Refugio Para el Amor #93 Thu 8/16/12 The Sword Of Damacles Hits Rod On The Head and Melissa Has It Out With Her Moms and Her Tia Loca
TORRESLANDA BIDNESS:
We start tonight with Rosa and Max meeting in Max's office. Max can't beleive Rosa is bothering him at work. He's a busy man, doncha know! Rosa says she wouldn't have bothered him, but she has some news for him and that if it wasn't important she wouldn't be there. She tells Max, wait for it, that Gagme is preggers. Max is like, wow, my son is making many babies, huh, not really but he just can't beleive it. La loca Rosa tells Max that Gagme is a modern woman and could raise the baby herself, and La Loca informs Max that Dead to Me doesn't want to marry Gagme. Max is still having a problem wrapping his head around the fact that both Luci and Gagme are having babies with Dead to Me. La Loca tries to insinuate to Max that Luci's baby isn't Dead To Me's but Max turns it around and says what if Gagme's isn't Dead to Me's? La Loca says that Dead to Me could get a DNA test to be sure. La Loca goes on to tell Max, their obligation is to make sure that Gagme and Dead To Me get married, cause of the Torreslanda bidness, oh, the horror of a scandal (Note to Rosa: What century are you living in ya loca?). And besides this is their first grandchild. Max has to remind La Loca that Luci's baby is in fact their first grandchild. Of course now that La Loca is on a roll she says oh, and by the way also the first grandchild of Claudio Linares, have you called him to congrat him yet? La Loca wants to know what will it be Torreslanda-Linares or Torreslanda-Villacencio? Now La Loca is pressing Max to talk to Dead to Me and convince him to marry Gagme. It would avoid the scandal of having a baby out of wedlock, oh the horror of that. She says Torreslanda-Linares again and shakes her head in that loca way she has.
Pato and Dead To Me are in Pato's office, and Dead To Me is telling him the problem of Gagme being pregnant and that La Loca mama is insisting he marry Gagme. Pato wants to know what is Dead To Me gonna do? Dead To Me tells Pato, he already talked to Gagme, and made it clear to her, he is not marrying her and his Mama Loca is not going to decide this for him. Dead To Me says he will take care of Gagme and the baby, whatever they need, they never have to worry about that, but Dead To Me is certainly not going to marry Gagme. Dead To Me wants to know what Pato thinks? Pato says he can't imagine marrying someone he doesn't love, but what proof does he have that the baby is even his? They haven't been together that long. Dead To Me says what is stopping him is that he is still profoundly in love with Luci.
Dead To Me comes to Max' office. He wants Dead To Me to have a seat, but Dead To Me stands. Max tells Dead To Me that his mama has come to see him about his little problem and Dead To Me correctly assumes it is about Gagme's preggers situation. Max wants to know what Dead to Me is gonna do about it. Dead To Me tells Max he talked to Gagme already, they are very different, it would never work between them and Dead To Me doesn't want a marriage of convience. Besides, Dead To Me tells Max, he isn't in love with Gagme. Max doesn't want to talk about love, but responsiblity. Max reminds Dead To Me he is a Torreslanda, by gum and should do the right thing. Max says he should be thinking of his job as a Dad now. Now Max hovers the Sword of Damocles, over Dead To Me's head and he wants Dead To Me to marry Gagme! Dead To Me looks like he doesn't know what to do as that Sword is dangling over his head, getting closer and closer.
Pato, Gabe and Marcos are in a meeting about fiduciary matters and Dead To Me comes in. Pato wants to know if Dead To Me is ok? Dead To Me tells the assembled gentlmen that he talked to Max and he's, wait for it, gettin' married. Dead To Me tells Gabe and Marcos, that Gagme is preggers and Marcos says QUE???. Dead to Me tells them this is all their fault. It happened on the night of their little get together. Gabe and Marcos just can't beleive it. Dead to Me says since he is a responsible fellow (Note to Dead To Me: Should have stuck to your guns and told those loca parents of yours NO, jus' sayin). and in order to protect his baby , he's gettin married! He repeats it to himself, he's gettin' married. Pato doesn't look happy.
Dead To Me is back in his office when Oscar comes in. Oscar says he has something for Dead To Me and it is his final divorce decree. Dead To Me tells Oscar that he and Luci parted enemies and there isn't a chance in hell of a reconcilation, they both look sad.
