ENDA Tuesday January 19. Carlota is still captain of the kangaroo court.

But not for long, right? Right?

The trial has broken up for the day. Carlota sticks her snooty snoot up in the air and tells Paloma she had no choice but to keep the inheritance a secret, but she doesn’t want this to lead to lies and mistrust in their relationship. Crueloca swans off for some fresh air (better enjoy it while it lasts; she’ll be smelling sulfur soon enough) and Gabriel steps in. Paloma is upset that her parents would have wanted to keep the money from her when she would need it for her education. Gabriel tells her she can get by without it, like she was planning to do anyway.

Rufi says to Doc Bermúdez she’s not convinced Javier’s will actually said that. If so, why did Carmen tell Macarena that the results of Iñaki’s investigation would change Paloma’s life? Doc B says maybe she just meant in a few years, when Paloma is 21. {Anyone here see or read Tuck Everlasting? I suspect by the time Paloma is 21, Rufi, Carlota, Doc B, Emiliano, everyone will be long dead of old age.} In that case, Rufi wonders if maybe they’ve been wrong to suspect Carlota. No, Doc B still thinks something is off.

In chambers, the judge and Eugenio are all chummy.

Paloma tells Gabriel that she and Emiliano have said goodbye forever, and this time they really mean it. They’re so serious about avoiding each other that they are going to go visit the baby at separate times. Gabe doesn’t say much, but his expression says he believes her about as much as we do.

Night has fallen, and it can’t get up. Emiliano is finally doing a little work. Orlando drops in and reports the day’s trial proceedings. Emo is surprised to hear that Paloma will inherit a fortune, but doesn’t have time to get into details as he is heading out to the hospital with Romina. Orlando asks if they’ve registered the baby and Emiliano says they can’t until he’s out of the incubator?????WHY??? Well, good, because Orlando wants his last name to be Ferrer, and he wants Emo to change his own last name to Ferrer also so Orly will have everything possible stamped as his property. Emo says he’ll think about it, but the answer is probably no. He leaves in an uncomfortable hurry and Orly looks peeved.

The remaining members of the Padre Cadre catch Germán as he struts out of the courthouse. They tell him Carlota is lying about her relationship with Juan Cristóbal. They think that showing Carloca is a liar could open the way to proving JC is innocent. Germs condescendingly tells them it has nothing to do with the trial, and he is the lawyer and knows best.

Liliana meets Eric in a restaurant and says she loves him and has done nothing but think about him all the time. He asks about Germán. Lili says he’s become intolerable since he went over to the dark side even more. Eric agrees to be her novio again, and they are both deliriously happy.

Angélica and Miriam say Dario is a jerk and discuss how he snookered them with his debatable charms. Miriam says it’s a good thing Ange had Orlando there, because things could have turned very ugly. Ange gets all sad because she doesn’t have Orlando with her the way she wants him. “Are you in love with Orlando?!” asks Miriam. Yeah, I can’t believe it either, lady.

Emoo and Romina hold the baby. The doctora says he can go home soon. Romememena asks for a recommendation for a nurse. The doc knows two good ones who are available. Romi says she’ll hire both, one for day and one for night. Emo is a little surprised and disapproving, but I think he should embrace the idea, because even a devoted and responsible new mother can use some help, and Romememena is neither devoted nor responsible. They agree to name the baby Bernardo after Camila’s father.

Gabriel preps the fruit and cheese while Eugenio fetches the wine and tells him about the priests saying La Loca was lying. He’s going to visit JC in the morning and try to take on the case. Gabriel asks him to be sensitive to Paloma’s delicate feelings, as she’s gotten more shocking news than she can process already in this kangaroo court.

Miriam and Ange are also drinking wine, and Ange is getting all melancholy. She’s been hanging around Emo too much. Blah, blah, blah, it’s hard to be near Orlando and see him control and steamroll another woman’s life (not exactly her words), but she’ll be leaving soon and going back to the big city anyway. “What pants you have!” says Miriam (exactly her words, directly translated). She doesn’t think she’d have the strength to live so near to, and yet so far from, a delectable dictatorly dreamboat such as Oily Orly.

