Thanks so much Marta for this great recap. Aye yi yi, so Max is really smart. Get this Pedro Campos to set up Claudio, so his hands never get dirty. Why was he so anxious to see that video then? Makes no sense, unless he wanted to see if Pedro showed up. Pedro must be a good forger too. Oscar is so right, this definitely goes in Claudio's favor, irregardless of whether he worked for Claudio or not. So what was Claudio before he went to prison? Was he a financier and studied law in prison, and became a lawyer then? I would love to know. That is very interesting.

Lorenzo sure was shocked, but I think once he thinks it over, he will be fine. He was looking at Paz so funny though. He will have to process this info,as Luci did.

Oh, Gagme's plan has worked perfectly. Darn. We just know Rosa will pressure Dead To Me and he will cave as the ninny he is. Julie was just gloating so much, and I kind of cheered when Julie and Gagme found out Luci was pregnant first. I think it will be a long time before Dead To Me ever finds out Luci had his baby. So I think in the meantime, this will be a shotgun wedding hosted by Rosa la Loca. I wonder what the rest of the family will do once they find out about Gagme? I know Pato will be pithed. I will be curious to see Max's reaction and Mati's too. Even though we know they will both side with Rosa la loca.

I really hope Vicky stays away from Max, but not Aldo. She has so much fun with Aldo, but with Aldo comes Max unfortuntaly.

Great recap Marta! Yes indeed, both Rod and Lorenzo had some major bombs dropped on them. I also think that Lorenzo will accept the news well after the initial shock. However, Rod is screwed. Gala's going to sink her claws in and never let go.

I hope Pedro Campos is found and dragged back to Mexico. Max has no shame, and Rod keeps being an idiot being the only one 100% convinced that CL did the fraud. We know why Max insists that's so. But both Oscar and Pato are open to the possibility of CL not beign guilty, even if they don't think Max is guilty.

I hope there is a really fabulous Karmageddon waiting for these two brujas and their designs on Rod's money. No child should have Gagme for a mother, either. That conversation between Julie and Valentina confirmed what I've been thinking all along.

And poor, poor Rod longing for warm, loving, Luci; then Ice Queen dumps that news on him. Looks like he just found out he's going to jail.

 

Urban- Please don't mix up sweet Valentina with that lush Carola. Although, even she isn't as bad as Julie and Gala. Isn't it amazing and sad that Gala must have grown up with Julie never hiding the fact that Gala's only use to her was as a meal ticket. Now Gala is going to allow Julie to do the same with her child, and she's using her own child to trap the kid's dad. What a horrible thing to pass down from generation to generation. I just don't see how Gala could ever be a good mom to this kid. So either the baby dies, she dies, or she reforms.
 

Love the recap Marta! The parallels between the two families are always interesting to see. No matter the issues, Luci's clan stays together, there's always good food, warmth and smiles. On the other hand, dinner at the Torreslanda household is more like a prisoner's last meal...arguments, no smiles, noone really wants to be there. And does Rosa actually ever finish a meal? No wonder she's so thin.

Gala wants no part of being a mother, and I can just imagine the complaining and attitude she'll have about getting "fat" and having her life disrupted we will have to put with ( of course not in front of Dumbass).

Loved the look on his face...wait for it, wait for it....if he says "how did this happen?" I'll smack him. But the snare has snapped shut, Momma will insist he prevent a scandal and wedding chimes will be ringing.

Which opens the door for my sweetie Pato to go for his Luci ( why why why can't these two be together????) We got another "be warned" hint from the therapist that I think we're going to see Pato making a big leap forward in recovery soon. Just get those beanies ready.

Lorenzo will be fine. But he's going to be one unhappy camper when he finds out She Who Shall Not Be Named was behind the whole thing.

So Max is in cahoots with Campos...I think he wanted to see those tapes just to play like he didn't know what he would see. Ass. And of course, Spawn of Ass, just keeps hanging on to that idea it all has to go back to Claudio. Shades of his mother's say and believe it long enough it becomes your reality. She's supposed to be diagnosed with a mental disorder, what's his excuse? Again...this is our hero?

Please, can we stop the Melissa obsessing over Claudio plot? For some reason it feels creepy. I like her, but not when she's acting like a loon around him, just looks wrong.

So tonight we get to watch Dumbass looking nauseous and Gala being nauseous. Ahhhhhh...a sharing couple. Deserve each other.
 

This episode has upset me so much… When Julie popped the champagne I felt sick to my stomach. I don’t wish miscarriage on anyone, but that child deserves to be ushered straight to heaven rather than spend one minute with those two evil twins! If she is really pregnant and it is truly Rod’s (I mean seriously, it’s been less than a week, right?), then I say she dies in child birth and Rod & Luci raise both babies. Luci is kind enough to love and raise a child regardless of who the mother is. That would also be ironic because of Paz raising her.

Also, I cannot imagine the thought that must have went through Lorenzo’s head when he heard that CL was Luci’s father. I mean, my first thought would be “You cheated on my father with Claudio…??”. I’ll be glad to get to the next sentence in that story.

I know it’s a soap opera, but this mess is crazy!

 

Hi SuperMarta..another fine recap. Your opening sentence was hilarious...a great start to a rollicking romp...of completely miserable happenings.

Hate where this story is going at present but we know there has to be major suffering and misunderstandings, missed chances and grievous mistakes before our Love Boat is righted again. But jeez...hate this middle part! Not your recap though, which was SuperMarta great as always.
 

