Let's see what I can remember (correct me if I'm wrong/events out of order):

DE LA BARRERA HOUSE:

Arturo gives Teresa the divorce papers.

Teresa tells Juana SHE should have been the one to slap Arturo with papers, not the other way around. Juana's looking at her like B!ch please.

Teresa puts on the Poor Me act for Luisa. Luisa mentions Fer was less than thrilled at the thought of Luisa moving in.

Refusio tells Teresa she should have never married Arturo when she was in love with Mariano, but now Mariano doesn't want her cuz he told her so.

HOSPITAL:

Aurora & Magda bond over wanting Mariano.

VECINDAD:

Ramon tells Mariano to give Aida another chance.

Aida smothers Mariano with kisses & giggles but is still mad at the mention of Esperanza's name.

Cutberto tries to explain what happened with Griselda but Juana isn't having it. Then Hector shows up and acts like he'll toss Cutberto out if Juana will let him.

Juana makes Pati a maxi dress. Now that Teresa doesn't want her homemade clothes anymore, Juana has a new doll to dress up. <--my commentary.

Johnny got the rent collector's job.

Armando can't find a job.

HUNK HOUSE:

Teresa slithers over to Fernando's house to "talk" but is busted by Arturo.

Teresa tells Arturo she'll "think about" reconciling/the trip.

Teresa slithers back later to "talk" some more with Fernando and ask suggestive questions.

AVANCE:

An older looking woman standing near Fernando (probably his mom) gives Teresa the stink eye.
 

Anon, I think you're right about Juana. She is acting out a maternal thing she never had a chance to experience with a child of her own.

I think that older lady (Raquel Olmedo) is Fernando's mother and she won't have any crap from any golddigging upstart like Teresa.

Jardinera- Good luck with the dental issues. I have a dentist appt in two hours so your woes are making me worry.

I have to say, when she's not harping on Teresa or Espe, Aida and Mariano are fun together.

Ter was really laying it on thick with Fer last night. I almost can't wait till that crap hits the fan and she does to Art what she did to Mariano. I had to LOL when Teresa pouted at Art about him slapping her the divorce papers, and he said something like he didn't want to do it, but he also didn't want to appear to have no dignity in front of her. I yelled out, she doesn't want you to have dignity! She wants you to be a groveling, drunk mess, begging for her to return to you at her feet. Don't you get it Art? She only wants the worst for you.

I am so glad that it looks like Fer's mom comes on the scene and she doesn't look like someone to be messed with.
 

Also, Aurora blasted Teresa for trying to get back with Mariano, then stormed out of Teresa's house.

I knew with the exits of Paloma and Martin the producer had some money to bring on new characters!

Stink Eye Lady didn't look nothing nice. She probably chews up silly young golddiggers sniffing around Fernando for breakfast.

Yes, if you notice, all these guys that Tere bamboozle's have no mother. A guy's mother always knows when a girl is up to no good. Finally, Fer's mom to the rescue. (I hope).
Did Luisa serve the divorce papers to Tere?
 

Feel better Jardinera. Nothing about the word "Dentist" is ever fun. ( Hope you're is an exception Vivi) Don't worry about us!

In fact last night, except for he previews, was pretty much same ole-same ole. Little tidbits here and there, but nothing we copuldn't pick up. ( Just watch whether Terror's eyes get big and bug-eyed if she's been told something she doesn't like.)

Hector was so cute with his little happy dance - which means that said happiness will soon be busted. Ex-wifey enter stage right?

Love that "stink-eye" from Fer's momma. Tere may have met her match, but I still think our beloved brat will just be challenged to ramp up her shenanigans all the more if Momma gets in her way. Maybe she'll back-track to Art for awhile until Momma backs off. Just think it's too soon for Tere and Art to be history.

We know the one to suffer the most will be Luisa...so not fair. But there always has to be that poor side heroine who suffers immeasurably and hopefully has some happiness at the end.
 

