Teresa Wed 9/7/11 #133 Mariano Finally Gets the Girl and Other Stuff Happens Too

REPRISE
SLAP!!! REEEAAAEEERRR!!! PFFFTT!! HISSSS!! MMRROWWWRRR!!! FFFTT!!! FFFTT!!! WAK!!! WAK!!!

KER-SPATTT!!! RREEEAAEEERR!!! @#&!! %@3$&!!! RREEEAAAEERR!!!! WUMP!! TSSSSSSS!!! RAAROW!!! RAAAAROWWW!!!

For those that don’t read Cat-Fight, Teresa slapped Lucia after catching her sketching her husband and thinks she has “the hots” for Arturo. (I know a few Caray, Caray ladies guilty of that.) Teresa tells her to get the hell out, as she puffs up her fur, hisses, snarls, and scratches. She drags the chica by the scruff of her neck and throws her out, whacks her with her purse, and warns her she’s telling Luisa!

Teresa cat-struts back into the library and picks up Lucia’s drawing of Arturo. She purrs under her breath that Arturo is HERS, and that “tipa” is not going to get him.

ZACATECAS
Mariano and Aurora have stumbled upon Juana with Duffberto, who awkwardly sputters news of the wedding to Aurora.

Juana has a heart-to-heart talk with Aurora. Juana tells her she ended her relationship with her dad (Hector) before coming out to Zacatecas. She explains her situation was similar to Aurora’s situation with Martin. Juana is sad because by choosing Doltberto, she may lose Aurora. She loves Aurora like a daughter and asks her forgiveness for the pain she is causing her dad.

Aurora says, “So you’re marrying Dungberto?”

“Yes”, Juana confirms.

HOSPITAL – INCUBATOR ROOM
Ruben is cooing over baby Rodrigo, and says he always wanted a son, and a son of the only woman who he really loved in his life. Esperanza is annoyed. Ruben continues to agitate Esperanza. He says his divorce to Mayra made him realize he never really loved her. Esperanza may not believe him, but he says he loves her. GAK!!

GUIJARRO-BARRERA HOME
As Arturo walks in to tell Teresa his client in Germany loved the designs proposed by Lucia, Teresa tells him she fired the chick. Arturo is aghast; he told Teresa the project is important, Lucia’s work is needed, and her jealousy is absurd. Teresa rebuffs by angrily showing Arturo the sketch of him that Lucia drew.

HOSPITAL – INCUBATOR ROOM
Ruben continues to make unwanted advances on Esperanza. He says he knows if he touches Esperanza, she will re-live the moments they spent together; that his body and hers are meant for each other, as he creepily gets closer to her. Esperanza warns him to stay away. The sick bastard says when she’s with that doctor, think of him in her.

Thankfully Hernan barges in, and Esperanza tells him in the future she doesn’t want to be left alone with Ruben. Ruben barks, “You mean you can’t bear having the temptation of me around, I know you still love and long for me.”

Hernan charges after Ruben and just as the fisticuffs are about to start, Ruben says to back off and not have a scuffle there, for the sake of his son.

GUIJARRO-BARRERA HOME
Teresa asks Arturo if he was posing for Lucia’s drawing. He says of course not. Teresa says she’s not so sure, as Arturo has changed a lot, e.g. his drunkenness. Arturo says anyone who hears her now would think her life with him is hell. Teresa angrily replies it’s not been a bed of roses. Raising her voice she yells that when he drinks, he insults her and takes out all his money problems on her, and to top it off, she has to PUT UP WITH LUCIA’S FLIRTING!!!

Arturo swears Lucia doesn’t mean anything to him and Teresa was wrong in firing her. Teresa begins to storm out of the house, screaming that she’s going to tell Luisa to never speak with Lucia again. Arturo tells her she’s acting like a little girl.

As Teresa storms out of the house, she crashes into Luisa who’s walking in with shopping bags. She yells at Luisa that she CAN’T STAND ALL THE CRAP that she has to take from her brother!!

HOSPITAL – INCUBATOR ROOM
Ruben says he’s sorry they don’t like his presence, but they better get used to it because he’s going to be back often to check on his son, as he slithers out.

