ENDA Tuesday March 2. Romina just can’t take it anymore, and she flips out.
New: Emiliano visits Germán at the jail. Germy begs him to back up his story and get him out of jail. No can do, says Emo. Emiliano won’t perjure himself and Germs is guilty, so suck it up and do the time, buddy. Emiliano also blames Germy for Alonso’s death, since it may have been prevented if Germs had told people about the will changes. Germán still asks for help. Aren’t they friends? “I thought we were friends. But you proved you are no friend. You and Romina were well suited; you both only think of yourselves.” With tears streaming down his face, Germy asks Emiliano to look out for Bernardito. Emo says of course he will.
Camila returns home, where Romina is still crying on the sofa, and reports that the orphanage office was closed, but she’s going back first thing in the morning to see about getting Bernie back. Romina sobs that she just couldn’t handle it when the nurse told her she had to take care of him, so she thought it was best to give him away. Cami is livid. “Most mothers have times when they think they can’t handle it. But they try, and they learn. You’d better pray that Bernie is safe and sound, because if he isn’t…”
Rafa and Luz are at the police station, getting the report that there’s been no luck in finding Xochitl. Rafa tries to get Luz to go home and rest, since there’s nothing they can do. People in telenovelas never seem to try very hard to find missing people. Have they never heard of the old recruit-everyone-you-can-find-to-help-search technique? Emiliano comes out from the jail and asks what they’re doing there.
Gabriel and Paloma arrive at the hospital and Rufi and Eugenio give them the report: Carlota is out of surgery, but they won’t know for 24 hours what the prognosis is. Eugenio has reported everything to the police. Paloma decides to go to the chapel to pray for Auntie Maim, even though she doesn’t deserve it, and Rufi goes with her.
Finally Rafa and Luz have a flier about the missing kidlet, and Emo offers to make copies of it and distribute it and get his soccer team to help.
Romina tosses and turns in bed, dreaming about her son crying that his mother abandoned him and doesn’t love him. She startles awake, panting, “No!”
Repeating montage of scenes: PJC looking pensive. Carlota unconscious with monitors beeping. Eugenio at home, looking worried and thinking hard.
The next morning, Camila wears an ugly shirt that doesn’t fit and says she’s going to get Bernie. Romina, sitting sadly in front of her untouched breakfast, asks if she may come, too. Those nightmares must have really affected her, because she says she wants to bring the baby home, but she is afraid. Can she be redeemed so easily? They head out.
Rufi is in church, praying. She says she’s lived for so long with an angel and a devil, with love and hate, but she knows light always overcomes the darkness in the end. She prays for Carlota.
Paloma, Madeleine, and Cris eat breakfast. Cris feels sorry for Rufi, because she loved Carlota despite her awfulness, and it’s so hard on her to discover just how bad La Loca is. Madeleine, echoing the audience, says death would have been too good for Crueloca. She needs to suffer a lot more first. Cris doesn’t approve of that judgmental attitude. “Well, it’s true,” says Mad. “Do you think Auntie Maim will leave us alone, now that the truth has been discovered?” asks Paloma. “Yes, I do. She will never hurt anyone again,” says Cris. “For sure,” says Madeleine. The music disagrees.
Gabriel gives the wedding invitations to a messenger to deliver. As soon as the messenger leaves, Gabriel has severe pains and staggers over to the cabinet for his medicine. (Dude! Pocket!) He collapses to the floor. He had better not die tonight. I don’t have my jumbo box of tissues on hand.
Carlota is still asleep, and her room is guarded. However, the guards do not accompany the nurse inside to check on her. Carlota grabs the nurse’s wrist.
Paloma takes flowers to Macarena’s grave and sobs about how much Cruelota robbed them of.
The nurse brings the doctor in to look at Carlota. The doctor somehow thinks she merits her own personal nurse at all times.
Romina and Camila ask the orphanage director to give the baby back. The lady is not pleased with the situation. Romina blames her little baby-abandonment oopsie on post-partum depression. Also, her husband abandoned her, and the baby is sick. So, you know, who wouldn’t hand the kid over to a policeman for a break? Orphanage lady is not inclined to give the kid back to a mother with obvious mental issues, but Camila says she’ll take charge. She begs, please please please.
