Cuando Me Enamoro #100 Wednesday 9/7/11 More face-offs... 10 ways to be blood relatives... Augie's tantrums and Chema's bad day and bad headache‏

Recap by Marta Ivett

Padre tells Jero to let Renata help in the search for Matilde. To hold his pride back.

Carlos thanks Nata. Nata thanks them to let her help. So good you all leave your pride aside.

Antonio, more pale face than ever, says goodbye to Gina but can’t find the courage to tell her the truth.
She says she always felt friendly love for him. He admits he felt lots of rage in denyal that she never loved him, and that led him to make mistakes. She says he was always wonderful and that Is the memory she wants to keep. Where will you go? Spain and then farther away. Forgive me.

Selena comes to MR manor looking for Berta… Fina tells her she is in Ensenada.
Fina can’t get anyone to stay in her house for more than 2 minutes even by accident. LOL

At Ensenada, Everyone is looking for Mati.

Nata tells Carlos Mati was the only one who was totally honest with her. Carlos gets a chance to appologize to Nata for doubting her before. Nata says he really never doubted her. He admits even if he was supporting Jero, he always tried to get Jero to confront her about it.

Berta tells Augie her mom wants her to return to MC… Augie says that would be a good idea. She takes a cell call from Sele… Berta lies to Sele about being in a beach and fakes asking her about Augie and her. Sele knows she is in Ensenada. Berta mocks Sele on her luck with Augie since he is nowhere to be found in regards to her. When they hang up, Sele accuses Berta of being a hypocrite.

Honorio and Connie make plans to get back together when he gets out of jail. But he is concerned about her safety if she digs too much into the Regina/Renata/Roberta/Fina issue.

Gina tells Ines that Antonio came to say goodbye. Gina admires his gentleman manners. She is thankful to him for his efforts in finding her daughter. She feels sad for having to close some circles (turn over some pages) but she also tells Ines she agreed to marry Gonzo at end of next month. Ines is very happy for her.

Fina finds in the internet how to get a DNA test, can do it via hair or saliva… She gets happy, thinks it is much easier than she thought.

The police commander tells Gonzo, Matt and Connie that Blanca is lost, will be in jail many years… even thought he can’t guarantee they will get all their money back. Gonzo says the safety of his family is what matters and thanks the commander for all his help.

Adri is having second thoughts about calling Chema’s cell phone, since Matt is her boyfriend.

Padre heard that Mati took a bus, but doesn’t know where, just that it was heading south. Jero and Nata tell Carlos that is good news, at least they know she is ok.

Berta and Augie are at the beach alone… Augie brings up the subject that Rafa perhaps did love her. She says lets forget everyone else and enjoy each other…

Manuela and Kari give a piece of their mind to Carlos parents…

Alfonsina tells Ezequiel about Mati’s running away and about the pesticide that has been successful against the plague in all vineyards but its only missing in Cruz de Amor. Ezeq says he will mention it to his boss… She is not sure why they keep on living together… don’t you get tired of being mad at me? He just smirks in anger and leaves. This man surely needs an anger management lesson too... along with his boss the Hulk man...

Jero, Lazaro and Carlos arrive to the hacienda and run into Carlos' parents… Jero is courteous, Lazaro just leaves the room. Sele calls the hacienda, she agrees with Jero to meet at MC the next day, she has something important to tell him about Roberta’s baby… she wants to tell him who was the daddy.

Carlos confronts his parents… blames them for what happened. They continue their stance that they did what was best for him… Carlos yells at them that Mati decided to give them their place. He hands them Mati’s letter to show them why he fell in love with her.

Ezeq mentions to Augie that at La Bonita they were able to end the plague… Augie gets mad and lets Ezeq do whatever he wants. Augie is mad talking to himself 'how could they beat the plague, how???' .. Nata comes in at the wrong time so he yells at her about not coming back earlier. She yells right back saying she won’t let him or anyone yell at her like that.

Carlos stays firm confronting his parents… his parents won’t bulge either… Carlos says Mati might not meet their expectations but she does meet his. (good for you Carlos) His parents say he will always be welcome back home. Carlos says ‘you welcome me! But if you don’t welcome my wife, I will never come back.’ They say never is a strong word. They leave, he falls on couch very upset.

