Refugio Para el Amor #108 Thu 9/6/12 Rod The Bod Learns Some Home Truths and Marcial Reveals Himself!
Torreslanda Home:
We start this evening with the coven of witches convening about that Linares getting his half of the bidness. Rosa comes in to tell them, yes it's confirmed Linares got his part, but he gave it to Luci, which means Luci will be there at the Torreslanda bidness. Now the girl that was the servant in this house is now a partner in the bidness. Gagme is so not down with that.
Down The Street From Torreslanda Home:
The wonderful purveyors of tacos, that would be Lorenzo and Fabain, are busy selling their tacos, when a big white SUV pulls up. It is Hanna and Lorenzo goes to the window of the SUV to talk to her. She congrats him on selling those lovely tacos. She is glad he is back in her hood, doncha know. He is just happy to see her. She wishes him much luck and then she goes, as Lorenzo gazes after the departing SUV.
Aldo's Mini Office (Janitor's Closet) at Torreslanda Bidness:
Aldo is calling Lorenzo. He has his feet on the desk with his paper coffee cup at hand, lounging around as most up and coming exec's do. Aldo has called Lorenzo to invite him to the Club Inferno this evening. Lorenzo so doesn't want to go there. He had enough trouble the last time, and there is Lastra too. Aldo is insisting, but Lorenzo tells him no way jose. Not going there. So Aldo caves and says he'll meet Lorenzo in the 'hood later for a meet.
About this time, as our up and coming exec is getting off the phone, with his feet up on the desk, who should come in but his Tio Max. Well, our little Aldo jumps to. His Tio Max wants him to drive him somewhere, and we all know where don't we? After all, Aldo is the designated chauffer, doncha know! Aldo wants his Tio Max to invest some money in the little bidness he talked about with him earlier. His Tio Max blows him off and says let's go. They go.
Torreslanda Bidness, Rod's Office:
Rod is in his office thinking of Luci coming to the bidness yesterday. When his lovely reverie is interrupted by the screaming mimi, also known as Gagme. Gagme is screaming at him that she is always the last to know anything. Rod the Bod tells her to can it, cause the bidness doesn't concern her! Well, of course Gagme does NOT agree! She is is WIFE and deserves to know everything, even when he tinkles, well maybe not that, but you get the picture. Our Rod the Bod has to remind the screaming mimi that she is his wife in name only for a contract and nothing else. He is even thinking of divorcing her, so he can have some peace. Well maybe not the peace part, but he so deserves it. Gagme lets him know he is crazy and she will neva eva give him a divorce! Gagme tells Rodrigo es Mio she will never allow that domestica to have her man, oh noes! Rod the Bod has to correct her again about the domestica name, and tells her you know damn well Luci is so NOT A DOMESTICA! Rod the Bod also informs his so not loving wifey, that now Luci is a partner in the Torreslanda bidness and as such will have an office in the bidness along with her Papa Claudio. Gagme tells her ever loving husband, not, that she knows he prefers Luci, but she is not allowing esa typa anywhere near her Rodrigo es so Mio as she strokes that stone cold face. He tells her to ya basta! He is tired of her hysterical rantings and it is bad enough he has to put up with them at home, he doesn't want to have to put up with it in his place of bidness. Gagme tells him neva gonna happen, Luci being near to Rodrigo es so not Mio, cause she will become his shadow! (Note to Gagme: Don't you have a bidness to run? The inmates will be running the asylum, jus' sayin'). Well Gagme leaves in a huff. Rod the Bod looks relieved she is finally gone.
Torreslanda Bidness, Executive Secretary's Desk:
Selena, nice lady that she is, has taken a call from la loca, also known as the CEO's wife Roselena. Selena informs la loca that the CEO, Max, isn't there and probably won't answer his cell phone. He is a busy man, doncha know. Rosa tells Selena when he gets back to let him know she needs to talk to him urgently.
Torreslanda Family Home, The Library:
La loca has just hung up with Selena, and Conny comes in and says you and I are going the doctor, you promised to go and I am not taking no for an answer. La loca reluctantly agrees to go, when Pato, that darling man, comes into the room and says Vaya, you look so much better mama. Tia Conny lets Pato know she is taking his Mama to the doctor. Pato is so glad about that, but wants to talk to his crazy mother when she gets back. What for she wants to know? He says you know very well why. He also tells her he wants her to get better. (Note to Pato: Maybe when Hell freezes over, jus' sayin').
Afternoon Delight Suite of Max and Vicky:
Vicky is coming out of the bathroom, prancing around in Osito's shirt. She climbs on the bed beside him and wants a teensy, weensy favor. He wants to know what that could possibly be? She would really like her own nail salon! She says you're a bidness man you could invest a little somethin', somethin', you have the wherewithall after all, give your little chippy a little help! Well, just for asking him he grabs her face roughly. She removes his hand quite gently, (Note to Vicky: Ya should have smacked the crap out of him, jus' sayin') and tells him she loves him, has been true to him, hasn't caused him any problems, but she wants his respect and that she has never gotten from him. Thoughtful look on Max's face.
Doctor's Office in the D.F.:
Rosa and Conny are meeting with Rosa's doctor. The doctor is repeating to Rosa what he already told Conny. There is nothing physically wrong with Rosa, it's in her head so to speak, and she needs to see one of those doctors! Rosa is vehemently saying she is so NOT going to one of those doctors, no siree bob. The Doctor looks at Rosa and says, you are not normal. Oh, boy stand by for the fireworks! He tells her she needs to see the other doctor, sooner, rather than later. She is so pithed she screams at Conny, vamanos! Rosa goes, but Conny stays. She tells the Doctor she will convince Rosa to go and gets the medical file from the Doctor.
Reunion in the Hood:
Luci is in the hood with all her peeps and her Papa. Vio says so now you are a lady of society! Lorenzo is still wearing the scapula that Paz gave him. Lorenzo wants to know if Luci is happy, and Estelita is asking everyone to have a seat. Claudio informs them of the meeting at Torreslanda earlier in the day. Everyone is gasping. He informs them that Luci and he are now partners in the Torreslanda bidness and it's right it should be this way. They already signed the papers. Lorenzo wants to know now if Luci will change. Luci tells him no way. I still consider myself an artiste with ceramics, still love my simple family meals. She tells her bubby Lorenzo she will always love him more than all the money in the world. She tells her assembled peeps the same thing. They will always be her friends. They are all very happy. Luci tells her assembled peeps about calling her mama in Het Het tomorrow cause the phone is installed. Vio is real happy cause now she can call her Mama Magda there. Claudio hands Luci the phone, but the line in Het Het is still not working. Luci also gives out the new number to her friends so they can call up there. Marianita asks after Ariche, and Luci says he is happy even with the new baby coming. Serena starts asking about baby names, has she picked any yet? They all shout different names, Carlos Rapheal (Vio's Pick from a novela, lol), Lorenzo for his Tio Lorenzo of course, Karin, Briggita. Luci doesn't know yet. She will decide later. But this baby will have lots of grandparents, Paz, Magda, Claudio, and lots of aunts and uncles, like say them. They are all overjoyed. Claudio wants Luci to get some rest now, cause they have a long day tomorrow. She tells her Papa, she is staying with Vio and wants to talk to Lorenzo. Her Papa is ok with that. Her Papa hugs and kisses her and goes. Luci tells Lorenzo that her Papa Claudio would like to help Lorenzo and Fabian set up a shop for them to sell their tacos! He tells Luci thanks but no. Aldo is saying he will help them do that. She wants to know if he is sure of Aldo and Lor says he is. Luci says, well if you need help I am always here. Lor's cell rings and its Aldo ready for their little meet. Lor and Fabian go. After they go, Ofelia and Estelia ask her if she is ok. Luci says she just doesn't want things to change about herself or her life. Luci says now yeah she has more but wants things to stay the same. Estelita tells her of course she is the same Luci!
