NOTE: This is a long recap, much much longer than I intended it to be. I apologize for not managing to post it earlier. Also, I will post a screencap version too, since this recap would be too stuffed otherwise.
At the hotel
Who’s that knocking on Ana Paula’s hotel door? It’s Vanesa, of course! Ana Paula is impactada, says: “Vanesa!” as if we don’t already know her name and the camera exchanges focus between Ana Paula and Vanesa. That’s the only word we hear from now and while we leave them thinking of awesome punch-lines in the meantime, we go…
The hacienda
Moron Miguel swears they don’t know anyone, they don’t have any more relatives, friends…NOTHING. Oh well, with such a brother it’s no surprise. He should be the forever alone guy. Miguel, don’t bullsh*t with Rogelio. “So does this mean that you lied to me when you told me that Paula was going there?” “I have no idea what you are talking about!” Rogelio thinks he’s just not sober enough, so he tries to sober him hitting the table with his whip! “I told you that if you don’t speak clearly, I will stop helping you!”
Moron Miguel gets on his knees. That’s right, kneel before King Rogelio! But he should know that Rogelio is not up for indecent proposals, since he’s as straight as an arrow; therefore Miguel might want to change his approach. “Do whatever you want, do whatever you want to me, but don’t send me to jail!” Ou la la! Lucky him Rogelio isn’t into THOSE kinds of games, otherwise he would be in deep trouble. In TelenovelaLand, “Do whatever you want to me!” / “I am ready to do whatever you want!” are two phrases you don’t want to say. “How embarrassing!”, replies Rogelio and we all agree. Although in all fairness, Miguel should be sent back to prison, he’s a danger to the society aka to the viewerville’s neurons. “All the bravery that your sister has lacks in you!” – Rogelio leaves the room, while Miguel is still on his knees looking dumbstruck, with emphasis on “dumb”.
Hotel Room
“Vanesa…” Umm…you already said that, dammit! Say something else! “I think that you and me…” and before Ana Paula gets to say something else, Vanesa yells: “MALDITAAA!” - and BUM! PAM! ZAAAAS! Vanesa just bitchslapped the hell out of her lil’ sis. Ana Paula breaths heavily, but in her mind she was probably telling Vanesa to $#@!, $%#@! and also to *****. “Basta!”, she says! Hey, but they are even, she did that to Vanesa too on her wedding day. “I know that you don’t like the idea of us being sisters, but…” “MY FATHER DIED BECAUSE OF YOU! Because of you, malditaaa!” “Don’t say that, he was already sick of heart!” “Yes, and he wasn’t allowed to have strong emotions! What did you tell him in Boredom del Cielo, to make him return that ill?” “Nothing, I didn’t tell him anything! He told me he was my real father.” “Of course, of course and you took advantage to put pressure on him, to force him to give you his name!” “No, not at all, I swear! He offered to do that! Vanesa…my father, our father, was very worried for you, for how will you react and…””In the only way possible, by not recognizing you and hating you even more!” “Please! He wanted us to get along well!” Oh yes, I’m sure you will…your sis only thinks that you stole her father and the love of her life from her. I am sure you’ll become BFF in no time. “But that’s impossible, not only because you’re a hypocrite and an opportunist, but also because you took Rogelio away from me and I will never forgive you for that.”
At familia Duran’s place
Gusbobo explains to her sis that Ana Paula’s marriage is based on a contract. “But anyway, she’s married!” M-A-R-R-I-E-D. Repeat after me, Gus. Seems like the “les forbidden liaisons” run rampart in the Carmona family. The mother – married with one guy, fathering other guy’s child. Son Miguel – bouncing between two girls. Daughter Ana Paula – marrying one and sleeping with other guy. No wonder Fede approved her daughter’s adultery. Back to the scene now. Gustavo gives her that ‘You’re not the most adequate person to speak about these matters’ look and Mercedes continues: “And yes, I know that Ernesto was in the same situation, but I never had an affair with him while he was married.” “Ana loves me!” Ummm…so does Ernesto. Try again. Next argument, please? “And I love her!” Strike two! Gustavo, you should never participate in a public dispute using this kind of arguments to defend your point of view, if you don’t want to have a few tomatoes squirted in your face. “So much, that we are ready to do everything to stay together.” Except waiting…
Hotel room
“I didn’t take Rogelio from you! I didn’t even know what he was planning and my marriage with him is nothing more than…” “You don’t need to tell me anything! It’s clear to me that the only reason why you married him was because of his money.” “That’s not true, let me explain to you, Vanesa!” Don’t worry, Ana Paula, we know you fell for those irresistible dimples. “Explain what? That you were capable of anything to obtain what you wanted?” “No, the things weren’t like that!” “Oh noo? Then how was it? Did you think at least for one minute about how much will this hurt me?” “I didn’t know that you were still in love with him! And even less that you were about to marry. I didn’t know it until Cinthia told me that just before my wedding.” “Vaya, so you still married him even if you knew this, on the day when I was supposed to marry him! After seeing how I humiliated myself in front of Rogelio, so that he doesn’t marry you…” “I am very sorry. I never meant to hurt you! I was angry with Rogelio for what he did to you, I told him that he should apologize to you.” “And that’s why he called to apologize…VAYA, WHAT A GREAT PERSON YOU ARE, THANK YOU!” “I swear I had nothing to do with it. And I offer you an apology for everything I did that hurt you.” Are these two going to fight all day like that? It was your fault!! I did nothing! Ok, we get it, one says she’s innocent and the other one doesn’t buy the story. “And you think that with apologizing you will erase all the damage you caused me? No apology can erase all the damage you and Rogelio caused me, but you two will pay for that.” Oh the cupcake starts to melt…I mean, to cry.
Back at the Durans
Mercedes says she doesn’t tell him all that to annoy him, but because she loves him and because she’s worried about him. She takes his hand and Viewerville has the privilege of seeing for the first time a “Lala” Carton of Milk. What? It’s not the first time? With this telenovela, the product placement just reached new heights. “I know Mercedes; and because you love me, please try to understand! I love Ana and she loves me. We both want to leave the past behind and start all over again.” Wait…what past? Your fabulous three days? That’s not too much of a past, if you ask me. Her marriage? Well, that’s not in the past, that’s in the present, so…And why leave the past behind, since it’s the only thing you guys have? This recapper acts as if the characters could actually respond to her questions. Gus continues: “And this includes that you try to get along with her.” Oh so maybe Mercedes will steal Vanesa’s BFF spot in Ana Paula’s heart after all. Gus: “You are very important to me, I don’t want us to drift apart.” Huh? What in the name of Tostitos with queso dip is he talking about? Dude, your sis just gave you some advice, she didn’t threaten you to make you leave your house so that you can move that ass of yours to do something more prolific than banging Ana Paula. And I’m still talking to the characters.
“Alright, for you I will try it. I just hope Ana won’t make you suffer again.” Smiling Guscake says that’s not going to happen.
Hotel Room
“Instead of speaking of vengeance, we should try to fix all this! We are sisters! This is what our father wanted.” Ana Paula takes Vanesa’s hands. Well, at least she is more convincing with her arguments than Gustavo. “MY father you mean. And spare your tears. You’re a hypocrite who doesn’t feel any pain at all for his death.” “No, you’re wrong.” Oh, come on girls, can’t you two just agree to disagree and call it a day? Ana Paula continues: “Unfortunately, I spent too little time with him, but I loved him very much, I swear to you.” Fair enough, since this is coming from someone who fell in love like a fairytale princess in just 3 days. Can.not.get.over.it,sorry. The same Ana Paula: “Let me see my father! I am asking you for the last time, let me say goodbye to him! Vanesa, please!” “NO and don’t even come near to my house. I can’t believe my father had a child with a cualquiera (with an insignificant, with someone who offers herself easily to men). “I won’t allow you to insult my mother!” Margarito and Rosy enter the room and Rosy tells Margaro to go and take a bath. Vanesa goes: “Oh, only this was missing!” “I hope you reasoned and came here to negotiate, because we’ll fight for half of everything you have, which belongs to my niece.” Que the hell looks from both Ana Paula and Vanesa. Ana Paula: “NOO, aunt!” or, in other words: Damn you, auntie! Everything was going so smoothly between me and Vanesa and now you ruined everything!
Vanesa: “Que?? I’ll rather die first!” Auntie is like “Whatever, we are already preparing the battle with our lawyers.” “No, aunt! De ninguna manera! I am not interested at all in the money, not even a single peso!” Vanesa looks at her surprised, probably thinking that she might not be so ‘Gimme gimme $$ $$’ after all.
Finally, at the hacienda
Rogelio asks Dany to please remember if Paula or her family has acquaintances in Tapachula. “Well…no, no, not that I know and I know them since we were kids”. Sad dimples from Rogelio. “I apologize for asking, but what will happen if she won’t appear or if she will ask for divorce?” Rogelio has a face between disbelief and sadness. “You really think I am such a bad person that I can’t win her love?” He takes her hand in a tender way and asks her if she believes he was really capable of asking someone to kill AP’s boyfriend. With those puppy eyes? Neveeer! She doesn’t know what to say and while she thinks of an answer, we go back to
Hotel room
“Of course we will fight for what belongs to me…err…to us!” Aunt Rosy almost shows her true nature there te-hee. “No, aunt! I only cared about being close to my father! I don’t care about the money.” Umm…without a job and a home and with 2 people who need you, I think Ana Paula should care. It’s just wistful thinking. She lights up a candle in the middle of the conversation, which looks kind of awkward. “We always managed to deal with the lack of money and we will keep doing that.” Just don’t deal with it the Miguel-way, by trying to steal. “But love won’t feed you, so…” “So nothing, aunt! Understand it! I will stay with the love he showed me these last days and his hugs and all his support.”
“Don’t be ridiculous! How can you think that my father managed to love you in such a short time?”, says Vanesa. “Of course, my niece is so goodhearted that everybody loves her.” Too bad she doesn’t love the right person. Hint: starts with “Roge” and ends with “lio”. Auntie continues: “Especially the most important men in your life: Federico and Rogelio! Even though it hurts you.” Well played, Rosy, that hurt! CATFIGHT! Ana Paula has to interfere to break those two. “Vanesa, ya, por favor! Look, I can’t understand your attitude, but you’ll continue being the one who everybody knows as Federico Galvan’s daughter. I won’t fight for his name or money.” Behind her back, Rosy makes a ‘You stupid stupid really STUPID girl’ face. “I don’t believe you. I know you will come up with something, because you’re a hypocrite and you calculate your every move.” “No, it’s the truth!” We should have a drinking game and send a shot down the throat every time one of them goes I don’t believe you / It’s the truth. We would end up having a really bad hangover. “I swear, the only thing I want is to be free. And if you’ll help me divorce from Rogelio, you’ll never see me again.” Bad, bad girl! Rogelio is a keeper. How should Vanesa help you? Seducing him? Vanesa is impactada.
Hacienda
“No, no, I don’t think you’re an assassin!” Oh Dany, your friend doesn’t think that either – she thinks he’s a failed assassin. She continues: “But in the end it doesn’t matter what I think, but what my friend feels and if she doesn’t love you and ask for divorce, what are you going to do?” “Our marriage is a contract and at least she has to comply with one year. “And if she doesn’t want to respect the contract?” Well, she already isn’t doing it… Rogelio gets suspicious, goes backwards with the wheelchair: “Why are you telling me all this, Daniela?” “Well…no, umm…ahh…mumbling…mumbling…she left, this is what I think.”He comes back, grabs his hand again and desperately tells her that he needs to stay with her for a year, so that he can prove his innocence, that he didn’t do anything to her lover and that he was always honest with her. “Don’t you think I have the right for an opportunity?”