Connie talks to Chema.. is honest and tells him she never really felt love for him. She is getting back with Honorio. Sit tight, Chema, your bad day has only begun.

Adri is with Matias, gives him a collection of videos that he wanted. She says she spent many hours in the internet tracking it. He kisses her, she gets a cell phone call from Chema who needs to talk to her right now…

Antonio comes to the office to say goodbye to Gonzo.. asks him to care for Gina. He claims he is not meaning it as a threat, but if Gonzo does not take care of her, he will come back… (not a threat??)

Augie comes to Nata’s room to try to appologize. She asks him why does he want to control her. He claims it is protection. She does not buy it.
N: I am a woman with wings. If you try to cut them, our relationship will not work. IF you cannot handle the freedom I need then we should call this (relationship) off… you know what I feel for you so we are not lying to each other… think about it. I won’t change who I am for you or for anyone.
He leaves trying to be nice, but really holding his anger. When he leaves the room, Berta is waiting outside the door to mock him.

Jero tries to calm down Carlos, but he just wants to find Mati… Carlos is really desperate, Jero tries to cheer him saying ‘no news is good news’, and says have to go to MC for something really important but will come back tonight to help you look for her. Carlos hopes to find her by then.
Jero won’t tell him what the trip is about until he gets back.

Mati has arrived at what used to be her parents place… She falls asleep in the cot, and later she is confronted by a thug who wants her money, Since she says she has none, he hits her on the head and leaves with her bag.

Matt and Adri at a restaurant… Matt coaches her into cutting off the games with Chema…

Connie and Gonzo at her place… he tells her they will celebrate her reconciliation with Hono, Gonzo asks her when will she tell Hono that she never had anything with Chema. He recommends she clear that up asap… those ghosts of believing you were with another man hurt a good deal. Gonzo tells her Regina agreed to marry him at end of next month. He does not want to tell Fina, just want to finish doing the divorce paperwork. He is certain Fina won’t do anything to cut his plans… she has nothing to do with my life anymore.

Chema tells Adri that Connie breaking up with him did not hurt him as bad as he thought it would, partly because of the kiss they shared the other day. Adri admits she used Chema to get him away from Connie. Chema goes to restroom where he seems to get a mini stroke (at least some HUGE migrain, two rejections in one day… SOMEONE is having a REAL BAD DAY!... )

Fina is alone in her house ‘now I am where I never wanted to be… alone’… she claims that Berta is ungrateful toward her and will have to come back to her, since she has plans for the both of them.

Jero visits Regina to console her for her mom’s loss… tells her to cherish the memories of their good moments together… Gina wishes Cata was able to see her granddaughter again. Gina thanks him for his support… Jero will go right back to the hacienda… had to come for a quick delicate matter… but had to stop to see her… she is very important for him. He is to her too.

Berta keeps making moves at Augie… but he won’t have any… she claims ‘lets see if when you want to, I will want too’.. he assures her she will.

Sele tells Jero that the father of Berta’s baby is not him, but the baby did have his blood… it was the child of his brother Rafael.

Previews: more face-offs with Marina and Nata… Sele tells Jero Berta is sleeping with Augie. Seems like Nata is suspecting something is cooking with Augie and Berta. ‘got something to tell me?’

Thanks so much Marta. Great recap as usual!

Augie needs to give up on this plan of trying to control Nata. Of course, he won't. And that will be his undoing.

I was really worried there for a second that Mati was about to be sacrificed to the telenovela rape gods. I was so relieved that she was just knocked unconscious. OK. Not the best outcome- but it could have been worse.

Yay! Stalking Selene comes through. Berta ought to learn by now that she shouldn't tick off someone who knows so many of her dark little secrets. It's not like she has anything to hold over Selene's head in return. She does all her stalking and craziness out in the open for all to see.

Poor Chema. He was having a VERY bad day. He should also know that if he keeps having these huge headaches and dizzy spells, and needs to keep aspirin in his back pocket, something is very wrong and he needs to get himself to a doctor. If he is sick, I wonder if both Connie and Adri will be by his side, nursing him, and making their men very jealous?

Super recap Marta!

My favorite line: "Fina can’t get anyone to stay in her house for more than 2 minutes even by accident", LOL is right. That comment is hilarious.

