Marta, I love your HOT HOT HOT theme. You are very observant and it was fun that you pointed out all the HOT in tonight's habanero heat wave. Temperature, lust, anger, capsicum, yes it was pretty darn spicy in La Ermita.

I liked this episode because so much stuff happened. I couldn't believe that Kenia admitted her part in the plot so quickly. And Damian caught Flo kissing Enrique! Oh the scandal.

Judging by the way Augusto ogled Kenia I would say the guy is smitten. Remember, he likes them young. Marta, funny comment about Kenia finding the cenote.

Man, Unkahunk and the Cheet-ho sure didn't waste any time, did they? With Gabino sneaking around I'd say the love nest is anything but private. I laughed when Paolo looked around before going in the door, while right behind him was his big, unique motorcycle pretty much announcing who was inside.

Marta, thank you for the stupendous recap and for translating the conversation between Gael, Damian and Kenia. I like how things are moving right along.
 

Hot Hot Hot is right! And this was one HOT recap Marta.(Love the placement of fans and signs of folks melting in the heat to go with the antics).

And I would just like to say to the writers--even though I had to deal with the Tangerine Guppy, I would like to thank you for the moments of Paolo finery. We ladies appreciate the viewing.

I'm really starting to get into the Gael/Elisa corner even though I'm sure they aren't "destined" for each other. LOVED how he just immediately jumped in to defend her when Kenia started with the reputation stuff. It's almost painful to watch how much he loves her. I do like Lucio's ‘that which is forbidden is most attractive’. Can it bode to Gael maybe having a chance? Not that I don't like Damian, but....

As for Flo--what a stupido. She picks the stables to meet QuiQui in? And were any other former Llena watchers having a "yes!" moment when she ran into Horacio in the stables? Still would have been fun to see these two togther. They do have chemistry. (Lot more than her and QuiQui).

So not only do we have to watch Assgusto being, well, an A**, but now he's going to become a creepy stalker with Kenia? I'm feeling ill at the thought. And for a moment there, I thought HE was going to shed the shirt for a dip in the pool. Shades of Dr. KeeptheshirtOn from Cuando. There are just some actors that we should NOT have gratuitous shirtless scenes from.

And will someone stop making GABINO so complex? We're not suppose to like him, and then he shows this tender, caring stuff and gees, you want to hug those biceps and try to make him reform.(Or just hug the biceps)

And we had another tear-free episode. They were Allllmooosssst there a few times, but, damn, our girl is getting stronger and keeping it togther. So proud, and thankful. Now the kleenex concession will have to rely on Flo.

So Dam throws out Flo, but Mumsy just loaned Queeeddooo big bucks, and Paolo is squeezing the orange juice and won't want to leave town. I really want to see how in the world the plot keeps Flo around. This should be good...
 

Awesome job, Marta. You really had me going! I was reliving that terrific episode all over again and it was MAHvelous. :)

The HOT HOT HOT theme sure hit the nail on the head, especially when it came to Oroach-Ho (ahahahaha what a name! heheh). Man! It was like watching a game of Musical Chairs between her and all the studs in her stable. First she's sliding all over Pao, then her next scene was with GABINO, then her next scene was with GABINO and Doc Tovar, then she was alone with Doc Tovar, then GABINO and Pao were in the same office... We can barely go a scene without stumbling over Carmina's bed buddies now. Cut back on your boinkin', woman! LOL

Speaking of non-boinkin'... I don't think I've ever seen Augie so drunk and messed up. I did feel a little sad for him, I really did. But then Elisa being slapped to the ground by him in public and visions of poor Stefy's pauper's grave always come up and I'm over it. When he was walking through the fields with his horse was when I suddenly realized HE was going to be watching Kenia at the cenote and I about fell on my @ss. That was one odd scene and I really don't want to contemplate what it meant!

Princess Pea has become such an irritating gnat to me that I found myself drifting off into the Etherworld every time she came on screen. Her voice would just melt away into a high pitched, mosquito-like buzz... mzzz mz, mz mz mzzz, mzzzzzzzzzzzz... and suddenly I'd be shaking myself out of a trance because the scene had finally changed. I never thought in a million years that Dah-mi-yang would actually turn that corner and find her tickling Rique's tonsils! Holy cannoli! The writers have had me drinking celebratory champagne for three nights straight! Whodathunk.

I agree with you, Marta, abut that "caring GABINO" bidnez. You know he should have told Carmina OMG how inconvenient. I'll help you up but if you're hurt you did it.