“You’re a lot worse than I thought. Of course, why should you spend your life with a paralyzed man, when you believe that you could take advantage of my father’s money?!” “No no no no. If I left Rogelio, I did it for other reasons. I never cared about his condition, while you…that’s why you stopped supporting him when he needed you the most.” Vanesa doesn’t like the taste of her own medicine. “SHUT UP! Do you realize that it’s enough for me to call Rogelio so that he can come and pick you up?” “No no no, Vanesa, please don’t do that! Look, after all, you still love him and if I don’t go back, maybe you could…” Seems like she wants to have another bite of the Guscake, but why would she think that everybody is so eager to commit adultery in the name of love? At least Vanesa was ready to divorce when she went back at the hacienda. “WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? I don’t need your help to re-conquer Rogelio! And you’ll see that he’ll end up begging me.” “It’s alright. De acuerdo, but think about it, I only want my freedom and we all would benefit from my offer.” “I don’t want any deals with you. You are as interested and treacherous as your aunt.” This pisses auntie off and AP again tries to calm them down. She asks Vanesa to think about it. Vanesa leaves. Henry by George, she left. She really left. Yay! Bring the champagne!
Rosy is angry with Ana Paula, gives her the stinkeye and in return, she makes the ‘it wasn’t me’ face.
A few hours later…
Rosy: “What’s going on with you, Ana Paula? You believe that you don’t deserve that good things happen to you? That you have no right to take everything your father wanted you to have? He spoke to the notary, it was his last wish to…” And Evrika! She remembers his name was Patricio and that they have to look for him. “No aunt, understand I don’t want anything!” Someone else knocks on the door. A man tells them that the packinghouse didn’t authorize the payment of the bill. He hands Ana Paula over the paper with the sum that needs to be paid. Oups, auntie Rosy knows she has been busted and she keeps her fingers crossed that Ana Paula won’t yell too loud. “Tia, que hiciste?? That’s 15.000 pesos we have to pay.” In US dollars, it’s about 1150, enough to buy a Macbook Air.
Galvan Mansion
Vanesa places Fede’s ashes on a table and hottie David hugs her. Ok, I know that “ashes” and “hottie” shouldn’t be used in the same sentence, but I can help it. Elsa wants to know what Rosaura told her and Vanesa tells her the scoop, including Ana Paula’s proposal. Elsa says that Ana Paula says this now, but you can’t trust her. Vanesa shares her opinion. “Buenas noches!” Make room for Hottie Number 2, Esteban. Elsa apologizes for giving him the news so late. He gives his condolences to Vanesa. He hugs her and gives David the stinkeye.
Hotel reception
Ana Paula says that it’s written there that they ordered a bottle of champagne and they don’t drink. But they receive the signed bill (or something like that) and auntie remembers they wanted to celebrate when he found out that she is his daughter. The guy at the reception tells them that the deadline for the payment is tomorrow. “And now how are we going to pay all this, aunt?” “Well, Gustavo should support you.” Oh yes, Gustavo. Trust him, he’s an engineer…NOT. He’s not working too much, is he?
Galvan Mansion
Vanesa tells Esteban that he shouldn’t have come, because he’s not part of the family anymore. “Well yes, but in this type of situations…” “There will always be a pretext for you to see me, Esteban! But you have to understand that I will never get back with you.” Too bad, Esty is not too shabby, but hey, she had Rogelio before, so it’s understandable. “Why not?” “I am very sorry, maybe it will be painful what I will tell you, but I prefer to tell you the truth. I don’t love you and now it’s time for you to start remaking your life with someone else.” “It’s because of David, right? I saw that he was hugging you when I came.” “No, no! Of course not, we are only friends and now we are going to be associates.” “Associates??” Esty is impactado.