GAGME'S LAIR
The Champagne Queen (Thanks Daisynjay) and Gagme are planning how they are going to get Dead To Me to marry Gagme. Champagne Queen thinks La Loca will push Dead To Me into marrying Gagme because of obligation. The Champagne Queen wants them to marry toute de suite. Dead To Me tells Gagme he's thought about what they talked about and it's better if they get married. Now the Champagne Queen is right behind Dead To Me ,where he can't see her, and she is going yes, yes, yes, and fist pumping the air! Gagme wants to know what is better about being married, it is so not necessary, but you can tell Gagme is lyin'. Champagne Queen is giving Gagme the stink eye. Of course, Champagne Queen steps right in and says of course it is better for you to marry him, you're having his baby! Gagme tells Dead To Me she would have taken care of the baby, why the change of heart? Of course the Champagne Queen wants to know why too.
Dead To Me goes on and tells Gagme he wants a discreet civil ceremony. The Champagne Queen is so not happy about this. Dead To Me only wants his family there and them, that's it. Of course, the Champagne Queen so doesn't agree with this. Gagme interrupts her and tells Dead To Me to excuse her. Gagme tells the Champagne Queen this is between her and Rod, por favor. Gagme agrees to be married to Dead To Me. The Champagne Queen doesn't like the proposal. Gagme tells Dead to Me it is the bad memories of the first attempted wedding. Dead To Me tells Gagme that he put Oscar in charge of getting everything ready and in the morning they are going to the civil registry to be married. Gagme says that quick. Dead to Me says yeah that quick and he goes. Here comes the Champagne Queen , with what else, two glasses of champagne and she offers Gagme one. Gagme declines, so the Champagne Queen takes both glasses toasts them, says yes in English, and drinks. Gagme says now Rodrigo es Mio!!!!

Magda, Paz, Luci, Lorenzo and Ariche are all together and Lorenzo is admiring the work Luci has done on one of the walls with the pattern she made. Ariche is telling them about the phantasma that goes after drunks and disobediant children. Magda and Paz laugh and Ariche tells them its so true cause Don Theo told him so! Ariche tells Lorenzo he will protect the ladies from this phantasma! Lorenzo informs the ladies he is going back to the D.F. Paz doesn't want him to go, but Magda and Luci tell Paz to let him go back. The ladies make him promise a few things. He promises Paz he will stay out of trouble and he promises Magda he will keep a good eye on Vio and protect her. Luci wants to talk to him away from her Mama and Godmother so they go to the faucet and Luci makes Lorenzo promise he won't tell Rod or anyone about the baby. Lorenzo really thinks Rod should know but Luci is afraid La Loca will do something bad. Luci especially wants him to say nothing to the Torreslandas. Lorenzo tells Luci that will be hard, cause, wait for it, Lorenzo is soooo in lurvve with Hanna! Luci just can't beleive it. Ariche pipes up he's gotta go home and Luci and Lorenzo volunteer to walk him and they all go. Lorenzo has his arm around Luci as they walk away,and Magda remarks they are such loving kids. Paz says it's cause Luci is such a great girl. Magda thinks it was the way they were raised by Paz and Galindo with lots of love and respect. Paz is worried about Luci and the baby, and of course those pesky Torreslandas. Magda tells her not to worry she is there for Paz and Luci. Magda and Paz have a hug.
Ariche has run ahead and Luci is asking Lorenzo how he thinks he is in love with Hanna. Lorenzo tells her it was when he met her in the D.F. that day. She is so sweet and nice. Luci agrees and wants to know why Lorenzo hasn't told her already. Lorenzo says he can't. Hanna has a novio already and he has little hope of ever getting her to fall in love with him. Luci tries to compare Rod and Hanna and Lorenzo tells her they aren't the same.
Luci is afraid Rosa will do to Lorenzo what she did to Luci! La Loca seperated Rod and Luci and will do the same to Lorenzo. Now this next part of the convo I didn't get. Luci said something about she has Linares blood while Lorenzo has Jacinto Flores blood. Someone please clarify this.
