Corazon Salvaje 7/22/10 And the Trial Continues

Episode 109

We start off with a replay Aimee reminding Juan that she is the only one that can save him. He scowls at her. Cut to Reggie who is telling Nana that Juan is the only man for her.

The abuelos are trying to figure out what to do about Mariella. They think Jimena is not good for her and they need to get away.

Jimena is in the hut and Jacinta is comforting her. Jimena thinks she’s not important and nobody will care for her. Jacinta tells her that is not true. Do you think this woman is familiar? She doesn’t remember her family. She tells Jacinta something very strange happened when she was walking down the street. She saw a woman buying a carmel apple for her child and at that moment she had a memory of something similar happening to her. Wow! Jacinta is impressed but doesn’t know what that could mean.

Back at the courthouse Aimee has to ruin the moment with Nana and Reggie. Reggie says you again? She taunts Reggie about her bad luck with men. Nana tells Aimee that Juan is not like that. Talk to her fan because Juan is like all the others. Clemencia says she’d rather wait elsewhere so that the two sisters can rip each other’s hair out. Uh, I mean talk. Reggie wants to know what she’s doing there in the first place. Aimee says you have no right to ask me that. Reggie says oh but I do and whips out the little note Aimee wrote to Juan. Finally she is so busted. She holds the note up so Aimee can get a good look at it. You recognize this don’t you. Aimee asks her where she got it as she tries to snatch it from Reggie. It doesn’t matter where I got it but it does matter if I put this in the hands of Renato. She doesn’t think she’d really do it. It’s nobody’s fault but your own. Why would you send this to Juan? I’ve sacrificed everything for you. Aimee laughs. Whatever. You get to be with Juan that doesn’t seem like a big sacrifice. I’m his wife you hateful cow. His wife? Aimee finds that funny. I love him says Reggie. Aimee doesn’t care she just wants to know how that paper got in her hands. Aimee says that Juan loves her. Regina gives her back the note. You did it for Renato. For your love for Renato says Aimee. Renato comes up at that point and listens. Yes! Now hopefully he’ll find out what a lying Ho his wife really is. You love Renato with all your heart. Renato comes in and tells them the judge is back. Aimee says she’s not going to go back in because of everything that’s happened. Especially her madrina. It is such a scandal and it could kill her. We can only hope. Renato says something but it sounds like he has marbles in his mouth but it was something to the effect that Regina was as equal as he is and she will be in there because of her husband. If that isn’t right please correct.

Lulu shows up at Dr. Pablo’s and finds Colibri. She brings a huge basket of food for Remi. She hopes he likes it. She leaves. Colibri brings the food to Remi who is lying in bed. Colibri tells him that the beautiful girl from the casino brought him some food. He pushes Colibri away and says he doesn’t want it. He shouts at poor Colibri that he doesn’t want it don’t you understand? I don’t want anything from her. Poor Colibri.

Over at Raul’s house the abuelos are comforting Mariella. She assures them she feels much better. It is just to many emotions at once. Abuela thinks that Jimena is at fault. Mariella tries to assure them that it is not Jimena’s fault but the old bat won’t stop talking. What she feels for Jimena cannot be broken. Abuelo gets his 2 cents in there saying she’s not your daughter. You can’t feel for a stranger more than your own daughter. Mari says she has the same feelings but they are stronger. Jimena is not a stranger. She is like my daughter. Abuela says not to say this what would happen if Fake Angela heard this? I say who cares? Lulu shows up at the house. The Abuelos look at her funny.

Back at court Aimee tells Regina that for her information she’s the only one that can get Juan out of his situation. FF>> Aimee struts out with her fan fluttering. I think Regina would have felt much better if she had just popped her in the mouth. I know I would have. I hope that pie cart is picking up speed. It’s going to need a lot of speed if it is going to take out Aimee, Rod, and Leo all at once. Regina cries. I’m all for Regina but seriously she needs to stop all this sniveling. Grow a backbone girl!

Everyone files into the courtroom. Leo says she’s feeling better but she can’t believe he said she was a murderer in front of all these people. It was a bad moment. Yeah, because it’s all true. Raul talks about MdR and her mysterious disappearance. There is a lot of clanking in the background. He says the whole thing was just strange. Leo whispers something to Rod about the accusations in front of all these people. He tells her not to worry about it. She says she’s afraid. (Oh you should be. You should be very afraid.) Don’t forget you’re a Montes de Oca. Regina tells Renato she doesn’t want to go into the past. Renato thinks the past is the only way they can get this thing resolved. She doesn’t want to do it. He wants her to have confidence in him. That’s just stupid. How many times did she tell you she loves Juan and she wants to be with him? I’m about to FF>> him too every time he opens his mouth.

