Refugio Para el Amor #46-47 Wed 6/27/12 Rosa Gets a Truth Bomb and Rod Gets Lucky (3 Times)

It's a three-peat for me, and for Rod and Luci tonight. Arranged by characters and location, with fewer details than my usual long-winded style. Enjoy!

The Old
When we last left our hero and heroine, they were heating up an entire river with their kisses and caresses. But, we’ll come back to them later…

Rosa Has a Heart? Who Knew?!
-Estella reveals to Rosa that Luci left Het Het after her father died, to help her mama and younger brother financially, and to get away from some man who was bothering her. Estella doesn’t know Luci’s dad’s name, but she knows her mother in Paz Flores, and Luci’s full name is Luciana JACINTO FLORES. This news is like a bomb going off in Rosa’s demented brain. She collapses against a bureau, knocking over her headache pills and her cup of tea, and collapses to the floor.
-At the hospital, Rosa gets way more love and concern than she deserves. Pato, in particular, is affected by her illness. He has Mati put Rosa’s hand in his, and he begs her to be strong while fighting back tears. Max and Hannah speak to the doctor who tells them Rosa’s blood pressure dropped a lot, and they are bringing in a cardiologist because they think she may have a heart issue. (I’d say!)
-Gala and Julie want the Torreslandas to get Rod back to D.F. right away, to be with his mama of course. Max doesn’t seem to see the urgency, and Hannah also tells Rod not to rush when she speaks to him on the phone later. He’s concerned about his mother, but he and Luci already planned on coming back to D.F. the next day.
-Rosa gives Mati the stink eye in the hospital and tells her she will talk to her tomorrow. She now knows Mati hid Luci’s true identity from her.

Rod and Luci’s Awesome Adventures in Baby Making
-When we come back to our couple, they are laying side by side on the bank of the river, looking wet and disheveled, but still dressed except for Rod’s shirt and Luci’s belt. But Luci is looking awfully guilty and saying they shouldn’t have done it, and Rod is looking really happy and is very proud that now Luci is not only his wife, but also his woman (mujer). We know what *that* means, but your recapper is scratching her head and wondering if it was immaculate consummation and how Rod managed it with his wet chinos still on. Luci is also embarrassed that someone might have seen them. Rod can’t stop grinning long enough to be concerned about it. He carves a heart with their initials into a nearby tree to memorialize the place where they consummated their love for the first time. They then head back to the hotel to shower and change out of their wet, dirty clothes.
-Rod and Luci continue their evening strolling through the town, eating ice cream, and kissing. Rod tells Luci they are returning to D.F. the next day so that they can get begin planning the Church wedding right away. She is sad that their wonderful trip will end so soon. He promises to take her traveling around the world and to make love to her in each place they visit.
-In their separate hotel rooms, Luci and Rod are dealing with various degrees of guilt. Luci’s is more directly tied to her religious beliefs. She speaks to La Virgen and agonizes because she wanted her and God’s blessing of their marriage before she and Rod did the deed. She flashes back to the encounter on the riverbank and we see her and Rod passionately kissing, and then him beginning to take off her clothes. Her guilty feelings interrupt these lusty thoughts, so we don’t see any more, but now we can safely assume it wasn’t immaculate consummation and that clothing was actually removed.
-Rod feels guilt about breaking his promise to Paz, but he can’t stop grinning long enough to really feel *that* bad about it. Hannah calls and gives Rod the news about Rosa, but she’s more excited to hear about him and Luci. She wants to speak to Luci and is shocked to find out they are in separate rooms and keeping things PG until the Church wedding. Hannah tells him to skip the PG and go straight for the R rating. She wants them to get busy making a little Rod or a little Luci, right now.
-After another romantic dinner, Rod and Luci return to the hotel that evening and do their usual dance outside of Luci’s room as Rod opens her door. Will they, or won’t they?  Luci says good night. “Hasta mañana.” Rod asks if she’s sure about the until tomorrow part. The look in her eyes says she’s not. He then sweeps her up into his arms, takes her into her room, and puts her down gently beside the bed.  Rod then asks, “Do you want me to go? Just ask me to.” Her response: “Stay.” (Quedate) Woohoo!!! We actually see some of the clothes come off this time.

