Guerito cheers Lilli up, don’t worry about Nicky, she barks a lot but will eventually give in. Angel with Hugs walks in and discovers Guerito and Lilli very close, gets irritated, but after Guerito explains that Lilli had to deal with Nicky’s reaction to her job, he hugs Lilli.
Anyballs very loud and offensive argument with little brave painter… she was afraid for his health, that is why she kept him in the dark about the kidnapping. You raised me that way! You said you were proud of me. Who are you to decide? I am a copy of you, unlike Adriana… if anyone knows how much she suffered, that is me! You raised me so I would not be like my mother, allowing you to parade your lover of the month on her face!! (Anyballs raises his hand to slap her but stops)

Anyballs says he only wanted to be happy in his own way. Vicky says YOU were happy, but not my mother! Or my sister either! I am the only one that knows how much she suffered when you shipped her to Europe against her will!! (sound familiar to Refugio bloggers? That has been my theory all along, that Adriana fell for a simple humble man and was shipped away to separate them, now I am seriously fearing for Guerito’s wellbeing) Anyballs claims her sister was a little rebel at age 15 and his duty was to straighten her ways.
Nicky runs down the stairs to stop the bad scene… she apologizes to little brave painter … but Nicky takes the moment to ask lbp to fire Lilli… not a chance. LBP invites Nicky to go with her and Nill-Son to the lakehouse… Nicky says I won’t spoil your relaxing weekend trip. Anyballs tells lbp that it shows some humanity on Nicky.
Nicky asks to be allowed to go out. LBP asks her not to go out without escort.
Nicky begs LBP and Anyballs to make amends. She leaves. LBP and Anyballs do make amends… Anyballs says don’t worry, go on your trip and don’t worry about Nicky. He keep glorifying his granddaughter, strong like her mother.
Angel with Hugs asks Lilli not to let Nicky get to her.
In runs Polita to tell them what LBP said, that Lilli stays, regardless of who is not happy with that. Angel with Hugs, Guerito and Lilli are all very happy.
Tomasina is helping LBP make her bags… LBP is having second thoughts about going on a trip at this time… Tomasina says they were lucky that Nicky was freed unharmed. LBP shrieks about the families that are not so lucky to get their little spoiled bratt back home.
At the greenhouse Lilli is really taking her job to heart, speaking nice to all the plants… Well, the intimate moment with the plants is ruined by Nicky coming in to provoke… Lilli gets a bit cocky… so Nicky starts dropping all the planters and flowers to the floor… her goal is to destroy all the plants so Lilli will be job-less. Lilli grabs her to stop her. (I bet Nicky never thought Lilly would be a tough little brave girl that COULD fend for herself in physical face-off, I would pay money to see Lilly force Nicky to talk nice to the plants like she does). Lilli grabs, Nicky whines, goes down in pain on floor asks Lilli to let her go. Lilly lets her go, Nicky gets up after gives Lilli a killer stare, bumps her on way out.
Outside, Angel with Hugs and Guerito talk, Guerito can understand, if he had a daughter, he would look after her like Angel does. Shoulder taps exchanged.
Out is coming LBP giving Tomasina a bunch of last minute instructions and requests. She asks Guerito to look after her daughter. On their way go Angel with Hugs and Little Brave Painter for the trip…
Anyballs tells Tomasina not to let Nicky go out and he will be back later to pick her up to take her to the police (I guess he wants Nicky to open a police investigation on the kidnappers).
From the SUV, Little brave painter calls Nill-Son … he is running late at the office. She will wait for him for comida (late lunch in Mex) .. LBP asks Angel if he has been out at Valle Bravo (seems there are very nice lakes there). LBP says she fears the water, so the lake is an issue for her. Any body of water gives her fears. Nill-son likes to water ski so he decided to buy that property.
(I bet her fear of water will come up again later…esp when Nill-son loves water sports)
At the house, Nicky is slurping on some spagueti, shake/ice cream and cake.
Remembers her wrestling scene with Lilli. And keeps on stuffing herself the spaghetti. She calls Lilli ‘perra de barrio’ (slump mutt bi__h)
Back to the lake, they have arrived, she walks out to the narrow pier, Arriaga runs to meet her, even the vibrating dock makes her freak out… he helps her walk down the pier… she grabs on to him for dear life… almost makes him fall along with her in the water. He wants her to concentrate in enjoying the view.
Don’t you enjoy this? This is my thing… pure nature. He keeps trying to help her, gets her to grab his hands to get on the boat. You can tell her stomach is twisting and rolling. Next we see him driving the boat, she is grabbing on to the beams for dear life… she keeps telling him about her fears of water. When she was a kid she almost drowned. He insists she has to overcome it. That is what life is all about. He fears anything that is unknown. But one thing he knows very well is to grill meat. She says it sounds great. He repeats the fields and nature are his thing. He says when he met her he thought they had nothing in common. But thinking about it again, deep, very deep, we are not so different.
He insists that she stand up on the moving boat, to hold on but give it a try. There. (she is now standing behind him, he is whooohooo!! ‘ing… Enjoy!!)
Guerito goes to check on Nicky, hears she is spitting her dinner in bathroom. He asks if she is alright from outside, then walks in. She is in toilet. He tries to grab her and pull her away. She yells at him to get out!! He tells her she needs help. He says she might have bulimia. She has all the symptoms. She denies, denies… Yo no tengo nada!! … Nicky, you are sick and you know it! … Don’t butt in my life, buy yourself a life and charge it to my card, and leave me alone!!