I am totally shocked that Sele actually told Jero the baby truth. I was certain, since she wouldn't do it over the phone, that she would somehow be bumped off before she could spill it.

Oh my, Chema did have a VERY BAD day!

Vivi, even though both Coni and Adri dumped Chema they are the types to stick by his side in his time of need, especially since his mama died recently. He's in for a bad time; there is no such thing as a random headache in telenovelaland.

That Roberta is quite the octopus the way she keeps sneaking around and putting her hands all over Augi. I think a 'normal' man would be completely creeped out by her (you guys want to weigh in?) but Augi likes to keep a spare girl around I guess. They are quite the pair.

Marta, thanks for the great recap. The writers sure know how to pack a lot into an hour.

Vivi, thanks for posting.

Thanks Marta. A great recap, your trademark translations, and shrewd observations.

"Sit tight, Chema, your bad day has only begun. "

I was feeling a bit sorry for Chema until his run-in with Adri. So he was devastated by Coni's rejection and yet he felt that he had Adri eagerly waiting for him in the on-deck circle and then is in a snit when he finds out that her kiss (which he initiated while hopelessly in love with Coni) might have been less than sincere? ¡Por favor!

His headaches and dizziness? I would go with brain tumor but we've had one (albeit fake) of those. I'm going to go with aneurysm. Sorry Chema... it really isn't your day.

My favorite part of this TN right now is watching Augie fume and squirm. Now that's entertainment.

I fear that our Matilde's ordeal may be just beginning... this I don't like at all.

Jerry continues to disgust me. Selene offers to tell him who was the father of Roberta's baby (long gone) so he runs to DF at her insistence (couldn't just tell him over the phone?) deserting Carlos whose prometida is missing (at this very moment)? JERK1

Hoping my daughter gets to return to her home today. It was looking good last night but less likely this morning. Wish us luck.

Carlos

Thanks Marta. Great recap as usual. I liked the touch of irony
"Fina can’t get anyone to stay in her house for more than 2 minutes even by accident. LOL"
"Sit tight, Chema, your bad day has only begun. "
" (not a threat??)"

I had the same thought Vivi- maybe those migraines don't herald Chema's departure for the other TN. Maybe his impending illness will bring Adri or Cos or both to his bedside. It could be the thing that makes Adri realize how much that kiss did mean to her.

Go Selene! I watched Roberta playing Selene on the phone with Auggie smirking at her side and I knew she was playing with fire. Berta has taken Selene for granted once too often. I really thought , however, that Selene would get bumped off or in some way disappear before she got to spill the beans. I groaned when she had Jero on the phone & asked him to meet her so she could tell him something important -- I was sure that she wouldn't get the chance. But the writers keep surprising me -- they go down a familiar TN path and then veer back to do the big reveal much sooner than I expected. I love this show!

And you go Renata! Keep standing up to Augustin. He won't be able to stand it and he will show his real colors. Then you'll believe the warning that Jero tried to give you last night in the moonlight beside your white horse.

And Auggie -- who wanted all the La Bonita vines to be lost to the dreaded nematodes -- will he do something more desperate and more overt to try to destroy them?

Poor Carlos! Poor Mati! But I'm glad he stood up to his parents. Maybe they will remember the sweet self sacrificial words of her letter and have a change of heart --- in about 50 episodes from now.

Güera

Best of luck to your daughter, Carlos. I hope she can return to her home soon. The fire caused a huge swath of devastation.

Mil gracias, Marta! A recap as fantastic as ever.

Selene told the truth! Now that ought to stir the pot quite a bit. I wonder how long it will take that news to get back to Nata.

Pobre Chema. I hope he doesn't end up sacrificed to the telenovela gods (thanks for that one, Vivi). A mysterious headache is always a bad sign. At least both Connie and Adri tried to let him down gently. They both have affection for him just not *that* kind of affection. At least, maybe not yet for Adri.

How sad that Matilde ran away. Let's hope Carlos finds her quickly before something worse happens to her.

Amy

good thing that Hono and Connie know that if one of Fina's daughters IS Regina's daughter, then it HAS to be nata, otherwise why would Fina prefer the one that is NOT her daughter? So Fina will ahev a steep climb to present Berta as Berto's daughter even if she can sneak through and switch the DNA test results... her attitude towards the girls just won't add up with her claims...

