Qué Bonito Amor #115 (Mex 153) Monday 9/23/13 Forgiveness
Coqueteabas mi vida
Qué será a mis espaldas
Y yo preso por ti
Unos guardias me han dicho
Que ya tú andas perdida
Y que ya ni te acuerdas
Lo que hiciste de mí
Qué rumbo tomaste mi vida
Qué puerta a tu paso se abrió
Qué luna te espera angustiada
Oyendo tu nombre, oyendo tu voz
Qué labios te cierran los ojos
Los ojos que a besos cerré
Aurorars que son puñaladas
Las rejas no matan
Pero si tu maldito querer
al despertar la mañana
quiere cantar su alegría
a mi tierra mexicana
Yo le canto a sus volcanes
a sus praderas y flores
que son como talismanes
del amor de mis amores
México Lindo y Querido
si muero lejos de ti
que digan que estoy dormido
y que me traigan aquí
Que digan que estoy dormido
y que me traigan aquí
México Lindo y Querido
si muero lejos de ti
Que me entierren en la sierra
al pie de los magueyales
y que me cubra esta tierra
que es cuna de hombres cabales
Voz de la guitarra mía,
al despertar la mañana
quiere cantar su alegría
a mi tierra mexicana
México Lindo y Querido
si muero lejos de ti
que digan que estoy dormido
y que me traigan aquí
Que digan que estoy dormido
y que me traigan aquí
México Lindo y Querido
si muero lejos de ti

Fernando Jr. is going to be pithed when he finds out Ms. Social Worker went back on her word and sent Vicente Jalisquito away.
Throughout all the eviction commotion, Amalia's dog looked bored and over it.
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the (cell) block party in the prison.
I got home shortly before midnight after freezing on Lincoln Center Plaza. There was no real excitement during the arrivals; didn't see anyone famous, but I bet there were a lot of wannabes in that group.
The performance was beautiful and the main cast members came out on the second level to take a curtain call in front of the outdoor audience as well.
Hosting the event was Alice Coote, who will be in the new production Two Boys, which starts in October, and Nico Muhly, the composer. He is only 31 years old. I'm not seeing this production, but may see it somewhere down the road if it's a success.
Now, about the episode:
I refuse to believe that it's that easy to evict anyone from a building, especially with the history of this neighborhood.
Carl Summer's personal vendetta against Justo will not sit will with his superiors and is also permitting corruption on his own part. Particularly since the evidence against Santos is so flimsy.
I think Justo pulled strings to make the prison yard party happen.
Will we eventually see Aaron turning on Vainessa? I'd like to.
I enjoyed the meetup between Fernando Sr. and Jr. Nice job by Arturo Peniche. Santos and Maria butting in gently when needed seemed realistic. I guess the mother put Jr. in an orphanage so he would be guaranteed some food and a roof over his head. It doesn't sound like she cut him out of her life.
Laugh about the prop dog. In reality the dog is Angelica's and seems to be her lucky charm and it's very well behaved.
I too was glad to see that Coloso has finally stopped acting like a jackass. Loved the prison block party and a mariachi competition is a clever idea as the excuse for them all going to the prison. There is a huge Mariachi festival every year where I live so the idea is plausible.
I can't help wondering how it is that these poor people always seem to have some vacant place for somebody to stay. They found a place for Wendy and who knows how many other people were heaved out onto the street by the Redneck and Evile. Or did they only target Maria and Susantio.
Some clarification that doesn't matter in the least--but, for clarity's sake...Aaron wasn't offering Paloma a place to stay, he was offering an unused storage locker to put the furniture. In that instance I thought Aaron, despite his earlier deviousness, is a better match for weepy Paloma than weepy Roddy.
It seemed that only the Mendoza's stuff was carried out to the street. I thought it was funny how all those big guys clearing out the apartment, after picking up the couch and a table, concentrated on the phonograph and framed photos. One of them looked in the kitchen and kinda shook his head.
I didn't think Jalisquito was trying to leave--he was being forced to get in the van to take him to the other orphanage wherever it was he came from. Nothing the poor little guy said moved her. She kept insisting that he would make new friends and would be happy there--cold as ice, she was. Same end result, she went back on her word.
Loved the whole prison scene. Kudos to Arturo--he did a great job with both personalities.
How did these guys get all that food through TSA, unless they checked their precious instruments. I think it was Tostitos and sauce that he took out.
So, Justo is back in LA, just(o) in time for the trial. The Prosecutor is under the influence of OJ. So we'll see how this one goes.
We have another kangaroo court going on over in LaTemp which is a scream because they DO have witnesses swearing on the Bible to tell the truth, cross-examination (sort of) and a full house of jurors--in a capital crime, two days after our hero was arrested. Carolina--if you are watching that one, I'm sure your justice system beanie is on tight.
I still don't get Summer's vendetta againt justo and his family and a 100 percent conviction rate isn't close to accurate. DA's with convictions in the 95% range are considered stars and our corrupt friend is full of himself.
ANITA I also had a flash that Aaron might be a beter fit for weepy P than weepy R. I'm really curious to see what will happen when everybody shows up at the Mendoza hovel and noothing is there.
ELI I've always like Arturo P. Check him out in Alborada in the scene where he talks about having been sexually abused as a child. Riveting.
El Jalisquito will be back; why else would we have had so much invested in him at this point?
I am concerned, however, about Don Nando possibly becoming the story's sacrificial lamb.
Brag of the day: This afternoon I went to the Met Opera shop to purchase a CD to be signed, so I got to meet Placido Domingo! He's very charming.
Some Odds 'n Ends:
Arturo Peniche. I wish I could meet this actor. I wonder if he does legitimate theatre in Mexico? I think he would be a natural.
Coloso's sombrero had a beautiful gold braid. Really stunning.
Maria's sombrero was equally stunning, but in a feminine way.
I've never quite understood the placement of that eagle on the white dress. Is that standard?
Justo, the actor, has a beautiful speaking voice.
Justo and Summers both have beautiful grey hair.
Danna Garcia really doesn't need the filler on the upper lip. It's not over the top like a fish mouth, but she doesn't need it.
I have enjoyed the theme of "finding oneself" in this TN. How far does one have to go and how much does one have to suffer in order to truly know and find oneself?
JA and Mil Amores have certainly found their way to who they are.
I don't see how, at this late stage, that there is any good reason for Justo and Amalia to end up. There has been no real "knowing" about what they would even mean to each other. So, if they get together in the end, it would be pretty phony.
Lastly, Arturo Peniche. How many mores times can I say it? Mr. Peniche, I have no idea if any of you actors read our friendly blog, but I send you my deepest admiration for your acting.
Fatima
Tell me, is his speaking voice as beautiful as his singing voice?!
Yes. I have a "thing" for men with beautiful speaking voices. :))
Fatima
I will be seeing him on the Met stage this spring when he plays Neptune in The Enchanted Island.
No, I haven't been keeping up with La T, and I am not even sure what DamFab is on trial for. Is is for killing the Pester Ester?
