La Tempestad Capitulo 27. September 3 2013. DamFab Is MIA; PesterEster Is MIA; And Some Scenes Are MIA As Well
Greetings Everyone! Unfortunately, Uni decided to butcher Caps 28-30 into one whole episode. This is really frustrating since it made the whole episode so hard to follow. The least Uni could do was butcher it in a way that would make sense. I'm going to try my best and recap this poorly edited episode.
We begin with Hernan apologizing to Marina for having confessed his feelings in such a savage way. Marina apologies to him. She tells him that it was not her intention to hurt him or offend him. Hernan tells Marina that he is a different man. He has changed thanks to her. Haven't you noticed? he asks. Marina tells Hernan that she still sees him as being the same as before. Oh no she didn't! What do you mean? Do you mean that I am still that stupid boy who had no self-esteem? Marina says that what she meant is that he has become a successful man. Hernan tells Marina that he'll never been sucessful without her love. I don't feel like a complete man if I'm not with you. I am a different man thanks to you. I was able to get out of the dark where I lived because you taught me to not be afraid to feel or love. I am the man that I am because of you. Ok, if this had just been said by someone who hadn't just blown up his rival then maybe I would be touched by his sweet words to Marina. Marina rolls her eyes and tells Hernan that he gives her too much credit. You are a good friend, a generous man, and I didn't teach you that. Since we found each other you have offered your help, says Marina. Hernan says yeah and I'll finally be able to offer you all that help that will be a lot. He has had the contract written out that will pass on some shares of the packing plant to him. He hands Marina the contract and tells him that this is his proposal. He tells her that she just has to read it over and then sign it to close the deal. Marina begins to read. Hernan thoughtbubbles and admires Marina's beauty. He thoughtbubbles that now that DamFab is gone Marina will find protection in his not so DamManlyMusucular arms. Dream on, buddy!
Out at sea, Bagre and Oso talk about Michel Fabre. Oso talks to Bagre about Michel Fabre. Oso worked for Michel Fabre as a cabin boy. Michel Fabre had a strong character but a noble heart. Michel Fabre loved his wife so much that after she died he was not able to love another woman. The difference between DamFab and his father is that DamFab has not found a woman like that. Bagre pours some alcohol into the coffee to spice up the conversation I guess. Bagre tells Oso that Damian has found a woman like that and when he least expected it. Oso asks if Bagre means Marina. Who else? asks Bagre. In all the years that I have known Damian I have never seen him like this for a woman. And Marina feels the same way. Everytime they are together one can feel the electricity floating in the air. They toast.
Meanwhile in R-Laydee, Eusebia has gone into some sort of trance at church. The church is filled with the townspeople who have gone to see what is happening. She is kneeling down right before the altar and there are two doves on her shoulders. Does anyone know what the doves represent? Bea and Tia Rebeca arrive. Tia Rebeca wants to get closer but Bea doesn't want to because what is happening to Eusebia is private and it shouldn't become a circus. Bea is not sure if she wants to get closer. Marina and Hernan arrive. Marina asks what's up with Eusebia. Tia Rebeca tells Marina that Eusebia is in trance. Bea says that it is the same thing that happened to Santa Teresa De Jesus. Marina thanks Hernan for having brought her there. Marina knows that he is busy and she doesn't want to keep him there. Bea asks Hernan to stay. ShutupBea. Hernan will stay despite thinking that the whole trance is BS.
At the pier, the crew is informed by the harbor man and the owner of the sailboat that the sailboat's alarm went off. It turns out that the alarm only goes off whenever there is something wrong. Oso asks if they were able to communicate with the saiboat. He is told that they were not. The owner thinks that something terrible must have happened to the sailboat. The crew are worried.
Back at church, Padre tries to get Eusbia out of her trance. Eusbeia says that she's losing Damian. Marina gets closer to Eusebia. Eusebia says that DamFab is leaving and asks for someone to help him. Marina is worried and leaves. Someone save him. Don't let anything happen to him. Someone save him, says Eusebia. PS: I just noticed that Fulgencio is at church too. He sure has some nerve. Padre forbade him to come back but there he was.
Meanwhile, somewhere out at sea, we see DamFab floating in the water. His necklace floats down to the bottom of the sea.
Outside of church, Marina is all worried about DamFab. Olinto comes running to bring her up to date of what is happening with DamFab. Marina wants to know if they were able to talk to DamFab. Olinto says no. He says that maybe it is all a false alarm. Maybe the radio got damaged. Marina says they have to find DamFab. Olinto tells Marina that Bagre is on La Tempestad. He wanted to ask her authorization to set sail. Bagre will wait for Marina five minutes and if she got there then she could go with them. Marina asks Olinto to take her to La Tempestad. Marina leaves just as Bea and Tia Rebeca come out of church. Bea calls out her name but Marina is long gone. Tia Rebeca wants to go back inside because it is possible that Eusebia in a trance will say more things.
Valdivia informs Hernan that everything went according to plan, but it is better that no one see them together at the moment. Valdivia goes inside the church. He asks to speak to Fulgencio in private. Valdivia tells Fulgencio that the sailboat where DamFab and PesterEster were traveling has disappeared. What?? What do you mean disappeared?? asks Fulgencio. Valdivia tells Fulgencio that the harbor man has not been able to communicate with the sailboat. Fulgencio wants to know when all this happened. Valdivia says that he just found out. Rumor has it that the radio could be damaged, but then again there are also rumors that something tragic happened, says Valdivia. Fulgencio is worried and asks what the hell Valdivia. Valvidia says that maybe the two non-honeymoons had an accident. Valdivia tells Fulgencio about the alarm that only goes off when there is an emergency. Fulgencio doesn't want Delfina to know about this. He will take care of this.
At the pier, Marina and Olinto arrive. The crew is getting things ready to set sail. Marina tells Olinto that if he needs anything to ask Hernan. Marina gets aborad the ship.
