Refugio Para el Amor #146 Thu 11/1/12 Time For Me To Fly, Part II, Come Fly With Me, Let's Fly, Let's Fly Away
Torreslanda Bidness, Luci's Office:
Pato and Luci are having a little conversation, you know the one from yesterday, about how she can't be near her Roddy right now, ok, not her Roddy, but you know she is thinkin' it. She doesn't want to be the "other woman" even though Rod told her that she is the one and only. She loves him so much and so she can't be near him, so she is going to Het Het and doesn't know when she is coming back, probably indefinitely. Pato asks her what about me? What about us?
Rod and Gagme's Apartment of No Love Lost:
Gagme, also now known as Skankarella, is sleepin' off that alcohol, doncha know, when Rod comes bustin' into that bedroom, he normally wouldn't go into. Skankarella, assuming it's Frigid, says I told you not to bother me already. Well, Rod informs her its not Frigid, its him. Gagme gets up for this and says to what do I owe the honor of your presence in this bedroom, hmmm? Rod is pithed at Gagme and tells her well since you were sleepin' it off, Alexia was unwell in school and you couldn't be bothered to go get her, too busy sleeping. Ya know, Frigid, the Nanny and I spend way more time with Alexia than you do, so obvio Alexia isn't important to you. Gagme contradicts him and says of course Alexia is important to her, and don't forget Rod es Mio, you will never be free, while she gives him a flirty look, playin' with his tie, and he backs away as if he is catching the Skankarella's cooties.
Back to Luci's Office:
Pato is pressing his point, what about us, you and I? Luci is looking like Que??? He tries to explain to her how much they have been helping each other lo, these five years, helping those ladies in Het Het, she just can't abandon these things. She tells Pato of course she is not abandoning the foundation, it's just painful for her to be here at the Torreslanda Bidness. She'll miss her Papa, her friends but she has to go. So Pato, I'm sorry about this but I have to say it, is crossing the line here, and accuses Luci of abandoning her son, what about her son, he asks? You gonna abandon him too, just cause you don't want to be near Rod? Luci is now speechless and gives Pato a look, and Pato now realizes he has crossed a line.
Boxcar Barrio:
Don Chelo and Mateo have come back to their humble abode. Dona Chuy is there and Mateo is talking about their day, and how he wanted his Papa to sing. So Mateo starts singing Figaro, Figaro. Little Mateo would like someday, to sing at the Opera. Don C tells him he can learn little, by little, it takes many years of learning, discipline and training of the voice to sing at the Opera, but first Mateo needs to learn his numbers and letters.
Back at Luci's Office Again:
Pato now realizes he has crossed the line,and begs Luci for forgiveness. Pato looks uncomfortable, and Luci looks at him strangely and tells him not to worry about it. She looks hurt. Luci also informs Pato she may abandon everything, but never her son. Luci informs Pato for five long years she has searched for her son, went to every agency and person who could help her, everyone. Pato rolls over to Luci, takes her hand, and begs for forgiveness again. Luci reminds him he can always come to Het Het whenever he wants. He says he knows that but wanted to be near her, help her as they always have done. Luci informs Pato there is nothing to forgive and she touches his face, gently and he closes his eyes, it is as if it is to him a lover's touch. She tells him she loves him, and he puts his hand over hers and says he loves her muchly. Does Luci not have a clue, what he really means?
Rod and Gagme's Apartment of No Love Lost:
We see the Torreslanda-Linares, Rodrigo, bebe bracelet and then the hand holding it. It is Frigid that still possessess that bracelet and she holds it in her hand with an inquisitive look on her face, then she smiles at herself in the mirror and nods her head. Note to Frigid, come on now, give it up already, never mind the purse, just go to Rod and tell him you found it. Anything, to end this agony, jus' sayin'.
Back to Luci's Office Again:
Pato wants to know how long Luci will be gone, and she tells him she doesn't know. He wants to know if he can go with. He could help with foundation work up there, the women that make the pottery and they can do alot of work up there. Luci has a pensive look on her face.
Torreslanda Home, Sitting Room:
Here we have, gathered together, Conny, her sister la loca and the hapless Jana. Rosa is going to arrange the engagement dinner, where Boris' parents will formally ask for Jana's hand in marriage. Conny looks uncomfortable. Rosa la loca notices that Jana doesn't have her engagement ring on and asks where it is? Jana says she took it off to wash her hands, and Conny says she's done that too. Well, Rosa aint havin' it, oh noes, she didn't. Rosa tells her that ring is NEVER, EVER, to leave that finger and to remember she is an engaged woman. Ok, note to Rosa la loca, Jana never told Boris yes, so technically she may be wearing that ring, but she ain't engaged, jus' sayin'. So Rosa's face changes from the demented visage she has, to a begging, pleading one. It is as if it was day and night with her. This woman is truly round the bend. She begs Jana to have this dinner, come with her Mama tomorrow to arrange it, the food, etc and she brings on the tears to boot. Rosa says she has the best novio, the handsomest, bestest, you get the pic. Well about this time, Jana has had enough, so she starts shoving back. She tells her loca Mama she isn't a little girl anymore and not to treat her like one. So Rosa starts in about that her children will never forgive her for her mistakes of the past and when she's gone they will talk about how bad she was, she is laying on the guilt and grief, as is her wont. She begs Dios, why, why? Note to la loca, talk to Dios' hand, cause the ear ain't listening, jus' sayin. Conny is shooting Jana a look but Jana isn't budging.
The Hood:
Vio, Serena, Fabian are all giving Lorenzo some good intended advice about staying away from Jana, cause you know how her loca mama is, look what she did to Luci and Paz. Lorenzo has nerves of steel cause he tells them he ain't Luci and he will perservere. Yeah, Lor.
Back to the Torreslanda Sitting Room:
Oh, look, la loca is laying on the tears, oh poor pitiful me. All I can say is my eyes, my eyes, I can't take it anymore with the fake grief, ok, I took a deep cleansing breath and can continue now. Sorry for the interruption. Jana has had enough too, and begs her la loca mama to calm herself and stop the crying. La Loca just wants to help her Jana, (Note to Jana: Run, Jana, Run, run wild and free, get outta there). Then Rosa la loca begs her sister to help her with this child, Por Dios! I am gagging already. Conny tells Jana, I don't know what the heck Conny is thinking here, but I have an idea, that it is every Mother's dream to see their only daughter get married,as if. especially when her girl is so in love, like you and Conny is playing with Jana's curls. Jana turns her head and has the deer in the headlights look. Conny asks Jana now you are marrying cause you are in love, right? Jana says buono, and Pato comes in and saves her bacon. Jana is very glad to see him, kisses his cheek and goes. Rosa tells Pato, tomorrow is the IMPORTANT engagment dinner and he is to be there, to which he replies, sorry can't, tomorrow going to Het Het with Luci, don't know when I'll be back.Well Rosa is so not likin' this crimp in mis planes and says you are going where? He says it depends on how long Luci wants to stay up there. Well, Rosa la loca heartily disagrees with Pato, says this dinner is formal, and HE WILL BE THERE. Pato cuts her off, mid sentence and says this dinner was arranged by Rosa, he's scooting out of there and tells her to enjoy herself and goes. She is shocked, I tell you shocked. One of her children rebelled. YaY!!!!! She is yelling after him, but he keeps on going. Conny now tells her she is going too, having dinner with Oscar and her kids so bye, bye and she goes. Rosa la loca is left with her seething emotions.
Luci's Apartment of Love and Regret:
Luci and Claudio are having dinner and she is explaining why she is leaving the D.F. and Torreslanda Bidness can't be around Rod, etc, but Claudio the man of wisdom tells her, just cause you go away doesn't mean the pain lessens. She says she knows but being around Magda, her Mama Paz, Ariche and Namaruchi and the ladies that do the pottery will do her good. Claudio says ok, if this is what you want. Luci wants to ask Claudio a question. He says go ahead. She was wondering if he ever thought of maybe meeting a special someone, Melissa's talk must have stuck with her all these years. Claudio smiles and says he still thinks of Aurora, there is a special light of love in his eyes as he says this, plus now Luci and his grandson and that is enough for him. Luci puts her hand out and they hold hands and eat their dinner.
Rod and Gagme's Apartment of No Love Lost:
Gagme is dressed in her latest Skankarella outfit, you know bright pink skirt, black patterned shirt, F-me heels and she looks like Twiggy, so thin. Rod comes into the room and asks where she is going. He has raised his voice and Skankarella tells him to lower it, before Alexia hears and wants to know why her parents are having a kerfuffle doncha know. Skankarella informs Rod that he hasn't touched her in years, it's become a habit and the only reason he married her was for Alexia and nothing else. Rod es Mio agrees with her. Skankarella informs Rod es Mio since he is always chasing that "domestica" she's gonna find a man, it's her turn dammit. and she wants to find a man that treats her as his woman. She brushes by him on her way out, while Rod just stands there with his arms folded. I say Rod grow a pair of avacadoes, get a P.I. to follow her, get the goods on her, and there you go, divorce.
Abandoned Apartment of Afternoon Delight with Just Max:
Max is at this apartment all by his lonesome texting Vicky to come meet up with him. Well, she gets the text and texts him back, don't wait for me, I'm not showing up. When he gets this text, he does a Sergio Sendel, and hurls that phone. Meanwhile, Vicky is at home, drinking her coffee, with some new makeup that makes her face appear brighter and she says to herself she's sorry but he will have to bear the punishment for everything he did to her. You go Vicky!
Classy Restaurant in the D.F.
Here we have gathered together, Conny, Oscar, Aldo and Melissa who are about to have dinner. Oscar is telling Aldo and Melissa what a wonderful woman their Mama is, how he wants to make it legal and marry her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her and kisses her as she smiles and blushes. He asks the kids what they think, Melissa likes it, but Oscar better take care of her Mama, and Aldo likes it too, as long as he protects his Mama, then Oscar turns to Conny and asks if she has made her decision. Conny tells him, wait for it, ok, we all knew she would say yes! Many smoochies while Melissa and Aldo look on. They are all very happy. Oscar tells her he loves her and they have a toast and all drink. Very happy gathering.
Torreslanda Home, Max and Rosa's Bedroom Of Shame:
Rosa is scrubbing her face with some type of cold cream that is leaving her face all greasy. Max comes in and she wants to know why he is coming home so late. Max is sick of her mal-intentioned questions, she begs to differ and says not mal- intentioned just wanted to know why he is late. Then she lays the engagment dinner on him, for tomorrow. Max wants to know if Jana arranged this, of course she didn't, and Max is so not down with this and Boris' parents too. He reminds la loca she asked for forgiveness of her kids and here she is sticking her grimy fingers in their personal lives. Rosa la loca says she is afraid Jana and Lorenzo may hook up and Max wants to know what is wrong with that? Lor is Luci's brother so what is wrong with that. Well Rosa explains why she took Jana to Italy. She overheard a conversation with Lorenzo and Jana, they were going to meet before she took Jana to Italy, they would have had sex and Jana would have gotten pregnant with this taquero. Max tells Rosa she hasn't learned a thing. Look what she did to Rod and now she is trying to force Jana to marry a guy she DOESN'T LOVE!!! Rosa says she just wants Jana to have a marriage like theirs. Oh, now my ears are burning. Max says oh, exactly like ours, you are sentencing Jana to a wretched life. Max also tells Rosa, despite what she thinks he is STILL profoundly in love with her. This I really beleive is what Rosa la loca wants. Jana to suffer forever and for always, just like Rosa THINKS she suffered!
Pick up Bar in the D.F.
The Meeting of the Skankarella has begun. There is Fern, Champagne Queen, Skankarella herself and Carola, all enjoying a drink. Fern says look at you all out and wild and free when we thought you'd be home with your husband and child. Skankarella is determined to find a guy to boogie with, er, you know, horizontally, she is sick of Rod withholding the goods so to speak. After all, she has been waiting five years and enough is enough. The CQ advices her daughter the Skank, to be discreet and never let Rod find out. She tells her to look a little to the side cause there is some handsome dude checkin' her out. Fern glances over first and then the Skank, and as soon as the Skank does, he says Salud, She turns her head back, kinda smiling and he is still lookin'.
Rod and Gagme's Apartment of No Love Lost:
Poor Rod has fallen asleep on Alexia's bed, when he hears a noise that wakes him up. He checks his watch, sees the time, gets up and checks out the noise. Of course it is a drunk Skankarella, with one shoe off and one on. And Rod es Mio wants to know where she has been till four in the morning. She tells him keep talkin' like that to me and I'll go as she goes toward the door. Rod tells her, if she has found someone else can he please be the padrino at her next wedding. lol. She answers him sarcastically and says sure, she'd like that, he leaves the room and as he does, she basically says till death do us part, baby and she flings her shoe at his retreating back and calls him estupido.
Private Airport:
Claudio has brought Luci to the airport. Claudio asks Pato to take care of Luci and Pato says she's in good hands. Claudio kisses Luci, shakes Pato's hand and goes. Luci and Pato are sitting, waiting for the plane and Pato grabs her hand and holds it. Pato asks Luci if she is content, she says she is but looks troubled. Pato is all happy holding her hand, I just noticed his shirt is unbuttoned part way and oh la la, jus' sayin, and Luci is looking at the hands entwined and is puzzled. Luci tells Pato that when they get to Het Het she want to get some flowers for her Papa Galindo, cause they always go to visit the grave, her, Mama Paz, Magda and Ariche. Pato can come too. The Captain comes out to tell them the plane is ready and Pato lets go of her hand quickly. Luci is still confused about the hand holding as they board the plane.
Torreslanda Bidness, Selena's Desk:
Rod is asking after Pato and Luci, where are they? Selena breaks it to him that Pato and Luci have absconded to Het Het for an indefinite time. Rod is shocked. He goes to his office and thinks about the last conversation he and Luci had, and the kiss and then thinks, Hey Pato is single, Ruh Roh. Could they take a chance, and will she forget all about him and their bebe? Oh man of little faith, shame on you!!!!
Boxcar Barrio:
Don Chelo is trying to hurry Mateo along. They got things to do and Mateo is hurrying, and they go.
Het Het, Don Aquiles' Office:
Don A is pithed cause Copio is late and left the poor ole Don suffering with this sore toe, from the gout. (Note to Don A- They do have medicine for gout now, jus' sayin'). Anyway, Copio is telling him about why he is late, he stopped in to see Dona Paz, Dona Magda, Ariche and that muchacha that does the pottery, cause Luci is coming back this afternoon. Copio also tells him, as bad as he treated Dona Paz in the past, she is concerned about his gout and even has a recipe to ease the pain. He hates the way Don Aquiles complains, he should be nicer from all the efforts of the people trying to help him. Well Don Aquiles, blinded by pain, ok, maybe just mad throws a drink on Copio, who tells Don A this drink had too much sugar in it, lol, and Copio has to go and change. Don A's mood doesn't improve.
Het Het, Home of Magda and Paz:
Paz and Magda are preparing another yummy welcome dinner for Luci and Pato. Paz is making tortillas and Magda looks like she is chopping up peppers. Paz wants to know why Pato is tagging along with Luci, and is happy Luci is coming, but she is concerned about what Pato is up to. Why is he around Luci anyways. She tells Magda she is concerned about this, cause Rod and Luci are divorced, but they share a child and Pato is Luci's brother-in-law, but she is concerned. Magda gets it and they are both concerned now too. Ariche and Namaruchi have been preparing the table and Ariche says enough of that, dinner to cook. Paz laughs and says aren't you the little Patron and gets back to cooking.
Torreslanda Home, Dining Room:
Ah, here we have the dining room with Max on one end of this huge table and Rosa la loca on the other end, eating breakfast. Rosa la loca is bitching about Pato going off to Het Het with Luci. Max gets the impression that Rosa thinks Pato and Luci are involved. Max informs Rosa that this relationship of Pato and Luci's is a good one. Rosa thinks that Luci is chasing after Pato, oh, the nerve of this woman. Max tells Rosa to come off of it, already. For the last five years they have been each others support, they are friends, nothing else. Max wants Rosa to get the ghosts, suspicions and insecurities out of her head already. Aldo comes in about this time to eat too, and Rosa wants to know if that is all, Max says yes, he isn't talking about the bidness in front of her, she has enough to do with controlling the kids' lives and he makes the bidness decisions and he tells Aldo they gotta go. Sucks to be Aldo, never got a bite, and Rosa is left at that huge table all alone with the lemon look on her face.
Nicole's Nail Salon:
Nicole is admiring a brand new SUV parked outside the salon. Nicole thinks it is Vicky's but Vicky says no, not mine. Nicole thinks maybe it is a gift from Osito. Vicky doesn't think so, has been ignoring him for five years. She's so done with him. They go back into the salon.
Rod and Gagme's Apartment of No Love Lost:
The Skanks are all gathered together again, but this time, joined by Val, who by the way, I don't consider a skank. They are all drinking Bloody Marys.The Champagne Queen and Carola are talking about Italian men again and how great Mexican men are too. Fern is saying she wants to get her ya ya's out before being married, Skankarella wants to party hearty with some dude and Rod is gonna pay for it. Val isn't into the cheating at all and can't see how Skankarella can do this. (Note to Val: Please girl, go and don't look back). Frigid is using her old skill of listening to this convo. Skankarella complains for the umpteenth time that Rod doesn't really want her, chases that "domestica" every chance he gets and besides that woman lost her child and Frigid hears this part and gets a sad look on her face, but she still listens. Skankarella says this class of woman should never have a child and be a mother! Shocked look on Frigid's face and then she looks upset.
Het Het, Magda and Paz's Home:
Paz is welcoming Pato and Luci and Namaruchi is glad that Pato will be working up here in Het Het, she has a thing for Pato, you can just tell, and Luci says she is happy to be here. Luci wants to go check on the ladies too working with the pottery. The phone rings and its Rod of course wanting to phone stalk, er talk to Luci. Luci says what she thinks is a low voice, not right now, Rod overhears and tells Paz to have Luci call him back. He hangs up.
Torreslanda Bidness, Rod's Office:
Rod has just gotten off the phone, very sad, when Max comes in to inform Rod about that engagment dinner of Jana and Bore-us. Rod is pithed and says stand up for Jana, don't let Mama do this to her, like she did it to me. Max, you would think would stand up for his little and only girl, but oh, noes, his excuse is Rosa is sick. Oh, really then committ her butt to the manicomio already. Rod is pithed, he can't beleive Max is allowing Rosa to do this AGAIN.
Torreslanda Home, Sitting Room:
Rosa has called Bore-us and informed him the dinner is all set and now he has to hold up his end and talk to that taquero and that Bore-us better marry Jana and keep her away from that taquero. Click. Bore-us is lookin' as evil as the voice on the other end.
Nicole's Salon:
There is a delivery guy that has a delivery for Vicky. It's the keys to that SUV outside the salon. Vicky is SO excited. She squeals as she goes outside. Meanwhile, Aldo is in his car, watching Vicky unlock the door to the SUV and calls Max and informs him, Vicky just loves the SUV and is over the moon. Max is pleased as punch. Vicky says this SUV is all mine.
Jana's Office:
Rod has come by Jana's office to advise her not to marry Bore-us. Rod doesn't want her marrying him. Jana is confused. Why you ask? Rod tells her to listen to her heart and not what people tell her to do. Rod warns Jana that Rosa la loca is doing the same thing to Jana that she did to Rod. Think about this. Jana asks Rod if Pato is in Het Het? Rod tells her yes, on Foundation Bidness.
Taco Corner, I think in the Torreslanda Hood:
Oh, look Bore-us is slumming in the hood and just so happens he ends up on Lorenzo's corner. He informs Lor about the engagment dinner, not to chase after Jana anymore and besides him being a taquero he couldn't provide what Jana is accustomed to. Then he goes. Lor is so pithed he starts to run after him to beat the snot out of him, but Fabian holds him back and says Bore-us isn't worth it.
Het Het, Paz and Magda's Home:
Paz and Luci have some alone time. Paz is insisting that Luci call Rod back. Luci really doesn't want to, Paz brings Luci the phone and of course Luci calls Rod.
Ice Cream Shop in the D.F.
Rod has taken Alexia to an ice cream shop, when in comes Don Chelo and Mateo. Rod greets Don Chelo and then Mateo takes his mask off and Rod greets him too. Just then Rod's cell phone rings and it's Luci, who once she hears his voice hangs up on him and he is left staring at the phone. Then he gathers his wits and introduces his (unbeknownst to him) children to each other and they shake hands and they have an instant connection. Don C is watching this exchange, very uncomfortable and then Mateo lets drop he is five years old and a ding, ding, ding, goes off in Rod's head. Bingo. I think Mateo mentions that is when Don C found him, so please elaborate. And here is where we end this epi.