Patote and Marianita
-Pato and Marianita chat and bond during her various periods of exile onto the lawn. She calls him Patote. He tells her he fell and that’s how he ended up in the chair. She tells him about a time she disobeyed her mama and fell, and shows him her scar. A very cute scene.
-Then they touch on even more painful subjects- her missing her mom who has gone away to find work; and whether or not he’ll walk again. She considers Ariche and Pato to be her friends.
-Estella interrupts this cute bonding to tell Pato about his sick mama.
-Later that night, Pato asks Mati more about the situation with Estella, her daughter Ofelia, and Marianita. He’s concerned about Marianita. Mati says they can only hope for a happy ending for Ofelia. Pato says they all wish for happy endings. He wonders if Luci will be happy ever after with Rod. He dreams of Luci kissing and smiling happily with Rod.

Aldo-Vicky-Max—An Incestuous Love Triangle
-Max gives Aldo a new assignment. When Genaro, the driver, is busy taking others around, namely Pato whom he wants to start coming to the office, he wants Aldo to pick up and drop off Hannah. (I see more opportunities for a Hannah/Lorenzo meet up.) They get the call about Rosa being sick and Max rushes out. Aldo takes the opportunity to try to hack into Max’s computer. He doesn’t have enough time and nearly gets caught red handed by Max who returns for his cell phone. The hacking will have to wait for another day.
-Aldo takes advantage of Tio Max being at the hospital to visit Vicky and get her to go out with him. She tries to beg off, but Aldo is determined and comes to her door to ask Don Jero if he can take her out. After a lecture about respecting her and bringing her home on time, Don Jero agrees. Despite her protests, Vicky seems pleased about it. She asks Aldo what made Rosa sick, and Aldo punks her by telling her Rosa found out she and Max are lovers. Major cara impactada de Vicky. “Qué!”
-Aldo lets Vicky off the hook and tells her Rosa’s hospitalization isn’t her fault, but says that Max’s relationship with a girl who could be his daughter is disgusting. Vicky wants him to butt out of her biz. He tells her to turn off her phone if her Osito calls and lie to him about where she was; he then convinces her to go out with him that night, instead of waiting around for her Osito.
-Outside of Inferno, Aldo hangs up Vicky’s phone on Osito when he calls. Max is not a happy camper.
-When he drops her off at home, Vicky explains again to Aldo that they can’t be novios because she is FAITHFUL to Max. Considering that his uncle Max is being UN-faithful to his tia with Vicky, Aldo scoffs at that. He wants Vicky to be happy.  She wants to know why he doesn’t go after all the other available girls out there. He shouts to all the neighbors that he’s in love with her, so she’s forced to shut him up by tackling him with kisses. They collapse to the ground in a fit of giggles.

What the Kids Are Up To
-Boris tries to get Lula to agree to come to his b-day party at the lake house. If she won’t go, Hannah won’t go. Lula refuses to go. Too bad, so sad for you Boris.

Het Het Happenings
-Lic. Barrera and Magda are on a mission to get Paz’s properties back. They meet with Luchita, La Gorda, and get her to confront Don Aquiles about selling her property that wasn’t his. She paid him half the cost of the house already. Aquiles at first denies that he intends to sell the property. He just wants Luci to negotiate with him. But he eventually admits the truth and agrees to give Luchita back her money.
-Barrera surprises me by turning down a big old bribe from Aquiles. He’s there to get justice on behalf of his client Luciana Jacinto Flores! They're going to take him to court for wrongful eviction and fraud.
-Don Aquiles can’t believe his Palomita has become so horrid and done something like this to him. She’s changed. Now he vows to get revenge on her. But he still can’t hate his Palomita who stabbed him in the back; he loves her.
-Magda tells Paz to prepare herself, because now that he’s lost control of her properties, Don Aquiles will surely come looking for trouble.
-Fabian comes back to town. His journey to the States was short lived because the coyote (people smuggler) dumped him and three other folks who had paid him, in the middle of the sierra. Now all his savings are gone. Don Serapio is just happy that he came back alive and in one piece. Lorenzo calls to send the message about his promotion and convinces Fabian to return to D.F. to find work.

