Cuando Me Enamoro #140 Thursday 11/3/11 I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.*

*W.B. Yeats

Amigos, my dear, sweet suegra passed away today. I suspected today might be the day and I was able to get most of the recap done by watching the episode online and scheduling to post it this evening. I missed the last ten minutes or so of the episode, so if any of you have any corrections or additions please feel free to jump in. I'll check in later...

Regina shares the photo of Roberto Gamba with Renata and says there is no doubt he loved her very much. Renata agrees, her father was a good man, and she has a few flashbacks to when he was alive. “I am your father,” pipes up Gonzo. The beautiful curly haired lasses jump and squeal for joy. Gonzo smiles as his favorite women hug. “Who is my father? YOU are my father!” exclaims Renata.

Jero, Matias and Roberta sit in the waiting room feeling horrible about the nightmare they are in. Matias asks Berta how is she feeling and she points out he is the first to ask her. Jero comments that when Renata saw a picture of her papa it generated a bunch of memories for her. She remembered he loved her, hugged and kissed her, etc. Berta comments that’s very odd because Nata didn’t even meet him until she was a year old and she (Berta) doesn’t have those memories at all. Berta bitterly thought bubbles her papa just wanted her to disappear, that’s why Nata has all the memories that Berta should have had. These boring and bitter thoughts are interrupted by the news about Gonzo.

Tony tells his Padre adviser that he’d like to continue his religious studies at the seminary outside of Mexico City but for now he can’t leave the country because of all the police crapola. The Padre suggests he can continue his studies in the country. Gee, I wonder where he’ll end up?

The family gathers around Gonzo’s bed and the doc gives them the good news that Gonzo’s mind and body are starting to come together. Matias burbles that of course Gonzo wants to reclaim his position as father to his princess Renata. “Always her!!” thought bubbles Berta with renewed bitterness, “She always has everyone’s love!”

The doc recommends they keep up the stimulus of love, photos, conversation and memories for Gonzo and that will help his recovery.

The padre gives Tony some seminary choices and, as predicted, he selects Valle de Guadalupe. He can help out while Padre Severino continues his convenient (for some) illness.

The family gushes around Gonzo’s bedside, with Matias and Renata jokingly vying for his affection. Jero comments he’s glad to see them united and without problems.(!!) Berta sulks on the sidelines as usual. Regina wants them all to stay at her place while Gonzo rests. I think Berta volunteers to take everyone's things over to Regina’s, but she’s pretty grumpy about it. Her one genuine smile is when she kisses Gonzo and tells him she loves him.

Marina tells Padre S it looks like he’s finally getting better. He says he was afraid he was going to spend his final days stuck in some hospital bed. When it’s his time he wants to be in his own parish surrounded by his people. Uh oh, a bit of foreshadowing there? She tells him he’ll have some help soon, not a substitute but a helper. Also Doc Nasty’s permanent replacement should be arriving in town soon. Padre S looks anguished as she reminds him her days at Valle de Guadalupe are short.

Cons and Hons give Adri the good news about Gonzo. She tells them she needs to talk to them about a delicate situation concerning Chema.

Chema ears are ringing and he feels a bit dizzy. Chema thinks it’s odd that his doc has spoken to his dad but not to him. Dad says Chema has a magnesium deficiency and not to worry. Dad makes white bread and mayonnaise sandwiches for them; our foodie chef really is sick if he thinks this white food will help his magnesium deficiency.

Meanwhile Coni makes a magnesium-rich green salad with grated carrot. Hons is not really on board with Chema’s "lies till he dies therapy" (thanks Lila!!). Coni sees both sides. Hons thinks she and Matias have already fought so hard for their love they don’t need this added hurdle.

While MariTata is at the clinic she gets an ultrasound. The doctor hears something interesting. Marina asks is something wrong? Nope, listen up, two heartbeats!

Matias dines with Familia Adri and the moment the men are alone Hons blurts out that he absolutely does not agree with the Chema charade. Matias agrees it doesn’t make sense to him but the ladies have hearts of gold. As long as Adriana is firm in her conviction he’s going to help her. Big eye roll from dad.

In the kitchen the lady lookalikes admire a cake, recipe provided by Chema of course. Adri has a personal question, how did Coni really feel about Chema? Cons says if they’d met earlier in her life he would have been in grade school, wait that’s not right. Cons says if they’d met earlier they might have had something going because there is a lot to like about the guy, but her heart belongs completely to Hons so there you have it. Adri says her heart belongs completely to Matias, then they talk some more about Chema’s rotten situation.