Torreslanda Home, Pato's Room:
Pato is working out his hand, he can lift his forearm a little. He smiles about that. The phone rings and its a skype call from Rod. Pato wants to know wuz up with his bro? Rod tells him horrible, Gagme was just there bitchin' at him, and that now fortunely she has left the building! Pato tells him sorry bout that. Pato would like Rod to come by and see him. Rod the Bod, true to his word, says he is so NOT coming to the house, and further more he doesn't want to see his loca mama, he is starting to get angry. Pato asks him to calm down. Rod tells his bubby Pato that Gagme is creating a war against Luci. Gagme can't accept the fact that Luci will have an office here in the Torreslanda Bidness and the office will probably be near him. Rod tells Pato that marrying Gagme was the biggest mistake of his life. What's more he wants to divorce Gagme! Pato just looks at him. Pato wants to know if he has given any thought to Luci and the baby she is carrying. Rod tells his bubby that Luci is resistant to him cause he is married to Gagme. Well, wouldn't you know it, a nice conversation, interrupted and filling the screen on Rod's end is the wait for it, La Loca Mama, screaming at Rod. She screams at him he is so NOT divorcing Gagme and he better remember that! Well Rod tells her, he respects her (say what!!!!) but he is done with her making decisions for him, he is making his own DECISIONS!!!! and says Buones Noches and CLICK the screen goes black. Pato turns to his loca mama and asks what the hey is up with her? She says she wants them all to forgive her Hanna, Pato and Rod. Rod will not forgive her and it bothers her. She thought once she confessed everything she did, she would find peace, but she hasn't. She feels she is less of a wife and mother. Pato tells her this is normal for her to feel this way after everything she did and now has to deal with the consequences of her own actions. He tells his loca mama, he can't speak for Hanna or Rod, but as for him, he loves his mama. Rosa la loca hugs Pato's head at this and says my Pato, my Pato and she is crying she also says mi nino. Pato is looking uncomfortable.
The Witches Meet:
The witches are meeting, it isn't a coven this time, just Gagme and The Champagne Queen. Gagme is witchin' to her Mama the Champagne Queen that she is so not eva, giving Rod a divorce. It would be Rodrigo es Mio's ultimate revenge on her. She doesn't want Rodrigo es Mio, anywhere near Luci. Well the Champagne Queen tells her little witchy spawn, (Thanks DaisynJay) well look at it this way, be nice to him, cause I am gonna 'splain something to you. There can only be one heir to the Torreslanda Bidness. Right now Luci's baby is the main heir cause she got pregnant way before you did. So either Luci's baby has to die or disappear and then your baby, oh my little spawn, shall be the ONLY heir! Gagme has put her thinking cap on, oh the horror!!!!!
Club Inferno:
Vio has just finished a song and is talking to Polo when Mr. Lemon Sucking Face, also known as Marcial, comes up behind her and calls her Mi Amor, lookin' for a little suga. Well, Ms Vio turns around and calls him an infeliz! Vio is sick of Marcial's lies. He wants to know what lies? Ms Vio tells him his divorce demand was a fake. Mr. Lemon Sucking Face would like to explain when Ms Vio slaps the crap out of the side of his face, and Polo has taken a whiskey bottle as a weapon, in case Mr. Lemon Sucking Face would like to smack her back. Marcial is begging her to let him please explain, when she smacks the other side of his face, and Polo still has that whiskey bottle. Ms Vio tells him to shut the hell up and quit bothering her. Ivan is over in the corner laughing his butt off. Polo is giving Mr. Lemon Sucking Face the death ray! Vio goes but before she does she wants to call security I think?
Vicky and Don J's Home:
Aldo and Vicky are together at her house and Aldo wants to know how it went. Poor Aldo had to wait for his Tio outside at the Afternoon Delight Suite. Vicky wants Aldo to pipe down so her Papa doesn't wake up. She tells Aldo she broached the subject with his Tio about wanting her own salon, but she's afraid his Tio will not help her. Aldo wants to know why not, she's a beautiful and sexy lady and his Tio will give in. Vicky doesn't think so , but well we'll see she tells him. Aldo will like to take her out to Club Inferno now, but she doesn't want to go tonight. She wants to get some rest and for her Papa not to worry about her being out, she'll go with him tomorrow, she gives Aldo a kiss and then he goes.
Torreslanda Home, The Library:
Conny is telling Max about the meeting with the doctor today with Rosa. Melissa and Hanna are also there. Conny tells Max that Rosa is resistant to the idea of seeing the "other" doctor, but Conny will try to convince her sissy to go. Max tells Hanna and the assembled women that Rosa has lived with this torment for many years (which was of her own making). Max says she thought she would have peace after confessing all and that is clearly not the case. She is still full of hate.Melissa tells her Tio finally that Claudio told her most of it, and that's why she hadn't been coming to the house. She wanted Rosa to tell all before she would come back. They all stare at her. Melissa tells them she didn't want to cause any problems and was afraid she would let slip what she knew. Of course, when Max hears Claudio told Melissa the truth, it is now all Linares' fault!
A Bar Somewhere In The D.F.
Gabe, Marcos, and Rod, and some other guy, are all out at a bar. They are playing dominoes too. Rod is happy they came with him. Can't stand going home to that screaming Mimi of a wifey pooh. Rod tells them that tomorrow Luci will be at the office. About this time, Marcos gets a call from Fernanda wanting to know where he is at, and Marcos tells her out with Rod and Gabe. He tells her he loves her and hangs up. Rod says clearly that was Fernanda checking up on you to find out if I was with you! Rod the Bod wants Gagme to get it thru her head he doesn't want to be with her.
Gagme and Rod Torreslanda's Apartment of Tainted Love:
Fernanda and and Gagme, along with poor Val are sitting around. Gagme says clearly Rod doesn't want to be with me, he never touches me and that he doesn't even want to talk to her. Val, bless her heart, says well of course Rod would want to be near Luci! Gagme tells her to shut up already, grabs Val and tells her to LARGATE and besides that, grabs Fernanda too, and tells her to LARGATE, and throws sofa pillows at them as they leave, Fernanda has to kick the pillows out of the doorway so she can close the door, lol. After they go Gagme sits down and has a little pity party for herself and says, Maldita Luciana, Maldidta domestica de quarta!