Violeta’s Mystery Man and El Inferno
-Vio and Marcial cuddle on her couch. He will accompany her to el Inferno that evening, but then he’s leaving on his work trip. He seems a little too interested in finding out that Lorenzo is now working in the casino, and therefore had to leave for work earlier than Vio. He asks about the demanding bosses. Vio is sure Lorenzo is clever enough to handle himself. He then asks how much the casino makes on a good night. She teases that he wants to open up his own club, like Aldo. He tries to play his questions off, but Vio looks like she’s beginning to have her own questions.
-Violeta/Coral really needs a new song. I think the guys there come to see her do her little shimmy instead of sing. Serena comes to El Inferno wearing her nurse’s uniform. If Inferno were a strip club, this could work. Ivan thinks her uniform is making the customers nervous so he tells her to go home. She’ll start the next night.
-Ivan tells Vio that men don’t come to Inferno looking for wives, so don’t count on anything serious from Marcial.
-Lorenzo is wearing a suit for his first night of work as a host in the casino. He and Aldo chat and make plans for another hacking attempt soon. Lastra watches from the security cameras and wonders what those two are up to. The Silent Partner calls Lastra about business and then we see both he and Max opening up the same balance sheet. If there was any doubt before, now we know for sure the identity of the silent partner.

Gala and Julie
- Julie thinks it’s too much of a coincidence that Luci knows Claudio Linares. She is sure that he and Luci made a plan to get Luci into the Torreslanda house to get back at the family. It’s a plot! They can’t wait to reveal to the family that they had a Linares plotter in their midst.
-Gala notes that Rosalena hates Luci so much, it seems like SHE’s the one who got dumped at the altar. Gala offers to pay Lastra for the photos with her own money, but Julie is determined to squeeze money out of Rosa. They want to get the old guy in Het Het (Aquiles) to say he had something going with Luci.
-Dammit, I thought Gala said she was done with the tears, but there she is again, in her bathrobe in the middle of the night, bawling and whining about Luci stealing Rod from her. “Luci doesn’t know the hell that awaits her.” Yada, yada, yada.

Post Coital Blues and Olympic Worthy Anvil Baiting
- Luci is wrapped in Rod’s arms and is worried thinking back to Sabina’s warnings about all those tears she’ll shed. Rod baits some more anvils and says that nothing and no one can succeed against true love. Luci says she feels so much love for him, that it doesn’t even fit within her soul. Don’t worry your pretty little head, says Rod. Nothing with separate us, ever.
-Luci leaves the bed to sit on the shag rug in front of the fireplace, and has a little silent time with God and the Virgen. Rod wakes and comes to her. He knows she feels guilty about not waiting, but he knows God is with them and they have his blessing. Rod will love her his whole life. They put the shag rug to good use.
-A few more anvil baiting phrases exchanged by our couple: Luci: “If the world ended tomorrow, I would thank God for the time that I’ve spent with you. I love you.” Rod: “This is nothing compared to the happiness that awaits us.”
-Rod calls the big house as he and Luci drive back to D.F. He speaks with Pato, then Luci gets on the phone with him. Luci has Pato close his eyes and imagine her giving him a big hug. He images standing up from his wheelchair and encircling her in an embrace and twirling her. (I bet Brandon Peniche was happy to get to stand up for a few minutes to film that scene.)
-Rod tells Luci that they will stop in and see Padre Honesto first thing when they get to the city.  Time to arrange that Church wedding!