Oh no, emergency dental surgery! Egad. Rest up and feel better soon.

I really enjoyed that Teresa spent the whole episode in a snit because everyone is not just falling in line with her plans.

Emarie, Arturo gave Teresa the divorce papers himself. She later had a chat with him suggesting she might consider a reconciliation...because obviously, she only wants to leave on her own terms.

Yay, new character who looks like she won't put up with much. If she isn't Fernando's mom, the other possibility that comes to mind is Paloma's cousin.
 

Jardinera, so sorry to hear about your emergency dental surgery. I hope all is well.

I didn't see the very end (chopped courtesy of Uni); Raquel Olmedo might be Fernando's protective mum? Oh man she is great at giving the nasty. I'll bet Teresa has met her match with her whoever she is. Can't wait to see the fur fly!

I haven't seen the picture of the feet at Fernando's apartment but I notice Arturo has a nice big picture of some hands checking the time on a wristwatch.

i was really liking aida last night, like vivi said--when she's not harping on the ratas de vecindad. it seems like the writers are really setting her up for redemption, w.r.t. hating on the pobres---she was enjoying some delicioso pobre food, chatting amiably with ramon, and generally being open to 'other' cultures. what she and mariano (and aurora and martin, for that matter) have is something you often don't see in TN couples--they actually have fun together. usually it's all mooning around about love or betrayal or some such. it's nice to see a couple just enjoy each others' company. except for geno and rubes, that's just gross.
 

Paloma's cousin was seen earlier in the show...when Paloma first came back to get Arturo back. That woman giving Teresa the stink eye is not Paloma's cousin.
 

Jardinera hope all goes well at the dentist.

I like that Aurora finally told off Teresa for using Mariano like she has and Teresa comes back at her with what's it to you since you're so happy with Martin? But Aurora informs Teresa that she and Martin are over which surprises our little shark. Aurora also told her she wasn't sincere and honest with her and she was not to be believed anymore.

Teresa found out from Refugio it was she who told Aurora about possibly going back to Mariano after her divorce. Teresa let her mama know she has a big mouth and not to tell Aurora everything.Refugio of course doesn't understand why her daughter doesn't want her to discuss her personal life with her BFF?

Ramon when he and Aeeeeeeeda were waiting for Mariano to show up let on how much he doesn't care for Teresa to Aeeeeeeeeeeeeeda. Who then tried to pump more info out of Ramon who clammed up and changed the subject.

Aeeeeeeeeeeda tells Mariano that she doesn't want him to speak Espe's name around her. I think Mariano will eventually wake up and realize how toxic Aeeeeeeeeeda is also and call it quits for good with this drama harpy. Anyway he did try and tell her about her father but Aeeeeeda only wants to stick her head in the sand and forget all that she knows about what's going on with her father. She mentions to Mariano how her mother has completely forgiven her father even though what happen was because of Teresa and Espe fault the affair.


That's not Paloma's cousin she was a blonde and maybe around Paloma's age maybe a couple of years younger.

Ita if that's Fernando's mama i can't see her being fooled by Teresa and her antics. Which then in turn throws a big wrinkle in Teresa's backup plans to hook Fernando. She's not going to leave Arturo until she has Fernando totally fallen for her charms. That's her M.O that she has used so far. Now Fernando doesn't want Luisa to move in with him when before he was all for this happening.

Luisa ask Arturo since he's been staying with Fernando the last several days has he noticed any thing different about him? Arturo responds no like what as Luisa descibes he's been thinking about something and he seems so preoccupied by it and he's not been acting the same like he was before?
 

No problem about the recap Jardinera. I hope you're feeling better now. Anon207, you pretty much covered the bases. I loved when Arturo beat Teresa to the punch and handed her the divorce papers first LOL. That look on her face was too funny.

Then when Arturo busted her making her moves on Fernando but her quick thinking got her out of that.

Fernando is really stupid to fall for Teresa's charms. I'm not looking forward to him breaking Luisa's heart but he's headed in that direction.

