Corazón Indomable #51, 7/23/2013: Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish

We may get a recap from Jardinera later on the Tuesday episode, but in case we don’t, here are the top four things that happened this episode:

1) Teobaldo meets with a plastic surgeon in D.F. who says he can fix his face and his hump. Teo wants secrecy and to be an in-clinic patient. He has the big bucks to pay. He later goes to visit Aracely at the boarding house to tell her he’ll be incognito for a while, and to offer her jobless self some money. She refuses the money, but she’s very happy to see him.

2) Serafina reams out Octavio, since Ed was too much of a chicken to return to D.F. on the same plane as Teo. She can tell Aracely is good, innocent and naïve, like MC, and she doesn’t want Ed to use, abuse, and knock her up, like Tav did to MC…. “WAIT! Say what?!” Tav is impactado, as if this is the first time he’s hearing this news (ignoring the fact that MC herself told him she thought she was pregnant, and Serafina mentioned it once before). If he has a kid out there, he wants to know about it! Serafina can’t understand why guys like Tav and Ed, with (sexual) experience, can’t leave inexperienced girls alone. And if they do go after them, why can’t they wear a hat on their jimmies? As the experienced party, it’s THEIR job to make sure a baby isn’t produced if they aren’t serious about staying with these girls. AMEN Sister Serafina! Tell it!

3) Juanita, the Nanny, asks the question all of Viewerville has been asking for weeks now. What is Mari going to name the baby? Uh, uhm… Seems Mari has not given this any thought at all. She is quite surprised by the question, as if the baby can simply be called BABY forever more. She decides she will be named after her mom, Guadalupe. Hello Lupita. Nice to meet you.

4) Luciafer falls hook, line, and sinker for Ewsebio’s tricks, and follows him out to the Rape Forest to catch Miguel in the act with his fantasy mistress. As expected, Ewsebio tries to rape her. Miguel, who obviously ate his Wheaties today, gets worried when he hears Lucia went out, ALONE, with Ewsebio to find him in flagrante. He gets his shot gun and his horse, and when he finds Ewsebio slobbering all over his wife on the Rape Forest floor, he shoots him dead, in the chest. Good riddance!

Other happenings:
-Mari continues to impose her authority over Carola and Tony at the casino. She is not down with the Governor’s children being allowed to “win” regularly or run up debts they never pay at the casino. She plans on having a little chat with the Governor.
-Karim continues to obsess about Mari. Kidnapping is becoming more of an option.

Am I a bad person for screaming "yeah baby!" when I read that Eusebio had been killed?

Eli - Nope! I think every viewer was saying that right along with you, although most of us would have liked to see the real basura suffer more.

Thanks, Vivi. Gee, I was surprised when Miguel cared enough to go look for Lucrazia and even more surprised that he shot Ewww dead. Well, scratch one item off Mari's to do revenge list. When/ If she discovers that Eww raped Solita, she missed her chance to settle that score. Ewww's raping, drinking days are done. At least we will not have to endure looking at that pervert anymore. Adios, and I sincerely hope that you do NOT rest in peace.

With Eusebio gone, I wonder how Maricruz will find out that Lucia was responsible for the fire at the jacal.

Does Awfelia know that Eww set the shack on fire ?

Great recap and I think you covered everything! Bravo, Vivi!

Thank you for the brief, yet still very funny recap, Vivi. I don't know how you do it. I hope Jardinera is ok and is able to get back to us quick.

I myself just finished watching and I found the baby naming the most interesting part. Funny how we got a murder in this episode, an almost rape, the hero finding out the heroine was pregnant with his baby and the greatest smack down coming from Serafina towards the two pilotontos, but still, the baby naming is such a big deal to us.
I CAN NOT believe MC didn't think about this, choosing a name is one of the first bonding experiences with your baby. I was hoping when we got to hear the name it would be implied that it has been chosen before, but noo...the writers are really bending over backwards to show us how consumed is MC with her revenge.
If Ed will still have doubts about MA being MC, then he really needs to go get his brain checked.

Thanks for the briefing on the show. I'm in buffering hell trying to watch it online right now. It stopped right before Eusebio gets it.

I lost my own poll. I picked episode 62 for the baby to finally get a name.

Hi Vivi---Thanks so very much for your help. I knew that there must have been a problem.

I have a few things to say as always. EWWsebio---went down fast, he never knew what hit him. No vengeance for him, he ain't commin' back. Lucifer sure jumped into Miguel's arms fast, you know that terrible Miguel that was cheating on her. This wasn't a funny scene but in a way, I had to laugh at Lucifer crazy.

Carlos---Do you wish that you had been there to save your wild, evil eyed Lucifer from EWWseibo?

Question---Corola wrote out a check to Maricruz and wasn't happy about it. I heard Maricruz say the word policia. Was she going to call the police on Corola if she didn't pay back the money that she stole from the casino?

And what was with Tony? Was he refusing to accept Maricruz as the casino's new owner? It looked like it and Maricruz had to set him straight. Is that what happened?

Karim may soon get out of hand. I think that there will be BIG trouble ahead with him.

Thanks Vivi. You always come through in a pinch and I'm in awe of your memory. You could do this for any of the telenovelas you watch.