Rosa Loses Her Sh!t
-Rosa admits to Connie what she learned--that Luci is the daughter of Claudio and Aurora!
-Rosa then backtracks and tries to convince herself that there is a snowball’s chance in hell that Luci is Aurora’s child, since she still doesn’t know her father’s name. Connie tells her to stop trying to fool herself. “Now is the time; you have no other choice. It’s your obligation to tell the truth. Luci is not alone. She has Paz who will defend her when she finds out everything.”  Basically, the jig is up Rosa.
-Rosa begs Connie to help her. (She’s not speaking about mental help, but she should be.) She pulls the sister card—it’s Connie’s obligation as her sister to help her keep Luci and Rod apart. Connie says she helped her enough by keeping this secret all these years. She’s had enough of that. “Luciana is the woman your son loves.” Claudio calls Connie and Rosa looks like she’s going to have a heart attack for realz.
-Rosa freaks out that Claudio already knows. She loses her sh!t and jumps from the bed screaming that Rod and Luci being together is a SIN! Luciana is the daughter of Aurora and Maximino! Connie can’t believe that’s true, but Rosa swears Max and Aurora deceived her right under her nose. That’s why she gave that baby away. She begs Connie to get her out of the hospital. Luckily, the nurse comes in and offers drugs to calm her down. Thank God they take effect quickly. I think I need some of that after this scene.
-Rosa dreams of Aurora and wakes in a panic. Connie suggests a paternity test for Luci, since they can do that these days. Rosa doesn’t want the test since then the family would find out her secret. Connie tries to calm her down. Poor Connie.
-Connie decides to postpone her return to her home, considering that her sister is one screaming fit away from the nut house. Oscar is very happy with this news.
-Mati comes to visit Rosa in the hospital the next day, ready to face Rosa’s firing squad of questions and accusations. “Now you and I are going to talk Matilde.” Uh oh.

Avances:  Rosa screams at Mati that Luci and Rod are half siblings, just as Max walks into her hospital room. Rosa attacks Max, while accusing him of having an affair with Aurora.

Anyone else notice that the moon actually has different phases instead of always being full in this tn?

Post Coital Blues is actually real, and supposedly hits a third of all young women at one time or another. Luci seemed to have a major case of it, in between getting it on with Hot Bod Rod.

Post Coital Blues: "Individuals who experience postcoital dysphoria [sadness] may express their immediate feelings after sexual intercourse in terms of melancholy, tearfulness, anxiety, irritability or feeling of restlessness. However, those feelings are disconnected from her feelings of love and affection for her partner."

Anyway, I hope they do it a few more times before the crap hits the fan, and that Luci stops feeling so guilty about it. But I think what she's really feeling are all those anvils lining up over her head. Not looking forward to the return to D.F.

Did Rodrigo actually speak of "montando" Luciana? Does that really mean he speaks of mounting her? In English that comes off feo. Or did I hear that wrong?

Janet- What scene? I'm pretty sure I heard nothing about mounting anything or anyone, but tell me the scence and I'll go back and look and translate.

By the way, welcome!

Oh, Vivi this was marvelous I have to say, and three nights of double episodes to boot, you rock amiga!Yay they did it, yipee. I was so hoping they would. One chisme down now and a hundred to go. I think Luci is just feeling guilty cause she is always doing what her Mama says and she promised her, so she is riddled with guilt now.

Rosa should be in the manicomio, but I have a theory about her. I have read many Catholic saints lives and she is like some of them of old, they used to fast alot, wear hair shirts that purposely irrated the skin and whip themselves for sins they have committed as a form of repentance. She is flagelating herself with her guilt about the baby, and the hair shirt is this "affair" of Max and Aurora. She ought to do as Conny said and get a DNA test already, I'm surprised that Max never suggested it. Who would know except Max and crazy Rosa and Luci, unless she left some hair in a brush in her old room, and then even she wouldn't know. I really don't think that Luci is Max's. I think she is Claudio's.

How cute are Aldo and Vicky??? They belong together. She has so much more fun with Aldo than Max any day.

Poor Conny, I hope she tells Claudio. We know Rosa is never going to tell. Ever. She'd rather die first.

Gala and Julie what a pair! Revenge all the time 24/7. Julie for the dinero, and Gala for the seperating of Luci and Rod. I wonder what else they have up their sleeves.

Oh Pato what a nice guy. He is the best, sigh. I like the fact he doesn't feel sorry for himself and wants to enjoy life even though he is in that chair. I hope by the end of this TN he can walk again.

Oscar, too sigh. Sweet guy. Conny should so hook up with him.