When Hernan walked in, she and Ruben were sitting close together, and he doesn’t want to start imagining things, so she should tell him when Ruben comes around. Esperanza says Ruben just wants to harm their relationship and they should ignore him.

GUIJARRO-BARRERA HOME
Arturo wants to chase after Teresa, but Luisa convinced him it’s not a good time for that now; let her cool down. Luisa asks what happened. Arturo explains Teresa’s jealous tirade, sparked by Lucia’s drawing of Arturo. Luisa feels bad, as she asked Lucia to make that portrait, and planned to have one made of Teresa, so each would have a portrait of the other to remember how much they love each other.

OUTSIDE GATES
Teresa storms down the sidewalk, reminiscent of Fred Flintstone stomping around with angry tuba music playing in the background. She spots her new favorite pushover (Fernando) driving up and signals for him to stop. She asks him to get her out of there and they take off.

ZACATECAS – CAFÉ
Aurora tells Mariano that when she saw Juana and Chumpberto together, she knew they were meant for one another. She is sure that her dad is very upset and wants to return to talk with him. Mariano agrees to hold down the fort and handle business matters while she is away.

CACERES HOME
Aida is venting to Oriana that that rrrrrrrata de la vecindad got money to buy Geno’s, Ruben’s, and Aida’s shares of the Turquoise Moon condos. Oriana says the news gets worse – her son Fernando put up the money to help them do it. Oriana says not to worry, she’ll pay above the value for the shares, but what has her worried is she’s not sure if Fernando did this to help Arturo or the arribista Teresa. Aida knows Teresa and says it’s likely Teresa coaxed Fernando for help. Oriana is concerned.

PARK
Teresa and Fernando went out for ice cream cones and are taking a stroll through a park. Fernando wants to know what’s going on and Teresa tells him she learned something terrible: Arturo is cheating on her with Lucia. Fernando is stunned (and gullible).

Teresa says Luisa must have known something about it too; after all, Luisa is friends with Lucia. She now feels both Luisa and Arturo have betrayed her. Teresa moves closer to Fernando. She says she’s resisted her feelings for him, but now, nothing matters, as she moves in for a kiss. Since Fernando’s little appendage is doing all the thinking for him, he goes along with it.

While Teresa is in lip-lock with Fernando, Arturo calls. Teresa ignores her cell phone. Arturo leaves a message explaining the mix up with the portrait.

Teresa continues to play Fernando. As she ignores her cell, she sexily whispers that she’s not going to consider Arturo, but instead do what they really desire, and that is to be with Fernando, while she gives a sarcastic “oh, brother” look. That chick is a real pro. She’d fit right in at certain places in Carson City, Nevada.

GENO’s HOME
Geno is justifying her vengeance of Teresa to Mayra, blaming Ruben’s affair and his fraud on Teresa, which she says really wasn’t fraud.

Mayra corrects her: Esperanza may be Teresa’s friend, but Ruben could have rejected her. Teresa didn’t rob her – Ruben did and the money wasn’t just “missing”, it was fraud. She warns Geno to be careful and not let Ruben do the same to her.

PARK
Things are really steamy now as Fernando is anxious to get something straight between them. (I never get tired of that old joke.) Fernando gets a call from Luisa, and following the evil chica’s lead, which men should never do, he ignores the phone and continues making out with Teresa. Fernando tells her he likes her very much. Teresa tells him they are made for each other; she has his blood inside her.

As Fernando is really getting into it, our Ph.D. in C***Teasing pulls away and says she can’t continue. Fernando says “What are you talking about Teresa, we both feel the same?” Manslation: But I’ve fulfilled my foreplay requirement! She says she cannot “be with” Fernando before she is divorced.

Fernando’s little appendage asks Teresa if she’s really going to get a divorce. The evil chica explains that her marriage to Arturo is hopeless. Although she and Fernando’s little appendage share a special affection, she knows he’s going to marry Luisa. Regardless of that, Teresa intends to get a divorce; she knows her value and her place. Well, she says, let’s eat! Being a slut works up her appetite. She trots off with Fernando in tow, although he can’t walk too well due to a male affliction known as “cojones de azul”. That’s the technical term.

