ENDA, January 20, 2010

Camila informs Orlando that she will never move away from her daughter or grandson. She will go on many trips with him, but never leave Real de Monte permanently.

Ivonne comes to talk to Dr. Bermudez in a nice dress, but ugly white shoes. Anyway she tells him that visited Natalia and feels awful. Dr. Bermudez thinks that the trial is not going very well and doesn't see any hope that they will be freed. Ivonne shows the picture that Natalia gave to her to give to her daughter that has the secret letter in the back of the frame.

Emiliano's in the park and his old friend from Monterrey drives by. She yells out his name. Paloma hears this and witnesses his friend, Anamar, running up to him to give him a hug. She's in Mexico to visit her old boyfriend. This turns out to be Emiliano. He's happy to see her. She can't believe that she let him go. Paloma hides from their view and spies on them. Celos. Mucho celos from Paloma. Anamar finds out he's married and can't believe she lost him.

Eugenio is talking on the phone with Madeleine. She suggests Eugenio talk to the priests Benito and Mateo. He thinks it's a great idea.

Carloca tells Rufi how unhappy she is with her and how she always preferred Macarena over her. Rufi spells out all the things that Carloca did that were not right. You lied to Macarena about Cristobal's death and lied to Paloma about who her real dad is. Carloca says I know you don't agree with the things I did, but I have my conscience clear. (Really? Killing a dog, telling lies, mistreating everyone in your home and killing people. Only a crazy person would have a clear conscience) Anyway Carloca says I may have made a couple of mistakes, but to be considered a monster by you? It really hurts me. Rufi says sorry, but I explained why I felt that way. Carloca pretty much says whatever and walks away. Rufi asks herself why it appears Carloca is guilty of nothing when inside she feels she is.

Rafa finally comes home and Luz takes him into the bedroom and shows him Xochi who is sleeping. He asks her what she is doing here. Luz says I found her and explains what she did. Rafa says do you realize that you stole a little girl? This is a crime.

Orlando walks into his office thinking to himself how he can convince Camila to move away with him. Not only would it be good for business, but also for their relationship. Angelica asks Orlando if everything is okay. Fine replies Orlando. Have you heard from Dario? No replies Angelica. He tells her that he contacted an attorney for her and has pre-paid for 3 office visits. And if more is needed he'll take care of it. What he did to you he must pay for. Don't be scared to confront him. Paloma comes in to speak with Angelica. Paloma tells her that she saw Emiliano with another.

Romina visits Camila. What are you doing here asks Camila. I came because I was bored replies Romina. How can you be bored asks Camila. Soon you will have a little baby to take care of and you have lots to learn. You should take a course. Romina tells her that's not necessary. She's going to have 2 nurses to take care of him and when he's well a nanny. Then what are you going to do asks Camila. Why supervise Bernando replies Romina. Bernando says Camila. Yes. We are going to name him after your dad says Romina. Camila is so happy. She tells Romina that she's going to have a special place in her store for him so that Romina can bring him everyday to see her. Romina wants her to take care of her son well so that she can dedicate her time to her husband. Camila says why don't you work here and we both can take care of Bernando. That way you don't have to hire a nanny. Romina says thanks but no thanks. I was not born to work. So forget it.

Angelica tells Paloma not to let her celos make her see things that are not true. Celos asks Paloma? Yes replies Angelica. Celos because you saw Emiliano hugging a woman that you do not know. Paloma denies being celosa. But then asks if this is the same feeling that Emiliano gets when he sees her with Gabriel. Yes answers Angelica. Paloma thinks this is a horrible feeling. (All this celos talk reminds me of the Marc Anthony song "Celos". It's a good song. If you have never heard it, it's worth a listen. Really any of his songs are. The man can sing)

Emiliano accompanies Anamar to check in at her hotel. He invites her out to eat.

Rufi is cleaning Carloca's office and is going through a recipe book. She comes up with an idea to gather recipes from the ladies from the church and sell them. What would you do with the money asks Rufi. Use it for the dispensary replies Carloca. Rufi thinks it's a good idea. Phone rings and its Padre Benito. He wants her to come and talk to him. Carloca wonders what's going on.