He could care less what she says, they are leaving. She yells she hates him. He tells her he won’t allow her to kill herself, he won’t allow it. She keeps repeating she hates him… and then drops down unconscicous… Guerito embraces her, calls her ‘mi amor’ several times, very concerned at her health.
Nill-son in office with Salsero… everything is honky dory with Little brave painter. LBP and I owe ourselves this getaway. Realized have to break off the affair with KenHo. Salsero says it is a wise decision.
Nill-Son gets a call, seems KenHo did not show up to re-record the blue aqua commercial.
KenHo is at her place too busy with Odette (the competition of LBP’s agency). Odette and KenHo plotted this ‘no-show’ of hers… since KenHo is the ‘image’ of Balbanera business. Of course Odette brought the money she offered. … well, she could not really take the French account from LBP. KenHo claims she did her part of the plan. It was not her fault that Angel and LBP got out of the elevator in time. THEN KenHo takes the check. Odette wants them to keep teaming up on other jobs. KenHo (a.k.a. -0-0-69) wants to know what is next. Odette wants Nill-Son to divorce LBP. She wants to destroy that marriage. KenHo thinks ‘if you only knew that is my goal too’… KenHo takes the new assignment.
Back to the motorboat in the lake… they have made it to shore. He has to walk her down the pier. She complains that the pier is moving a lot. He reminds her they had agreed to try to work on facing her fears…. They end up running down the pier… he is enjoying himself, she is still shaking. No, you REALLY fear water! … she is embarrassed he keeps discovering weak points in her, he says don’t worry, it helps me care for you. He looks at the ‘cabin’… he says it is very peaceful, ideal for like a honeymoon… this is what he likes, the field.
He misses his house in the country so much, but will soon return home.
Back at Balb house, Guerito has Nicky in bed, he brought her something to wake her up. He insists she is bulimic. She asks him to get in his bubble and not bug her. He gets on his cel, she is very upset that he will call LBP. He says not calling your mother, calling a doctor to check you out. She comes to him, cries begging him not to call anyone. If you like me just a little, don’t. Alright, but on one condition. Anything… That as soon as possible you will go into treatment. IF not, I will get someone right now to come see you. Alright.
Knock on door. It is Tomasina… She asks Guerito not to tell anyone about this. He says I always do as I promise, and I hope you will do same. … When Tomasina comes in and Guerito goes out, at her questioning, Nicky just runs in bathroom.
Cristina congratulates Lilli on getting a job… well, until she hears it is with LBP. Cristina is frozen, falls back on bed, ‘I wasn’t expecting that’. Lilli thinks it is great, a job near her dad so she can see him everyday. Lilli says LBP was very happy with her job. LBP even gave her a cell phone as a gift. Of course Cris takes it the wrong way and thinks LBP is trying to get Lilli on her side. Lilli asks her mother to get those ideas out of her head, I will be in that house all the time. Cristina says yeap you will see your dad daily, and also Guerito. Just be careful, your dad is not ready for the idea of watching you with boyfriend. Of course when Lilli leaves the room, Cristina lets out her irritation at the idea.
Tomasina waited for Nicky to get out of the bathroom. Tomasina insists on asking what is going on with Guerito. Reminds Nicky that he took a bullet for her. ‘SO you are also a vip member of the Gorillita fan club!’ Tomasina tells Nicky that AnyBalls wants her to go with him to the police station.
Back at the lake, Angel is looking for wood for fire, but can’t find any. At the no wood option, he asks for a hatchet to cut his own wood. But before leaving he asks her ‘will you miss me?’ He says’ don’t worry, I won’t be long.’ As he leaves her alone, she writes about his asking ‘will you miss me?’ and what he could have possibly meant by that question… But she can’t finish typing the thought in her book, the phone rings and it is Cristina calling to thank her for the gift for Lilli. Apparently the call got cut off… and idiot LBP is walking out at the pool area… (wasn’t she fearful of water?) … she is telling Cristina on phone that she is all alone, husband and daughter did not come, the one that came with me was Arriaga, your husband… deer in headlights look on Cristina).
IT doesn’t help that LBP tells Cristina that Angel went to get wood for the fire. After they hang up, Cristina works her mind with ‘they are all alone’.
Angel is walking up the hill, questioning that LBP could fear water…. At that moment a storm seems to be coming toward them. At the house, it is raining and thundering hard, LBP starts getting very concerned… Angel is cutting the wood in under a huge rainfall… (question, would wet wood be any good for fires?? LOL!)… He takes his belt off to carry the wood back to the house.
AnyBalls comes to the house to pick up Nicky. She is having doubts about going to the police station. He wants her to give him her version of the events on their way there. He also wants to call KenHo so she will also testify. Nicky says yes we have to get those thugs in jail so they won’t harm anyone else.
At the house, Lilli is with Polita and again she gets the sharp pain in her stomach which she says usually means something bad is happening to her dad… Polita gets fearful also about it… and of course, Angel slips and falls and rolls down the hill right into the raging river which is pretty choppy due to the heavy rain… Seems Angel is caught in a rock, and a thunder lights up a tree and the tree is about to fall right on him, he panicks and lifts his arm to protect his head, grunts loudly.
Previews: LBP is looking for Arriaga, calls out his name.
Nill-Son is worried no one answers the phone.