GENO’S WEB OF HORROR
Geno gives Ruben the 3rd degree about why he’s been at the hospital all day. She’s suspicious that he’s there to schmooze with that gata Esperanza. Ruben says of course not, sweet talks her with some bullcorn from The Official Man’s Book of Tricks and Other B.S., and tells her “Paulo’s” condition is improving. The bullcorn seems to work, for now.

FANCY TENNIS CLUB
Lucia apologizes to Luisa for the big mess with Teresa. Lucia tells her that Teresa is quite the aggressive bitch. Luisa says Teresa just loves Arturo and it’s normal to act that way. Lucia says au contraire mon frère it is not normal. Lucia says she wants to talk about it with them face-to-mujerzuela.

CHAVES HOME
It’s nighttime and Arturo is out hunting for his lost gata. He stops by the Chaves house and Armando tells him he hasn’t seen her. He asks, “You mean she didn’t tell you where she was going? Are you having problems again?” Arturo says “No, we’re fine” and leaves. Armando is concerned.

GENO’s MUDHOLE
Geno and Ruben are sitting around shooting the bull about how great it’s going to be to screw over Arturo and Teresa. Aida screeches in and tells them to forget it, and explains that they came up with money from Fernando to buy them out.

PENTHOUSE
That night, Arturo walks in calling for Teresa; she’s not there. Teresa eventually slinks in after a long day of c***teasing. She tells Arturo they seriously need to talk.

GUIJARRO-BARRERA HOME
Fernando has regained movement and walks in as Luisa is coming down the stairs. She calmly asks him where he’s been, and he angrily erupts “WHAT, you’re starting to be like my mother, trying to control me??!!” Luisa is stunned.

Fernando apologizes and attributes his rage to pressures from work and issues with his inheritance. Luisa knows Fernando’s womanizing stage is over (ACK!) so when she asks where he was, it’s just because she cares. Fernando says he’s a fool and she’s an angel. Luisa says, “No, I’m just a woman who loves you so much that I could not live without you.” Feeling bad yet Fernando?

Luisa explains she caused the mix up with Lucia’s portrait and her purpose behind it; to strengthen their relationship. Fernando thinks Art’s and Tere’s relationship can’t be saved and that they will end up divorced. He says there are things he can’t tell her because Arturo is his friend, but he has done some bad things and Teresa has endured much. He and Luisa can’t blame them if they get divorced.

PENTHOUSE
Arturo explains the mix up with the portrait and says Lucia is innocent. Teresa bitches about Lucia liking Arturo, but Art insists he has no interest and they really need Lucia working on the [Germany] project. Arturo reminds Teresa that she wants to improve their economic condition; so she shouldn’t be capricious (caprichosa - new word for me). Arturo wants her to apologize to Lucia. Good luck with that.

ZACATECAS
Churlberto chases down Aurora and hopes everything is cool between them. Aurora, being her sexy awesome self, is gracious and wishes Cheezeberto and Juana happiness, although she’s sad that in this case, her dad is losing out.

The scene cuts to Hector at the hospital lamenting over a picture of he and Juana in better times. He reminisces about his lost love and looks to almost be in tears. Poor Hector. Love definitely hurts man; I recommend a large glass of scotch, followed by a larger glass of scotch, and the VIP room at a certain caberet I’ve “only heard of”.

PENTHOUSE
The next morning Arturo finally convinces a very reluctant Teresa to apologize, although she feels this is a humiliation for her.

Armando is at the door and he says it is obvious things are not going well between Art and Teresa. Teresa asks him not to interfere and let them fix their problems. Armando tells Arturo he is resigning and if there are further problems between Art and Tere, the little shark should move back home with her parents in the vecindad! Teresa and Arturo both look at Armando like he’s one taco short of a fiesta platter.

GUIJARRO-BARRERA HOME
Luisa thanks Fernando for helping Arturo with the Turquoise Moon situation. After she leaves, Oriana wants to know what the frill is wrong with Fernando. He bluffs that he’s nervous about the wedding and inheritance. Oriana is concerned that Fernando is not attentive to wedding matters and he needs to choose... what he’s going to prioritize, but it almost seemed like she was going to say he needed to choose between Luisa and Teresa.

