Previously on Cuando (you fill in the blanks)…
Fina goes berserk remembering her phone con with Gonzo.
She tells herself that her plans have to continue. Berta can’t hate her.
Nata is telling Augie off on the phone.. good for u Nata!
Fina arrives at hosp, finds Gon/Gina/Jero/Nata sleeping, mumbles I hate all 4 of you!
Berta kicks out Fina from her hosp room.
Augie alone with his ruined wine containers swears payback from Areli.
Augie strangles Areli when she tells him she was the one that ruined his wine/grapes., When lazaro comes to her rescue Augie takes his exit… She wants Lazaro to stay with her. She tells him it was her that ruined Augie’s grape reserve. Lazaro is impactado.
Gina/Jero talking at hospital… Gina asks Jero if the fact that Nata’s mother was the one that murdered Rafa would be an impediment for him to get back with Nata. He confesses that he can’t deny that the fact that Nata is the daughter of a murderer concerns him. Nata hears this and thinks that always something comes up that separates them… Nata leaves before she can hear Jero tell Gina that despite that, he loves her and, like Matt said, it’s a flame that not even the big blue sea can put out..
At Connie’s, doctor and Hono are in awe of how fast Connie is recuperating. Smiles all around.
At the prison nut house, in doctor’s office, Blanca is teasing him with ‘what I will let you do to me’ (MAJOR BARF!!) Blanca calls Hono again using the phone in the doctor’s office… Hono gets real mad at her. When he hangs up he calls Matt to tell police Manriquez and find out where that phone is.
At Ensenada church Carlos and Mati are waiting for the ‘prenup classes’ from padre Severino but he is a no show… they decide to go look for him.
Padre Severino just got what Marina is guessing is the flu, he will have to stay in bed for a few days.
Areli/Laz and Mati/Carlos are talking to Areli, she asks Carlos if he thinks its ok for her to stay at La Bonita for a while until she leaves town. Carlos sure Jero won’t mind.… They meet up with Padre Seve out in town… he tells they he is sick and will have to postpone his activities (including their wedding). Mati begins to think it is her curse again that is spreading to others.
Augie is having another hissy fit by his ruined grape tanks… yells at Ezeq to leave. He takes it on the poor barrels with a sledgehammer…
Adri/Matt at office. Adri tells Matt she made her decision. Matt guesses wrong and says she is there to tell him she chose Chema. Nope, she chose him but she wants to speak to Chema and tell him personally before she and Matt go public as a couple again. Matt asks her not to play with him, then he says you might want to wait but I don’t … he kisses her and they agree that they will keep their ‘recon’ a secret until she talks to Chema.
Nata prays at chapel… its not easy to feel you are the daughter of a murderer. My mom hurt so many folks… She is nuts/sick. What if I carry the ‘genes’ of ‘crime’? and pass them to my children? (OH PLEEEEEZZZEEE!! SPARE MEEEE!!)
Gonzo visits Berta at her hosp room.. they get mellow (I wonder if these two ever went to a father daughter night at her school…). She is scared, thanks God she has him for a dad. She regrets all the harm she had done. HE is glad she is ok, life gives you 2nd chances … and 3rd… and 4th… and… Berta says she will make good use of this one. She will change.. honest… HE says I hope so.
Nata still at chapel, tells God U know I love Jero more today than ever.. (remembers first stumble at airport, then first kiss outside la mentirosa) For better or worse, it was a great love story. Too bad all the troubles did not let us be happy together.
Gonzo leaves Berta alone and she tells herself she will keep away from her mom, will even change her surname to Gamba (Roberto’s surname), will take off Fina’s surname Alvarez. ‘I hate you’
Gina/Jero talk again, she cares about both Nata and Berta. Wants them to interact as sisters and will provide them a loving environment they never had with Fina. But am afraid of how they will react to the news. (well, one will find out she is NOT the daughter of a murderer … so it might not be so bad after all LOL)