On The Street In The Hood:
Aldo, Fabian and Lorenzo are meeting about the possiblity of Aldo being a partner in the taqueria they want to open. Aldo wants to know if Claudio would help them, since he got half of Torreslanda. Lorenzo tells him no, you are our partner and you want to help us right? Aldo says he will get some money from his Tio to invest in the bidness, and they will need lots of stuff for the restaurant, ya know plates, napkins etc. Lorenzo and Aldo shake on it but Fabian is very reluctant to. Lorenzo has to convince him and even when he does shake, Fabian is looking skeptical!
Rosa and Max's Den of Inquity:
Rosa and Max are in their p.j's getting ready for bed. Rosa is on the love seat in the bedroom and Max is telling her that tomorrow Linares is coming to take his position at the Torreslanda Bidness. Rosa doesn't want Max to give him an office. Max says doesn't want to either, but the Judge was very clear. Rosa doesn't want Claudio to have a big office at the bidness, (Oh what does she want to give Claudio, Aldo's office, maybe?) She doesn't like it. He also informs Rosa not only Claudio gets an office, but Luci too! Rosa doesn't want that ignorant girl to have an office at TL, she so doesn't get one. Max says sorry have to. He says you told your kids the truth why do you keep tormenting yourself? Max says Claudio has done his time now, nothing else to do. Rosa says she will never, eva ask Luci for forgivness. Well Max starts laughing and says the woman you hate, whose Papa we sent to the carcel, you ruined her life and she didn't send you to jail for the baby 'napping. And now you won't ask for her forgivness??? Max starts laughing, Rosa goes off in a snit, and Max is still laughing so hard he is smacking his leg.
Club Inferno Sometime Later:
Aldo is talking to Polo and sees Marcial. Aldo says oh that guy is here again. Polo says yeah he's a client. Now this is in the casino part of the club. Aldo greets Marcial at the card table and everyone else goes. Aldo sits down and says wow, you spend as much time here as I do. Marcial asks Aldo if he can trust him? Aldo says sure, why not, when Ruh Roh, Marcial says well , wait for it, I'm a cop investigating this Club Inferno, the casino especially cause there is some illegal activity going on and I'm trying to find out who the owner is. Well, Aldo thinks this is a great big joke, but Marcial assures him it's no joke. Aldo is scared witless and Ivan is giving them the stink eye wondering why they look so chummy all of a sudden.
Gagme and Rod Torreslanda's Apartment of Tainted Love, Sometime Later:
Gagme is waiting for Rodrigo es so Mio to get home. The apartment is dimly lit and he comes in and she proceeds to let him have it. He has no consideration for her, she's his wife, and how he loves that domestica and how he was out getting drunk with his friends. Rod tells her he isn't drunk, but I bet he wishes he were. Rodrigo so es not Mio, tells her he'd rather be elsewhere than with her, he thinks of Luci cause Gagme ruined that for him. Well Gagme has had enough so spills all her frijoles. She tells him his Mama was so right about everything, Claudio being Luci's papa. Rod rounds on her and says you knew? She says course she did and not only her but Julie, Max, Conny and Mati all knew before his loca mama confessed. Rod grabs her arms and shakes her, and wants to know why she didn't tell him! Gagme says the whole while you thought Linares was Luci's lover, Luci was pregnant with your bebe and I didn't want you to go off chasing after her, once you found out. She says she knew it all and knew that he would never marry her if he knew, so that's why she didn't tell him. Well, Rod is beyond pithed now. He actually thanks her for not telling him, and says now that is another reason why she will never be his wife, just the mother of his bebe! And that is all she will eva, eva be. Rod stalks off and Gagme is left alone in her misery. She cries and calls herself, are you ready, ya sure, ESTUPIDA!!! Yay!
The Next Day:
Torreslanda Home Foyer:
Max and Aldo are hurrying down the stairs trying to get the hell outta there, oops, I mean to get to work, when Rosa comes running behind them wanting Max to wait for her. Max says he doesn't want to listen to her intrigue with the office. What she is actually wanting is for Max to have Padre Honesto come and bless the bidness to keep the devil out, lol. Max just looks at her and says the only thing the devil is tormenting is her, and hurrys off with Aldo.
Estelita's Apartment In The Hood:
Luci is thanking Estelita and Ofelia for letting her stay over. She gives them hugs and kisses and goes on her way. After Luci leaves Estelita and Ofelia have a little convo about how surprised they are that Rosa told the truth. Estelita thinks that maybe Luci can help Ofelia get a job. But Ofelia doesn't like to ask her, she'd rather keep looking. There is a knock on the door and it is Lastra again. This time he has brought Ofelia what looks like an orchid. Ofelia tells him thanks but no thanks, doesn't want to give him hope, doesn't want to come back to Club Inferno, and she is so not into him. Lastra wants to win her over.
Het Het:
We are in the beautiful little hamlet of Het Het and Magda has discovered the phone is working. Yay. Well Paz goes to get the numbers she has, cause they don't know what hotel Luci stayed at last night, Magda suggests the cell phone of Claudio. The ladies peer at those numbers, and they really need some reading glasses, and Magda dials and get the recording of you must have misdialed this number cause it ain't right. The ladies are like say what? Its like calling the devil on a cell phone, lol. Anyhoo, they say well let's go ask Copio he knows all about phones! Now this paticular phone is a touch tone phone, not a dial one like they are used to. Then Paz says did you dial all the numbers? Magda says no, so they try again, lol.
Torreslanda Bidness Main Lobby:
Claudio and Luci have arrived at the bidness. Luci is very nervous. Claudio knows this is difficult for her but she needs to confront them all. She says ok, she'll do it, but she needs a couple minutes to calm down and compose herself. Claudio tells her three minutes cause Selena is waiting along with the rest of them. Luci says ok, she'll be there and Claudio goes. Luci is catching her breath and crosses herself to say a little prayer when Rod the Bod calls her name. Luci turns around and asks what he wants. He wants to know how her and the baby are? She laughs and says they are both fine. He has a profound look of love in his eyes and he tells her he knows she doesn't want to be with him, but he would like to be a part of the baby's life. Rod the Bod tells Luci he would love for her to forgive him and now he knows she is the daughter of Claudio Linares. Rod the Bod tells Luci he was an idiot and very jealous of Claudio. Rod The Bod tells Luci that the only reason he married Gala was because he was jealous, he was angry and full of spite. Rod the Bod just wanted Luci to know that the only woman he loves, will ever love in all the world is Luci. He has a look of pleading love in his eyes, and Luci is looking skeptical and here is where we end tonight.
Advances:
Gala goes to the Torreslanda Bidness and confronts Luci!
Rod is trying to win Luci back.