“Aunt, that ring looks valuable, let’s leave him as a guarantee until we get some money.” “Oh, how can you think that they will accept jewelry? Because she won’t have for you either. And pray to God that she won’t tell Rogelio where you are.” Ana Paula is impactada.

Nanny is in the kitchen speaking with Consuelo about Ana Paula, telling her that they couldn’t find her anywhere. Consu thinks it’s better that they didn’t, but obviously she has no idea what she’s talking about. Consu misses Efrain dearly and Nanny tells her that he didn’t go with the other workers as she thought, but he took Cinthia to Tuxtla.
Galvan Mansion
Cinthia and Vanesa hugging. Vanesa tells Cinthia how much she missed her and that she has no idea how horrible was everything. Cinthia says she’s sorry about her father and Vanesa tells her that everything is Paula’s fault. Cinthia is surprised. “Paula?? What does she have to do with it?” “She is the bastard daughter of my father.” Cinthia is impactada.
A few meters away from them, Esty threatens David that he won’t allow him to take advantage of Vanesa – not as an associate, nor as a woman. David tells him Vanesa is already a grown-up, therefore he shouldn’t take care of her anymore. “Anyway, don’t forget she has my support.” “As far as I know, she doesn’t want to hear from you anymore.” This recapper can’t stop thinking how lucky Vanesa is. I would have Esteban for first course, David for main course and Rogelio for desert. I would make those plates shiny even before washing them, since I wouldn’t waste any ounce of these men. “Even so, I’ll be watching you!” Esty gives David his best intense stare and leaves.
Cinthia can’t believe that that woman is her half-sister! Que horror! “She is a social climber just like her mother was. She became pregnant to tie my father to her, but fortunately she didn’t manage it.” “So she knew all along that she was your sister and even so she married my brother?” “No…no…nothing can surprise me about her anymore.” “Well, be careful! Because judging by the way she is, she will try to take everything away from you, even your empresa.” “Why? Why did all this happen? My father died because of her! Who knows how much she upset and pressured him in Boredom del Cielo.” “What are you going to do, Vanesa? Are you going to tell Rogelio that she’s your half-sister?”