Crueloca snarls at Rufi for daring to say negative things about her and get involved in the investigation. “But I just told them that you said Javier’s house was mortgaged (hipotecada) and he had debts and no money, and it didn’t make sense.” Cruel claims she had to do this to keep the secret. Paloma is now getting irate, yelling that she doesn’t understand any of them. Why all the mystery, and why didn’t Mac know about any of this? If she had, they wouldn’t have been so worried about finding money for Paloma to go to school. What good have all these shenanigans accomplished?! As usual when she is challenged, Carloca just ups the volume and claims this is all hurting her more than anyone else. Well, Paloma is mad as hell, and she is not taking it anymore. If there was all this money, she shrieks, why did Tia Loca spend all these years telling Paloma and Mac they were her charity cases and treating them badly, when it’s surely been Paloma’s money supporting them all this time? Paloma storms out and Rufi glares.

Don YouGenius and Gabriel meet Juan Cris at the prison and tell him that Germy is a lousy lawyer and is under Carlota’s thumb besides. Eugenio offers to represent him. JC is more worried about Natalia, and Eugenio says not to worry; he will represent her also. You can tell Don E is a better lawyer already, because he wants to hear about JC and Carlota’s entire history. Cris isn’t sure about switching counsel.

Paloma is back at the hospital, wearing a blue gown and hat and breathing right in the baby’s face. Romina apparently didn’t get the 3-way-custody schedule, because she appears and demands to know what Paloma is doing holding HER baby. Paloma does her best Bambi eyes and stammers that she loves newborns and didn’t think Romina would mind. So Romi does a 180 and says it’s so nice that Paloma still cares about her and her family, when she thought Paloma would hate the baby for separating her from Emiliano. Meanwhile, Emiliano has been SOOO affectionate lately, and finally Romina has the loving happy family she wanted. Gosh, if only you could find such a man and this happiness for yourself, dear friend, Romina smirks.

Rafael and Joel: business, blah, blah, Joel’s afraid because everything is going so well for him it must just be fixing to go bad, don’t be afraid, you deserve it all.

Luz sees her favorite little urchin on the sidewalk. Little urchin’s name is Xochitln, and some nasty man yells at her and shakes her because she didn’t sell enough of whatever. He shoves her into a car and drives away. Luz runs after the car and hits it with her purse.

Natalia tells Ivonne that she thinks that will is absurd. However, if it was valid, does that mean that Carlota had nothing to do with Alonso’s death? Ivonne still thinks his death was an accident. Natalia says maybe, but what was he doing in Pachuca? She gives Ivonne a letter and the photo to give to little Sagrario. Ivonne tells her to stop being such a pessimist. Soon she’ll be home and can tell Sagrario everything in person. Nat is not convinced, and says if things don’t work out, she wants Sagrario to think her mother is dead. Has anyone told her yet that her father is dead?

Cris paces his cell and asks God why Carlota can get away with whatever she wants and hurt everyone. He’s sure she’s bought Germy off, but he’s going to give the slimy slacker a chance to redeem himself.

Natalia wants Ivonne to adopt Sagrario and take all Nat’s assets to raise her, rather than letting her daughter find out that mom is accused of killing dad to run off with another man. We get a lingering look at the back cover of the photo, which refuses to cooperate and fall off.

Carlota smugly reminisces about her perjury and says out loud that she hasn’t given up hope that Cris will get so lonely in prison that he’ll accept her conjugal visits. Uh, Loca? He was a priest. I think he’s fine with celibacy.

Dastardly Dario assaults Miriam in a parking lot back in the city and threatens that she and Ange are going to pay.

Back at the studio, Eugenio says he thinks Cris doesn’t want to hurt Germán’s career, so he’ll give him one last chance, and then let the lawyer who actually has a little skill take over. He notices Gabe is looking better and smiling. Gabriel says he’s decided to declare his love for Paloma. He wants to live simply and honestly, even just for a moment. Dad is surprised but happy.