Romina visits Gabriel at the church. She wants to know if he can give her classes. Says she has lots of time on her hands and has the money to pay him. It's a win-win situation. All this time she is getting closer to him and openly flirting. He turns away and says that there are things that money can't buy. And painting is one of them. Can't you show me asks Romina. German walks by and spots Romina and Gabriel talking. He goes up to them and says to Romina that he can't believe she's at church.

Luz asks Rafa why he can't understand her. Rafa says it's not that he can't understand her; it's the fact that you stole her away. It's impulsive. Luz defends herself by saying she's always been that way. Rafa tells her that she needs to start thinking first. Do you realize the danger it was for you to enter a strange house with a drunk man in it? You put not only your life but that of the little girl in danger. And what will happen if that man accuses you of kidnapping? Luz says we know that the little girl is not his. That is what they told you replies Rafa. But we are not sure. This is not the way things are done. She can't stay here. Luz replies that if Xochi can't stay here then neither will she.

Romina calls German an idiot. German accuses her of making eyes at Gabriel. Romina says she only has eyes for her husband. German doesn't believe her. He knows her too well. Then grabs her and kisses her. In broad daylight in the streets. She tries to push away, but ends up kissing him back.

Paloma tells herself that it's best that she forget about Emiliano. She doesn't like the way she feels. She remembers back to the time when she met Emiliano at the park. He tells her that there are lots of way to make love. Looking at you, caressing you, feeling you close. Says other things but the darn music is too loud to hear his words. Gabriel interrupts her daydreaming. Paloma tells him that she drew a picture and wants to show him. He invites her out to eat.

Emiliano and Anamar are at a restaurant catching up on what's been going on in their lives. Seems like she loved him more then he loved her.

Paloma tells Rufi that she will be going to lunch with Gabriel.

Rafa tries to reason with Luz. He just wants things to be done right. Luz finally agrees.

Eugenio asks Padre Mateo if he thinks that Carloca bought off German. He says I do. That woman is like the devil. We have witnessed her lies and when she accosted Cristobal. Eugenio says accosted? Do you mean sexually? Padre Mateo says yes. One day Carloca tried to get into Cristobal's bed here. Eugenio is impactado.

Paloma and Gabriel walk into the same restaurant where Emiliano and Anamar are. Emiliano spots her and calls out her name. He comes over with Anamar and introduces her to Paloma. Then goes back to his table. Gabriel asks if she wants to go. No replies Paloma. Gabriel asks if she wants to talk about it. She tells him that she saw them at the park today hugging. Gabriel says Emiliano introduced her as his friend. There's nothing wrong with that. So you can live with him being married, but not with another woman? Paloma asks if he has ever felt celos before. He says he thought he was immune until he met a woman that made him finally feel it. Like she has made me feel love. I never thought I would feel it replies Paloma. Emiliano and Paloma stare at each other.

Padre Benito tells Carloca that she is no longer allowed back at the church until she has confessed all her sins. Carloca says he is nobody to deny her anything. You are mistaken replies PB. I am a representative of god here on earth and am a witness to your lies and deception. Carloca says she's going to complain to his supervisors. He can't deny her communion. This situation will not stay that way. PB says I won't deny you coming here, but I can with the communion. You do not deserve to accept the blood and body of Christ. You are perverse. If you think that replies Carloca, not only are you to show me respect but you should also fear me. As she storms away from PB she runs into Eugenio. She says that she didn't realize how religious he was to be here at this hour at church. Eugenio says no one is aware of what people are capable of. Carloca agrees. If you had know PJC then you would never have imagined him doing what he did. It appears you have found him guilty replies Eugenio. Let's just say it's what I have seen. She tells him she has to go home. They are waiting for her to eat. To bad replies Eugenio. I would have liked to talk to you more. About what asks Camila? About how you are a very intense, wound up woman. A woman that is quite a mystery. I would love to get to know that mystery. Carloca feels uncomfortable and says she has to go.

Emiliano tells Anamar that the girl is Paloma. The love of his life. Anamar tells him that it looks like Paloma is trying to make a new life with Gabriel. It's obvious that Gabriel is in love with her. And Paloma may end up falling in love with him. Looks like she's trying to forget you. I also know that you married someone you don't love. So start the divorce process immediately. She can't take your child away from you. You are the father and the law will protect you. Look for our happiness.