Luci, Lorenzo, Paz and Magda are seeing Lorenzo off at the bus station cause he is going back to the D.F. Paz gives Lorenzo a scapular and makes him promise to wear it. (Ed Note: A scapular is two images of the Virgin Mary or a Saint connected by a cloth string, worn under the shirt, one part on the heart, the other on the back. It is for protection and to show devotion to the Virgin Mary or the Saint.) Lorenzo promises. Paz tells him it is to protect him. He promises to wear it always. Now here comes, wait for it, Don A. He wanted to give Lorenzo a job. Lorenzo tells Don A he's leaving and he already has a job, thank you very much. Luci steps in and informs Don A that they need nothing from Don A!
Magda and Paz are cleaning up and Paz is thoughtful. Magda knows that Paz is worried about Lorenzo in the D.F. Luci has been cleaning Lorenzo's room and invites Magda to spend the night with them. They miss her. Magda says she'll think about it. They are going to prepare some food cause Claudio is coming.
Magda and Paz are cooking now and Luci is prettying up the place. Magda remarks that Luci is making it pretty for the Lic and Luci says of course he is my Papa. Paz and Magda exchange looks and Luci has to sit down.
TORRESLANDA HOUSE:
Conny is working in her little office, when Melissa comes in loaded for bear. Melissa is so mad, you can see the smoke coming out of her ears. Conny greets her and Melissa closes the door to the office Melissa wants to know how long Conny knew that Luci is the daughter of Claudio Linares? Conny takes off her glasses and looks at Melissa. Melissa also thinks that Claudio is so not guilty of this fraud he is accused of. Melissa also wants to know what would her cousins think if they knew about this? Melissa wants to confront La Loca but Conny begs her not to, La Loca is sick and obsessed by all this. Melissa just doesn't understand her Mama, how could she live with herself all these years? Conny tells Melissa she just couldnt' go against her sister. (Note to Conny: Look you are just as guilty, oh please). Melissa informs her Moms she is going now and will not return to this house, cause noone in it bothered to inform Claudio that his daughter is alive. Melissa goes, highly upset.
Champagne Queen has called the Torreslanda home. Gagme, Fernanda, and Valentina are listening in on the call in Gagme's Lair. Champagne Queen has gotten Frigid. The Champagne Queen has got her, champagne glass handy of course, and she asks Frigid what is up with Dead To Me? Frigid tells her nothing new, the house is calm now. The Champagne Queen is enjoying herself immensely and informs Frigid that she is calling with the news of the year, and that wait for it, Gagme is preggers by Dead To Me! Well, blow ole Frigid over with a feather, cause she yells QUE???? Champagne Queen says you could have had money in that purse, jus' sayin'.
Melissa is on her way out the door, still blowing that smoke out of her ears, when guess who she runs into? Anyone??? That's right her Tia Loca From Hell! La Loca wants to know how Melissa is and hey what's up? La Loca can tell Melissa aint in a good mood. So La Loca asks her if there is a problem. Well, Melissa gets right into her Loca Tia's face and asks her How Could You??? She tells her Tia Loca she has no shame, and stalks off! The La Loca is dumbstruck and Frigid comes in and says The Champagne Queen called. La Loca goes and Frigid says so Gagme is preggers, Que barbaro! Wild!
Rosa marches right into Conny's office and wants to know QTH Conny told Melissa? Conny tells her loca sister that Melissa now knows the whole truth! La Loca wants to know again if Conny told her. Conny tells her, no, but Claudio Linares told her everything. La loca is so not pleased. La Loca is so pithed that Melissa knows everything and that Claudio was the one that told her. La Loca is afraid that Melissa will spill the frijoles to her cousins and that La Loca never told her kids and this is so not good. Conny tells La Loca no worries, Melissa is so digusted, she won't be setting her feet in this house again. Mati comes in about this time to remind Rosa to take her meds, I think. Mati goes, and Hanna comes in, looking for Melissa, she heard she was here and Hanna wanted to talk to her. Conny tells her Melissa had to go and won't be back. Hanna looks at both women and is upset.
La Loca is in her and Max's den of iniquity with her sleep mask on, "resting". Mati comes in and tells her the Champagne Queen is on the phone. Unbeknownst to La Loca and the Champagne Queen, the Frigid one is on the kitchen extention listening to the whole convo. The Champagne Queen informs La Loca that , wait for it, Dead To Me and Gagme are getting married in the morning. Frigid's face is priceless in that kitchen.
