Abismo de pasión #135 9/21/12: R.I.P. Little Gabby

Clinic:  Florencia gives Paloma a sob story about not being able to buy Prada anymore because her father died and left her penniless.  Paloma takes her new BFF to Dr. Tovar for a job.  Dr. Tovar, thinking that he might have a chance with his son’s hot ex-girlfriend agrees to grant her an interview.  Florencia starts out by saying that when she divorced Damien, she knew that she would have to make it on her own.  She just needs a horny old man, who happens to be a doctor, to believe in her and give her a chance.  She bats her eyelashes at him for emphasis.  Paloma pipes in and reminds the doctor that she also didn’t know how to type, turn on a computer, file, answer a telephone or read good when she first started working for him.  He took a chance and hired her as office eye-candy and look at her now!  She’s a unwed pregnant chick who still can’t file, type, answer a telephone or read good!  After hearing that rousing speech, Dr. Tovar agrees to hire Florencia on a two-week probation.  He wants Paloma to train Florencia to wear short dresses and with plunging necklines.  Everyone’s happy.
Playa:  Damien and Elisa have officially stopped mating like their rabbits at the end of the world.  Their clothes are back on and Dam is still not happy about it.  Elisa is sitting at the shoreline daintily pointing her toes.  Damien tells her that he jealous and loves her to death.  He’s upset because Gall got to have sex with her first.  How could she have sex with someone that she was going to marry?  He only had sex with Florencia a lot before they got married.  Once he married Florencia, he was celibate and stayed faithful to Elisa.  Elisa doesn’t want to hear his “man logic” or “man speak”.  She tells him to shut up and get away from her.  Dam wants to solve their problems before they get to La Ermita; he doesn’t like to see her cry.  Dam Fine believes that Elisa might use this argument to get back together with Gall.  Elisa tells Dam Fine that she wants to be with the man that she gave herself to with all of her love, body and soul.  Dam Fine says, great!  He will return her to Gael ASAP!  Elisa looks disappointed that Dam Fine doesn’t believe that he was her first lover and sinks down into the sand.  She has conveniently forgotten that she told Dam Fine that she was the town tramp and that Gael was the best lover that she has ever had.
Clinic Reception Area:  It’s plausible that anyone who plotted to kidnap two babies with a child molester/rapist/extortionist and faked a pregnancy for six months can be redeemed overnight.    Florencia thanks Paloma for getting her a gig with Dr. Tovar.  Florencia doesn’t want Paloma to think that Florencia is only taking the job in order to get close to Enrique.  She doesn’t want to fight will Paloma.  Paloma tells Florencia that she knows that Florencia still has the hots for Enrique.  She tells Florencia that Enrique is still wants her too.  Paloma admits that her baby is not Enrique’s and that he’s never touched her.  She explains that Enrique is a gentleman who took the blame in order to stop gossip about her.  Enrique wanted to give her child a last name.  Paloma admits that Gall knocked her up, but tells Paloma that Gall does not know anything about the baby.  Paloma makes Florencia give a vow of silence.  Florencia tells Paloma that she’s happy that she and Enrique will not marry.  Paloma tells Florencia to fight for Enrique if she loves him.  Dr. Tovar eavesdrops on the other side of a wall.  Florencia will make a great lying low-down snake-in-the grass bride for his son, he thinks.
Dr. Tovar’s Home Living Room:  Dr. Tovar rushes home.  Enrique is sitting in the dark.  Enrique says that he feels sad.  Dr. Tovar tells him to snap out of it; he asks how Sabrina is doing.  Enrique tells his father that Sabrina is with her Mrs. Kravitz because Mrs. Kravitz is depressed after discovering her husband was sleeping with her best friend.  Dr. Tovar tells Enrique that Florencia, who cannot type, answer a phone or turn on a computer is his new secretary.  She’ll be a great asset to the office once she shortens those skirts.  Dr. Tovar tells Enrique that Florencia is a changed woman.  He explains that Florencia is staying in La Ermita in order to hook up with Enrique.  Enrique doesn’t know if he still loves Florencia.  Dr. Tovar suspects that his son has fallen in love with Paloma.
Witch Mountain Kitchen Table:  Ramona tells Paloma that she’s proud of her for helping Florencia get a job.  Paloma starts crying and says that she’s felt like a big disappointment to her grandmother.  Ramona tells Paloma that she’s never been ashamed of her.  She just wanted a better life for her.  Ramona feels like a failure.  Paloma tells Ramona that she taught her to be a strong woman who cries constantly and throws herself at unavailable men.  She will teach her son to be strong.  She doesn’t need a man to help her.  Ramona wants to know when they are leaving.  Paloma will train Florencia and they should leave at the end of the week.