Outside Hernan's pad, Fulgencio drives up and asks for Hernan's help. Fulgencio tells Hernan about the sailboat maybe suffering an accident. Fulgencio says that his daughter could be in danger and he needs to go and look for her. Fulgencio surprises me. He does seem to be worried about PesterEster. Still, I wouldn't give him a father of the year award. Hernan, the ever so generous human being [NOT] tells Fulgencio that he can count on him. Hernan will take Fulgencio to look for his daughter on his yacth. They are getting into the car. Hernan asks Fulgencio if he knows where DamFab and PesterEster were headed. Fulgencio says that he does. They were headed for some islands near by. They drive off.
At the plaza, Olinto is organizing a serach party for DamFab and PesterEster. (too bad we can't get a search for the scenes that were butchered by Uni). Delfina wants to know what's up. Olinto tells Delfina about the possibility that the sailboat where DamFab and PesterEster were traveling could have sunk. Delfina cries and says it can't be. Bea says that DamFab is an expert when it comes to the sea and he will be able to control any situatuion. Olinto agrees and says that they shouldn't think the worst. Olinto mentions that Marina went out to sea on La Tempestad. Que??? says Bea. Olinto sends the townspeople off to go and search.
Out at sea, a Tempestad is pouring down on La Tempestad, the crew reels in something. They are burned remains from the sailboat plus DamFab's Captain's hat. Marina picks up the Captain's hat, thinks DamFab is dead, and cries. The crew all look like they want to cry too.
Out at sea, Fulgencio is on Hernan's yacht. But for some reason there is no Tempestad pouring down on them. QTH?? Fulgencio is talking on the radio and saying that he won't come back without PesterEster. Fulgencio tells whoever he is talking to to tell Delfina to quit boterhing him. He even threatens to have the person he is talking to fired if he calls him up again. Fulgencio asks Hernan if there is anything new. Hernan says no, calm down old man! Ok I added that old man part. Fulgencio thinks it is strange that they aren't seeing the other boats. I also think its strange that there is no Tempestad pouring down on them. Hernan thinks it is strange. Fuglencio wonders what could have happened with the other boats. Hernan makes up some excuse about the radar. Fulgencio says that he has to find PesterEster or else Delfina will die from the pain. Hernan the two faced bastard comforts Fulgencio. Blech!
On La Tempestad, Marina walks into DamFab's cabin. She is soaking wet and she cries uncontrollably and hugs the Captain's hat. She remembers some DamFab moments with DamFab including the DamFabKiss in the love cave as their theme songs plays in the background. She goes over to the dresser and picks up something and takes something out of it. Sorry, I couldn't make out what it was that she took out. Don't do this to me, Damian. Show me that you are what you say and come back please come back please don't fail me. You have to remember that we were always going to be together. You can't abadon me, Damian. Please. Please mi amor, says Marina.
Back at church, Eusebia tells Padre that the Virgen let her see DamFab in the middle of an explosion. Ever since she found out that DamFab was going to marry PesterEster the Virgen has not stopped sending her singals. The Virgen has been telling her that something bad would happen. The Virgen never lies to her.
Back at La Tempestad, the Tempestad is still pouring on them, Oso asks Lagarto if he sees something up there. Lagarto says that he does not. Marina continues to remember some DamFab moments with DamFab. Marina asks Bagre what he thinks could have happened. Bagre says that they found burned remains which means that there was an explosion. Bagre can't hold back any more and he hugs Marina and cries.
At Fulgencio's, Fulgencio is having his own Tempestad at home, Delfina is in tears and chewing him out for having wished PesterEster dead. She calls him a murderer. Fulgencio tells Delfina to not say that. He never wished PesterEster's death. He could never wish her that. It was something said at the heat of the moment nothing more. But he could never wish that. Mayuya who is the room through all of this slithers out of the room. Who else thinks that she will be doing some eavesdropping? Anyway, Delfina tells Fulgencio that he loves one but himself. She accuses him of having no feelings. Fulgencio tells Delfina that she not idea how much he is suffering. Delfina accuses him of being a hypocrite. Fulgencio tries to get near her but Delfina doesn't want him to get near her. She calls him a monster and says that God has punished her just like him because of his lies. Fulgencio tells Delfina that she can't think that. Dlefina doesn't want Fulgencio to touch her. She never wants to feel his hands on her. She doesn't ever want to see him again. She doesn't want him in her room anymore. He does not exist for her anymore. He's dead. She says that she lost her daughter and husband on the same day. Fulgencio is left speechless and for the first time ever we can see that he does have feelings and does care about his daughter.
Back at La Tempestad, Lolo spots something in the water. Bagre dives into the ocean despite being told not to becasue of how dangerous it could be. Before diving into the ocean, Bagre says that DamFab would have done the same for them.
Now on to the most repuslvie scene of the night. We will all need to control ourselves so as not to want to throttle Hernan. They must me dead, says Hernan all smiles as he jumps into the pool. Hernan is really relishing the thought about having blown up DamFab and PesterEster. Valvidia laughs and says that he saw some burned wood that someone found and what was left was only remains. Hernan laughs. Hernan tells Valdivia that he has to prevent any investigation being done. Valdivia laughs. Hernan says that it must have been a big explosion. Valdivia says that even if they find out that there was explosion there is no reason for anyone to suspect them. There are many reasons for an explosion to have occurred. You should have seen Fulgencio. He who always talks bad about PesterEster looked worried, says Hernan. Valdivia laughs and Hernan laughs saying that if Fulgencio was faking then he was doing a good job at it. Valvidia mentions that Marina will be crying over DamFab's death and mentons that Marina went out looking for DamFab on La Tempestad. La Tempestad is a fishing boat and if it fishes up all the fishes that are eating up DamFab then we'll have him here in a few days, says Hernan as he laughs. Valdivia says that Hernan has a twisted mind. Umm, and you are just noticing that, Valdivia!
Back out at sea, Marina is in the ocean and asking for help. She thinks she has found DamFab but it is actually Bagre. She is helped back onto a boat with Bagre. Marina says thank God we found Bagre. Lolo says yes thank God but what about DamFab. Marina says that DamFab is probably somewhere out in the ocean lost but she can feel that he is alive. Bagre is revived and he asks if they found DamFab. Oso says they have to get back onto La Tempestad. Oso says that they will have to accept that at least for tonight DamFab won't be found.
