Corazon Indomable #132, The search continues.

MC tells Solita that Nilda is her mother. Solita doesn't seem to understand, MC then repeats it to Perico as if he wasn't standing right there when she said it and acts like he just heard it for the first time too. They all leave Solita alone with Nilda to not talk. Nilda cries and Solita wonders what is going on. I have a halloween wig that looks just like Nilda's hair.

Octavio is searching for the missing baby.

Nilda does some rudimentary charades trying to get Solita to understand who she is. Then goes into an explanation of how she left her and is so sorry blah blah blah. Solita acts like she understands and they hug.

Miguel comes home and wants lunch. He learns that the baby is gone. Awfulia fills him in on all the details and he runs up stairs.

Nilda is now pleading with MC to end Solita's pregnancy and marriage. Nilda has a fortune and I guess she wants her to marry a more upstanding guy, and the pregnancy could kill her.  MC says that killing the baby is a crime, and leaving Perico will kill her, and she can't think that coming in with all her money that she can just throw her weight around to get what she wants.  Nilda says that now that she found her daughter, she will not let her have the baby if it means that it will kill Solita. Nilda wants Solita with her now that she found her and not with Perico. I Know, this is so stupid, it makes my brain hurt.

Octavio continues his search for Octavito. Why hasn't he rounded up all the ranch hands and town folk to help look? This is also hurting my brain.

Nilda isn't done yet. She sacrificed so much to get all that money, men are selfish and only care about themselves, unlike Nilda who married a man for his money, and if Perico stayed in the picture, he will want to have a say in what happens to Solita. And besides, he's worthless. Ouch, my brain! Nilda wants to take Solita away from here and Perico. MC argues that when Solita and Perico were apart, Solita quit eating and almost died. MC brought these puppets back together so that Solita would eat again. And like puppets, they did what she wanted them to. How old is Solita now? She was 14 when she had unnamed baby, she must be at least 17 now. Can her mother force her to go with her? Oh wait, now MC wants her to take her because she's uncertain about what will happen to the ranch and what she will do, and having Solita out of her hair will make things less complicated. It's so easy to do what you want with puppets. Nilda will take her to a clinic. So just send Solita off with a woman she doesn't know and everything will be fine. She's a puppet after all and since Solita can't talk or hear, she won't feel either.

Perico comes to see Solita in her room. He insists that they won't separate them. Solita is confused.

Nilda still isn't done. She wants to give Solita the love only money can give. Take her away and have an abortion. Children only get in the way of that. MC says she respects her opinion, Really? But she asks if Nilda ever loved someone with all their heart. No, she's only despised men and has no need for them. Solita will in time forget Perico and the baby she's carrying because of all the money she has. I now have a splitting headache.

One cell thought bubbles the possibility that MC could have taken the baby for revenge. Thankfully, he fires that second brain cell and decides it must have been his mentally ill wife instead.

Miguel comes into Simona's bedroom to have a talk. He confronts her on her "crazy" act. She assures him that she's not crazy, she just knows that they want to lock her up in an institution, and she won't go. So acting crazy to avoid getting institutionalized makes no sense, which makes perfect sense for this show, and then she kicks him out. Octavio arrives to talk to Simona but she's locked the door. Miguel has a bright idea to get her to open the door. He will give the baby to Lucia if she tells them where the baby is. She promptly opens the door but says she knows nothing of the baby and slams the door again. Miguel gets the bright idea that it may have been MC who took the baby. He wants to go over the her house to look for the baby.

And more Nilda. MC tells her that since she's the mother, she must know what's best for her daughter. Hahaha. Nilda says that in time, MC will realize that Nilda is correct. Nilda offers everything she has to MC to repay her for taking care of Solita, but MC turns her down.

Perico tells deaf Solita that her mother wants to take her away and separate them, he makes up for Solita's lack of hearing with his superman hearing. Somehow he heard Nilda and MC's conversation in the office from all the way upstairs in Solita's bedroom. He realizes that no one knows they were secretly married, and he's going to get the priest to tell him what to do.