Eugenio gives his evidence of Carlota’s evil deeds to the police guy. Policeman says as soon as Carlota can be released from the hospital, they’ll put her in prison and begin the trial. She’ll probably never get out. By the way, her lawyer Germy is also in jail, for fraud. “I’m not surprised,” says Don E.
Luz trudges around town, handing out fliers and asking about Xochitl and the boozy abuser. The boozy abuser, wearing a clever disguise of cowboy hat and neckerchief, has Xochi hidden in a flower cart.
Crueloca opens her eyes and asks what happened. “You fell over the stair railing and you’re badly hurt,” says the doc. “I have to get out of here,” says Cruel. “Nope,” says the doc. Cruel remembers her awesome flip over the railing in front of the awestruck crowd. 9.3 from the Russian judge; big deduction on the landing. Would have liked to see more disfigurement. The doctor stabs Carlota all over to check her nerves. She can’t feel anything in her legs, and she can’t move her feet. La Loca panics.
PJC finds Rufi in the hospital lobby, waiting for news. Cris feels that maybe he could have somehow prevented some of the deaths, at least Mac’s. Rufi laments that Carlota was so smart, she could have done amazing things if she had chosen good instead of evil. Eugenio shows up, and the doctor tells them all that Cruel is out of danger but is paralyzed.
Carlota frantically tries to move her legs. Out in the lobby, everyone seemed shocked and wonders how Carlota will overcome this setback. People! We do not want her to overcome it! Rufi for some reason wants to see the crazy old witch, but the doc says she wants to talk with Cris.
Gabriel apparently recovered. He and Paloma are helping search for Xochi. Some young girls offer to help.
Camila and Romina have Bernie at home. Romina cries and says she doesn’t think she’ll be a good mother. Cami assures her she can learn. Romina actually holds the baby and seems inclined to change. She agrees the kiddo will live there with Camila. Cami tells her not to mention a word of the abandonment to anyone, because if Emiliano finds out he could take Bernie away.
Paloma and Gabriel offer to go to Pachuca and continue asking about Xochi there. Emo and Chava try to reassure Luz that she’s not a terrible mother.
The police are stopping cars leaving town and searching them. The boozy abuser rearranges the foliage on his bicycle flower cart and evades the checkpoint.
Cris asks Cruel why she killed Mac and tried to kill Paloma. “Because that is how I could hurt you the most,” says Crueloca. She opens her eyes and says, “You’re a priest again?” which makes no sense because she already knew that. Well, I guess they haven’t chatted since he led the mass and she had a hissy fit in the choir loft. They didn’t exactly have time for socializing as she plunged to the floor. Cris tells her she will never be able to hurt anyone again, because she’s going to prison and she’ll never get out. “I’ve lived in a prison since I met you. Bars won’t stop me,” says La Loca. “We’re all leaving and getting far away from you,” says Cris. “Wherever you are, I will find you,” says Cruel. Maggie’s bassos let us know how they feel.
Gabriel has apparently talked to Don E. He tells Paloma her auntie is paralyzed.
The nurse tells Cruel that she’s being guarded. Also, Rufi wants to see her. Well, Cruel refuses to see Rufi. She wants to see Eugenio. Make it happen! The nurse is unruffled by her threats.
Natalia and Ivonne catch Rodolfo up on the latest drama. He’s looking pretty perky.
Eugenio visits Carlota:
C: I need my lawyer here.
E: I am no longer your lawyer. Don’t count on me.
C: Weren’t you in love with me?
E: Yes, but I can’t defend someone who could murder, someone who mocks my feelings and abuses my trust.
C: Give me another chance. I assure you I am repentant.
E: Do you really think I would believe you?
C: If you have any feeling left for me, think what we could do together. I would live dedicated to you.
E (flabbergasted): Your “love” for Cristóbal led you to lie, deceive, and kill. You destroy everything you touch. I actually did see something in you. Behind your hard, controlling shell, I saw a woman who was lonely and needed love. A vulnerable woman with a hard mask to hide her weakness.