Romina tries to brainwash the baby into hating Paloma (who has departed). She calls Emiliano at work and tells him she’s holding Bernito; he’s so snuggly (he is in the incubator and she is not even touching or looking at him). The baby starts to cry and Emo asks if that is their little Bernito. Of course not, says Ro, it’s another baby. She thanks Emo for giving her the best gift ever. He looks conflicted.

Mean guy pulls up in front of some modest dwelling and Xochitln runs inside and cowers on her bed. Mean guy immediately hits the bottle and yells at her some more. She hasn’t sold anything, which is why he hasn’t been able to drink for two days! (Am I misunderstanding him? He’s got a bottle right there, and he’s swilling freely). Luz has followed them and she eavesdrops.

Gabriel’s bravado has evaporated. Now he is huddled on the floor, worrying that it is not fair to Paloma to have a relationship with her when he knows he is going to leave. Eugenio says they have no idea when he’ll go, they thought it would be years ago but he is still here. They keep using irse, to go, not to die or anything. Why can’t they just say what is wrong with him? Until they actually say, I am now deciding that he is going to be called into service by the Israeli army, and whatever made him collapse is incidental. Anyway, Eugenio thinks he should just go for Paloma, and if he persists she’ll decide she loves him eventually. That sounds stalkerific.

Orlando/Angélica/Emiliano confab. Orlando: It seems like Germán is defending Carlota more than Cris. Ange: Didn’t I say I thought he was too inexperienced? Emo: I agree. He’s doing a lousy job of defending the padre. Also I don’t trust him. Ange: We need to find another lawyer.

Germy visits Carlota at home, claiming he came to see Paloma. He compliments Cruel’s cool-as-a-cucumber perjury skills. Even innocent people are more nervous than that! Anyway, he wants to let Paloma know that he’ll take her to visit Cris at noon tomorrow. La Loca gets all yelly and says he has to cancel the appointment. The two of them can NOT see each other!

Luz peeks through the windows until DrunkDad passes out. She sneaks in and rushes Xochi out to her car. DrunkDad wakes up and stumbles after them, yelling “she’s mine!” as Luz peels out.

Madeleine worries that it might be too late to help Cris. Eugenio tries to reassure her.

Rafa and Joel are interrupted in their chatter by Luz, who requests that Rafa meet her at the apartment ASAP.

Orlando brings Camila an orchid, because he thinks of her all the time. He only cares about what she wants, he claims, so he’s willing to compromise and go on a shorter honeymoon. Then, eventually, they will move to the U.S. “WHAT?! NO.” He actually seems surprised that she doesn’t want to move. “Business. Daughter. Grandson. Home,” she spells out for him. She’s okay with taking short trips wherever he wants to go, but she is not moving away. Orly looks perplexed that she’s making this so difficult. After he brought her an orchid and everything!

Ivonne flails into Doc B’s office, crying about her talk with Natalia. Doc B empathizes but thinks the case may be hopeless. She gives him the letter and photo, and again we linger on the back of the frame. Someone drop that and break the glass already.

Paloma sits in the park and sketches. Emiliano sits across the park and doesn’t see her. Some young lady gets out of a taxi and calls to him. “Anamar!” he says. They smile and hug tightly. Paloma sees and is impactada.

Coming attractions: Germán sees Romina flirting with Gabriel and gets all jealous, and later forcefully kisses Romi, right out in public as usual.

Julia thanks for a quick and fun filled recap.

Finally everyone is seeing that German needs to be replaced. He is so smug after the way he talk to Padres Benito and Mateo. I hope we get to see him replaced this week.

I'm hoping Dr.B drops the picture and the letter falls out after the frame is broken.

Paloma good tell Carloca off and keep it up.

Paloma by the previews from yesterday has no right to be jealous of Emiliano.