I admit, to my everlasting shame, that I wanted to see Lucia get roughed up a bit more before rescue. Considering what happened to poor innocent Solita, I'd say Lucia was due for punishment a little stiffer than a moderate tussle and some unfounded jealousy. On the other hand, she's showing a bit of nobility by protecting Miguel. Is the witch redeemable then? Must see TV.

You're welcome all. Hopefully Jardinera will check in with us to let us know she's alright. I'm sure she's just busy.

Gringo- Yes. Mari threatened to call the cops if Carola didn't write out a check from the amount she has stolen from the casino, and Tony doesn't like having to answer to Mari who now has more authority than Carola. He's being pretty stupid about it.

Judy- It's not just you. I wanted BOTH Luciafer and Ewsebio to suffer more. Not that I wanted to see her get raped, But I wouldn't have minded a few slaps for either of them.

Thanks, Vivi! I sure enjoyed Eusebio getting his. Elizabeth Alvarez is sure doing a good job. Evil and totally crazy at the same time,

Jarifa

I also just realized that I'm not going to get to see Luciafer have revenge sex with Ewsebio. Darn!

Would anyone think to ask Solita who got her pregnant now that she can sign?

Vivi - great mini-cap! Loved Sister Serafina! And is Tav the dumbest, most clueless, most uncaring galan ever?

Lupita, not the name I could have hoped for, but it makes sense (I always think of the pig in "the Milagro Beanfield War" when I hear "Lupita"!)

Good to see Miguel's such a good shot, but Ewwsebio could have lingered and suffered until Friday. This way he takes his secrets to the grave - and Luciafer can continue her evil craziness.

Beth

@Judy B:
I completely understand. It's sad that nobody was there to defend Solita when she was getting raped. And @Aleta, I'm really worried about that. As much as I liked seeing Ewwwsebio dead, he was the only one who knew that Luciafer planned Don Ramiro's death.

I'm really curios about Teobaldo's back story. When Araceli mentioned her suspicions about a secret money stash, it made me think of how scared Carola seems to be of him. We know she can't fire him, for whatever reason.

So it looks like the governor is going to fall in love with MC too. I have to say, I'm a bit tired of every new character lusting after her.

All that nonsense where Teo was on the plane and everyone commenting on his ugliness and the FA being taken aback by his looks was ridiculous. He's not even that ugly. When he doesn't talk, you can't even tell that his mouth is crooked. And even still, he's not as ugly as they made him out to be. But I know it's for added effect for after he comes back all handsome. Will the ladies all fall all over him when he comes back? If he looks like his real life picture, they won't be able to help it.

Cathyx- The flight attendant's reaction really bugged me. As a person who works in the service industry, she should be better prepared to work with people who have all kinds of looks and needs.

Vivi, this TN needs a new galan, and I'm ready for it to be the new and improved handsome Teobaldo. Go Teo!

Mercy, who knew that Manuel Landete was such a hunk!!! I assumed that he was disabled and thought how kind of the casting folks to hire a handicapped man. What a terrific actor he was and is -- very convincing.

Can't wait to see the "reveal" and see where the story line takes Teo from here.

Oh Halleluiah for the Nanny and Serafina! Good sense is nice to see.

Was Ed supposed to fly that plane? Did he call in sick just because he was un cobarde (even though he'd be locked in the cockpit)? And really, haven't we all seen worse people than Teo? He's perfectly polite. You'd think a flight attendant would appreciate that.

And didn't someone say that Esther knew about the fire? I thought she was disgusted by the false arrest and left before the fire, but someone corrected my (bad) memory. She must know since someone has to take down Lucia. Unless of course Inspector Jose Antonio solves the case.

Hey! Wouldn't he be the new capataz? Good for JA. Time for him to meet Aracely.

Kelly

Esther suspected about the fire, and was so freaked out that Lucia would do something like that, that she left. I don't think Lucia ever confirmed it to her though. But she did confirm it with Miguel, which is why he has been so disgusted with her.

I wouldn't put it past Lucia herself to confess her crimes to the police. She's that crazy that she would brag about it at some point. My biggest beef with Ewsebio dying now is not that he won't get to rat on Lucia, but that he'll never face justice for raping Solita and killing Ramiro. His death was too quick and easy.

Thanks so much Vivi for your recap. ITA w/you about Eusebio getting off too easy particularly regarding Solita's rape.

JudyB - you were not the only one who wanted the baddies to suffer more. I could think of some wretched TN punishments for them.

Gringo - ITA w/you about Karim. He's too close to crazy to be safe for MA.

Rape Forest....Shame on you Vivi! LOL! I almost choked on my sunflower seeds. That was so funny.

Cyn- That is a true compliment...making you choke on sunflower seeds with laughter. :)

Vivi in DC, I think, she said NO to Miguel about the fire. She confirmed all the rest, but not this.
As for Esther, Lucia didn't say No. She said nothing at all, so i think it means YES.
Alegria

Thanks Vivi, for the wonderful recap!

I haven't been able to watch this yet, but surely will do it just for seeing Eww dying and MC names the baby!

What really bugging me, how come she doesn't have a name picked yet??
It's not like she didn't have time, not just the last 2 weeks, what about the pervious almost 9 months?? Helloo!

Glad Ewww is out of the picture although he would have deserved a painful, aginizing, streched out death struggle, not just a clean shot and instant lights out.