Back to Mari and her parents. They don’t like Lulu being in the house. Doesn’t Mari know where she works? Uh, she’s standing right there and can hear every word you little snots are saying. They act like she’s got cooties or something. Mari welcomes her warmly. She wants to show her her room and the kitchen. Lulu is uncomfortable and doesn’t want to cause any problems. She says don’t worry about it.

Apparently Filipe sucks at driving a coach too. He just got canned. Poor guy. I like him.

The Abuelos just don’t understand what is going on. They want to get back to Puebla so they can plan a long trip to Europe and get Mari away from Jimena so she can know her real daughter Fake Angela.

Poor Felipe sits on a bench and cries into his hat. He pulls out his handkerchief and it is full of flour.

Court is back in session. It’s Renato’s turn to speak. It is my intention to prove that the accused is a monster. Everyone groans. He says it wouldn’t be too cool for him to be set free. He can’t just go taking the law into his own hands. He’s a big fat loser and that is why I’m asking for the strictest punishment. The courtroom erupts. Somebody take Renato out back and beat the crap out of him. Please. Reggie is beside herself. The judge threatens that if people can’t conduct themselves appropriately the courtroom will be cleared. Everyone sits down. Reggie looks at Juan and thinks to herself that Aimee lied. Juan does love her. Juan thinks to himself that Reggie really loves him. Renato is thinking that they love each other. He looks dejected. Good. The judge says now they will hear from the accused. Juan says that he was only trying to get justice. Because in this town there is no justice for everyone. This is the reality and the intentions of my acts. I believe in the law. But in this law we are punished and nothing more. The law can accuse, can attack you for your acts. I am Juan del Diablo or according to my wife Juan de Dios. A woman I love and at this moment is in a difficult situation. I’ve committed a lot of acts. Everything I did was in the memory of my parents. I believe my actions were noble and just. It was never for my own benefit. It was for the benefit of others. Always. I’ve been called a thief, a bandit, and liar. But I have compassion for others. Renato asks permission to ask one more question. Uh oh...

You have confessed that you think the law isn’t just (? Help me out here.) Of course. Clanking of chains--something is stupid. It’s stupid that you declare yourself innocent.

Aimee made it home and takes out the note and looks at it. She reads the note. I love you. Your kisses your arms. Please destroy this note after you read it. She burns the note.

Renato is giving his closing arguments. All you can do is find him guilty. Noel stands up to give his closing arguments. He’s had a rough life. Juan de Dios--Juan Del Diablo is a strong force. Like a hurricane he changes everything in its path. He tells the jury that this is the time to make things right. In the name of Maria del Rosario and Juan de Dios San Roman--Justice. Don’t condemn him. The courtroom erupts as the fisher folk stand and cheer. Renato asks permission to question Noel. (What the heck?) He asks Noel if he is a man of the law. Noel says he only looks for truth for the accused. You know I said nothing but the truth son. So what is it that like about Juan del Diablo’s actions. Justice is superior. You know his whole story. The courtroom is going crazy and the Judge tries to get control. Good luck with that. Noel asks Renato to forgive him but he has to go with his feelings. The judge sends the jury off to deliberate. Court is adjourned. Juan and Reggie smile at each other as everyone files out of the courtroom. Noel comforts Regina.

Today Felipe is a carpenter. I bet that goes well--NOT. He gets a splinter. He destroys all the wood within reach. Now he’s getting lessons on hammering a nail. He almost swallows the nail. He tries to hit it with the hammer but he flies over his shoulder. FF>>

Juan sits in his cell with no shoes on. He has flashbacks of he and Regina on the boat under the stars. Their little party. Their kisses. Juan has a visitor. It’s the capitan of the coast guard boat. He tells Juan that a woman gave him a note to give to him but he didn’t know who it was. Juan immediately knows it is Aimee. Capitan says he has his unconditional gratitude and friendship. Someone yells in the background that the jury will be coming back in a few minutes. Maybe we won’t have to wait until Friday. Reggie is talking to the Boyz when Leo walks up and scolds Reggie for the scandal she’s caused. Yeah right. It’s Renato’s fault. Leo thinks it is real easy to blame others. Well you should know sister. You’re the queen of blaming others. It’s a big mess and you’re a big loser and there is no remedy for it. She excuses herself to go be with her husband. Why does she wear that goofy scarf on her head. Renato comes up to Leo and says this is the time for him to win the heart of Regina. ( Do I even have to say what I‘m thinking?) Leo thinks he has more important things to do. FF>>