Pato and Hanna are in Pato's room and both are pacing. Hanna all over the room and Pato in his chair, running it all over the room. Pato tells Hanna that Dead To Me is getting married to Gagme and is doing it for the baby. Hanna can't beleive it. She doesn't think Dead To Me should do it. Besides Luci would have made a great mom (If Hanna only knew)!
CLAUDIO'S OFFICE:
Claudio and Norma are in the office going over a few things. He tells Norma he will be leaving soon to see Luci and if Melissa comes by to tell her he'll be back around mid-week. Lic Barrera comes in and tells Claudio they have the name of the guy in the video. Pedro Campos. Claudio wants to know if he is sure of the name. Lic Barrera is sure, well Claudio doesn't know him. Lic Barrera tells Claudio that this Pedro Campos worked in the finance department of Torreslanda and probably worked directly for Max is what Claudio thinks. Lic Barrera is on it and will find out. Lic Barrera also has Luci's final divorce decree. Claudio will bring it up to Het Het with him and give it to her. Claudio tells them she will be very sad to receive it.
NICOLE'S SALON:
Vicky is doing a client's nails and is not in the best of moods. The client wants to know what's wrong, is it her Dad? Vicky says no, not Dad he's fine. Things on my mind, blah, blah. Aldo has come by the shop, and is looking in the window of the door, waving at Vicky. She is trying to get him to go away, but he still waves at her.
THE HOOD:
Marianita and Vio are talking. Marianita is saying her grandma is so sad. Mari asks Vio about her work. She tells Vio her grandma doesn't want her Mama to work where Vio works. Vio says she works late and Mari wants to know if that's bad. Vio says no, she gets to sing blah blah and she is happy with her job.
Estalita's Apt
Ofelia and Serena are talking. Ofelia says she really needs that job, but her Mama is upset with this antro job. Serena says she understands and it is better if she goes. She does. Estalita comes out of the kitchen red eyes like she's been crying for a long time. Ofelia tells her not to cry, it's Ofelia's fault. Ofelia feels bad her Mama is crying and she wants her Mama to give her the blessing, she really needs it. Ofelia also tells her Mama it's the money and Vio and Serena are ok working at the antro. Estalita says that may be but she wanted something better for Ofelia. Ofelia hugs her and tells her not to cry.
OUTSIDE VICKY'S PLACE:
Vicky and Aldo are talking. Aldo wants to go out with Vicky again. She isn't too happy. She tells Aldo about his Tio coming to look for her the other day in his car and taking her to the "love nest" and that his Tio was highly pithed. Aldo tells her to trust him, please. Oscar and Conny are having dinner and Oscar fills her in on the fact that Dead To Me is getting married in the morning and Gagme is preggers. Conny can't beleive it. Oscar also fills Conny in on how Dead To Me can't stop thinking about Luci. Conny is just disgusted and wants to know QTH is going on in that house! Lorenzo tells Luci that will be hard, cause, wait for it, Lorenzo is soooo in lurvve with Hanna! Luci just can't beleive it. Ariche pipes up he's gotta go home and Luci and Lorenzo volunteer to walk him and they all go. Lorenzo has his arm around Luci as they walk away,and Magda remarks they are such loving kids. Paz says it's cause Luci is such a great girl. Magda thinks it was the way they were raised by Paz and Galindo with lots of love and respect. Paz is worried about Luci and the baby, and of course those pesky Torreslandas. Magda tells her not to worry she is there for Paz and Luci. Magda and Paz have a hug.
Ariche has run ahead and Luci is asking Lorenzo how he thinks he is in love with Hanna. Lorenzo tells her it was when he met her in the D.F. that day. She is so sweet and nice. Luci agrees and wants to know why Lorenzo hasn't told her already. Lorenzo says he can't. Hanna has a novio already and he has little hope of ever getting her to fall in love with him. Luci tries to compare Rod and Hanna and Lorenzo tells her they aren't the same.
Luci is afraid Rosa will do to Lorenzo what she did to Luci! La Loca seperated Rod and Luci and will do the same to Lorenzo. Now this next part of the convo I didn't get. Luci said something about she has Linares blood while Lorenzo has Jacinto Flores blood. Someone please clarify this.