In the previews, Teresa meets Fernando's mom and she instantly doesn't like our little shark. I guess she can tell a gold digging, social climber, a mile away. Looking forward to it.
 

Also I forgot, when Teresa and Luisa were having their chat, Luisa mentions how Fer has been distant lately and Teresa slips in the "well you knew he was a womanizer" to Lu. (planting the seeds of doubt in Luisa)

After Lu leaves, Teresa goes over to the picture of Arturo/Teresa and Fernando/Luisa and covers up Arturo & Luisa so only Teresa & Fernando are showing.

I'm all for Fernando's mom to shut Teresa down.
 

Oh, good memories, people who remember Paloma's cousin. I had totally forgotten that we have met her. So yay, Fernando's mom (presumably). I'm looking forward to finding out what she's like.

When Martin showed up at Fernando's apartment right after Luisa left, I was disappointed that M & L didn't pause long enough to fall madly in love as they crossed paths in the hallway.

Paloma was one of the few who had the complete low-down on Teresa, but she was an ineffective opponent. Just from the looks of the newcomer, she might have a better arsenal of steel tipped arrows to stop our little gold digging shark, great fireworks just in time for the Fourth!   The new woman's best volley would be to make Teresa think that Fer's money is tied up in some way, that has been alluded to in a previous episode.

Anon207, you're right, Paty is Juana's new doll to dress. Goodness, Paty is a good sport to wear that Juana "mini-me" dress all over Mexico City! 


In this novela, the characters are realistic, all have good qualities and bad. Aida does make Mar laugh, she is on to Ruben and she is a big help with the clinic, but she will have to long row to hoe before she accepts la vecindad people if Mariano isn't in the picture. I hope she changes, I love redemption. Also, her honest "tell it like it is" personality is refreshing!

What i found interesting during the Mariano and Aeeeeeeeeeeeeda talk is her trying to still maintain their relationship by thinking if he doesn't speak about Espe in front of her then they will be fine.

That's not realistic and very immature on her part and even though she makes Mariano laugh how long before he gets tired of her demanding he not have anything to do with Espe?

Aeeeeeeeeeda is going to realize that Mariano is a far better man than her deceased Bebe (Paulo ever was) and speaking of someone who is telling like it is Mariano is doing just that with her about her father the jerk.

Aeeeeeeeeda even after finding out all that she did concerning her father wants her family to stay in tact at all cost. So what a rude awakening she's going to have when she finds out about the fraud and that he wants to still keep Espe as his mistress but that Geno her almost mother in law is his other mistress.

Can she be redeemed? We'll just have to wait and see to me she won't be redeemed until she gets over her Teresa obsession and learn just to focus on her own life and really be happy.

This is another reason why i don't see her relationship lasting long with Mariano because she can't move on and just live her own life.

teresa asked fernando if he thought it was possible for someone to "querer" two persons at the same time. he responded with an emphatic yes. "a man can definitely love 2 women at the same time". was the most fall off the couch LOL moment for the mister and me. fernando suggested a taste test was the best way to decide who you really want, but ter put up a good innocent front against infidelity. she also managed to keep the actual words used (if nothing else) enough about her worries that arturo still loves paloma to defend herself if a transcript were made. she is a lawyer, after all.
 

Kristoise i loved the second time she went to talk again with Fernando. What i found was the little dance they were playing not only with words but with how she was moving around his apartment and he following her and looking to see what her reaction was. They were both flirting with each other big time as Teresa tries to reel in the big kahuna or shall we say her next victim.

As for Fernando's inheritance that was the reason why he left Luisa before to go back to Spain and get access to it. I think he had to reach a certain age to get it. It would be surprising if his mother still controls the purse strings. We didn't get a lot of details about if he's got total control of his assets or not?
 

