Corazon Indomable #55, 7/29/2013: Let’s Get On With the Revenge and Kidnapping Already!

I was bored by this episode, so I’m keeping it really short. Scenes are not in order.

“It’s My Party and I’ll Invite Who I Want To”
Mari and Doris receive their invitations to the Ball...eerrr…Karim’s birthday party (aka, the kidnapping of Mari party). Mari reminisces with Juanita about the time in her life when she had few clothes, and her best dress was a (sometimes) white, shabby thing.  Apparently, both Mari and Doris need to find dresses more opulent than the ones they wear every night in the casino, so they head to the same boutique on the island to try on dresses and to make catty remarks at each other.

Doris can’t believe a “woman of the casino” like Maria Alejandra was invited to such an important event, at which the crème de la crème of Isla Dorada’s society will be in attendance. She shoots off her mouth to the shop attendant, saying that she will contact Karim and have him rescind Mari’s invitation. The attendant tells Mari, but she isn’t worried since she knows Karim is wrapped around her little finger.

Doris calls Tav and orders him to be her date for the party. He is hesitant because he doesn’t have a thing to wear. Because those tuxedoes he wears to the casino every week are just too casual for a birthday party. Our educated, landowner pilot also doesn’t seem to feel he’s up to the level of the other invited guests. I think the man protests too much, and just doesn’t want to spend an evening with Doris, her father, her brother, AND Karim. I’d be finding plenty of excuses not to join that sparkling crowd too. Maybe he should have told Doris he’s washing his (luxurious) hair that weekend.

Doris’ next call, after a ride in her golf cart vintage car, is to Karim. She is sure his secretary, or some other lowly servant, must have sent those invitations, otherwise that woman of the casino would not have been invited. Karim humors her and plays at agreeing to rescind Mari’s invitation. This petty display of jealousy just confirms Karim’s theory that all women are the same.

The next call Karim gets is from the Governator, who has just asked the police chief to check into Tav’s background, at the advice of Mari. He has learned of his daughter’s efforts to get Mari disinvited to the party. Doris was not impressed to learn from him that Mari is not just a “woman of the casino”, but the majority owner of the casino. The Governor asks Karim to add her back to the invitation list. Karim acts like he’s granting the Governor’s wish, due to his respect for him. After he hangs up, Karim calls the Governor and his daughter a pair of idiots. (We agree with you, Karim.) Little do they know that he is throwing the party FOR Maria Alejandra. And if Mari doesn’t agree to be his during the party, then the kidnapping plan is ON! No one will be able to find her in the desert. Bwahahaha!

“Working 9 to 5-- What a Way to Make a Living?”
Miguel looks in the want ads and comes across the ad for Teo’s old job of porter and watchman for the casino. He interviews with Carola, who likes his obvious education and class. They only thing he needs is certification that he knows how to handle firearms. “You know how to use a gun, don’t you?”(If you only knew, Carola!) Miguel gulps and assures her that he knows his way around pistols…and shot guns. Perfect! All he needs now is to get fitted for a uniform. “Qué?!” The salary won’t be much, so he’ll have to learn how to butt-kiss so he can get tips. “Qué?! That’s like begging!” (pedir limosna) Carola can tell he’s never been an employee before. LOL! Miguel admits it. He refuses Carola’s offer of the FREE house (the one Teo lived in), opting instead to waste the few pesos he’ll earn living in one of the local (not cheap) hotels.

Raiza spots Miguel as he leaves Carola’s office and is perplexed when Carola tells her why he was there. She explains to Carola that he’s Tav’s land-owner brother, who got his drunk on at the casino the other night. He is NOT poor, and does NOT need this kind of job. Raiza gets the impression that he’s running/hiding from something. Perhaps the law? The Conseco sisters file that bit of speculation away for another day.

Mari gets the news about the new hire from Carola via phone. Before she learns the new porter is Miguel, she fights Carola on the low salary. Her shocked reaction at learning who it is, leads Carola to conclude she knows him. Mari denies it. The last name just sounds familiar. Ahh, yes. It must be because he is the brother of that pilotonto who is stalking me. Mari surprises ME by not ranting to the camera about using this for her revenge against the Narvaez family, but give her time.