MC confides in Alvaro. He states the obvious that she can't separate Perico and Solita, he loves her too much. MC says that while that may be true now, he's a man after all and he can soon find someone else to love. Alvaro tries to convince her that men aren't like that but she just rolls her eyes. And besides, Solita's mother wants to take her and she gets to do what she wants now. MC has to let her. A mother's love trumps everything. Ouch ouch ouch, brain pain. Alvaro is going to try to talk some sense into Nilda and convince her that she's wrong. Nilda can't just take her and terminate the pregnancy. Perico wouldn't put up with that. Apparently, Nilda will offer Perico a large sum of money to leave. Alvaro can't believe what he's hearing. He asks MC what would she do in Nilda's situation, and she says she would probably do exactly the same thing. Mothers will do anything for their children. Alvaro looks at her like she just grew a third eye. Alvaro, run away fast. If this doesn't tell you what kind of woman you want to marry, then you are as clueless as the rest of these characters.

Perico runs into the accountant guy to tell him he's looking for the padre to marry them quickly because her mother wants to take Solita away. He says what everyone else says, she's her mother so she has every right to do that. Perico tells him that they actually got civilly married, and he wants the padre to marry them in the church right away, but oh yeah, don't tell anyone.

Miguel and one cell continue. Miguel tries to convinces him that he should get a search warrant to search MC's entire house for the baby. I can't believe there is still 15 more minutes of this show left to recap.

Natasha tells Nana that they are leaving the ranch. But she promises if her painting wins the award, she will give all the money to the padre for the poors.

Alvaro finds the padre to tell him that he needs to stop Nilda from terminating Solita's pregnancy, and that she wants to separate her from Perico. Padre is down with the termination, but up with the separation. But if Perico isn't married to Solita, apparently men have no rights with regard to mothers forcing abortions on their grown daughters in Mexico. Alvaro thinks they should elope, the padre says that if they are married in the church and in civil court, then that will save the baby.

The NEXT morning, one cell complains that he didn't sleep much, since he's worried about the missing baby. Miguel reminds him to search MC's ranch, but One cell says he talked to a ranch hand over there who says that the baby isn't there. So this baby has been missing for a day with no food and no diaper change and no police have been involved with trying to find him. My brain is about ready to explode now. Finally, Octavio decides that maybe it's a good idea to call the police. Ugh.

Instead of going to the police, Octavio continues to look for the baby on horseback. Meanwhile, the eviction process has started on Rancho Abuelo. 7 minutes left.

Santa tells MC about the eviction starting. They want to do it before the court hearing about it.

Octavio arrives home and pours himself a stiff drink. Miguel comes in and gleefully tells him the good news, the eviction has started. Octavio is sad about that and leaves to continue his search. A man comes up to him with the baby in his arms. The baby looks fine. The end. Thank god!

LOL Cathyx! My brain was hurting too. Between Nilda's decision to force an abortion and separation from her man on Solita, and Tav's lazy search for his INFANT son, I think I needed a double shot of tequila when it was done. Just, WOW!

@CathyX, you hit a home run. Your recap was great. I especially loved this: "Nilda still isn't done. She wants to give Solita the love only money can give." And of course, all your "brain pain" references were very fitting. (I hate to tell you this, but you and Viewerville are in for A LOT more pain soon. A LOT. Just wait until it's your turn again to recap. No spoiler, since plenty of others have mentioned how much WORSE C.I. is going to get.) I expect many "que ques?!!!" and "WTFs!!!" soon.

Oh, no Latina. But actually, now that I think about it, this show getting worse will only make it better.

I laughed out loud when Alvaro told Padre about Nilda's intention to abort Solita's pregnancy and he became enraged. Then Alvaro told him about Nilda's intention to get rid of Perico, and he shrugged his shoulders and said he was totally ok with that. Ha!

Poor Alvaro looked like he had just realized that he was hanging out with crazy people.

cathyx, this is a brilliant recap. Though at face value it sounds so straight forward and informative but anyone who has been watching this realizes how brilliantly and wickedly funny this is. My favorite line (one of those... wish I'd said that things):

"She wants to give Solita the love only money can give."

and then of course:

"I can't believe there is still 15 more minutes of this show left to recap.

