Abismo de pasión #125 9/6/12: How many fond fools serve mad jealousy!*

*Comedy of Errors

Redux: Ingrid can’t find the tickets so she kicks pillows and rants. Elisa has flashbacks to a time when she was more tastefully clad. Damian has flashbacks to a time when he had more sense. Pop! goes the sleazel! Carmina busts in on his memories.

Lo Nuevo: Carmina pushes hard to poison Dam’s mind against Gael. Doesn’t Dam realize Ingrid set him up? It was planned all along and Gael helped so he could get Dam out of the picture and calmly marry Elisa. (Grab your magic beanies folks. There are more holes in this theory than in Elisa’s clothing.)

Begoña is bored and mopey so she gives Enrique a hard time for marrying Paloma. She doesn’t know who is worse, her slut-mongering ex or her slum-sucking son. OMG, she actually gives Enrique her special bag of miscarriage tea. Nice. As he rushes upstairs to pack his bags she shrieks their house has turned into a brothel. (More like a manicomio if you ask me.)

Carmina keeps pressing Dam. Elisa hasn’t stopped loving him so Dam has become an obstacle and Gael is desperate.  Dam insists his friend would never do that but his Dam Stoopid cogs and sprockets start creaking. Slowly.

Padre Lupe shows up and demands that Carmina stop spewing venom. Dam asks him about Ingrid and Lupe admits he at least thanks her for leaving Gael on his doorstep. He has been like Lupe’s son and Dam’s brother. Dam finally admits he didn’t shoot GABINO MENDOZA...Ingrid did!

Padre totally freaks out. How could Dam do such a Dum thing? Uh, because Ingrid begged him, plus it was a good way to avoid getting hitched to the empty oven. Dam Stoopid asks does Padre think II might have, er...USED him? Then Dam S asks why didn’t Gael take II away from GABINO MENDOZA sooner? Why wouldn’t II accept Gael’s help? Lupe chickens out  as usual and explains some things are protected by the confessional and Dam should ask Ingrid himself.

Up at the cenote Paloma and Ramona have their daily passive-aggressive non-communication. Paloma tells Ramona not to worry about the town gossips dissing Paloma, all they can talk about is what happened to GABINO MENDOZA. This gets Ramona’s attention. Apparently Dam was helping Gael’s mom and shot Gabino who will likely die.

Alfonsina, looking stunning in an Aqua blouse, recalls when Blanca tried to tell her something important about Estefania and that Fina had been wrong, wrong, wrong for hating Stef.

Next morning, Alfonsina visits Lucio to see if he knew what Blanca tried to tell her. Lucio points out her curiosity is slightly after the fact, no? Sadly, he does not know the info that preoccupied Blanca before she died. In fact, Augusto also asked Lucio about Stef and Rosendo. Lucio is happy to give Fina his suppositions but... No thanks, Fina wants only facts.

Elisa finds Carmina in her bedroom; whazzup Tia Carazy? Car says Dam gets out today and she thought Elisa might want to know. Cut the Crap, sez Eliza. Ok, sez Carazy, she’s hoping Gael will come and work her tierras while Gabino plays horizontal punching bag down at the hospital. Elisa hates the idea because Gael is busy doing both his and Elisa’s jobs down at her invernadero. Tia sez then she might have to sell. Cool, sez Elisa, she might buy the tierras. Tia’s pumpkin head explodes.

II self-destructs over at “her” hacienda because she can’t find the well-hidden or stolen tickets.

Fina goes to Stef’s grave. She says says she knows how much Carmina hated Rosendo (bwahahaa!) but also how much she loved Agosto and that she was capable of incriminating Stef to get Agosto all for herself. “But if it wasn’t you Stef, then who was Rosendo’s ho?”

Elisa sees Fina at Stef’s grave. To Fina’s credit she actually mentions Stef’s pathetic dirt mound. Elisa says she was just a kid and couldn’t make decisions (still can’t if you ask me) and her dad didn’t  care. Fina suggests Elisa could have made decisions but she was too busy at her six or eight years of age playing Mata Hari to Damian. Elisa reminds Fina she was just a kid and, by the way, she was traumatized when she saw her dad kissing Carmina when Stef was still alive. Alfonsina, with great effort, raises one perfectly plucked eyebrow.