I thought Fernando had to go to deal with his father's estate. Is it possible that he was just doing the probate or whatever they have in Spain, but the money is still mostly his mother's? I can't remember whether they said he was one of the richest men in Spain NOW, or he WOULD BE when he inherits, which might be after Mom kicks it. That feisty lady might be around a good long while. Wouldn't Teresa be chapped if she left Arturo for him and then found he wasn't quite so wealthy as she assumed? Anyone remember the details of his inheritance?
 

I think he did mention something about it being out of probate and that his mother would be happy about that and that this would end her worries about having access to the money.

Now what is interesting Fernando has been described as one of the richest men in Spain does this include his inheritance or the company he runs?

Either way he's still richer than Arturo which lit up our little shark eyes when she found this out.Dollars signs replacing her normal irises in her eyes.
 

Julia- I seem to remember that there was some trouble with another male family member (possibly an uncle) claiming part of the inheritance since Fer's dad did not leave a (clear) will. From all Art and Luisa have said, Fern is very rich already. But once he has his inheritance free and clear he will be SUPER rich.

Last night Teresa commented that she thought Fern's apartment would be tiny, from the way Fern describes it. Art then said something like, compared to what he's used to, this is tiny. Meaning that Fern grew up in luxery.

Hmmm… so now Teresa is scraping her dorsal fin against Fernando. But if I read my womanizing bachelors correctly, Fernando’s interest in Teresa is purely physical. Therefore, her plan to clamp her jaws into him may backfire because his willingness to get entangled with her may have unexpected limits. In other words, Fernando may not be as much of a chump as Mariano or Arturo. He may not be willing to climb any mountain, or cross any ocean, just to be with Teresa.

Rich, philandering bachelors may be scoundrels, but they tend to be pragmatic. If they see a woman they like, they’ll go after her, but if doing so will cause too many problems, then forget it, she’s not worth the hassle.

Paulo, was kind of like this. Once pursuing Teresa became problematic, he sought to change the nature of their relationship in a way that made sense to his womanizing brain.

On a different topic, I was starting to go back and read the recaps of Teresa so I could get caught up. It got me thinking that I’d like to see previous episodes on DVD. When I started looking around, I could not find many complete sets of Telenovelas on DVD from large retailers such as Amazon.com. I guess there is not enough product demand for this. I noticed there are episodes of Teresa on YouTube, but the video resolution is low. I suppose that’s better than nothing.

I’m totally new to the world of Telenovelas, so this may be normal.
 

SharkByte- Considering that Teresa just ended recently in Mexico, it might be a while before it's on dvd. Popular tns often come out of dvd, but they are almost always abridged. Most people do not like that so much gets cut out to fit the dvd format.

You can find Teresa episodes on dailymotion.com too I believe. The quality is way better than what you find on YouTube.
 

Yes, Kristoise, Sharky brought up the topic of someone being able to love 2 people at the same time. She pretended she meant Art loving Tere and Pal but she really meant if Fer would let himself be in love with two women at the same time, Luisa and now Tere, And of course also this also means Tere could be in love with Art and Fer at the same time. Tere was suggestively about 1 inch away from Fer's face. I wonder how Tere thinks she can eventually reel Mr. Perennial Bachelor into marriage since she needs to marry him to obtain his money. Does she thinks she is so desirable that she can accomplish this mission where others failed?

I'm totally bummed Martin's out of the picture (for now??), he's adorable and perfect for Aurora (although ultimately I'm rooting for "Auroriano"--Martin needs to come out of this with Luisa at least, I agree!). Dude needs to lose the gold turtleneck though.

Not a fan of Mariano in suits, by the way... he looks totally uncomfortable. He sure does like that doctor's coat buttoned up, huh? I think I prefer the taxista- wear ;) (without the pompadour).

I have to agree, Aida is growing on me (when she's not in berrinche mode). She's kind of fun to watch! I get the feeling she's the token redemption of this group... that would make me happy.

Teresa just keeps getting smarmier, although I'm secretly hoping she and Fernando do get together and wind up making each other miserable. Can't wait to see what Mama Fernando does with her.
