CS - Monday, July 26 - happy reunions and startling breakups

EPISODE 111 - July 26, 2010:
Maria tells Juan that yes, he is her son - he is the son of Juan de Dios San Roman y Maria del Rosario Montes de Oca. Juan won’t believe it. Maria tells him to look at her. Juan thinks his mom is dead. He’s visited her tomb many times. She explains that she is his mom, that for years she was dead by being imprisoned in the dungeon but she never lost faith. He can’t believe it. She says it’s true, it’s true. She says he’s confused. She really has to work to convince him to believe her. They hug. He cries in her arms. She sees his birthmark on his neck. She shows him her birthmark on her neck. He’s in shock. She says LOOK! LOOK! I’m your mother. They hug and cry. “It’s a miracle” cries Juan. (Aw!) “My son! My son!” cries Mom. “Mother! Mother! Mother!” cries Juan. They hug.

At home at Paradise ranch, Juan and Regi laugh and kiss in the main room. She notices his new haircut. He says now he is ready to begin a new life with her and his mother. She tells him the secret she’s kept in her heart -- that she loves him. He loves her more. They kiss.

Felipe sits on his favorite stair and cries and tears up his paper with farm hand on it. He’s depressed over being fired again. (He still can’t find work.)

Leo thinks about Aimee’s rant about hating the family and especially Ren. Leo grumbles, if it wasn’t for the grandchild Aimee is carrying in her womb, she wouldn’t care for Aimee either.

Felipe stands on the rock wall and makes his suicide speech as Noel drives by in his coach. Felipe jumps off the wall towards the sea. Noel runs over to the wall and looks down. Felipe landed with his feet firmly buried in the sand. Noel pulls him back up and talks him out of suicide. Felipe talks and talks and rambles before Noel’s advice about work and money actually register in his brain.

Juan talks with Regi about spending time with his mom. Regi tells him to take all the time he needs - since he’s lost so much time with her already.

Remi tells his fisherman buddies not to tell Juan anything about what happened to him. He doesn’t want to ruin Juan’s happiness with being reunited with his mother. Remi is still depressed about Malu. Gabe enters. They explain Remi’s request not to tell Juan. Remi asks to be alone. They all leave. Remi remembers his shock at seeing Lulu kissing another man at the casino.

Gabe finds Lulu at Raul’s home. She explains that Mariela hired her.

Noel agrees to give Felipe a job. Felipe the klutz celebrates and twists and turns and falls backside first right into a fruit stand.

Juan and Maria visit Juan Sr.’s grave. She wants to buried right next to him when she dies. Juan doesn’t want her to talk about death. Maria explains how Juan Sr. and the fisherman thought about death and the sea as part of their everyday life. Juan says his dad always talked about her kindly and with lots of love. She advises him to continue to fight for his love with Regi. Love with conquer all obstacles and survive forever.

Al and Raul are in the office, discussing Mariela’s new hire Lulu. Al is concerned about his money running short. Raul assures him that he is fine with Lulu working for Mariela. They talk about the end of Juan’s trial.

Lulu tells Gabe that she is disposed to do whatever it takes to win back Remi’s love. Gabe promises to help her.

Dr. Pablo tells Mariela and her mom that Mariela just had an anxiety attack. Mom is happy to hear it and presses for permission to leave and go back to Puebla. Mariela has another anxiety attack as she cries and begs not to leave town.

Gabe asks Lulu to spy on Salma for him. He and Noel suspect that she isn’t telling the truth. Lulu promises to help him. Gabe leaves. As Dr. Pablo walks through the living room, Lulu asks him how Mariela is doing. Dr. Pablo says much better. As he turns to leave, she asks about Remi. He tells her that Remi is depressed. She says she loves Remi so much. He advises her to fight for that love. He leaves. She makes a vow to do just that.

Rod visits Leo in her bedroom. She is still upset over the trial and all the catcalling, gossip and scandals against them. Rod takes off his jacket and the climb into bed together. They start to kiss.

Noel returns home and asks Celia where his wife is. She says in her room. He asks where Ren is. She says locked away in the office. Celia leaves. Noel stops himself from entering the office and goes upstairs slowly.

