Teresa Fri 7/15/11 #98 OOOH-LA-LA!

CASA ALCAZAR: The B!tch is Back: Juana’s just met Vanesssssssa and has lost her cookies. Damn! Juana thought Hector was a free man? Vanessa admits she’s been gone a long time but she’s back now. She tells Juana that Hector didn’t mention her at all even though they had a very long talk catching up on things. Juana tells her she’s his friend and gathers her cookies and broken platter and humbly walks away. Her body language says it all and I cringe at her humiliation.

HOSPITAL: Aida tells Mariano all about the fraud and she’s come to the conclusion that Daddykins must’ve married Mayra only for her money. Her grandfather took him into the business and taught him everything about the notario so he could run the family business and look how he’s repaid her! It’s not the money, Mayra has enough to live the rest of her life as a queen, but imagine the horror of discovering the person you love betraying you. She tells Mariano she loves him very much but she wouldn’t put up with any type of betrayal. She understands their relationship started out as a way to forget about Teresa and Paulo but now everything’s changed for her and she’s fallen in love with him. Mariano tells her he cares for her too (doesn’t say, “te amo”) but she shouldn’t let her parents’ troubles cause her to doubt him. She’s sobbing on his shoulder.

CASA CHAVEZ: Hector’s come looking for Juana and Pati tells him she was on her way to his house. Hector’s screwed. Ruh-roh! He knows this is bad.

Mariano and Aida are out walking and she explains they’re not planning on telling anyone about the fraud, not even Genoveva (good call). Mayra calls her from Ruben’s office, saying she’s come to confront him. They hang up as he walks in. He immediately tries to soften her up, telling her they shouldn’t argue. She tells him there’s nothing to argue about, she’ll never trust him again. She doesn’t need explanations from him – he’s the worst man in the world. She can’t stand to be near him and decides it’s best to work from home. He gives her the line that Amadeo had to leave unexpectedly due to a family emergency. She tells him she’s aware of that and therefore will move all her documents to her home. He pleads with her not to leave the notaría. He wants her close to him. That’s the last thing she wants and she flings her wedding ring at him, calling him a liar (mentiroso) and a disgrace (desgraciado)! He comes toward her as though he’s going to kiss/hug her but she stops him cold with a slap. He explains again that he didn’t know about Espe’s pregnancy. It’s unfair that she should leave him for that. He attempts to come near her again and again she slaps him and screams incoherently. An office worker comes in ready to tape up the boxes that she’s already packed. Ruben asks him to leave them alone. Ruben tells her it makes no sense to work from home and besides Amadeo isn’t in Mexico. He offers to help her while he’s gone. ¡NO, RUBEN! He’s disappointed her so much she can’t stand being near him, much less work with him. That “estupida” who believed all your lies has died. She leaves and Office Guy comes back in before Ruben can get to the boxes. Ruben stands there as Office Guy begins to seal the boxes, symbolically sealing his fate as well. dun-dun-DUNNNN!

CASA CHAVEZ: Hector frantically calls home and Maura, the maid, gives him the bad news that Juana was there and spoke with Vanessssssa. He decides to wait at the Chavez’ for her to come home.

CASA ALCAZAR: Aurora is looking for Mommy Dearest, who comes in wearing an apron (oh, please). She’s been helping Maura bake Aurora’s favorite. She mentions Juana’s visit and Aurora fills her in, telling her of Hector’s marital plans. Vanessa adamantly claims he can’t marry because they’re still married. Aurora explains that after searching for her for years, he divorced her. Aurora’s all, “no puede ser”. He couldn’t have divorced her! Aurora wonders why she seems so upset. Does mumsy still love daddykins? Vanessa explains after so many years she thought that love had died but well, she asks Aurora not to listen to her and not tell Hector anything. When is he planning to marry that woman? Vanessa’s not surprised at Juana’s reaction when she explained who she is. She describes Juana as “muy humilde” (very humble) and feels she has no place next to her (meaning her station in life). Aurora tells her she really cares for Juana and she’s a good woman. Vanesssssssa hisses back that to be the wife of a hospital director, one needs to be more than a good woman. She doesn’t understand what Hector saw in her. Aurora, who doesn’t like this side of Mommy Dearest, reminds her that she was gone for a long time. Vanessa recovers and changes the subject and asks what their plans are for today. She chats on about getting to know one another, their likes and dislikes. Aurora seems impactada by her snobbery.