Tav is not pleased to hear that his brother would lower himself to work at such a menial job. Miguel understands that he’ll have to bow and scrape to the customers, right? (Much like the ranch employees bow and scrape to them, huh?) For example, if it’s raining, he’ll have to hold an umbrella over the clientele, while he gets soaking wet. Miguel doesn’t know what else to do. He HAS to find a job so that Lucia doesn’t have to maintain him. Tav wants him to turn down the porter job. He’ll speak to his “friend”, the Governor’s daughter, to see if her dad can find him a more dignified job.

“I was working in the lab late one night, when my eyes beheld an eerie sight. For my monster from his slab began to rise, and suddenly to my surprise…He did the mash. He did the Monster Mash.”
Teobaldo looks like the Mummy with his face all bandaged up, but his hump is still visible. The doctor enters his room and tells him they can remove the bandages now and see the results of his first surgery. (I guess those 10 days have passed.) The doctor removes the first layer of bandages and then for some odd reason, hands Teo the mirror. Considering he has about 10 more layers of bandages, all Teo, and we, can see is one of his eyes. We are not shown any further reveals.

“He Fooled Around and Fell in Love”
Aracely accompanies Ed to the airport to see him off. They are in full puppy love mode, and Tav and the flight attendant (the one Ed used to fool around with) comment that Ed is in love, but just doesn’t know it yet. Tav wants to have some fun teasing Ed about this, but Ed is on to him before he even starts. He denies being in love with Aracely and claims he’s just having a good time with her. But the facts speak for themselves: 1) He has not dated/slept with any other women since he started seeing Aracely. 2) He has yet to sleep with Aracely. 3) He gets all googly eyed and lovey dovey around Aracely. Ed may talk a good game, but he’s no longer a player.

“There Goes My Baby”
Apparently rich women aren’t cut out for hard work, and especially not during their pregnancies. After wrapping up a fruitful day of working side by side with Jose Antonio, and sporting her curve-hugging jeans and button-down shirt, Lucia doubles over in pain on the steps of the hacienda. JA carries her into the house in his strong, manly arms, where Ester and Awfelia fuss over her, but do nothing else until Lucia tells them to call the doctor. JA takes her upstairs, while they do just that. The doctor is so skilled that not only can he tell Lucia lost her baby, without taking off a stitch of her clothing, he can also perform the DNC right there in the house with no assistant and with just the equipment he brought with him! Lucia goes all glassy-eyed crazy and orders them NOT to inform Miguel that she lost the baby. It’s already her fault that he had to flee, and she doesn’t want to give him one more reason to despise her.

Avances: Mari shows up at Karim’s wearing a super HOT red dress. Karim continues to plot the kidnapping. Mari can’t get Tav out of her heart.

Thanks for the snarky recap, Vivi. My favorite lines were Octavio washing his (luxurious) hair, Teobaldo and the Monster Mash reference, and Doris/MC needing to find more opulent dresses than the ones they already wear every night at the casino.

I've been trying really hard to defend this TN lately, but my God...this episode was so boring. I found myself fast-forwarding like crazy, and it looks like I missed nada. The one thing I enjoyed was Karim calling Doris and her father idiots. My blue-eyed Arab amigo is my favorite character so far.

What on earth is Luciafer's plan? She throws Miguel under the bus to the authorities and now she's in love with him? Can somebody please explain to me cual es su juego?

I would love it if Karim successfully kidnapped MC, and the rest of the TN was set in the Middle East rather than Isla Aburrida. That obviously won't happen, but a girl can dream.

Love the recap and your line about Tabs glorious hair. He and AB should do Pantene ads together.

Did anyone else think that the actor playing Karim was starting to break character a bit in the beg? I kept thinking he looked like he was on the verge of laughing when he was trying to be serious. I actually found it more entertaining to watch him trying to hold it in.

Must say I was disappointed to see MA in a red dress. I feel like we've done it already. I was kinda hoping for a brilliant green to go with the jewels.

Funny recap, Vivi, as usual.

Excellent, Vivi! Loved the song titles!

"Mari surprises ME by not ranting to the camera..."

Color me surprised, too. Lately all she does is grit her teeth and emote.

I actually was entertained by this episode. Catty comments, sniping and an over the top emir (who I agree was trying to keep it together a la Harvey Korman when faced with Tim Conway.)

Carvivilie-I am crushed that she is in a red dress...and a rather "meh" one at that. I was hoping for something more jaw-dropping and green, too.

vivi - thanks so much for your funny recap. Like other great recappers, your annoyance with stupidity is more snarky fun for us. Your reference to Tav's wonderful hair and the monster mash were nice touches.