Jero and Renata snuggle and make fun of the coffee table art. Jero is in such a good mood he even concedes that Berta truly loves Gonzo...in her way. Nata, ever the faithful sis, confirms yes she does love him. This blissful moment is predictably interrupted by a newsflash from the Valle. “We’re going to have twins!” Jero repeats the news aloud; he is thrilled and Renata is less so.

Apparently Chema has forgiven papa for the sandwiches as he claims to be glad dad is there with him. Dad says Chema has the pantalones he never had. He did what his dad wanted him to do, whereas Chema is following his own desires which is the right thing. Dad says he’s going to make up for lost time, “Let’s be restaurant partners!” Dad says he will provide the capital and Chema will provide the talent.

Jero continues to exclaim his happiness ad nauseum while Renata silently leaves the room. She hides out in the bathroom to deal with her jealousy and frustration. She even screams into a towel which I think is amazingly realistic. Jero starts to look for Nata to share his joy but Roberta arrives to spread some jeer. She’s got the emerald necklace to return to Nata, the one that Augustin bought for her, the divine, expensive one that she gleefully waves in front of Jero’s face. And she leaves it opened on the ottoman to further annoy Jero.

Renata composes herself while Berta goes into their bathroom and texts to Augustin the brands of perfume and cologne.

Jero gets all over Nata’s case for accepting gifts from a murderer. Berta lurks and hears, Augustin a murderer? Jero continues his well-honed accusing and blaming as his inner monster once again rears its ugly head. Nata tries to tell him the gift was received while they were apart... He interrupts and accuses her of being vulnerable to an unscrupulous man. She becomes angry and insists she thinks the best of people until they prove otherwise. The usual argument continues with the added ingredient that he is now the father of TWINS! Berta’s big grin is the appropriate conclusion to this odious scene.

Although MariTata is thrilled about the twins, she continues to kvetch in double time because now she will be the single mother of not one but two babies.

Somehow Nata’s last statement has shut up the raging Jero. He didn’t think how the news would affect Renata. The forgotten Roberta makes her appearance and departure while Renata and Jero share an "Oh S**t" moment.

Berta calls Augustin and demands to know why Jero and Renata call him a murderer. Who exactly did he kill? Augi proclaims his innocence. He was cleared of all charges. Berta advises that Augi make sure Nata believes it or she will never get back together with him. He tells Berta she’d better help him. She says she’ll try and she already texted him the names of Nata and Jero’s colognes. Also, Marina is expecting twins which is a big problem for Nata; Augi had better take advantage of this.

Nata explains to Jero that the news is not easy for her and Jero has no idea how hard it is. Unbelievably he begs her forgiveness. Any news of Augustin makes his blood boil. She tells him let her deal with her own problems.

And this is where I had to leave, aargh!

UPDATE: Last 10 minutes courtesy of Vivi, she who saves the day weekly...
-Nata insists on returning the necklace herself to Augie. Jero thinks this is a bad idea since Augie is a murderer that may do her harm.
-Nata says there are many ways to do harm and Jero's relationship with Marina did her harm and continues to do her harm. Anyways, she's even getting used to the idea that Augie is a murderer, just like her mother. She gets ticked off and heads off to lock herself in the bedroom.
-Alone, Jero admits Nata is right. But he can't help being excited about the babies.
-In the bedroom, Nata airs her frustration at God. She wonders if the twins will be girls, boys, or one of each. She can't believe God is allowing Jero to have TWO children with Marina, while she is not even sure she can give Jero any kids.
-Adri and Matias canoodle, kiss and tickle and agree to disagree on the Chema thing. She gives him back her engagement ring for now.
- Augie tries to figure out which one of his victims Nata and Jero know about. If they know about Arely, only Zeke could have talked. And not even Nesme, who is dead, knew that he sent those guys to kill him, so he doesn't think it could be that murder they know about.
-In bed, Nata pretends to be asleep and clings to her side of the bed. Jero kisses her goodnight and tries to reach out to touch her, but she's too far away. He looks like he'll have a sad, sleepless night.
-The next morning, the doc is telling Gina, Cons, and Matias that they can take Gonzo home and continue his therapy there. There will be times when he will be able to speak concurrently, and other times when it will be difficult for him. They need to have patience. The bullet is still lodged in his head though.
-Nata wakes up late to a fully dressed Jero bringing her breakfast in bed. She still looks pissed. He begs her to forgive him and says he doesn't like her being mad at him.
-She asks the 50 Million Dollar question. Why did he sleep with Marina? He says he didn't love her, so why?
-Jero says it was for a lot of reasons-- loneliness, consolation, because he felt rejected by Nata. For many of the same reasons that he supposes she slept with Augie.
-Nata looks at him like he has two heads and says she has NEVER been intimate with Augie.

