Was it a Chevy, Blue Lass? I tried to determine the type of SUV but I could not from a distance.

If there is amnesia...I wonder if Mariana has remarried? Has children? Has forgotten that she wasn't in love with Pedro? O my, so many possibilities with this tired plot device.

If they keep up the improved writing and direction I can hardly wait.

EJ, I'm afraid wouldn't know a Chevy if I fell over one; I just picked that up off of yesterday's thread.

But today I will be watching for sure! Hope to get a glimpse of the new, not-exactly-twin Nájera cousin (although God help us if *he* wants to take his shirt off, too.)
 

Ok all here is the recap for today.
The title for today is Rennie tells the truth, an arrest, and no Mariana yet.

We open with El Viral still saying she doesn't beleive that Rennie only married her for the money and she wants to talk to him herself.

The police capital tells Rita he knows she is a con artist along with Rennie and that he knows Rita is not Rennie's neice and he will be keeping an eye on them.

He leaves and El Viral decides she wants to ask Rennie if he really married her for the money, so El Viral, Tony and Cameela go back to the apartment and El Viral asks for the truth. Rennie finally tells her, yeah I just married you for the money and never loved you at all. El Viral just can't beleive it. Rennie wants her to get out and take Tony and Cameela with her. El Viral says I am not leaving without my things. Well Rennie gets her things and tells her again to get out and never come back. She is really ticked off and decides this is HER apartment and she isn't leaving. Rennie says like heck, he admits that this is his apartment and not Rita's. They have to hold El Viral back from hitting him, she tells Tony and Cameela she is crazy to have beleived Rennie and she is not leaving. Rennie tries to manhandle El Viral and Cameela comes to her rescue and he shoves them. The fight ends up in the hall and Tony knocks him out. The police capitan hasn't left the building and he has two officers arrest Tony. Rennie and El Viral are taken to the hospital.
 

Tony is thrown into the carcel. The police Capitan tell him he could be in some serious trouble and Tony tells him, hey I'm a Negret and I'll be out with the help of my lawyers soon. The lawyer meets with Tony and Tony tells him it was self defense.

Margarito and his friend the other mover talk about Mariana. Margarito says Pedro should know about this so he can divorce Mariana and marry Cameela the love of his life. His friend asks him how he is going to find Mariana again. He doesn't know
 

Tracey goes to see Geno to see if she has heard from Cameela. Geno says no, and Tracey says she is very worried cause Cameela went to see Rennie who is a very bad man.

Also Tracey and another lady are dusting F1 and F2's room, when Tracey happens to look at the computer screen, don't know what was on there, either porn or sex shopping stuff, anyway Doris hears them talking, goes to look at the computer screen and swears them into keeping quiet.

F1 and F2 are outside what looks like a Fredrick's of Hollywoood shop and don't have the guts to go in. A friend of their's comes by and asks what they are doing there. They lie and say looking for a job. The friend doesn't beleive them.
 

The friend has a talk with them at her house about sexual maneuvers. Didn't get most of that conversation,but it sounded like technique lol.

Meanwhile, Pedro goes to see the Dr. that treated Mariana and tells him about Rennie and the check and that Mariana's accounts have never been touched. Dr tells Pedro accept the fact that Mariana is dead and move on.

Geno and Cameela are at the hospital and Army is on his way cause Cameela called him. Pedro runs into Cameela and Geno and they argue about Tony and Loocrazy I think. Army gets there and gets between them and Pedro leaves.
 

EJ, Mariana is not in love with Pedro. Pedro loves his wife like a sister and married her as a favor.

Mariana, thanks for another recap. I have a hard time understanding Cami when she starts that rapid fire speech.

Rita is in Rennie's hospital room. He is hooked up to all kinds of machines and is unconcious. She is ranting and raving at him, when in comes Mr Rich guy who "they borrowed the house from". Rita is complaining about her Uncle blah blah Mr Rich Guy tells Rita anything for you Mi Amor and tells her he will pay for everything and gives her a wad of cash. She gives him the stinkeye behind his back.

Meanwhile, Loocrazy and Pigorio are meeting about the will. Piggy wanted Tony to be there, but he can't be reached. Piggy tells Loocrazy oh, here is the will all notarized and legal and you and Tony get nothing capiche? She says yeah right, she beleives Tony and will have this will investigated.
 