C: I am not weak.
E: Yes, you are weak. Your intelligence is undeniable, but in your heart there is nothing but hate.
C: Help me. I’ll give you whatever you want if you get me out of here.
E: I don’t want anything. In the trial, I’ll be in charge of prosecuting you.
Carlota is not happy.
Romina sits on a bed, thinking that even though she wants to, she can’t feel anything for her baby. Why is it that others can, and she can’t? No one has ever loved her, except her mother. She cries and writes a note asking her mother to forgive her, but she can’t go on like this.
PJC has finished his communion rounds at the hospital and finds Rufi still sitting in the lobby, upset because Carlota won’t see her. She’s distraught because she was taught to be loyal to the patrones, and she promised the parents that she would take care of Macarena and Carlota, and she has failed. Cris assures her that she did everything possible, and the choices Carlota made are not her fault. Plus, she did a great job with Paloma. Rufi is sad because Paloma won’t need her anymore, but Cris says Paloma wants her, and that’s even better. He says Rufi is part of his family, like the adored auntie he never had. They hug. Awwww.
Camila goes home, and the nurse gives her the letter from Romina:
Mom, I can’t take anymore. I can’t stay here. I know you won’t approve, but there’s nothing else I can do. I can’t love Bernardo even though he is my son, probably because he is not a child of love, but of a moment of passion. My life in Real del Monte has no meaning without Emiliano’s love, so I am leaving. Please, take care of my son, and love him as if you were his mother. I’m sure you will do it much better than I would. Finally, although you don’t believe it, I love you, and having you is the best thing that has happened in my life. Don’t forget me. I love you. Romina.
Romina drives down the highway crying, and Camila sobs. “You can’t do the same thing your father did, Romina! Not you!”
Romina recovers fast, and makes eyes at a young man who is passing her. He flirts back. They continue their dangerous game, smiling at each other and passing each other at high speed in no-passing zones with blind curves, hardly watching the road. So, obviously, Romina eventually swerves to avoid an oncoming truck and her car rolls over and stops upside down.

I thought the final indication that she was unredeemable was when she sneered and said she didn't want to see "that criada". Bad Carlota. Poor Rufi. Glad Cristobal hugged her and made it all better.
Romina's been awful but I really didn't want to see her die in a crash. I mean, she hasn't killed anyone. But nor do I want her to be an invalid and requiring more care from her momma. Jeez, what DO I want?
Great recap title. Wonderful job on the detail which I needed missing a few minutes here and there of the show last night because of phone calls. When will people learn to leave me alone at 7:00 :)!
So our wonderfully unscarred, fully quaffed and madeup La Loca, though sans signature lipstick, is still her beligerent self.Guess brain cells weren't affected either. So I guess that confirms she is still available to cause some major damage to someone (Agh Gabe!! - 2:1 odds being taken). Everyone will THINK she can't walk and...well I think viewervile can figure out the rest.
I have to agree that it was a bit much watching everyone hand-wringing over Her Purpleness. Kudos to Maggie for being the only one being honest and wanting her to fry. I suppose we have to see that they are all much better people and wouldn't think of ill of her even knowing what they do. I'm with Maggie, I say fry.
Was anyone else bothered by the Xochi scenes. I'm sorry, acting or no, even putting that little one in the cart with the gag and tied was not cool. She looked genuinely uncomfortable. I don't want to see one more scene like that...better find her fast & resolve the storyline. Camilla is going to need Rafa anyway.
Bye bye Germy. I like to think once he serves his term he'll be a better man.
As fo mini-Loca, I don't think her flip will be the end of her. That would be a little extreme for her "crimes". Wonder if she'll suffer a symbolic fate - lose her beauty, become handicap and rely on people taking care of her like bernardo needs to be taken care of...something along those lines. Curious how they'll resolve.
