mix up last night in the shower was hilarious.

~Caborita

Anonymous recapper, the most important thing is to feel comfortable so I'm just glad you're here with us and so generous with your time, as are our other recappers.

Caborita, that was me (Jackie) cracking up over Diana and Joel last night. I just couldn't stop laughing. We get so much gloom and doom on this show that I appreciate any lightening of the mood.

Ditto with why Cris & Natalia would entrust their case to a novice like Germ, even if he weren't as sleazy as we know he is. I don't know how it is in Mexico but here the lawyers definitely protect their clients from saying too much during this type of interrogation. Of course C. & N. are innocent so they don't realize how their words can be used to trip them up.

Jackie

We've had this guilty until proven innocent discussions before, more recently in MEPS and Sorti. Yes, it is tue. In Mexico, you are guilty until proven innocent. It is the defense's job to prove innocence, not the prosecution's job to prove guilt. The reverse of the U.S.

I could not stop giggling at the shower scene, but found the whole episode too depressing and infuriating to watch. Had to switch the channel. :)

-Vivi in DC

The guilty-until-proven-innocent is part of the Napoleanic Code of Law. It’s interesting that German had to explain it as if viewers wouldn’t know that that was the standard in their country. I’m wondering if they had him say it because they know that telenovelas are sold to other countries that don’t have the same system.

German should turn the case over to Rojas partner. Who probably is a lot more experienced than he is.

Wow, What's Next For Cristobal And Natalia, Great recap, Well The Hubby, Noted Maybe Gabriel Was Abused As A Child? So Maybe Thats The Significance? I'm Not Sure, Guess We Will Have To Find Out. But Excited For Tonights Show, I Really Want Cristobal And Natalia To Find Some Way Out And Show Carlota Up, Someone Should Do Something About Her, What About Rufi, I Mean She Was Standing Outside The Door Listening To Carlota, Could She Be A Possible Witness To The Case?

Unfortunately Rufi heard only part of Carloca conversation with herself. The other part was her thinking to herself that we heard the voice over.

Guarantee if Rufi had heard the entire conversation, she would told it was Carloca.

Why oh why didn’t Chris say he suspected Carlota?

Diana sure didn’t get it. Joel told her that she didn’t give him what a man needs, namely support and understanding. She didn’t pay attention to the last part and assumed what a man needs is sex. I really enjoy the actress playing Diana and the shower scene was fun.

One more thing about Diana. While she was crying, I was thinking to myself that people like Diana and RoMEna get what they want while they're young by manipulating and scheming. But it all catches up to them in the end. Ultimately, they end up sad and lonely.

~Caborita

Caborita what you said is all so true
but in RoMEna i see a part of Diana's manipulative and scheming. She is already feeling sad and lonely.

Then i also see a part of Carloca's crazy scheming and evil single minded obsession, willing to say and do anything to achieve her objective.Including a lie that can have can long last repercussions.

Maggie,

Dona Gringuita here. I did read today, and thanks for the compliment.

You ARE guilty until proven innocent in Mexico, and sometimes it's not a pretty picture. Although women's prisons and jail quarters are usually much better than men's.

Dios mio, please spare all of us from having a lawyer like Germy.

D.G.

Thanks, Anon. I haven't had time to comment today as our company is moving to another town. Ugh! We need to be in the new digs by January 4, so we're working every day except Xmas and NY Days.

I also wish you could use some name other than Anonymous. I think I remember the issue with the person on the Sorti blog. Maybe you could come up with a name for ENDA and use that here and then Anon on Sorti? We're pretty friendly over here.

They are creating a big mystery with Gabriel. I thought that his conversation with Padre Cris about getting things done because he wouldn't have enough time meant that he had some sort of fatal illness. But then the reaction at seeing the child seemed to hint at past child abuse. That's odd too because Cesar Evora plays a warm and loving father to him. Who knows?

They sure are making it look like Rafa and Camila are kaput and that he's moving on to Luz. Like others, I'm OK with it because I was tired of Camila moaning about his not being free. Last night it actually looked like Diana realized it was over. Don't think she'll do the divorce, though, but he said he didn't care if she didn't give it to him.

Anon, you're producing great recaps especially as an "intermediate at best" Spanish speaker. Wish my Spanish was at that level. Anyway, I enjoyed your recap and thank you.

Hopefully in the coming episode, Gabriel will be responsible and contact the police to report the child abduction incident and present them the evidence the little girl left behind. Why was he sniffing and touching the material ...weird and yuck.

It was funny how the police handed the evidence (the accusing letter) to Chris without it being in a plastic envelope. Hope they had a chance before to examine it for finger prints though we know ever crafty Carloca was wearing leather gloves when she pasted the letter together.

Now I see why bribery of officials is common in Mexico. Proving you are innocent may be impossible in some circumstances without evidence or witnesses to counter the claim against you. It's a very frightening situation for anyone...poor Chris and Nat. Hopefully, Yvonne was with Nat the whole time and perhaps Gossip Guy will help them or perhaps be used to implicate them. I am not sure when he observed them together.
