Corazon Indomable #19 6-6-13 “Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend . . . Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within . . . Smiling faces, smiling faces sometimes . . . They don’t tell the truth”
- Octavio, asleep, is dreaming of MC, riding the horse as he follows her. They meet in a field and embrace, then she disappears and he wakes up, calling her name. “MariCruz, my wild heart!” (Viewerville reacts with mixed tears and snorts of laughter. Those with drinks in hand choose “salud!”) Why does she chase him in dreams, with her eyes, her sweet eyes, fixed in his brain?
- Octavio is fastening his uniform jacket and having a flashback of orchard love with MC. Why these memories? He wonders if she needs him, but he didn’t leave her unprotected. (Ha. Ha.) Why is he central to her life? (Don’t have time to discuss that here.)
- Octavio and Eduardo are discussing Ed’s flight assignment in an airport coffee shop. Ed’s pleased to fly to Isla Dorada, since he enjoys casinos. He wonders if Tav is still hung up on his savage. Tav doesn’t know why she adores him and put him on a pedestal. (Of course, that’s only the beginning of things Tav doesn’t know. We could write a book.)
- An airplane moves across the sky. Octavio gazes out, thinking he needs to get a girlfriend and forget MC before his life becomes a hell. Later, in the airport concourse, Tav stops at a gift shop window. He muses on the pretty things there, they ones that MC should have if she were a different woman.
- Octavio is writing a letter to Miguel, saying he’s sending money to buy the materials for the little house for MC.

It looks as if it was a miserable episode.
Somehow I just knew it'll turn out like this, Lucia framing MC for stealing that particular necklace.
Poor MC, she does not deserve this treatment. Luciafer is the worst. Miguel is right behind her. At least Santa spoke up against them.
So true about Ewwsebio - Takes a devil to know one, as he declares firmly for Team Lucia.
So, Grapms and Solita will die tomorrow? Hopefully this is the final formation of the story for MC to get out of jail, find papi and swear vengeance for all the bad the Narvaos did to her and hers.
Lucia was beyond disgusting, Miguel has now convinced me he must have been dropped on his head as a child, and this supposed gullibility of MC is just over the top. And don't get me started on the weird way Tav's is handling this whole situation.
I may skip tonight since I'm not feeling too warm and fuzzy on the outcome of EWWWW's torching. I'm still holding for the fast forward and it better come SOON!
Daisy
If this story doesn't fast forward within two episodes to Maricruz' Pygmalion experience I'm outta here. I can't believe a word of what is happening. How can anyone even believe that Maricruz would steal the pearl necklace when there is no way she can even understand its value?
Where will Santa and Maria, ha, like Christopher Columbus's ship, get a job?
So why don't the Mejias arrive to the 21st century and use cellphones and computers? Octavio is writing Miguel a letter?!? He would be sending him an email today. They seem to have large airplanes and casinos on boats.
Fire at the hut tonight? Now I'm sweating bullets. I prefer humor for my recapping... I've never had to deal with roasted grampas before... and it doesn't help that I've said some unkind things about the old guy.
Carlos
echoes.
I hope that !/2 brain cell Octavio does not end up in the arms of several different women while he is trying to forget his wild but beautiful goddess. That would bother me, so I hope that he doesn't go that route.
Did anyone notice the evil smirk of a smile on awful-felia's face as the police inspector was about to take Maricruz away. Why would Awful-felia have a dislike for MC I ask myself. Maricruz never hurt her.
CathyX---Computers, iPads and cellphones? I ask the same thing. I don't know why but in several novelas, these items seem to be missing or in very short supply.
CathyX---I have also noticed and am
besides myself to find an answer but in all of the beautiful million or multi million dollar mansions, haciendas or ranchos, I have yet to see an electric dishwasher. I have seen every other
modern apliance but washing the dishes is always done by hand. Like
the lack of computers, it just doesn't make sense to me and so I just tell myself, it's a novela.
Oh no!!! Maricruz the country goddess is now in jail. Evil Eyes
Lucifer was very happy last night.
Her plan worked, but little does she know that there is a novela anvil hovering over her head. It might be a while before it drops but when it does, all of her evil and hatred of the lower class will be no more.
The shack is burned---Can Gramps get out and what of Mari's birth certificate?

Favorite line:
(Of course that's only the beginning of things Tav doesn't know. We could write a book.)
Sounds like our galan is entranced by his wild, devoted lover, but is too half-witted to realize he is leaving her and her family to savage, vengeful dogs.
Have fun tonight Carlos. Better you than me!
Foreshadowing of future redemption for Ester, or was she just bored with the whole thing and ready to go shopping for more shorts?
Kelly
!Dios mio! Why didn't MC pick up the muddy necklace & fling in Luciafer's face?
Cliche #27 tonight, burning down the shack.
Where are the fierce dogs, they couldn't possibly like Lucia.
If the cabin is burned with Gramps and Solita inside, could Alejandro's detective come to believe Solita was MC and tell him his daughter died?
Things are looking very dark for MC. I'm glad to read that Santa and Maria stood up for MC and spoke up, even if it did no good.
I wonder, why Mari took off the wedding ring? Where she can hide it in prison? And Why???
Someone during first week said, that there is no villains in this novela. I think, only Lucia is already enough.
Alegria
we will all have a good time for sure.

Please, Uni, get this guy a galan role and you'll have the prime age group 15-77 drooling...and watching his every move. Good for rating, doncha think?
Alegria, I thought MC was just holding the ring when she took it off. She held it up and looked at it, maybe like asking Otavio where is he when she needs him?
Lucia is certainly all the villain anyone needs. That's why I used the "Smiling Faces" song quote for the title.
Variopinta, yes, Isla Dorada is the casino Don Alejandro owns. It will be a part of MC's future one way or another, since we've already been introduced to it.
Carlos, we've seen other TNs where our heroes are threatened with burning, but I have a bad feeling about this one.