At Bea's house, Olinto arrives and tells Bea, Tia Rebeca, Hernan, and Jose that La Tempestad is back at shore. Olinto informs them that everyone is ok except for Bagre who almost drowned when he thought that he saw DamFab. Bagre is at the hospital. Hernan asks if they found PesterEster or DamFab. Olinto says that they did not find anything except DamFab's Captain Hat and some remains of the sailboat. Tia Rebeca mentions that she thinks it is strange that La Tempestad found remains while Hernan's yacht didn't find anything. Could his radar not be working right?? Hernan gets a little nervous and says what do I know. He is going to go to the hospital to see Marina. Tia Rebeca and Bea will be going to the hospital too after changing clothes. Jose will accompany them.
At the hospital, Eusbeia is at the hospital. The cook of La Tempestad asks how did Eusebia know that they would be there. Lolo says that Eusebia knows it all. Doc Suspenders comes out and informs everyone that Bagre is ok. He has wound on his head that caused bleeding but he will be fine. The crew and Marina are relived to hear this. A few days in the hospital and Bagre will be good as new, says Doc Suspenders. Oso asks if they can go in and see Bagre. Doc Suspenders says no because he gave Bagre a sedative and it would be best to let Bagre rest. Marina says they should all go home and they can come bcak tomorrow. Eusebia says that they have not said anything about DamFab. Why?? she asks. Oso says that they will going out to sea again tomorrow. Marina tells Eusebia that DamFab only has herself and her. She swears that she won't stop the search for DamFab. They will find him dead or alive. Eusebia assures Marina that DamFab is alive.
At Fulgencio's house, Delfina tells Mayuya that she couldn't sleep thinking about PesterEster. Mayuya says that she also couldn't sleep [LIAR]. She mentions not being able to imagine how much PesterEster must have suffered when the sailboat was sinking. Don't even say that, says Delfina. Mayuya tells Delfina that she spent the whole night praying so PesterEster could come back [LIAR]. Fulgencio shows up and Delfina goes on again about not wanting him at the house anymore. Fulgencio says he has nowhere to go and when he finds a place he will leave. Delfina wants Fulgencio to avoid running into her because she does not want to see him. Fulgencio will have them bring up his food to the guest room where he has moved in. Delfina says that she believes in the sacrement of marriage and that is what is preventing her from divorcing him. Let's go, Mayuya! says Delfina. They both leave.
Marina and Hernan are in Hernan's car driving somewhere. Marina doens't want to listen to music because she is not in the mood. Hernan tells Marina to relax and enjoy the scenary.
Mexico City
Mercedes prays to the Virgenicita for her and her daughters to be protected by her. She isn't sure that the homeless lady is Magdalena but something in her heart isn't letting her be at peace since she saw her. Mercedes asks the Virgencita to illuminate her to so she can get near her. Mercedes says that she puts her pain as a mother in the Virgencita's hands because only the Virgencita can understand her. She prays some more asking to be illuminated and for the Virgencita to have compassion of her pain. She asks the Virgencita for help. She does not want to lose the hope that she has in her heart.
Antigua, Veracruz
Marina tells Hernan that she does not know how she let him convince her to come to Antigua. I want to know too but sadly we may never find out thanks to Uni's scissors. Anyway, Marina asks when they will be seeing some Teniete. Hernan says before lunch. Marina asks how come they came so early then. She could be doing something to find DamFab. Hernan says they came early so Marina could be entertained a little. He says that she will love this historial place. Marina says she is not up for a stroll. Hernan says they can go back home. Marina says there is no point because they would lose too much time on the freeway and besides the La Tempestad probably set sail already. Marina says that her heart tells her that DamFab is alive and needs her. She sometimes feel that he is calling her and says that she can't go be by his side. Hernan says he understands her because the same thing would happen to him if something where to happen to her. Marina apologizes to him for sometimes talking to him not so cordially. She says that he does not desreve it. Umm, yes he does. Marina says that Hernan has been so nice to her. Hernan tells Marina that she can pour her heart out to him. He is there to hear her out. Marina tells Hernan how worried she is. She tells him that she finally found true love. She tells Hernan how much DamFab and she fought to realize that they were in love and when they were able to be together the ocean takes him away from her. Hernan tels Marina that everything will be alright. He will be there to support her. Marina apologizes for being ungrateful. He brought her there to entertain her and she only talks about her problems and her sadness. She comments on how Antigua is a beautiful place. Hernan says thats why he insisted on bringing her there. Awkward shot of them going on a stroll.
At the beach, Jose tells Mercedes about Tia Rebeca's realizing how much Mercedes loves Marina. Jose tells Mercedes that Tia Rebeca asked him about the bond that unites Marina and her. Jose tells Mercedes that he gave Tia Rebeca the most appropriate answer. Jose tells Mercedes that he's sure that Tia Rebeca will keep an eye on her. Mercedes thanks him for having warned her. She says that she will try to be more prudent when she's around Marina although it will be hard because when she is around Marina she wants to hug and kiss her. Mercedes and Jose find a piece of cloth. Mercedes tells Jose that he should take it down to the police station. She won't be going because she doesn't want to run in to Fulgencio.
Part 2
At Fulgencio's house, Mayuya arrives home. Fulgencio asks her where she has been and she is like do you really care where I have been? Fulgencio asks her what she is playing at with him and she's like why I'd never play with you. Toribio arrives and shows them the piece of cloth that was found by Mercedes and Jose by the beach. Delfina shows up and cries when she sees the piece of cloth. Delfina looks all creepy like at Fulgencio and says that PesterEster is dead.
Antigua, Vercruz
Marina apologies for having ruined the outing. Hernan is all sweet with her as usual and says that she did not ruin anything. Marina says that she feels guilty for having gone on the outing. Hernan is like you shouldn't feel guilty. He starts with the crap about her getting used to to the idea that DamFab might not return and that life goes on. Hernan says that if DamFab does not return it is because he has completed his mission in life. Or maybe it is because you made him complete his mission in life, Hernan! Marina doesn't want Hernan to say all those things. She feels that DamFab is DamAlive. Hernan says that he wishes that DamFab were alive but she has to be realisitc. Bastard.