Cenote:  Paloma, dressed in a simple white low-cut party dress is strolling through the cenote when she encounters her “father”, Gabino, who strangely does not appear a day older that she is.  It must be because of his diet and great jeans (yeah, I meant to say that).  Paloma tells her father (she does not know that he is her father) not to bother thanking her for saving his life; she would have done the same thing for a stray dog.  Gabby thanks her but tells her that he’s not there for that.  Gabino demands to know where Damien and Elisa went.  Gabby reminds Paloma that she is the one who blabbed about Damien and Elisa hiding in a cave.  Paloma tells him that she is not afraid of him anymore.  When Paloma isn’t forthcoming with the information, Gabino literally lifts her off of her feet (like he did when she was a child) and tries shaking the information out of her.  Suddenly, Ramona appears out of the clear blue and orders Gabino to put Paloma down; they don’t know where Damien took Elisa.  He can’t go around picking up pregnant chicks and shaking them like that!  Who does that?  Gabino puts her down and begins to walk away!  He turns back to Dr. Granny Clampett, calls her a witch and asks what paste she used to treat him.  Ramona says, “your momma’s a witch”.  Then she says that it was something that her mother taught her.  Gabby wants to buy it.  Ramona tells him that her brews are not for sale and even if they were, he wouldn’t get it.
Casa de Mickey and Mallory (who is in a shallow grave somewhere on the property):  DamLisa has returned to La Hermita and are again decked out in their wedding finery.  Damien asked Elisa why she got off of the horse.  Elisa who is wearing some white F-me pumps expects me to believe that she has been walking in them when we all know that walking is not what those heels were made for.   Ahem…Back to the recap.  Smelling of a horses a$$, the ocean, all types of body exchanged bodily fluids and general body O Dear! (thank you Richard Pryor), the first stop on their itinerary is Carmina/Rosendo/Gabino/Ingrid’s Love Shack.  Thank goodness that Smellevision has not been invented as of yet.  No one will fault them for breaking in and taking a much needed shower!  Damien ties Silver to a tree.  He wants to know why they are there.  Elisa says that Carmina says that the house belonged to Estefania and Rosendo.  Damien says that he’s caught Carmina there twice.
Casa de Arango Foyer:  Carmina has come to see Alfonsina.  Carmina wants to discuss the names on the plane tickets.  Carmina asks Alfonsina if she will prepare Dam’s funeral because everyone that Elisa hangs out with dies.  Alfonsina grabs her chest and breathes funny.
Casa de Mickey and dead Mallory:  Dam Fine wants to know where Elisa is going.  She says that she is going to see her godfather.  Little Dam is thoroughly exhausted and drained, so he has been letting Big Dam do all of the thinking and talking for them.  Dam jealous wants to know if Elisa is going to look for Gael.  After Elisa leaves, Dam Fine notices some freshly packed dirt with a shovel on top.  Hmmmm what could it be?  He bends down to get a closer look.  Gabino sneaks up on him and knocks him out cold with a rock.
Hacienda Arango:  Gabby, assisted by Vincente and followed by Padre Lupe carries Dam Fine into the living room dumps him on the sofa.  Padre wants to know what Gabby did to Dam Fine.  Alfonsina told Gabby to retrieve Dam.  She didn’t say to hurt him.  Padre wants to know where Elisa is and starts going off on Gabby.  Vincente mean mugs the Padre.  Gabby doesn’t know and leaves.
Casa de Don Lucio:  When Dolores sees Elisa, she is both relieved and overjoyed!  She has been so worried about Elisa!  No, we didn’t call the cops, but we scarfed down some delicious Tostachos and guac while we speculated about where Damien might have taken you at gun point!  I was so worried that I forgot to buy drinks so we had to choke those chips down.  Dolores wants to know if Dam Fine hurt or touched Elisa.  Define “touch”.   Elisa doesn’t want to talk about it.  Elisa explains that she is more in love with Dam Fine than ever!  Dolores says that Gall has lost his mind; Gall is threatening to kill Dam.  Elisa says that she will go talk to him after she showers hopefully.
Hacienda Arango:  Dam Fine is awake.  Padre points out that the plumbing is still working and the bathroom is just down the hall (just in case Dam would like to shower), but before he uses the facilities, Padre has a few questions for him.  What happened?  Gabby must have hit him hard because Dam doesn’t remember that was bending down, looking at what appeared to be a freshly covered Goliath grave when he was hit from behind.  Lupe explains that Alfonsina sent Gabby on a search and recovery mission.  Oh yeah, Padre also wanted to know why Dam Fine kidnapped Elisa from the altar in the middle of her nuptials.  What you did was awful, Damien!  Ya kidnap one chick at gunpoint and everyone has a problem with it.  Padre wants to know where Elisa went.  Did you kill her?  No, she went to Don Lucio’s house.  Damien wants to know where him mother is; he needs to talk to her.  She’s in her bedroom, says Padre.  The doctor says that she’s sick.  Damien doesn’t believe it.  Padre assures him that Alfonsina is certainly knocking on heaven’s door.