And there we end with a totally impactado Jero who really feels like a dog now.

I'm sorry to hear about your suegra, Capt Sylvia. I'll be thinking about you and your family.

I never wanted to have children but even I thought Jero was a zero for carrying on like that in front of Renata. Her reaction was totally realistic and true to character.

And Roberta needs to learn something: You have no control over whether anyone loves you. Get over that. And how will she explain that shopping spree when theoretically Regina has very little money left after paying the ransom?

As for Augustin, I feel like a need a shower and a police guard after every scene he's in.

First of all Sylvia, I am so sorry to hear that your suegra passed away. All the best to you, your husband and family.

I was absolutely amazed that you found the episode online! I thought Uni pulled all the full online episodes.

Here's what you missed in the last 10 mins:

I also thought Nata's reaction was really true to life and character. Great acting on Silvia's part and good writing. That was a good fight. Loved Nata's point that she can return the necklace, but Jero can't return two babies. Also love her demand for RESPECT.

Oh, the other thing in the last 10 mins was Augie trying to figure out which one of his victims Nata and Jero know about. If they know about Arely, only Zeke could have talked. And not even Nesme, who is dead, knew that he sent those guys to kill him, so he doesn't think it could be that murder they know about.

So sorry about your suegra Sylvia. But knowing your heart, you were with her during the last days, stable and supportive, which is what all of us need near the end.

Your title is so beautiful and so apt. Where do you find these beautiful quotes? Simply dazzling.

And how typical of you, when it would have been easy to pass on the recap, to find a way to get it done. You're incredibly caring and incredibly responsible. And much loved amiga. As was your suegra, I'm sure.

Silvia really knocked it out of the park tonight in her talk with God (or was it the Virgencita?). Well whatever. Her acting...and her towel chewing!..were superb. Man, is she a pro.

I'll read the recap tomorrow, but sending you and yours love and prayers.

Sylvia, so very sorry about Tom's mother. I can't believe you did the recap in the midst of it all, bless your heart. And an excellent recap it was, beginning with the title.

So, Gonzo is just barely conscious and he has to go home? Bad HMO??

Bless you Sylvia, your husband and all the family at this time. Your opening line brought tears to my eyes. Obvious how close you were.

So like you to think of still giving us this recap. And I love your quote by Yeats.

A rather sad episode. With Auggie I just try not to watch his tantrums and sneers anymore. Noticed he had purple on tonight.
After all the positive we've had with Nata and Jero, I guess we knew that events would go south and start to come between them. His reaching for her in bed was a great symbolic moment and doesn't bode well for them. At least for the near future.

Again, so sorry Sylvia. An Inuit saying someone sent me when I lost my dad:

"Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."

Sylvia:

My deepest condolences to you, your husband and your entire family in the loss of your suegra.

Elna June

Cap'n Sylvia, please accept my deepest sympathy to you, your husband and family with the passing of your Mom-in-law.

Thank you for taking time to even post this under the circumstances and thank you for the shout-out. I rarely read a recap without watching the episode first, but I had to read this once I saw it posted. I think it will add to my understanding and enjoyment.

Can't believe they're reawakening the jerk side of Jero. .somehow this is going to feed into the Auggies big smelly plot to steal Renata away.

Lila

Sylvia, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know one thing... she was blessed to have you in her life. I am sure you have given her much joy. That's just what Sylvia does.

Rosemary la Otra

Condolences about your suegra, Sylvia. So sad - as much when it is expected.

Audrey

It was a great fight between Jero and Nata. Juan Soler does livid so well, it's darn scary. But, wow, did Renata ever tell him off! And most of it even sunk in! Although the idiot is so beside himself with pride and joy over the twins - he just can't contain himself. Poor Renata.

Audrey

Sylvia, I'm so sorry and saddened to hear about your mother-in-law's death. I'm in awe that you that you think so much of us that you made such an effort to provide us with this delightful recap. The title you chose is precious.