Speaking about Rogelio, he is in his office, looking at this wedding photo. His sad mood is interrupted by a knock on the door. It’s Bruno. Rogelio tells him that Dany knows something more about Ana Paula. “When I talked to her, I noticed she was very nervous.” “Don’t worry, I will try to find out what she knows.” “No, no, don’t just try it – find it!”
Galvan Mansion
The two girls are still talking. Vanesa doesn’t know why Ana Paula told her that she doesn’t care about the money and that she wants to divorce. Cinthia tells her not to believe a thing and to be very careful, because by helping her she would only declare war to Rogelio and lose him forever. But Vanesa says that the same thing will happen if Ana Paula gets back with him. “I have to think about what’s best for me, but now I am not capable of thinking.” David comes back and is glad to see that Cinthia is there to support her friend. Vanesa leaves them and goes to see her mother. Cinthia wants to follow her friend, but she didn’t count with David’s reflexes, who grabs her and tells her that he missed her very much. He goes for the kiss, but it’s a no-go for Cinthia.“David, por favor! Behave yourself! It’s not the best time, we are here to help Vanesa!” Efrain comes at the scene too. Oh my, at this point the only studs missing are Rogelio and Hugo and maybe even Bruno. He needs a girlfriend fast, so that we can see his mighty six-pack in all its glory. Same thing applies to Hugo. Best part about Telenovela funerals is that pretty much all the hotties are gathered together in one place. I’m so heartless. David turns around and sees Efrain and for some reason, both men are surprised to see each other.
Hotel Room
“All this is so sad! *Sniff sniff! We are again without a home. Without money. What are we going to do now?” Oh Rosy, I happen to know a lonely rich and dimpled cowboy, with sad puppy eyes capable of melting the biggest icebergs and who owns a hacienda. “I don’t know, but we have to leave this place not only because of the money, but because I don’t want Rogelio to find us. I hope Vanesa didn’t tell him anything.” Oh Ana Paula, you’re so cruel!
Someone’s knocking at the door and Margarito tries to make us deaf with his screams. “Ay ay ay ay! What if it’s the patron?” Nice job, Ana Paula, you frightened and poisoned that boy, telling him the worst about Rogelio. I bet that when he goes to sleep, he fears that boogeyman Rogelio might hide in his closet. “No, don’t worry Margarito, calm down!” It’s only Guscake. Yawn! Smooch! “Good morning! How are you?” “Well, bad!”, says auntie, while Gus hugs Ana Paula. “I will have to pawn even my ring to pay the hotel bill!” “And moreover, we don’t have where to live”, says Margaro. “Because of her half-sister”, says auntie. Actually, it’s because Ana Paula left the cozy hacienda. Ana Paula doesn’t seem to like the fact that those two started complaining. “Don’t worry, I will help you!” “Really can you pay the bill?” I am positive Gus can do it, just like I’m positive about seeing a pig fly yesterday in the afternoon. Ana Paula tells him that it’s a lot of money, 15.000 pesos. Gus tries to hide his ‘Oh, f**k!’ face, telling them that he thinks he can pay it with his credit card. Thing is, from my experience I know that for some strange reason, in TelenovelaLand credit cards almost always have malfunctions. Note to telenovela characters: Always carry cash! And yet again, I am speaking to people who don’t exist. Still, it’s a pretty good advice.
Auntie thanks him, but wonders where they are going to live and for the moment, Gus tells them they can live in her house. Now now Gus, that would be 5 people in a small house and this is not “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfes”. It won’t work. Ana Paula thanks him, but she is not sure if his sister will like the idea. “I will talk to her. I told you I will always help you. My house is very small, but we can…” “Just how small?”, promptly asks Rosy. “TIA!!””It’s small, but we’ll accommodate.””Well, thank you very much, Gustavo!” Ana Paula, Margarito and Gus go to pay the bill, while Rosy continues with the luggage.