At La Guacamaya, Candy and the crew along with the waitress have a day of silence at the bar. They all talk wonders about DamFab. They have a drink in honor of DamFab.
At Bea's house, Mercedes arrives asking Bea, Tia Rebeca, and Jose if they have any news about DamFab. Tia Rebeca says that Marina went to go and see if there is any news. Mercedes will wait for Marina there and she hopes that Marina will come back with goods new. Just then there is a sound and Jose goes to check what it is.
At the church, Marina prays for DamFab to come back. Padre asks Marina if she's crying because of DamFab. Marina says that yes she is. Marina mentions that the townspeople are talking behind her back. Padre says that the town is small and her coming to live there is the biggest change they have seen in a long time. He says that the people aren't bad. He says that someone must be putting the townspeople against her.
At Beatriz's, it turns out that someone threw a rock through the window with a note. The note reads - Marina is a slut and should leave town. Bea has a nervous breakdown and is taken to the hospital. Mayuya from afar watches this and thoughtbubbles - You have to leave town, Marina. I'll make sure that you leave. PesterEster is dead and if DamFab returns he will be for me. Dream on, Mayuya.
At the hospital, Marina shows up all worried about Bea. Mercedes tells her to calm down. She tells Marina that they brought Mercedes in time to the hospital and Doc Suspenders told them not to worry. Marina says that if she loses her mom she'll die. Mercedes says that they noticed Doc Suspenders was calm although he said that Bea would have to spend the night there. Marina wants to see Bea. Tia Rebeca says that Marina can see her but first she should calm down so Bea doesn't see her like that. Hernan arrives. He says that he went to her house to say goodnight and was told by Doña Rufi what happened. Hernan asks what caused the breakdown. Tia Rebeca says that Bea has been under pressure because of the scare that she had. Marina wants to know what Tia Rebeca is talking about. Jose tells Marina about someone throwing a rock through a window with a note. Mercedes says that it was insult at Marina but to not pay attention to it. Hernan's ears perk up and he asks what insult. Marina changes the subject. She just wants to see her mom. She leaves and Mercedes goes with her.
In Bagre's hospital room, the crew goes to see Bagre and tells him that there is no news about DamFab. Bagre wants to continue searching for DamFab but the crew doesn't let him. Lolo notices the flowers in Bagre's room. Bagre says that Candy brought them. He says that Candy is a good woman.
In the waiting room, Marina thanks Mercedes for having spend the night with her at the hospital with her and taking care of her mother. Mercedes says there is no need to thank her. How could I leave you in a moment when you are so worried? says Mercedes. Marina says that ever since Mercedes came into her life she has been like an angel to her. Marina says that she will never be able to pay Mercedes for all she has done. Thanks to Mercedes, Marina came to live in R-Laydee and she met DamFab. Mercedes doesn't want Marina to be shattered and to not pay any attnetion to what others say. She says that she tells her all of this out of experience. Marina says that Mercedes is right. She says that loves DamFab and nothing will make her more happy than to share her life with him. Marina says that she cares about her mother's opinion. She says that her mother is against her relationship with DamFab. She says that her mother would like her to be with Hernan and she doesn't want to. Mercedes says that she knows and she feels that Marina is very much in love with DamFab. Just then Hernan shows up asking how Bea is. Marina says that she is doing better. Hernan introduces himself to Mercedes. Marina introduces Hernan as the new associate. Jose shows up bringing the results of the divers that Mercedes hired. Jose says that the results say that the sailboat suffered an explosion and that the explosion was on purpose. An explosion? Are you sure? asks Hernan. Jose says yes.
At Fulgencio's house, Fulgencio and Delfina find out that explosion that the sailboat suffered was on purpose. Toribio tells them that there cannot be an error in what the result of the divers say. Fulgencio wonders why anyone would want to harm PesterEster. He doesn't think that it is true that the explosion was on purpose. Delfina tells him that if someone harmed PesterEster it was because of his sins! Because of his abuses against people in need! Because he never loved PesterEster, and treated her badly, and because he was always wishing her dead. Fulgencio tells Delfina not to say all that. Delfina blames Fulgencio. She says that because of his ambition of power he has made so many enemies. Fulgencio has this warped thinking that everyone in town respects him except for maybe DamFab, Padre, and Rosario. I'm sure there are other people who don't respect him. Delfina tells him that everyone is just afraid of him and that he has never won their respect. She says that whoever blew up the sailboat hated him. She says that everyone hates Fulgencio. She tells him that he killed PesterEster. Fulgencio just wants her to shut it already. He eventually leaves the room and Delfina yells out that he's a murderer.
Back at the hospital, Marina wonders who could have harmed DamFab and PesterEster. You are looking at that person, Marina! Hernan thinks that there must be some mistake. Jose says that there is no mistake and that the divers found residue of explosives on the sailboat. There is no doubt someone wanted to kill DamFab and PesterEster, says Jose.
At Fulgencio's, Fulgencio says that it is not his fault that PesterEster is dead. He says that he has always been a good father. Ummm you weren't. He gulps down a drink and realizes something. He throws his glass and leaves.
At the plaza, the crew see a mob that has gathered. Someone tells the townspeople that the explosion of the sailboat happened on purpose.
At Hernan's pad, he's outside and Fulgencio arrives. Fulgencio grabs him by the lapels and punches him out. He accuses Hernan of having murdered PesterEster. He says that he will kill Hernan. Go Fulgencio! Fulgencio is grabbed by some of Hernan's bodyguards.
At the hospital, Marina says that spoke with Doc Suspenders and found out that Bea is not getting better. The tumor is growing. She doesn't know what she is going to do. Mercedes comforts her. Mercedes hugs Marina. She tells Marina that her mother will never abandon her. Never.
Avances: DamFab returns in the middle of a mass in his honor and Marina runs over to him and they hug. Hernan and Fulgencio see that DamFab is alive. Hernan wants DamFab dead that very night. DamFab faints.