PM tells PB that Eugenio was here and thinks that Cristobal needs to drop German. PB agrees. PM tells PB that he told Eugenio about Carloca trying to get in bed with Cristobal. He looks like he expects a scolding, but PB says if it saves Cristobal then oh well. PM asks how it went with Carloca. He crosses himself and gulps. She went away very angry, but it had to be done.

German is doing business at the same restaurant where Emiliano is. He calls Romina and tells her that Emiliano is at the restaurant with a very good looking woman. Romina says don't lie. I'm not replies German. And Paloma is here with her teacher. Emiliano and Anamar leave. Gabriel asks Paloma when she is turning 18. Next week replies Paloma. Why? Because I want to throw you a party says Gabriel. Paloma doesn't think that Carloca would foot the bill to throw the party. Gabriel says he'll take care of it all. They'll throw the party at his crib.

Luz is feeding Xochi and gets a call from Eugenio. She wants him to come over.

Romina goes to the restaurant and questions the waiter about seeing Emiliano. She calls him up and asks him where he is. At the hospital with the baby answers Emiliano? What are you doing there at this hour asks Romina. Introducing Anamar to the baby. Romina gets pissed and says that he should have introduced her first to his friend. Emiliano gets mad and hangs up on her.

Eugenio calls a friend in Pachuca. He tells Luz and Rafa to go to see his friend who will help them. Luz wants to know if they will take Xochi away from her. Eugenio gets to the point with Luz. What she did was wrong. You have to denounce the guardian and fight for custody.

Carloca is in her office recalling Eugenio's words to her. She feels uncomfortable around him.

Manana: Cristobal fires German; Anamar is plotting to get back Emiliano

Can someone tag this for me please? Thanks.

I'll do it, Gloria. And totally agree about Marc Antony. Celos is a great song, among many others.

Does anyone agree that this is the happiest Emiliano has looked since the beginning of the story???

Thanks for the recap Gloria. Glad to see PB taking some action against Carloca. He better start watching his back now though. :)

I hope Eugenio gets Carloca to say a few things before she finds out he is working for PJC.

Ella.. Emiliano definitely looked happy when he first saw Anamar and when he is alone with her with no other distractions... Those being.. When he saw Paloma and when RoMEna called, things went downhill fast.

For being the top of her class, Paloma is a little slow at times. What? Me celos?? :)

Can't wait to see how German and Carloca handle having him dropped from the case.

Thanks for the recap Gloria. ITA that Marc Anthony's songs are great.

I'm so psyched that Chris is going to fire German. Finally!! Since Eugenio does have a brain, it will be fun watching him unravel the complete and total wickedness of La Loca.

Thanks Gloria. I so loved watching Eugenio totally unnerve our purple queen. That voice and the way he got in her face, I thought she was going to melt right there. Watching him take her down is going to be so much fun!!

Romina. It's all been said, but how sad. No postpartum depression for this gal. She is right back into the swing of flirting, making out and being a spoiled brat. I wasn't born to work??????? Wow, how special you must be girl. The guy upstairs tell you that directly? Honestly! Maybe she and Germy can just head into the sunset, but this is a TN, so somehow they have to get their just desserts.

So, Emi had another love bug once upon a time and she came back to town because she still has the hots for him. Apparently, they didn't break up badly because they seem the best of buds and he just lit up when he saw her. She may prove more of a problem for Romena than Pal at this point. Character is there for a reason, so I guess we see how she starts to mess things up. You go girl!(If it means getting rid of Blondie).

I wish they would please stop the LONG flashbacks with Emi and Pal. We don't need to constantly be reminded that they really luv each other.

I like Luz, but I'm glad that Eugenio backed up Rafa on how dangerous and not too smart she was in taking that little girl like she did. Heart was in the right place, but there might have been a better way to do it. Spell the end of Luz and Rafa maybe? just as Camilla and orly are having issues? Seems there are too many episodes left to resolve that triangle (or square) yet.

I'm loving the Eugenio scenes now more than anything else as he is dissecting the enigma that is Carlota.

Enjoyed the recap, Gloria...swift and to the point.

JeffMN...ITA about PB needing to watch his back. I took great pleasure in watching him tell her off last night. Whoop Whoop!