7 minutes left.

The end. Thank god!?"

Well done, my dear.

Carlos

Thanks for your very entertaining and direct recap.

So, where was the baby anyway? Inside? Outside? Octavio didn't seem to care?

The funniest part was when Padre Julian literally let his bike fall when he heard about Nilda's wish to terminate Solita's preganancy.

Well, at least the plot is advancing because we know Maricruz is going to be forced of her ranch soon.

Jarifa

OH NOOOOOOO!!!! The eviction process has started for Rancho Abuelo. Is there no hope to save the rancho?

Thank you Cathyx---Sorry your brain is hurting, mine isn't. I will be front and center with GREAT anticipation hoping to see if some loophole in the law can be found to save Rancho Abuelo. There must be a way. Tear down $imona's rancho, not Mari's.

Nilda is really something but I can see where she is coming from.
Nilda is thinking about her own desires, not Solita's. An operation to give Solita hearing yes but marrying a nobody, no. An abortion? I guess that Nilda is not a good catholic. The padre will never go for that.

Vivi said that the padre didn't stand up for Perico---I guess that this poor sap doesn't have very many people in his corner.

I can't wait to tune into the Complainer's Hour each and every day. You guys are cracking me up.
Your whining and complaining is more fun than Laugh In. I can't wait for tonight and tomorrow is another day for fun comments. Why watch the Comedy Hour when you can go to Caray, Caray?
The tequila companies are seeing a huge increase in sales.

Great recap.

How much more crap are they going to dump on us?

Can't believe this Nilda character. Think maybe she should move in with the Nav brothers. She could leave Solita alone and go fix Simona.

Long time ago there was a reference to the Naverez ranch and possibly others that would be taken for gold mining. What will happen to poor Mig if they take La Somona?

Solita was 14 when she had Bebe Nameless ???? Wow. What an old looking teen .

So the show gets worse ...really ??? Worse than it already is ? Is that even possible ?

P.s.Has anyone spotted the monkey lately ? Maybe Jackass made unwanted advances , and the monkey decided to leave this ship of fools.

Gringo -- I love your take on things. I look forward to your comments as well as the recaps. If I didn't like CI, I wouldn't record it each night.

P. S. Gingo, I always loved your fashion comments. Any remarks about Nilda's pants suit? I would like to have one just like it. A little 80's perhaps, but pretty none the less

thanks, Cathyx, for taking one for the team and recapping this meaningful episode. Did you wear the Nilda (Elvira???) wig for Halloween ?

Cathyx:

Thanks for this most marvelous recap! I don't blame your brain for hurting! Who wouldn't have a massive migrane after this mess.

I am so glad someone finally found little Octaviocito. Not like DEADTOMETAV searched for the poor bebe day and night until he found him. Can't believe he actually went to bed and slept while that poor bebe was out in the elements. Some good Papa he is.

I want GreedyMigi to be hung by his own petard. I think Rancho Simona will run out of funds tout suite. Guess DEADTOMETAV forgot about the mismanagement of his own ranch the first time around.

Simona has finally gone round the bend. I really think she isn't faking anymore. She never would have taken her bebe out in the elements that way. DEADTOMETAV should have hired an experienced nurse for her, not Ofelia.

Surprised that MC would let Solita go with Nilda and what Nilda plans to do. Wait till they find out that Perrico and Solita are married civilly.

Vivi and Jardinera:

Thanks so much for your marvelous recaps also. Loved your Ren and Stimpy theme Vivi and loved your snark Jardinera. Thanks so much!

Gringo- Since Gabi's (Solita) mole is real, I don't think we'll see mole removal be part of her makeover (if she ever gets one). Plus, I'd be afraid to remove the mole, seeing how the last person who lost their mole turned crazy afterwards!

I don't think Simona was ever faking being crazy. She has moments of lucidity, which are less frequent.

Susanlynn- I'm guessing since she would have to both do a strong rape scene, and have a time jump to her late teens, they hired someone in her late teens (Gabi was 19 when they began filming) instead of a 14 year old actress.

