Abismo de pasión #123 9/4/12: The News Spreads—Gabino Took A Bullet In The Head and Damian’s The Shooter

La Ermita Health Center – The Drama Unfolds
Ingrid has really lost it. In a voice shrill with hysteria, her face busted and bruised, bloody lip and side curls drooping she begs E. Tovar, M.D. to make sure that Gabino  Mendoza dies of his gunshot wound to the head. No, she is not kidding. With Gabino alive she will have no peace…Edmundo naturally thinks she is just upset. HIS Ingrid doesn’t mean this. He cannot just let Gabino die. He is a doctor and besides, it is better for Damian if Gabino doesn’t die. Ingrid twists the meaning of his reply, “Oh, so Damian is more important to you than I am”! As Edmundo tries to calm the ranting woman, she pulls away and says, “Don’t touch me, I want to be alone”. Edmundo leaves her twitching in some waiting room at the hospital.

In Dr. Tovar’s Office Paloma and Quique have THE News
In Dr. Tovar’s office, Paloma sits anxiously. Heaven forefend that she should be working when Dr. Tovar is off on some emergency. Enrique comes in and they have a sweet conversation. She is excited to be having this baby, even thought her grandmother thinks she is making all the wrong decisions. Enrique tells her not to worry; as far as he is concerned the baby IS his. He offers to make a real go of it as a couple and kisses her gently on the lips—as Gael walks in.

Gael is shocked but when QuiQue says that he and Paloma are an item, he tells Paloma that he hopes she finds what she has been looking for. She is happy with her man, she claims for the first time in a long time. Enrique tells Gael they are expecting a child. Gael is muy upset.

Gael looks like someone smacked him upside the head with a wet burrito. He doesn’t believe it.  She is not in love with Enrique. She is too! Paloma snaps and he should not forget it again! He congratulated the happy couple and gives them his news—Damian has shot Gabino!

Carmina Gets the News
Carmina runs into Delores right as she is leaving for the Health Center to be with Elisa. Lolita tells Carmina that her FRIEND, her ASSOCIATE or her BELOVED Gabino Mendoza was shot in the head by Damian.

The News Travels to Horacio’s Shed
Alfonsina pays Horacio a visit and accuses him of shooting Gabino. Horacios smiles when he asks if Gabino is dead, but the Black Widow says that he is in grave condition at the Health Center. Well, demands Alfie, if it wasn’t you then who shot him?  Calm down, Horacio tells her. The matter is out of Alfonsina’s hands.

Elisa Visits Damian In Jail and Gets Some Completely Different News

Elisa asks Damian how he is doing and he says very well, thanks for coming. (Really, Damian? You are very well?) Elisa says she came because he shouldn’t be alone. He says the lawyer is taking care of everything. They begin to talk about his upcoming nuptials. He doesn’t want to lie in front of God, be married in the Church to a woman he doesn’t love—He is doing it for duty, nothing else. Then you are being manipulated by Flo and your Mother.

Elisa asks why and Damian comes out with the whole story. He is not sorry. He did it for Elisa, to save her inheritance of the greenhouses.  The only way his mother would not take legal action against Elisa’s for her debt—was if Damian met Alfonsina’s condition. One, he had to stay in La Ermita and Two, he had to marry Florencia in the church. Now there is some fine hand porn as these two touch through the bars of the jail cell.

Now they go back and forth about how he is happy to help her and his friends. She calls him a fool. He tells her that she lied about being in love with Gael. He tells her to go and be happy with Gael. Elisa is crying and when Damian asks why she grabs him though the bars and pulls him to within kissing distance.  Elisa tells him—Because right now, my whole heart and soul are with him…AANNDD the door opens behind her as Flo comes into the jail cell area. Elisa leaves and Flo thanks her for coming. Damian fights back tears as he calls, “Adios, Elisa”.

Back At The Health Center There Is More News For Alfonisna
Alfonsina enters and asks Dr. Tovar how Gabino is . He is alive but grave. Alfie cuts to the chase, in Edmundo’s best medical opinion, Will Gabino live? Edmundo reiterates that once the specialist sees Gabino they will know more. It is possible, but there is no saying how his cognitive functioning will be. There are many documented cases of a patient recovering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Alfonsina want to know who shot Gabino. It was your son, Edmundo replies. No, no…Alfonsina faints to the floor.

At The Jail
Florencia says she noticed that Damian and Elisa seemed to be having a MOMENT when she came into the cell.  Elisa was crying and very close to you…Damian says he is very anxious in the jail. Flo says she is there to support him.