JUANA’S APT: Hector comes in and she promptly tells him she has nothing to say to him. Yes, she’s met Vanessa, his wife who’s returned and is now in his house. He can have her. She kicks him out forthwith! Hector pounds on the door. She yells at him to leave. He pleads with her to at least let him explain. She doesn’t want to hear anything he has to say. She’s at the sink filling a bucket with water as she tells him she doesn’t care if Vanessa is Aurora’s mother. She opens the door only to throw the bucket of water in his face and threatens to call the police. Poor Hector. He peeks in through the window, a la Cutberto. Juana’s now crying and tells him Vanessa introduced herself as his wife. She also heard Maura explain that her clothes and belongings were already in place. “But not in my room,” Hector explains. He tells of how Vanessa showed up unexpectedly, Aurora invited her to stay, and he’s going to stay in a hotel. He hadn’t had a chance to explain to Vanessa about Juana. They only spoke of the past and Aurora. Juana’s not backing down and wonders what her game is, for them to return to the “happy family”? How many times does he have to tell her there’s nothing between him and Vanessa? Vanessa will only be there for a few days and he’s only doing this for his daughter. It’s very clear to Juana that Vanessa wants to get back with him or she wouldn’t have introduced herself as his wife. He swears that the only woman who interests him is Juana. Is he sure, because she thinks Vanessa is very attractive and elegant. Even so, he says, he’s not interested in her. Juana’s not so sure or he would’ve mentioned her to Vanessa. It’s time they take a break. After Vanessa leaves, they can talk -- if she’s still available.

FERNANDO’S APT: Luisa has surprised him with candles and champagne to celebrate an anniversary of sorts. She jokes he may have forgotten. Of course he didn’t and he hands her necklace, promising that on each anniversary he’ll give her another piece of the set. He pours the champagne and tells her she makes him feel like the most loved man in the world. Smoochies.

CASA CACERES: Mariano and Aida arrive after an apparently good time. She tells him she’s very happy and proposes they move in together. Mariano seems to be going over the Man Law Guidebook wondering how he’s gonna get out of this one. Aida notices his hesitation. He stammers and stutters that her proposal caught him off guard and is a bit rushed (precipitada). He’s not in a position to offer her anything or a place to share with her. She begins to offer to get a place but he cuts her off. It’s not just that, he says. When he’s ready, it will be in a place he can afford, plus, this is too soon. Everything’s cool the way it is now. She tells him to forget about it until he’s ready.

GENO’S HOUSE OF SOFAS: Ruben is furious about Mayra taking all her files home. He doesn’t know how he’ll be able to hide the fraud without those documents. He really needs Geno’s help. She doesn’t know how seeing as Mayra has forbidden her to mention his name in her presence. He wonders if Mayra has found out about the fraud. He tells her to talk with Aida and confirms she spoke with Fernando about pushing up the construction timeline. He’s frantic that this project comes through.

PARIS! Teresa’s on the phone with Amadeo. He’s told her of Aida’s plan not to let Ruben know they’ve discovered the fraud. Teresa instructs him to stay in D.F. and stay close to Aida to find out what she’s up to. She tells him this will also help him make sure he won’t have any problems. Arturo comes in looking all hawt in his pajama bottoms (ay papi). He tries to talk her into undressing and staying in the room today. She prefers to do more sightseeing. Smoochies.

FERNANDO’S APT: Fer has talked to mumsy who’s told him to let her oversee the Luna Turqueza construction and not bother coming to Cancun unless they’re coming on vacation. They both agree they have too much work here in D.F. He says anywhere with her by his side is enough for him. Smoochies.

OUI, OUI, PARIS! More shots of them sightseeing. At dinner, she tells him she’s so happy here she wonders if it would be possible for them to live here, away from everything and everyone. He tells her that’s not possible due to their work and families. But he’s very happy to hear her say that because it means she wants to live the rest of her life with him. She looks at him as though she’s warming to the idea.

VECINDAD: Refugio continues to suggest to Juana that she go after Cutberto. Juana repeats the “I-can’t-give-him-children” story. She breaks into tears when she recounts when Aurora told her she thought of her as a mother. Refugio tells her she’s being silly to think that just because Vanesssssa is back on the scene, that doesn’t mean Aurora will stop having feelings for her. Juana thinks now that Vanessssa is back, Aurora will have her mother to talk to, to comprehend her.