My Gabe is now moving to more frequent attacks which shows his heart condition is deteriorating. he's not sharing with anyone right now, not even dear dad. I think I better get those stored kleenex boxes out early, I'm thinking there is going to be a major Eugenio-Gabe talk coming up. I barely got through the last one.
I just wish he would have gotten a different fate - applause to Elias for portraying the character so well we would rather he survivie and marry our girl than the chosen galan.
I yelled the same thing at my tv too. Dammit Gabe, keep your meds in your packet! The writers are definitely setting us up to not be too shocked/angered when Gabe bites the dust. We are supposed to feel it's inevitable. I don't care. I will still be sad. I want him to live, darn it.
I thought I saw Romeme's car explode after it flipped, but maybe that was just wishful thinking. If it exploded, then she's a goner. I don't know how they will resolve that whole storyline. They gave her multiple opportunities to be redeemed and she did not take them. Just like Germy had muiltiple chances. I know we didn't think they would kill Camilla's child, but I'm starting to not be so sure, and now she has Bernardo...
Thanks for the masterful recap amiga!
Guess that's it for Germy. No more Germs? So what is it for RoMEE, death? Disfigurement? Paralysis? Scare of her life? The scare wouldn't do anything. There she was feeling bad driving down the road and a guy comes along and she's just the same RoMEE. Interesting to see what is in store.
But.. man, what kind of cheap effects was that scare flip? Looked like a godzilla movie it was such a cheap little toy car flipping. Guess they had to do that to save money as they went over budget on the purple eyeshadow. :)
When Carlota grabbed the nurse, I thought she was perhaps going to take the nurse out (hey, super purple power!) and put on her uniform, then just walk out the door past stupid guards. But.. no. Then, I thought perhaps she was faking it when she said she couldn't feel anything in her legs. But.. no. Looks like she is paralyzed. I thought it was funny when the doctor was poking her hands. Seems like the nurse could tell him, hey, she grabbed me. She has feeling in her hands. :)
Seems too early to stop the purple rage, so Carloca still has to cause some havoc. I was trying to picture her chasing people around in her wheel chair. Didn't seem too frightening, but funny. "I'm going to get you, going to run you over!". I have to think she'll get feeling back, hide it from everyone and then go on one last purple rampage.
Glad to see that Eugenio went to Oz and got back his brain since the previous show.
In that montage flipping between Eug, Car, and PJC, always expected Carloca's eyes to pop open, but they didn't.
Julia, love your snarkiness.
"Dude! Pocket!"
"awesome flip over the railing in front of the awestruck crowd. 9.3 from the Russian judge; big deduction on the landing. Would have liked to see more disfigurement."
"People! We do not want her to overcome it!"
Rufi and Camila are really suffering. I couldn't believe Rufi was at the hospital but then realized Rufi is blaming herself for what happened, which of course couldn't be further from the truth.
Kudos to the writers for the continuing, unexpected plot developments. Romina seemed to be inching closely to redemption last night but it made sense that didn't happen. The truth is she was never going to be a good mother. The crash however was a surprise and as I've said all along, whatever happens to Romina is going to be devastating for Camila. Basta!
daisy, I thought Carlota did have sensation in her legs and was lying to the doctor. But, she does seem to be paralyzed, at least for the moment. I'm not counting out an amazing recovery just in time to "off" one of our main characters though.
Vivi, I agree. If there's any hope for salvation, let's hope it's Gabe.
Jeff, I miss Germs already. I don't think in the scheme of things he was that awful. A "white collar" criminal but he didn't intentionally hurt or kill anyone.
Diana
Diana
German is involved in criminal activities despite it being white collar. He scams on young high school girls. I don't know if there is a law in Mexico against statutory rape or what the age of consent is there. So it is hard to speculate.
I just see some good in Romina. I think Rufi said to Carlota to repent because she has benn a good religious person who really loved her. And being agood catholic that she is, loves her enemies. Same with Padre Cristobal giving her a blessing because that is what priests do. They don't discriminate and judge and leave that up to God.