Casa de Gael and Elisa Had she not Been Kidnapped by Dam Fine:  Elisa has come to visit Gael!  Commerical!
Back to Casa de Gael and Elisa Had She Not Been Kidnapped by Dam Fine:  Gall is holding Elisa in his arms.  He kisses her and does a quick body scan in order to make those boobies are still perky.  Gall notices that she is not as happy to see him as he is to see her.  Gall wants to know if she is still going to marry him.  If we leave now, we can have our civil ceremony and I can have you back home and out of that blouse by 6 pm!  Elisa clears her throat.  No, um do you remember the day that Dam Fine kidnapped me while on horseback and at gun point from our wedding?  Ahem, yes, well, this is a funny story.  We’ll both laugh when I’m done.  He took me to a beach and he started coughing.  Well then, I felt sorry for him because he is so dam fine.  So, I stole his horse and anyways, I got him some medication (that’s when I called my godfather) from the drug store.   He looked so sexy and pitiful laying in that corner and well…my clothes fell off. It just happened…several times, in several different positions and in several different places on the beach.  Elisa apologizes.  I’m sorry that I had boiling hot nasty sex with Dam over and over and over again!  Gall puts her out!  He doesn’t want to see her ever again.  He breaks all of his furniture.
Hacienda de Arango Alfonsina’s Bedroom:   Alfonsina wants to know if Elisa had anything to do with kidnapping herself (huh?).  Damien says that Elisa had nothing to do with it.  He explains how the plan unfolded.  We, the viewers, find out that Little Dam was the true master mind.  As we are aware, because of the faked pregnancy, Dam had not had sex in six months and he was in a foul mood after several “obvious revelations” from his wife.  Florencia reminded Dam that Elisa was getting married.  Little Dam figured that since Elisa was getting married that morning, sex was most definitely part of her evening agenda.   And bodabazing!  I got my gun, I got my horse and I stole the bride.   All Little Dam did was take Little Gall’s place.  It was that simple.  Alfonsina tells Damien that Florencia and Elisa plotted to destroy her.  Alfonsina wants Dam Fine to promise to forget Elisa forever. Dam Fine does not; little Dam will not allow it.  Alfonsina grabs her chest and sinks back down onto the bed.
Clinic:  Paloma is talking to her new BFF Florencia on the phone.  Elisa walks through the door.  The two women look at each other.  Paloma walks around the desk and the two former friends embrace.  I was so hoping that Paloma would slug her.
Casa de Castanon:  Gabby stops by to share some news with Carmina.  Elisa is back in town.  Carmina wants Gall to kill Damien like he's been saying he would.  Gabby brings Carmina a necklace.  She begins to thank him appropriately on the table in the foyer.
Clinic:  Elisa tearfully tells Paloma that she did some freaky things with Damien at the beach.  He violated me and it was wonderful!  She wants to do it again; however, Damien is acting all jealous of Gall.  Again, I would feel much better if Paloma would punch her.  Elisa goes on to explain that she told Gall that she had sex with Dam over and over and over again.  Gall feels betrayed and never wants to see her again.  Paloma says that Gall has his nerve, but she doesn’t tell Elisa that she slept with Gall and is knocked up by him.
Casa de Don Lucio:  When Don Lucio returns home.  Dolores jumps all over him.  Don Lucio says that he was out doing some freaky things with Maru, but that is nobody’s bidness but his and Maru’s.  Elisa presents herself before her godfather.  Damien calls and tells Elisa that they have to meet.
Hacienda Arango:  Gael marches up to the house, but Alfonsina’s henchman stop him from coming on to the property.  Gall is yelling so loudly, that his voice can be heard inside Alfonsina’s bedroom.  Tonia freaks out and tells her that Gall has promised to kill Damien for stealing his bride at gunpoint.
Plaza:  Both Damien and Elisa are showered so I can concentrate on the story again.  Elisa tells Dam that Gael hates her guts.  She told Gall everything.  Damien takes her hand.  He’s says some crazy stuff to her so she puts her hand on her hip.  She moves close to him and seems to want to kiss him, but instead tells Dam that she never wants to see him again.  Little Dam has allowed Big Dam to do all of the thinking and Big Dam is screwing it up.  Elisa walks off.
Casa de Castanon:  Oh no she didn’t!  Carmina put Gabby out of her bed.  Apparently, Gabby can’t perform anymore.  He can’t do some things.  Gabby wants another shot at it.  Wait until his viagara kicks in.  Carmina is bored.  Gabby leaves.
Hacienda de Arango:  Alfonsina is waiting in the foyer.  She tells Damien that Gall stopped by to kill him.