Vivi, how very Vivi of you to jump in and complete this. Thanks, you are such a jewel.

I must admit that I felt some compassion for Roberta tonight. She seemed so uncomfortable in Gonzo's room standing in the shadows cast by Renata's radiance and the clear preference for her that emanated from everyone there including (especially so) the silent gorked out Gonzo.

I know she is responsible for the ire directed at her but she looked so small and weak standing there. Last night she made me smile by ruefully noting:

"You kill one dog and forever after you are a dog killer."

Vivi, I don't know whether Jerry believed that Nata slept with Augie or not... I think probably not... though he may not be certain. His last statement in trying to explain the Marina thing was:

"Mira. Creo que fue una mezcla de muchas cosas. De soledad, de amistad, de consuelo. Renata, me sentía rechazado. Solo. Bueno, como supongo que pasó a ti con Dunant."

"Look. I believe it was a mixture of many things. Of loneliness, friendship, consolation. Renata, I felt rejected. Alone. Well, like I suppose happened to you with Dunant."

Of course then she answered:

"Yo nunca tuve intimidad con Agustín, Jerónimo."

"I never was intimate with Agustín, Jerónimo."

I really don't care for the guy so I'm not sure why I'm taking up for him, but I don't think he was implying that she was intimate with Augie. I think it was just another stupid thing he said trying to justify himself when he should have been begging forgiveness.

As stupid as he is, I don't think he would accuse her (especially at this point) of having sex with Augie and I think she was simply emphasizing the fact that he shouldn't even imply any equality to their situations.

I think that Jerry's main flaw is immaturity. For a man his age, childlike (which many times he is) may be a good thing, but childish is not.

Carlos

Carlos- I am shocked you're doing it, but thanks for sticking up for Jero and giving him the benefit of the doubt. :)

I knew you would have a soft spot for Berta during that scene. She did look particularly vulnerable and she even smiled, and it wasn't evil! But then she goes right back to plotting against her sister, so I never let myself feel sympathy for her.

Wow. What an episode! Jero and Nata's fight was epic. Both actors are superb, really.

Juan Soler made me really hate Jero when he started glowing with joy at the news he is having twins. What a dolt. Could you for once, think first about Renata and how this might affect your wife? Your life? Geez...

Loved the ending. Jero was muy impactado for sure.

EJ

Thank you everyone for your heartfelt sympathies. At times when I am very stressed and distracted I find that doing a recap helps me concentrate and become more centered. Go figure. I found the episode on justintv after doing a search on "CMESDET Capitulo 140".

Vivi, I added your bits to the end of the recap. Thanks so much for helping out.

JudyB, I thought of you when I chose the title. It is dedicated to Renata of course because she never tires of spreading her dreams under the feet of others, no matter how many times they trample on them. A few months ago I decided to re-read some of the old classics and poetry and whenever I run across a good line I save it. The good ones mean as much (or more) today as they did way back when.

I agree with all of you that this episode was awesome and the argument between Jero and Renata was epic. They are excellent actors who clearly bring out the best in each other. I am in awe of their talents.

Carlos, I think Jero believed Renata slept with Augustin because Augi basically told Jero that's what happened. I do think Jero assumed Renata had intimate relations with her then-fiance even though Jero was not accusatory about it. Maybe we will get more information tomorrow but he was certainly impactado when she set him straight.

OK all, I'm exhausted. I'll check back in tomorrow. Thanks again for your kind words and supportive thoughts.

My condolences to you, Sylvia and your family. It is so hard to lose someone close and beloved.

A clarification about Berta's shopping spree--

I think Berta bought Gonzo a pajama top, silky etc. But she bought a whole bunch of stuff for herself.

The money she used was not Regina's. It was Mamma Fina's, who currently can't use it. I thought I heard her say to herself in one of the shops, something to the effect, thanks Mamma.

Carlos--it would change your take on Jero to know that Augie boasted to Jero on a couple of occasions that Nata was now HIS mujer, implying intimidad. The word intimidad itself conveys more than just staying in his house and breaking bread with him.

The argument scene was brilliantly written. Yeah, Nata can return the necklace, but he can't return the twins.
NOK

How else would Fina have that kind of money except for the ransom?

Does anyone know how many more episodes there are?

Ah, it there were pajamas, hence the shininess! Thanks NOK.