David and Cinthia talk, he says he learned his lesson and it cost him, since he lost her, but he learned to do things right. “Cinthia, please, give me another chance!” “David, I don’t know if I can.” “But you ended up with me because I was dishonest, but this is already in the past! Let’s forget about it!” “And my deception? David, understand me! You can’t ask me to trust you again just like that!” “Cinthia, por favor! At least let’s keep staying in touch, ok?” Efrain interrupts the moment bringing Cinthia her coffee, but she doesn’t seem to have asked for any.
Hacienda
Rogelio is lying in bed, saying: “Another day without you. I can’t take it any longer, Paula.” Hey, glad to see that I am not the only one speaking to myself. “I can’t…” Aww, Rogelio deserves better and I’m not even sarcastic. Nanny comes in and tells him not to start his day torturing himself. “You have to cheer up. I will call Hugo to help you with the bathing.” Wait a second…something ain’t right. So she thinks that with Hugo’s help, he’ll cheer up? What are these guys doing in the bathroom that we don’t know? I want the R-Rated version of the telenovela! “ ‘ta bueno, ‘ta bueno!”, says Roger. Telephone rings. Nanny lets him answer it. “Where the hell are you, Rosaura? Why don’t we know anything about you?” Now Rosaura might be an opportunist, with the dollar sign replacing her pupils, but she knows damn well what we want. “Don’t talk to me like that! Because I had a hard time looking for my niece to give her back to you.” “Paula is with you?” Rogelio lowers his voice. “Yes Rogelio, that’s why I called you, because I already have Ana Paula with me.” Rogelio is relieved to hear that and even smiles, barely containing himself.
Hotel Lobby
“I am sorry sir, but your credit card has been rejected.” Ahahahahahhaa told ya. Can we call Guscake “Mr. Rejected Card” from now on? Viewerville is disappointed with his failed attempt to save the day. Ana Paula: “Gustavo…what a shame!” I don’t know why, but the way she delivered that line made me laugh out loud, it sounded unintentionally sarcastic. “You don’t have to pay anything.” He can’t do it anyway, darling! “I told you I will help you. I’ll see how can I solve it, don’t worry.” “No, Gustavo, I feel very embarrassed.” Margarito storms in, asking if they can pay with Ana Paula’s rings. No no no, dumb boy, what are you doing?? Ana Paula is impactada and Gustavo is giving her the ‘jealous boyfriend’ look.
Hacienda
“Where are you?” “If I tell you, what will you do?” “Answer me!” “Oh please, don’t get upset!” Come on, Rosy, you should know that it’s not wise to play with the patience of an impatient man. She continues: “It’s just that my niece is very frightened. She says that you ordered her boyfriend to be killed.” And of course, Rosy more than anyone, is entitled to believe that. Aren’t you, Rosy? She just pissed Rogelio off: “But that’s not true, that’s not the truth!!” Rogelio, ANA PAULA CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH! And being all alone, without a home. I don’t know…maybe I shouldn’t have called you!” Rogelio is on the verge of giving himself a facepalm. Rosy surely enjoys this so much. “Look, I will buy you a house if you want to and I will duplicate your monthly payment. Tell me where you are!” She’s really good, don’t mess with Rosy if you can’t afford to lose a fortune. “We’re in Tuxtla. Come here and we’ll talk.” Roger, out! Rogelio is almost crying of happiness, if he only knew…*sigh.
Hotel Lobby
Gustavo asks Margarito about the provenience of the rings, since they look expensive and Ana Paula says with half a mouth those are her wedding and engagement rings. Gustavo suddenly has a jealous boyfriend attitude. If he gets so upset about two rings, he’ll go bananas when he’ll see Dashing Mr. Dimples. Ana Paula tells him she didn’t know that Margaro had them and she kills the boy with the rays that come out of her eyes. “I DON’T WANT YOU TO HAVE ANYTHING THAT COMES FROM THAT MAN!” Ohhh easy there, Gustavo. No need to be jealous, since you consumed the cupcake first. Margarito runs away and Gus leaves a message on Esteban’s phone, asking him for money. Ana Paula doesn’t want him to ask for money and he says it’s his responsibility, since he wants to solve all this. “Noo!” “Perdoname…” >>FF. God I hate that song.
Hacienda
Bruno tells Dany that Miguel’s trial is still ongoing and if Rogelio stops supporting him (After all, it wasn’t his duty to take him out of prison), everything can change for him. He asks her to help him find Ana Paula. “But Miguel doesn’t want her to come. He doesn’t want her to sacrifice herself again for him. And I see him in a bad state.” He’s a moron, she shouldn’t care about what he thinks. The harm is already done…”No, don’t worry, I will try helping him and Ana Paula, but promise me to tell me everything, please.” Dany tells him that Ana Paula was at Boredom del Cielo and reunited with her boyfriend-who-became-ex-dead-boyfriend-and-ressurected-later-to-become-her-lover. Bruno is impactado. “The novio Rogelio asked to be murdered?” “Yes, but he’s not dead! She was with him in Boredom del Cielo” Bruno is even more impactado. In Rogelio’s bedroom, he calls for Maria and gives her his list of requests. She thinks he goes for Cinthia and tries to convince him to understand her bla blab la, but he tells her that he needs Hugo fast and Bruno should talk to the captain, because he needs his helicopter. Because driving a car was so yesterday. He says he is going for his wife. Maria is impactada.
Bruno asks Dany if she believes that Ana Paula loves Gustavo or if it’s just an illusion. “Dany, tell me!” Too late, Moron Monobrow Miguel interrupts them and she asks him what happened, but he’s out of this world. Metaphorically speaking, of course, although it wouldn’t hurt if it would be literally also. Maybe some aliens could abduct him. Oh wait, they have nothing to do with his peanut brain. Nanny comes also, tells Hugo to go see Rogelio and asks Bruno for a helicopter, saying out loud that Rogelio is going for Ana Paula. Miguel is impactado. Smart move, Nanny. They could warn Ana Paula in the meantime. Sheesh.
Somewhere near the Duran Mansion
Esteban thanks Mercedes for going with him jogging, she says that he needed that. She says something like he should redo his life, since he’s a wonderful chap, but to be honest, I am a bit distracted by his arms. Oh yeah, he’s fine. He’s not ready for that though. Mercedes suggests Chio (Btw, we have here some chips called Chio and every time I hear her name I think of the chips), but he’s not in the mood for love.
Hacienda
Dany asks the Nanny if Mr. Montero told her who was with Ana Paula and Miguel says she is probably with their aunt. Bruno becomes Captain Obvious for a moment, saying that Rogelio must be desperate to leave, while Dany is calling auntie, who is not answering. Miguel says it’s best if she doesn’t answer since she is sick. Huh??? Dude, go to sleep. Am I evil if I want him to sleep with the fishes? “Maria, tell Rogelio not to bring my sister here. I will do anything. I will become his slave.” Anyone else thinking of that Britney Spears song “I’m a slave…for you”? He starts jumping (literally now!), Dany tries to calm him and goes for the hug and he aggressively pushes her, screaming to let him go, because it’s best for her to stay away from him. Warning! We have a madman here! Dany is impactada
Hotel Lobby & Room
Gustavo still wants to become superman and calls Mercedes to tell her that he wants to bring them to their house for a few days. But again, he leaves her a voice message because she didn’t pick up her phone. If Gus will ever be on “Who wants to be a millionaire”, the ‘Phone a friend’ lifeline won’t help him at all. Ana Paula repeats again that she doesn’t think that it’s a great idea, since Mercedes can’t stand her and that she should look for a pension or something. “No worries!”, says Gus. Auntie calls Bruno and tells him that Ana Paula is in Tuxtla with her, but he shouldn’t tell Miguel anything. Bummer, too late. Bruno is pissed that she did this behind his back and gave Rogelio first the news, since they agreed to be accomplices. She tries to think fast of an appropriate answer and tells him she did that so that he won’t suspect their agreement. Bruno tells her that she should consult him beforehand in everything. Auntie asks him to cut her some slack, because there are more important things to worry about, like the fact that Ana Paula reunited with Gustavo. “That guy is an obstacle! But I have people who can take care of him.”, says Bruno. “Ahh…but it has to be as soon as possible!” “I told you that I will take care of everything! But poor you if you will ever dare to disappear like that again!” “I was looking for Ana Paula. And since Rogelio didn’t give me more money, I couldn’t even load my cell phone’s credit.” “You just look after Ana Paula and give me reports of everything what’s happening.” Rosy grins.
Ana Paula tells Margarito he shouldn’t have picked up the rings. I threw them away, you saw how unpleased Gustavo was!” “But I wasn’t going to let them there thrown. I thought you could use them.” “Yes, Margarito, I understand you, but it’s something I want to bury.” “Well, then, I will keep them and neither you nor Gustavo will see them.” “No no no, by how things look, it should be better to pawn them.”