Rod and Leo are in the midst of making love. Noel knocks, enters and is stunned by the sight of the two in bed together. (I’m more repulsed by the sight myself. Yuck!) Noel applauds Rod and Leo for finally consummating and showing what they all have suspected for years. He asks what happens now? Leo doesn’t care - she only cares about her son’s opinion. Noel warns about the public gossiping that she is a whore. Noel is relieved and feels he is now totally and completely free of her and he will now leave the house. Leo says good, go. Noel warns them about the deceit of Aimee and what Ren’s reaction will be - that it all may very well end in a duel to the death between Ren and Juan. He leaves. Leo calls out to Noel - she’s is really upset over Noel’s warning. Rod consoles her, kisses her, then says that he should probably get back to his house in town as soon as possible.

Noel, with suitcase in hand, sees Clem in the lower lobby. He explains that he is leaving the ranch forever. She wants to leave with him. He smiles and says she is always welcome to come with him. Clem runs to get her things quickly and they can leave.

Noel visits Ren in the office. Ren sees dad with his suitcase and tells his dad he is so disillusioned and deceived by his own father. Noel explains that he had to defend Juan, it was a matter of the heart and conscious. Noel explains the wisdom fathers teach their children and thinks Ren will understand as he will soon be a father as well.

Clem is packing in her room and talking to her Virgencita doll statues. Leo yells and enters Clem’s room. Leo orders Clem to get back to work. Clem won’t work for murderers. Leo slaps her. Clem slaps her back TWICE!, then quits and warns Leo that her downfall has now began. Clem takes her suitcase and statue and leaves.

Noel tries to talk with Ren. Ren doesn’t really want to talk or listen. He tells his dad to have a nice life. Noel asks for a hug before he leaves. Ren won’t do it and only says “Go with God.”

As Noel walks back to the lobby, he plays with his sword cane, grumbles a prayer for evil to befall on Rod and Leo and takes off his wedding ring and places it on the table before he leaves.

Ren stands in his office, totally depressed and disillusioned.

Out at the town gazeblo, Jimena and Gabe are happy and in love. She is happy that Grizzy has disappeared, and that Mariela has forgiven her. She knows that Salma is an imposter and doesn’t trust her but at the same time, she doesn’t want to hurt Mariela. As they talk, the caramel apple vendor walks by, Jimena tells Gabe about her memory of her and her mom and the caramel apples.

Santo and Jacinta are in their beach shack home. He talks to her about marriage and asks her to marry him. He goes on and on talking that he doesn’t hear her says “I accept”. She says it a second time, and it takes awhile for him to register what she said. When he does, he can’t quite believe it at first that she said “yes.” They kiss!

In the coach, Noel asks Clem why the secrecy over where they are going first. Clem only tells him that he will see when they arrive.

Juan and Regi are kissing in the main room at Paradise Ranch house. Maria enters and interrupts. Regi mentions her mom, who died when she and Aimee were little. Maria mentions finding a letter written by her mom to her and her sister. Regi wants to know what it said. Maria refuses to reveal anything about the contents until Clem is present. Regi thinks the news can’t be good. Just then, they hear the voices of Clem and Noel approaching. Noel is stunned to see Maria sitting there, alive, in front of him.

Ren makes a vow to himself not to lose Regina. He takes out papers from his desk and laughs to himself.

Celia is talking with Aimee about premonitions, great powers and a pact with the devil. Celia is totally paranoid and Aimee is intrigued. Ren enters and orders Celia to leave. Celia obeys. Aimee wonders about his visit. Ren thrusts the papers on the table - she looks at them and realizes they are annulment papers. Ren has the pen ready for her to sign them.

“ULTIMAS SEMANAS!”

Thank you, Jody, for this herculean effort of two recaps in one night, with STuD being a two-hour show! Amazing. :-)

Here is:

Aribeth's video recap for Ep. 111

Many thanks to Aribeth, especially as she is on vacation. :-)

Thanks for the recap Jody. And I thought doing 2 in one night was bad. You had what amounts to 3! I'm glad MdR is now out in the open and also the love thing between Rod and Leo. The pie cart is on it's way down and is picking up speed. Can't wait.

Good luck with all the recaps Jody! I think you need a prize after three in one night.

Cutest scene of the night- Juan and Regi making out majorly with Reggie on his lap. In walks MdR and Juan jumps up like a teenager caught with a girl in his room, knocking Reggie off his lap and appologizing to both while blushing. The making-out is getting more intense. Congress can't be far behind now. I guess they could delay it some more with Juan getting sidetracked by Remigio's situation.

I'm confused about the annulment papers:

Are they generic annulment papers or did Renato have 2 sets of annulment papers drawn up, 1 for Juan/Regina and the other for Renato/Aimee?

