Thanks CherylNM~! I am going to try to watch this one. Having two telenovelas on my plate, along with the other U.S. shows I watch, is a lot. But it looks like fun and it has TBLMOE. :-D

First saw Colunga in Pasion. Loved it and him. He was made for telenovas set in that timeframe. Saw bits and pieces of Amor Real (reruns) that confirmed it. I thought he was miscast in MEPS but fared better in STuD. I know his many devoted fans are eagerly awaiting his return.

Diana, OMG, this would have been the last thing I thought of..

I checked this novella out, Mex. humour definitely not my cup of tea, neither is Colunga, I prefer Erick Elías over him any day. However it has fabulous ratings in Mex. They already sowing it in Hun (since 04.03) buty I think I'll pass on the watching.

I saw quite a few Colunga novelas already, he's not that bad, I think i'll just read the posts for snarks here.. :)

Some people on this blog *REALLY* find FC attractive.

I like him fine, but I really like Erick Elias, Jorge Aravena, and Ricardo Margaleff, so I'll be watching more for them. Plus Maria Elena Camargo is a HOOT. I think this will be a very fun show.

I had sworn off Univisión novelas and have only been watching Telemundo ones. But TBLMOE may draw me back in.

Colunga typing up Word and Excel for a female boss? Heresy. He should have long hair and be on the bow of a pirate ship.

Cheryl, it's so good to find a posting by you. Your time in Oaxaca and Chiapas must have been wonderful. I also love to travel in Mexico.
 

Julia, you are right about Maria Elena Camargo, I love her act, watched her in LLDA which I actually liked, she was one of the best characters..

I'm admittedly not a Colunga fan and do not find him handsome, especially after the botox cures, I think he looked best in the La usurpadora with the beard, (I loved that novela) you guys can throw the stones now..
 

I found Colunga more handsome before the...excessive processing.

I loved LldA, too. Kristel was the best antagonista ever. I've been told the actress is even more enjoyable in this one.

I like that the main female character is successful and in charge. I get a little irritated by novelas where the galán is older, wealthy, and powerful, with lots of worldly experience, and the heroine is a naive poor girl still in high school or whatever. That power imbalance just grates, and I wonder why the dude is creeping on sweet young things.
 

Haven't watched a novella since STuD, can't wait to get back to the viewing and reading the recaps here! My copy of Alborada is well loved but I am sure it will appreciate a break.
 

What fun to commune with Carayers again. I have sent a message to Melinama to get instructions for linking, I don't know what I did wrong but will try to get it resolved before Monday for the first capitulo.
 

Cheryl- I'm so excited to see you back and to know you will be recapping. Who else is on your recapping team for this? I have heard many of your fellow FC fans buzzing about watching and recapping this.

Just saw a bit of STuD while home today for the snow day. FC looked very hot on horseback following Lucero around town and then convincing her to share his horse with him. Hubba hubba!

I've now seen him in STuD, MEPS, the recent re-run of La Ursupadora, the recent re-run of Alborada,and I saw Esmeralda many years ago. So he's officially the galan I have seen in the most tns.

I have no memory of him from Esmeralda. None. Zip. I only remember how pretty Leticia Calderon was and that she always wore green (granted, I only ever saw the show every now and then). I hated his galan in La Ursupadora, but he was very handsome there. I liked him the most in Alborada and thought he was quite hot there. I like the facial hair on him. I thought his body was slammin' in MEPS, but he was too old for the part. And I did think he was very hot and manly in STuD.

I wish he would do facial hair again, but I'm guessing they think it ages him. The thing is, he SHOULD be playing older men-- devlishly handsome older men. By having him play younger men, it just makes me focus more on the wrinkles (and botox). I'm looking forward to him trying his hand at comedy. It's a nice change for him.
 

Hola Vivi, Thanks for the welcome back and sharing your TMBMOE memories. I like Fernando Colunga anyway they throw him at us, just sayin'... But I agree that it is time for him to be the uber-hot mature man and not the wrinkly faketeen. Did you ever see his father? I once saw on a talk show with both of them and daddydearest is a devastatingly handsome older man that Fernando should emulate to put his assets at their best advantage...

Don't know if I'll be watching. I'm not a Colunga dan but i do like Erik Elias. Am riveted by La Patrona and the hunky J L Pila.

I am ready for action. I will miss Jaime Camil but then Fernando has had my heart the longest. Alborada was my first TN too.

I am taking Monday episodes, I hope we will have the slate full by the weekend.

Welcome back Cheryl to the recapping/snarkfest. I'm currently watching and occasionally recapping the original series "El Secretario". PQEAM is the mexican dramady version. Because I've sworn off FC-novelas for the rest of my life, I won't be watching this one but occasionally I'll stop by and check out everyone's comments.
 

Telemundo is airing the Colombian version EL SECRETARIO, and even when I don't like remakes, I will be watching this, because someone told it was shot in Monterrey, Mexico and I would like to see if they include in the cast some of the local talent.
I am glad EVA ends tonight, the last episodes had been very messy (editing and continuity wise)proving that they want to end it no matter what.
I think Camil couldn't pull it up.
He has no ''angel''...
 

I once caught a very quick glimpse of FC's papá on Cristina, easy to see where he got his looks. Papá era muy guapo. FC gave him a kiss.