The judge walks in. Juan is brought to the box. The judge asks the jury if they have a verdict. They are really drawing this out. The foreman gives the verdict to the bailiff. The judge looks it over very slowly. Regina looks like she’s going to pass out. He reads from the paper. NOT GUILTY. Woo hoo! I’m doing a little happy dance but you can’t see me. Everyone is happy except for Leo, Rod and Renato. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch of people. Juan thanks the judge and is given his papers. He sits on the steps. Reggie is blocked from coming to him but Noel says to let her pass. They embrace and cry tears of happiness as do I.

Hi everyone. I'll finish the rest in the morning but wanted you to have a place to discuss.

This episode should be called "Renato Haz a Sad." LOL

Thanks Connie! Can't wait for the rest of it!

I would like this episode to be called "Renato is finally told to shut the hell up". Unfortunately it's really more "Renato never shuts the hell up." Please...someone... stuff a sock in his mouth.

And I really want Regina to channel her inner bitch. Just once.

Muchas gracias, Connie, the first part of the recap is great, especially the "Clemencia says she’d rather wait elsewhere so that the two sisters can rip each other’s hair out.", "I’m his wife you hateful cow." and the "I’m about to FF>> him too every time he opens his mouth." parts.

Hey everyone! Just posted the second part. Last night I felt like I'd never heard spanish before. Sometimes I wish I had subtitles. Hope you enjoy the second part. Plese feel free to correct or add.

Thanks, Connie. You always give me some giggles, and I appreciate that very much because you can never get your daily recommended amount of giggles. Every since this trial started , a phrase keeps running through my brain : ''Here come the judge, Here come the judge, Order in the courtroom 'cause here come the judge....'' I tried to stay awake, and hub gallantly tried to wake me up several times, but yesterday was a long day ending with a fine meal at a fine restaurant...with a fine whiskey sour on the rocks...for hub's birthday, so....I missed the whole thing. Thanks for the super recap. I saw the everything with my mind's eye. I appreciate your time and effort, Connie. How's the new job going ?

Thank you, Connie! I still need to watch the episode this morning, but I will be back for your "love and laughter" style. :-)

Mad Bess, I wanted to tell you yesterday you gave me a giggle with your husband's remark: "tickets!" I can just see that. Happy birthday to him!

Connie, loved your'e recap! Did catch last nights show,I'll be drinking tons of coffee so I don't miss tonight's show. Juan looks great even in dirty clothes, his smile just lights up a room. So glad dumbass Renato caught their kiss and vows of love (the look on his face was priceless). Loved the Juan and Regina flashbacks of tender moments between them. What a fiasco of a courtroom, never saw where one attorney gets to ask the other attorney a question. Judge Judy never would of allowed it. I hope Juan takes part of the house as his birthright is owed to him. Would love to see their happy dysfunctional family mealtime.

I only wish Aimee had been there, to see the Look Of Love passing between Juan and Regina. Then she could be sad and dejected too.

I still never knew exactly what this trial was about. There was no "Juan stole X on Y date." It was basically the Montes de Oca clique saying "Juan is rude, lock him up for life." I guess that's why the jury set Juan free.

And since when is Renato a prosecutor?

Jimena's grandparents aren't too bright. Abuelo is white with light eyes, Abuela is white with fair wig and light eyes, Mariela is white with light eyes, Jimena is white with light eyes but Salma is DARK with dark hair and brown eyes. Unless Angela's father was DARK with dark hair and eyes, how in the world could Salma be their (grand)daughter?

I figured Juan had to be set free because the opening credits show Renato running up on Regina and Juan riding to the rescue to give him the stink eye. LOL

Hey Connie, great recap! I can help with the conversation between Juan and Renato. Some parts were hard to translate - I hope it makes sense!