LIBRARY / OFFICE
Lucia says Teresa wouldn’t even listen to her and slapped her. Arturo is surprised; he didn’t know about the slap. He apologizes and asks her to continue working with him. Lucia says it’s Teresa that needs to offer an apology. Art says Teresa is here to do just that, offer an apology.

Teresa pops out from behind the curtains like a Shark-in-the-Box.

Teresa acts like a seventh-grader and offers a non-apology apology to Lucia while emphatically asking her again if she wants Arturo. Lucia says “No”, and doesn’t need the angst of working there. Arturo again pleads with her to stay and says he’ll talk with his arribista – er, his wife. Lucia agrees to stay for the Germany project only, after which, her boobs and butt are out of there.

ZACATECAS
Fuzzberto and Juana call the vecindad gang and talk about them hopefully joining them on their wedding day. FF>>

HOSPITAL
Hector is greeted by Aurora and she tells him that Juana went to Zacatecas to marry Oafberto. They talk about lost love and other mushy stuff, and decide that Aurora should return to Zacatecas to help with the clinics and to tell Juana to be happy.

ZACATECAS
Juana and Phlegmberto are shopping for wedding dresses and other horrifying girly stuff. Ugh FF>>

PATTY’S PLACE
Johnny and Patty are excited that their curmudgeon Gramps left them a note saying he hired a nurse to take care of him, so they can go to Zacatecas for a pseudo-honeymoon. I wonder if anyone has had “the talk” with Johnny.

LIBRARY / OFFICE
The next day, the RRRRata Pack (thanks for that one Jardinera) Ruben, Geno, and Aida, are there to discuss Turquoise Moon with Fernando, Arturo, Teresa, and a Notary. Ruben makes a snide remark about Fernando having to be there because without money, Arturo couldn’t buy anything.

Arturo says fortunately, he has friends that are loyal and true. Geno says the whole thing is an outrage, Arturo should sell. Arturo says nothing doing – the RRRRRata Pack’s intention was to hurt him and Teresa.

Teresa says Notary Almanza certifies that Arturo bought the rest of the Turquoise Moon shares. Then she glares at Aida, leans over to hand her a pen, and smugly asks her to review/sign the damn documents.

ZACATECAS
Mariano is excited to see Aurora has returned to Zacatecas and gets kissy-kissy. Aurora says not so fast. The best she can do is have Mariano be her date at Juana’s and Tootberto’s wedding.

LIBRARY / OFFICE
Arturo and Teresa thank Fernando for his help with the Turquoise Moon deal. Teresa and Fernando share a hug practically in front of Arturo (the poor clown) that is wrought with “wink-wink nudge-nudge say-no-more” innuendo.

ZACATECAS
Aurora and Mariano go for a stroll and share romantic banter. They reach a beautiful view of the city and Mariano says, “Aurora, on one occasion I stole a kiss and only got you in trouble.” Aurora says, “Ah yes, I remember it well.”

Mariano softly says, “Well, do not worry, because I will not do that anymore, I now wait patiently for you to give it to me, because with that kiss, you will be agreeing that we are boyfriend/girlfriend (novios).

Aurora asks, “And how long do I have to decide?” Mariano says, “All my life, I am willing to wait forever. And your time starts now...” As he starts to count the seconds, he makes it to eleven, when Aurora’s resistance melts, and they share a passionate kiss.

And now you know what happened in episode 133...

Sharkbyte!!!! Where do I begin!!!

For starters, Teresa stomping out like Fred Flintstone! I could not stop laughing as the sound of the tuba was in my brain!!

The stills you provided are super and add so much to your excellent recap. I'll get back to some of my fave comments in a minute.

It was hard for me to watch this capitulo last night. Teresa and her antics are getting ( for me) simply harder to watch. Sharkbyte, you caught the perfect 'rolls her eyes pose' with that jaunt in the park scene. Teresa amazes me with how quickly she comes up with ways to manipulate and scheme, but I found myself thinking of dear Luisa who genuinely loves No Neck Fer.

Perhaps I was over reading some of the action in that Park Scene, but when Teresa told Fer that she would divorce so that they could be together...didn't it seem to you that there was a tell all moment of silence from Fer? Fer wants his cake and wants to eat it, too. Luisa will be his steadfast friend/lover for life, but Teresa will provide him with an all time high that only Fer could dream about.