Loocrazy is waiting in bed for Pedro and he tells her basically not tonight honey and she goes. I think it is the next day and he is drawing up plans for the orphange.

Geno has brought Cameela her things and Cameela and Army have camped out in El Viral's hospital room. Their Tia comes in the morning and commiserates with them.
They tell her everything that has happened.

Rita goes to see Tony in the carcel. And that is how we end.
 

I may have missed some things so please correct, fill in what I missed or got wrong.
 

Oh, I forgot to add that the doctor tells Pedro he has heard from Margarito and that he is fine and in LA. Pedro I think tells him that he can't beleive he abandoned Claudio all those years ago and I think he wants to talk to Margarito and glad he is doing fine.

- his smile as they pull him off Renato. This guy loves his brawls.
- his sweet, soft voice he reserves for Camila
- looking under the table at Rita's legs, probably wondering, like we do, if she forgot the pants to go with the blouse

Catwoman giving the F sisters advise, maybe like "just wait til Halloween and you can stock up on all sorts of recamara outfits".

Hi Rosemary la Primera:

I used a double negative in this sentence and I think I sounded even more confused than I am.

I said, "I wonder if Mariana...Has forgotten that she wasn't in love with Pedro?"

What I was trying to communicate was that if Mariana has amnesia, she may not remember the circumstances of her marriage to Pedro. She could take one look at him and, forgetting that he is like a brother to her, decide he is pretty hot stuff for a husband. In other words, she might forget that she *wasn't" in love with him, causing huge complications in his relationships with either Cameeela or Lucrazy.

Some days I have the worst time communicating my ideas clearly...Jajajaja.

EJ, I see your point and I also see many possibilities for more twists and turns.

Just finished watching -- what fun! (Other than the whole Fabiola-of-Hollywood thing, which was just shudder-inducing.) Did you get a load of Antonio's expression when he knocked Renato out? The cops were putting him in cuffs, and he had this smile of pure delight on his face, like someone had just given him a shiny new toy.

Oh, and here's a fun fact: Elvira's sister is a shrink! She was thought-bubbling about it in th hospital. If there was ever a cast that needed a shrink, it's this one...

Thanks Maddi, for another most excellent recap. This show is finally picking up the pace.
I missed seeing Tony put the smack down on Renato but when I walked back in the room and saw Ren down for the count and Tony delighted with himself it was obvious.
I hope Meester Renato and Elvibora end up in the same rehab, unable to communicate to the staff that, yes they are married but they loathe each other. Put 'em in the same room, make them do all of their exercises together, keep their wheelchairs touching and fold their hands together. Oh yeah, I'd watch that!
 

Madelaine, thank you for the stupendous recap of a, dare I say it, exciting episode.

Bwahahah! I loved how Tony told Elvira that half of everything Rennie owned belonged to her. For once I cheered Antonio. Then I laughed out loud at his glee over punching Renato. Aaron honey, you made my afternoon. (He called his lawyer Mi Lic, LOL!)

I'm liking Rita and her behind-the-back stinkeyes. She's pretty quick at hiding her scowls. If I were Rita I would dump Renato and hook up with Oscar, but it kind of looks like she might set her sights on Tony. Good luck with that Rita.

How did Elvira end up in the hospital? I guess she had some kind of breakdown right?

Is Armani ever going to change his diver-with-speargun shirt?

I almost snorted tea out my nose at the sexual technique tutorial by Sarita. That Sarita's got some skillz. Apparently she even showed the girls her costumes!

Tia Maria is a shrink? Perfect!! She's going to be very busy in Fresno.

Emilia, I like your plot idea for Renato and Elvira. If ever any two people deserved each other...

Sounds like I have a lot to look forward to.

Sarita's coaching the girls? Well, that's certainly setting them up for something. I hope it's hilarious. It reminds me, though, we never did find out Doris's methods for getting a man to agree to anything you want. Maybe she and Sarita should get together and compare notes.

Cap'n yeah I think El Viral had a breakdown, she couldn't stop crying and they never showed she was in the hospital until they showed Renato first. She certainly looks like she had a breakdown.

Thanks Blue Lass for the Marina is a shrink. I missed that. El Viral really needs her especially now that she wants to go to the manicomio.

Oh, and Cap'n I thought Rita was coming on to Tonio but wasn't completely sure. She sure looked like she wanted to eat him up lol.
 

Welcome sfchicabonita. I am glad people are sticking with this one. It has done a 180 in the last week or so. It is dare I say it, getting really good!
 