Damian breaks the news that he thinks that, given the circumstances, they had best cancel the upcoming Church wedding and celebration. Flo is a bit menacing as she replies that it is a shame, many people are counting on the outcome of their marriage. He apologizes and acts the part of the perfectly supportive wife. Don’t worry, Flo croons, what is important is YOU, Damian. Well, your recapper thinks that Flo has more than just a fake-baby up her sleeve. She is being far too nice here for my liking.

Moving The Story Along
·      Carmina reflects on the Good Times with Gabino. Well, not really but she does recall their hot sexo.
·      Guadalupe and Gael have another yet conversation about Elisa not loving Gael, etc, etc.  ‘Lupe asks if he spoke with Ramona yet. No. Lupe looks sick.
·      Gael tells Lupe about Ingrid, Gabino and the shot heard around La Ermita.
·      Gael, Lupe and Ingrid run into one another in the Plaza. Lupe insists that Ingrid be his guest at the Rectory. Meanwhile, Gael is finally falling for her sob story and offers to accompany her to the Hacienda so she can get her things.

Gabino Receives Some Visitors
The OO-whoo-oo music begins as Horacio, dressed in blue scrubs with a mask over his face comes into Gabino’s room. The scene is a little Shakespearian, as Horacio lowers his mask and says, “Thanks for everything, Gabino. For giving me one last chance to change my life . He gets closer and speaks right into Gabino’s face, “For turning me into a murderer”.

His back is to the camera as Delores walks into the room and addresses him as ‘Doctor’. She asks for permission to enter. He ignores her and doesn’t answer. Elisa walks in and Horacio makes a quick getaway without Delores seeing his face.

In Another Room At The Hospital
·      Alfonsina is propped up in a bed. Elisa visits her and wants to help Damian. Elisa tells Alfie that Damian acted in defense of Ingrid. Alfie is a bitch to Elisa and Flo comes in the room. Elisa leaves.
·      Flo asks Alfonsina what is wrong with her. Alfie thanks her for asking, but Florencia quickly takes the wind out of Alife’s sails. In the best line of the night, Florencia states,
·      “It is a shame, Alfonsina, that you did not have a heart attack”. Pow! Score one for Florencia!
·      Padre Lupe comes in and offers to take Alfonsina to see Damian in jail.
·      Elisa tells Don Lucio the news about Damian and Gabino.

In Gabino’s Room
Carmina comes in, leans over Gabino and…starts beating him in the chest with her fists. He doesn’t respond. Wow. She calls him an imbecile. Edmundo comes in and asks why Carmina is there. Do they have a relationship? Carmina snaps that Gabino WORKS for her. Then she rags on Edmundo for having a relationship with Gabino’s lover., a woman like THAT. Edmundo defends Ingrid’s honor and makes a delusional statement about his lover, “She is a decent woman, a good woman who has suffered much”. Carmina comes back with, “You are right Edmundo. Ingrid is EXACTLY the kind of woman you deserve”.

Comments:
Hola! I forgot to mention that Horacio went to Blaca's grave to apologize for killing her. He made sure to tell dead Blaquita that he acted at Gabino Mendoza's direction. Perhaps he hopes Blanca will pass the blame on to Gabino.

I am not quite sure of the theological implications of this confession. Is it hell for Horacio if he is 'fessed up, repentant and deeply sorry that he murdered an innocent woman?

Stay tuned...

EJ

Hooray! I get to comment before I go to dreamland for the night. EJ, who knew one could do a concise recap but still retain the storytelling, or is it newsflash, format? I think you are one of the few who can pull it off.

I thought the last scene with Horacio confessing to Blanca's grave was very interesting. I guess the guilt of killing an innocent victim has been gnawing at him. My question is, would he feel as bad if he killed his intended victim Lucio? Just wondering aloud here.

EJ, I loved "fine hand porn" and "she does recall their hot sexo". Two superb LOL moments. And ITA that Flor's line was the best of the evening. It's fun watching Alfonsina forced to maintain her dignity after Flor sticks it to her like that.

Thanks for the terrific recap! You did an amazing job of editing out the incessant blabbing and translating the key moments. Sweet dreams EJ.

Perfect EJ. I admit to having a hard time staying focused when certain characters are on the screen anymore ( II that would be you), so I appreciate our recappers great work so I get all the details.

I miss a walking-talking Gab, so I'm actually hoping we get that miracle cure we should expecting from this TN. I mean they've done every other cliche. This TN needs Salvadore fun menacing to keep this interesting. Then he can burn in hell at the end.