Is Teresa fooling herself into thinking that Fer really 'cares' or 'loves' her? I honestly don't know, but I think Fer just wants to hit a home run out of the ball park and then it would be all over.

I honestly thought Fer was going to crouch over in pain for all of the teasing Teresa was doing.

Her treatment of Lucia was no better, but Lucia did not exactly let her get away with her non-apology, either. Good for Lucia.

I literally felt Rubigote's slime oozing from the telly. He is such disgusting filth; disgusting.

I am also not clear on Mayra and Geno. Mayra caught Rubigote and Geno together, yet, she seems to be able to be quite civil to her. I assume that Mayra has also made her peace with Geno, but I just don't remember seeing that scene. Did it happen several capitulos ago?

Aurora and Mariano are now officially together. What a quiet moment when compared to the tempest created by Teresa and Fer.

I don't think I've ever seen such a lovely smile on Mariano's/Aaron's face as I did last night when Aurora made the move to kiss him. What a lovely scene!

Teresa reminds me of someone who is losing control. Every now and then, I see little chinks in her armour...not huge...but little chinks.

...and Armando...my word...

Gracias, Sharkbyte!!!!

Susanita

Sharkbyte, another winner, thank you so much. And thanks for all of the wonderful screen shots.

My favorite part of your recaps are all of the variations of the "Cutberto" name. I have a list and so far I have 44 names.

I have become really bored with this circus so I only half listen but I always read the recaps. Thanks to all.

Rosemary

Thanks for the great recap. "A few tacos short of a fiesta platter," indeed.

I laughed out loud when Johnny was reading Gramps' letter aloud in Gramps' voice. That was the first time I've ever really liked him.

Susanita - WRT Fer, one thing I noticed is when Teresa mentioned that he was going to marry Luisa, he didn't hesitate to say yes.

If Teresa is planning to make him call off his wedding, I don't think he's there yet. He may be thinking that Luisa will be his wife and Teresa will be his girlfriend, if you know what I mean.

Perhaps I was over reading some of the action in that Park Scene, but when Teresa told Fer that she would divorce so that they could be together...didn't it seem to you that there was a tell all moment of silence from Fer?

Susanita I saw that silence and I agree. I interpreted it as stunned silence, like Fer was impacted by the gravity of what Teresa was saying.

I got the feeling Fer is not yet far enough along to see a future with Teresa. Pardon my French, but I think Fer just wants a piece; Fer is a chicken-hawk that truly thinks mostly with his little-appendage.

I think Teresa's motives with Fer are to irritate Oriana, and to use Fer for her immediate and long term financial gain.

Sharkbyte: Ah yes...good point re Fer answering immediately that he was going to marry Luisa. I'm glad you noticed that silence from Fer, too. The silence spoke volumes about what was possibly going on in his upper brain. The silence might have also stopped his lower brain dead in its tracks. :))

I still think that there is much more to happen with this inheritance business of Fer's...much more.

Thank you, dear Sharkbyte!

Susanita

Bravo Sharkbyte!

I too think it's very telling that Fernando has never mentioned love or falling in love to Teresa. And that pause when she mentioned divorce, showed he is not on the same page. He wants to get into her panties, pure and simple. He loves Luisa and wants her for his wife. He wants Teresa for a fling. I hope she knows that, because the other day she was acting like she thinks she can jump into Luisa's shoes (and wedding dress) if she so chooses. Fer is not Art or Mariano, who both loved her. He can only be manipulated so far with the implied promise of sampling the goods.

I don't understand Teresa's mindset toward Arturo. Others may have commented on this, so I apologize if I'm re-hashing a previous discussion.

This episode was a classic example of how one minute she clenches her teeth and swears that the "tipa" can't have her man - Arturo is hers, - and yet the rest of the day she acts like she wants a divorce. Crazy gata.

Sharkbyte, another funny, engaging recap. Loved your Cat-Fight translation, and especially, “Teresa tells her to get the hell out, as she puffs up her fur, hisses, snarls, and scratches.” Just perfect!

Yes, yes, yes, I’m in agreement on the inheritance business. There have been issues all along. If I remember correctly, the reason Fernando entered the novela action later was that he was dealing with inheritance problems in Spain. I just wonder if Oriana would be so mean as step between her son and his money? She certainly has her nose in gear like a blood hound sniffing around for problems between Luisa and Fernando. I wouldn’t put it past her to throw a monkey wrench into the proceedings.

