Caray, Caray!

You’ll have to excuse me today, I am nursing the biggest hangover from the ‘Basura’ game yesterday. I stopped counting after 20. I’m not sure if I’m sober yet, and I have a pounding headache. Also, no cc’s this time, my recorder didn’t record. Stoopid recorder. So help me out in the comments for what I missed or got wrong. I’ll try to correct it later.

Lucia is showing MC a pile of jewelry. MC is rightfully suspicious, but Lucy promises not to snatch away that football from Charlie Brown. This time she means it. She feels bad that Octavio left her, and she wants to help. Really. She will send the jewelry to the kitchen where MC can get it. Lucia continues to talk to Ester about the plans to get rid of MC once and for all, get her to trust her before she pulls that football away for the final time, and oh no, here we go again. Another basura. Salud! I’m going to need some serious intervention when this TN is over. So Charlie Brown goes into the kitchen once again naívely believing Lucy will hold the ball until Charlie’s foot makes contact. MC gets the bags and starts to look through them. Santa is watching and worries enough for the two of them. Santa doesn’t trust Lucy. She’s seen Lucy snatch that ball away every single time Charlie tries to kick it. But Charlie is certain this time will be different. (I hope everyone gets the Charlie Brown/Lucy analogy, because this makes perfect sense to me in my major hangover head.)



The bleached blond twins are checking each other out in their fancy dresses for the big opening. Looking good for attracting a millionaire, Carola says. Raisa has her sights set on a certain raspy voiced millionaire tonight. Carola asks Raisa how their new recruit is coming along. Raisa says she’s all dressed up and ready to sell cigarettes. Once she’s comfortable selling cigs, she can move on to selling a more expensive item, wink wink, nudge nudge.

Eduardo and Octavio arrive to the hotel room. Eduardo is feeling rammy and wants to hit the bars to pick up some women ASAP. He’s giving pretty boy 2 hours to get ready. It only takes me about 15 minutes, but I don’t have as nice hair as he does. Jazzy ‘pick up chicks’ music is playing in the background. Octavio agrees that he wants to go back to the carefree lady’s man days of yesterday. He splashes on some Old Spice and he’s just about ready. He looks for his comb.

MC is on her way back to the shack at night when Mr. Policeman is waiting for her to pass by. He stops her and asks where she’s been. Instead of saying what I would have said to him, ahem, she tells him where and why she was there. He then searches through her bags. He zeros in on the jewelry and asks where they came from. She tells him and he calls her a liar. He knows she stole them.

Raisa stops Alejandro at the casino and bats her over mascaraed eyes at him, which must be hard to do since they have to weigh about a pound each, and tells him he seems different. Why doesn’t he notice her womanliness? Do men put a pound of mascara on their eyes to attract a rich wealthy woman like she does to get him? Do men wear a tent dress that looks 5 sizes too big to attract a near death casino owner like she does? Do men suffer through the bleaching process that results in an extremely itchy scalp just to marry a wealthy man with no heirs like she does? Come on! He tells her she’s very attractive. But do you ‘like’ me, like me? There’s a TV on in the background that is showing Mahmoud Ahmedinajad, the president of Iran. Very distracting.  Alejandro hems and haws, hoping to just disappear into thin air. He looks around for anything to take him away and he lucks out by Araceli coming over. SAVED! Raisa makes her exit. What is that thing on her neck? A tracking device? It doesn’t look like a necklace, but what else could it be? It’s a large white disk hugging her neck like a shock collar. It’s very distracting and with my head pounding too, I have no idea what they are saying.

Back at the illegal search, MC tries to defend herself saying they were a gift. If he doesn’t believe her, talk to Lucy, I mean Lucia. He calls Lucia to see what’s up. Lucia confirms that she gave it all to her and that MC is a treasure. Que? Lucy didn’t take the ball away yet. Mr. Policeman informs MC that she’s off this time, but he will be watching her in the future. Lucia continues to plot MC’s demise. Her web is almost complete.