I think Carlota is really paralyzed. And the rest of 5 hours will be devoted to finding Xochitl,Recovering Romina and seeing how she survives, Gabriel finally dying,Resolution of Who camila goes to. Will Rafael actually finally marry Luz or Camila? Bernardo and Xochitl could make up a very unconventional family if Rafael remains un married and has Luz and Camila stay together. A big stretch, I know. ;) :) **Big Grin**
Then we have the trial of Carlota who is wheelchair bound like Madeleine. Wheelchair fight anyone? J/K I guess we get to see Emiliano and Paloma Marry. Or another scenario, Paloma marries Gabriel and they flash forward anos despues and Gabriel dies and Paloma marries Emiliano. **Shrugs shoulders** The final hour on Sunday is mostly flasback montages of the entire series.
If it was up to me, Paloma won't get married and still live happily ever after. She is young after all. They don't have to get married. You can still have a happy ending without weddings.
Ibarramedia
Is Eugenio a prosecutor? I thought he was a defense attorney. I guess in Real de M., it doesn't matter.
I have to join the Free Xochi chorous. I hope they didn't keep that poor little actress bound and gagged like that for very long. I wonder who thought that up? Sheesh.
I did think it was realistic to have Romina admit to herself that she cannot love her baby. But her quick recovery to her old flirting ways was what turned me off. I hope she recovers and the near-death experience will be her reality check. That and some badly needed therapy.
Now hey, Carloca being paralyzed and headed for prison is waaaaaayyy too good a fate for her. I'm waiting for disfigurement, flesh-eating maggots, or being boiled in oil--something that is more like justice.
As for Gabe, there must be pockets in those jeans of yours. Going that drawer every time you have an attack just won't cut it if you're out and about in RDM.
Will RoMEANa survive? If not, at least she died while flirting which is all that matters to her.
And one last thing--I still want to know about the doily thingy that Carloca wears whenever she kills people.
Dona Gringuita
I'm quite lost on the German story, is he in jail for faking the testament, or did he do something that we don't know jet?
In any case, things look pretty hopeless for him. I was hoping they will make a family with Bernardo and Romina so that Emiliano is free of duties for Paloma, so that they can start making thousand babies, since she doesn't seem too motivated to go college, but I'm not sure if they can make it happen in time for the final episode.
And I just keep thinking that her Purple Craziness has that gun stashed. don't know how she'd get to it, but it's bugging the daylights out of me why they showed her stashing it in that bookcase versus just throwing away somewhere.
ibarramedia - the image of Mags and La Loca in a wheelchair fight almost made me spit put my soup all over my work laptop.
Abuelo from FELS, Don Agustin Acevedo can be the referee, though he no longer uses the wheelchair.
Ibarramedia
Gabe is a complete idiot for not carrying his pills with him. It looks like they are nitro and everyone I've ever heard about who takes them always carries a little pill box. Don E the genius should have thought of that years ago.
Interesting that Don E is going to be the prosecutor. Actually legally a defense attorney can be asked in some circumstances to act asa special prosecutor so him going after her isn't a stretch. I think too he is only doing it because she used him and he isn't so highly principled that he doesn't want a piece of her.
Romena is a lost cause. I almost bought her mini redemption but it is actually possible that she really is suffering from post partum depression. A lack of feeling for the child is one sign of it and as well as her reluctance to touch him. But it sure didn't take her long to get back into flirting with the first things in pants that crossed her path. As for the special effects, I just ignore them, like the pitiful fight scenes in novelas. They never look anything but cheesy.
Poor Rufi faithful to the end and blaming herself. I was glad to see Cris say that she was like an aunt to him and part of the family.
Luz and Rafa in the police station - how unreal that the police give them a flyer with Xochi's picture on it. Not to be picky but where did they get it or the kidnapper's. As someone whose family has gone through the hell of a child abduction I can tell you for certain the police never give you the flyer, the family puts it together themselves. Nice of Em to hustle off to Xerox a few thousand copies for the team to pass out.
As for the police - good grief there are a handful of police cars pulling people to the side of the road to question/search them and no one notices a flower vendor peddle up, rearrange his supplies and beat a hasty retreat? Typical telenovelaland law enforcement.