The skanky girls talking at Gala's with Frigid over hearing, Julie and Gala were describing in detail Luci leaving the Hospital and going to the bench at the bus stop, falling down and losing the baby; and Frigid was clearing coming to a conclusion: how did these two know so much and how Gala has the babie's bracelet-she knows all now. What will she do with that information?

In the advances it looks like Rod is getting a clue when he hears Mateo say he is 4 years old, but there was nothing else that I saw. Mateo was not wearing the medallion where it could be viewed. Can someone tell me something? Wasn’t Luci in her home town when she gave birth? Didn’t Magda and Esperita take her to the local hospital? So isn’t her son also lost near that hospital in her home town? This is very confusing. If someone could clear this up I’d be grateful.

Did you all check out the shape of RE’s hand mirror? None other than a heart! (maybe she ripped her heart out and made a mirror out of it because surely she has no heart in that chest of hers…)
Definitely Max’s soft side, if he has any, is with his children and their happiness… too bad he did not have the ‘avocadoes’ to stop RE from ruining Rod’s life, but he seems more willing to stop it from happening again with Janah.

Luci was in the city when she went into labor at Estelita's. They called Mati who told Pato (in front of RE, rats!) then Pato called for Paz and Magda to come and sent the plane to Het Het for them but there was a huge storm there so the pilot could not take off to get there or come back until they arrived just after Luci had lost her baby. Rod and Claudio were in Asia doing a deal so they could not make it back until just after Luci recovered at the other hospital either. So Luci was basically alone, just Pato and the vecindad folks around. This is why when Estelita was sent by the cleaning lady(who was bought out by Gala) to the admin desk, the cleaning lady convinced Luci she had to escape from Gala/RE who wanted to take her baby away. I said it twice before, but I think Max gets off on being the healthier of the two in the way he enables Roselena. I know of a few real-life examples of this and nobody benefits in the long term. The enablers delude themselves by having short memories and not adding up all the incidents of wrongdoing and seeing that the whole picture is worse than the sum of its parts.