I wonder if the TL family can get a group rate with "the other doctor". Everyone one of them could use the help, except maybe Pato and Hanna.
I am surprised that Gagme and Bubbles haven't moved into the TL manse. Wouldn't it be fun to watch that dynamic. It would be just like a manicomio.

Great recap Mads! We're gearing up for some interesting plot developments with the Linares in the midst of TL HQ, the Blonde Bitches on the warpath, Marcial's investigation exposed (what an idiot!), and Rod determined to rid himself of Gala.
I was proud of Vicky for telling Max to stop abusing her as a way of showing his power. He was really surprised by that. It may just work. Not sure if he'll actually put out any money for her business, but not being abused anymore is a start. What an interesting dynamic she and Aldo have. They're super flirty, but never go beyond chaste kisses. Plus he knows she's boinking his uncle, and is encouraging her to get something out of the deal. Not sure where these two are going to go in their relationship. Max won't even allow them to have a relationship!
Could not believe Rosa's nerve suggesting that Padre go bless the offices before the devil (CL and Luci) arrive. Seriously?! The hypocrisy of that woman!
It was nice to see Luci back with all her vecinidad friends. The discussion on names was funny. Luci is not the only one who suffers from pride. Lorenzo doesn't want to ask Luci for money, and Ofelia doesn't want to ask Luci for a job. Everyone wants to do things on their own.
Had to laugh when Gala called herself estupida for revealing her role in keeping him ignorant of the truth about Luci (baby and birthright). By the way, it was Fernanda that she threw out with Vale, not her mama.