OK, while the governor is creepy I'm happy he's in love with MC only b/c if Karim is successful with this ridiculous kidnapping scheme, he probably has problem solving skills which our current galan and his brother do not.

It seems TN fate keeps beating MC in her plans for revenge. She may not have to lift a finger and Tav & his family may be all gone.

Thanks Vivi, loved your snarks about Tav hair and the "skilled doctor" LOL.

Also LOL-ed the remark about MC & Doris need to find more opulent dresses then they already wear.

Will they have a Mari-Karim-Tav showdown now we know that they ALL going to be at the party?

NO SPOLIER, but I'm sure it's a pretty safe bet that somehow Tav going to prevent the kidnapping or if not that then he'll going to save Mari or help her escape of the clutches of the "desert lord".

For me still hard to believe the blond, blue-eyed Karim as an Arab prince, but also noticed he was almost laughing at the serious scenes.

I don't mind the red dress, red goes very well with AB coloring and highlights her dark hair and skin tone.
Actually almost every bright jewel tone goes well for her, no matter the color, I even think that a sickly yellowish-beige dress wouldn't harm her beauty.

Thank you, Vivi, for your stellar recap. So much better than the show!

Just two episodes ago Miguel was all about getting a job, no matter how demeaning and what do you know? He finds a job in 10 seconds, one that isn't that bad after all (it's not like they asked him to scrub the floors), but he doesn't like it, he doesn't take the FREE house that was offered to him and he keeps pouting that his cozy life is over.

And so goes all my simpathy for Miguel...Right now I think Lucia is in more need of help, and yeah, I know we hate her, but Migullible is such a "poco hombre".

So tonight we have the big ball - do you think MA will lose a slipper when trying to escape Karim's goonies and the emir will have to search the entire island to find her? Oh, no, that's another story, but it surely makes more sense then the 'meh' we have to watch.

Another great recap! It was an odd episode. I don't like Octavio and Eduardo being at odds with each other. And I wonder how much they pay the actress who plays Araceli. All she ever gets to do is stand in the background and not speak. I personally almost fell off the chair when I saw MA in the red gown. She could not be more beautiful. Anyone who doesn't like her in red needs to get to LensCrafters ASAP!

I didn't say I didn't like her in red. She does indeed look fabulous. However, up to this point she has not been one to wear the same color within a 3 episode time period.

Vivi...loved all your observations...this one especially:

"The doctor removes the first layer of bandages and then for some odd reason, hands Teo the mirror. Considering he has about 10 more layers of bandages, all Teo, and we, can see is one of his eyes"

LOL

I missed the part (in a past episode ?) where a kidnapping plan was revealed...or is this something our most-prescient recappers are foreteling? I can't figure out alot of what is being said in faux-Arab land. Glad to get everyone else's take on Karim as I've been thinking he's just looney! The "inside-joke" aspect helps.

I too am wondering how many more characters can fit on Isla and hope Lucia isn't the next to arrive. Claustrophobic indeed.

Also agree the plot needs to move on....missing Mari's papa who lit this thing up for a while.

Glad you all enjoyed the short and not so sweet recap. :)

Dona Felipa- Karim has been speaking about kidnapping Mari for quite a while. He really did say that no one will be able to find her in the desert. As ridiculous as that is, I didn't make that up. :)

I miss Don Ale too. But as of La Tempestad's premier last night, he's already playing someone's evil papa.

Anon 6:21- This tn, more than most others I have seen, is paying a lot of actors to stand around and wait in the wings and not do much. Not just Aracely. There must be a more efficient way to weave them into the existing plot. Maria was smart to cut bait and leave once she had delivered the box and her storyline was finished.

Thanks much Vivi!

I really enjoyed seeing Carlos/Karim wearing that white embroidered and lace tunic/kameez. That was a lovely piece of clothing.

The blue-eyed Arab doesn't bother me much - I figure his mother and grandmother were blue-eyed blondes "imported" from Europe.

Audrey

I enjoy Carlos de la Mota too. He always seems like he's having fun playing his roles, and he's having lots of fun playing Karim. He's the only one in the cast who seems to get how ridiculous this all is, and he's enjoying it. The actress that plays Carola, Rocio B., had so much fun playing the evil Fina in CME. They aren't giving her enough material here, to really sink her teeth into.