Rod and Luci and the romance. I do love that. They are so made for each other, but I agree Vivi tons of anvils lining up around them all over. I too am not looking forward for them to go back to the D.F.

Poor Estella. Being grilled like that. If I had been Estella I would have told her off and walked out, but I think she was thinking of poor Mati. Rosa so deserves that anvil she is going to get, in spades.

Thanks Madelaine!

Max can't suggest a DNA test because he has no idea about this whole story Rosa has made up in her mind about him fathering a child with Aurora. Remember, he thinks the baby is dead too. I don't think there's any question that Claudio is Luci's dad. I believe Max that there was NEVER anything between him and Aurora. Rosa's just crazy. I'm glad the previews show him hearing her tell Mati her crazy theory. Maybe he can nip that in the bub before Rosa poisons Rod and Luci's minds and makes them think they're siblings.

Great theory about Rosa the Saint. I like the closeups they did of her hands in the hospital-- how she was rubbing them together like she was trying to get clean and scratching at her skin.

My bad Vivi. You're right, she has only accused him of having an affair with Aurora. Rosa sure has a jealous streak.

Notice when she was questioning Estella, she was practically breathing down the poor woman's neck! That was scary, like she is the Grand Inquisitor.

Thanks for recapping this, what a great read. I haven't been watching the episodes as I am out of Univision territory, this is a big help.

Vivi: Not a double shift, but a triple! You are amazing.

"When we last left our hero and heroine, they were heating up an entire river with their kisses and caresses" evoked such a lovely picture. Your "At the hospital, Rosa gets way more love and concern than she deserves" had me nodding in vigorous agreement.

I like the unexpected twists and turns here. At the beginning of this, whoever would have thought that Aldo and Vicky had potential to be candidates for one of the favorite couples: "He shouts to all the neighbors that he’s in love with her, so she’s forced to shut him up by tackling him with kisses. They collapse to the ground in a fit of giggles." Madelaine, I am totally with you.

I'm a little confused though on what Aldo plans to do if he finds out Max is the silent partner. What is he going to do with the information?

I too was glad Max is showing arriving (in the previews) as Rosa was spewing her venom - hopefully, he can dispel that deluded accusation quickly.

Thanks again Vivi. Like the title said, Rod got lucky 3 times as did we with your 3 fab recaps.

Diana

I wasn't sure why Luci was in tears. Vivi thank you for your explanation of Post Coital Blues. Makes perfect sense although I had hoped she could revel somewhat before the anvils start falling.

Diana- Yes, I really liked that scene with Vicky and Aldo. He's so much more fun to date than Max. Max and Aldo are really headed for some major battles over Vicky, and then over Max's side businesses once Aldo finds out, which we know he will. Aldo is so unpredictable, that it's hard to know what he'll do with the info once he gets it. I'm gald that we can't tell right now.

The fact that the info I found on post coital blues says that only young women suffer from it, leads me to believe the it's almost completely tied to feelings of guilt, and maybe fear about getting pregnant and what the guy will think of them afterwards, etc. All that crap that once you are more mature and sure of yourself, and secure in your own sexuality, you don't really feel/worry about anymore. I think Luci was for sure feeling really guilty. This goes against the religious/moral training her parents gave her, as well as a promise she made to her mama. I also think she feels like this is all too good to be true and will surely all go wrong. And she's right. Anvils!

I was struck by some similarities between this storyline and what's happening in Abismo right now. In Abismo we have a father who is wrongly convinced the main couple are half sibs, he wrongly believes his spouse had an affair which resulted in the love child, he has asked that couple refrain from hanky panky (so far, they are going along with his wishes), he has convinced the heroine to ditch the hero for good.

In Refugio, we have a mother who is wrongly convinced that the main couple are half sibs, she wrongly believes her spouse had an affair which resulted in the love child, the other mother has asked the couple to refrain from hanky panky until a Church wedding (they did not comply), the crazy mother did not (yet) convince the hero to dump the heroine.