The first thing that popped in my mind was that he was going to force Aimee to forge Regina's signature on the Juan/Regina annulment papers so he can snatch up Regina. Juan/Regina better congress quick!

How powerful that Noel took off his wedding ring, and how sad he must be that he's leaving his son in the house of hell.

Jody, thank you for recap! Way to go Noel, loved that he took off ring, only wished he would of told Renato what a paragon of virtue his mother is. Renato should wise up to people around him. Wished I could of seen the slap Clem gave to Leo, she certainly had it coming to her. Does anyone know why Regina wears that scarf aroundher hair? Can't wait for MDR to tell Regina about her mother's note. She should be arrested and jailed for all her crimes. Would love to see her in the hellhole Juan was in along with the rats.

Well, the Virgencita has left the building along with Noel and Clemmy. Uh-oh, Ren, Leo, Aimee , and Roddy, is that a pie truck that I spy with my little eye ??? Jody, you deserve a standing ovation for doing 3 recaps in one night. Thank you for your time and effort...amazing. Noel's cool calmness is powerful. And, that's the last time I want to see shirtless Old Rod congressing with anyone. Basta ya. Geez, the guy is a seriously horny old Energizer Bunny. Also, the writers are really stringing us along waiting for Mighty Joe Juan to comsummate the socks off Reggie. MdR entering reminded me of many similar occasions when my mother suddenly showed up in the livingroom while hub and I were dating. Yikes.

Renato would have rough going annulling his own marriage, with a pregnant wife.

Not that it hasn't been done, but I think it involves the Pope and massive sums of donations to the church.

And it would be news in the story; the only annulment papers so far are Regina's. I'm not looking forward to any more trouble Renato makes for her.

Thank you for the triple recap, Jody! :)

Vivi:
In walks MdR and Juan jumps up like a teenager caught with a girl in his room, knocking Reggie off his lap and appologizing to both while blushing

Yes, that was a lovely scene. :)

I'm glad that someone (Noel) finally gave job to poor Felipe.

You're all very welcome. Yes, indeed, it was a herculean task to do three episodes in one night - all well-worth it considering I got to be distracted by FC and EY for three hours and then dream about them for the rest of the night.

BTW - I mentioned to Jeri my idea about making some special ornament souvenirs for our efforts in following CS on Univision. Right now, I just need to know who would like one so I have some idea how many to make.

Jody :)

Thanks for the recap Jody. Wow, I can't believe you did three hours worth. You are my hero. Sign me up for one of your souvenirs!

Connie - yes, that pie cart is picking up speed. Salma needs to get hit soon too!

Vivi - that was the cutest scene of the night!

Anon 10:13 - you make a great point about Ren forcing Aimee to forge Regina's signature. He looked like he was scheming and w/a child on the way he shouldn't be stupid enough to annul his own marriage but we know how stupid he's been lately.

Terry - the slap was great! Clem was mad and we all know Leo deserves that slap and much more.

Susanlynn - ITA no more shirtless Rod. I only have so much brain bleach and these writers need to have compassion on my poor nerves.

Jeri - do you think Ren is annulling his own marriage or trying to stop Regina's? We all know Aimee would go along with separating the two.

Aribeth - continue to enjoy your vacation!!

Jody, I would, I would! Love an ornament; what a wonderful thing for you to do! This show has been an experience, and I'd enjoy remembering it that way. I envy you your dreams last night.

Aribeth, I am so relieved somebody gave Phillip a job, too. LOL

Karen, as I said, I don't know how Renato could annul his marriage with a pregnant wife; people like Henry VIII could do that, and in the end, he had to leave the church to accomplish it.

It's six of one and half a dozen of the other for Aimee, though. On the one hand, she'd like to keep Juan away from Regina; but on the other hand, she'd like to keep Renato away from Regina, too. What to do, what to do?

Jody, thanks.

The sight of Rodrigo and Leonarda in bed nearly nekked - LOL.

The sight of Juan and Regina in their cabana - beautiful.

Much appreciation for this recap along with the double recap for STUD Jody. You are a trooper. I'm glad Noel caught Leo and Rod in bed. Now he can divore her and go on with his life. What's sad about the whole thing is that he did love her but she refused to love him all because of her obsession for Rod. I'm also glad Noel got to see MdR and he will find out it was his wife who kept her prisoner for all those years. Renato still thinks he can win Regina. Keep dreaming there. So I wonder will Aimee sign the papers since she admitted to Leo she doesn't care about Renato. Glad Gabe has enlisted Lulu to keep tabs on Salma. I'm ready for Mariela to find out that she's a fake and that Jimena is her real daughter. Looking forward to tonights show.