Honestly Vicki and Aldo are as dumb as a bag of rocks. Max is losing half of his fortune and business and these two want to extract some money for their own businesses. Talk about rotten timing.
Now Lor is just as much a blockhead as Luci refusing an offer of help from a family member and trying to believe Aldo is the answer. At least Fab has the sense to think he is whistling up the wrong tree.
Estelita thinks like I did, here is a change for Ofelia to ask Luci to help her get a job but no yet another idiot refusing to look a gift horse in the mouth and then have Lastra show up. He makes me throw up in my mouth with his fawning over the woman.
WTH kind of an undercover cop is Marcial, blabbing that he is on the job and to Aldo. Sure he thinks the guy is only a friend of Vi but he may just have signed his death warrant cause Aldo won't keep his mouth shut. If nothing else he is in for a beat down and how many times can he tell Vi just let me explain before she whips out the cast iron skillet and smacks him with it.
Must admit i did love Max laughing at Rosa over the fact that the only reason she isn't in the carcel is because the girl she hates the most in the world gave her a pardon. Having no sense of humor Rosa just didn't get it.
Poor Rod returns to Hell House for the nightly dose of shrew haranguing. Beats me why he doesn't just move out, she is his wife in name only but I wonder if the infamous contract said he had to live with Her Bitchiness.