RoMEna you had the nerve to call Paloma a golfa once but you really need to look in the mirror.Any guy she finds attractive she hits on especially if they are interested in Paloma.

Luz it's not smart to go to a abusive drunk guy's house all by yourself.

Cris Que the heck? You are giving German one last chance even though you suspect him of screwing you over? What are you waiting to be on death row to change lawyers.

Dario abusing women because you are confronted by them for stealing their book ideas and pretending you wrote it.I can't wait to see your down fall too.

Hi Julia. Thanks for the recap. I saw bits and pieces of this while watching the Buckeye game. Glad to see one couple reunited and "deliriously happy", loved "debatable charms" of Dario, and oh my goodness..."night has fallen and it can't get up". Thanks funny lady.

Thanks for the recap. Again with the music last night, oh, and son calling from college, so I missed a lot of dialogue.

I agree: What the He__ Cris? You admit Germy is a screw-up and probably bought off by La Loca, but I'll stick with him. That was th stupidest decision! I think we can be safe in assuming Eugenio will still step in to save the day at some point, but now it looks like we put up Slimeball.

Wow, Romena is the gift that keeps on giving. That girl just' can't be happy with what she has. She still is going after Gabe, from what the previews show, and lip-locking Germy on the street corner (and more than likely she loves every minute of it.) Little Leopard is not changing her spots and she wants to have whatever Pal has and more. Gees, with friends like that...

Anon, agree about the picture. Again, we viewers know there's something in the frame, so someone open it already. Poor Dr. B seems to be burdened with everyone's secrets so let's hope he finds it soon.

And a special word to the writers, don't you DARE turn our Gabriel into the new debbie-downer. And spill already on his condition...leaving, fainting, heart-clutching, I think we've gotten the point already. He's sick, he's doomed, the anvil will fall before the end, just give us the facts already.

Off to work after a four-day weekend. Argh!

Julia...too funny...It is a kangaroo court! LOL...I think he is fine with celibacy! Thanks for the recap. ITA with the nurse. Poor Baby Benardo will be sitting in dirty diapers, hungry and crying for hours ALL day without one...besides she needs her free time to flirt with Gabe.

I am despising Romeena every day. She is like a jagged shard of glass and no matter which direction she moves toward Paloma, she just cuts her deeper and deeper. I don't know why the writers are giving us hints of a softer side to just yank her right back in to her hateful, vengeful, jealous, and egotistical self.

I am with everyone else who just wants that picture to slide out of someone's hands (except Carloca's)
because in this TN she could end up with that info and triumph once again. Maybe Macarena's ghost can lend that picture a hand and she can gently push it off the table or pull it out of someone's hand. I am grasping at straws here.

Thanks for the enjoyable recap, Julia.

I want Gabriel to be happy for whatever time he has left, but not with Paloma. She has suffered too many losses already to have a new doomed love in her life. She's mournful enough as it is. He'd be better off with a free spirit, someone with a "live for the moment" philosophy.

Hate to agree with Carloca but I don't think her presence on the stand was needed. The point was that Cris and Natalia were at Natalia's house with a group and the topic happened to be Carloca. It was more the group that mattered than the topic. They should have called Dr. B. and Rufi to verify that these meetings actually took place. So, for instance, if they had been discussing the Super Bowl, they would have called the players to the stand? It just made no sense as a way to refute or support Natalia's explanation of why Cris was at her house.

I don't know about in Real de M., but in most places Luz would be considered a kidnapper, not a rescuer.

Loved how the baby opened his eyes when Romina was trying to brainwash him about Paloma. He was like, "whaaat?".

Jackie

Judy already noted my favorite quote "night has fallen and it can't get up" but "Padre Cadre", "delectably dictatorly dreamboat" and "stalkerific" were great. Wonderful recap Julia.

Anon, I'm glad you and others share my frustration that the letter in the picture still hasn't been found.

Enjoyed the comments on Romina - daisynjay's "little leopard" and Carlita's comparing Romina to a jagged shard of glass.