Thank you Kenia, for getting on your mama's nerves and for telling on Princess Pea! Love it.

Damian had heard enough through the ep about her scheme with Kenya about the pregnancy test and about her faking not being able to walk, which will really prove to also have been a prank now... otherwise why would Flo be waltzing around the horse stables on her own (or even worse, with Rique)... when she actually kissed him and Damian actually saw them i could not help but remember that song about 'I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus!', except it was more 'I caught honey kissing diddle-DUMB!'
 

Absolutely fabulous recap Marta. I really needed the detailed conversations too because I had guests over last night, who kept interjecting questions and making me miss all the details.

The only problem with Elisa and Gael giving it a go is how it will make a Paloma feel. They are really setting it up for Pal to feel betrayed by Elisa if she attempts to date Gael, and for Gael to feel betrayed by Damian if he and Elisa decide to give it a go. It might be good for Gael to get his Elisa feelings out of his system by actually dating her and seeing that it doesn't work. Then he'll be ready to open his eyes and heart to someone else (Paloma). Looks like Kenia will take on the role of matchmaker for her brother. She's getting really protective of him.

Kenia did look lovely bathing in her tube top and boy shorts. I don't blame Augie for sneaking a peek.

Was so happy when Flor got busted. I have no idea how she's going to be able to stick around now.

I have a question about the blue love bungalow. Who owns it? In the old days didn't Gabino rent it for Rosendo's love trysts? And now, 15 years later, it is still ready to go, looking like a cleaning service just came through? Is Gabino still renting it? From your recap, Marta, it sounds like Cheet-ho said she "inherited" it.

I hope Dam gets a flashback like Elisa's been having of late and remembers Rosendo and Cheet-ho coming out of the blue house.

I love this TN because something big happens every night. Come on, Dam, kick Flo's a** out and don't let her back in! And while you're at it, fire Paolo! That computer isn't fooling anyone. He's either on Facebook or surfing porn all day. Does he really deserve an office while others more deserving (Braulio) are performing backbreaking labor?

as far as the love bungalou, i have a feeling it might be in Carmina'sname or still in Rosie's name (dont remember if Rosendo said whose name it was in). Surely it is NOT in Gabino's name so Carmina knows he can't overrule her. They know too much dirt on each other so they both act like they own it, but chances are it is not in either of their names.

Katy, that is how i like to think of Horacio here... he is silently gathering info on Gabino, Carmina and Flo, and will probably prove to be a noble guy after all when he needs to to save the good guys. that is my hope for him... i know Lolita cares about him but still loves Braulio so we have to find someone else for him, if he does not sacrifice his own life in the end.

Lots of eye candy in this. So many beautiful eyes! Kenia's eyes just blow me away. I thought they did a lovely job with the Cenote scene, except for the peeping Toad part!

I am firmly in the I HEART Gael club! For me, Mark Tacher was a turn off in TDA, but I am in love with his Gael character. He is adorable, and the acting sublime. I also adore the lovely Paloma. I just want each of them to be happy :-).

Happy to see many more Horacio/Flo fans. It was amazing how that quick screen time with them just exuded such sparks! So I'm willing to sign the petition for a future pairing. I mean the show is still in production with lord knows how many episodes, there's a chance we could see that happen. She and QuiQui leave me cold. (And can I say that was one lame kiss she planted on the poor guy--Horacio needs to show her how it's really done.)

And though I would like to think Assgusto was just drunk and watching a sweet young thing swimming, there was too high a creepy factor there that leaves me to believe they will go with if he sees her lithe little bod strolling in town, he'll get to stalking her or show interest...double-yish. What do you think Ingrid could do to Kenia? Kill her? She already left her in the dust on the side of the road after a motorcycle accident! Gawd, what a dreadful woman!

Marta, on this part:

"As she is about to hang up Elisa comes over and questions her talking in whisper on phone… no was not spying on you but I do find it strange… Oroach-Ho tells her that the call was from Paolo and that she was whispering because she just did not want DeadBrain to find out he called."

Doesn't it seem like the Toxic Tia made a mistake here, telling Elisa that she was talking to Paolo?

I LOVED this section:

"Another one who is feeling Ermita Habanero-heat stroke is UnkaHunk (shirtless! I was missing that feature of this novela already)… he and Roach-HO are playing around at the little blue house that used to be her meeting place with Rosie."

At least here Paolo is playing with someone his own size (age).