The ending of Teresa is going to be quite a doozy. Surely Martin, Hector and Lucia won’t be left on the table without novios en el fin! I guess can now count on Mariano and Aurora, Johnny and Paty and Juana and ---- burto, everyone else is too crazy to deserve a grand boda or second luna de miel.

Hysterically funny as usual, Sharkbyte. I think my favorite bit was "shark-in-a-box."

Juana, Queen of Couture, is going to wear some off-the-rack dress for her own wedding? Sheesh, they must really be in a hurry. I like the change of scenery and getting everyone to Zacatecas, though. Lovely town.

Yay, Aurora and Mariano are finally together. Mariano did look great smiling; happiness really suits him. From the previews it looks like Teresa is still convinced she's got him on the line, but is she ever in for some disappointment (please don't make me furious, writers). I don't see how he could possibly see any appeal in going back to Teresa now that he has a functional, healthy, mutually loving relationship with someone who shares his values and has never hurt him for comparison.

Sharkbyte,
Wonderful recap as always.

I totally agree that Fern is only after Ter as a "side piece". He has never contemplated NOT marrying Luisa, he just wants some Ter action.
And come to think of it, Fer may be the one guy Ter can't manipulate with the " holding out on" because he does not love her like Mar, Paulo, & Arturo.
Fer is going to figure this out real quick and Ter may be left with nothing. She will over step herself, divorce Art, run to Fer, and him telling her " What? I thought we were only playing around. I'm marrying Luisa. I don't love you."

Since I love Teresa, I hope Fer puts her in her "side piece" place BEFORE she does something drastic with Arturo. Because like Rhett was meant for Scarlett, Arturo is meant for Teresa. ( who else could have made her apologize to a gata she just slapped and threw out of the house?) Arturo
did.

Thanks again Sharkbyte. Loved all your editorial comments especially "getting something straight between them" jajajajajaja

Loved the recap and snark Sharkbyte. The yuck factor was high in this episode. Teresa can only tease Fernando for only so long. Meanwhile, she's putting all the pieces in place to divorce Arturo and look like the victim of his drunken violence. The scene in the woods with Fernando made me want to take a shower for all the slime. Teresa and Fernando were like two dogs in heat. I feel so bad for Luisa. Teresa is making Arturo look like the bad guy like she did with Mariano.

Ruben was also slimy with what he said to Esp in the incubator room. Ugh.

I'm starting to see that Lucia is not a pushover and she may just step to Teresa the next time she tries to put her hands on her.

Mariano and Aurora were the only bright moments in an otherwise gloomy episode.

Ruben was also slimy with what he said to Esp in the incubator room. Ugh.

I could not agree more, Pirate Babe. This episode had some truly gross Ruben-moments that were hard for me to recap without getting sick.

Ay, Sharkbyte, mi amigo. What a great recap. Faves: the names you come up with for Chumpberto; Flinstone reference, Fer's little appendage. JAJA!

Yay! Mariano and Aurora together for-ev-er! I'm embarassed to admit I was smiling at the tele during their scenes. I must say Mariano/Aaron was particularly smoldering in this episode. He's grown so much from when he was after Teresa. There's a maturity here that wasn't present back then. He's confident he's won Aurora but he's not in a rush. Sigh.

Then there's Ruben -- what a perro! When he was coming on to Espe? EEEEEEEWWW! I had to look away. ACK.

Speaking of perros, Teresa and Fernando are beyond belief! I was hoping someone was watching them. I agree with everyone here that he really hasn't committed himself to anything beyond getting some action. But Teresa keeps stringing him along by holding back. I hope she succeeds in ruining the wedding but only because Luisa doesn't deserve to be hitched up to such a low-life. ugh. uh-huh these two are going to pay!

Mariano and Aurora are very cute together. And yes, Zacatecas is a very beautiful town. Actually it's one of Jose Alberto Castro's (the producer of this TN) favourite places in Mexico, that's why he chose it for the wedding.

I hope Juana makes a good choice of a wedding dress.