Cantina:  Gall orders the biggest bottle of tequila that is legally possible.  He is pouring himself a shot when Gabby walks in and orders a beer.  Gabby notices Gall at a nearby table and taunts him about getting punked in front of the entire town.  Gabby hands Gall a pistol and tells him to handle his business.  We all know that Dam has a gun, so Gall should have one too.

Cynderella - Bless your heart, for having to actually pay attention to all that dialogue last night:
Elisa lines. Damian lines. Elisa lines. Damian lines. Blah blah blah. I think the FFWD--> button on my remote won't last much longer.

What we learned last night:

Elisa can be honest about how she feels to Gael, but not honest about how she feels to Damian.

Elisa couldn't do any kissing scenes for 2/3rd of the show because of that big cold sore she had (which wasn't there the last 15 minutes of the show).

Lolita needs to get a life and a job instead of worrying about Elisa all day*.

Toña's boobs announce visitors at Hacienda Harango

Enrique had a sad about being dumped by Paloma & Edmundo thinks it's b/c he's fallen in love with her.

Alfonsina learned she can't change her spots.

Lil Gabino learned he didn't want to get up in Carmina's cesspool of evil.

Gael learned he is the new Augusto.**

AVANCE: Gael will learn how Augusto felt behind bars.

*What happened with Horacio's butchery? Did Lolita shut it down or hire somebody to cut the meat?

**Ok, Gael? You are the new Augusto. Did you see how Original Augusto treated Elisa? You saw how that didn't endear Original Augusto to Elisa, didn't you? So you think acting like Augusto 2.0, brandishing guns, turning into a rage monkey, drowning your sorrows in alcohol and generally being bitter is a good look? Ok, then. Carry on.

Always love your humor Cynderella. The credit to Gabino's good "jeans", your secret wish that Paloma would deck Elisa (I second the motion!) and your wise assessment of little Dam's fatigue and big Dam's screwups.

Even if Damian and Elisa finally marry, I give it six months tops. They are both just too stupid to live much less make a relationship work! Arrrggggh.

I'm worried about Gabino. Or about little Gabino anyway. I'm going to assume you are too. Call me!