Estelita thinks like I did, here is a change for Ofelia to ask Luci to help her get a job but no yet another idiot refusing to look a gift horse in the mouth and then have Lastra show up. He makes me throw up in my mouth with his fawning over the woman.
WTH kind of an undercover cop is Marcial, blabbing that he is on the job and to Aldo. Sure he thinks the guy is only a friend of Vi but he may just have signed his death warrant cause Aldo won't keep his mouth shut. If nothing else he is in for a beat down and how many times can he tell Vi just let me explain before she whips out the cast iron skillet and smacks him with it.
Must admit i did love Max laughing at Rosa over the fact that the only reason she isn't in the carcel is because the girl she hates the most in the world gave her a pardon. Having no sense of humor Rosa just didn't get it.
Poor Rod returns to Hell House for the nightly dose of shrew haranguing. Beats me why he doesn't just move out, she is his wife in name only but I wonder if the infamous contract said he had to live with Her Bitchiness.

Who's running Gala's magazine with her constantly chasing Rod and causing him grief? If she signed a prenup she needs to make her own money.

LOved the episode, actually, because Rod the Bod returned and left 'Dead to me Rod' behind so far.
By the way, Rod told Gag 'thanks for telling me you knew about Luci's pregnancy and origin' (or stte) ... he was thanking her for telling him she had known all along because that breaks all the chains for him (guilt, duty) except for the fact that he is having a child with her. But now he does not have to feel bad about treating her like a fly on the wall both at the office and at the 'loft', since he now knows she intentionally did not tell him about Luci so he would marry her.
And at the beginning of the ep at the office he told her not to consider herself 'owner' of the TL bidness since he had her sign a prenup agreement and they both know what she would get if they got divorced. She says just sit and wait, i will never give you the divorce!

Actually Julie is worse than Rosa because she proposed DEATH not just disappearance for Luci's baby. She suggested Gala cozy up to Luci so that she learns Luci's movements and whereabouts. The funny thing is that Gala has no self control and could never pretend act friendliness with Luci. Just like she can't stop being a raving bitch to Rod, instead of the understanding wife Julie has urged her to be.
Diana- I think Vicky sees that she has few options with this Max situation. He won't let her go. She tried to leave him. She gets nothing out of trying to end things because he won't allow it and it just makes him more abusive towards her. She also still seems to "love" him. But if she stays with him, Aldo has pointed out that he will eventually dump her for another young mistress and will never leave his wife for her-- Vicky gets used, abused and dumped and gets nothing. Trying to get her own biz is a bit of insurance for her. If this doesn't work, Vicky's next plan is to expose the affair to Rosa so that Max is forced to dump her.
Roselena may just decide the situation suits her because she is certainly not interested in having sex with Max. She may think it just as well that another woman would relieve her of that unpleasantness.

Rosemary Primera- I too am surprised that Gagme and the Champagne Queen haven't moved into the manse either. But they don't like to deal with la loca, and realize they are better off at their own places. They won't have to deal with her on a daily basis.

I guess she thought her kids would instantly forgive her, but I recapped the horror of her moving those baby bones into Aurora's grave and it was horrific. How she doesn't see that is loca of course. Her reasoning is soundly skewed. I am glad Luci didn't throw her in jail though, cause now she has to live with the consequences of seeing the people she loves, everyday judging her. That is the ultimate punishment for la loca.

I don't think Gala and Rosa are natural murderers, but I think Julie would know all the right crazy buttons to push with those two to drive them to it. • Third – Luci’s first day outfit was a disaster. Seriously – she had butterfly wing from teat to teat! So not good… However, La Loca’s blue/white capped sleeve dress was very pretty. I loved that!