CASA CACERES: Aida congratulates Mayra for moving her documents. If Ruben discovers there’s an audit in her holdings, he’s capable of leaving the country. Mayra doesn’t want him to escape but wonders if Aida wants to pursue this because he’s her father. This starts Aida on one of her screeching rants. She’d be angry at anyone who stole from her mother. The fact that it’s her father only makes it worse. She can’t forgive him. He deserves the worst of punishments. She just wants justice for her mother.

VECINDAD: Aurora has come by to visit Juana, rocking a 60’s look. Juana’s happy her mother has returned but it’s very clear she no longer needs a second mamá. On the contrary, says Aurora. No one has shown her such love as Juana has, even her own mother. She’s realizes Juana and others know her so much better than her mother. Juana says in time things will change. Aurora pleads Hector’s case, telling her he really loves her and the idea to have Vanessa stay at the house was entirely her own idea (Aurora’s). Please hear him out. Juana tells her there’s no need to intercede for Papá. She made it very clear to him yesterday and all the times she hung up on him today. It’s best he stop insisting and sending flowers. Aurora tries again, telling her that her father wanted to talk to Vanessa before talking to her. Hector and Vanessa have agreed to leave the past buried for her sake but she can’t stand to see Papá so sad. It isn’t fair that while she got her mother back, he’s lost the woman he loves.

PARIS: Arturo presents Teresa with a vial of perfume made specifically for her at the perfumery they visited earlier. It was made based on her personality (hmmm, a bit of shark fin, ground shark teeth, poison ivy, and oh yes, a drop of Love Potion #9). He’s named it…….”Teresa” They share a romantic kiss and she seems quite taken by the gesture. Arturo is making all the right moves as long as he’s alone with her in Europe, but what will happen once they return?

CASA ALCAZAR: Hector confronts She-Wolf Vanessa, telling her he’s said all he’s going to say to her, except for one important thing: Juana is the woman he loves. Vanessa reacts as though she’s going to cry and Hector tells her “Puhleeze, no drama.” He doesn’t believe anything of her. She asks him not to be so hard on her and to try to understand her. She never thought it would hurt so much to discover he’d divorced her. A tear falls as she hugs him. Aw man, he hugs her back and HE starts to cry. Vanessa knows Juana broke it off and she thought that…….Hector stops her and tells her Juana is very angry because he hadn’t told her about Vanessa’s return. That was his mistake. He first had to clear things up with Vanessa. She wonders why he didn’t tell her about Juana.

JUANA’S APT: Aurora feeds Juana the line that her mother had been in South America and didn’t have enough money to get back to her, but she never stopped thinking of her. Juana’s very happy for her and hopes she’ll enjoy this time she has with her. Aurora explains she was so happy to know she still loved her that she didn’t think twice about inviting her to stay or talking it over with Papá. Hector told Juana how much he had loved Vanessa and how it hurt to lose her. So now, who knows what will happen. Aurora would love nothing more than to have her parents together but she knows that’s impossible. He loves Juana. Juana’s not so sure. If he loved her, he would’ve told her immediately of Vanessa’s reappearance, or not allow her in his house, or leave himself. Aurora repeats that was all her fault. She apologizes and asks her to please speak with Papá. Juana has nothing to forgive. She feels Hector has some unresolved issues with Vanessa and it’s best he clear those up before their relationship goes any further. She tearfully tells Aurora she will always be there if she needs her.

CASA ALCAZAR: Hector tells Vanessa his personal life is none of her business. He will only discuss his life as it pertains to Aurora. Vanessa tells him he’s wrong. She cares very deeply about him and about what happens to him. He was her husband and the father of her childl. No, he says. If she really cared, she wouldn’t have run off with another! She can save her comments! He turns and walks away from her and she cries but I can’t help seeing something sinister brewing. Am I wrong?

CASA CHAVEZ: Juana tells Refugio about Aurora’s visit. Oh, brother, she keeps telling her to go after Cutberto and now she tells her to give Hector another chance. The presence of the first wife does pose a problem but Refugio thinks Cutberto is the real reason behind refusing Hector.

PARIS: COULD IT BE? DOES ARTIE FINALLY MAKE IT TO PARADISE? They arrive back to their room and Teresa takes another whiff of “Teresa”. Art partakes of the scent on her wrist. Then she dabs more on her neck, then on the crook of her elbow. He kisses both in turn and then the real make-out session begins and they end up on the bed…….aaaaaand we fade to another scene.