Vivi...gee, I thought the actress was older..in her mid 20s. I am never good at guessing anyone's age on screen or in person. I often think that my students are either older or younger than they are.

Vivi---If I were Gabi, I would be on my way to a Dermatologist. I'm sure that it wouldn't cost much and would do wonders for her. I did it a long time ago and I'm glad that I did.

Emeraldrose. I'm glad that you like my comments. I'm not trying to be funny when I write them, I'm just being myself.
Pantsuit---I'm sorry, I didn't notice it but will pay better attention from now on. If you like pantsuits just watch Hillary.
I think that pantsuits are all that she has in her closet.

Is $imona really dead or did she just faint for some reason? What happened to $imona? Must see TV.
7:00 please hurry!

@Susanlynn - Re: your three questions - "So the show gets worse ...really ??? Worse than it already is ? Is that even possible ?"

Here's my answer: YES, YES & YES. You'll be asking yourself if you are actually watching C.I.

@Gringo - if you recall, I used to defend C.I. quite a bit for much of the first 80 hours, despite the writing and editing flaws. That didn't matter to me, because I very much liked Maricruz/MariAle and Ana Brenda's acting. The reason I have absolutely hated it since about the 100th episode is that the monkey writers completely changed the essence of MC's character. I wouldn't have cared how silly the plot got, if only MC retained her essence. They killed off SuperMari and replaced her with a woman as oblivious as Octavio. She was not this way in either La Venganza or Marimar, and there was no need for them to so ruin this character. (Also, in the two previous versions the Octavio character did not sink to the low point of kidnapping his own daughter - twice!!!) On top of all this, they pretty much replaced Maricruz with Simona as the main character. For several weeks now it's all been about Simona, Simona, Simona. MC right now is practicallya secondary character.

Cathyx, your recap was great--both entertaining and painful, sorta like our TN.

Nilda doesn't have a very strong position, since she abandoned Solita for many years. Money won't guarantee happiness, although I'm not sure Perrico is a sure thing, either.

Loved seeing Padre Julian drop his bike in astonishment.

LatinainMD---I would like to see Super Mari again also. Maybe as the show moves on the fighting Mari will return. As for $imona, if the advances are correct, maybe we have seen the last of her. However, if she is gone with several episodes left, who will fill her shoes as the villain?
Miguel?
the gringo

LatinaInMD, thanks, that you answered the questions, that I always forgot to ask. So in La Venganza Octavio didn't kidnap a child. I was sure that it's all about Romero and his poor writing.
And yes, for weeks it was all about Simona. I realy cant understand, why they separated lead pair for so long period of time. Why they spoilt all the good characters in this show. And what the worse, this novela has awful message for now. All villains got what they want and MC got poor helping the people. So I should think, that it is better not to help or what? That is better to be a bad person? What is the message?
Romero was good only in doing this show worse.
Alegria

Does anyone know who is signing Nilda's theme song. The 'basso' sections are hilarious. Translation anyone? Love it, although the character is annoying.

I meant singing not 'signing' !

Anon- The song is "Por que no estas aqui" by Alejandra Guzmán. You can hear and see the lyrics here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xm6UU84ZRb4

I'd never heard Alejandra Guzman before. She has a horrible voice.

Well, you gotta admire Nilda's chutzpa. She waltzes right in and starts calling the shots. She still hasn't even asked to see her grandson or even asked his name.

I loved Padre Julián's reaction, abortion? ... no frickin' way, get rid of Perico?... now that might be negotiable.

What has happened to the strong willed defiant Maricruz we once knew? She's going to allow herself to be bullied by this cow? Poor Abelardo may have gotten the best deal of all. Hey, by the way, what about that autopsy we were promised?

And Octavio... son's missing? Heck, better pour himself a drink and think this over.

I'm finding myself agreeing with gringo... can't wait to find out what idiocy these writers come up with next.

Carlos

Back finally from a very long morning, first doing this recap, lol, and then getting stuck in traffic. Can't decide which is worse.