It was nice to interrupt my workday in progress to read your juicy recap Marta. It was great (as always) and chock full of details: "That has been my theory all along, that Adriana fell for a simple humble man and was shipped away to separate them" and insight" "now I am seriously fearing for Guerito’s wellbeing". Vikki might have been better off with the omission that hubby wasn't with her and Angel. While it's usually best to be upfront, I cringed when she told Cristina on phone that "she is all alone, husband and daughter did not come, the one that came with me was Arriaga, your husband". Yikes. A sucker punch to the gut might have been less painful. Imagine Chrissy had seen what we did: Jose and Vikki's boat ride through the water to the idyllic house and their obvious (although mostly subconscious) happiness at being together.
I think EY had "sympathy pains" when Libya (Sherlyn) was killed in FELS where they played sibs. A TN staple for certain.
So, Salserno is now happy Nelson says he is breaking it off with Kendra? Was the plan initially to have them hook up only for ammunition/blackmail purposes? Whatever DWS thinks, it looks like Kendra has her own plans...
Enjoyed that Guzman is being so protective and caring about Nikki. The scene of her scarfing the spaghetti was so pathetic...
I like the contrast of Vikki being so strong one minute (handing Anibal his head during their verbal sparring), yet almost unbelievably timid the next (fearing she would sink or fall off the dock...Looks like our Angel is in trouble and it is up to her to save him. Of course, being submerged in water, wedged among rocks with a burning tree about to fall on him seems like a lot to handle. Especially as she is terrified of water.
Jose says the most inappropriate things (will you miss me), but in such a sweet manner. How could anyone object?