HOSPITAL: Aurora tells Mariano of her conversation with Juana, trying to convince her to make up with her dad. Mariano thinks Juana may be right. Vanessa not only needs to clear things up with Aurora, but also with Hector. She wonders if it’s possible they can rekindle their love after all this time. But she’s sad to see Hector so heartbroken over Juana. She wishes there was something she could do. Mariano advises it’s best she leave it to them to figure it out.

PARIS: OOOH-LA-LA! The Eagle has landed! Arturo and Teresa are snuggling post coochie-coochie. He kisses her and tells her he loves her. She just kisses him back. He has another surprise for her. She closes her eyes as he reaches for a jewelry box and behold! One big a$$ diamond ring. He tells her “La tercera es la vencida” (Vencida=conquered but the saying is equal to ‘third one’s the charm’). He’s already given her 2 engagement rings. With the first 2, he promised to marry her. With this third ring, he promises his love for the rest of his life. She’s muy feliz! He asks if she really liked it. Of course she does! She tells him this trip has helped her discover him. This trip, this ring, signifies a new stage (etapa) for her and for them. She kisses him passionately. They resume the smoochfest as we bid them farewell for the weekend.

Whew! So glad Artie finally got some lovin' in the City of L'Amour! He should probably keep her there, far away from Mariano!

Am I wrong about Vanesssssa? Is she mala or do I just want her to be. We saw a little of her snobbish side tonight but not much more. Is it possible she really is back to reconcile with her family? Who was the "other man"? I'm teetering now.

Rubigote's fraud storyline is moving quickly. It's so exciting and wonderful to see Mayra standing up for herself! Yay, Mayra!

Previews look like Mariano's gonna give in to moving in with Aida? ugh. We'll see.

So what do you all think about Vanessa? Villain? or repentant wife/mother?

Mala! Esa hembra es mala! I think Vanessa's up to something. For one thing, she doesn't exactly look like she's been roughing it. For another, how much does a phone call cost? If she had really wanted to come back sooner, she could have called and I'm sure Hector would have bought her a plane ticket, if only for some resolution and so Aurora would be able to see her mother. At the very least she could have written to her daughter some time in two decades.

She may want to get back together with Hector, but I bet it's not because she luuuuuurves him so much. If she were repentant, she wouldn't be so cagey about where she's been and what she's been doing. Unless it's REALLY embarrassing. OMG, what could it be?! Has she been in prison? Drug running? Porn career? Living in a vecindad doing laundry? Writing "Triunfo del Amor"?

Looks like we'll have a few months' jump for Teresa and Arturo to return. I hope that means Espe's baby will be out of danger and Johnny and Pati will have grown up and quit playing by Refugio's silly rules.

Thanks mucho. You really capture all the sturm und drang of the thing in your writing.

Great job as usual Paquita, a perfect summary of what happened.

Julia, your points are right on. Maybe if she spent a little less on clothes, she could have afforded a phone call.

To not even try to see her daughter for 20 years or make any contact at all, it is hard to believe that Aurora actually calls her “mama”, even considering her passive personality. Again, I hope she has a giant cathartic moment one day, and hopefully that will include telling Vanessa off.

So why is Vanessa back in Hector’s life? Maybe Vanessa is a con-artist and Hector is just the latest target of one of her swindles. If so, she might be working with someone, like another man who is at a hotel or wherever. We’ll know in the episodes to come if that’s the case, because we’ll see her making secret phone calls or what not.

Hector previously said he had Vanessa “investigated” back when they originally separated; maybe he needs to do that again.

"Unless it's REALLY embarrassing. OMG, what could it be?! Has she been in prison? Drug running? Porn career? Living in a vecindad doing laundry? Writing "Triunfo del Amor"?"

LOL Julia! That last line had me nearly spitting out my Sat morning tea.

Frances- Thank you so much for the wonderful recap. I loved the subheading titles.

Yay! Art finally gets lucky. Teresa looks like she now thinks living with a man who buys you increasingly larger diamond rings every couple of months, has a perfume made up just for you, and fulfills any other whim and fancy you might have, isn't so bad. And let's not forget he's gorgeous and kind too. I don't see what the conflict is. Well, we will when she returns to Mex to find Mar and Aida closer than before and possibly shacked up.

Vanessa is MALA. I'm glad that Aurora caught on to her snobishness and called her on it. I'm sure she will soon discover some more undesireble things abut mommy dearest.