Renato: So Juan, you confess that you broke the law? Juan: (chuckle) Why yes (you sorry excuse for a man, sorry I had to add that in :-)), I would be an idiot to deny that dont you think? Renato: As stupid as it is to claim that you are innocent? Juan: But contrary to what you think, I have never believed that I was above the law, NEVER! I have only been above those who impose the laws unjustly. I dont go around glorifying myself or handing out prizes and I dont put blame on anyone, I dont feel that I have that power. I only did what I did because others were too chicken to do it themselves (Juan glances at the aguacil). Renato: This was not something that you were entitled to do. Juan: I know that well, You make me sad, I remember that you and I shared that same dreams and ideals and we always discussed how justice should be applied.

Jeri~~You asked what I teach. I teach English as a Second Language at a local community college. As for the ''Tickets'', I always laugh when Hubby says that when I'm dozing off because that's what my mother always used to say. It makes me remember my mother.

This long drawn out ridiculous excuse of a trial was worth it with that ending last night. When Juan said I love you to Regina and she said as do I and that kiss - you cant help but melt!

Thanks for filling that in Jessica. It was hard to hear I thought.

Mad Bess, the new job is going pretty well. Still working at the old job too but only 2 1/2 days. Sometimes I forget where I'm supposed to be.8(:-P

Connie, thanks for the recap, which I will read tonight because once again I fell asleep and missed last night's episode :(

The upside is if I watch this one at 11pm and the new one tonight at it's proper time I'll get to see two episodes back to back; yay!

xIntperuvian - I snuck a peek at your post because you are always so funny and once again, I was right :) "Renato never shuts the hell up" TOO FUNNY!

Marisol

Renato is becoming more unbearable by the minute. Jeez what an a$$. What of I do not love you anymore he doesn't understand? His ego is bigger than his head.

Just i quick question is tonight's episode my first recaping or is it next week?

Hi, Sue -- thank you so much for volunteering. Tonight would be your first night.

I realize you catch up on the weekends, so I intended to post a discussion thread when I come on tomorrow morning (-- unless you want to do it).

Then you can post your recap when you are able to.

Reposting from yesterday: This past week Melinama sent a memo around to the recappers, asking for instituting team leaders for the various blogs to help her out, and I volunteered for CS.

I have the time, and I'm usually around; so I want to give out my email in case anyone needs a discussion posted and/or a substitute recapper; in case anyone would like to fill in recapping; or other posting, like Aribeth's video links while she's on vacation, etc. Or questions or whatever.

My email is: jeri@tormenta.com

Back on topic, I just watched the episode, and I was a complete puddle of tears at the end. Now I"m going to listen to the recap. Thanks again, Connie!

Thank you for your kind words Marisol! Someday I would really like to try my hand at recapping, but it's going to be a while. My Spanish is very limited and my Univision station has no closed captions to help out. (Anyone else without CC's??)

I loved the ending. I was a big weepy mess...finally Juan and Regina can be together!

Can you imagine the scene at the Finca when these losers get home? Who do you think will play the first blame card?

Now Renato is stuck with Aimless. Aimless will be mad as an angry pit viper when she realizes Juan loves Regina and not her. I hope Celia takes the night off or she'll end up bald as a cue ball.

Jimena's grandparents aren't too bright. That's an understatement. I have to wonder if they'd even have a clue if Salma was Asian.

Poor little Colibri. Remegio nearly bit his head off. Geez, Remi, the kid is only trying to help...

Thanks Connie for the recap. Renato is a awful lawyer. He should have been disbarred and removed from the courtroom. I'm glad Noel stood his ground. I too want Regina to be more assertive against Aimee and stop covering for her. I wouldn't have given her the note. At least Juan now knows per the Captain that it was Aimee who wanted him to have the note. I'm glad that Juan was acquitted and now he and Regina can resume their love affair which Renato rudely interrupted. Loved the in your face kiss too between Juan and Regina at the end and the sour grapes look on Renato's face as he witnesssed it. Has it finally sunk it now Renato. Regina doesn't love you. She loves Juan. The Phillipe scenes are not so funny anymore. FF LOL. Tired of Jimena's grandparents still drinking the Salma kool-aid. I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they find out they were duped. Tonight's show should be good since Juan is now a free man. That means more romance with Regina. Yay.

I felt bad for Colibri too when he brought in Lulu's basket of food. He was only trying to help. Remi didn't have to scream at the poor boy. I'm still smiling at the love declarations and kiss in the end in front of everybody. I was cheering.

"I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they find out they were duped."

Especially since they were so rude to Jimena.