I agree that the baby does not deserve to have the two evil 'twins' to deal with. I agree that if the baby were born, Luci would have no problem raising it along with hers and Rod's... Luci more than anyone know what it takes to raise a child with all the love it needs.
The only thing i like about the stupid Rod / Gala/ baby plotline is that it will keep Rod constantly comparing Gala and Luci and also will keep him busy enough to allow Pato to get close to Luci and be there for her... even if i believe Pato will suffer quite a bit being close to her in that role. But he is more than willing as long as he gets to be there for her until Rod wakes up from his stoopid nightmares.
 

Thanks, SuperMarta. Excellent as always. Loved Rod's expression when Gala told him the rabbit died. I hope Gala is sick her entire pregnancy. And that she gains about 100 pounds. Maybe Juli will have 'sympathy sickness'. Well, not being sympathetic about anything or anybody, that's a non-starter.
 

Those two are sociopaths. I wonder when Julie dictated that Gala was to call her "Julie" instead of "Mama" and how Gala felt about it then.
 

I noticed that after putting on both her rings, for the first time (she never got a chance to wear the engagement ring together with the wedding band), Luci not only put them back in the box, but also put the box in the drawer of her nigthstand. Does this signify she is more ready to move on? She was dry eyed as she did so, while Rod was still crying tears of regret in his bed.
 

Could be. However, the willingness with which so many novela heroines go into unmarried motherhood disturbs me. I truly think that it robs the child of something important that has nothing to do with money.

Way back near the beginning, some people wondered what the stuffed animal an Don Aquiles desk was. No one knew---I didn't either. After all this time I decided to see if I could find out. It was easy---the little animal is a ring-tailed cat. My computer skills are extreme basic. I don't know how to put in links, you know---click here. Well, we all knew that Gagme would get pregnant. We also know that DimRod doesn't love her. Why not just pay her child support after the baby arrives? But I guess we also know that WeakRod will have to do what mommy tells him to do. The BIG QUESTION is, how will Rod break away from his upcomming mirrage to Gagme and return to his true love of Luciana? It's getting interesting.

One last thing---even if Pedro Campos is found and comes back to testify at the trial, Max will pay him off so that his testimony won't go in Claudio's favor.

i agree, we have way too many novelas repeating that same theme, single mother can handle it herself... they are only giving teenage girls the idea that it is OK to have sex, and if they get preggers, they will have a support circle to help them through... not always the case, unfortunately. But they don't know what they are getting into until it is way too late...
 

gringo, i have a feeling it will have a lot to do with his getting his eyes opened as to just HOW MUCH Gala has done to separate him and Luci, beginning with the INTENTIONAL photo shoot/special edition magazine dedicated to undermining/insulting Luci... right to them hiding the fact that Luci is preggers, Luci is CL's daughter and letting him think they have a RELATIONSHIP, etc etc... i would say that is grounds to suspend the wedding. he would still provide child support if the baby gets through term, but i think that would get him off the hook once he realizes all Gala has been up to against Luci.
 

about Campos... if he comes back he will be in the spotlight of the police and judicial system, since he is the one with the most to lose, he IS the one in the video. and for all purposes, he faked Claudio's signature, no doubt about it. Claudio has nothing to lose, he already served an undeserved sentence... why would he come back to call so much attention to the case he already paid for if he were not innocent. The burden of proof is definitely in Campos. And if he points to Claudio, there are many reasons it would not make sense. Why would Claudio accept to serve a sentence all by himself and not drag Campos along if thy were allies? I think Pato would be asking the same questions as i am... he looks to be very smart and seems to be pretty neutral even if he is Max's son. Thinking Claudio is innocent does not automatically point fingers at his father, so he might not realize where the spotlight will shine next, he might think Campos acted on his own. what will be strange to him is why his own father is SO SURE Claudio is guilty.
 

If Campos testifies against Claudio, Max would have to pay not only him but other witnesses who saw Claudio and Campos 'planning' the whole thing. And that could backlash on Max since Claudio could find evidence tying Campos and Max. ah the possibilities. I don't see that many businessmen or secretaries who were at TL over 20 yrs ago to testify to that, so Max would have to buy some for sure. Vicky's dad seems too 'honest' to be in that list, no matter how much Max has done for him.

About the Gagme/Rod baby. Sure Gala is an evil beyotch, but she will know in order to "keep" Rod she better be taking good care of that bebe. What worries me is Julie and Rosa and the bebe. What will they be doing with it. We all know Rosa was raised by Mati, who I am sure raised all of Rosa's kids. But Julie is another story. That poor innocent bebe.

Thanks for a wonderful recap Super Marta. I missed the episode but as usual the recap filled the void nicely. Isn't it great when we all have a mutual enemy? In a way Dead to Me's character needs to mature. He can't get back together with Luci unless he learns to treat her right.Can you just imagine what a wimpy husband he'll make? "sorry Luci,mi mama says no sex tonight" Gala deserves Luci's leftovers.That poor baby. He or she is probably going to be sleeping in the servants quarters.She or he will probably also call her Gala.
Vicky is the kind of girl you are also afraid your daughters would turn into. Great home life but still strays. What can she possibly see this old man (by her standards).Her dad is a good one so why the sugar-daddy?

Great question Olive. I don't understand this in real life either, but it happens all the time-- young women getting involved with rich, powerful (married) men. It seldom ends well for the young woman.

NoleGirl- ITA about what Lorenzo's thought process must have been. The logical conclusion would have been that Paz and CL had an affair. LOL! Looking forward to seeing Luci and Paz give him the rest of the story. Poor kid's head is going to implode.