At Bea's house, Mercedes arrives asking Bea, Tia Rebeca, and Jose if they have any news about DamFab. Tia Rebeca says that Marina went to go and see if there is any news. Mercedes will wait for Marina there and she hopes that Marina will come back with goods new. Just then there is a sound and Jose goes to check what it is.
At the church, Marina prays for DamFab to come back. Padre asks Marina if she's crying because of DamFab. Marina says that yes she is. Marina mentions that the townspeople are talking behind her back. Padre says that the town is small and her coming to live there is the biggest change they have seen in a long time. He says that the people aren't bad. He says that someone must be putting the townspeople against her.
At Beatriz's, it turns out that someone threw a rock through the window with a note. The note reads - Marina is a slut and should leave town. Bea has a nervous breakdown and is taken to the hospital. Mayuya from afar watches this and thoughtbubbles - You have to leave town, Marina. I'll make sure that you leave. PesterEster is dead and if DamFab returns he will be for me. Dream on, Mayuya.
At the hospital, Marina shows up all worried about Bea. Mercedes tells her to calm down. She tells Marina that they brought Mercedes in time to the hospital and Doc Suspenders told them not to worry. Marina says that if she loses her mom she'll die. Mercedes says that they noticed Doc Suspenders was calm although he said that Bea would have to spend the night there. Marina wants to see Bea. Tia Rebeca says that Marina can see her but first she should calm down so Bea doesn't see her like that. Hernan arrives. He says that he went to her house to say goodnight and was told by Doña Rufi what happened. Hernan asks what caused the breakdown. Tia Rebeca says that Bea has been under pressure because of the scare that she had. Marina wants to know what Tia Rebeca is talking about. Jose tells Marina about someone throwing a rock through a window with a note. Mercedes says that it was insult at Marina but to not pay attention to it. Hernan's ears perk up and he asks what insult. Marina changes the subject. She just wants to see her mom. She leaves and Mercedes goes with her.
In Bagre's hospital room, the crew goes to see Bagre and tells him that there is no news about DamFab. Bagre wants to continue searching for DamFab but the crew doesn't let him. Lolo notices the flowers in Bagre's room. Bagre says that Candy brought them. He says that Candy is a good woman.
In the waiting room, Marina thanks Mercedes for having spend the night with her at the hospital with her and taking care of her mother. Mercedes says there is no need to thank her. How could I leave you in a moment when you are so worried? says Mercedes. Marina says that ever since Mercedes came into her life she has been like an angel to her. Marina says that she will never be able to pay Mercedes for all she has done. Thanks to Mercedes, Marina came to live in R-Laydee and she met DamFab. Mercedes doesn't want Marina to be shattered and to not pay any attnetion to what others say. She says that she tells her all of this out of experience. Marina says that Mercedes is right. She says that loves DamFab and nothing will make her more happy than to share her life with him. Marina says that she cares about her mother's opinion. She says that her mother is against her relationship with DamFab. She says that her mother would like her to be with Hernan and she doesn't want to. Mercedes says that she knows and she feels that Marina is very much in love with DamFab. Just then Hernan shows up asking how Bea is. Marina says that she is doing better. Hernan introduces himself to Mercedes. Marina introduces Hernan as the new associate. Jose shows up bringing the results of the divers that Mercedes hired. Jose says that the results say that the sailboat suffered an explosion and that the explosion was on purpose. An explosion? Are you sure? asks Hernan. Jose says yes.
At Fulgencio's house, Fulgencio and Delfina find out that explosion that the sailboat suffered was on purpose. Toribio tells them that there cannot be an error in what the result of the divers say. Fulgencio wonders why anyone would want to harm PesterEster. He doesn't think that it is true that the explosion was on purpose. Delfina tells him that if someone harmed PesterEster it was because of his sins! Because of his abuses against people in need! Because he never loved PesterEster, and treated her badly, and because he was always wishing her dead. Fulgencio tells Delfina not to say all that. Delfina blames Fulgencio. She says that because of his ambition of power he has made so many enemies. Fulgencio has this warped thinking that everyone in town respects him except for maybe DamFab, Padre, and Rosario. I'm sure there are other people who don't respect him. Delfina tells him that everyone is just afraid of him and that he has never won their respect. She says that whoever blew up the sailboat hated him. She says that everyone hates Fulgencio. She tells him that he killed PesterEster. Fulgencio just wants her to shut it already. He eventually leaves the room and Delfina yells out that he's a murderer.
Back at the hospital, Marina wonders who could have harmed DamFab and PesterEster. You are looking at that person, Marina! Hernan thinks that there must be some mistake. Jose says that there is no mistake and that the divers found residue of explosives on the sailboat. There is no doubt someone wanted to kill DamFab and PesterEster, says Jose.
At Fulgencio's, Fulgencio says that it is not his fault that PesterEster is dead. He says that he has always been a good father. Ummm you weren't. He gulps down a drink and realizes something. He throws his glass and leaves.
At the plaza, the crew see a mob that has gathered. Someone tells the townspeople that the explosion of the sailboat happened on purpose.
At Hernan's pad, he's outside and Fulgencio arrives. Fulgencio grabs him by the lapels and punches him out. He accuses Hernan of having murdered PesterEster. He says that he will kill Hernan. Go Fulgencio! Fulgencio is grabbed by some of Hernan's bodyguards.
At the hospital, Marina says that spoke with Doc Suspenders and found out that Bea is not getting better. The tumor is growing. She doesn't know what she is going to do. Mercedes comforts her. Mercedes hugs Marina. She tells Marina that her mother will never abandon her. Never.
Avances: DamFab returns in the middle of a mass in his honor and Marina runs over to him and they hug. Hernan and Fulgencio see that DamFab is alive. Hernan wants DamFab dead that very night. DamFab faints.