Araceli and Alejandro are still talking. I’m trying to ignore the white disk. I hear something about Teopaldo? being so nice and how he treats her so well, that he’s like a brother to her, and how she doesn’t know who her father is since he abandoned them when she was born. Alejandro’s ears perk up and he’s doing some quick math in his head. Then he quickly goes back to the Teopaldo subject. Do you really think of him as a brother? he asks. Of course. Poor Teopaldo, nice guys finish last I guess.

Eduardo comes back. He tells Octavio that he got him another job. But unfortunately its a copilot job. Cara de impactada de Octavio.

MC is trying on her new used dresses and the monkey won’t leave her alone. If it weren’t for this pounding head, I could give you more detail, but that darn monkey won’t leave her alone long enough for me to pay attention. The gist of what’s happening is that Solita keeps trying to pull the monkey from her but the monkey has other ideas. MC is talking to gramps, I’m sure it’s about where all the stuff came from, blah blah blah. Now the monkey is bothering grampa and MC thinks the clothes and jewelry are Octavio’s way of taking care of her.

Octavio arrives for his first day on the copilot job, walking without a limp. He must heal quickly because they didn’t flash a dias despues or anything. He introduces himself to a very attractive flight attendant. They shake hands and they give us a closeup of the handshake. You know what that means. Yes it does. They flirt and smile and stare at each other. She asks if he’s single and he actually tells her no. But they gave us that handshake closeup! Then Octavio grabs his leg because it still hurts and she offers to help him to his seat in the cockpit. He turns her help down, she leaves, and he thanks Old Spice for working like a charm. Women can’t resist it. He turns around and the pilot is there to greet him. Not sure if it will come into play, but he’s very old. Heart attack in the air maybe? Copilot saves the day? Just guessing, but this TN has followed all the TN cliches, what’s one more?

MC shows up at the ranch kitchen chatting with Maria and Santa. Maria asks how she’s feeling and she says hungry one minute, sick the next. Her clothes are getting tight.  She has no idea what that could mean. But Maria and Santa do.
Awfulia comes in to tell MC that Lucia has more gifts for her.

MC walks into the lions den and thanks her for the clothes. Octavio will be very pleased with how nice she is looking now.  Charlie Brown’s naivety knows no bounds. Lucy has taken the ball back every time she runs to punt, the only difference this time is she’s letting Charlie get a little closer to the ball before it gets snatched away. Lucia tells MC that even though it pains her greatly, she must tell MC her the truth, even though it gives her rage when she thinks of it. But Octavio told her himself, so she knows it’s true. Octavio is never coming back. And it torques Lucia’s shorts that he could be so cold and callous to MC. But MC continues to trust Octavio’s goodness and that he will come back. Maria comes by the door and overhears. She can’t stand it anymore and comes in interrupting the lying liar and her lies. I couldn’t understand what Maria then says, but she points to MC’s tummy and we get a closeup of it, so I’m guessing that she tells Lucia that her tummy has been upset on and off. Because then Lucia gives MC some more clothes, MC departs, and Lucia asks Maria if it’s true that MC is pregnant. And does Octavio know about it? And doesn’t MC know? Maria tells her that since it’s her first child, she has no clue what the symptoms are.

No Name Pilot and Octavio are getting to know each other once they are up in the air.  No Name Pilot asks him if he has much experience and O says some. No Name Pilot tells him he’ll learn a lot with him. He asks if he ever had an accident and O says yes. Aha! We viewers suspected this. But then says a car accident. Oh.

It’s raining like it was at the ranch, and the PI that Alejandro hired is out asking questions to find out about his daughter. But the woman he’s asking knows nothing. I suppose the rain means he’s close to where MC is.

Back on the boat, the sisters are talking in Carola’s office. Raisa is happy that Al went back to Mexico City mentions that she asked Alejandro to marry her but he turned her down. All Al is interested in right now is finding his daughter. But Raisa is not giving up. She’s going to marry him even if she has to find out what herb Isadora got at the farmers market that she gave Cayetano to make him putty in her hands.

Lucia storms into the living room where Ester is reading a book. Finally someone does something when they’re alone instead of just sitting there staring off into space. She grabs her to go look for Miguel. She finds him and tells him that the basura is pregnant. Salud! I’m now hoping the hair of the dog that bit me will cure my hangover. I just need a couple more basuras before we’re done here today and it might just work. Come on Lucia. Get your rage on. Miguel hopes she doesn’t commit an locura. That almost sounds like basura. Good enough. Salud!