Jackie, good to see your post. Your comment about Paloma and Gabe's relationship was insightful and true. What exactly is Luz and Gabe's relationship? If they aren't related, she would certainly bring a great spirit into the relationsihp. I fear Gabe and Paloma are fated to be together, at least temporarily.

Has slimy Sam skipped town yet?

Orlando seemed truly overjoyed to find out Emiliano was his son. Now that he's found him, why has he decided to move to another country, especially as his grandson has just arrived? I think he's basically a good (although self centered person) overall, but above and beyond that, to expect Camila to give up her family and business is extraordinarily selfish.

Diana

Diana, talk about being selfish. Orlando actually had the nerve to ask Emiliano to change his and the baby's last name to Ferrer.

~Caborita

Caborita, you are absolutely right. Cares enough to request the name change (as if!) but doesn't care enough to stay. Guess it would give him even more bragging rights.

Diana

I didn't know kidnapping was recommended by the Free Spirit Handbook, either. Seems like being in jail would hamper your free-spiriting a bit. And what exactly does Luz plan to do with this little girl?

I guess maybe this will set back the defense of Cris and Natalia even more--Eugenio will be distracted not only by Gabriel's health, but he'll probably also feel obliged to deal with Luz's legal troubles.

Julia, you are too funny. Thank you for the recap.

I was hoping for Ivonne to get really angry and throw the picture against the wall, but now it's up to little Sagrario to play hard with the picture and save her mother.

I'm wondering if Romina will shift her focus from Paloma with the new hottie in picture.

maria

In a rare defense of Orlando the obsessed he isn't going to Houston because he wants to. As I recall he protested when the idea came up but he wants to advance his business so he is off. I honestly can not see why he hangs on to Camila or for that matter why Rafi is so hot for her. It is obvious to anyone with a brain (oops forgot we are in Unreal del Monte) that Camila's entire focus is always going to be on her spoiled brat daughter, followed by Monster Mite and her biz. Guy who gets her stands in 4th place.

I think the preening genius twosome has made a bad error. Germs has a tiger by the tail with Carloca and doesn't realize it. All along he figures he's in for life with big bucks coming his way and seems to have forgotten that the bucks belong to Paloma. If I was him I'd be mighty careful not to eat or drink anything Miss Purple gives him.

As for the Queen of Mean those pictures of her with Cris have to come back to haunt her. We are guessing they are in the envelope that the judge got before the trial and hasn't looked at. If he opens it and sees what they suggest he is going to know that she lied on the stand when she said she had barely ha any contact with the good padre. If she lied about that - why not about Inaki.

Speaking of pictures it is actually a good thing that Nat gave he picture to Ivonne. It would have looked suspicious if she had found Alonzo's letter herself. This way someone on the outside has the evidence. With about 50 episodes or so to go I'm not counting on that letter being found any time soon. Unfortunately.

I wish that Don E would go to the priests and asked them what they meant about Carloca and her lies. He needs to start putting the pieces together if he is going to save Father Noble.

Nice line about poor Paloma getting so many shocks at the trial and little did Gabe know that some much worse ones are out there like ticking time bombs.

No matter what happens it looks like Romina will never be truly reformed. She is just too needy and like the purple Devil is way over estimating her charms.

I don't think Luz is going to get in trouble for rescuing the little girl. Didn't someone say that she is just one of a group of street kids who are being mistreated. If thw child ever speaks we might know for sure. I also think the little girl was begging, not trying to sell something when that lout grabbed her. Was he the same guy that Gabe smacked back when he saw some perv trying to grab the little girl?

The way I see it the new girl is just a school friend of Mopesalot and nothing for Paloma to get upset about.

Jackie LOL you saw the same thing too about the baby, i was like this girl just does not get it.She a young version of Diana and Carloca combined.

I hope the new girl will make Emiliano wake up and decide to get that DNA test done.Besides if he stays with RoMEna the older the child gets the more it will look like German.