When Fina realized that they were on to her scent, she gave the money over to Berta for safe keeping. The money is the cash she got from Gina, who got it from Jero. So it's really Jero's money Berta's spending.

Urban- I think this tn is 181 or 182 caps long. We have about 40 caps to go.

Ohmigosh...Carlos sticking up for Jero!? And I agree with Sylvia and NOK, Augustin implied on several occasions that Renata had been "his" and I'm surprised Jero hadn't fumed about this before. Guess the medical desktop rendezvous helped curb his tongue.

Watching Renata's sadness and hurt while he gushed all over his cellphone was so painful. Man that was a tough episode.

Thanks for that Inuit saying Daisynjay. I received something similar in a card when my father died:

"We have loved the stars too much to be fearful of the night."

For whatever comfort either saying may give Sylvia, it is for you...and Tom.

One of the best moments of the episode was Honorio channeling the audience aand rolling his eyes at the stupid "lies till he dies" plan. Thanks Hon!

Thanks, Sylvia, NOK, and Judy. I did recall Augie's boasts to Jerry that Renata is his mujer now and all that this implied. Even so, I don't think Jerry allowed himself to believe it, though I'm sure that he at least was uncertain.

What I was saying was that Vivi and I heard exactly the same thing (as did Renata and Jerry) and had different takes on what was meant.

Whether he thought Renata had slept with Augie or not, I don't think that he was addressing that aspect when he said what he said. I think he was only hoping it would encourage Renata to be more sympathetic by comparing the similarity of their states of mind at the time. I doubt that, no matter what he he thought might have happened between Augie and Nata, that it was something he wanted to confront.

I think Renata thought that he was accusing her of having sex with Augie and wanted to clear that up once and for all.

I don't think the conversation between the two was quite over as the show ended last night. It will be interesting how Jerry responds. I fully trust him to screw things up even more.

Carlos

I also think Jero assumed Nata had been sleeping with Augi. When Nata was hiding out at Augi's, Jero angrily accused her of being Augi's mistress then, and I don't think she set him straight because she was so mad. Later, when he found out why she had been sent to Augi's, I don't think he revised his assumptions, because by then Nata and Augi had been engaged for a while (which was when she justifiably recieved the necklace - Jero was so way off base there).

And, I expect it was also partly that he didn't really debate much over sleeping with someone else, so why would she.....

Audrey

I always thought that is was interesting, and really liked, that this heroine's "virgin" status was never mentioned and never an issue. Yet, despite massive make-out sessions in his apartment, the two of them never made love before they got married. Of all the city girls, Nata is the only one who hasn't jumped into the sack with someone without first being married to them. Adri, Arely, Marina, Selene, Berta-- they've all crossed that line with boyfriends and lovers.

Of course, our conservative country girls Mati and Kari (I'm not counting Alfie's nasty affair) are not giving away the milk until the ring is one their finger and they've said "I do."

What can Jerry possibly say to rescue himself from this awkward situation? Perhaps:

" Well, that's not what Augie says."?

Carlos

Wicked man! That would sink Jero's ship for sure.

Very interesting discussion on this episode. I have enjoyed it.

Carlos, your quotable quote of the day: "I fully trust him to screw things up even more." Amen, brother. I for one cannot wait until tonight to see how he works his way out of this one.

One thing that had me laughing, Roberta shopping in the DF and waving her wad of cash around wherever she went. I'm amazed she wasn't mugged or purse-snatched. Surely that kind of behavior can't go one forever. I wonder if Jero thought to mark the bills? Probably not enough time.

Urban A's question, "how will she explain that shopping spree when theoretically Regina has very little money left after paying the ransom?", still applies if we swap out Fina's name for Regina. I don't think Fina's going to like it too much when she finds out her daughter is cutting a wide swath through their funds, especially if the behavior continues. Not to mention it is suspicious since Roberta theoretically has no resources at the moment as far as I know.

daisynjay and JudyB, thank you for those lovely quotes. They are lovely and helpful.

Sylvia: My condolences to you and your family. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks to you and Vivi for the recap.

If Auggie thinks Zeke betrayed him, Z's in big trouble.

This is the first argument Jero and Nata have had since their reconciliation. I'm glad to see Jero taking responsibility for his part of it and apologizing. But what a doofus for going on and on about the twins. They are a fact, so Nata is going to have to deal with them, but he has to learn to moderate his feelings about them in front of her at least until she gets more used to the idea.