Ella...Emiliano did look genuinely happy. Did you see the episode where Paloma agreed to be his novia? He did a Tom Cruise on Oprah move. I think that was his happiest and sappiest rolled into one big dedication of luuurve.

I agree with eveyone who can't wait to see Eugenio get Carloca on the stand. She thinks she is a genius but now she is up against someone that is NOT from Unreal Del Monte (saw that on yesterdays post and loved it.) There must be something in the water there that makes you clueless...Eugenio don't drink the water!

You are right Carlita...I forgot that scene. Scenes with a happy Emiliano are few and far between so it is easy to forget them :)

Thanks for the recap, Gloria. All of the recappers have great style and yours makes me feel as if you and I are just dishing about the episode. And thanx also for the Marc Anthony recommendation. As with novelas, I find listening to spanish songs, especally romantic ones, a most diverting way to practice my spanish comprehension.

Eugenio definitely has command of himself and the situation, and yet he's so charming to Carloca, she's feeling off guard. Now, if only he could use his many contacts to find a competent investigator to determine what really happened in Pachuca and to establish alibis for Cris & Natalia. I know I keep going on about this, but do either of the defendants even have a vehicle with which to run someone over? I think this is where Samuel will eventually come in, linking Alonso's death in Pachuca with Carloca's presence there at the same time. I have never wanted to see the takedown of a villain more than this one. How delicious that will be.

And yeah, why do we need flashbacks of Pal & Emiliano mooning over each other, when all they do is moon over each other in every episode.

Jackie

Gloria: Another spectacular recap with great detail.

Anamar certainly doesn't lack confidence, does she? Neither the fact Emiliano is married and/or that he's in love with someone else deters her. Major ego.

I loved that Gabe brushed Romina off. It's obvious he isn't the slightest bit intrigued.

It was nice that Orlando made arrangements for Angie's legal bills. He can be so kind at times yet totally inconsiderate and thoughtless at others.

I'm excited along with everyone else that Eugenio may signal the real beginning of the end for Carlota. Finally, a force to be reckoned with.

Diana

Ella, your dog is beautiful!

Diana

Gloria thanks for a wonderful recap.

Great comments from everyone.

I thought last night episode was kind of uneventful except for the Padre B confrontation with La Loca,

The Padre Mateo spilling the beans to Eugenio about what Carloca really is.

Carloca running into Eugenio at the church.

Jackie ITA and LOL about there's no need for flashback for Paloma and Emiliano since every episode they are in a constant state of mooning.

I guess for me the best part of last night episode was to see the preview for tonight's episode when German gets fired.

I just love listening to Cesar Evora voice talk about sexy, no wonder La Loca looks a bit confused and unsure of herself with him.

This hopefully will be a well played cat and mouse game between the two of them.

Now finally it seems Paloma 18 birthday is going to be next week she said. So how long is that in Unreal Del Monte time?

So before she knows what hit her Carloca gets denied the benefits of the church. How fitting. Those meddling priest don't waste time before acting and they know plenty including the biggest secret of all.

Poor Paloma is so emotionally immature that she didn't recognize celosa for what it is. In a way it was kind of cute but I don't like the snit from Monterrey. Like Romina and Carlotta she seems to have an inflated idea of her own importance in the scheme of things. Emo seems to attract them like flies.

I have to be careful not to be drinking anything when I watch this show or I'd be spewing all over my TV. Calotta ripping into Rufi that she may have done a few wrong things but always with good intentions - as if. Like the Courthouse, that gloomy pile they live in must have a lightening rod on the roof. That gigantic ego the purple one has keeps her oblivious to the fact that a growing number of people (minus the hate cadre and Paloma) are beginning to see what a monster she is.

I like Luz, she is full of enthusiasm and energy something that a boatload of people in Unreal d M aren't. Emliano is a chronic moper and Rafa, Camila and Angie aren't far behind.

While I wish slimy Sam would be called to talk about the purple monster being in Pachuca I just don't see it happening. He is too busy ripping off oversexed, bewigged matrons.

It will be interesting to see if Don E can find proof that JC and Nat were no where near the accident or have damaged vehicles. Of course the whole trial and investigation (huh) is a total farce. I know all about suspension of disbelief but bringing people to trial based on a pasted letter with nothing to back it up is a major stretch.