Refugio is right that Juana is just using the Vanessa things as an excuse to break up with Hector, because she's still hung up on Cutberto. Instead of trying to project this onto Hector by saying he's not over Vanessa, she should be honest with him and tell him Cutberto leaving has showed her how strong her feelings are for that dumb bunny.

Esa embre es mala! Vanessssssa is up to no good. I suspect she's broke and came running back to what she thought would be a sure thing.

Doesn't she know that Hector divorced her?

She is a more sophisticated version of Victor's wife from Nina Amada Mia and looking to wreak the same havoc.

This episode makes me want to go to Paris.

BTW, the Eiffel Tower was originally built for the Paris Exhibition in 1889 and meant only to stand for 20 years. Critics hated it, considering it an eyesore. In 1909 the demolition was cancelled when the tower was discovered to have value for communication technology. It was the tallest structure in the world until NYC's Chrysler Building was completed in 1930.

Shark fin, sea water, and blood... sounds like the right fragrance for Tiburoncita.

No matter how much money Mayra inherited she should sue Ruben for everything he stole and then some.

Paquita: Very fast and tight recap, good work! Yeah, you know Vanessa is mala when they play scary music in the background. Also, Hectors reactions to her tell you life with her must have been h#//. And she comes out like Donna Reed or June Cleaver wearing an apron baking Aurora's favorite "galletas" as if the last 20 years never happened. Scary.
I'm glad Mar didn't move right in with Aida.

Frances: "Juana’s just met Vanesssssssa and has lost her cookies." LOL! That got my morning off just right!

Vanessssssa por mi parte, ella es muy mala. Perhaps the dude she ran off with was Gen's ex-hubby!
======================

I believe that Aurora told Vanessa that she's an ex-wife now but was no where to be found (when the announcement went out, so according to Mexican law, she has to counter within 5 days of the notice being in the papers or some such). Vain Van took it like a kick in the teeth which is probably all she deserves.

UrbanA:

I felt the same way as you seeing the sights of Paris unfold before our very eyes. Magical indeed! Been there twice and loved it each time.

Paquita, great recap. I missed the first half so I appreciate the detail on Juana's response to Vanessa.

Vanessa is strictly mala, out for money/security only. Whatever game she's been playing all these years has run out and Hector and Aurora are her last resort. She knows her beauty is her best weapon so she's going to use this to play Hector. That she's going to use Aurora's longing for a mother is downright criminal. Aurora's smart - I hate to see her unwittingly do her mom's bidding, but I think Vanessa will continue to manipulate her to draw a bigger wedge between Hector and Juana, and probably Mar too since he's suspicious of her. But I do agree Juana's using this to break up cause she's still hung up on Cutberto.

Aida is so pushy with Mar. How long can he put up with this?

Giving a third ring was quite gran detalle by Arturo. If Teresa didn't forgive and start anew with this, I sure did. But that ring really is too big.

Yeah, we...well, Art finally got some action last night. Figured Paris would be the trick.

Lol at your description of the frangrance. I was thinking it had that charming scent of fresh cut bills coming out of the mint. And another rock she may have to hock when she gets home to shut up Fito? Enjoy while you can honey.

I too noticed that even when Mar and Aeeeddda were all blissful (blech!) after their passionate hook up and she was all "I love you" he didn't answer back tha same. And he still won't it. The deer in headlights reaction to her idea of shacking up says something ain't right in this hook-up...and personally I could 't be happier. They are ok as a short term thing, but I just can't picture them together in a "family" setting.

Vanessa- so we have another snooty former society dame? She immediately thinks of Juana as not good enough because of being poor. The way she freaked out about Hector divorcing her, etc. tells me that this broad has serious issues. What the hell was he supposed to do all those years while she was having her "adventure". And like everyone here, I immediately thought "what there were no phones where you were?" The sad thing is Aurora's brain cells don't register that right now.

I say she is in need of cash and the old boyfriend may have finally dumped her. Though I do like Sharkbyte's idea she may be working with someone else. In any case, she's mala big time and I think Aurora is in for a major heartbreak over this witch.

I also don't hold out much hope for Juana and Hector though. Refuse-to-give-it-a-rest has planted the seed of Cut-ho again (and again and again. Or maybe poor Juana is one of those characters that just will not get their true desire at the end. Sniff.

Previews - wait till Terror finds out Mar and Aeeedddaaa are a couple. Fireworks anyone?