Luci, Lorenzo, Paz and Magda are seeing Lorenzo off at the bus station cause he is going back to the D.F. Paz gives Lorenzo a scapular and makes him promise to wear it. (Ed Note: A scapular is two images of the Virgin Mary or a Saint connected by a cloth string, worn under the shirt, one part on the heart, the other on the back. It is for protection and to show devotion to the Virgin Mary or the Saint.) Lorenzo promises. Paz tells him it is to protect him. He promises to wear it always. Now here comes, wait for it, Don A. He wanted to give Lorenzo a job. Lorenzo tells Don A he's leaving and he already has a job, thank you very much. Luci steps in and informs Don A that they need nothing from Don A!
Magda and Paz are cleaning up and Paz is thoughtful. Magda knows that Paz is worried about Lorenzo in the D.F. Luci has been cleaning Lorenzo's room and invites Magda to spend the night with them. They miss her. Magda says she'll think about it. They are going to prepare some food cause Claudio is coming.
Magda and Paz are cooking now and Luci is prettying up the place. Magda remarks that Luci is making it pretty for the Lic and Luci says of course he is my Papa. Paz and Magda exchange looks and Luci has to sit down.
TORRESLANDA HOUSE:
Conny is working in her little office, when Melissa comes in loaded for bear. Melissa is so mad, you can see the smoke coming out of her ears. Conny greets her and Melissa closes the door to the office Melissa wants to know how long Conny knew that Luci is the daughter of Claudio Linares? Conny takes off her glasses and looks at Melissa. Melissa proceeds to let Conny have it. Melissa wants to know why Conny never said anything for all these years. Melissa wants to know how Conny could live with herself and this secret. Conny says La Loca is her sister! Well Melissa is so not having this excuse and tells Conny that La Loca knew darn well that Luci wasn't a servant but the daughter of Claudio Linares. Melissa also thinks that Claudio is so not guilty of this fraud he is accused of. Melissa also wants to know what would her cousins think if they knew about this? Melissa wants to confront La Loca but Conny begs her not to, La Loca is sick and obsessed by all this. Melissa just doesn't understand her Mama, how could she live with herself all these years? Conny tells Melissa she just couldnt' go against her sister. (Note to Conny: Look you are just as guilty, oh please). Melissa informs her Moms she is going now and will not return to this house, cause noone in it bothered to inform Claudio that his daughter is alive. Melissa goes, highly upset.
Champagne Queen has called the Torreslanda home. Gagme, Fernanda, and Valentina are listening in on the call in Gagme's Lair. Champagne Queen has gotten Frigid. The Champagne Queen has got her, champagne glass handy of course, and she asks Frigid what is up with Dead To Me? Frigid tells her nothing new, the house is calm now. The Champagne Queen is enjoying herself immensely and informs Frigid that she is calling with the news of the year, and that wait for it, Gagme is preggers by Dead To Me! Well, blow ole Frigid over with a feather, cause she yells QUE???? Champagne Queen says you could have had money in that purse, jus' sayin'.
Melissa is on her way out the door, still blowing that smoke out of her ears, when guess who she runs into? Anyone??? That's right her Tia Loca From Hell! La Loca wants to know how Melissa is and hey what's up? La Loca can tell Melissa aint in a good mood. So La Loca asks her if there is a problem. Well, Melissa gets right into her Loca Tia's face and asks her How Could You??? She tells her Tia Loca she has no shame, and stalks off! The La Loca is dumbstruck and Frigid comes in and says The Champagne Queen called. La Loca goes and Frigid says so Gagme is preggers, Que barbaro! Wild!
Rosa marches right into Conny's office and wants to know QTH Conny told Melissa? Conny tells her loca sister that Melissa now knows the whole truth! La Loca wants to know again if Conny told her. Conny tells her, no, but Claudio Linares told her everything. La loca is so not pleased. La Loca is so pithed that Melissa knows everything and that Claudio was the one that told her. La Loca is afraid that Melissa will spill the frijoles to her cousins and that La Loca never told her kids and this is so not good. Conny tells La Loca no worries, Melissa is so digusted, she won't be setting her feet in this house again. Mati comes in about this time to remind Rosa to take her meds, I think. Mati goes, and Hanna comes in, looking for Melissa, she heard she was here and Hanna wanted to talk to her. Conny tells her Melissa had to go and won't be back. Hanna looks at both women and is upset.