Golawah, how much more crap are they going to dump on us? Apparently quite a bit more according to Latina in MD.

SusanLynn, I was actually Cher that year I wore that wig.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
I can't stand Nilda's theme song because that singer sounds awful to me.

I don't know, what grass Romero smoke, but it was extraordinary. I was using all my imagination, but he always surprised me. He is a genius in making bad thing worse.
And don't forget that someone will return. And I hope it is not a spoiler to say, that not only one person will return.
Alegria

Well, why the heck not?! We have over 30 caps to go. Bring everybody back. Even the dead! I'm sure the writers could manage to do that, somehow.

cathyx, good question. From 21 of November till 2 of December we'll watch 2 episodes of CI everyday. At all we have 160 episodes and 2-hours final. So 3 weeks till the end. Am I right?
Alegria

Vivi in DC, YES!!!! I want Lucia back!!! We never saw her dead, so...
Alegria

Alegria, 2 episodes a day coming up? Oh, no.

Please please please let it be Doris. She was so much fun. I also wouldn't mind a little more India Maria as well, and who wouldn't want to see the Exmir Karim again? He could just happen to be riding by on his camel and drop in for a drink.

Carlos

cathyx, after PEAM till PSMA, there will be 2 episodes of CI. Or may be I'm wrong
Alegria.

Alegria, that is going to take everything I've got to do a 2 hour recap. Oh my, my, my. I better go to the wine store.

cathyx, I'm stocking up on Tequila. 2 hrs? Say it ain't so.

Carlos

Carlos, 2 hours will be very difficult. I was counting down the minutes on this recap. The tequila and wine may help make this show make sense, and if it doesn't, at least we'll enjoy recapping it a little bit more.

Oh my! I just looked ahead on my DirecTV schedule...

Thur Nov 21... Latin Grammys

Fri Nov 22... CI 2 freakin' hours

Wanna guess who's up for that Fri?

Yikes!

Carlos

I'm really sorry Carlos, but I too will have 2 hour episode if the dates Alegria gave are correct. I hope I don't have to work the next day. Better yet, I should just call in sick now.

I vote for the return of Doris, THE GOVENOR'S DAUGHTER. I think that dad should come along. I would like to see Alejandro Tomassi arm wrestle Alvaro. I did not like watching the other characters the first time around, but it might be fun having Lucrazia arise from the dirt. Would be ZombieLu be any worse than LU-alive ? I think not.

OHOH...please bring back Tobias . Maybe he could talk some sense into I'mtheMotherNilda .

Carlos and Cathyx..sounds like this novela could cause profits to rise at the liquor stores. it's going to be a merry merry and happy happy. ...when this sucker finally ends. ...until then...cheers.

Hilarious, Cathyx, just hilarious! Loved the editorial comments.

2hrs - feel bad for recap pets, but you guys can just do the minimum bulleted recap summaries. Much van be summarized at this point!

It's ridiculous.

Whoever knew Nilda was such a bossy, selfish lady. Nice!

Recap pets, LOL! That was supposed to be recappers - yep, gets autocorrected to recap pets, LOL!

LOL! I like Recap Pets. The sidebar does talk about the care and feeding of the recappers. Recap Pets might be more fitting.

I'm in denial about the two hour episode blocks.

I feel like a recap pet when I recap this show. Pets don't understand why we do what we do, and I don't understand why these people do what they do.
Bullet points for the 2 hour show. That's a good idea.

I agree. Recap Pets is very appropriate. After all, Mejia and Romero have been feeding us nothing but table scraps for so long, and yet we keep coming back for more. Where's the juicy steak we were promised?

@Alegria - I completely agree with you. Romero kept surprising us, for sure, but in a really bad way.

Ok, talk about Google knowing every little detail about us. It labeled me as "Robbie's mom" and I didn't even realize. (And yes, I am Robbie's mom.). LatinaInMD

I can't believe MaryCruz is going to let Solita's mom kill her baby. Her quest for revenge truly has made her into an apathetic woman. She's no better than Miguel's wife, the very person who killed her grandfather.