If she had done the crime intelligently she would have thrown it away long before getting home after the crime was committed. This seems to be the only physical proof of her guilt.

Gala had it in her purse all along, then when Vio spashed the bucket of soapy water on her, she came home all angry adn threw the purse down and told Brigida to take the contents out and throw the purse out... so Gala didn't even remember at the time that the baby bracelet was there, and after 5 yrs, i doubt she would give it a second thought...
but I agree, UA, Brigida needs to report what she knows to Rod/the authorities before she becomes the main suspect if the bracelet is found in her possession by any third party.
Another rollicking Madelaine recap. I can just picture you as a virtual presence alongside the characters, giving your personal reactions...and advice!...to each one. I bet you're a hoot at sporting events. I can just hear you, amiga!

Thanks Mads! Rushing today, but wanted to drop in and say what a great recap this was.
A few thoughts/observations:
-Valentina is now married to Gabe. I saw the rings on her finger. She likely does not spend much time with the brujas these days. Marcos came to his senses and dumped Fern. She's obviously unhappy about it. Hope he found someone nice. How about Vio?
-Pato did go too far, but he didn't say anything different than some of us did about Luci giving up on the search for her son by running off to Het Het. He knows that he said that out of desperation about her leaving (him) and he appologized right away. I'm actually gald to see a chink in his armor. He's not perfect. He has had the love of his life working by his side for the past five years and now she's leaving. He was desperate to do/say anything to make her stay. Next move was to go with her. Luci knows his feelings, but since he's never said anything about them out loud, she's certainly not going to. Certainly things are coming to a head, what with the hand holding and being together in Het Het. Someone is bound to do or say something that will make them have to have the conversation.

Skankarella is a pretty good name but I just keep thinking of her as the WC - the whore cheerleader. What ever happen to her taste in clothes. i guess now that she is five years older Mama J is encouraging her to show the goods. In the scene with all the girls i didn't think Val had married Gabe, those did't look like wedding rings to me and somehow i can't think he'd be the type to let her hang out in bars with her single desperate amigas.
I don't think Rod has a clue about mateo. There is absolutely no way for him to make a connection on the basis of the boy being 5. He most certainly is not the only 5 year old in the DF. And even if he saw the medal he knows nothing about it. I think he simply thought about the boy being the same age as LRod. There is really no reason for Don C to look so anxious every time someone talks to the boy. Casual strangers are not the police or the authorities. If he keeps it up he is going to tip off someone sooner or later.
Pato so crossed the line last night but in a way it was a good thing to show he isn't a saint. I guess he is getting testy with all that is going down and I loved him lighting into Rosa and essentially telling her to shove it.
Rosa has lost control over the men in her life. Pato talks back to her and takes a hike, Rod is pulling farther away from her as her latest actions remind him too much of what she did to him and even Max is throwing it back in her face that what she is doing is ruining her children's lives. I honestly wish he would get over his obsession with her and divorce her lying ass. I can't believe that he will stand by and defend her when the truth of what she did to his grandson comes out (which I'm hoping will be soon). At this point the only man and i use the term loosely is Bore-us. He is just weak enough that she can use him as a puppet as long as it suits her and he is afraid of her.
Rosa must wear some kind of perfume that make Conny get stupid in her presence. Why on earth didn't she just tell Rosa to butt out of Jana's life and why was she, to my eyes anyway, seeming to think that Jana must love Bore-us.
Gala is going to have to cross the line somehow in her treatment of either rod or Alexia before Fridgida loses it and spills. Can't wait to see the fallout when that happens.

That is why she pointedly asked Jana if she was really in love with Bore-us (Thanks to whoever came up for that name for him, it's perfect)and Pato saved Jana from answering. Decie girl- Val wasn't at the bar. She was with them at Gala's house. She made it clear that a married woman does not go to bars.
Every time someone asks Hannah if she love Boris she doesn't answer. Connie was trying to force her to answer truthfully to get her to stand up for herself but Hannah chickened out.