As for RoMeMe don't want her to die but what the heck kind of car action accident was that? I agree with Daisynjay and Jeff were not expecting them to give us a James Cameron special effects for this show but come on can't they could have done better than that.
Rafael and Luz are over they made a mature adult like breakup, all Rafael is doing is lending her a hand in recovering Xochitl and giving her emotional support. Too bad Emoon is not taking notes from watching the father that raise him.
Maria, German has always been doing some shady dealings concerning money as Emoon told him last night he has let his ambition and greed put him where he is at right now.I don't know if he has been paying off judges or what but from early on they showed us how unscrupulous he is.So he ended up exactly where he needs to be to straighten up his act.
I don't believe RoMeMe will die even though the car blew up, i'm thinking she may have gotten thrown from the car flipping over.
What was up with Cris carrying the Padre maintenance tool box, what exactly are the tools inside a cross, holy water and maybe a prayer cloth? Where do they sell those not at Home Depot. It was too small to carry a vampire stake though.
Carloca is too much even though she is paralyzed she is still threatening Cris.
Finally Eugenius you try to recapture your genius moniker, i don't know you still in the negative points wise with me.
Diana.. I didn't think Germy was too bad either. He had moments where he almost came back. I'm just wondering if he would have turned good if Eugenio had thrown him a bone instead of telling him completely off. I do hope this is it for Germ. He is getting what he deserves. Been doing some shady business so he should be in jail. I was just thinking though, how much do the writers want him to suffer? German is pretty. I was wondering if they may throw him in jail with Big Ugly. That wouldn't be good.
Other thing I was thinking for him, throw Carlota in jail with him. They break out together was German pushing Carloca through her revenge rounds. :)
Dona Gringuita.. Yes, I was wondering if we would find out about it and also, where is it now? Still at the house, hospital? Can't remember, did she have it on it the tussle? Seem to recall her wearing it while talking to Paloma. Carloca seemed to go to it when she was girding for battle. Onward La Loca Soldier.
I'd like to see Romina redeemed, but I really can't guess what will happen. She got so much screen time last night that it really seemed like a farewell. While she has rejected numerous chances for redemption, I thought she showed that in addition to being a spoiled brat, she really does have some serious mental issues.
I fear that Paloma and Gabriel, out driving to Pachuca, may happen upon the wreck and Paloma will be there just in time to see her former best friend die.
I like the idea of Carlota dragging herself around on her butt (no wheelchair for her) while being gnawed on by maggots.
While she suggested Angelica to be her daughter therapist at first once RoMeMe turned her down on not dealing with Angelica she should have gotten her someone else.
I would love to see Carloca crawling on her behind without the aid of a wheelchair but i would put her in a room with some starving rats instead.
Since we have only five more hours of our favorite novela they will probably have her regain feeling back in her legs so she can go after all of those she thinks has wronged her.
I still want to see her put on trial like Cris and Natalia were and for the whole town to find out how this fine upstanding citzen a pillar of the community is a sick mentally depraved serial killer and chronic liar.
We all saw how she acted when Cris told the whole congregation that Paloma was his daughter with Macarena. Carloca's power has been her lies and the secrets she wanted to be kept from others knowing the truth about Macarena and Cris and their having a child.
As long as those secrets were kept her power to control and manipulate Macarena and Paloma remained unbreakable.
Then there is lie of how sanctimonious she is and lorded it over everyone she found wanting in morals, that's another reason why i liked it when Cris told everyone at the mass with Carloca looking down from the choir area on them all.
Cris didn't allow her to continue to spread her lies about him and most importantly about Macarena. So i hope we get a trial before it's all over with La Loca being the one accused this time.
I can't see them killing off RoMeMe she hasn't killed anyone and even though she is a selfish horrible person who was on her way into becoming a mini Carloca.Perhaps her having at least Camila in her life kept her from taking the final step into becoming a disciple of Carloca's.