Gael tells Padre that Ingrid probably didn’t spend the night with them because she was shacking up with Doc Tovar. He’s a good guy so why shouldn’t he hook up with her? (Sputter...) Padre warns Gael to be careful with Ingrid and he hopes she tells him who his father is. Gael gets grumpy because now Dam is involved in their lives and he feels he owes Dam. The “Brother” tune plays as Padre pontificates. Gael swears he has loved Elisa all his life. “Then why did you boink Paloma?” queries Padre. Padre wants them to be like childhood friends again but Gael thinks they might all be too broken. They go on and on about this. And then some more. Hopefully y'all hit the FF>> button.

Over at the hospital Braulio gripes to Lolita that Useless refused to leave Gabino's side all night. They hug until Tonia shows up for the buzz kill. She’s pithed when she hears Useless JR has been in Useless SR’s room all night.

Tonia runs into Gab's room and tries drag Vicente out. He yells that if Gab dumped her it’s because she wasn’t worth it. (Ouch!) Just then Ramona storms in and tells him to shut his pie hole. His mom wasn’t the only woman GABINO MENDOZA boinked and dumped. Gabino has never cared about anyone but himself. He doesn’t love Chente and he never will. The sooner Chente gets that through his thick head the better. Now beat it! BEAT IT!! (Yikes.)

Gael arrives at Casa Castañon and Carmina (wearing orange!!) immediately starts telling him that history is repeating itself. Rosendo and Augusto loved Stef and look what happened to them. Augusto was jealous and Stef ended up abandoning everything, even her daughter, to leave with Rosendo. She advises him not to make the same mistake and to keep an eye on his enemy, because if Gael doesn’t do something soon the Dam enemy will steal Elisa.

Elisa visits Lucio and he tells her about Fina’s visit. Elisa tells him that Fina has also been asking her about the past. The other day Fina inquired about the Blue House and when confronted Carmina admitted that it was Stef and Rosendo’s love shack. For the first time Elisa doubted her faith in Stef. Lucio tells her to calm down and they will investigate who was the owner of the house.  He wouldn’t be surprised if Rosendo gave it to Carmina. She tells him Ingrid also has some secrets about Carmina.

Stupid Gael should leave Casa Castañon but he’s still hanging around  letting Carmina fill his head with doubts and lies. Really Gael? You’ve known she’s a lying harpy all her life yet you believe her?

Fina calls Ingrid about the tickets. Fina is ready to give II a blank check but of course Ingrid has to stall because she CAN’T FIND THE TICKETS!

Ingrid is forced to maintain when Dam shows up. She has another favor to ask, could he just keep his little cat-butt mouth tightened up and make sure nobody knows it was SHE who really shot GABINO MENDOZA? Oopsie, looks like someone forgot about the Open Door And Obligatory Eavesdropping telenovela rule. Elisa pops her head around and demands that they explain what she just heard.

Avances: Gael accuses Dam of playing the hero in front of Elisa. Yawn.

Very nice way to depict a very boring episode (except the Dam/Loopy and part of the Gael/Loopy scenes)... everything else was pretty boring.
LOVED:

and...
Oopsie, looks like someone forgot about the Open Door And Obligatory Eavesdropping telenovela rule.

I have to agree that the writers are totally crushing the character of Gael as a stoopid who can't see the slime right in front of his eyes (even listening to Carmina is a stretch compared to how he confronted her in the beginning... but i guess they are trying to justify it with his current state of guilt load and jealousy of Dam knowing Elisa still is crazy for Dam no matter what he does for her). So the scene with Gael and Loopy got boring after a while...
Loved the eyebrow raise which is so signature of Mark T when Carmina kept on teasing him about Elisa and Dam possibly repeating history.

Sylvia- Perfect title and you breezed through this recap without lingering on the fluff.