Now lets hope that Jero does something with the Rafa the baby daddy info, other than get mad at Nata again... he should take his anger on Berta for a change instead of on Nata...

Matilde's hope would be Lazaro. She said that house used to be where she lived with her parents, and lazaro being her brother, he would know where that house is (and where her hometown is). I too am glad the TN writers did not go the TNrape route... at least so far.

Lazaro is our hero. I agree he will be instrumental in saving Mati. Nobody does saving like Lazaro!

Yes, Lazaro has been heroic all the way through. I was wondering why he didn't immediately think of the family homestead when he heard that she took a bus "for the south"

Marta! As Dr. Carlos said, you did this recap in your usual style! Thank you so much!

I am with Dr. Carlos on his assessment of both Chema and Jero. Why Jero couldn't have forced Stalking Selene to just tell him over the phone is beyond me, but there you have it.

I missed the very beginning of last night's capitulo (Yes...THREE days in a row of seeing it 'live' on Univision Pacifico on Justin.Tv!!!) when Tony the Toreador went to see Gina. I only caught the tail end of their conversation.

What, exactly, brought him to pull himself out of the race to win Gina? Was it the bad taste in his mouth from dealing with Malafina?

I also assume that Malfina's interest in DNA test relates to both Renata and Roberta, yes? If not, could one of you please clarify for me?

I love Nata last night when she stood up to that goon Augie Doggie (I should stop using Augie Doggie as I have seen that little cartoon character on Boomerang channel and he is very cute!). I ESPECIALLY loved it when she told him she was a woman with wings! I love her...just love her!

I was also very afraid for Matilde. That thug was scary and cruel. He hit her so hard. I am worried for her safety in that locale.

Carlos' mother is cold...so very cold. His father is not much better, but I was proud of him for defending the love of his life. We should all be so lucky.

Dr. Carlos, I hope and pray that your daughter's home remains safe. Please keep us posted on your family.

Gracias, Marta!!!

Susanita

Happy 100th Episodio!

Nice work, Marta! While the whole re-cap was spot-on, I agree with the others that your "Fina can't get anyone to stay in her house for more than 2 minutes even by accident", "Chema's bad day has only begun" and "not a threat" are classics! You must sit there by yourself and laugh as you type these up.

As being in the I Heart Chema club, I really had a hard time watching his Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Didn't our Carlos say that Telenovela Induced Childhood Leukemia has a survival rate of 90%? Carlos, do we have a survival rate for Hunks with Brain Cancer? I agree with those of you who can see Adri and Coni both at his bedside, but I can also see Honorio there, too, especially if Adri admits her feelings for Chema. Maybe they'll even move Chema into Con and Hon's house. Are there enough bedrooms for Adri in her wheelchair, Chema in his sick bed, Matias with his 2 boring Hit N Run friends, and Renata shell-shocked back from Ensenada? Coni will re-think crying over not having a child.

Does anyone (our expert Vivi?) know how Regina and Jero got to be such good friends?

Rosemary la Otra

Oh.... I also wanted to add my best wishes to your daughter, Carlos. Please keep us posted. How close are the fires to her house?
RLO

Jero's family (father?) always donated to Gina's charity so Jero and Gina got to know each other early on since Gina started her 'hope for Regina' charity. So once Jero took over the donations from his family he kept the friendship going.. i am sure he sees her as sort of an older sister.

Carlos, I join in on the prayers for your daughter's well being and all your family.

Wowsers! I just saw that we are at Capitulo 100! Thanks for the reminder, RLO!!

I don't want it to end! Say it isn't so!

Susanita

Thanks for clearing that up, Marta. Little does he know she is also his ex (maybe future) mother-in-law! I am going to parrot what Guera said today and also declare that I love this show!

RLO

Marta, thanks for another great recap. I rarely comment anymore because I have seen the entire TN and I don't want to accidentially spoil it for anyone. But, I do read the recap and appreciate them all along with the comments.

OT: Dr. Carlos: Good luck with your daughter and her angst about the fires. We are about 45-50 miles SE of Magnolia and this morning the entire city smells like smoke. The pool even has ash. If you need to take your mind off of things, read the article about Ken Starr/A&M in today's online Chronicle.