I could be wrong (just started taking Spanish classes in September and my 40 year old brain isn’t what it used to be) but I thought the doc said something about a tear somewhere? Maybe spinal cord? Or I could be way off…
About La Loca having her own nurse, I don’t know about hospitals in Mexico but when my husband suffered a traumatic brain injury, he was in the Neuro-ICU in the “one-on-one” room. This is for patients that need constant care and complete focus of a nurse due to near fatal conditions.
That being said, my husband was not supposed to survive the night but in true telenovela style…a miracle happened. He regained his speech, mobility and is back working a fulltime, strenuous job. So, I would not rule out the same for La Loca.
As for Germy, Don E may have to use him for a witness during the trial. In that case, it’s possible there could be a huge plea deal or flat out immunity because of what he knows.
I have to say that I am really going to miss these characters when the show is over. I will especially miss the recappers humor and insight. Thank you for all you do!
Lisa J
I didn't see the car explode, just flip over and land on the roof. I also seem to remember thinking how odd it was since Romena's car was a bright red number and the rolled car looked like a faded red junker. Then again I was busy thinking what a brat the girl is.
Welcome Lisa J! You should comment more often.
Now as for German being a material witness that very well maybe used but Eugenio if he was still smart would go and find Carmen Inaki's mother who is still on a lifetime world travel somewhere in the twilight zone.
Using Carmen would confirm that La Loca had the will changed and her motivation for killing Inaki and then Arcadia who suspected she killed Inaki.
Killing Macarena for her jealous hatred for her own sister because of Cris and Paloma but also because she didn't want to be left alone. Then killing Alonso who found out from Arcadia's letter what happened to her and Inaki.
The only reason i can see them using German is because they are going to try to redeemed him and make him realize to appreciate that you don't have to offer just money and material things for your child but just unconditional love.
Oh, Romina. Last night did feel a bit like a eulogy for her. Her letter to Camila sounded awfully final. It would be so sad for Bernardo to grow up without ever knowing any love from his mother. He's the reason I hope she doesn't die.
I really don't want Gabriel to die either. They keep warning us he has a foot in the grave but I'm going to stay in denial for as long as possible. Losing Iñaki was hard enough.
Rufi is such a sweetheart. She sees herself a semi mother figure for Carlota, which is interesting considering Carlota's "nobody ever loved me" mindset.
Part 1: http://caraycaray.blogspot.com/2010/02/cristina-22210.html
Part 2: http://caraycaray.blogspot.com/2010/03/cristina-show-sortilegio-part-2.html
Rufi really does love Carlota despite it all, but I guess to Carlota, she doesn't count because she is a servant. What's pathetic is that Carlota was surrounded by so many forgiving, loving people, like Mac and Paloma. They would have really loved her, too, if she hadn't been so downright nasty to them. Even so it took Paloma a long time to really give up on her.
Her emphaty towards Paloma earlier in the series were real as were the tears.
German is a lot worse, he preyed on the young school girls and premeditated his shady dealings. A littel arrogant too in my opinion. I know you ladies are blinded by bias towards German as I am towards Romina. Just saying.....
Xochitl had to feel bad all tied up in the cart. It's not fun being a hostage. ;) Her kidnapper on the other hand should be quartered and torn then his remaining bodyparts burned and the ashes dumped in a sewer.
Ibarramedia
If German preyed on school girls then so did Emoon and Inaki. They are all the same age and in Inaki's case Paloma was even younger than Romena at least according to the endless time between their 18th birthdays. Yes Germs was the only one sleeping with a 17 year old but my bet was that Romina was making a lot of the movies in that sad relationship. Romina certainly knew what she was doing was questionable since she once threatened Germans with exposure.
I don't think it would do anyone any good for him to rot in prison for years. It would be more useful for him to be doing hard labor to make restitution for what he's done. As someone mentioned, he's too pretty for prison. I think the punishment he would suffer there would far outweigh his nonviolent crimes. And, I don't think he could have stopped Carlota from killing Alonso. Other people had evidence against her as well and they weren't able to get it together and do anything.
As to preying on the young girls...I don't know. I don't approve, exactly, but in this imaginary society it seems totally normal for 20-something men to date teenage girls. He didn't force anyone into anything.