Thanks Jody! Wow! You were really busy! Count me in on the ornaments too.

Does anyone else think Rod and Leo intended to get caught? Rod was taking off his clothes as soon as he walked into Leo's room. What better way to get back at Noel for their humiliation at the trail than to humiliate him in his own home? ITA about shirtless Rod...we're all gonna need therapy to forget that.

I was actually cheering when Clemencia slapped Leo, especially that second slap! I loved the way Clem picked up her bag and Virgincita statue and walked right past Leo and out the door, head held high.

I was under the impression that Renato wrote up the annulment papers on the spot. I thought he took a blank sheet of paper from the desk.

Just wondering here, could Renato legally get an annulment from Aimless for her lying about her pregnancy? Could he annul based on her history with Juan? Would either be grounds to annul or would he have to divorce her?

"Cutest scene of the night- Juan and Regi making out majorly with Reggie on his lap. In walks MdR and Juan jumps up like a teenager caught with a girl in his room, knocking Reggie off his lap and appologizing to both while blushing." That was my favorite scene too Vivi. Me thinks Juan and Regina both are ready to finally do the deed and make their marriage legit.

"The first thing that popped in my mind was that he was going to force Aimee to forge Regina's signature on the Juan/Regina annulment papers so he can snatch up Regina. Juan/Regina better congress quick!" Anon 10:13, I hadn't thought of that. Renato is devious enough to do that. Juan and Regina better consumate the marriage fast.

Jody, I would like a souvenir too. I want to thank all the recappers and commenters who have stuck with CS with this horrendous time change. It had a rocky start but the show has gotten so good and of course EY is a definite plus. I never tire of staring at his handsome face and I love Juan and Regina something fierce LOL.

Xlntperuvian, Renato doesn't know that Aimee isn't really pregnant yet and he doesn't know that Aimee and Juan were lovers. Noel warned Leo that when Renato does find out that little tidbit about Aimee's deceit, all hell would break loose. I think he did write up that annulment paper on the spot.

Jody, thank you for the recap and offer of an ornament, please add to me the list.

This has been a very good TN and I believe that the powers that be at Uni are not living on this planet. There is no other reason for moving this TN to the middle of the night. The acting has been exceptional. Of course, as far as I am concerned, EY could just stand there and smile and it would make me happy.

The anvils and pie carts are moving at a very fast clip, and I can hardly wait to see gets it first.

I loved seeing Clem packing up everything including the ever present Virgincita. I may have to get one myself.

I hope I never ever have to see Leo and Woody in bed. It is enough to give anyone nightmares especially we it see it so late at night.

Aribeth, if you are checking in, I loved last night video recap.

Rosemary

Jeri- you are tops! Thanks for all of your hard work :)

I must admit I rewound and paused the screen when Renato handed Aimee the annulment paper and it clearly said Regina Montes de Oca above the signature line, so it looks like that idiot is planning to have Aimee forge Regina's signature on the document. I hope once Regina finds out what Renato is doing now she will work up the courage to do a Clemencia!

And speaking of Clemencia, WOW! She got Leonarda but good, not once, but TWICE!! Leo tried to tell Clem she was going to make her eat her words but Clem beat her to it with the second slap! LOVED IT!!!!!

My poor, poor Noel. How sad for him to discover that scene (and how disgusting for us to have to watch- ewwww!), but at the same time, he is now free of Leonarda, the finca, and all of the bad that has happened there. I totally hear you Anon 10:10am about Noel feeling bad for leaving Renato in a house of hell, but Renato is in a hell of his own creation, quite frankly, y que se queme! Every time Renato is on screen now I can't help but yell HA! at the tv :)

I am glad Gabe asked Lulu to keep an eye on Fake Angela, but if Lulu will be going to work for Don Raul I don't see how she can do it.

Not to incur the wrath of my new caray family, but I'm getting a bit tired of Remigio's boohooing and lousy attitude over Lulu. I totally get why he is distraught, but she IS trying to reach out to him, make amends and show him how much she loves him. Sheesh :)

Finally, did you notice that the segue to commercials has now changed, except for the next to the last one? And they're also now saying ultimas semanas? I think I am going to CRY when this is all over :(

Marisol

Pirate Babe, yes that's true, Renato doesn't know any of that yet. I was just trying to think up reasons he could use to annul his marriage to Aimless. He would have to do that at some point before he could ever hope to have anything with Regina. Of course Reggie ain't going to happen, but he's too clueless and stubborn to realize it.