Yes, your theory about Adriana makes sense. But the man/boy could have also been from the upper class-- a 15 year old pregnant daughter is still something to be ashamed of and something Anibal would have wanted to hide, even if the guy was from their same class. From the things she said, it's possible that Vicky didn't even know her little sister was pregnant when Anibal shipped her off.
I think Vicky is going to have to get over her fear of water REALLY quickly in order to help JA. Hope she's not afraid of fire too. Could the writers have put him in a worse situation? LOL!
I can see the point about it being too honest of Vicky to tell Cris her husband was delayed, Nicki wasn't coming, and that it was only her and JA at the moment. But, just imagine had she NOT said that and Cris found out later. Then she would have really thought they were trying to hide something. I'm glad Vicky was up front with her.

And so forth and so on. Christina would have probably gotten paranoid anyway, though.
My first thought when I heard that Adriana got pregnant at age 15 is that she looks to be in her 30s now, (maybe 35?) and so her daughter could be 20? Who do we see that could be a candidate? Or is the "long lost daughter" still waiting to appear? And please let's not have it be Kendra. She's looking older than 20 to me. Even if Adriana is 40 (she could be I guess?) that makes her daughter 25. Kendra looks older than that. But then again I don't write telenovelas, and they cast Big Ed as the older brother of Sherilyn in Fuego en La Sangre so they expect audiences to have iron-clad beanies. So whatever. (The other candidate could be Nikki. She does look between 20-25.)
I've mentioned before that in the ending credits (that are covered up by avances here on Univision), they have Lizardo-whatever-his-name is, the Guapo white-haired 40-something guy from Cuando Me Enamoro. So he's going to be joining the cast at some point, and I'm wondering whose galán he'll be. (If he is a galán.) Could he be the father of Adriana's baby? No spoilers, just me still curious about what part he's going to play and hoping he's a good guy this time.

I should correct myself--I'm assuming that Adriana got pregnant at age 15. Was that said? In any case, I'm strongly suspecting that she got pregnant at age 15, which will leave things wide open for who her daughter could be. Probably a young adult, if I'm estimating Adriana's age right. Even if she's younger than 35, odds are she's old enough to have a teenaged daughter. Which could make things interesting.
Elvira- I think it's pretty safe to assume that Anibal sent Adriana away at 15, precisely because she got pregnant and was defying him about the man/boy she loved, and probably other things. Adriana does look mid-30s, so her daughter could be around the same age as Nicki and Lili. But I agree, that Kendra looks too old to be a candidate. It could also be a young woman we haven't met yet.
At least we can take Lili off the table as Adriana's potential daughter. Her "sympathy pains" connection with JA means she's definitely his bio daughter.

I understand Viki being afraid of being on a lake, but not a pool. You can see the bottom of a pool (water is very clear) and know how deep it is. A lake or river is a different matter. Lakes can have snakes, seaweed, and other things (Loch Ness Monster!) that can grab us. ;-) I have swam (swum?) in all three and always prefer a pool.
Nikki is back to b!itchiness-as-usual. She probably would be a LOT nicer, and easier to get along with, if she ate like a normal person. Nikki most likely suffers the crankiness of low blood sugar from lack of food.

Yesterday(?) the theory was posed that JA and Vikki may never cross that line, but that by the end, each will have stayed with their own spouse. This makes a lot of sense to me. It may be the point of the whole telenovela; people can daydream about someone else but never do anything and still love their spouse. I never saw Amor en Custodia (and NO SPOILERS PLEASE) so I have no clue how that ended.