Bruno calls Rutilio, telling him Gustavo appeared and that he has to finish the job and this time, it has to be something definitive.
Galvan Mansion
Vanesa is happy that Cinthia is with her and thanks her for escaping the hacienda to be with her in these moments. Cinthia tells her that she knows she can’t think of something else and that she doesn’t want to be imprudent, but she thinks Vanesa should take Paula out of Rogelio’s life, unbeknownst to him, of course and that she should offer to pay the required lawyers for the divorce and give her some money to go away. Vanesa doubts they can trust her word.
Duran Maisonnette
Gustavo invites Ana Paula, Rosy and Margaro in. The house is not that big, he says, but they will be comfortable there. Rosy doubts it. “Thank you very much, amor! Thanks for opening the doors of your house to us, that’s very important for me.” Ana Paula, wait until you’ll have to pay the maintenance. Smooch. Auntie is disgusted. He tells them that Ana Paula and Rosy can go upstairs and he will stay there in the living room with Margaro. Wait, why not Margaro and Ana Paula upstairs and Rosy and Gus in the living room? Aaah…I meant Margaro and Rosy…no no…never mind. At this point, I am wondering if I am the only one disturbed that Ana Paula is giving Margaro a bad example by committing adultery in front of his own eyes. This could harm him later…at least they should try to be more subtle.
Auntie doesn’t fell like accommodating her stuff, so she asks them to do it. She finds a chocolate box on the table and eats some. Suddenly, le wild Mercedes appears in her sportswear, asking her what she is doing there and removing the box from her hand. “Oyee, don’t be rude! Didn’t your brother tell you that me, Ana Paula and Margarito will live her for a while?” “WHATT?” Mercedes is impactada (We should have an ‘impactada/o’ drinking game). “That’s right!” Mercedes widely opens her mouth and asks Gustavo for some explanation.
Hacienda
Rogelio asks Hugo to pick up his luggage, because the helicopter is ready. He calls Efrain and asks where they are and he says they are about to go to the church for the ceremony. He tells him that Ana Paula is in Tuxtla, so he should have his eyes wide open in case he spots her somewhere and call him immediately if he does. And of course, total discretion is required. “Not even to señorita Cinthia?” “Much less Cinthia! You follow her and you notify me. Pobre de ti if you fail me Efrain, pobre de ti!”
“Soon you’ll be back with me, Paula. Soon…” Precious dimpled smile from Rogelio. Jorge Salinas is incredible. His face is a mixture of happiness and sadness. Gotta love him.
Duran Maisonnette
“I left you a message on your cell phone! Moreover, it’s only for a few days!” Ana Paula: “I don’t want to cause any trouble! We should leave.” “No way, this house is both mine and Mercedes’ ” “I hope you weren’t expecting me to receive you with open arms after everything you did to my brother! Moreover, now it looks that you are married.” “No…” No? No? Come on, Ana Paula, YOU ARE married, like it or not. Besides, you were the one who went after Rogelio, asking him if his offer to marry her was still available and begging him to transform her into his wife, so don’t deny the obvious. “The things aren’t the way they look like”, she continues. “I will get a divorce and I swear I love your brother.” “But you’re still married to someone else”. Like Mercedes said earlier in this episode, she never had an affair with Ernesto, so Ana Paula should either wait for that year to finish, if she has some decency left (Viewerville is now wanting to burn me on the stake, I know.) or she should wait for the husband to die, as Mercedes did. Well, sort of.
Gus reminds her sister that she also played a role in their separation, because she never told Ana Paula that he was still alive. Although this doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t have fallen in love with Rogelio and marry him anyway. The circumstances accelerated the events, but with Gus dead or alive, she would have returned to the hacienda and with Rogelio’s irresistible charm, anything could have happened. Gus tells Meche that she should apologize; Ana Paula doesn’t want her to. Ana Paula just wants her to understand that she loves Gustavo. Mercedes explains that since AP also has a brother, she knows how it’s like to want to protect your beloved one, so she doesn’t want her to hurt Gus.” “That’s not going to happen! You’ll see that we will be very happy.” “Hija, we should go!”, says auntie, saving us from the cursi territory. They all give her the look. “We don’t have to indulge anybody’s mean looks” Mercedes apologizes and asks them to stay, then leaves. AP tells Gus again (Wow, she’s so repetitive today!) that she doesn’t want to cause any trouble and if it’s necessary, they can leave, but Gus wants to talk to his sis. Auntie agrees that they don’t want trouble.
Tienda de Ulises & Macaria
Dany wants to talk to Maripaz. Maripaz asks her if she wants to tell her that she is together with Miguel again, but she tells her that Miguel is very depressed, because he doesn’t want to go back to jail and he is very worried because Ana Paula isn’t showing up. Wait…I thought he DIDN’T want to see her there for their own sake. She asks Maripaz to go and see him, because she doesn’t know what else to do to cheer him up.
Duran Maisonnette
Gus talks to Esty on the phone, then tells AP that he has to go, because he wants more details about a possible new job. She tells him she will do the same, since she doesn’t want his sister to think that she is lazy. Wait…what happened with the hotel bill? Did they just leave like that?
Tienda
“Are you serious? You are in love with Miguel and you want me to go and see him?” Nooo, don’t do it Mary, he’s a bad influence and a bad influence leads to…a bad romance. Ra ra ra ra ra a roma roma ma ma. “When someone really loves another person, he’ll do whatever he can to make the other one happy! And I am sure that he’ll cheer up when he sees you. I swear I won’t stay in your way. Please, help Miguel.” Maripaz tells her that’s what she wants the most, but her father doesn’t let her get near him. For once in a while, it’s good to be an overprotective father.
Duran Maisonnette
Ana Paula tells Rosy that she will look for a job and Rosy tells AP that she will pawn the ring she loves so much, so that they can pay the lawyers to fight for Fede’s money. “Tia, I already told you to forget about it.” “NEVER!” AP understands that for Vanesa and her mother it’s difficult to accept her, but they don’t have to accept her, Rosy says. It’s enough if they just give her the money which belongs to her. Rosy says that’s the only way to solve their problems, because she needs money to face Rogelio and divorce him, since with the money he has, you don’t know what he can do. And if she has financial security, she can give herself a chance with Gustavo. Rosy really knows people’s weak spots.
Galvan Mansion
Cinthia asks Efrain to stop interrupting every time he sees her with David, since there can’t be anything serious between them. “But I wasn’t asking for you, but for something that the patron gave me do to. He’s coming here.” Cinthia gets frightened, asks him if he’s coming for her, but he tells her that he’ll come for his wife who is in Tuxtla. You traitor! “Discretion” certainly isn’t up there in his vocabulary. Cinthia is impactada.
Duran Maisonnette
Meche asks Rosy where Gus is. She tells her he went to look for a job and so did AP, to prove that they aren’t beggars. “Señora, I already explained to you what I think. And don’t you believe I have reasons to act like that?” “To be honest, yes! And I’m very sorry. I love my niece with all my heart, but I don’t understand her. I know she loves Gustavo very much, but she also likes to live like a queen.” “Well then, she should think better, because my brother isn’t a millionaire; he lives of his work. Umm…not even that. “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell her, but she’s never satisfied.” “What do you mean by that?” “Well, enough. It’s better to know it once and for all. That guy you saw her with the night of her graduation…” “Yes! The man she married with!” “Oh no, she dumped that poor guy also.” “Wait…let’s see…what?” “Yess, she was about to marry him, but no. She found someone else with more money and moreover, ill. So she preferred to marry him.” Mercedes shakes her head.