Rosemary

the smoke is coming close to Sugarland Tx over here, i work in sugarland, live in north richmond... and its first time i smell the familiar scent since i used to go camping many moons ago.

It is so hard to watch the fires & smoke down your way Carlos & Rosemary & Martaivett. I only waish we could send you some of this rain which has us washing away in the northeast. Actually we in Syracuse are missing the brunt of it but all around us are communities which are being evacuated. If only our water could put out your fires

I hope all goes well with your daughter, Carlos.

Oh man. So many on this blog close to the fires, and the hurricane a couple of weeks ago. Everyone please take care and keep checking in with us.

Rosemary #1 - I can see why you wouldn't want to comment given you could slip, but may I give you a call? j/k So, if you read the Houston Chronicle, are you anywhere near Klein Forest? My daughter's sweet bf played high school basketball there and he is up here now playing for the University of Utah.

Rosemary la Otra

Fantastic as always, Marta. Love those short crisp paragraphs. Did you ever write for a newspaper? Anyway, makes it very easy to read.

And Chema's bad day...oh my. Though I'd say Matilde's was even worse. Glad though that nothing worse than a robbery and a fierce bofetada happened to our feisty little gal.

Prayers for you all, Carlos' daughter, Rosemary, Marta and everyone in Texas...that the fires will be out soon and the damage contained.

It was so nice to read a recap the day after watching. It's easier on the memory cells. Love the Fina/house/alone/accident quip.

Cap'n Sylvia--I so agree--this tn never ceases to please. So glad Sele actually told Jero who the baby daddy was in this episode and not the next. She might have had an accident a la Adri or a heart attack a la Cata before she could get it out. (P.S., Guera--I wrote this before I read your comment.)

Those two slime balls, Auggie and Bertie deserve each other. Too bad Auggie is so hung up on Nata. He should realize that he WILL get bored with her in no time--especially if no nookie comes with the cookie.

Auggie's no one-woman man, that's for sure and neither is Bertie a one-man woman--although to her credit (?) she's a serial user.

Can't wait to see Bertie deny, deny, deny that she and Auggie are rolling in the cama--she does it so convincingly.

I sure hope Lazaro remembers his old homestead and checks on it soon. He should know Mati has no real resources to live on for very long, so she can't exactly check into the nearest Hilton Express. (P.S. Marta--I wrote this before reading your comment.) It looks like many of us are on the same track.

Jero's information from Sele should help Matias get out of his 10-year sentence. Matias can also legally go to Dr. Tatas, since technically he's still married to Bertie to averiguar how far along Bertie was. Unfortunately, that will take the wind out of his hate-Jero campaign.

Had to laugh at RLA's picture of Connie's house turning into a rehabilitation center.

Carlos--You have Fire and we have Rain. Hmmm. is there a song in there somewhere? Seriously, I wish we had the ability and resources to stamp out those fires for your family and the hundreds who have lost their homes and everything in them.
NOK

OT: Rosemary La Otra, no I am no where near Klein Forest. Dr. Carlos is probably the closest. I am closer to downtown Houston, about 5 miles west.

Marta, I didn't know that you were so close to Houston. That makes three of us that I know of.

Rosemary #1

My schedule is showing no show on tonight. Boo! Instead, it's the presidential address.

Vivi: Say it isn't so!!!! Not that the President shouldn't have this time on the telly, but I don't want to miss my CME. "Teresa" is so upsetting now that I am focusing on CME. I love that Silvia Navarro...what an actriz!!

Susanita

Oh Noes!!! Vivi can't watch tonight's CME? I just checked and it is scheduled to air on the west coast as scheduled. Likely because the presidential address is airing right now for us!

NOK, "no nookie for the cookie", LOL!!!!!

Que?! They're going to show it on the West Coast but no the East (and I guess Central)? Say it aint so!

Can they do that? Could it be re-aired at another time, say later tonight?

It's not showing in Utah either! SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RLO

My west coast schedule shows that it won't be on tonight. It says El Gordo y La Flaca is on at 7, followed by Teresa and eFdD.