Love, love, love the way Don E makes Carlotta uncomfortable. He better be sure to pass on anything she offers him to drink or we'll have another victim on our hands.

Great recap, Gloria.

So Paloma can just go ahead and turn 18, right? It doesn't need to be delayed any longer. She already knows about the inheritance but thinks she shouldn't get it until she's 21. The only other big thing that was supposed to happen when she was finally of age was that she wanted to leave town, but she was planning to go with Doc B and he hasn't left yet, and Gabriel hasn't finished stage one of her scholarship. Plus I don't think she'd want to abandon Cris and Nat while the trial is ongoing, and she's gotten attached to the baby as well. So, Paloma isn't going anywhere for awhile. Let's have a birthday party already.

Anamar sure does have a lot of confidence. She didn't even call to find out if Emo was in town and available before she showed up. I don't approve, per se, but I do like the character's appearance because she's perky and shaking things up. I have a limited tolerance for watching Emo moon.

I like Luz's energy and cheerfulness as well, but she's so immature. She got into a good pout when Eugenio and Rafa had the nerve to disapprove of her kidnapping.

Everyone keeps worrying and about who might be next on Carloca's hit list.

I don't think she can touch her obvious targets Rufi, Dr.B, Padre Benito and Gabriel it would not only throw big suspicion her way but have someone investigate Inaki and perhaps exhumed Macarena's body for a CSI autopsy.

I would say right now her hands are tied, and once she learns how German is going to be taken off of the case. He may jump to the top of her people to kill off list, after the trial is over.

Anon,

It probably wouldn't do any good to exhume Macarena's body since she actually died of the injuries she suffered when the purple witch pushed her over the balcony. I don't know if all the tampering she did with Mac's diabetes meds would show up. She managed to off all the others by pushing them under trucks, running them down (and then having the car fixed which made Rufe suspicious) and with her other victim Inaki she got rid of any evidence by talking the shattered Carmen into having him cremated. Other then the letter in the picture she has been remarkably clever and left no evidence.

My guess is that Don E, Gabe (who has an eye on Paloma) and Rufe would be on the top of her hit list. Now if Germs is fired and Don E gets Nat and JC off Germs will go on the list for being a failure, something our moral mass murder can not stand.

I can't wait for the showdown between Carloca and Eugenio. As we've seen, Carloca is a masterful manipulator and Eugenio seems to be someone of high intellect and a seasoned litigator.

I can't wait for Eugenio to begin working the case. Hope Germy gets thrown in jail for taking a bribe.

~Caborita

Thanks, Gloria, for your always informative recaps. Yes, Carloca's clear conscience includes mistreating people, telling lies, and killing people and the poor puppy....crazyville.

Since Paloma draws beaus like flies, I guess she has never had to experience any feelings of jealousy. But can't she avail herself of a little self evaluation. Emo animated...pretty new girl hugging a smiling Emo...resulting feeling of anxiety and distress. Celos perhaps, Paloma? And I agree with JeffMN, if Pal is at the top of the school so what does that say about the rest of the students. It must be the water again.

What with the extended look between Orly and Angelica when Pal came in for advice. Was it Orly being a good friend? I can only hope Camilia dumps him and then Angelica can offer him some therapy in people skills.

It will be great to see the battles of the minds between You Genius (great name) and I Think I'm a Genius (Carloca (of course.)

GinCA

Thank you Diana..she is a rescue from Alabama that is loving the snow here in New England!!!

I get woozy listening to Eugenio's voice...big sigh :)

Ella:
Ditto that :)

What's really scary is that I think Crueloca really believes her own lies and feels no guilt over what she's done. She is going to be VERY surprised when she doesn't get away with it. It's very bizarre psychology...one the one hand, she knows on some level that it's not okay to kill people and embezzle, because she's trying to hide it. But on the other hand, she truly thinks that furthering her comfort and convenience and obsessions = the highest morality, and there's something wrong with everyone else.

I think Rufi, Germy, and Gabriel are in the most danger. Rufi's death would immediately cast suspicion on Loca, but she might think it's worth the risk to send so many secrets to the grave, and she might be able to frame it as natural causes given Rufi's age. Germy, same reasons, but she'd have to try harder to make his death seem not deliberate. Gabriel I think is in danger just because he's interested in Paloma and not willing to play Carlota's games.