La Loca is in her and Max's den of iniquity with her sleep mask on, "resting". Mati comes in and tells her the Champagne Queen is on the phone. Unbeknownst to La Loca and the Champagne Queen, the Frigid one is on the kitchen extention listening to the whole convo. The Champagne Queen informs La Loca that , wait for it, Dead To Me and Gagme are getting married in the morning. Frigid's face is priceless in that kitchen.
Pato and Hanna are in Pato's room and both are pacing. Hanna all over the room and Pato in his chair, running it all over the room. Pato tells Hanna that Dead To Me is getting married to Gagme and is doing it for the baby. Hanna can't beleive it. She doesn't think Dead To Me should do it. Besides Luci would have made a great mom (If Hanna only knew)!
CLAUDIO'S OFFICE:
Claudio and Norma are in the office going over a few things. He tells Norma he will be leaving soon to see Luci and if Melissa comes by to tell her he'll be back around mid-week. Lic Barrera comes in and tells Claudio they have the name of the guy in the video. Pedro Campos. Claudio wants to know if he is sure of the name. Lic Barrera is sure, well Claudio doesn't know him. Lic Barrera tells Claudio that this Pedro Campos worked in the finance department of Torreslanda and probably worked directly for Max is what Claudio thinks. Lic Barrera is on it and will find out. Lic Barrera also has Luci's final divorce decree. Claudio will bring it up to Het Het with him and give it to her. Claudio tells them she will be very sad to receive it.
NICOLE'S SALON:
Vicky is doing a client's nails and is not in the best of moods. The client wants to know what's wrong, is it her Dad? Vicky says no, not Dad he's fine. Things on my mind, blah, blah. Aldo has come by the shop, and is looking in the window of the door, waving at Vicky. She is trying to get him to go away, but he still waves at her.
THE HOOD:
Marianita and Vio are talking. Marianita is saying her grandma is so sad. Mari asks Vio about her work. She tells Vio her grandma doesn't want her Mama to work where Vio works. Vio says she works late and Mari wants to know if that's bad. Vio says no, she gets to sing blah blah and she is happy with her job.
Estalita's Apt
Ofelia and Serena are talking. Ofelia says she really needs that job, but her Mama is upset with this antro job. Serena says she understands and it is better if she goes. She does. Estalita comes out of the kitchen red eyes like she's been crying for a long time. Ofelia tells her not to cry, it's Ofelia's fault. Ofelia feels bad her Mama is crying and she wants her Mama to give her the blessing, she really needs it. Ofelia also tells her Mama it's the money and Vio and Serena are ok working at the antro. Estalita says that may be but she wanted something better for Ofelia. Ofelia hugs her and tells her not to cry.
OUTSIDE VICKY'S PLACE:
Vicky and Aldo are talking. Aldo wants to go out with Vicky again. She isn't too happy. She tells Aldo about his Tio coming to look for her the other day in his car and taking her to the "love nest" and that his Tio was highly pithed. Aldo tells her to trust him, please. He wants her to know that she isn't alone and he makes her promise to trust him. She does. He wants a smile from her and she does but kind of fakey. He wants a real one and she does smile nicely. He wants to take her somewhere, and she finally agrees but not to Inferno, he says ok, not Inferno, and now he wants a kiss. Vicky says no at first, but Aldo kisses her and she thanks him and goes in, while he smiles at her the whole time.
A RESTAURANT IN THE D.F.
Oscar and Conny are having dinner and Oscar fills her in on the fact that Dead To Me is getting married in the morning and Gagme is preggers. Conny can't beleive it. Oscar also fills Conny in on how Dead To Me can't stop thinking about Luci. Conny is just disgusted and wants to know QTH is going on in that house! Conny says now that Gagme and Dead To Me are getting married, La Loca will chill out and Conny can't wait to get back to her place! Oscar doesn't want Conny to go. Conny tells Oscar she is really worried about Melissa. Conny tells him that Claudio told Melissa the truth about Luci and that Melissa confronted Conny about it, Rosa is sick and Conny doesn't want to abandon her. Oscar says yeah, alot going on at Torreslanda Bidness. Conny feels everything will come to a bad end. Oscar tells Conny they love each other, trust each other and he doesn't want her to go and will try to convince her of that. That gets Conny smiling again.