I will say that Dam was more suspicious of Ing, not of Gael. In fact, he said to both Carm and Padre that Gael wouldn't stab him in the back, but was asking Padre about his suspicions about Ing, which Padre really didn't share. He could have shared his true feelings about the woman. That's not protected by the confessional! Padre and Ramona are getting on my nerves with these evasive conversations. So I'm glad that she was half lying, Carm's words may have opened Dam's eyes about Ing.

The other thing Ramoma mentioned to Vince is that he's not Gab's only bastard. Wonder if he'll follow up with her and try to find out who his sib(s) is/are?

Sylvia, razor sharp wit, astute observations and humor that sparkles and shine. You've done it again. Sensational.

Of course Marta has already mentioned a few of my favorites but this is strewn with an abundance of savvy phrases so everyone can have picks. "Elisa has flashbacks to a time when she was more tastefully clad" and "She doesn’t know who is worse, her slut-mongering ex or her slum-sucking son" had me snorting in my coffee. Excellent.

Like you Syvlia, I cannot believe Begona gave Enrique the tea. In that reprehensible act, she is now totally repugnant to me. Somewhat of a foolish character before, she is now dead to me.

Stupid me. I actually thought there was a tiny hope Vincente could be redeemed. When he pushed his mother, I was totally horrified.

Judy, I read what you noted yesterday about Ramona's harshness with Paloma and Flo and I totally agree. And as much as I wish her style were gentler, I was happy she was the one to come barging into the scene and put that little demon spawn in his place.

Wondering if Ramona will be compelled to say anything to Pal about Gabino. Paloma will not take kindly to the news and the revelation will definitely fracture her relationship with Ramona.

I suspect those tickets aren't going to make an appearance in the very near future. Unless of course, the writers bring the truth out sooner to make Fina realize what a heinous beyotch she has been. I could not swallow a Fina redemption but I suppose stranger things have happened.

Happy Friday!

Diana

Vivi, just read your comment. I didn't catch Ramona told Vin he had sibs. Interesting...

Diana

OMG Cap'n, this was a scream. Every single line was funny. Since I don't have time to retype the whole thing while inserting my "jajás" and "jojós," I'll try -- TRY -- to pick my very favorites...

My faves:

- "His Dam Stoopid cogs and sprockets start creaking"

- "Paloma and Ramona have their daily passive-aggressive non-communication"

- "...while Gabino plays horizontal punching bag down at the hospital"

- "Tonia shows up for the buzz kill"

and last but not at all least

- "Tia’s pumpkin head explodes" !!!!!!!

Sylvia: Great snarky recap.

Elisa is now the head of a big corporation, has her own office, and is very successful. YET, she dresses like a misguided '70's groupie and lives in a house with an aunt who has abused her in the past and continues to abuse her and her friends in the present. Doesn't any adult ever move out of the hateful hacienda in Mexico.

I have to agree with the sad state of affairs of Gael. He started out as a lovable, caring, bumbling sweet man. He has been turned into a paranoid, angry, suspicious fool. He keeps getting clues - like he should alwys treat Damian like his brother, etc. Shouldn't that turn a light switch on in his brain.

Thanks Sylvia! I'm probably in the minority here, but I am finding this week's offerings tedious. I'm glad there are witty recaps to keep me interested.

Ah Captain...all we can do is chuckle right? Your great recap was sooooo much better than the episode itself. Listening to these people is like listening to your boring Aunt Bessy going on and on at a family gathering. You just want to yell "GET ON WITH IT!"

One bright spot is seeing Alfi after all these years firing up the brain cells and figuring out, heavens, she may have got the facts wrong about Stef. Since she's NEVER wrong ( as she reminds everyone often) it will be very interesting to see her have to admit she blew it and caused all this hatred.

In the meantime, Elisa, if you can buy property, how about fixing up your mother's grave. Not buying the excuses...in fact, I find it sad it hasn't crossed her mind.

Marta, oh, how I so agree with you on the dumbing down of Gael. The writers, or our little pre-schoolers, can't even write the type of Padre/Gael scenes we use to know and love. Just wrong.....