I will repeat to you what I said about Sylvia's recap. If I were to quote all the funny lines, I would just be retyping the entire recap. Very funny and very well done. Now I have 2 hilarious and well written recaps to follow. Yikes!

Loved Little Dam vs Big Dam. I was thinking the same thing about Gab and Paloma looking the same age. Some men never age. He's supposed to be at least 18 years older.

Cynderella - Great recap - Thank you!

I think it's a telenovela rule that….. now that Florencia knows Gael is Paloma's baby daddy, he will learn of this from Flor.

Alfie's redemption was rather short-lived.

Paloma has no clue how tough it will be to get a job in a new city *and* be a single parent. With her skills, how will she get a job she can live off as well as pay for child care? Argh! I am thinking rationally and must stop it, right now.

Poor Gabs. He can't satisfy Carmina because of the world's oldest excuse (LOL), he's got a headache.

DamLisa are both too dysfunctional and co-dependent to have a successful marriage.

Bless you Cynderella for offering such an entertaining recap!! I much prefer your dialog, er interpretation, than what we were subjected to.

They are turning Gael into a total looney-tune. C'mon. Dude knew Elisa always had the hots for Dam Stoopid, this is a total ignoring of the history of these people. Like to take those fuzzy tipped gel pens of the writers and....I digress.

As for Paloma, well of course she's gonna hug and be happy for her BFF because Elisa's behavior has meant her Gael was back being alone and miserable. That's true love for you.

Poor Gabs. Man, finally gets the dudette of his dreams, and blasted Little Gabby went on vacation. Now,there's justice for you.

I wish people in this town would stop giving each other guns because not one person knows how to use one. well, I'll qualify that--the MEN don't know how to use one. Carmina could make a fortune teaching how to aim. I'm sure Gael will hit the water tower or kill someone's horse when he starts brandishing that thing. But the jail was getting lonely, and they need to get their money's worth out of the set piece...so someone needed to end up there.

Where the h*** is Horacio already????

Querida Cynderella,

You are a scream.

Your assessment of Paloma's office skills had me snorting.

What is it about Doctor Tovar? He expresses the most insane plans in the calmest, most convincing manner. ("What I"m about to say is completely batshit, but my tone and delivery will make it appear as though I"ve given this matter careful consideration and have reached a logical conclusion.") For a second, he had me thinking it really *was* a good idea to hire Florencia.

Oh, man, Ramona was too funny telling Gabino that his Granmaw was a witch. Speaking of Gabs, I'm a little worried Paloma's safety.

Sleazy womanizer + bullet in the brain + ED problems = holy shit! Plus, it kind of freaks me out that the two actors playing Gabs and Paloma were an item. It's just a TV show, but ick.

As for Paloma, I hope she doesn't leave town. Maybe she can open a Tostacho stand . . . or inherit Gab's property when that anvil finally slams him.

As for Elisa & Gael. Yawn. Then again, their first day back at the office should be interesting.

So funny! Loved the part about how Damien tied Silver to a tree. I didn't see this episode, but I could totally visualize it from the recap. Thanks!

Cynderella, you never disappoint. I haven't watched the epi, but I read the recap twice. Does that count?

Favorite lines:

- Look at her now! She’s a unwed pregnant chick who still can’t file, type, answer a telephone or read good!

- Florencia will make a great lying low-down snake-in-the grass bride for his son.

- Paloma tells Ramona that she taught her to be a strong woman who cries constantly and throws herself at unavailable men.

- Alfonsina is waiting in the foyer. She tells Damien that Gall stopped by to kill him.

...and #1:

- Thank goodness that Smellevision has not been invented as of yet.

(Seriously, I have never been so appalled at the imaginary lack of grooming of imaginary people. How is it that it can make me nauseous in real life?)

Cynderella- I forgot to set my dvr to record this last night, but I find there is no need to worry about it. Your recap was so vivid, and FUNNY, that I'm sure it beats the original by a mile.

So Gabi can't get it up, and it's the fault of his headache? Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Would Doc have hired Flo if he knew that she plotted to steal Sabrina's baby?