Thank goodness it's Sylvia's re-cap night! No pressure, Sylvia.... just everyone northeast of Ensenada will be devouring your details.

Hmmm...I guess I will just have to wait until 7:00 to find out the truth. If CME is preempted elsewhere it should be preempted here too. It's not fair to deny some of us and not all of us.

Rosemary La O, I will be standing by to see if it airs here and will keep y'all posted!

AIIIEEEE! I just rewound my tape and there was the presidential speech which I had just finished watching while I presumed my CME was recording and waiting for me for later. I don't want to deny the rest of the country their CME tonight -- but if it's not preempted everywhere is there some way to catch us up over here in the soggy east.?

If not we'll be counting on your snappy recap tonight Sylvia.

Güera

Uh oh, regardless of what my lineup says, I just saw an add for El Gordo y La Flaca AT 7:00!!! And Cuando Me Enamoro MANANA!!!! Crap. I am going out of town early tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday, sniff sniff.

I wonder if my cousins up in the mountains get Univision?

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Hey, Marta, many thanks - a nice straightforward recap!

Now it's obvious why Monterrubio manor was painted in drab colors and lit for more shadows than light. A perfect Fortress of Solitude for Darth Fina.

Re Roberta's taking liberties w/ Agustin's cuerpo... her behavior would, if done by a guy, result in jail time or career death. So, yeah, hands to yourself, lady, or else get a masseuse license.

Speaking of spare girls, is anyone else missing Areli?

More and more I'm liking Jero and Marina, if for no other reason than Jero and Renata have poisoned each other's wells to the point that there is no point in reconciling.

Thought I saw "Viernes" as the day of the next episode. Now we know why. I love the camera pans in a presidential address. My home state senator McConnell looked as though he may be dealing w/ end stage hemorrhoids. Alas.

Speakin' o' which, Carlos, I thought aneurysms (in reality) were asymptomatic till they ruptured.

Somehow I'm not a Chema fan, though the pairing of him and Adriana and Matias & Julieta would be interesting. Imagine Honorio's reaction to his little girl taking up w/ a guy who almost made him a cuckold.

Best wishes and crossed fingers to all the Texas Crew here re the wildfires, especially to Carlos' daughter. We've been putting up w/ smoke stink blowing up from the Dismal Swamp fire off and on for several weeks. Been one heck of a couple of months, hasn't it?

Just went to Justintv and they are showing El Gordo y la Flaca on Univision Pacifico. RATS!!

Susanita

Mike: From hemorrhoids to aneurysms. Very good segue, my friend...VERY GOOD!!

Susanita

Hi Mike,

Sometimes aneurysms will leak a bit for several days before rupturing resulting in headache or other neurological symptoms.

It is a ER Dr.'s nightmare to have someone come to his ER with a severe headache and even have a normal looking CT only to return later, or worse, show up in another ER with a massive sub-arachnoid hemorrhage. But as I said, ordinarily my money would be on a brain tumor. In any event, doesn't look good for Chema.

Things here aren't looking so good either tonight. The fires have spread... we are anxiously awaiting the news at 10:00.

Carlos

Oh Carlos, I'm so sorry to hear that the fires are spreading. Texas has had a tough summer what with the droughts and now the fires. It is a real state of emergency. My heart goes out to everyone who is affected and most certainly to our Caray Caray friends who are exposed to this catastrophe.

Dr. Carlos: This is very anxiety provoking to hear that the fires are spreading.

Please, please know that I am thinking of you and yours. We will all be waiting to hear how all of our Texas friends are doing.

This has to be the worst summer of your lives.

I am thinking of all of you.

Susanita

Texas Crew, please post an update when you have a chance. The rest of us are sending thoughts and prayers your way.

Like Mike, I am anxious to hear from our Texas crew. MSNBC this morning shows the fires to be spreading.

Please let us hear from you!

Susanita

Ditto Mike: "sending thoughts and prayers your way".
So pushed anymore that I can not respond on the blog but please know 'I am with you always'- through print and read on the train. ;-)
Special thanks to the Commenters for posting the words right out of my mouth!

Thanks everyone.

Sorry for the delay in posting an update but we are waiting to hear the status of my daughter's home. Not much on the news here either. The fires were spreading again last night but we hear that they are coming under better control this morning.