I guess Horacio's asking for forgiveness is the writer's way to work up to a redemption for Horacio. I do remember how reluctant he was to bomb the location period, so I'm thinking he would have had some remorse even if it was Lucio. But the fact it was Blanca, and then falling for Delores, that made all the difference in how much he regretted what he did.

So let the "Gael really loves Pal" plot line begin. I'm really going to hate the manuevering of the three couples that I'm sure is coming. I wish they had done a better job with the personalities of these young'uns to make us feel good about all this.

EJ, you've done it. Mastered concise while still keeping in the wit and humor.

Loved "Heaven forfend". That word forfend just delights me and I hear it so seldom.

Other gems: "smacked him upside the head with a wet burrito"
"more than a fake baby up her sleeve" and your noting that "you should have had a heart attack!" was the best line of the night.

I was just cracking up as this parade of folks spewing who knows what kind of germs sashay into the room of a man barely clinging to life! And Good Lord, pounding on Gabino's chest! (well at least she didn't boff him in the head, but still!) Clearly the visiting strictures for intensive care are...well, interesting.

I thought Enrique was absolutely adorable with Paloma last night. So warm, so supportive, so excited about the baby. Can we clone him and provide him for every lonely single mother in the Universe? What a doll.

Like Daisynjay, bummed to think Paloma will end up with Gael and Enrique with Florencia (at least I think that's where the writers are going) 'cause I still love Enrique and Paloma together. But shoot, these writers never ask me! And they should!

Thanks EJ. Well crafted and much appreciated mi alma.

EJ, awesome recap. loved the same ones Sylvia listed. so i won't repeat. Also loved the 'Gael smacked over head with a wet burrito'. LOL!

I remember when Gael told Paloma he was not buying into her 'falling for Enrique' that she told him 'don't think you are ALL THAT'.. which, although Paloma does not really mean it, it was exactly what Gael deserved.. You can't eat the cake and eat it too while keeping the pie as backup in the pantry, boy! grow up!! (totally think it is BELONEY that Gael can't put two and two together when Paloma is about to marry Enrique and Padre Loopy asks him if he spoke to Ramona and gets so scared when Gael says no...)

LOVED LOVED Florencia attitude in Damian's cell. i think her dad's death had A LOT to do with her change of attitude toward Damian and Elisa... and i still think she will come clean with Damian to fulfill her promise to her dad to 'straighten up her life'.

Feeling sick for Edmundo... he married a bad choice of a woman, has had affairs with both the villainesses of the show... (not with Alfie because she is a one-man-woman). but sadly have to admit he is getting what he asked for.

The one i am sure will die by the end is Horacio... i would also add Carmina and Gabino there, but at least Horacio i am sure will die 'with a purpose' saving someone.

Getting a bit tired of watching Loopy anguish over the yung'ones not being paired up correctly before he leaves. Getting the picture he is in a game show and won't be happy until he gets it right.

daisynjay,
totally agree that the Horacio repentant and appology to Blanca was a great moment.

Also agree on... So let the "Gael really loves Pal" plot line begin. ... I wish they had done a better job with the personalities of these young'uns to make us feel good about all this.

I am starting to worry about what these couples (the 'right' ones: Dam/Elisa, Gael/Paloma and Quique/Flo(?)) will be like a year after the 'fin'...
I have a feeling Quique and Flo would be fine as long as she gets used to and appreciates what he can give her...
Gael/Paloma... well, honestly this is the couple i am most worried about. He has a long way of maturing to go if this will have a chance at all...
Dam/Elisa... we would require a rebirth of Alfonsina if she survives the end... it will definitely take a lot of repentance but i have a feeling when she realizes how wrong she was, she will honestly repent and rebuild her relationship with both Dam and Elisa.

JudyB, totally agree on dropping jaw on the 'visiting strictures' of intensive care at that hospital. But then again, we have seen how Inmundo would be 'authorized/trusted' to do brain and open heart surgeries if need be.

What was learned in this episode:

Gael learned Paloma is going to marry Enrique.

Enrique learned it's fun to rub Gael's face in it.

Florencia learned Damian would rather stay behind bars than get married in the church to her.

Carmina learned Dr. Tovar's Cap'n Save a Ho syndrome is incurable.

You never fail us, Anon207!!! Thank you for those wonderful lists!!

yes, thanks for those lists, Anon!
loved the one of Enrique watching Gael's face in it... and Carmina learning of DrT's syndrome is not limited to herself.