The babies are a dilemma. I can see a few scenarios: 1. The babies are miscarried (very sad and not what we want). 2. Marina dies and Nata and Jero raise the babies. 3. Marina meets someone and it becomes one big happy extended family. 4. A single Marina and twins are in their lives and Nata just has to suck it up. Or, she learns not to mind so much--especially after giving Jero children.

I believe not telling Chema that he is dying is reprehensible. They are not giving him a chance to put his affairs in order, to say his goodbyes, to do things he might want to do before he dies. How dare they make that choice for him!

Robey

Robey:
I like your analysis of the twins' situation. I for one vote for your "Marina finds a nice guy like Gonzolo who always wanted to have twins" scenario. Marina seems to be a good person—even if she dresses inappropriately. It would be complicated but the two families could find a way to live H>E>A> in telenovela-land. Plus it has some symmetry with Gonzolo having raised and loved Nata and Berta as his own.

Just an idea...

EJ

Oh, yes, Vivi, thank you for rounding out the recap and your ever, so great insight into human nature.

Carlos--you have a point. At the time Augie boasted about "having" Renata and how in love she was with him, Jero wasn't believing any of it. Again, thoughtlessly, he brought it up as a well--tit for tat-as.

Actually Judy, if Jero uses Carlos' quote to answer Renata, it's putting the ball (so to speak) back in Nata's court. She will either have one more indication that Augie lies, lies, lies, OR,if Nata is not in a forgiving mood, she can accuse Jero of lying about what Augie said to put him in a bad light.

She needs an independent, neutral observer to sit down with her and make of list of all Augie's
pecados. I wonder when Arely, SG, will make her reappearance to reinforce the assesino label.

Augie is going to be one impactado dude when he sees NottheBridegroomzombie appear at the wedding.

Right now, poor Ezeke is carrying the burden of all his machinations. He'd better be careful, with Augie sniffing around--oh, sorry, that's going to be poor Nata who's doing the sniffing.

More tristesa for our heroine, sniff, sniff,
NOK

EJS: Marina finding a good guy would be my first choice, too. Marina is a good person. She's a little whiny now, but I'm hopeful she'll get over that. I think once Nata gives Jero a child that will take a lot of the angst off of her.

Robey

Well, if Jero could find a "diplomatic" way of telling Renata that Augi had claimed several times that Renata had been "his woman", it would show more clearly how Augi is a liar.

Audrey

Oh - I see NOK already pointed that out!

Sylvia, I am so very sorry to hear of your suegra's passing. It is a painful loss and my heartfelt sympathy and wishes of comfort go out to you, Tom and your families.

As already noted (and beautifully), your kindness in persevering to do this recap is amazing. There is no doubt by today's comments how much we care for you.

Your recap was lovely - "The beautiful curly haired lasses jump and squeal for joy" was my favorite line. And Vivi, your contributions were excellent.

I agree with everyone that Renata's reaction was realistic. Her pain was palpable. The truth is, it will get much worse, won't it? If the idea of twins is sending Jero over the moon now, what will he be like throughout the rest of the pregnancy, let alone once the twins are born? A very difficult situation for everyone.

God bless Sylvia. Will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Diana

Sylvia, my sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your suegra. "Those we cherish will always live on in our memories."

I can certainly understand Jero's joy about the twins. He did leave his Spanish lover for not wanting to have children. He has probably always wanted children but when he finally thinks this through this was not the best way. Just wait until he has to change his first diaper.

If Augie would fall off the planet and give Renata some space she will eventually come to love the twins. She is so kind and caring and could not help herself.

I think pobre Zeke needs to disappear for awhile or Augie is going to do something to him. I do not have a good feeling about this.

Fina is truly evil. That wink at the end was very telling. I wonder if anyone in the courtroom saw it?

UA, I agree with you about the shower and police guard.

I must say that Renata (SN the actress) has really grown as an actor. I did not like her one bit in MEPS but she is terrific in this role.

Rosemary

Sylvia, my condolences on your beloved suegra. I think she was lucky to have someone like you, and it sounds like you felt the same way about her.

I hope Roberta keeps shopping up a storm. It shouldn't take them very long to figure out where the ransom money is if she does. Are those young ladies EVER going to turn 25? It feels like it's been imminent forever.

If Jero wants to convince Nata Augie is bad, why doesn't he have Zeke tell her a few stories? Or Lazaro? Jero does know about Arely's disappearance, right?