Always thought that Rosaelena was crazy. Now I am not so sure. While her actions are depraved, cold, and calculating, she believed that Aurora was trying to steal her man. All actions after that have been her steadfast attempts to bring every one around to her way of thinking. Her prostrating herself in the chapel was her attempt at manipulating God into seeing things her way. Managing Gagme's marriage to Rod was the same thing. Rod is my child and he should hold the same belief system that I have to the extent of hating Aurora and her spawn. She keeps visiting Padre Honesto and he keeps telling her what she has to do to get forgiveness but she has no interest in this because there is nothing to forgive. Why can't the Padre understand and agree with her actions. Same with Max. When is he going to agree that he did have an affair with Aurora like Rosa thinks. Max did confess to Rod that he didn't pay enough attention to Rosa. And, that he did admire Aurora. Until everyone and everybody agrees with her she will continue to go into her condition that makes everyone around her think she is loosing her gripe on reality but that truly is only another manipulation mode. This is all about actions that come from her justifications and her facts. Does it make her crazy that, despite all things to the contrary, she still thinks Max and Aurora were an item and that Aurora tried to take her man? She did see them in a jewelry store together. Max even laughed at Rosa when he said even after all the things you did to Luci you won't accept her forgiveness. That she has been unable to make Luci disappear from her and her children's life is what prevents her from being Rosaelena the great mother and wonderful wife that must punish her husband for his infidelity with Aurora. It is ironic that if she had simply been nice to Luci and let her be a maid Rosaelena could have kept her masquerade and all would be hunky dunky dory. But then there would be no telenovela. Probably I am crazy for putting this much effort into trying to pull the mask off of Rosaelena.

Anon 10:26- I loved your analysis of Rosa's manipulation. She does manipulate all the people around her or tries to. But they don't listen. Except maybe Mati, but even she can see that Rosa, is well la loca. Especially her take on religion. Blessing the office to keep the devil out, that is like wayyy out there.

Nole Girl- I'm with you about Luci's blouse too. I wish she had worn the ones she wears in Het Het. So pretty and fits her better. I hope she doesn't go down the road with the short skirts and heels either. As far as Pato goes, he did forgive her, and wants her to get better, but that is a pipe dream. I don't think la loca will ever get better, but only worse. Pato always sees the good in people and if they've done something wrong he calls them on it and wants them to change.

I'm less concerned about Luci in the office. Gagme and Rosa can show up and make scenes and throw snotty comments but that's it. Max has nothing against her, Oscar is there, Claudio will be there, Rod is salivating thinking he can win her back because she is there and Pato may now decide to spend more time in the office as well. I really have a problem thinking how the B Brujas can get to her to harm the baby. I'm of the opinion there will be a baby switch or snatch both of which bug the bejeezus our of me.

Great anysis Anon. Spot on about Rosa and the sickening aspect that so many just roll eyes and give her a pass, even as she gets worse.
Madelaine--I know Alchohol in her veins may never actually kill a child herself, but both she and Gagme now know how unhinged Rosa is and can work to push her buttons to think of doing it. It's still Rodrigo's child though, so not sure she could go thru with that. However, TN's do like to "repeat history", so as much as I don't like to think about it, could we be getting set up for a baby-stealing?
And I go with Rosa's horror at seeing another doctor was implied to be a psychiatrist. I don't think she would have been that dramatic for a neurosurgeon. (Heck it would give her an excuse). But trying to imply she has personality issues would make her feel insulted since she just thinks noone understands her.
Headaches are probably high blood pressure from all her intense rantings, etc.

TNs love the parallel theme so I am sure it will be a baby snatching. I fear she will be in the capital when she has the baby and not HetHet. I hope all of those that love her in the capital will watching over her very carefully and prevent any of the coven from doing her or baby the harm. But again this is a TN and without something going wrong there will be no story and we wouldn't be watching and becoming so involved.

Superb recap Madelaine. You put so much time and effort into your work and it is much appreciated.
Although I'm uncomfortable with Vicky and Aldo's schemes to extract money from Max, I felt like applauding when she gently reminded him that he had no reason to treat her badly as proof of his power. That restrained, and completely legitimate, reproach seemed to get through to him.
I didn't mind Luci's outfit last night. I always think she looks beautiful, and especially when she wears headbands. And of course I love it that her look is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from every other woman on the show. But have to agree with the other commenter that Roselena is always dressed beautifully as well. Lovely surface covering over a hellish interior.
Julie's assertion last night that there can only be on inheritor sent chills down my spine. Do NOT like where this is going.