They were very close to her home as of last night, however.

Carlos

Another gray day in the Wash Met Area--rain continues to fall. I think we'll have to swim to the beach this weekend.

What does it say about me--I fell asleep during the Presidential Speech, but never do during CME. The Teresa theme woke me up. While I prefer the unadulterated speech, I had to catch the highlights on the news.

Glad Carayers everywhere aren't going to miss an episode through no fault of their own.

Carlos--wish we could bag the rain and ship it to Texas. You all deserve some grayness in your lives.
NOK

Mike: "Speaking of spare girls, is anyone else missing Areli?" I am. I really liked her character, especially at the end.

"More and more I'm liking Jero and Marina, if for no other reason than Jero and Renata have poisoned each other's wells to the point that there is no point in reconciling." They certainly have a long road ahead of them to reconcile. Marina noticed the electricity between them--did she also notice he longing looks? I can't remember. However, she went into her relationship with Jero with her eyes open.

"Imagine Honorio's reaction to his little girl taking up w/ a guy who almost made him a cuckold." I hadn't even thought of that!! I still like Chema and Adri as a couple. I've never been fond of Tantrum Boy.

Sending vibes out to the Universe to stop the fires and flooding. Certain areas of the country have been hit pretty hard by Mother Nature this year.

Robey

I have been so outdone with Jero since he refused to believe Renata even when presented with proofs that she wasn't La Bonita that I am in agreement that they have poisoned each other's wells. Who needs someone who yells at you, always believes the worst of you, and never stand up for you? It will be interesting how the writers turn this around.
As I sit here the roofers are nailing on a new roof due to damage from the hurrican two weeks ago. I'd be more bummed about the rotten luck, but definitely Texas has it worse. As long as the people survive, stuff can be replaced. Ojala for a quick end to mother natures furies.

JayGee

JayGee, just curious, where are you located? I'm in Yorktown, VA - Irene made a mess in my backyard and we lost a few trees in the neighborhood. Not as bad as Isabel, but...

At any rate, I agree w/ you. The folks in Texas win the prize for "Most Imperiled".

JayGee--It's not just Jero poisoning their well. Renata refuses to believe Jero when he says he never slept with Berta and that was not his child.

And, I don't blame him for being so exasperated with her for continuing to believe that Auggie is a decent guy and refuses to see any other point of view.

But, as has been pointed out, Jero and Nata do their share of yelling at each other in ways to maximize the hurt. Auggie is at least smart and smooth enough to back down and apologize right away with excuses about protecting and making sure she is safe--ack.

If and when Nata sees what a bad character Auggie really is, I wouldn't put it past Jero to say I told you so to her face.

No wonder Marina is a breath of fresh air for Jero.
NOK

I'm glad you all are safe so far...may things get better quickly! Wishing for rain for Texas and drying out for the east.

We just had an earthquake here a few minutes ago...in fact the building is still swaying a little. Apparently a 6.7 centered near Campbell River, so not too strong here, but I still haven't seen how much damage there was elsewhere.

Mike, I am south of Richmond, VA, in Chester. This area got it worse than the coast -- my power was out a week, and the internet for 10 days. Thank goodness for Caray, Caray and the recaps. Without CME, well, in addition to everything else, it would have been the last straw! No faltaba más!

NOK: I like that you've given Nata her fair share of the blame for the breakup. I think more of the blame is on Jero, but Nata isn't completely innocent. Her getting engaged to Auggie almost immediately, I think, is more of a snipe at Jero than anything else--even if only subconsciously. And then Jero has to turn around and immediately hookup with Marina. So that kinda blew up in her face.

NOK,
you mean 'Fire and rain' by james taylor?
i've seen fire and i've seen rain
i've seen sunny days that i thought would never end
i've seen lonely times when i could not find a friend
but i've always thought that i'd see you one more time again
or stte.

JayGee, yeah, you all did get smacked worse than we did. Our younger son lives in Midlothian - he lost power during the storm on Saturday and stayed in cold shower mode till late Thursday night. And we still have 2 1/2 months more of hurricane season.

Guess we can't complain too much about a little power outage, even if it did make me miss seeing Selene's revelation to Jero. Hope you all in TX are ok.

Sincerely,

San Diego