Well, that explains it. Thanks Mauricio for a great recap and trying to piece this episode together. I wondered why the sudden jumps or disconnects. What could possibly be end game with Uni--gees the show just started and already they are pulling the "let's play scissors" game.
Hernan--you know, it's really a smooth, demented villain. I'm rather enjoying this portrayal. I like when an actor just goes there with playing a character like this...just the right touch of menace. Throw in he's pretty and you have gold. But I wish he could lose Don Johnson's old Miami Vice wardrobe.
Really want to know what the deal was with those doves. Behaved very well...must have taken lessons from our Uni mice division.
Looking forward to Part 2!!

I knew that must have been the case! I haven't read the recap yet, just your sentence about the combined and chopped up episode. I knew last night's episode felt disjointed. We better not have missed any Becky and Jose scenes!
Mauricio: "(too bad we can't get a search for the scenes that were butchered by Uni)" said it all. Your recap was splendid. I don't know how you made this mishmash of an episode coherent but you did so in fine style.
Loved "his not so DamManly Musucular arms" and "At Fulgencio's, Fulgencio is having his own Tempestad at home". Great lines along with many others.
Jeers to Uni to hacking this to shreds. Cannot fathom whatever would have made Marina go to Antigua in the midst of trying to find Damian. I was totally thrown off (a not uncommon occurrence for me), but appararantly there was no explanation for us to see.