Vivi I so agree with your observation regarding Rocio Banquelles. I think her Carola is fantastic. She manages to make her more than a one-dimensional villain doing villanous things just for the fun of it ie: Lucia. She makes Carola mean and greedy, but also makes her seem like a bright capable businesswoman trying to hold her own in a world populated mostly by men. The scenes with her and MA grimacing and glaring at one another is one of the things that keeps me watching.

Miguel has to take the job, I want to see him in a sailor suit uniform.

Very funny Vivi. I loved your description of Lucia and the doctor's performance and he did it all with her clothes still intact. I wish my doctor could do all that kind of work with me remaining fully clothed. Those mammograms would be considerably less uncomfortable if I could just keep my clothes on.

Cathyx- I want to see him in that sailor suit too! I think he might look even more ridiculous than Teo did.

There has been some talk here about blue eyed Arabs, but I was just oblivious to them (I had the Tav Desease, I guess).

In Algeria a big part of the population has blue or green eyes - they are called Kabil (I hope my spelling is ok). I don't know where Karim's emirate is, but his blue eyes don't bother me at all.
I have green eyes and clear skin and I was mistaken for a Kabil a few times, too, so Carlos de la Mota can very well be an Arab in a tn where the pilots allow a drunken woman in the cockpit or a woman who hasn't even finished primary school (that we know of) wants to administer a Casino - and they LET her do it!

Besides, Carlos de la Mota plays the part with a type of joy that really highlights the ridiculousness of the character.

Imagine the confusion when they approached him to play the part of an Arab. Who, me? Really?

Gracias Vivi

I'm barely holding on.
I hope the kidnapping happens, I want to see MA on a camel.
Lucia lost the baby, wonder how long it will take Miguel to notice?

So Teo has had his eyes covered for 10 days! The doctors in this are amazing, no x-rays for Teo, no internal exam for Lucia. What are they planning to do about the dead baby? I guess the Dr. did the D&C right there. I now think the pay for the writers is too high at $1.87.

LOL Adriana, TOO TRUE!!

Miguel in a sailor suit, why haven't I thought of that?

Must see TV!

Calling someone an Arab really only describes the region they come from, not really a race. The Middle-East was a crossroads for many races and cultures over the centuries, and they all left their DNA behind, so you get things like blue and green eyes, and light hair popping up in the gene pool all the time-- in some places more frequently than others. Then add the attraction many higher class/rich Arab men have for blonde foreign wives, and the gene pool gets mixed up even more in present times. I totally buy that an emir could look like Karim.

Syria's president, Bashar Al-Assad, has blue eyes: http://www.aim.org/newswire/say-wha-irans-stepping-up-supplies-to-syria/attachment/bashar-al-assad/

Vivi -- brilliant recap as always. I look forward to your comments eagerly. Loved the GLORIOUS HAIR comment , and I agree, glorious!! Also want to see if The MIg suits up in the sailor outfit.

AND the big stride for the TN. The use of CELL PHONES. Looked like jitter bugs, certainly not smart phones, but they are making technological progress if nothing else.

I will join all of you for the ball this evening, but will probably be wearing a ratty bathrobe.

OOOOPS -- did I call Tav's hair glorious? Am so dazzled by it I really should have said luxurious!!

emeraldrose- His hair is glorious too. :)

I think it's funny that we're can't wait for the kidnapping of the leading lady. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to look at wikipedia to see if things get cleared up so i could move on to something else. Now I'm just more confused and need to see how they make (insert spoiler here) work. This show. Jeez.

I'm also laughing at some of the comments because I saw a scene online and I don't know if it got missed here or was part of the extensive avances. The inability to snark here is just painful.

Kelly

Thanks for the great recap, Vivi. Very nicely done, although am I detecting a slight edge of annoyance?
Let remind you... THIS SHOW HAS A MONKEY IN IT!

So, has the Emir entered the fashion competition?

I liked the old Maricruz with less makeup and simple frocks.

I'm excited about the new improved Teo. Will we even be able to recognize him?

Even when she feels bad, Lucia prefers the manly touch. Ester offered to take her upstairs but no, "José Antonio will take me to my bedroom, you call the Dr. like I asked."

Carlos

@Kelly - I hear you about the inability to snark (about future happenings) being painful. I'm watching the Mexico broadcast so I'm up to episode #111 - trust me, there's so much I wish I could say too. But I have to stay mum. Oh well.

