El Talisman recappers: want to bail out?
It's been suggested by several people (including my dear recappers) that El Talisman is so bad, why not all y'all jump ship and come on to the Passion Pit? I gather it couldn't be worse. Let me know in the comments...

Obviously I don't have a say here since I don't recap this one, but if we can move our fun group to the new show I will be on board.
I hate to just drop El Tal cold now that we're so far into it (are we? It's hard to tell). I'd love to at least have posts for discussion either daily or once a week, and honestly the whole plot* can be captured in a few sentences. We could even take turns with that and I'm sure we'd be wowed by the super short summaries people could come up with. Haiku, anyone?
But the recappers are beyond superb!!!
We've had a Shakespearean recap, a private eye recap, and a guest appearance by Rabbi Jacob.
I read their witty recaps, and the witty comments and am spared the lame telenovela.
(it takes real drivel to produce that kind of snark I think). And ANYTHING would be better than El Tal. For their own sake, I hope they bail. I just can't imagine keeping it up for the duration of this one.
But this crew of bright people could do an equally amazing job on the Abyss and would be spared having to watch a crap show being shown at a crap hour and being recapped at an abysmal hour.
It seems to me that, based on the lack of movement in the story, the endless repetitions, and same interactions with the same folks, none of us would miss the actual telenovela too much.
We would miss the creativity of the recappers and posters and the ability to create something out of nothing--or making a silk purse out of Piggorio's ears.
The change in the time slot, sort of means Uni is giving up on ElTal. They can't wink, wink this one telling us the schedule is being enhanced.
I wonder how Chevrolet, Lala milk, Limpid Pools and the Thai T-shirt Conglomerate, Ltd., feel about having this tn they've invested in moved to a nothing hour (AND competing with half of Y&R).
Maybe the bullet recap would start us down the road to true withdrawl and recovery. Later there could be a weekly post "Discuss Among Yourselves" for those who haven't given up or have lapsed (temporarily, we hope).
Since we are only at Cap. 26--we have a long way to go before the torture ends.
Think about it -- Do we want to tear the bandaid off fast and have it hurt like hell for just a little bit, or peel it off, one hair at a time, and have it hurt not so much, but for longer.

I always go through spells of 2-3 shows at a time then none. I'll check out the new one on Monday.

Venenovision should be publicly scorned for this one.
I will miss La Viejita, though.

I think that the store, the newspaper (FUG) and the serious snark will tend to hang with this group. Such a sweet community got started in CME and continued onto ElTal. Actually it started long before that, but you know what I mean.
I like the idea of at least having a place to post comments and short recaps for El Tal. Julia's Haiku sounds like a real challenge.
El Tal team, I believe the gauntlet has been thrown down for Haiku recapping.

We are a very dedicated community of commenters. We don't really know how many lurkers are out there are watching El Tal and depend on these recaps to understand what is going on.
Of course, we don't always know what's going on and don't care or, conversely, we always know what's going on and still don't care.
What to do, what to do. Personally, I'm going to give PP a try--Livia Brito and CE are worth a gander. The story sounds pretty traditional. We'll find a way to get Tal*Mart products to the shelves in Mexico (there's nothing like outsourcing and maquiladoras).

Maybe each recapper can put up a discussion header for El Tal at the same time they post their recap for Abismo...?
Some of us will be watching, no doubt, but those who can't will be left out of the resolution of all the loose ends, if we don't provide some sort of continuity.