Anon at 5:21. Good point about Paloma inheriting Gab's fortune. Not sure about how much fortune there will be after everything is returned to the rightful owner though.

And she will have to split everything with Vincente.

Cynderella once again you made gold out of straw. As doris noted there was so much filler.

Since Gall is supposed to be Augusto #2 does that mean he won't make it to the end of the TN?

Cheers: Últimas semanas! Maybe five or six more weeks of this mess. The evil characters are so much more interesting than our soiled dove Elisa. The writers are killing them off much too fast. I'm hoping that Horatio dug up Ingrid while she was still alive and the two will reappear to cause pain and suffering to Gabino and Carmina. Viewerville wonders if all the murders and murderers will be revealed before the final act.

Cynderella, seriously, you should write material for stand ups. this was SOOOO funny.
loved your description of Paloma's office skills, Paloma telling Ramona what she taught her to be, and Elisa's confession to Gael and description to Lolita of what she had been up to.
And Dam little and Dam big...

Ramona should market that avocado rub as having Lorena Bobbit's effect without the use of a knife... left Gabino not only sterile but impotent. LOVE IT!!

And Evil twin Gael was on wrecking mode in his reaction to Elisa. I agree, he is Augusto 2, hopefully evil twin will shoot himself and send original Gael back before the finale...
Ultimas semanas! good, then we all will get our lives back and the original writers in a new story. these current writers should go back to elementary school. especially on what they have done to Gael, Elisa and Dam as of late.

Poor Loopy... i am sure he would blame himself if this ended up in a bloody confrontation between brothers.
HORACIO!! WHERE ARE YOU??!!

Cynderella, what a great and funny recap!!! Every paragraph had me laughing hysterically!!!

Why do they always break furniture when they things don't go their way???

I'll bet anything Horacio saved Ingrid.

Ann-NYC

Cynderella--So many funny lines and paragraphs. I particularly liked:

He took a chance and hired her as office eye-candy and look at her now! She’s a unwed pregnant chick who still can’t file, type, answer a telephone or read good!

I agree with those who think Horacio saved Ingrid. Because, outside of those darn plane tickets, what or who else can prove to Alphonsina (and everyone else) that Carmina is really the guilty one? I have to say, as much as Ingrid irritated, I would love to see her sweep in and scare the bejeesus out of Gab.

One question, did Elisa tell Gael she slept with Damian or just that she could have escaped and chose not to. That whole scene was a little hard to follow.

Thanks, Cynderella!

Katy

Cynderella, this is excellent. You pointed out the supreme illogic that this series has become.

I want two pounds of whatever the writers were smoking when they wrote this.

The only thing that made any sense was the idea that Gabino would kill Damian and make Gael look like the guilty party. Which we knew could not happen because Damian has to survive to marry Elisa (who needs a few infusions of new brain cells).

Thanks for the recap Cynderella.

"Paloma tells Ramona that she taught her to be a strong woman who cries constantly and throws herself at unavailable men."

HAHAHAHA.

It's funny Damián doesn't believe he was Elisa's first, since in the first version Pablo noticed he was Julia's first and asked her why she lied to him about having been with other men before. I think Damián might be a selfish lover lol.

I haven't had the time to watch much television in the last couple of months but I feel like a whole new barr of Telenovelas is starting soon. I'll try to check them out to see how good or bad they are.

"Amores Verdaderos", which came after Abismo, makes this novela look like a work of art. Maybe Univision will skip it because people in Mexico have beem trashing it non stop since it started. Too bad because Sebastián Rulli is so hot but he is miscast in the role.

The promos for the new telenovela fro, Jose Alberto Castro (Teresa, LQNPA), "Corona de Lágrimas", look the best out of all. It's the first version of a radionovela that my mom used to listen to when she was young, there's been a movie but not a telenovela before. The plan so far is only 100 episodes but that can change, hopefully not.

The promos for Mejía's version of La Hija del Mariachi are very pretty, almost make me forget he will produce it but then I remember and recoil.

Fernando Colunga's comedy has only a couple of promos out. It looks fine but there's nothing that special about them yet.

We'll see how the stories go.