I can't wait for Juan, Regina and teh Fisherman to strut around town, shocking assholes like Leona, Eloisa and Fed.

Fulgencio looked intrigued in the courtroom.

I can't wait for Juan & Regina to march up in the finca and claim their half.

And I ESPECIALLY can't wait until Aimee lays eyes on Juan and Regina. Fan and flower chewing will commence.

I predict Regina will channel her inner bitch when Aimee brazenly makes a pass at Juan in front of Regina. You KNOW Aimee is bitchy enough to do this.

Anon 1:35 I wouldn't put it past Aimee. She thinks Juan belongs to her and that her sister is weak. She would do it just to get under Regina's skin and it's time for Regina to stand up for herself and stop letting her sister treat her like a doormat.

Connie, you weren't the only one engaging in giddy wriggling, trust me! Good God, did they let the suspense build up enough there or what? Even after I'd spotted 'Not Guilty' in the recap, I was still biting my nails for the way they were dragging it out!

The only thing that would have been better than Renato finally catching on about Juan and Regina being in love would be if Aimee had been there, too. (And even with that, Renato still thinks he has a chance. Oi vey. -facepalm-)

A question: Did Juan ever read Aimee's note ? Also, do you think that Juan and Reggie will go to the finca ? Doesn't Juan still own that big mansion on the beach ? It would be great to get to see Juan, Reggie, Aimee, Renato, Leo, and Old Rod in the same house. Aimee and Renato would go crazy watching Juan and Reggie bill and coo. ...Yes, Let's do that ...Everyone under one roof !!!p.s. Will abuelo/a make Fangela give back those pretty dresses after they find out that she's a phony ???~~Mad Bess, crossing her fingers

p.s.#2~~~ Every time I see Ren or Aimee, these lyrics run through my brain : ''I want you to want me...I need you to want me...etc'' Basta ya !!!

Thanks for the recap Connie and the fact you are doing two in one night.

ITA w/you all regarding Regina needing to grow a spine. Now that Juan is free, Aimee will be up to her old tricks and Regina will be ready to defend her territory.

@ Mad Bess. No. Juan never read Aimee's note. He tried to sneak a peek at it when the Coast Guard Captain handed it to him but changed his mind. I don't know if it's a good idea for Juan and Regina to live at the Finca. Both Aimee and Renato would never give them a moments peace. Aimee would try to seduce Juan every moment while Renato would keep trying to convince Regina that she really loves him.

Thanks Connie for the recap.

Inez and Albert are a couple of sad wet blankets == they actually believe more in Salma, their fake granddaughter, than their own daughter Mari and her gut instincts about Jimena. Geesh! give them both "I'm stupid" signs.

Loved how Juan was acquitted -- it looked like Rod, Leo and Ren all got big "L"s imprinted on their foreheads at the same time.

Today Felipe is a carpenter. I bet that goes well--NOT. FF>>" -- you FF'd too soon, you missed Felipe hammering and hitting the master carpenter's thumb instead of the nail and the keystone cop chase afterwards.

Sometimes comedy relief is a welcome relief - especially from Ren spouting off again.

Jody :)

BTW - did anyone else notice that Aimee's green fan was made of plastic and clicked everytime she opened and closed it?

Juan will be busy - he has yet to meet his mother and doesn't know about Remigio losing an arm, either.

Thanks for the greetings and link Jeri and Aribeth. Thanks Connie for the recap. You all have been the lifeline for my understanding my first TN.

Did anyone else beside me SWOON when Juan clutched his heart while looking at Regina and she did the same just before he left the court room to go to the cell.

Seems reminiscent of the time on the Luzbel when Juan touched his heart after he and Regina spoke through the door. And also in the opening scenes there is the time when Juan attempts to kiss Regina and walks away hand over heart. Has this scene occurred yet? He is looking amazing in the black duds in that scene.

Always enjoy everyones comments.
Cheers!
Bernadette

"Did anyone else beside me SWOON when Juan clutched his heart while looking at Regina and she did the same just before he left the court room to go to the cell."

I did. Aside from the love declarations and THE KISS that was also my favorite scene. I love Juan and Regina. They are just magical together.

Is it just me, or did Juan's bipolar rub off on Regina? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Regina realized that Juan loved her. But she went from "I'm nobody, Aimee is the love of Juan's life" to "Juan really loves me" in 60 seconds flat. I guess that was some look from Juan :-)