And if I hear "the secret of the confessional" one more time in any TN, I'll scream. I would love to hear a very emphatic from Padre " I can't tell you the facts since I cannot divulge confessional detail--but go talk to your mother. Your mother is not being honest with you". At least plant more definitive seeds of doubt. Hell, at this point the man deserves to know the truth about his father--Alfi didn't "confess" anything. Sit her down and make her tell Gael. He owes Gael that much...sorry. All the pussy-footing is just a way to drag this out....which is getting more painful every day.

Sara- I don't think you're in the minority at all! I think we all feel that the reveals and action are dragging.

We started the last two weeks, all set for two weddings to go off the rails and for Flor to execute her plan. Now that's been sidetracked and the characters are still running in circles. We don't even have Gab to entertain us!

And we are about to enter Ultimas Semanas. The finale aired in Mexico for a total of 161 episodes. It was replaced by Amores Verdaders which has Eduardo Yanez and Sebastian Rulli.

Gael: Remember that you were the only possible blood donor for Damian a while ago. That means something!

Wonder if that's the TN we get to replace Abismo. Love Sebastian, especially after his knockout run in Teresa, but not a Yanez fan. I see our dear Braulio is also in the show.
Guess we'll have to see.

I for one would not mind if they went to double episodes now to hurry this thing along...but I'm sure they're like cats and never do a trick when you actually want them to.

Looks like the cast of "Amores Verdaderos" also includes Lisardo, Sherlyn, and the redoubtable Enrique Rocha. Thanks for the heads-up, UA.

I have to say I love the way everyone keeps referring to Rullí as
"un actor juvenil" at 37...! I'm almost starting to feel a little guilty for having him at the outer edge of my age-appropriate telenovio list. Almost.

"I for one would not mind if they went to double episodes now to hurry this thing along..."

Bite your tongue, Blue Lass! :D

This is so delightful, Sylvia. Thank you. The title, of course, is perfect. And then there's:

Carmina's holey theory (which, despite initial doubt, is going to be accepted as gospel in some quarters).

"...his dam stoopid cogs and sprockets start creaking. Slowly."

"Paloma and Ramona have their daily passive-aggressive non-communication"

"She has another favor to ask, could he just keep his little cat-butt mouth tightened up..."

And of course, the crown jewel of phrases:
"Oopsie, looks like someone forgot about the Open Door And Obligatory Eavesdropping telenovela rule."

I hope you enjoy your weekend, Cap'n! You've definitely earned some R & R with this ab fab recap. But promise us you'll lay off the scotch, ok?

" I am finding this week's offerings tedious."

Oh Sara, there you go again with your silly expectations of dramatic pacing and plot development. Maybe you should read some student papers before you watch -- that would settle you comfortably in the Patio, no? jejeje

Glad to see you here, mi prof!

Sylvia this was brilliant and you had nothing to work with! Your title was spot on as well. You've given me an excellent map so I'll FF through most of this DVR'ed episode.

Vivi - thanks for the info on Ramona's reveal.

Diana - I'm so with you on not being able to stomach a Fina redemption at this point. She is too similar to her husband's mistresses, who according to TN rules will die, for her to get off easy.

Sara - no, you are not the only one just wanting this mess to end quickly.

Pasofino - "misguided 70s groupie" - excellent. And ITA on those grown ups who continue to live in strife filled home w/people who hate them. Really writers?

daisynjay - yes, no excuse for Elisa not giving her mother a proper grave.

UA - thanks for the info on the new TN.

BL - I do wonder why they keep tagging Rulli as a young'um but love he's on your telenovio list!

NM - bite your tongue, indeed ;)

Oh my Sylvia..love the title, so classy, and every line that Blue Lass, Novela Maven, and Diana mentioned. As has been noted, you did so much with so little!

Yesssss, I actually liked Ramona's rough justice last night. For Vincente, nothing less would have gotten through.

But, along with Sara and the rest of you, I'm thinking "how long, o Lord, how long?" Puh-leeze wrap this up quickly and put an end to the misery.

Thanks Silvia, you did the best anyone could do with this episode. I admit I FFed through much of the Padre/Gael conversation. Show filler?

Estupida Cathyx didn't realize until I read Diana's comment that Begonia was giving the tea to Enrique to give to Paloma to lose the baby. Only she doesn't realize that Paloma and Ramona both know what that herb will do and will only make Begonia look more pathetic.