Finally I cannot tell youhow grossed out I am by Augusto's accidental 'peeping Tom" routine. I know my friend Cynderella will think me judgemental, but the whole scene smacked of leering inappropriate behavior. Kudos to the filming, direction and acting of Camacho. I find Augusto positively loathsome.

I think they could have left all the Estefans off the list and added Livia (Paloma) and a few other of our telenovela guys and gals. Livia should have been added since she is a breakout star, has been in two big telenovelas back to back, and she's gorgeous. I'm glad to see many of our Uni/Televisa and Telemundo stars on the list.

Damian learned Flo & Quickie have been kissing behind his back.

Damian learned Alfonsina had Flo's Xrays and diagnosis all along.

Damian learned Florencia used Kenia's pee to fake the pregnancy test.

Elisa learned Lucio went to Damian for help with the greenhouse.

I think Gael would be even more glad to implement some brotherly protection on Kenya around UnkaHunk.. what better reason.. after all Gael knows that UnkaHunk is the one that abused a young Kenya and left her with bun in oven only to ignore/reject her later. And when Gael finds out she is his half sister, UnkaHunk better run and hide... just about the only woman in town he will be able to approach will be Cucaracha herself.
 

I didn't see Augie as a creepy stalker. He wasn't following Kenia, he didn't even know she was there or who she was. I think almost any man would have stopped and stared at a beautiful young girl swimming in the pond.

Damian & Elisa are end game but they're not ready for each other yet. Damian needs to become his own man, away from the manipulations of his mother and Elisa needs to develop a backbone.

Man, you guys are cracking me up today. I breezed right past that Mark Tacher picture ("create in me a clean heart, o God") and was mainly concerned that my telenovio Fernando Colunga was not included this year. And yeah, some of the pics were clearly political, not based on actual beauty or hunkiness.

Marta, another masterpiece of detail and humor. Best part, simply dismissing Paolo's initial move as Disgusting. Yep, 'nuff said. He is such a creep, I can barely stand to watch him take off his shirt. Barely. Now for some reason, Gabino doesn't bother me. He can stay permanently shirtless for all I care. And even that hand bandanna is okay. Thought Gab's other "tender moment", other than hovering over Toxic Waste's injured ankle, was his nervous brushing off of Ingrid's counterpane, where he'd been resting with his boots on it (previous episode). Like a guilty little boy wiping his feet when Mom appears. POOR BABY! Know he won't be redeemed. Too many murders on his docket. But let's remember, Florencia hasn't killed anyone yet (Carlos' Redemption Rules) so she may come out golden and forgiven at the end. But let's get her out of town now.

Assgusto...yes, creepy. But understandable in his befuddled, hungover state. And those sweat marks on his shirt were for real. Ugh.

problem here is Elisa and Paloma ONLY had Gael around while growing up... and he was the only one protecting Elisa from virtually the rest of the world (I still giggle at the 'senoras! ... buenas noches!... con todo el respeto (splash!!) viejas chismosas!! scene) so the feelings can easily be getting very confused between love and protector.. i am with vivi, let Gael and Elisa hook up so he can put his feelings in order.
As far as Elisa and Damian... I do believe she loves him, but he keeps playing on the 'on again off again' see-saw ... he better climb down from the see-saw, decide and stick to his guns... or he will end up empty handed.

Great point Rosemary. But like with dear old dad, Elisa suffers because she is the living reminder of what Alfi and Assgusto THINK happened with Steph and Rosendo. I think she would still do anything to keep Elisa away from her son. If she backs Flo, that will have to be one whopper of a tale they feed Damian.

Oh, and I'm kind of digging the "Film Noir" Juan Soler pic. These yearly 50 by People always crack me up since they are pretty much based on who is the flavors of the year (who has shows, who has hit songs, who is the sports stars of that year). There are always obvious omissions that make you think "what, they suddenly got ugly?" but it's just because they are off the radar for that year.
I too would have liked to see Colunga and Lanus, but no show, no inclusion.
 

Well, Carlos has not explicitly stated any other rules, that I know of, but it helps to be gorgeous.