Augie calls Ezeq back and orders him to kill Areli… Eze freezes… Augie senses Ezeq is not quite willing and ready to follow orders. Ezeq hessitates but ends up saying he’ll do it. (I am pretty sure he is lying)
Gonzo comes out of Berta’s room and meets with Gina/Jero… Jero wishes Berta will get well and change for the better with the experience. Gonzo thanks Jero, Jero says only one to blame will pay soon. Gina asks them both to go with her tomorrow to get the DNA test results (Ok, they must have tickets to the Maury Povich show?? Jero, YOU ARE the father! .. oh wait… I got that wrong… Gina, YOU ARE the mother!)
Gina looks visibly nervous, tells Gonzo she wants Berta to come live with her for a while, she will be safe and calm there. They kiss, he is happily shocked… wants more LOL.
Jero calls Nata, she is leaving the hospital curb, he offers to take her to Connie’s but she wants to go alone… thank you for everything… Jero is confused at her new attitude.
At La Bonita Kari watches as Lazaro is serving Areli as if he were her watch dog. Areli tells them (with Mati and Carlos) that Lazaro had saved her before when she was about to jump into oblivion. He is her guardian angel, they say how an animal Augie is, Carlos brings up Alvaro but then freezes at half sentence. Areli tells them Augie would do anything to get what he wants. Kari tells them Augie was kissing Nata when she was drugged when she had the accident. They are all shocked. Mati is mad she never told them before. Mati goes with her hissy fit to the kitchen to tell Manuela about Areli and Lazaro. All about her curse and if she does not marry Carlos she will end up a nun. (ok tantrum cursed girl… go take a hike… maybe some exercise will get you tired of yourself)
Nata visits Adri and tells her ‘I need you my friend’… (so its Nata’s turn for the bad day)
Marina calls Jero, notices he is worried, she asks him to tell her how things are with Nata. Jero tells her he came to tell Nata about her mother being his brother’s murderer. Marina thinks this will widen the abbyss that separates Jero and Nata. Jero stays quiet so she senses something has changed. But Jero won’t tell her over phone. He wants to wait until he returns and then they will talk. Marina is already guessing what he will say…
Fina alone in her hotel room is watching TV.. watches as a news break comes up announcing she is wanted for murdering Rafa Gutierrez. And the whole MR scandal.
I have to hide. (NO KIDDIN!!)
Blanca watches same news cast ‘poor Fina MR’. But then gets a creepy smile/smirk on.
At La Bonita, Areli keeps getting lots of attention. Lazaro says he doubts Augie will dare come get her here. Carlos tells her she is brave. She says she wanted to hurt Augie where he would feel it. Carlos says yup, THAT you did alright (get his attention).
Kari is visiting Alfonsina, she is also mad (a la Mati) about Areli all around Lazaro. Alfonsina says you have to go there and show face, make yourself noticed.
Gonzo/Hono/Matt/Adri at office are celebrating how well it has gone for the company in last few days, thanks to the Jero loan. Gonzo says there is a convention coming up. He can’t get away from Gina and Hono can’t from Connie so they send Matt/Adri to go to the convention to represent the new blood of MR INC. (WOW, Matt !! Whatever you are wearing, make them your lucky tie and shirt, and eat the same breakfast, you are FINALLY getting lucky, man after so many short ends of the stick!)
Once settled at her house, Gina is caring very nicely for Berta. Berta says I never would have believed you would be this nice to me after I treated you so bad. Will u forgive me? Gina says that’s in the past. Berta says her mom never acted like this with her. She wishes she had a mom like Gina.
Nata is leaving Connie’s house, but she sits with Connie for a min. Connie notices she is sad… I love you / me too. Jero loves you, value him. Nata cries and agrees then leaves.
Marina arrives at Jero’s… he is surprised she is there. She wants the truth from him. He takes a deep breath before dropping the bomb… My heart, my body and my soul want to be with Nata