For once I'm glad that the obligatory eavesdropping rule was applied to Dam and Ingrid's conversation. I hope that Elisa heard the whole thing.

Now a word for Alfie. Horacio told you that the name on the plane ticket was Carmina. Why can't you believe it?

I don't think Horacio told Alfi that the name on the ticket was Carmina -- he told her that Carmina was the one who paid him to STEAL the tickets. Alfi, suffering from Arango-Dot-Connecting-Paralysis, can't go anywhere with that, apparently.

Oh, and I almost forgot: compound word alert! This episode gave us "un parteaguas" -- literally, a "parting of the waters," used to mean a way through/opportunity to move forward. Never heard that one before!

Sylvia, glad to see you back from your camping trip without a bear attack or fatal bug bite!!!! I loved your recap offering and especially, your quote from Comedy of Errors, “How many fond fools serve mad jealousy!” This is the novela built on jealousy, not passion (secular definition!) or chemistry.

Diana, “I cannot believe Begona gave Enrique the tea. In that reprehensible act, she is now totally repugnant to me.” I just took her off my “possible redemption” list! The worst of it is that she is completely motivated by her lousy assessment of supposed social standing.....What a silly little sham of a mother she is!!!!

Daisy, “One bright spot is seeing Alfi after all these years firing up the brain cells and figuring out, heavens, she may have got the facts wrong about Stef. Since she's NEVER wrong ( as she reminds everyone often) it will be very interesting to see her have to admit she blew it and caused all this hatred.” I agree! We have to remember that she was the worst person in La Ermita when the children were young, she was determined to keep her precious son away from the town children especially Elisa. The only hope I have left for the Passion Pit ending is that Flo has some Tootsie esque, staircase/wedding isle reveal in which she strips off her baby bump causing Afie’s low blood pressure to drop to 0 over 0 and stay there!!!

Judy, I think Ramona is harsh as well, she is one of the strangest “good” characters I have ever seen!
She was good with Chente, but most reasonable people don't meddle in other's family issues!

Good morning all and thank you for checking in. Sara, you are not alone; I think we are all finding this artificially extended part very tedious. It seems like some of the actors are finding it tedious as well.

Vivi, my original title had to do with Padre and Ramona and their continual evasive behavior about the info they know. But then I changed my mind. Those two are driving me crazy.

Novela Maven, no fingers crossed behind my back, I promise I'll lay off the Scotch. But I do have a cooler filled with some good wine and beer in the back of the truck.

Gah! Two hour episodes? I think I'm going to faint at the thought. We probably have another 15 episodes to go before we get into "Últimas Semanas". I think they usually start saying that with about 20 episodes to go. Can't get here soon enough.

About Ramona, I would like to think she will share the info with Paloma that she's got a half brother, but since she happily shares her opinion but never important information I'm not going to hold my breath.

"Sara, you are not alone; I think we are all finding this artificially extended part very tedious."

Ok, I suspect I'm revealing something very shallow and pathetic about myself here but I am in hog heaven right now --

I love the way the writers continue to flesh out Alfie as someone incapable of nuanced thought, how she demands absolutes in all things: Is Gabino going to live or die? Does Lucio have PROOF about Estefanía or does he not?

I love how Carmina's part is written and acted -- the consummate liar who weaves her lie in a web of just enough truth and who reads her victims so expertly, going for the soft white underbelly every time.

I love how everyone has to read Lupe's answers in his silences. He doesn't/can't come out with what he knows about Ingrid but his silence acknowledges Dam's assumption: Ing has ulterior motives for being in La Ermita.

I love that Begoña is both pathetic and horrible.

I love that Ramona is both harsh and just and also flawed.

I love that Altair is getting a chance to show her acting chops.

And apparently I'm all alone here in feeling sympathy for the character of Paloma and admiration for the actress's portrayal of the character.

So sue me. :)

Great recap! Geez, Begoña has really stooped to a new low! Did she really dare to mention her "special" tea to Enrique?!