Yes it is getting good. This episode set a new high. There was still a little to much blah blah blah in Rennie's apartment and between Pedro and the doc, but the script is wayyyyyy better than before.

Rita made a comment earlier in the episode that she thought Camila's novio was pretty hot. Than later she showed up at the jail. In some ways she and Tony would be perfect, kind of like two piranhas stuck together in one bowl.

Oh, and I recall Tony telling his Lic that he wanted to stay in jail for a couple of days. No doubt for the pity factor. Tony, you cad you!

I thought of a good drinking game today. We take a shot of tequila every time LuKrazia calls Pedro Mi Amor. Of course we'll all get tanked so better not be on a school night.

For those who prefer something healthier we could do 25 situps every time she says it. We'll all have six-packs by the time this show is over.
 

Thanks Madelaine, this is great. Yes, I too think that the writing has improved considerably. Tony certainly stole the show today.

I cracked up at Sarita's tutorial for the girls. Did any of that make sense to anyone? I so hope that Fab decides to go with dress up.

I also enjoyed Lu's chat with Dad about the will. She may be smarter than we think, planning to check the authenticity of the notary.

Nice to see that Antonio has some use (besides as window dressing). He may have single-handedly figured out Elvira can get even with Renato! Good for him. I hope she gets the apartment and then gives it to Armando. If the brunette nieta (still can't get them straight) is taking lessons from Sarita, he's going to need some place with privacy. Sharing the hotel with his mother is just not going to cut it.

Still no sign of the "twin" cousin though.

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments and your help. I do miss some things, especially when they talk fast or mumble. Love Tonio's expressions, most of them are a hoot, and also like Rita's stinkeye when anyone's back is turned and she sometimes mimics. I just love how everthing is finally coming together as a cohesive story instead of being all over the place. I will keep doing these for y'all to enjoy.
 

Wait a minute: has *anyone* seen the lookalike cousin? Or was he just referred to on-screen? Now I'm wondering if the same actor is going to play both...(he'll need some more shirts.)
 

Unless I hallucinated it (which is entirely possible), we saw the cousin. He was talking with his mother about going to Fresno. He is not the same actor, unless they disguised him pretty well. But he does look similar.

Carlos--Lucrecia did have that look on her face that said, we'll see, when she left the office about the notary. But you saw how quick Greggio snatched the document out of her hands and declared they are just details. He had that smirk on his face, like he just won a round of crazy eights. Hope Lulu remembers to follow up.

Cap'n--If you hadn't caught it, I would have shared that moment with readers when Antonio told his attorney not to hurry with getting him out--a couple of days would be ok. Mi Lic couldn't figure it out, but we can. He's expecting Camila to come visit him. After her conversation with Pedro in the hospital, I think she will.

About Army and the shirt--it could be that a whole day hasn't gone by yet and that's why he still has his diver t-shirt on. But he does tend to sleep in his day clothes.

For someone who got his lights turned off by Antonio, Renato doesn't look very banged up. Maybe the make-up dept. ran out of purple magic marker and Hershey's chocolate syrup.

Yep, things *are* moving a lot quicker these days. Glad we have tia and primo to entertain us. Glad Margarito is coming back. He was nice to look at. Pretty sure Mariana is going to come back, although doc gave Pedro a pretty good talking to trying to convince him that he's delusional if he thinks Mariana is still alive.

Cap'n--about Lulu's Mi Amor. As editor of FUG, I do not promote excessive drinking as is sure to happen if we take a swig after every Mi Amor. In fact, this editor is likely to keep on gagging every time she says it. Sit ups are ok, but it's hard to do and concentrate on the screen and the conversation while I huff and puff.

I just want to let you all know I won't have wi-fi from Friday morning until Sunday sometime. I can't remember if Anita was going to do a recap or not, but if someone could post a header for Friday's episode that would be great. Blue Lass might have already planned to do this, she is usually johnny-on-the-spot with this stuff.

Oh, and I did see the cousin. He's definitely out there.

Thanks, Julia and Sylvia, for confirming the not-Armando sighting. I always find it interesting to watch the technique when an actor plays two parts, but I'm not sure I want to see any more of this particular actor. Of course I might like him better in a different role -- *if* he kept his shirt on.

I'd be happy to put up a header for today's epi. What's the protocol on timing? I figure people don't expect to see it until after the show airs -- so, early afternoon?