Thanks Mauricio for this first part of the recap, I was so confused last night, they started the episode some undisclosed time before the hour, and I knew I had missed a lot. Then all of a sudden Marina is in Antigua, and ? I couldn't figure out how she got there or why.
I judge from the previews we are not done with DamFab, I am thinking perhaps Estercita will turn, up too. Too many scenes in the lead ins showing her wearing cloths we haven't seen yet.

If Uni decides to keep up this chop game like they did for most of QBA, I will be very angry. One of the reasons is because I'm sure any Becky-Jose developments would end up on the chopping room floor.

Vivi-I am wondering if Uni is cutting scenes because they want to get it done more quickly in light of the poor ratings Tempestad got in Mexico. I think this story is likely doing better in the US-it is certainly at least as entertaining as many of the stories they have had.

thanks, Mauricio. Like everyone else, even though I understood only some words here and there, I realized something odd had happened here. I, too , couldn't figure out why Marina seemed so calm even though the search for her onetruelove DamLost seemed to have ended after that one night where they ended one rescuing the one guy from the cruel sea. What? What? Que? I did not realize that she went to Antigua. (I have always wanted to go there because a former student owns a store there , and he used to always encourage me to vacation there. My sister went there on a cruise and he gave her a tour of the island.)
I have always thought that mayday was going to try to seduce Ful-of-Himselfio. Did you notice her slink out of the room when :delfina was berating Fully?
I loved watching Adonis stagger from the sea at exactly the part of the beach where his memorial service was happening.