I have really enjoyed these many episodes with so much romance and alone time for Rod and Luci, even before they started doing the horizontal mambo. I want to thank the writers for that. It has been way more than I expected. I really enjoy Abismo, but I think we have had exactly 2 episodes when the hero and heroine were united and happy, and those weren't consecutive episodes either.

YAY!!!! I WAS WRONG AND I LOVE ADMITTING IT. THEY DID IT.

Feng Shui says harmony is represented by things in threes. So, three it was. So much for harmony in a telenovela.

Well, from my list, here are the most important ones still in play.

1. Rosa is going to go Ape Sh*t when she hears about the marriage.
Well, she went Ape before she hears about it, but on learning that Paz is Luci's mother and all the consequences built up in her mind. She's going to have to go on XXX Strength Sedative to keep her from putting a gun to Luci's head. She's bound and determined to keep her secret to prevent her own personal humiliation.

She's going to assume they *did* it. When she finds out they didn't, she's going to try to get it annulled. Rod & Luci will hide the fact that they did it from her, until Luci finds out she's pregnant.

2. When Don A. is "deposed" by Rosa and/or Julie infront of Rod, he's going to make his relationship with Luci as sordid as he can so he can get her back. Gala is already thinking about this

4. Rod is going to believe all the dirt, but probably won't go back to Gala--disappointing Julie so she redoubles her efforts. after what they shared on their honeymoon, it will take more than one episode for Rod to disbelieve her

5. Pato is going to believe Luci.

6. Claudio leaves on his trip so he can't protect or help Luci or himself.

8. The DNA test will not work as long as Rosa refuses to entertain the thought. Max would be as interested as Claudio to get a DNA test once the news hits the fan, if only to clear his own name.

Diana--Rosa is not going to believe Max, no matter what he says, even when it's the truth. Rosa only believes in her own truth.

And Vivi--You did hit another one out of the ballpark. Sweet, sweet interludes and then back to the hysterical mama bear.
Anita

Yea! Rod & Luci did the dirty deed *happy clapping*.

Vio has those doubts creeping in about her knight in shining armor. Good girl! I think he'll turn out to be a Fed Agent investigating Lastra (and Max too), needed a foot in the Inferno inner workings door and saw the perfect opportunity in Vio. I think in the end though Vio & Pato will hook up. They just seem perfect for each other.

Rosa had to have done something
horrid to be acting the way she's acting with this Claudio/Aurora situation. She's not only a taco short of a full platter, she's got too much guilt built up over this. Just can't put my finger on what it could be... gggrrrr

I think Gala & Jules will strike out with the Lastra angle but hit a homerun with Don A over Luci. They're not going to go to Hot Bod Rod with flimsy evidence about Luci. And that's when the bull caca will hit the fan with our two lovebirds. I don't think Luci has told Rod yet what the real situation is between her & Don A...that he's a creepy dilusional man and she'd much rather eat worms than be with that old fart. If she doesn't (and soon)...ANVIL ALERT!!! CODE RED!!!

Anita- Thanks for the updated predictions list. Your comment about Rosa putting a gun to Luci's head is chilling, but she is crazy enough to do it or something similar. She really doesn't want anyone to know about her sin and shame.

Julie, Gala and Rosa are really going to have to do a good job twisting the facts and making stuff up to make it compelling (or believable) for Rod to dump Luci at this point. I just don't know how the man would be able to question her virtues considering how hard he had to work to get her to make love to him. And he's her legal husband! I guess we'll just have to wait to see how it all plays out.

Anon 1:28- Vio and Pato, huh? I'm not seeing it right now, but why not!

Another new pairing- How about Lic. Barrera and Magda? They made a pretty good team helping Paz and Luci this episode.

Yep, Marcial being a cop is one of my theories about him. Yet another mystery to be uncovered in this tn.

I can't help thinking that when all the poop hits the fan Luci is going to blame herself for having broken her promise to her mother. I think that was also one reason for her post doing it tears.

It is amazing to me that an innocent like Luci can amass so many ugly vengeful people around her bent on destroying her.

I'm really worried what with Rod making all those promises to her about ever lasting love when you know in TNland that once someone makes an accusation he'll be making tracks away from ASAP.