Carlita right on target description of how RoMEna realy is. Sometimes those scenes of vulnerability make you want to like her again and see that she gets the help she needs,

For her to keep mentally being cruel to really the only friend she has ever had is sick.

German down fall can't come soon enough for me, he's still not picking up that one Paloma does not trust him and believes he lied about his relationship with RoMEna.

Two after what happen between her RoMEna and Emiliano she is not going to repeat that mistake again with German. Three she doesn't see German or like German like that.

I wonder if Carloca would be that stupid of sending those pictures of her and Cris to the Prosecutor.

No the guy who grabbed the little girl last night is not the same creepy guy Gabriel saw that night he saw the little girl sitting on the curb.

Diana, Sam seemed to be all packed but they didn't show him hightailing it out of there yet. Tee hee, I just cannot wait until Diana finds out she's been had. But hopefully, she'll sign the divorce papers first.

Little XO was begging, but in a half-hearted way. I will say, she's very neat and clean for a street urchin.

Unfortunately, it's probably too soon for the hidden letter to be found. Carlota probably has a few more tricks up her purple sleeve.

Anon, wouldn't Carloca be admitting perjury if those pictures came out, as she testified that she only has had a "respectful" relationship with Cris.

And Julia, that Captain Kangaroo reference was so clever.

Jackie

Anon
Yes Carlotta would have to admit to perjury but I think she originally sent the pictures so that JC's reputation would be ruined and then he would be free for her - a fate he considers worse than death. I'm willing to bet she thought the judge would see the pictures, add up the "relationship" with Nat and the later hints about Mac and convict him. Since she never goes to court her reputation as the Miss Morality of RdeM would remain intact. Since she didn't know about the Gang of Five she could never have figured she would be dragged in to testify. Now it remains to be seen if we will ever know what is in the envelope or if it will remain one of those annoying red herrings in novelas.

Yes Jackie she would be admitting or shall we say had committed perjury if she really did send those pictures to the Prosecutor.

That's why i don't think she did but i could be wrong, remember when German objected with his line og questioning towards Carloca.

He said maybe it's not two people who should be on trial but three. This guy is not as inexperienced as German and no one's fool either.

The little girl did seem to be very neat and clean and yes i agree Luz has turned into a kidnapper and may get arrested for her actions.

She should called some Child services for possible abuse instead of interfering without knowing all of the facts.

She is a free spirit who doesn't think about her actions too much.

Great recap, Julia. Especially since I forgot about the earlier hour and tuned in late.

I have an idea how they might find the letter in the photo. When Ivonne brings the photo and letter to little Sagario, she will explain what Nat wrote in the letter, and since she is so young, they will probably slip Nat's letter behind the photo for her to read when she is older and it will bring the letter to light.

But who knows when.

Ann-NYC

Julia I love our snarky, sharp recaps!

Hey, all that has to happen is that ANYBODY drops the picture frame. We don't have to wait for it to get into the hands of Sagrario. Last night I was praying that Ivonne or Bermudez would drop it on what is almost always a tile floor in Mexico and it would break in a gazillion pieces forcing them to change the frame and then...

Dona Gringuita

Julia – such a fun read! I always sit here with a big smile on my face when I’m reading your recaps. So many wonderful, funny nuggets.

Jackie – I think the reason Carlota had to testify is that it came out that Alonso thought she’d done in Inaki, and maybe there was some question of whether consequently she’d done in Alonso, so she was a suspect in one or both murders.

She proved (for the moment) that there was nothing bad in the will, and that she liked Inaki.

I couldn’t believe that Luz’s idea of sneaking up on a house was to park her car in front of it. If Luz keeps the little girl, then she’s going to have to stay in a close relationship, which will be wake-up time for her.

If Gabriel is going to declare himself to Paloma, then, as an honorable fellow, he will have to tell her about his probably fatal illness.

Excellent recap, Julia. You had so many great lines in there. Really liked "she'll be smelling sulfur soon enough"!