Maria gives MC some food to take with her and they have a tender moment. Maria wants her to go the health center but MC says she’s not sick and doesn’t need to go. Maria tells her it’s not for being sick, it’s for being pregnant. MC is impactada. After the shock wears off, MC is happy and thinks Octavio will be too. Poor girl.

Maria runs into a drunk EWsebio holding his almost empty bottle. Oh what the heck, I think I’ll join him. I’ll be right back. She tells him to be careful or he’ll lose his job, but he knows they can’t do without him so he’s not worried. He prattles on about his hatred of all things MC blah blah blah. I hope I don’t sound like him when I’ve had a few too many.

Alejandro comes home and Tobias greets him.  His breathy speech is really annoying. He didn’t talk this breathy in Amor Bravio. Is it too painful for him to use his vocal chords? He asks Tobias if he’s heard from the PI yet. No. Tobias thought he would be announcing his matrimony by now, but Al said he turned her down. Then he makes some more raspy talking I think about his love of MC’s mom and wants to find MC blah blah blah.

MC at the shack thinking about her convo with Maria. She tells Gramps that she promised Maria to not go back to the ranch anymore. Good advice, Maria.

Maria is in the dining room shining the silver when Awfulia comes in. I didn’t catch anything Awfulia said.

Lucia tells Ester that it’s now time for Plan: Eliminate Pregnant Maricruz. They go into Lucia’s bedroom and get out the good jewelry.

MC and Solita are walking along the road and a pickup truck approaches and stops. I was assuming it was Ewsabio, but since I’ve had a couple more drinks, he’s now wearing a blue, halter top, floor length, form fitting gown, and I must say, he looks ravishing in it. Who would have thought he had such a nice figure and could pull it off? And he’s speaking in a high voice. Oh wait, that’s Lucia, isn’t it? Ok, I think I’ve had enough of the hair now. Please don’t call MC basura anymore Lucia, please. She walks over to them and greets Solita with a big hug. She asks MC why she hasn’t been to the ranch lately and MC tells her she’s waiting for her own house to be built and share with Osvaldo. She reminds her that Osvaldo said he wasn’t coming back but MC insists he is and doesn’t want to bother Lucia anymore. Sweet Lucia just wants to help her and provide for her, so she invites MC to live at the ranch in her old room. MC then tells her that she’s pregnant and Lucia acts like it’s the first she’s heard it and congratulates her.
She’s so happy for her!

On land, outside the boat, Araceli gives Teopaldo some money, I assume it’s to pay back what he bought her. She places the money in his hand but they don’t show a close up of the hands together. That means no romance will happen between them. But Araceli touches him a lot. You might think of him as a brother, but I don’t think he thinks of you as a sister. You know he’s going to get the wrong impression don’t you, girl? He takes advantage of the moment and holds with both hands. Oh no! Now she kisses him on the cheek. He will now repeat this scene in his head over and over until he convinces himself that you feel the same as he does.

Eduardo and Octavio are wining and dining in their uniforms with 2 flight attendants. They want to continue the evening on the dance floor, but Octavio wants to call it a night. His bum leg wouldn’t hold up. They tell him he could watch, but he declines. Pretty flight attendant tells him his love of his life is waiting at home for him and he doesn’t want to be tempted. I think.

Back to MC and Luciafer. haha. This is where I will really miss not having my ccs. So this may be all wrong.
She asks if MC will name the baby after her MIL, and MC agrees to. Then she tells MC  that their MIL wanted Octavio to have it but Miguel gave it to her instead. She then takes it off, asking if MC wants it because she doesn't want it after how Octavio has been behaving. MC says yes, and as she goes to take it, Luciafer tells her that if she wants it, she has to go get it, and throws it through the opuntia cactus patch and into a puddle. Why!?! MC is rightfully shocked, and goes after it, stepping gingerly through the cactus barefooted of course. Luciafer urges her on, saying the price she has to pay for getting the necklace is she has to pick it up with her teeth. She makes it to the puddle and slowly leans down. The end.