“My father is gone”, says Vanesa. “Yes, mi love! But we have to move forward and take care of what he left us. And now THAT Ana Paula won’t be able to prove that she is his daughter!” Hey, wait, that sound is familiar. It’s Rogelio’s wheelchair. Yay! Rogelio is there! “Buenas noches! Elsa, Vanesa, my sincere condolences.” “Rogelio! You were the last person I was expecting to see here!”, says Elsa. “Federico was my friend and associate; how could you think that I wouldn’t come to give you my condolences?” “Your friend?? You dumped our daughter before the altar. Do you think I forget what you did?” “Mother, let us talk, please!” Rogelio apologizes for not coming earlier and Vanesa tells him she knows that, since Cinthia told her he was very busy looking for his wife. “Did you find her?” “Not yet, but you can be sure that I will!” Wouldn’t it be better for you to forget about her? Please Rogelio, you already got even with me and you also suffered because of that woman who ridiculed you!” “You are talking about my wife!” “You can’t get back with her. She doesn’t love you, while we love each other. Rogelio, let’s give each other a new chance.”

If the others on my etiquette forum watched this series we'd be roasting Tia MentiRosa right now. Her behavior in the Duran household was beyond rude.
Cupcake showed herself to be more civilized than Vainessa in her refusal to hit back, although I think that was the wrong tactic. There was a moment in which it looked as though she had succeeded in confusing Vainessa into reality but that was too much to hope for.
And while it looked like Vainessa was cruel to Esteban, he's way better off without her. He'd be better off in a monastery.
David is a bigger creep than we thought.

I thought the scene between AP with Tia and Vainessa was great. Those looks of confusion on Vainessa's face were priceless! Very fun.

Thank you Alexandra for the great great recap, so detailed. Vainy and the Cupcake argument, it was like going around in circles. Please beleive me, I don't beleive you on and on. But I really think that when the Cupcake told Vainy she didn't want the money, for a second there I thought Vainy beleived her, just for a second. Then the Tia ruined it. Too bad Vainy just didn't shut her piehole long enough for the Cupcake to explain about the contract.
That Tia made me laugh when she took Mersnotty's chocolates and was eating them and then Mersnotty grabbed the box back.
I think Miguel was on his knees in front of Rohell cause he is desperate. I am not the fan of Miguel and his drinking, and going to prison for an accident that wasn't his fault, the other car remember ran him off the road, and being railroaded again is really scary for him.
So now Sin knows who the Cupcake really is. She was so shocked. And Lord Shadydeals can't keep his hands to himself. I thought he was trying to hustle the Vainy one. Effer always shows up at the right time.
Rohell really surprised me by being so tender with Dani. He didn't threaten her like he does with everyone else when he wants info. I see his suffering, being without the Cupcake, but how will he treat her once he finds her.
And now the Guscake is in danger again. I am hoping Skelator doesn't succeed in killing him.

One of the things I find consistently amusing about this storyline is how both Sin and Vain think that Rohell is some helpless doofus who was tricked or seduced by the Cupcake. Do they even know him, that they could think that? What made them think that he wasn't doing exactly what HE wanted to do when he married the Cupcake?
Also it's amusing how Tia paints Cupcake's marriage to Mersnotty: That AP dumped the one guy (Bruno) for a much richer man who is very ill. This paints a picture in Mersnotty's mind of a feeble, trembling old rich man, already close to being on his deathbed, being easily fooled and manipulated by gold digger Ana Paula. Imagine how surprised Mersnotty will be when she discovers that the rich man she assumed was easily manipulated and "very ill" is none other than dimpled hottie Rohell on wheels, someone who knows exactly what he wants and goes after it.
I absolutely LOVE Tia. She and Rohell steal the show. She was hilarious in this episode when she went for the candies at Gus's house with gusto, and then yanked them back from Mersnotty. And the conversation between Tia and Rohell, where Tia is negotiating for a better deal, also priceless. I always love any scenes that these two have together.

Oh, and I'm not so hard on Miguel. True, he is the Weakest Link, and pretty loserific when he is embracing his drunken lifestyle, but when/if he can straighten himself out, he's a pretty talented carpenter. If he would go to AA, maybe take some medication for his depression, and most of all, not be yelled at all the time by Rohell, he might be a lot better.
I understand WHY Miguel begs Rohell to let the Cupcake go, and WHY Miguel offers himself in exchange for the Cupcake, but seriously, does Miguel think it'll work? He has to know that Rohell is seriously hooked on the Cupcake and nothing can "replace" her.