Julie is protecting her investment through Gala and Rosa by convincing them that they need to get rid of the competition. She's going to keep her hands clean with whatever plot they come up with. Night before last she took the lead as head plotter when she told RE and Gaga to calm down. They have to think intelligently.
So satisfied with Rod telling Gaga off. She keeps insisting that she will never give him a divorce. Geez, he's a bright businessman. He needs to talk to a divorce lawyer asap. The divorcio express has been used in other telenovelas, why not this one....apparently in Mexico there is such a thing as no-fault, one side files, wait a bit and listo, done deal.
About the padre's blessing to keep the devils away. There is a custom to put a penny in every corner of a room when moving into a new house for good luck, so it isn't that far fetched to have a blessing done on offices (after all it's done for ships and animals).

I thought the doctor said she needed an MRI? Under one of the laws of the telenovela she probably has a tumor on the brain, which when removed will turn her into saint Rosa.

Anita you were typing when I was posting. So agree with you too about the divorce thingy. I watched another TN set in the D.F. last year called Para Volver A Amar and one of the characters got a divorce, sold the house and took all the money before his wife and kids found out. I never heard of the penny thing. I thought they broke champagne over the bow of a ship for luck. When I was in the Navy, the captain of the ship I was on, actually kept a parrot for luck, lol.

Ok I'll say my daily mantra: This is only a tn, this is only a tn. They are not for real, they are not for real!!!But... how can you not get upset with the three witches!!!! First, La Loca, I feel like watching horror movies where you think that's the end of her and she rises back to life and continue her monstrosities.This woman did not repent at all!!! she has her niche in hell for that matter.How can she say that Rod's baby with Luciana is a bastard when it was conceived during their marriage/honeymoon together!And therefore will be the first-borne Torreslanda much to my regret. should be a Linares. And Julie and Gagme they too have a place in hell. Vivi, I have a question, does the Torreslanda empire own the magazine company that Gagme manages? Would that it be, so Luciana could fire Gagme. Hey Vida2-- No, the TL's do not own Gala's magazine. Fernada and Valentina don't work. They are spoiled rich girls, so they have time to sit around drinking tea all day in Gala's office. I'm not sure why they are friends with her, but I never got why girls in high school were friends with the mean girls. This just seems like a continuation of high school behavior, at least on Fernanda's part. She's always Gala's yes man. Valentina, on the other hand, is just a bit dim and I don't think it has ever occured to her to get new friends who would appreciate her.
Vida- I don't think we can apply real logic to anything Rosa does or says, so there's no point in asking logical questions like: "How can she say that Rod's baby with Luciana is a bastard when it was conceived during their marriage/honeymoon together!"
In Rosa's world, Aurora Linares is/was her worst enemy. The kind woman she secretly wishes she was (good, kind, smart, loyal, loving, warm, beloved, admired, beautiful inside and out, etc.). Rosa was jealous of her. So much so, that she convinced herself that Aurora was really the worst of women, nothing like what everyone believed her to be-- a hypocrite, a man stealer, etc. By convincing herself that Aurora was a bad person, she convinced herself that she (Rosa) was a better person-- the one who SHOULD be admired. Accusing Aurora of having an affair with and getting pregnant by Max was just a convenient way supporting this made-up narrative of "bad Aurora." Luci and any child Luci has are extensions of Aurora. The fact that Luci is just as good and noble as her mother, and looks like her too, just makes it that much easier to transfer the hate and jealousy Rosa felt for Aurora to Luci. She will always see Luci as being the worst kind of person, just like she did Aurora. Nothing anyone says or does is going to change that.

Emarie- I couldn't help myself. The way Rosa things she would try and give Claudio the broom closet and Luci the smallest closet after that, if it was up to her, lol.

Vivi- totally agree with you on the assessment of Rosa as far as she thinks of Aurora. She just cannot let go of the idea that Aurora and Max cheated on her. No matter how many times Max tells her it isn't so, she will never beleive it and also she will continually transfer these feelings on to Luci, who is just a poor innocent girl who had nothing to do with all this crap.
The writers should insert another TN cliché … Aurora’s long-lost identical twin coming to town as a successful entrepreneur, meeting CL and taking Luciana under her wing. La Loca can see her everywhere … at the office … at the country club … in a restaurant --- at church – but is afraid to mention it to anyone because she’s convinced she’s going loca! Then her children, one by one, will meet this new person and get to (gasp!) … LOVE her like a mother!