Loved the recap Frances. So Paris was the trick after all for Arturo to finally get some lovin. Was that a huge ring or what? Teresa's eyes sure lit up didn't they when she saw that huge sparkling diamond. However, I'm a bit worried about what will happen when they return home and back to daily life away from the fantasy and romance of Paris.

I too noticed that Teresa didn't say that she loved Arturo when he confessed his love for her.

Vanessa is up to no good with her crocodile tears. Yep. She's Teresa from the past. I wonder what does she have up her sleeve?

Ruben couldn't stop Mayra from taking the papers which proves his fraud. What will he do since he's becoming desperate.

Sharkbyte, I want to know what the man law is regarding Mariano's dilemma in moving in with Aida.

Yup, Vanessa is mala, mala and mala. She lost her youth and probably her man and is now home to fleece Hector and Aurora for a while. Good thing Hector just divorced to pursue Juana since Vani would try to claim his $$$$ somehow and like she is doing, move right in. Her" let's forget about the past and think of the future" may not fly with Aurora much longer as the initial excitement of the reunion wears off. And Aurora now knows Mommy is a snob now. I think she'd like to know what Mom's been doing for some 20 years or so.

Paquita, your recaps are great fun. Great lines: Juana has lost her cookies, Geno's house of sofas, your Paris titles, and ingredients of perfume "Teresa." Thanks. Also laughed at "the freshly cut scent of newly minted bills," Daisynjay.

Fer seems happy with Luisa with Sharkette out of the country. How long before Luisa receives the entire set of jewelry and that ring. Not before Tere returns, unfortunately.

Ruben is screwed. What will he do?

GinCA

Paquita what a awesome recap and thank you.

SO it took Paris to finally get some along with a perfume name after our little shark. Congrats Arturo.

Vanessa is definitely up to something and her reaction upon learning that hector finally divorced her leads me to believe she thought she was definitely going to be using him to get whatever she wants when she finally made her appearance again.

Poor Aurora is in for some major heartbreak. What in the world who cooks or bakes wearing their outside coat under a apron?

The noose is tightening upon Ruben and loved that Mayra stood steadfast in her decision to expose and bring down Ruben.

Mariano living with Aeeeeeeeeeeeda i think that look of his was like you're ok to shag with but to live with? AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no!!!!!!!!

Boy did he have a deer in the headlights look when she suggested that. This gives me hope that this temporary relationship won't last.

Daisynjay you were so right about that and Mariano hasn't old her he is in love with her. Thank goodness.

it looks like his dumb father is urging him to go live with her in the previews for Monday. Ramon needs to butt out of his son life about this. He doesn't really know but Mariano is using Aeeeeeeeeeeeeeeda as his rebound girl to get over Teresa.

The fact that Mariano is still bringing up his lost chance with Aurora gives me hope eventually that he will go to her It looks like she is going to need his consoling after she discovers what her mother is really after.

Like it's been said she couldn't even bother to call her own daughter all of these years? Please she could have got a calling card or something.

Ramon's only concern is that Mariano stay away from Teresa. If Aida is the person to keep Mariano away from Teresa, then Ramon is on Team Aida.

If/when Mariano and Aida break up and it's clear there's no getting back together and Aurora starts hanging around, Ramon will be on Team Aurora (like he was at first before Aurora got together with Martin).

Basically Ramon will be on Team Aida, Team Aurora, Team Whoever...as long as that person is not Teresa.

Paquita - Great recap - Delighted
to read about Love Potion #9.

Sharkbyte, I commented on your "Man Talk," on Thursday's page. Don't know if you read it;
it was late in the day.

Paquita loved the Geno's House of Sofas !!! I'm always looking for a huge mirror thinking that's why kit seems like there are 10 sofas in that room! All that money she should get Candice from HGTV there for a make over...

I agree Vanessa is bad, she came from the same time warp as Paloma. Both nuts expected to walk right in and say "honey I'm home". And no one would even notice, maybe they were both kidnapped by aliens & have no sense of lost time ???

Hector should have put his foot down when it came to Vanessa moving in, she could be a thief , ax murderer , mental hospital escapee... Aurora is loosing lots if points with me because she is acting like an idiot! Who could call someone mom after 20 years !?

I give Teresa credit for walking all over Paris & Spain wearing high heels all day !

PS. I get the feeling that Theresa's signature scent is going to get her in trouble, maybe Art will smell it on fernando?

My daughter also went to the opening night of Harry Potter here in Portland, OR, she said people were there at 8am for the midnight showing !