Prev: It all leads to Jero/Nata reconciliation (we see Marina upset leaving, but I have a feeling she is leaving Jero’s apt…) but a pregnancy might change everything… (oh no! Could Nata be preggers but Jero will deny the paternity based on assumption that she and Augie had a powaw?)

Maury Povich, absolutely! Marta you got that right. That might be the funniest paragraph of the entire recap.
I agree with Alfonsina. Kari needs to stop acting like a piece of paper and start acting like a major player.
Oh no, a pregnancy? Could it be Renata? Hasn't it been a while since she and Jero, you know? But then it could be Marina and as a doctor shouldn't she have that Birth Control thing well under control? Could they both be preggers? Oh that would be way too complicated.
I agree with your MAJOR BARF at Blanca. I guess the female delights are few and far between at the nuthouse for the doctor to let Blanca call her boyfriend right in front of him.

Marta, Thank you for your revealing recap. I am so gonzo time wise tis week, I am totally grateful for all your insights.
I do our village's spring artist studio tour at a local winery and the owner resells the oak barrels when they get too old for wine to be recycled as decorative containers and yes they are expensive. This one looked quite new but it made me laugh that Augie hit it over and over and it barely made a dent. Talk about estupido.
I think they are keeping us agitated on purpose on almost all fronts with a few hugs and kisses thrown in to make us return the next night. It's exhausting I tell you. Buenas noches, I have another early morning, Thursday is the special shapes day so get up to potograph, the elephant the Brazilian bees, turkey, stagecoach, Darth Vader and so many more. Hope we get a clear monring.

And Nata - another victim of conversationus interruptus. If eavesdroppers just stuck around to hear the rest of the conversation these TNs would be only half as long.
I'm loving the reconciliation scenes -- but what is this pregnancy that is going to cause complications???? I was pretty sure that Jero & Dr. of the grands tetons hadn't done the deed yet -- but that was my first thought since we saw her melting tear streaked face when we heard about the pregnancy threat. But -- Nata went on and on about her fears that Fina's evil might be an inherited mental condition ..... So if it really hasn't been as long since the tree of temptation ............

Marta- This recap was fantastic. I loved your commentary too.
I hated Berta's evil thoughts about it being easy to fool Gina. She's right, of course. I just wish she really had a desire to change and take this 2nd chance (you're right that it's more like a 4th or 5th chance), instead of just wanting revenge on Fina, Gina's money, Gonzo's protection, and to stick it to Nata yet another time.
I don't think that Jero will let Nata push him away this time. He seems pretty decided and determined. I think the announcer definitely led us to believe Marina may be the one who is pregnant. You know how this show likes to hide things from us and then show us in flashbacks, so I have a feeling Jero and Marina DID do the deed. In tn time, the encounter in the tree happened a long time ago and we've not had one dizzy spell from Nata yet.
Blanca taking an interest in Fina is scary. I think there will be an unholy alliance between these two, as we always suspected.
Wasn't this filmed during or just after the swine flu hit Mexico pretty hard? The doom music kept playing every time Marina said Padre had the flu. If I remember correctly, that strain of flu even killed young healthy people, not just the very young and the very old.
I'm glad Adri had a good talk with Nata to get her to stop freaking out about the possibility of inherited mental illness. But it still doesn't change that she thinks Jero wouldn't want to be with the daughter of the woman who murdered his brother. Hopefully, he or Gina will set her straight soon.
I really enjoyed that scene because it played almost like a love scene. The embrace and Nata saying she needed Adri. Friends do have those moments, but tns rarely show this. I also enjoyed the Coni-Nata scene. I got a bit teary actaully. I think Coni said, "For your love, it was worth it." Awww!
Matias and Adri are for sure going to get it on during this conference. They both know it, and I think Gonzo and Honorio do too!

Dumb question, but does Arelia have an accent (I can't place it) or maybe lisp. She sounds different (besides being a shank and totally evil).
Another question, so many of the actresses have that beautiful red-gold hair. How do they keep it during times of kidnapping, hiding out on the finca, on bedrest during an entire pregnancy, etc.? Plus, maybe her city beautician won't make a beauty appointment a couple of hundred miles to the finca.

Tia- so funny. I've been thinking that myself,especially with Berta. Even after major rolls in the hay with any of her selected buddies, she has nary a hair out of place...ever! I would guess between hair extensions and LOTS of product, they can keep those beautiful tresses looking A-1 no matter what peril or activity they are dealing with.
Nata's hair is the only one that sometimes fluctuates with the curls a little messier or maybe softer.

I'll be quite unhappy with the writers if the pregnancy is Dr. None-of-my-tops-is-large-enough-to-hold-my-assets. They've already put a pregnancy in the way of Jero & Nata. I know it's different. The fake"Jero is the father" pregnancy of Roberta was

Rant over-- moving on -- Kudos to Honorio for immediately contacting the police to try to run down the source of Batty Blanca's phone call. Not so sure about his not mentioning anything to Coni -- even in her delicate condition honesty might forestall later difficulty
As for the sweet Adri/Mat reunion -- they're going to keep it a secret until she can talk to Chema??? When are you people going to learn that secrets are what cause all of your problems?