1) All of Rosa's evil deeds, kidnapping Lil Roddy and being in cahoots with Skankarella and the CQ and with Bore-us.
2) Max's fraud all those years ago, his control of the antro with Lastra and Ivan and all the horrid things he did to Vicky.
3) Pedro Campos coming clean about the fraud and who the mastermind was, Max of course and for Claudio to finally know what really happened.
4) Skankarella's and CQ's involvement of in the kidnapping of lil Roddy and throwing lil Roddy in the trash by Skankarella and what Frigid knew and when she knew it.
5)Mateo really being lil Roddy and how Don Chelo came to save him. I don't want the anvil to hit Don Chelo or Dona Chuy cause they have taken such good care of Mateo.

Let's see, 16 episodes/3 weeks to go. Surely they can start letting some stuff come to light.
I am hoping that if Vicky starts seeing Max again and Pedro C finds out, that he decides to throw Max under the bus to protect the honor of his friend's daughter. Surely he knows that Don Jero would NOT be cool with his daughter being Max's mistress.
The Boris-Hannah-Lorenzo drama seems to be the next thing that will blow up.
Hopefully the Max fraud reveal will come after that, and leads to the Inferno reveal. I am wondering if part of the money that went into starting up Inferno, and now the new club, came from that original fraud.
I think Mateo/Roddy and the role of Gala and Rosa in his disappearance will be the last big reveal, since it's the biggest secret so far. But they have to leave enough time to show how they'll figure out what role Chelo continues to play in Mateo's life.
I hope Rod mans up and ends his marriage with Gala before the Mateo reveal. It would be more satisfying to me if something short of the kidnapping and attempted murder of his son prompted him to end this farce of a marriage. I want him to step up already.

I missed Vals comment but I do know she wasn't at the bar just at the gossip fest later on. When a novela gets this close to the end i tend to miss the little things because i'm caught up in the emotion of the whole thing.
I am really concerned about the finding of LRod. Not to beat a dead horse but in the prior version it was weeks and weeks before the end when the little guy crossed Rod's path. He was being raised by his "tios" and was pretty much neglected. All he wanted was real parents like other kids had. Rod took a liking to him since his own son was lost (he had no other child). He would take the little guy out and buy him things, brought him to his house where Luci was working as a maid. She fell in love with the little guy and he with her. The child decided that since their son was lost he would be their son and took to calling them Mama and Papa. When the truth came out he was ready for them to be his parents.
In this case Mateo has no idea that Dob C is not his father, he has never seen Luci and there has been no reason or way for him to bond with either of his real parents. With essentially 4 weeks to go I don't see how the writers can bring about the finding and a happy ending the the little family without rushing the story - and that pithes me off. That psychiatrist who has somehow managed to survive Rosa's ranting without killing herself may have a few more patients on hand before this wraps up.

Mads--The fatigue didn't show. Your recap was brilliant, as always. Cooties--we need to start a resurgence of that word. Although I've heard my son warn my grandsons about cooties if they reach into his mother's purse (all in fun, but he's been doing it for 20 years!)

Pshaw--I didn't realize I hadn't read all the comments yet, so I found I was repeating every one else's sentiments on the Conny thing and the Max thing.
Oh, Vivi--Wasn't Val talking about Skankyho when she was referring to married women not going in bars, or was it really herself. True, in both bar scenes she was absent, but I'll need more proof before I'll say she's married to Gabe. But it makes sense that after 5 years they ought to be either married or broken up, like Fer.
Does anybody think that Gala's drinking is preparing us for a firey crash? Or a firey crash with some guy she meets in a bar? We all hoped not long ago that she would off herself in her red sports car. It would make things so much simpler for Rod, Luci and Alexia, followed sooner or later with Mateo.

So purely and simply she has to die. The body count is still very low for a novela so I'm voting for death for her.

I haven't seen any ads for the replacement either, although it seemed like they started advertising the replacement for Abismo around this time in its final weeks. I've seen a lot of folks hoping for the Colugna comedy, Porque el Amor Manda. It's a remake of the Colombian El Secretario which is currently on in the day on Telemundo. I've seen ta few episodes of the Colombian one. The Mexican version just started and replaced Eva in its time slot. It would be odd to have two comedies on at the same time-- Eva and PeAM.