Anonymous - I responded to you on Thursday's page (episode 97).

Oooo good pickup on the signature scent, Elle. I never would have thought of that.

Hector is more fun now that he's growing a personality. When he gets all "no me lo digas" at Vanessa, he's actually kind of cute.

Pirate Babe,

Yes, Mariano was quite stunned when Aida mentioned them moving in together. Paquita’s comment about Mariano searching the Man Law Guidebook for an excuse was hilarious!

You asked me which Man Law applies. Well, Mariano had that “deer in the headlights” look because he knew that Aida moving in at this point is a clear violation of Man Law #29.

Man Law #29 = Keep your options open. Women are not allowed to move in unless you’ve been dating a minimum of 6 months. However, this ruling can be overturned if she is deemed attractive enough by a preponderance of your cool man friends. Nerd votes do not count.

There are other provisions that apply, but that’s the main one. What would you girls do without me?

Yes, Sharkbyte, what would we do without you? Please,
never leave!

Diann

Frances, thank you for the wonderful recap. I agree with you on Vanessa, something looks fishy.

I'm glad Arturo finally got there with Teresa. He did very well I have to say. I wouldn't mind being pampered by him.

I'm also enjoying seeing the fall of Rubigote.

Sharkbyte: 6 months? Really? That's a little fast for me even. Although each day I'm realizing more and more that I'm a little commitment phobic.

By the way, Cinthya Klitbo y Eugenia Cauduro, it's been fourteen years and you are still fighting over a man. I'm so dissapointed in you girls :shakeshead:.

Jarocha

Jarocha,

6 months is the minimum. The official Man Law recommended time is "Yeah, Right", which is calculated as being somewhere between "That was funny! For a minute there I thought you were serious!” and "Move out of the way, I can't see the game!"

JAJAJAJA. Where is that "like" button?

Sharkbyte,
Read your response to Anonymous from last Thursday.

As said above, where's the "Like" button?

Love, love, loved your response. I totally appreciate exactly how you are and find your recaps and comments extremely entertaining. (Are you a writer?) If not, you missed your calling!

P.S. What small town outside of Fresno? Selma?

Sharkbyte: hehe, I would have thought the "move out of the way" would be the time after moving in together. Anyway, I'm glad 6 months is only the minimum.

Jarocha

Jarocha, I watched the clip and saw the familiar faces of Hector the Director and Refusio as well. They are all a bit younger but not that different except for Cynthia's hair. These novelas certainly seem to use the same actors time after time.

Sharkbyte, you have brought a whole 'nother level of fun to watching Teresa now.

Man Law #29 - luv it! Wonder where Mariano keeps his copy of the book?

Elle, brilliant idea about the "Eau de Snake". Just better not find it's way all over Mariano.

After reading through cap #97's comments, I need to say a couple of things as moderator for Teresa. Those of you who are familiar with me know I enjoy witty wordplay as much if not more so than the next person on this blog. We are known to play rough here at times, and certain readers don't know quite how to handle it. Melinama has posted cautionary disclaimers at the top of the site for the weaker souls who choose to walk/swim among us. I would ask for a bit more patience and or restraint when dealing with negative commentors, though I also suggest that when someone, especially an anonymous commentor, is swimming with sharks that they do what the pro's do and use a cage. I'm leaving the comments up because I believe in debate and open discourse. If comments deteriorate into schoolyard/teenaged punk trash talk they'll go straight to the virtual dumper.

Thanks, Jardinera. Plenty of room in the sandbox for all of us!

Diann - thanks for your positive and supportive comments.

Wow, I feel really bad now about those spring break videos of you I put on YouTube. Ooooo, gotcha! :^)

Jardinera – I promise my comments won’t deteriorate to the schoolyard level – hold on a second, I have a booger I need to pick…mmmm, now that’s tasty!

Sorry, I couldn't resist! :^)

SharkByte: I suppose it beats wiping it on your clothes....

Hello everyone! Not able to watch the program but keeping up with the action using the fantastic recaps and comments, thanks!

Juana is one of those real life characters that "accidentally" hurts people. It would have been in everyone's best interests if she had just told Cutberto about her fertility issues rather than making an unilateral decision for the both of them. Now she has "accidentally" engaged Hector and Aurora in a relationship and one or all of them might be hurt as a result.  I like Juana, but she needs to exert herself more, then she might have better results with her romances.