Speaking of "estupida" I notice that there is something congenital about the use of that word. Roberta must have inherited her vocabulary from Fina. The barrel axing was so fake. Auggie only went after one little wooden barrel and not smashing all the large tanks and the regulating equipment. He's not dumb.
The commentors got me thinking on who of all our ladies have done the horizontal tango and now might be the one who is revealed to be pregnant.
1) Roberta and Rafael, Matias and Auggie--Nope, she is currently esteril.
2) Renata and Jeronimo--they had the tree trunk reunion not too long ago. She's in the running.
3) Arely and Auggie--about the right amount of time has gone by, but she's experienced enough to use birth control correctly. However, she could be in the running.
4) Kari and Lazaro--I don't think she would have acostarse with Laz until after the ring was on her finger--and that's a long way away. She's not in the race for preggers announcements.
5) Mati and Carlos--As lovey-dovey-smoochie-woochie as these two have been, I think the curse (and I don't mean the monthly one) is holding Mati back from consumating.
6) Regina and Gonzo--Hmmmm. If it could happen to Felipe and Carmela on Alborada--a "change of life" baby could happen. In my mind, she's in the running, but waaay behind.
7) Adri and Matias--They haven't had a chance yet, too soon. We have to wait until their business trip for them to get down to "business."
8) Marina and Jero--I don't think he had wiped Nata out of his thoughts to go that far with Marina, although he kept telling her he was ready to move on. Furthermore, they haven't had shown us any tree trunk opportunities or picnics at the beach for this to happen. And his house and her living arrangements have been off limits. I don't think she would deliberately get herself pregnant by Jero just to trap him. She's been too honest and upfront with him to pull that on him. But, we can't rule her out of a game changing strategy.

10) Constanza--Unfortunately, no.

JudyB, you have a very good point about Arely. Ruining an entire wine harvest? And why isn't Augustin pressing charges against her? It seems he could have her thrown in jail and he could gloat at her like she gloated at him. Ah well, it's just a silly plot line that will 1) cause trouble for Laz and Kari, and 2) further prove how outside-the-law Augi is by trying to kill Arely instead of pressing charges against her.
I just thought that a game changer would be Arely being pregnant by Auggie. THAT would change things for Nata and Jero. But that would be Just. Too. Easy.

You know, I'm still stumped as to how Dr. Deathly and Alfonsina managed to do anything that made her think she got pregnant by him when she still had on her skin tight jeans when they were caught rolling around in the mud under the grape vines. Pretty amazing that!

Well count me in as being against a doctor baby. I mean, if anyone here knows about birth control, it's here. And although that would be a game-changer, it'd be a permanent one. They wouldn't dare throw in yet another miscarriage. And Renata wouldn't change anything except for the better, and it's too soon for that. What is Roberta really isn't esteril? Maybe she's having a little Augie and will have to explain this to Renata? At least if the baby talkes after daddy, she woulnd't have to worry about it breaking things. I'm pretty sure even I could have done some damage with an ax, for cryin' out loud. The barrel could probably still be reused.

Sure - what Arely did was in no way justified given that she knew she had no claim on Auggie. I think she was just punishing him for being such an underhanded ass. It's just the writers giving us something to cheer and then setting up Auggie for an even worse crime.
Many of us are so tired of Auggie getting away with all these dirty tricks (and more planned), we can't help but cheer when he gets a really dirty trick played right back on him where it really hurts. Whether "right" or not, it's pretty much on the same scale as the stuff he pulls.

I noticed Renata kept scratching her itchy palm on his head yesterday. She was pretending to give him a sisterly caress but I know her hand was just itching.

Why doesn't Regina come forth with a magnanimous gesture, a la Three Men and a Baby, and tell both the girls the situation, but tell them she does not want to look at the DNA results as she is hoping both girls will feel at home with her and Gonzo, and she loves them both as daughters so a DNA test won't change anything?
Who could be pregnant? How could it be Marina?
When did they do "IT"?
When did they "DO" it?
When did they "DO IT"?
Is it possible they "DID IT" and we didn't get to hear an accompanying song?
Welcome, Tia Annita - a funny thing to me about Areli's lisp is that in real life her name is Illithya, so even her name is spelled and pronounced with a lisp!