Still, Horacio is definitely eliminated...unless he dies after revealing the truth or saving somebody's life himself. Needs to be a deathbed conversion though for our lad to go out in glory. No chance of a happily-ever-after with Lolita after throwing that firebomb in Blanca's place of bidness.

what drives Gabino?... power, money.. i think he enjoys harassing Oroach-Ho, Ingrid (possible exception) and Tonita but i dont think he really would think twice about trying to keep any of them.
what drives UnkaHunk? ... MONY + the need for speed and the need for lust? again, don't think he would really fall for any of the women for real, its more like wanting to add them to his list of 'been there done that'
 

Daisynjay- Yes, the list is definitely who's hot (who's been in the media a lot lately and has had a recent project/show/album/scandal), in addition to being pretty/handsome/admired. That's why I can't understand why the Estefans are on the list. Gloria is lovely, but what has she done lately? Ditto for her hubby and sis-in-law Lily.
 

Rape, murder, and dissing your mother/person who raised you are the irredeemable crimes in TNs as far as I know. There is probably also something about cruelty to a child, but I'm not sure of the details.

If you go out in a blaze of self-sacrificing glory, you can have a last minute redemption of said crimes, but it's still end of life for you!

I would also look at the SIZE of thier hands and the SIZE of their feet. I don't agree with lusting after people. It's just so tacky. Who does that?

Still wondering where Elisa will get her money. Kenia is very fond of her newly found brother. As someone suggested the other day, maybe SHE will make the loan to help Gael and Elisa. That certainly would help to put her squarely in the good gal club, right? Speaking of banking, Alfie was quick to loan a “large” amount of dinero to our Silver Fox, no questions asked. What is her motus operandi? She has one! The botox makes her hard to read!

Paloma is the best friend ever! She never skips a beat when she is defending Elisa. I loved the scene when she told Dam about Flor’s fake paralysis and pregnancy. He had the wildest look on his face. What a story to have to tell a cute guy. Kenia: I peed in a cup, gave it to Flor who took it and put it in her pocketbook and then shlepped it over to Elisa’s house where she, my comrade in fakery, Flor, got it out in the bathroom and used it (my urine sample!) to falsify a pregnancy test.....ugh, that is such an amigo deal breaker!

Viv, I think the driver on Gloria Estefan was having an album come out late last year for the first time in quite a few years. Plus on these lists they do try to get across generations a bit so it's not all the young 'uns. Hubby just gets to tag along with the album and Gloria most likely.(Though I would argue about the beautiful part.)
As for Lily, well, looks like they were trying to grab some TV personality from every Latin region and she fit the bill. Although they could have looked at a few of the news folks out there a lot more pleasing to the eyeballs.

Hi Sandy. I doubt if Kenia will loan the money for the habañero field. She seems to be spending it pretty fast. That brand-new car didn't come cheap. And her mother noted that she had already squandered her inheritance from her father. So she's a bit of a self-centered airhead (though with lovely honey-colored eyes).

I'm looking forward to another confrontation between Ingrid and Alfonsina though. And wondering if Ingrid will manage to squeeze out some more dinero as well.

Hmmmm. Been thinking about Augie's condition last night some more. Yeah, I can imagine that after being in a cold, dark misery for so many years to the point that he's so drunk these days he can no longer feel or see any beauty in the world, him happening upon the vision of a gorgeous young woman swimming would really take Augie aback. Almost like he thought he was dreaming.

Hopefully when he does realize her age, he'll put the brakes on.

Loved DWTS this week. Busted a gut over the Len thing. So hilarious! Made me feel better about him that he has a great sense of humor like that.

Let us hope Horacio doesn't end up killing somebody else. Lord knows he keeps trying, for GABINO. Blanca's death was pretty horrible and does not endear him to me at all. He didn't mean to turn her into a human torch, but he sure intended to turn Lucio into one. Dude is seriously cracked.

That's the only thing that I would feel a little bad about as far as Elisa and Gael are concerned... poor Paloma getting hurt. But if he pants after Elisa his whole life, unrequited, and pays Paloma no never mind her whole life, she's still going to be hurting and what's so good about that?

I don't think there's any way for Paloma not to be hurt in this situation. Gael is going to have to go through the fire and somehow burn his feelings for Elisa off, and Paloma's just going to have to somehow bear it until that happens.

*sigh* Breaks my heart thinking of what all four of them are going to have to go through to get to the happiness hopefully awaiting them...

Steph, Rosemary2: When Elisa had that dreamy look while thinking about Gael I worried about Paloma as well. Girlfriend breakups are devastating! My only thought is that Gael really hasn’t committed to Paloma, so wouldn’t be leaving her for Elisa. I think Paloma’s loyalty will be rewarded with pain in the short term, “No good deed goes unpunished.”