Oh, Erika Buenfil is on twitter and she seems to be a huge fangirl. Yesterday she posted this: "A +V. @AmoresVerdadTv True l❤ve", and I just realized that the initials of José Ángel and Victoria rhymes with Amores Verdaderos. Yes, I think I had to much free time today. :)
To be honest, I would be very disappointed if they both stayed with their own spouses. Yeah, yeah, yeah, till death do us part, sanctity of marriage vows above all, and it would be a great moral message, not to mention that Mónica Sánchez is a gorgeous woman, but call me shallow, I watch this show for Vic and Arriaga (and for Blondie and Oookay, and Saésero, and Tomasina, and Polita and Jean Marie, and so on). I want them to become a couple eventually - but in the meantime I'm afraid for them because they are on a slippery and morally tricky slope. They are so likeable and warm so far, I don't want them to become insensitive jerks.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, till death do us part, sanctity of marriage vows above all, and it would be a great moral message, not to mention that Mónica Sánchez is a gorgeous woman, but call me shallow, I watch this show for Vic and Arriaga (and for Blondie and Oookay, and Saésero, and Tomasina, and Polita and Jean Marie, and so on). I want them to become a couple eventually - but in the meantime I'm afraid for them because they are on a slippery and morally tricky slope. They are so likeable and warm so far, I don't want them to become insensitive jerks.

Thanks for the recap. Speaking of ''slippery slopes''...Yikes...Big Angel just slid down one. Miss Vikki to the rescue???? How could she possible get the Big Guy up that same slippery slope???? Maybe they will float down the river together.

Yes, yes I watch the show primarily for Vicki and Angel, but I want to see Nikki get into some good therapy and get the bulimia issue healed. Even Anibal the other night was commenting that his little nieta is "all bones."
I want to see Vicki overcome her terror and climb down that muddy hill and save Arriaga. That could totally cure her water phobia.

It would actually be the best of all possibilities if Nicki turns out to be Adriana's child, and Anibal switched Vicky's dead baby with Adriana's. At least it would mean that the child got to grow up with her family and that she and Adri got to have a loving relationship-- although one of aunt and niece.
As for Miss Vikki and Big Angel getting together, maybe Vikki will divorce Nel-SONE when she discovers his weaselocity and that he's been fooling around with Ken-do and Chrissy will die in an unfortunate accident involving her apron.

I think that Vikki and Jose Angel are both guileless - quite naive. Of course Vikki is going to tell Cristina - why (in her view) would she not? Vikki and Arriaga are open books. "Will you miss me?" is his idea of being funny and trying to lighten up Vikki.
Salsero must have got most of the money from the kidnappers so he is set. But Kenho is not going to give up.
There are layers upon layers in this TN and I really like all the actors!

Yep, based on everyone else's comments, I think a lot of us are assuming that Adriana is about 35, and that she was pregnant at 15, which makes her daughter about Nikki's age . . . and we can connect the dots from there. We'll see if that pans out.

The credits pretty much assure that Angel/Vickie will wind up together. I'm just hoping that when that time comes that I'll still like them because right now I'm rooting for Cristina.

There was an old British TV writer named Terry Nation, best known for creating the Daleks on DOCTOR WHO; anyway, one of his writing tricks was to put the heroes in a bad situation, then make it worse. Like if the heroes are climbing a rope to escape some monster, halfway up the climb, the rope would start to break.

I have not seen the previous versions, but just judging from the credits, the writers might be WANTING us to think Angel and Vicky will be a couple eventually, but i think two adults of different genres COULD IN FACT have a very intimate relationship of friendship, support, identification (they are living similar situations in their marriages, except opposite extremes, one is ignored, the other one stalked)... so i would be perfectly happy if Angel and Vicky become more intimate WITHOUT ever sleeping together.