One thing Luci does have is a pack of people who believe in her and will not be swayed by the blonde liars. It amazed me how Julie and Gala jumped to the conclusion that Claudio Linares had planted Luci in the TL household. They make the oddest decisions based on non existent facts.

I really like Oscar but I guess Conny only sees him as some kind of friend. They are really cute together.

I'm running hot and cold on Aldo. When he told Vicky that she was responsible for his tia being in the hospital I couldn't help but think he has inherited some of Tio Max's ratbastard genes.

Now we know for sure that Max is the boss of the crooked operation. Wonder what Aldo and Lorenzo are up to.

Love that Pato more every episode. He is smart, calm and rational and his little scene in the hospital holding loca mama's hand was very touching. I hope somebody thinks about sending him to Lourdes so we can get a miracle cure for him.

Vivi, thanks for a fine recap. Appreciate the detail as it got me up to speed on who's who. My favorite lol: “Dammit, I thought Gala said she was done with the tears, but there she is again, in her bathrobe in the middle of the night, bawling and whining about Luci stealing Rod from her. Luci doesn’t know the hell that awaits her. Yada, yada, yada.”

Delaying the sex actually gave Rod and Luci time to get to know each other better, so I hope Rod hangs tough when it hits the fan. Luci's feeling guilty about consummating their marriage, so she's already more vulnerable to the evildoers.

Don Aquile's schtick is hilarious. The actor is surely enjoying this. Beats playing an upstanding father on LQNPA.

I'm in!

Anon 1:28: Vio and Pato - As Vivi says "I'm not seeing it right now, but why not!".

Vivi: "Another new pairing- How about Lic. Barrera and Magda?". Love it! Who is more supportive and loving than Magda?

Love the show - love the comments.

Diana

"They make the oddest decisions based on non existent facts."

Decie Girl- It is so funny to wacth Gala and Julie come up with these stupid theories, yet they won't accept the simplest one-- Luci is a lovely young woman and Rod just fell head over heels in love with her. End of story. No plots or plans.

Niecie- Yes, Don Aquiles is hilarious, along with Procopio. I hope they keep him that way, and that his attempts at revenge end up being as fruitless (and funny) as his attempts to make his Palomita "his."

"When he told Vicky that she was responsible for his tia being in the hospital I couldn't help but think he has inherited some of Tio Max's ratbastard genes."

Decie Girl- LOL! For sure Aldo is no angel, but neither is Vicky (affair with a married man, *ahem*). I laughed when he told her that. If you're that scared of something (the wife finding out), then you shouldn't be doing it in the first place. Talking to her about ending things with Max hasn't been effective, maybe scaring her will.

Thanks for the recap Vivi.OMG!!is Rosa full of it or what? Wonder what she'll do when she discovers the passionate night her son and her enemy had. She is sick and the fact that her family is ignorant of it puzzles me. Max said she perfect in the beginning. Why is he not worried about her mental state? Guess he is too busy with his lovers to care. I can't wait for Frigid to die or go away to some remote place. Her disloyalty bothers me.

Olive

Thanks a mil Vivi I was so behind! For one thing my local station KMEX Los Angeles kept preempting because of AZ law stuff, etc! I tuned in expecting Luci to be hiding out in Pueblo and find Rod doing an almost crazed-bath-salts-face-eating-thing and calling her "esposa" but then the separate rooms, finally figured out it was a Church issue, oh brother! Anyhow I prefer Rod when he is miserable, his manic grinning and smothering attitude towards Luci is dampening my Rod lust considerably. Luci's dress is so charming and she is one of the great beauties of all time as far as I'm concerned, just gorgeous! Comments: If Aldo is so grossed out by Max going after Vicky, why isn't he equally grossed out that she's going for it? I AM! How could he still be interested in that little liar and homewrecker playing both his married uncle and himself? Also, why is Rosa so convinced of the paternity issue. If it were really true, wouldn't Max be concerned about it? He is resigned to L&R being married, surely he wouldn't be if he were the father of both of them!

Why did they blur the love scene in 47 in the hotel room. Does anyone have it unblurred

Where can i watch the series?? Besides youtube :/