Alexandra: the recappers (past and present) on Caray are without exception, the brightest, most talented, creative and clever writers to be found. Anywhere. Period. Everyone has their own individual style, unique and special. The recaps continue to set and maintain the highest standard daily. That said, this ranks as exceptional. Truly. What an amazing job.
I'm not going to list my favorite lines - there were too many. The tone you set, the conversation tranlations and humor were sensational. I'm in awe. Thank you!
US, I agree that while cruel in the delivery, at least Vainessa released Esteban who is better off, if even by himself. Not that I'd imagine him being alone too long - unfathomable considering his looks and personality.
I did feel for Rogelio, especially the pain he has yet to feel when he finds out what happens.

US, I agree that while cruel in the delivery, at least Vainessa released Esteban who is better off, if even by himself. Not that I'd imagine him being alone too long - unfathomable considering his looks and personality.

I loved Rogelio's comment about Ana Paula having all the courage in that family. No wonder he wants her.

Cupcake and Gustavo have a lot of growing up to do. Both are naive and see things in black-and-white terms. Vainessa is one force that is making Cupcake grow up, but there will need to be another so that she will see that Rogelio isn't a murderer and that Skelator is a manipulator.
And when she realizes what Tia MentiRosa is really about she will feel like a prize idiot.

I'm late to this party but wanted to say thanks cuz I kept dozing off and missed a few choice lines that you filled in--and very humorously I might say! LOL!
Thank you for your replies, I'll try to respond to all of you. And apologizes to those who couldn't find the other recaps because of mines, I edited both, adding the links to the other tnvs of that day, so that nobody hits me with the tomatoes. I didn't know they would end up on other page.
@Urban: Tia MentiRosa is manipulative and hypocrite, but she knows how to get what she wants. I should take her with me whenever I will want to win a price negotiation lol. At least she is a Rogeliana, by helping Rogelio to put an end to AP's misery...I mean romance. That's what I thought about Vanesa vs AP. Maybe if Rosy wouldn't have showed up, AP would have managed to somewhat convince her. But now she's against her sis thanks to Cinthia and Auntie.
Vanesa, while cruel on several ocassions, at least tells the truth. It would be useless to give Esteban hopes, if she knows she can't give him what he wants. And David was pretty creepy. Even though Cinthia rejected him because of other reasons, it really wasn't the time for that.
AP is just too naive, I think it will take her some time to find out who her auntie really is. Rogelio is one of the few who knows her real nature, but even if he would tell Cupcake the truth, she doesn't trust him anymore *meh.

@Madelaine Thank you! That argument was a no win-no win situation, everybody sticking to their own truth. Tia and AP both ruined each others’ plans. The chocolates bit was funny indeed, but Mercedes’ look when she saw them there was priceless. Miguel has no dignity, he should be a man and take responsibility for what he did. David tried to help him by giving him an important assignment, since he was well-recommended and even told him to get some sleep – still, he was yawning when he was driving.
Rogelio’s approach was really sweet; he knows how to treat ladies when he wants to and for a moment, I think Dani did believe that he didn’t try to kill Gustavo. At least she listened to him. He was just hurt and worried. If Gus would get killed, I think he would always be following AP and Rogelio like a shadow. The best thing for him would be to give someone else a chance and forget about AP.

Miguel is on the verge of becoming a lost cause. I liked Rogelio’s line about him not having half the balls Ana Paula has, although I never quite liked her bossy attitude. I think all the baddies are entertaining: Efrain, Cinthia, Rosy and Bruno. Not to mention that the guy who was supposed to be a villain (Rogelio),is our sweetheart lol.

@Elvira Thank you, darling! I am a woman and I can’t help it. It’s their fault for stuffing LQNPA with hotties lol. I don’t know why they would think he is so naïve, but I guess their hate for AP is so big that in their minds, they think of her as the ultimate villain. Hahaha that “very ill” move was a nice one. Now Mersnotty thinks she’s a maneater – after all, why would her dear auntie lie about something like that? When she’ll see Mr. HotWheels, she’ll understand exactly AP dumped Bruno, although he is mighty fine too.

@Pirate Babe Thank you, fellow Rogeliana! That’s what I think also. Rogelio could use a better person who is less divided, less naïve and with more principles. Apart from AP, Gus doesn’t seem to have too much of a life. We saw him at work in the first episodes, but then he just changed his priorities. No wonder Mr. Rejected Card is pretty much penniless these days. I bet he felt so pissed when he saw Mr. HotWheels’ rings: “S**t, those rings are more expensive than anything I have in my house!”. Yay, thanks for agreeing with me. I just felt it was wrong for the boy to witness all this and moreover – think this is right. That’s what bugs me – that AP washed his brain so much, that he is already traumatized and that she lets him think that what she is doing is OK. At least Rogelio never pretended to be a role model and did try to teach him an important lesson: to be his own man (The Tree of Life reference here ). While his methods weren’t exactly the best, I think the boy would learn more positive things from Mr. HotWheels in a good mood than from AP.

I learned Spanish watching subtitled telenovelas, since in my country, they don’t dub them. Although the Spanish grammar is pretty straightforward, meaning that just like in my language, which is mainly a Latin one also, you write what you hear, I did improve my writing by frequenting forums. I watched LQNPA the entire time without any subtitles and recently, they started showing it in my country also. Curiously enough, we are now at the first phase of the ASESINO period.

It will take a lot to convince her about auntie’s true nature and only someone close to her could convince her about the way she really is; otherwise auntie could always come up with excuses for her behavior.
@Anonymous HAHAHA loved your Satan’s minion comment. I just thought that was such a random move. Three people fighting, let’s just light up a candle and prey that those two will be silenced. Oh no, we need auntie. At least she is on Mr. HotWheels (I like how it sounds, I think I am going to stick with that name for Rogelio lol) side, so she is the Rogelianas’ ally for the moment and she is one of the few close to AP who could make her reason.