Whoo! Go, Ramona! At least someone scared off Lil Gabino (aka Chente).

I wonder if Ing will find those tickets or will Gab live first?
--TF

Trying again to post from iPhone. Thank you cap'n Sylvia for the recap, I love your " Tia Carazy".

doris.

Novela Maven, I'm going to sue you for a good glass of wine. Amiga you make a really good point, the female roles have been stepped up. Altair is finally getting some meaty scenes and it is delightful to watch the three major villainesses play against each other. My favorite scene last night was when Ramona blasted Chente, even though she was somewhat out of line in doing so.

Sabine Moussier is blowing my mind in this telenovela, especially since I know she is in great physical pain. But last night I was getting a bit tired of her getting in everyone's face. I guess Dam couldn't help it because he was stuck in jail, lol!

The fact that we all now hate Begona...well hooray for her acting. I'm so glad Sabrina got out of that house.

Paloma, I go back and forth on her. Her biggest character flaw, that she can't let go of Gael, is also one of her biggest strengths, that she refuses to let go of her one true love. Anyhoo, I figure she and Gael will end up with each other when he figures out that obsession is not exactly love. That will leave Enrique free for Flor and she will actually get pregnant or they can adopt.

Whew, Sylvia, I'm glad you're not the litigious sort.

And I forgot to add to the list --

I'm loving Horacio lurking in the cemetery, observing unobserved, his only human contact the soon to melt-down ice queen. He seems to have found his calling.

Horacio does "lurk" very well, doesn't he?

Yes. He is also an excellent skulker.

"Lurk and Skulker?" Isn't that the firm representing Paolo?

Oh wait ... I'm getting confused. I think it's one of the acting categories in the Televisa Premios ... or it should be.

Brilliant, Sylvia, and hilarious.

I'm with you today, NovelaMaven. I think this week the show has finally gotten back on track. I'm especially enjoying Carmina:

"I love how Carmina's part is written and acted -- the consummate liar who weaves her lie in a web of just enough truth and who reads her victims so expertly, going for the soft white underbelly every time."

Yes, and she even divined that it was actually Ingrid who pulled the trigger. Damián seemed stunned.

Quite some time ago I commented that it seemed to me that these three women, Alfonsina, Carmina, and Ingrid are dominating this show and now two have become consumed with evil, and the other is extremely flawed, probably the weakest of the three. Yet it falls to her now to expose and conquer the evil, right wrongs, and save Ermita.

Please feel free to join me at the Alfonsina table and let's watch together as she slays these two dragons with the aid of two very unlikely allies, Padre Lupe and the hapless Horatio.

The redemption of Alfonsina has begun.

Carlos

"Please feel free to join me at the Alfonsina table and let's watch together as she slays these two dragons with the aid of two very unlikely allies, Padre Lupe and the hapless Horatio."

It is tempting, Carlos. Will there be a dress code?

Carlos, I'm not sure I agree 100% with "redemption", but I'll definitely join you at Alfonsina's table. Heck, I can be a cock-eyed optimist if the table is fun enough. And it is. I am loving the odd relationship between Alfonsina and Horacio.

NovelaMaven, I'm looking for Alfonsina to embrace Elisa, so I think that Daisy Dukes, miniskirts, and plunging necklines may be allowed although conservative stylish attire is encouraged. Fans of course will still be required for communication purposes.

Please park firearms at the door.

Carlos

Well then I'm there.

I am tempted to stop by the ALfie table too...
did you notice that Elisa did NOT have a Daisy Duke macrame short yesterday? she had the macrame dress with a little lower hemline... but still plunging neckline.. can't ask for too much change overnight, can we?
I am actually liking the fact that she is barking back to Gael with all the silly paranoia about Damian and Elisa... if you can't handle the heat(especially when most of the heat is in your head and not in the pot), boy, get out of the kitchen!!

Dear Carlos,

I must say that you have taken a brave and historic step. As we approach Ultimas Semanas it looks as though we might have a rumble between Altair Jarabo (Florencia) and Blanca Guerra (Alfonsina) and you have chosen the beautiful, but OLDER actress. You are a credit to men everywhere!!