Ah Vivi, love it when you're cranky. You still managed to have fun with the recap and I loved each and every song title (and will be humming "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" all day, thanks to you)

I agree with everyone else that the highlight of the episode was watching the Emir play Doris and her papi, the "Governator". And in second place, but not far behind, watching Miguel squirm at the idea of having to work a pedestrian job after being Lord of the Manor all these years. Most Americans, no matter what lofty career they choose, had to work at something pretty grubby during their teenage years, so it's pretty amusing to watch these privileged characters swoon in disbelief. Welcome to most people's world, my friend.

And glad we've had another discussion on complexion and eye color. I have Palestinian friends, with large families, and some are dark-eyed and dark-haired, others have light brown hair (which they regard as blonde) and green eyes). So yes, as you pointed out, there are all ranges. Not everybody is an Omar Sharif.

Well thanks Vivi for convincing me not to bother catching the episode later. I got caught up in the Indians game and it was almost time for Manda before I realized what time it was. Doesn't sound like I missed much.

Is it horrid of me to be thankful that Luciafer is not bringing another poor child into this world? I worry about the one she already has enough. I'm sure she doubled over and went thru all that with narry breaking a sweat or mussing her hair. Am I right?

To kidnap or not to kidnap...I'll give it a try tonight, but they start messing with us again and put off the hijinks for just more tirades and dialog, hey, the Indians are playing again tonight.

Daisynjay

@Daisynjay, it's not horrid....you're talking to the commentators that were disappointed Ewwwsebio got a quick and easy death.

My biggest problem right now is the lack of truly evil characters. Luciafer is the only one. Carola and Raiza do nothing but talk about future scheming against MC (whatever that means). Doris is shallow and tacky, but she hasn't done any bodily harm to anybody. Usually it's nice to see TNs where not everything is black and white, but I'd like to see more "good" guys and "bad" guys.

Thank you Vivi---Booring? I'll say NOT! Wasn't the verbal tiff in the dress botique excitment enough for one night? Doris was so angry at MC
that her pretty blue eyes were about to pop out. I just LOVE the way that Doris looks like she is going to explode and Mari just looks at her with that "I'm in charge" look. Go Mari!

Maybe he should have told Doris he's washing his [luxurious] hair that weekend. LOL Vivi---that was definitely the top line of the night.

I have to say---SHAME on anyone that wants to see or is waiting for
a Maricruz kidnapping. Don't we get enough of that terrible stuff in the news?

Baily Marie---She throws Miguel under the bus and now she's in love
with him. Can anyone please explain
to me
Explanation---That's oh soooo easy
to understand. It's the women's brain, you know like dingbat. Don't get mad at me, you asked.
the gringo

Gringo- Oooh! Are you looking to get hurt throwing out a comment like that on this female-dominant blog? :)

I will raise my hand as one who want to get on with the kidnapping because it's Karim who'll be doing the kidnapping. In other words, it will not be a scary experience. An annoying one, yes. And quite probably an amusing experience too.

Now, if it were Ewsebio planning her kidnapping, I would be hoping someone plugged a bullet between his eyes before he even laid one finger on her. Oh wait...Miguel took care of that for us.

Vivi---Yes it's a female dominated
blog but we are talking about Lucia
Yeah, I would say dingbat for Lucia/lucifer. I always give credit where credit is due but Lucia???
the gringo

Vivi---And besides, since everyone is soooooo boored, well, they won't be now.
the gringo

I think that crazy people who are desperate are scary. Karim, Lucia, even squeaky, I mean Doris, Doris's father, and Carola. They have this desperation that seems to drive them to doing whatever it takes to get what they want. Even MC's vengeance is a bit scary since she's so single minded in it. But I'm sure that you meant that MC won't be ultimately physically harmed by Karim, but kidnapping a person is an action of someone who is unhinged mentally.

Can someone explain what's a 'dingbat' so I'll know should I be offended or not??

Dingbat means a stupid person. Archie Bunker always called his wife Edith a dingbat. So it's an offensive term, especially if a man uses it to call a woman that.
But I must say that Lucia is not a dingbat. She's an exceptionally smart woman to plot the way she does, and manipulate people to believe her lies. But she is extremely crazy and evil.

Irisz79---Don't be offended, it's only for Lucia.
the gringo

I forgot to add that Archie Bunker was a character on a comedy show called 'All in the Family' which was about an ignorant, racist man who was married to a sweet, yet naive, and uneducated woman who doted on him.