I'm not sure Fernando wouldn't leave Luisa for Teresa even if what he wants is just sex... I mean this guy is a REALLY BIG JERK who doesn't THINK (not with his head anyway). Teresa can manipulate him really well.

And speaking of Teresa, I think she should leave her current career to get a job as a professional prostitute. Seriously. She's really good at it. The scenes in the woods were simply disgusting.

Sharkebyte-

Teresa is just like Ruben. When they've pissed on something, or someone, they believe it/they belong to them-- forever. In fact, the more times they've pissed on that person, the more they believe that person belongs to them. Ruben with Mayra and Espe. Teresa with Mariano and Arturo.

Vivi - excellent observation re: Teresa being like Ruben and their yucky animal-like possessiveness. ITA.

About Mayra and Geno-- It seems that Mayra just doesn't give a damn anymore what Ruben does, or with whom. She slapped Geno around for the betrayal, and I don't think she considers Geno her BFF anymore. It's Geno who's always coming over to Mayra's house. Geno can have Ruben, for all Mayra cares. But she did warn her last night to be careful that Ruben doesn't cheat on her and cheat her out of money like he did to her. And if/once that baby is stolen, I think it's Mayra, with her phone picture, who will bring them both down and reunite Espe with her baby.

I have been to Zacatecas, it is just beautiful. It has a fabulous hotel that is a converted bull ring.
Quinta Real
It has a couple small plazas, not one really big one like other Mexican cities. The architecture is wonderful, and of course the people are outstanding!

Luisa is the best thing that has ever happened to Fernando and he knows it. I think changing an "international playboy" into a family man is a tough, tough conversion. I'm not, nor ever have been, woman enough for that job.

This is silly, but I was surprised at the small size of the ice cream cones. Obviously, they don't supersize things in Mexico, or perhaps they had been walking with them for awhile. Also, I actually saw a great wedding dress in the shop window. Our formerly confused, now delighted Juana will look great at her boda! I'm glad she realizes that she will be the bread winner, she is going into the marriage with open eyes!

At least when Teresa is over, we won't have to watch people scratch their heads any more...... I hope!

Sharkbyte...just great!!! Loved the photos and all the smart remarks.

Teresa, Teresa...you whore!!! She carries on like she has no real feelings for Art but acted like a tigress with Lucia when she thought she was after him. She wants it all.

From the previews it looks as though Mariano is going to make Teresa realize that maybe she doesn't have Mariano by the b***s!!!

Ann-NYC

Laughed at the cartoon noises in the Cat-Fight and "one taco short of a fiesta platter" was too funny. What world is Armando living in. It's loving that he wants to protect Teresa but he still doesn't really know his daughter... as if she would want to return, ever ever again, to the vencidad in her lifetime. And" shark-in-a-box" was great and it also looked like Let's Make A deal with "what is behind door or curtain number 1"....a not so apologetic Sharkita.

Teresa is racheting up the evil. She was successful in manipulating Fer to buy out the Raaata Pack in the Luna Turquesa deal. And she plans to dump Art since she has set him up as an abuser alcoholic. I assume she's smart enough to make sure she really has Fer first before she lets go of Art in a divorce. Wonder if Fer will dump Luisa because Luisa said those foreboding words "I'm just a woman who loves you so much that I could not live without you." Hope nothing happens to Luisa.

The screencaps are spot-on and thanks for the levity and the great recap, Shaekbyte.

GinCA

* And speaking of Teresa, I think she should leave her current career to get a job as a professional prostitute. Seriously. She's really good at it. The scenes in the woods were simply disgusting. *

So true! I recall a moment in childhood when my grandmother was watching tn's ( or "her shows") in the next room and shouted, "Sucia! Sucia! Suuuuuucia!!!" loud enough for the neighbors to hear. I swear I would've done the same if the kids weren't sleeping. She really is good at leading em on, but everyone is right on - Fer doesn't mistake lust for love. She may break up the wedding in her scheming, but if that happens I don't believe he will ever forgive her or fall for her.

Awesome recap! I laughed the whole way through it. I loved the way you called Fernando on thinking with his little head. It's fun to watch him in angst.

Teresa's "apology" to Lucia was quite possibly the most pathetic excuse for an apology I've ever heard.