Sandy

Doris, as a test, I just attempted to post by iPhone (in Nashville) and couldn't. I haven't been able to use my phone for Caray for several days/weeks!

Good luck!

Dear Cap'n:
Thanks for making a silk purse out of sow's ear with this recap. Great job. Although most of the showing was BORING, I do agree with all who applaud the acting. Sabine as Carmina is just delightfully, unredeemably eveeel. She is doing a great villain here!

I am so late today that I will just echo my fellows and say that I loved many of the lines and comments already mentioned.

As far as actors go, I am still a fan of Zepeda as an actor growing in his craft. I have really enjoyed watching him get better with each show that I see him in. Whenever he gets something to work with he does a nice job—especially for a guy who trained as a lawyer and not at one of the Azreca or Televisa acting academies. Mostly, though, he is written as dumb as dirt—I'm not sure what any actor could do with that.

I'll have a drink and a bite over at the Alfonsina table with Carlos, Blue and NM. I think Blanca Guerra has knocked it out of the park with this role. In real life I would see virtually no hope for Alfonsina because of her rigidity, but the writers are showing her weakening every day. I think Carlos is right, she is being redeemed so that at least Damian can feel sorry when/if she dies in spectacular fashion in the Gran Final.

Ingrid is such a despicable character, a true sociopath. Ugh, she is hard to watch.I wonder what Camil looks like under that horrid makeup and hairstyle.

I know that I will get dinged for my lack of compassion, but I was happy with Ramona for verbally head-slapping Vicente last night. The kid is a loser and totally out of control. Better that he should hear this home truth rather than get further involved in Gabino's schemes and end up dead or in jail.

Sara, so good to see you here! I am glad you got a break from school to join us. We miss your Golden Bullets of Snark, m'dear.

CathyX, ITA about Alfonsina not believing the Horatio's word. Hello, Alfie, I know you are never wrong but, you are protecting and using a murderer—why not take a chance and believe him?

EJ

NovelaMaven,
I agree whole-heartedly that Alfonsina is very entertaining. I do so love her scenes. Carmina and Ingrid on the other hand really annoy the posole out of me...for truly shallow reasons (unlike your valid reasons.)

I am tired of ING's hair and Carmina's lips and phosphorescent teeth.

Maybe I am finding things more tedious because I am usually over-tired while watching.

I am also looking forward to finding what Flor has up her sleeve.

I continue to pathetically hope that Pal and Quique end up together.

Sara, no one is exactly swimming in the deep end of the pool around here. :)

I think it would be refreshing if Paloma and Quique ended up together. I'd love to see the writers go there.

EJ, I've always been amused by the idea that Alfie perceives herself as omniscient when in fact she has based her life on a set of lies, lies fed to her by Carmina and Gabino.

EJ, there is a really beautiful picture of Isabella Camil on her IMDB page:

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1191746816/nm0131780

I'm sure it's touched up, but it does show what she would look like in a more classic style.

I agree that Blanca Guerra is doing a fantastic job here. I would love to see her again in something else.

Thanks for the recap Sylvia.I thoroughly enjoy your astute observation of the characters in this TN. I get the heebie-jeebies every time there is this spiritual combat between good and evil(Fr. Lupe and Carmina)I am amazed at how well the actors play it down to the hilt especially Sabine in the role of the snakey devil that she is(Carmina). I also hate Begonia with a passion for all her hypocritical social outlook around her. serves her right for losing her children and husband. Now About Florencia, I kind of like her(save for scheming fake pregnancy). I am trying to compare her to Gala of Refugio. They both were after all the first novias of the galans, Damian and Rod but I see in Flo a class of a lady whereas Gala is so like an evil to the bones bitch. It's no wonder that Damian is sometimes responding to her because when she comes around Damian, she is so endearing and gentle to him not like the screechy cat of a wife that Rod has to encounter all the time. So I am joining the Flo table and I am one to really stomp my feet on Gagme to ultimately fall into hell. Have a nice weekend ya'll.

So I am joining the Flo table and I am one to really stomp my feet on Gagme to ultimately fall into hell. Have a nice weekend ya'll.