I think the kidnapping might be good for Maricruz (she's been educated but hasn't traveled) and fun for us. Besides, maybe she have a positive influence on her harem-mates. Just think how great she'll look in one of those little harem-girl outfits.

gringo, before you become an unintended casualty may I suggest that you were referring to that woman's (Lucia's) brain specifically and not women's brain(s) generally?

Carlos

Gringo, I'm ITA with Cathyx, Lucia is far away from being a dingbat, she's crazy, yes, malicious and evil, double yes but not stupid.

- but again I learnt a new word here in Caray, you guys are amazing! :)

Cathyx- I guess I just can't take Karim seriously-- even if he is obsessed. I'm not convinced he's rapist crazy/scary. I imagine his kidnapping involving keeping Mari in some huge palace, trying to impress her with new toys, jewels and pets, and being driven to distraction because none of it will work on Mari.

But maybe the writers will take his character to some dark place and I'll be wrong.

Carlos---No not women's brains, just Lucia's. She might be educated but she does act irrational-er batty at times.

Maricruz in a harem-girl outfit?
No not that, please!
the gringo

Vivi, I knew that's what you meant, and I'm all for the kidnapping too because I know she won't be harmed physically and this TN is so boring we need this little diversion. But in real life, kidnapping is done by sick people.

@Kelly and @LatinainMD- I admire your strength and stamina. I have to stay far far away from spoilers because I find it ruins the discussion for me. I was weak and read a bunch of spoilers for AV and it just ruined the whole experience for me. I'm trying not to do that with this.

But do you both promise to snark when the time is right? ;-)

@Bailey Marie-I'm with you on villainy. I just love to hate a villain. Doris is entertaining...but definitely not the kind of villain that makes things fun. On the flip side, I also feel like a villain can ruin a show with their evil: like Vainessa and Sin in LQNPA...they really drove me up the wall. It was pure hatred on my part and not a bit of the "love" part.

Ok. I'm blathering. Sorry.

Carlos- Thanks for catching the error that made it seem that Gringo was speaking about all women and not just Lucia. No worries then about the women here getting out the torches and pitchforks.

Lucia is not a dingbat. She's just bat sh*t crazy.

My go to site for slang is urbandictionary.com

Could be more than you want to know about dingbat, it was a printing term

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dingbat

Vivi y Carlos---No it's not about women, I love women. It's just Lucia. I can't stand her character
so I used the term. Anyway, as it turned out, today isn't booring.
the gringo

Carlos, I love what you say about Mari's kidnapping being a as a sort of "finishing school" and even I am now looking forward to her on a camel. Plus...some new clothes! But what about her newborn baby?

And Vivi...much appreciate your circling round for me on when the kidnapping was revealed. I'm really having a hard time following the Spanish on that part of the storyline and must have missed a couple of recaps where it was mentioned.

You and your recapper colleagues are the best!

Gringo- I've got you now. I don't think Lucia has any fans on this blog, other than Carlos' appreciation for how her assets look in tight jeans and tops, and those maxi dresses, oh, and her eyes. But Carlos always likes the bad girls.

Dona,

"But what about her newborn baby?"

I'm guessing that little Lupi won't even notice that the nice lady who came around to visit from time to time is even gone.

Carlos

Didn't Carlos have a thing for Vanessa in LQNPA and ringlets in AdP?

Sorry Carlos, I didn't mean to talk like you're not in the room. But didn't you like them too?

cathyx,

Vanessa, not so much, Cynthia, yes and Ingrid, yes.

Carlos

Just don't call him Carlos Danger.

Wow. The doctor puts a stethoscope to Lucia's abdomen, looks up and says, "the baby is dead." Forget the fact that sometimes the stethoscope isn't enough, that an ultrasound in a well-equipped hospital would show exactly what's wrong. What if the baby is still viable? And QTH with, we don't need to take her to the hospital, I'll take care of it here - on a table??? He went in and took the "product" and then what? They just wiped the table off and served supper? And I bet he did it all without making Lucia undress, or mess up her perfect hair and makeup!

Variopinta- LOL!

Anon 5:32- Yeah, there were just so many things wrong with that situation situation with the Doc, I really could have gone off on a long rant about it.

Just super super crazy. You need an anesthetist for a D&C plus all the rest (although it can be done with a local). As for the table, I think Ester or someone spoke about using the massage table...so at least it was not the supper table!

We've got the miracle suitcase, and now we have the miracle medical bag.