Susanlynn- Marina and Hernan didn't go to Antigua the island. They went to Antigua (Old Town) Veracruz. It was odd enough that she took that little day trip, although there was some hint that Hernan lured her there with the promise of meeting with someone to help find Dam (cutting room floor). It would have been downright cold had she actually decided to take a little vaca to the islands, while everyone searched for Dam.

About the doves and Teresa of (Jesus) Avila. She was a great mystic that had visions. She is a saint in the Catholic Church. The doves represent the Holy Spirit. It didn't surprise me that doves were on Madre Eusebia or that they likened her to Teresa of Avila. It fits her character. Meija has used doves like this before in "Corazon Salvaje 2009" They represented the souls of Maria del Rosario and Juan de Dios.
I too was surprised by Fully's reaction on hearing about Pester. I think he is feeling a tiny bit guilty. I just knew Delfina would react that way. As far as MayDay went (thanks Susanlynn) she has always had a thing for DamDelicious so it's no wonder she would try to drive Marina out of town. Mauricio, you have done a masterful job. You actually managed to make sense of the chaos of this cut and splice job of an episode. I was glad that there was one transition that appeared intact:
Scene A: Bagre dives impulsively into the stormy sea. DamFab would have done the same for him.
Cut to Scene B: Hernan jumps giddily into his "water feature" and then he and Valdivia giggle about PesterDam's demise.
I agree, Mauricio: it WAS the most repulsive scene of the night.
But looking on the bright side...
I'm glad that DamFab was only MIA for one episode. There are some great subplots that add spice to the proceedings. But we all know that Capitán DamFab is the main course, right?
Besides, there is so much repetition in telenovelas that if you missed the first exposition of a significant plot thread, you are sure to hear about again. And again. And again. (If you don't, it's because the writers decided to abandon it and move on, in which case, you are probably better off not having heard about it in the first place.)
We'll just have to see what happens in the next few days and hope that Uni is not going to make a happen of episode-squishing.

Boy, do I agree on we better not have missed the Becky/Jose scenes. And Tia looked rather quirky/cute in those short shorts and heels. If they were going to play with the scissors last night, I could have done with a few less screeching scenes with Delfina. I mean, I get it and she is deservedly upset, but one or two was enough.
The odd fact though is that a good portion of four episodes is laying on the cutting room floor. That's almost three hours worth...that much searching, or maybe we got a glimpse of what happened to Pester and they are letting us be "Surprised".

It is sad that uni decided to cut the episodes. I hope this will not happen for future episodes. I heard that La Tempestad didn't do as well as expected, so perhaps that is why they decided to cut it. I have the links to the four original episodes if anyone is interested.

I haven't seen every episode - didn't know that Fully had wished Estercita dead - but I always thought he loved Estercita even though she got on his last nerve and he's a self-centered SOB. So I was surprised to see Delfina go off on him so badly. I felt sorry for him, till I remembered the human trafficking.
Normally I'd have no problem with the DamFab-Marina flashbacks, but why would Uni keep them in favor of editing out new stuff?

While I know most people would love to see what was missing, the problem is that UNI does unique cutting. I remember when I recapped Refugio, a recapper included what she had seen online and the next two epi's UNI aired contained those cut scenes. So please don't give out the link to those epi's. Thanks.

The bigger problem is that Uni trolls this site and others to find links to sites with videos of the shows. Then they get to work shutting down access to those videos. So it's better not to share links to current/ongoing shows publicly on this site.
Diana and Shallowgal, thank you for calming down my nerve. If "they were no good without hot Cap DamFab", then I don't mind .
My Mexicana roommate also confirms that the rating were low during these 3 episodes without the Capitain .That why Uni cut them.

I have fallen for Laura Carmine's portrayal of Ester. I will be so sad if she is DOA. Daisynjay: ITA! I had made up in my mind that Ester could be redeemed and that Mayuya was going to be the real bad guy.
I can't decide if Fully loves Ester or not. He seems to feel some guilt but that is not love. He says he has no where to stay so he has moved into the guest room? With his money he could probably BUY a hotel or guesthouse in Vercruz, however Delfina may have the real deep pockets here. We know she was a rich heiress when Fully dumped Rosy for her some 18-20 years ago.

I so love your recaps! Your attention to detail is great. I loved your comment about Fully already breaking the Padres wishes about staying out of the church. Great call! Also, I applaud your quick perception to figure out what Uni had done. I would have just assumed it was a wacky TN storyline or lack of continuity.
When you break up with a guy or tell him you aren't that into him, don't you usually give the guy space? Marina and Hernan have been inseparable since she told him she loves Dam. And I hate how Hernan always touches her. In the hospital he did the "hand on the face, push the hair away" thing which, I think, is very intimate. Not sure how Marina can bear it.