Jarocha

Did Mejia have any hand in the latter part of this novela? Maybe I am imagining things, but it seems like there is a huge disconnect from what we saw in the beginning and what we are getting now.

Maybe the emotional abuse both of the lead characters suffered as children and adults have caused the them to be the way they are now, but they both (Elisa/Damian) seem so stunted emotionally it's hard to watch them anymore.

Looks like Assgusto and Alfa Witch were able to succeed as emotional abusers and now, it's all coming home to roost.

You are hilarious, Cynderella. Love your comments!

Add me to the list of those who think Meh-ía stepped in and has been writing/directing/producing the second half of this telenovela! It has become a bit of a circo, making less sense than FELS.

"Amores Verdaderos", which came after Abismo, makes this novela look like a work of art
Oh noes! (Jejejejeje)

I just called to say : this was hysterical!!! What a delight, it's a must read twice recap. Thanks much
Yola

Thanks, Jarocha! Just ran off to Wikipedia to check out "Corona de Lágrimas." Looks promising -- Julieta Rosen is in it, and also Luis Gatica, both Caray favorites.

Thanks Jarocha for your tips on what tns to look out for and which to miss!

Cynderella, what a scathingly brilliant recap of a rather ho-hum episode. You really managed to elucidate the funniest perspective imaginable for every darn scene. Thank you for that. I literally howled from beginning to end as I watched the episode tonight.

Your title made me suspect but I couldn't believe Little Gab would fail us. All for the fault of a headache, bwahaha! Maybe Carmina doesn't arouse Gabina quite as much as crazy Ingrid did? Marta, I totally agree with you that Ramona put the limp hex on Gabino!

I won't repeat my favorite lines because they have already been mentioned. I just want to say that I am absolutely delighted to be on the same recapping team with you. Actually with all of you Abismo recappers. You all seem to be able to make diamonds out of coal on a daily basis.

cathyx, I think your question is excellent. Would Doc have hired Flor is he knew she intended to kidnap Sabrina's baby? Dunno but in telenovelalandia people come up with the craziest excuses for abhorrent behavior. If Enrique can forgive Flor...

And finally, Jarocha it is always great to hear from you. Thank you for the heads up on upcoming telenovelas.

Whew! Finally caught up. Good episode, if not as entertaining as the recap (how *could* it be???)

Katy, Elisa did indeed spill the frijoles to Gael. He said, "Did he dare to touch you?" and she answered, "Yes, and I LET HIM." Ouch.

After reading Cynderella's recap a second time, over the weekend, I finally figured out who "little Gabby" was. Duh. I am so dense.

Oh well, I guess he'll be wearing a third bandana now . . .

Doris, you crack me up. Is the third bandana for lifting support?

I think the 3rd bandana is to make Little Gabby look mo' dangerous. ;}

Well you succeeded in cracking me up again, Cynderella. Great job once again. I eagerly look forward to your recaps each Saturday.

Poor Gabino, I suppose a bullet in the head could account for that. I hate to think that Ramona is responsible... toadifying him would have been kinder... he could have been a... wait for it... horny toad.

More and more I'm thinking that Horacio may have rescued Ingrid... I sure hope so.

Carlos

Dear Cynderella--Put on your glass slippers and gown and dance with your prince.

I started to watch Abismo when los principales were chamacos, but once Estefania and Rosendo left the scene, I stopped watching (Orange is NOT my color).

However, once in awhile I scan the recaps to see what those folks are up to (apparently for Gaby, nothing).

Today the following caught my eye (with two words in bold):

>>He’s upset because Gall got to have sex with her first. How could she have sex with someone that she was going to marry? He only had sex with Florencia a lot before they got married. Once he married Florencia, he was celibate and stayed faithful to Elisa. Elisa doesn’t want to hear his “man logic” or “man speak”.

I had to read the whole thing. I don't think I've ever laughed out loud so much. I didn't think this telenovela was a comedy, but somehow you communicated that so eloquently.

Glad you aren't doing Amor Bravio, I don't think it would bear up under such wickedness (and laughter).
Anita, lo de Refugio y AB

Carlos, a "horny toad", bwahahahahaaa! OMG dude, you are totally killing me.