Yep, Carmina's face when Dr. T waxed pathetic over Ingrid was priceless. No honey, the TangelHo is NOT the only Ho in town. I think she is finally getting the clue that Ingrid's villainy is of a much more exuberant type. Carmina is positively apathetic compared to II.

I'm pretty sure that Gabino will pull through, but I am very concerned about what his condition will be if he recovers. I believe Doc T warned about possible physical or mental ramifications of the wound. It just won't be the same smarmy Gabino if he is unable to thrust his belt buckle around.

Marta, I think (hope) Alfonsina will probably die of a heart attack. I don't see Dam or Elisa, (or anyone really), able to enjoy a happily ever after unless Fina is out of the picture permanently.

Great job Elna June, nicely done.

So Enrique actually told Gael that Paloma is pregnant? I missed that.

My favorite scene was between Carmina and Doc Tovar. They are both such great actors. The expression on Carmina's face when it dawned on her that Edmundo marrying Ingrid is the perfect revenge and the Hey wait a minute look on his face when she said, “You are right Edmundo. Ingrid is EXACTLY the kind of woman you deserve”. were so perfect.

Carlos

Thanks EJ, your summary of the hospital scene between Doc and Ingrid was fantastic. By the time I got to that scene in my recap, I was spent.

There were a lot of conversation in this episode that was difficult to follow, or maybe I just didn't get it. The conversation between Flo and Dam in the jail, the conversation between Elisa and Alfie, and the scene of Carmina and Gab. I almost thought that she was saying that she was mad that she actually likes him after all and doesn't want him to die. Also, I thought it odd that Lola would have visited Gabino in the hospital, and that Elisa would have come in too. They have no real reason to be looking in on him.

Silvia, I always wondered about Horacio's feelings of guilt about killing Blanca and would he feel guilty if he killed his intended target or not. Lucio is a good person too, so why wouldn't he have felt guilty over that also?

Great recap EJ. My favorite lines have been listed.

Poor Padre is so ready to get the heck out of that town. His transfer can't come soon enough. These people are determined to screw up their lives.

Carlos- Quique was just about to reveal the pregnancy, but Pal jumped in and didn't let him. So no, Gale does NOT know about the baby. I think he would have figured the truth out had Quique spilled the baby beans, but maybe I'm overestimating his intelligence. He certainly hasn't shown much in the brains department until now.

Carlos-
I thought Enrique was about to tell Gael about Paloma's pregnancy, even going so far as to look down at her abdomen and was about to pat it, when Paloma interrupted him to say that they were just in love and going to get married. If he had told Gael about the pregnancy, he would have been very impactado and start questioning if it really was Enrique's.

elna june: Excellent - thanks.

I thought things really moved ahead last night. Who would have thought that Carmina had a sensitive bone in her body. I can't go so far as to say she's sorry that Gabino is between death and life. She's just sorry for herself and that the ship has sailed without her.

Conversation: I never can just listen to Ing - I am forced to read the subtitles to figure out what she is hissing.

All:

Thanks for your kind comments. Vivi, Carlos,Vivi, Cathyx, I rewatched and of course, you are correct. Enrique was going to tell, but Paloma stopped him.

Sylvia: I am practicing at "concise"—thanks for noticing. I am aware of Melinama's instruction to SUMMARIZE. I find this difficult, though, with so much useless dialogue. The actors end up talking endlessly to one another about the few happenings. Hmmm, maybe that is similar to how we (in real Life) hash and rehash the same old stories.

Daiynjay, yes, I think you have it—Gael is now going to really be in love with Paloma. Tacher hasn't looked as sharp lately (as an actor, I mean). It must be hard to work with so little story.

Oh and ITA, Gabino has to recover. Where would this show be without his slight overacting, swagger and chemistry with all the girls on the show. I especially like him with Alfonsina.

Gabino is in Intensive care? His room was more like the revolving door at Macy's during the Holiday Season. Why in heaven's name would Lolita and Elisa be there. I had to LOL.

Marta: Thanks for your kind words. I am glad you mentioned Flo's attitude in Damian's jail cell. do you think it was sincere? Is Flo starting a long road to redemption? She's got a ways to go since she is still wearing the FakeBaby as a fashion accessory.

EJ

Elna June: Loved your recap! In addition to your other marvelous lines already quoted, I also enjoyed: "Edmundo leaves her twitching in some waiting room at the hospital". It just struck my funny bone and I laughed, loudly and heartily.