Hands down Cesar has the best speaking voice I've ever heard from any actor in novelas, Hollywood, on broadway - you name it..

Decie girl i love when he was talking last night i felt the urge to start peeling my clothes off.

Lets not forget the many birds she killed over the years, remember that one time she killed one of the birds and Macarena went immediately and accused her.

Mac being the dolt that she is also guess at the time that she killed the Yorkie puppy too. Hello earth to Mac these are clear signs that point to a serial killer but most of all that the person is deranged and should not be a guardian for a young child.

Whether it was the water or damaged brain cells or not i would have done everything and anything to take Paloma out of that environment.

Especially since she really was her daughter too.

I agree Orlando needs someone like Angelica to help him grow into a more sensitive person and be more aware of what to say and not to say in certain situations.

Angelica needs someone like Orlando to protect her from people who will misuse her innocent trust in them like Dario.

I guess they would balance each other out. There's no way Camila is going along with Orlando once she finds out his true plans.

So glad Gabriel realize what RoMEna was up to and told her there are things even money can't buy. He reminded me so much of Inaki when he did that.

Inaki realized RoMEna was him self the only reason he didn't tell Paloma was because he didn't want to hurt her.

I still miss Inaki. Sigh! :(

Thanks for identifying why I like Gabriel so much better than Emo. He's like Iñaki!

Like Iñaki, Gabe can recognize other people's manipulative behavior, he isn't afraid of Carlota, and he has passions and interests other than Paloma. Iñaki had his music, Gabriel is into art. Emo has a job, but doesn't seem too interested in it and mostly sits at his desk daydreaming.

I knew when Iñaki died that I would never be truly satisfied with the romantic outcome of this novela (the punishment of the villain, however, will be a thing of beauty, I am sure). However, I would happily take Gabriel as a second-best. Can he be the new galán?

Julia, if they hadn't hampered him with a fatal illness, I'd almost suspect a major twist with the heroine ending up with a different galan; i.e. Gabriel

By the way, thanks Gloria for your excellent recap. Haven't had much time to comment today.

I did really love it when Benito went toe to toe with Carlota. Enjoyed your analysis, Julia, that she really is nuts enough to believe she's not a sinner. No communion for the purple one, presumably for the duration.

I could have smacked Orly when I heard him thought bubbling about trying to convince Camila. And his thought bubble confirmed my suspicion. He wants her all to himself. Obviously, he doesn't plan to back down after she was MORE than clear she's staying in RdM.

What Luz did was pretty outrageous, but I hope Super César can pull some strings to get her custody of Xochitl. They made a big point earlier on that she couldn't have children, even though she loves them. I think her getting the child would be very good for both of them.

I think I will move to Unreal del Monte because it looks as if you can take an extended lunch whenever you desire and not worry about losing your job. And let's not forget all the added extended breaks for moping in the park. Or maybe you can only do that if your dad owns the business.

I also loved Padre Benito showdown with La Loca and it was way over due for Miss Purple he should done it when she was stripping and exposing herself to Cris sitting in the first pew during Mass.

Yes she is sick and very perverse from her holier than thou attitude to her torturing and mental of Macarena and Paloma.

She also gets a sick pleasure of putting down people like Camila or Carmen for not having high morals like herself.

Then comes her crazy obsessive desire and love for Cris by telling him and Mac how each other died. Then to later killing her own sister because she was going to finally get to marry Cris and tell them they have a daughter.

This heifer is major Looney Tunes and her misdeeds are brought to light is a can't wait for moment.
Whatever ending the writers have for her better be good for all the murders and bullying and abuse she has dished out.

Whatever Carloca's ending is, it must include extended physical pain, public humiliation, one last rejection by Cris, and preferably ugly cheap clothes and confiscation of her makeup, and some sort of official church punishment. Also she should have to know Paloma is having a happily-ever-after with the money and a man she loves and all that, and that Cris is also happy, before her final demise.

Julia too true about Carloca.

Debbie if you're doing the recap for tonight's episode can you put up a comments section for Friday's episode too. Thank You.