Jody, definately add me to list for that special ornament! Sounds like a great way to remember corazon salveje, despite univision's untimely change of its's airing, anything with EY in is worth watching. Let's hope EY's next telenovela is on primetime instead of graveyard shift time.

Jody, thanks for the recap, especially since I dozed off and missed the last half.
I don't know whether to be glad or sorry that I missed Leo and HotRod in bed together. So happy to hear that Noel walked out on the viper's nest and his wife.
Yes, please put me down for an ornament.
La Paloma

Hopefully this won't count as a spoiler, but

DO NOT MISS TONIGHT

Jody thanks for the great recap. Especially after 2 hours of Duena. I so appreciate all the recappers for sticking with this show after uni moved it to midnight. I can't imagine what they were thinking. I love this show and will miss it.

Loved Clem slugging Leo. I was shouting at the tv.

Totally grossed out by Leo and Rod. Don't even want to think about it. Can't wait for their pie cart.

Also want Jimena to remember more soon so Salma can receive her pie cart. Also would love an ornament.

Marisol, I would love to take credit for this herculean effort, but it's all Jody's. :-)

But I also clicked back on the TiVo to try to see what the annulment document said. You have a sharper eye than I, because I missed it.

Anon, I think you can be forgiven if it is a spoiler, because it is so hard for viewers to catch this show; but let me add my voice to yours:

DO NOT MISS TONIGHT'S EPISODE!

Jody Renee, wow! Having done a little recapping, I simply cannot conceive of doing 3 episodes in one evening. You are indeed amazing.

I still haven't seen this episode, but am looking forward to it later. Thanks to Jeri's admonition, I'm going to try to stay up to watch tonight's edition as it airs.

Thanks again for tackling (and accomplishing) this incredible effort. I stand in awe.

Carlos

Must agree strongly with those who said they'd watch anything with EY in it. I'm sold, but I also can do without Leo and Rod, especially in bed together. Gives a whole new meaning to vulgar, doesn't it? Juan and Regina are putting major moves on their joint kissing. It's time folks, it's time!

Jody, you are Wonder Woman, three terrific and complete recaps in one night. Thank you and I'd like one of those ornaments of endurance and dedication as well.

I love E Y but CdLF was so handsome last night in his self imposed suffering. He is hitting the wine bottle again, non stop. He is a schemer like his mom, uncle and Aimee. If Reggie signs the annulment papers, does he plan and think she would be his mistress? After all he is still married to Aimee and has a child on the way. Since Ren and Aimee's wedding took place at the Finca and not in a church, can their marriage be annulled as well?

I agree, Marisol, Remegio needs to learn forgiveness. He can blame Lulu for his broken heart but not for the loss of his arm which was his own fault. But, we know he'll probably come around but I wish it would be sooner. It's so unlike his nature to be so hateful.

This novela is an undiscovered gem.

GinCA

I am all a-flutter! I'd say you got a heck of an episode, Jody, but it seems like they're all that way lately! I'm interested in this ornament talk, too. =D

I don't even know where to start on this one, so I think I'll just sit here and flap my arms about some more! With Noel out of the serpent's nest, the lines between 'Good' and 'Bad' are drawn as physically now as they were metaphorically (much like the way the courtroom was divided during Juan's trial - also a nice touch, I thought). I'm glad Clem's gone with him, because she'd have no friends at the finca now - and boooy, how I loved her laying into Leo! That's been a long time coming.

Poor Philippe - he can't even commit suicide right! And didn't he learn anything from Remi? Being torn apart like sharks just doesn't seem like the way he'd want to go. He's just too - Philippe-y - for something so violent and messy. (And you could just see the exact moment that Noel started thinking, "What have I gotten myself into?" couldn't you? I think poor Doctorcito must feel the same way sometimes - "Damnit, Jim, I'm a general practitioner, not a psychologist!")

I didn't catch that bit about the name on the anullment papers, either - all that occurred to me was that Ren sure had a lot of them around! It's a good thing we have some sharper eyes in the crew. He is poking the bear there, I tell you.

(Also: I forgot to mention this yesterday, but I haaate Juan's new haircut. HATE it.)

You're all very welcome. Sorry I wasn't here at all yesterday -- my hand hurt so much with all the writing I had to go have a hand massage. Hmm, who to charge the bill to, EY or FC or both? ;)

Just counted -- 10 people are interested in an ornament. I think I'll make 15, so there will be four extras for anyone else who wants one.

Jody :)