For the first time, Gael seemed the tiniest bit regretful. I mean he had guilt about being with Paloma but I think he's now going to be questioning his choice. And of course, the dear Padre will be saying just the right things to hasten the proper couplings along! :)

Excellent comments today.

Elna June, I do think God is very merciful and would spare Horacio from going to hell with that confession. I'm not too sure about the telenova gods though! Sylvia, I would like to think he'd have felt the same remorse over Lucio, but...

Judy, I also love Enrique - what a gem! Hoping for the very happiest of endings for him...

Diana

JudyB: If folks want to read a really great recap, head on over to JudyB's spectacular offering on Refugio. Now THAT's a recap! Great work, JudyB on a key episode.

I like Enrique and Paloma together, just as you do. I think they are darling. I am sad to say that Enrique seems destined for BadFlo. She has a lot of work to do before she is worthy of Enrique, starting with a year or two in a convent retreat on her knees.

Marta, Sylvia on Alfonsina. Good call Cap'n that she will die from a heart attack. How could she possibly change, she is so used to hating and baiting Elisa. I do look forward to the moment when she has to admit that she was wrong about Stef. The shock of that may be what kills her!

Carlos, so nice to see you. I, too loved the scene between Carmina and Edmundo! Great chemistry between those two. Really, the acting in the show is still of a very high quality. The story is stretched, convoluted and absurd, but the actors are a great ensemble.

EJ

CathyX: You are welcome! I am always low energy at the end of a recap, I know what you mean.

Last night was very dialogue heavy and a lot of it was emotional as well. It WAS hard to understand. I am no Spanish Maven! I am still learning the language, as so many of us are,and I count on those more fluent than I to correct my mistakes. I do not have CCs so I just do the best I can, smile.

Pasofina: The scene with Carmina and Gab was odd. IMHO you have it exactly right—Carmina is angry with Gabino for abandoning her. Not rational, of course, but neither in Carmina.

Vivi, my dear, so nice to see you. Kind words from you and JudyB and other recappers are so much appreciated. And thanks again for correcting me re: Enrique telling Gael about Paloma. A very important point! I am enjoying your recaps over on Refugio as well.

Diana, wonderful comment about the Telenovela Gods and Horacio. I like the new and improved Horatio and hope he is taken out in a 'worthy' way. If the show runs true to form, I am sure he will save Delores from a terrible fate.

EJ

My dear EJ,

This is the kind of recap that brightens a day -- a story well-told with just the right amount of picante added. I agree that all the lines already quoted are wonderful. May I add that I especially loved your opening description of our distraught Ingrid the Horrible as she pleads with Edmundo to finish the job that Dam supposedly started. It reminded me of Ingrid's plea to Gabino: Shoot her!

So if Gabino sustains brain damage, how will anyone know?

Maybe we misinterpreted Carmina's behavior in Gabino's room. Perhaps she thought his heart was failing and she was delivering precordial thumps? Or not.

Please don't be shocked by what I am about to say -- but last night I began to LIKE Damián. I felt for him and his struggle to do the right thing. He makes terrible decisions but they are never out of selfishness.

With Augusto gone, we need another tragic hero. Poor Gael is clearly not hero material. And Quique is the noble friend but never the protagonist.

And yes, EJ, Horacio's scene in the hospital did have a Shakespearian flavor to it. (By the way, I had the sense that Dolores recognized Horacio on some level even though she never saw his face and probably didn't acknowledge that recognition to herself.)

Your prose is a thing of beauty, you know. Thank you.

EJ thanks so much for your recap. As Sylvia noted you did it - brief recap and retained your style and wit.

About Flo - I do think the writers are redeeming her. She wasn't really mad about Dam and Elisa together and stick it to Fina every time she sees her; I am so loving this turn of events. Others have mentioned this but I think she was planning to expose fake baby at the wedding or reception. After her performance and again ranting about the evils of her MIL, she would leave town with QuiQui if she can. This too could give Fina the infarto Flo desires.

I think Lolita and Elisa were in the Macy's revolves door of Gab's room b/c Dam is supposedly the shooter. Otherwise, they would be silently hoping for his death.

ITA QuiQui should be cloned. He's far too good for age appropriate women in this TN.

EJ - I agree on Tacher, but I've noticed that in some TN's where the show gets dragged out with more episodes, the writing is done by pre-schoolers, and characters are destroyed. Some of the actors seem to just "check-out". Remember talking about this on TDA with several of those folks.