I don't think Carlota sent the photos to the fiscal (prosecutor). Those were meant for her attempts to get Cris to promise to be her hombre if she gives him an alibi using them. I'm leaning toward her writing up the background of Cris and Macarena as scandal so this can show him to be a bad guy. Unless I missed something, how else did the prosecutor know all that stuff that happened decades ago?

I also think it's too soon for Arcadia's letter tucked in the back of the picture frame to be discovered. It reveals Arcadia having seen Carlota buy the bella donna and that Arcadia is sure she killed him to keep him away from Paloma. Even in non-CSI RdM, someone would have to start questioning the seller of herbal remedies at that market. It would be hard to forget those purple shadowed eyes!

Orly's plan to haul Camila off to the states came out sooner than I expected. I was stunned he wanted to steal the apellido of both Bernardito AND Emo from Rafael. I'm starting to think Ange deserves better.

Julia, your recaps are always so clever and fun. Thank you.

What has happened to finding Carmen... a very short attention span by Club Paloma? Rufi mentioned Carmen last night and Dr. B said he would be working on tracking her down but that was eons ago. Since they think something is fishy with the inheritance papers making Paloma wait for her money until she's 21, someone needs to try very hard to contact her. What is Carmen doing, traveling around the world without a cellphone or checking in at home in Spain? She knows what was in the original papers which gave Pal access to her money at 18. However, she probably didn't make a copy of the papers. so it's Carmen's word against La Loca and La Loca's corrupt lawyers. But she would challenge Loca's credibility.

GinCA

It's so funny and irritating: FELS...open the d*** box, ENDA...open the d*** manila envelope and now torture with Sagario's photo/picture frame.

GinCA

GinCa i was wondering the same thing myself concerning Carmen where the heck is she? Why doesn't call her house to see what is going on.

I'm hoping Eugenio will speed up the process because you see how long it took for most of them to decide that German is not qualified to be in charge of this case.

Great recap and comments! I just want to ad that I'm wondering when something will come out about Sam seeing La Loca in the hospital. They put that in there for a reason, I'm sure, but right now I don't see how it will show up - maybe another chink in Loca's armor.

Also, I can't help but think of the Teletubbies sun coming up whenever they show the sun rising over Unreal Del Monte! I expect to see the laughing baby in the middle of it.

Great recap. I'm sure Luz had good intentions by taking the little street child home to her apartment, but then there's this thing called kidnapping, which I'm sure, Drunk Daddy will press charges for!

When did I miss the part when Angie develops a big streamy crush on Orlando? It must have been around the same time when Dario stole her book, then cheated on her w/ another woman. Guess the writers have offcially run out of material for her character. And the plot well for Diana is drying up quickly too. lol

PS I really hope Emil' new lady friend is the begining to the end of his ill-fated relationship w/ Romi & stalkerish/jealous/ controlling tendencies with Pal. Maybe she'll be just what he needs to get over Pal for good and dump Romena. Aren't there any nice normal guys in Real de Monte? Lili seemed to have found one with her new bf, but seriously, writers, where's Pal's guy?

the writers would have to screw us over by setting up the story where the guy she loves is taken and the other guy she's not interested in, is sick, possibly terminally ill. gosh, I wish they'd stop torturing us and just show a sliver of chemistry between Gabe and Pal, just so Pal gets these 'I'll die with out Emiliano' thoughts out of her head! Even better, let them hug or even kiss right in front of Emil when they don't know he's around.

Angie has been smitten with Orlando since around the time she started working for him, which was long before the book fiasco. She even told him how she felt once, but he stuck with Camila.

Then, Ange got kicked out of Ines's house for her part in getting Aaron run out of town, so Orlando encouraged her to come live with him. Supposedly she was going to live in his guest house, but she seems to have made herself right at home.

We just need a miracle cure for Gabriel's condition. No problem, right? His heart can't be that bad; he sprinted up to the top of the clock tower in like ten seconds to save Paloma from jumping.