ADVANCES:
Claudio brings Luci her final divorce decree, she cries.

Loved Melissa in this one. She was so right to tell them off the way she did. She is indeed indignant.
I also have to say, I'm glad I am NOT recapping this wedding with Gagme and Dead To Me, been there, done that. If this TN had stayed on the schedule and there had been no soccer game, I would have been recapping the third wedding of this TN. I loved the Rod/Luci wedding the best. So much love. I don't know how Rod will live with himself.

Thanks for your recap, Madelaine. You really captured the mood of those Torreslanda people! Yes, the Rod/Luci wedding was better. Hanging out with Luci's family anytime is so much better. When they switch back to Gala and Vicky I just want to bang my head on the wall many times.
I am finding this TN pretty predictable, Rod marrying Gala. The Spanish in this TN seems easier to understand, though.

Oh, momma raised her spoiled little boy just right didn't she. Again, everyone else's fault huh? Viewerville has to play the La Loca game. But I'm hoping that the argument with Melissa makes her realize that she can rationalizee this till the cows come home to Het Het, but she and Mati were wrong. Real sisterly or brotherly love means helping someone get care when they are "not well", help them through issues, not just sweep things under the carpet and enable them.

Great recap Madelaine! That Rod didn't even last one episode refusing to marry Gala. One talk from Papa Max, and BAM! But I am more disappointed in Max. He once again chose to put his own interest (not having any ties to CL, this time via a grandchild) over the happiness of Rod. So, although he isn't dillusional like La Loca, and has no problem admitting that Luci is having his first grandchild, and also knows what a hellish marriage is like, he'll still throw Rod under the bus to avoid any ties to CL.

I have not yet watched this episode since I promised my husband I won't watch any until he comes home on Monday! Ugh...

NoleGirl- They can't have a Church wedding because Gala is divorced and was married in the Church the first time. Yes, this makes it easier for Rod to divorce her later and marry Luci in the Church eventually.
Usually I'm against the heroine hiding her pregnancy from the galan, but in this case I think Luci's instincts are correct. Even if Rosa already knows she's pregnant, Luci isn't a threat while she's in Het Het and away from Rod and the TLs. But once Rod finds out, he will drag Luci back into his TL life, and Rosa might do something crazy against Luci and her baby. I think Rod should know, but I also think there needs to be some real protection put in place for Luci and her baby once that happens.

Ecclesiastical question...if Rod is divorced from Gala, can HE get married in the church? Seems like that would disqualify HIM? In that case, is Gala eventually toast.

Divorce is only a problem if you were married in the church. Rod has never been married in the church.
I dont think a civil ceremony and divorce prevents Rod from marrying by church. So a finale marriage by church with Luci is still viable. As long as he did not marry by church and then get divorced, he is ok. I have seen other novelas where a couple gets married by church, then divorced and the church marriage annulled so they can marry by church again. So i think he is still ok. the one who cannot marry by church again unless she gets her first church marriage annulled would be Gala.
Malissa was speaking our language last night. Thanks Madelaine for the super awesome recap. I like Connie and love the fact that at a "certain age" she's found love.That, however does not make her behavior acceptable.what ever happened to moral code? The unibomber's brother loved him and yet for the sake of humanity gave him up. Malissa was on a roll when she asked her mother how she could live with herself. The fact that La Loca has mental problems is reason to give her up. It seems to me Connie doesn't get it. I always knew Max was no different from La Loca. Pressuring your elder son into a loveless marriage just to spite CL. What a family!! Luci is well rid of them.

I recapped the first with Gagme and Dead To Me, I was so happy when they didn't get married, and I also recapped Luci and Rod's wedding. That was a beautiful one. I am glad you are doing this one, I couldn't take another Rod and Gagme wedding.
UA- so with you about Melissa. I am so glad she is the one that told her Moms and her Tia to basically go to Hades, over what they had done. Conny needs to wake up, stop enabling her loca sister, and do the right thing.