It has to be frustrating to take a character that was fun, full of life and promise who seemed to have a brain in his head, had amazing scenes with his "padre", and then suddenly make him look like he forgot how to tie his shoes, make stupid life choices, hardly ever give him the meaty scenes he had before, and let him do day-tours with Bowyer. He seems to have poor luck like this with some of his characters.

Goodness EJ, I am blushing....but thanks. Vivi and I are both glad you bop over to Refugio from time to time to check us out. The show last night triggered a lot of "squishy spots" for people, so we've been having quite a discussion on moral and legal ethics over there.

Daisynjay: What a good observation. Poor Tacher has very little to work with here. I'll hold out for some better material for him.

And NM, amiga, thanks for your words. I love the idea that Carmina was actually on a mission of mercy and, having no practice at kindness, she just muffed the medical maneuver on Gabino. The very idea made me laugh out loud. Maybe not, for sure.

Karen: so glad to see you as well. So we think that Flo is on the path to redemption, do we? I do so love the image of her pulling Fakebaby out from underneath her wedding dress and waving it around the Chapel. Chuckle. What fun that would be!

But really, Florencia has to go a long way to be redeemed. The girl is a lying, manipulating, scheming train wreck. I can't forget her willing scheming with Paolo to steal Sabrina's baby. I don't hink it will be easy for the audience to forgive her. You just know the Telenovela Gods, as Diana refers to them, must have some justice to mete out to Flo before she hits the road with (unlucky) Enrique.

EJ

Thanks so much, EJ and all y'all. You make this drearified show SO much fun.

I'm hoping Flor merely postpones the wedding if necessary, and has a dress crafted so that the bulging tummy is a compartment and she can whip open the dressfront door at the most dramatic moment to reveal...I don't know, something that will really humiliate Alfie. She really doesn't seem to mind anymore that Damian wants to be with Elisa. I think she absolutely wants out, she just wants to inflict maximum damage on Alfie first (aside, perhaps, from hurting her by hurting Damian, who has also been a pawn in all this. Flor no longer seems to have any ill will toward Damian).

I hope Gabino recovers, just because he adds some life to the proceedings. I didn't mind that he got shot, though. That beating of Ing was grim, aside from his leap over the sofa, which was hilarious.

Mark T does seem bored with his job these days. Anyone else remember the doldrums of the extension on Cuidado Con el Ángel, when William Levy seemed to have entirely checked out? Not that he really needed his mind present, they basically repeated the same lines over and over for weeks. I'm sure he just went on autopilot and was, like, wake me up when it's time for the finale and I'll read the script.

Thanks, EJ! I can't wait to watch!

OMG, Julia, I cannot stop laughing. Heeheehee. The FakeBaby dress! I wish I could draw, I would sketch it out. O how funny.

HI Blue!

EJ

Hi EJ! Our new semester is underway, and as usual it's running like a freight train without brakes -- but I hope to keep up with Abismo now that it's getting wild & wooly.

P.S. I think it would be fun if Gabino started having hallucinations. That's assuming he doesn't already.

When I worked in the costume shop in the theater department at school, there was a dance piece once based on Frida Kahlo's work and we made a dress with the bodice built out so that there was a little door in the front that opened and there was a papier-maché anatomically correct heart inside. I was thinking something like that, but what should be inside?

Julia
A baby shaped Nerfazo for Flor to throw at Alfonsina!

EJ

Bwahaha! A baby Nerfazo. I love it.

I think I would keep a sandwich inside, just in case I got hungry. Or if I could insulate it maybe a six-pack of cold beer. It could be that six-pack I've always wanted but never been able to achieve.

Julia, the costume sound amazing.

Ha! Right after the wedding vows, Flor could nonchalantly open her six-pack abs, chuck the baby Nerfazo at Alfonsina, crack open a beer, and saunter out of the Arango family chapel swigging it.

Alfie would probably die of a heart attack thinking she'd married her son off and that's the only grandchild she'd gotten out of it, then later Damian could obviously get an annulment because of the fraud.

Elna June, this is great. Cathyx, you should have been recapping a long time ago. You're funny! OK, so this totally has nothing to do with Abismo, but I would like to know why none of you mentioned that Sortileigo existed. That is the biggest hunkfest of all time. I never watch two hour telenovelas because I don't have the attention span. Sort keeps ALL of my attention. Zepeda takes his shirt off, Levy takes his shirt off and that Gabriel takes his shirt off and it is like a trifecta of deliciousness on that show. I don't even know what the show is about, but it is great.