As for German me personally i have never liked him at all because what i found so distasteful about him is what he was doing to his childhood friend Emoon so underhanded and dirty, time for German to man up and take his lumps like he deserves.
One also shouldn't say all of the women on this board like German after all we all have different taste in what we like in our men.
Deciegirl, You are right in that those 3 guys are guilty of that. Emiliano, while not evil has issues. If I had to choose a guy for Paloma out of Emiliano,Gabriel, Aron, Inaki and German(I know he is not intersted in Paloma but for comparison sake) I would go with the late Inaki. Unfortunately he is dead.

I do strongly agree with your opinion that what German did to his childhood and best friend was very distatesful. I would not be so forgiving of the utmost betrayal a guys can do to another guy. I would probably kill him if he did that to me. That is No. one of my pet peeves, if that happened to me, my best friend becomes my worst enemy.

back to ENDA - I think German had moments of guilt/regret that showed he had potential for redemption. Same with Romina - although maybe a little less so with her. Neither one of them deserves too terrible a fate, though, just something to wake them up enough to change.
I, too, thought Carloca might be faking the paralized legs. When she grabbed the nurse I thought she was going to bribe her, like she did before when she gave blood to Cris. Wasn't that the same nurse?

Julia.. I agree about Emo and Germy. Germy definitely knew Emo did not want to be with Germy. Definitely, Germy should not get a death penalty from Emo because as you say, Emo did not really care for RoMEE. As we've all noted many times, when Emo found out in the end, seems like he should have just said glory hallelujah, you all have fun together.

I know Luz must feel terrible about Xochi and I do too. I thought it was a terrible thing to show her kidnapped like that. For a woman of the world, Luz is not acting very savvy to the evils lurking around, especially that this kidnapper has had his eyes on the little girl. She carrys on like a free spirit. This is not good for a mother.
I'm wondering if Romina would have given motherhood more of a chance if Bernardito was a well baby. I'm sure it must be an ordeal for a mother to have a sick child, especially when the mother is so young.

Neither would i forgive any female friend who lied liked German has done to Emoon sorry that's just me.
No i wasn't offended by your bias comment about German but like i have said we all don't have the same taste or likes in what men that happen to peaked our interest that's all.
That's why when i make a comment as such i say some i don't imply everyone as having my own opinions that's all.
Jeff LOL at your description of Emoon singing Hallelejuh :).
Welcome Lisa! It’s fun to have you chime in.
I too hope Romina isn’t a goner. Her crimes weren’t big enough, as others have mentioned, and it would be horrible for Camila to lose her daughter – no fair!
Once again people are welcoming Rufi as a family member like they’re regally bestowing a knighthood. She is humble and pathetically grateful when she accepts. Also no fair! Like her being a servant means that she’s not an equal person, and it is a huge gift for them to reach down from their lofty heights and pull her up. Certainly she was already a member of the family. She’s the only one who was around when Carlota was a child, and she’s stuck with the family all these years.
I felt they were glorifying servitude, showing that she alone managed to have unconditional love for Carlota.
Even Paloma still loves Carlota despite all that she did. She just not want to see her or have anything to do with her anymore and understandably so. It depends on the person. Other people would probably celebrate Carlota's self inflicted misfortune and never even visit or pray for her.
I have known a few people who have had lifelong servants that after some time were no longer employed as a servant and soon became a member of the family literally. A bond so close that it was even closer than some of their real blood relatives. How can that not be the case especially if they worked most of their lives there and seen you being born and be there all the way to adulthood and live with you every day?
I also knew some people who had different servants from the agency every 3-6 months. There are no personal ties there except for a employer-employee relationship or master and servant if you will.

After Macarena died Paloma told Rufi repeatedly when she became 18 they would leave together and live together. Paloma has always told Rufi she was her family not a servant to her.
Then when Dr.B made them the offer of going with him once again Paloma had to assure Rufi she is family and she was coming with her becsause she needed her.
It has only beeen Carloca who has treated Rufi as a servant and not she what was treasured abd cherished family member like Paloma and Mac saw her as.
