I'll be bold and answer this one: I would never want to be stuck on deserted island with Any of Them.

They have all turned out to be pretty sleazy. Even though Maria and her donkey were pretty benign, I wouldn' want to spend any time on a deserted island with them. Oh, maybe Tobias would be the exception, but he concentrated on the make-over for MC to the exclusion of Solita. So, I take it back. Put him back in the big pot and stir til they all blend into one big lumpy mess.

 

I would not want to be stuck on a desert island with any of these folks, but I especially would not want to be there with either of the Ewww twins. Having to dodge both of them 24/7 would be horrible. Ewwwww and Bleeccchhh.

If I HADTO pick one of these people to be stuck with me on that island, I would pick Oblivio because even though he is dumb as a rock, he is good looking and has great hair and a rocking bod. That hair would just keeping growing , and I like long hair on guys. Just sayin'. Or if I want someone to talk to, I guess it would be Alvaro since he was one of the most normal people on the show.

First I must ask... dress rehearsal for what?

Worst Villain... I'm guessing that means the meanest, scariest, badass in the show and that of course is Lucia. If by worst as in most incompetent, then I have to go with Miguel... although he was was certainly an energy-efficient villain.

The Dunce Award... I'll accept that for myself for joining in as a recapper (I volunteered because Vivi promised me a monkey for goodness sake)... if you mean character, Maricruz came from behind to win this award, going away, these last few days. She has all the decision making skills of a squirrel in traffic.

Most Entertaining Character... without a doubt... Doris... she rescued many a recap for me.

I would never want to be stuck on deserted island with _________ Aníbal... it was a tossup between him and Eusebio... I imagine that both have very bad personal hygiene.

I added this and will probably go to Hell for my choice:

I would want to be stuck on deserted island with _________ Solita... She's pretty, she's quiet, she's affectionate, she's eager to please, she's easy to please, she doesn't eat much... we could sit around plaiting each others hair (it's a fantasy... I have hair in this fantasy)

Worst Villain: Maricruz. If by "worst" you mean, not very good at being a villain. Her revenge phase was a total flop. Very badly planned. More whining than revenge. Her enemies did not suffer at her hand, but at their own.

The Dunce Award: Maricruz. Lost all of her father's wealth and businesses in just a few month's time, and refused to listen to the people who told her who was stealing from her, even the man's wife. Also, is trying actively to keep herself in prison, for no reason.

Most Entertaining character: Maricruz, in her early period. Those cat fights, spitting food and drink out at the table, stealing the horse and riding by Tav, climbing trees with her monkey, and shooting her husband. Good times.


I would never want to be stuck on deserted island with: Maricruz. It's all about me, me, me with her. My horrible life, my problems, no one supports me, no one loves me, blah, blah, blah.

Best Dressed: Maricruz-- Isla Dorada phase.

Worst Dressed: Maricruz-- Tamaulipas Phase #1 (raggedy dresses two sizes tto small) and Tamaulipas Phase #2 (mullet skirts)


 

OMG! Carlos, I was writing while you were posting. We obviously think alike.

I will forever do penance for promising you a monkey, who chose to stay behind cameras writing directing for most of this tn.

Vivi, I am afraid that our Carlos is just not going to let the monkey thing go...evah. Carlos, remember your own sage advice....NEXT. We are nearing the finish line and on to the next monkeyless novela. Maybe we'll get a ferret. We can only hope.

Most Entertaining Character: Lupita. She's the only one I never get tired of watching and listening to.

Worst villain: Jose Antonio. We've probably all experienced unrequited love but come on. MC never led him on and she gave him the chance to better himself - which he did at her expense. What a JackAss.

The Dunce Award goes to: ShutUpDoris. She is still intent on marrying a man who doesn't love her and never will and can barely hide his contempt.

Most Entertaining: ShutUpDoris. Need I say more?

I would never want to be stuck on a deserted island with Miguel. What a pathetic excuse for a man.

Best Dressed: MC at the casino and ShutUpDoris all of the time.

Worst dressed: Alfonso. His skinny jeans were awful! Remember the episode where he was trying to sit on the floor while talking to Doris?

I think the show derailed after the casino. But if I were to change any part of the story, I think I would just dump a few of the extraneous characters: Emir, India Maria (and her new friend), Lina and her drunken father, to name a few.

Carlos: my husband was also enamored of ShutUpDoris. The only time he would watch with me was when she was making an appearance! I believe Ingrid Marz is in the replacement TN, Que pobres tan ricos.


 

Vivi DC: I too hated the "mullet" skirts! Are they really called that?
 

Worst Villain: Simona/Doris. Lucia was bad-ass, these 2 were only there to treat Octavio like their personal property. However, Simona has a better life now, unlike Doris and her typical rich girl attitude.
The Dunce Award: The writers for bringing back Doris and for introducing the Alfonso era.
Most Entertaining character: Lupita. So cute of her to recognize "papito"!

When MC started helping the poor, meeting Alfonso, and Doris returning again with no changes in her attitude.
 

@Susanlynne. If you like Daniel Arenas with long hair, you would have loved him "Amorcito Corazon". His hair was shoulder length and I remember thinking he's one of the few men I've seen who actually looked good with long hair.

 

Oh, and my dunce award would go to whoever thought this novela would be a good ideal. I've been in and out of touch with it because I got tired of Maricruz's vengeance thing. I think she should have stopped after making Lucia eat mud but no, she kept on going. I only tuned in long enough to see Brandon Peniche and I may watch the finale to see how it all ends.
 

britishcomedyfan..Thanks for the recommendation. Have you ever seen Adrian Paul ? He starred in Highlander :the TV Series. He looked great in long hair or a ponytail. Also, Fernando Colunga looked wonderful with long hair in Alborada.
 

Worst Villain: Alfonso bested MC every encounter beginning with the "pick up in the park" He easily sized her up and though she played coy with him and protested his advances (and knowing he was a cad) she continued to go back for more. She thought with a little work and encouragement she could make a man out of him and control him (typical reform that bad boy). Didn't work. Even in death Alfonso wins and MC is willing to forfeit her own child and the man she says she loved.

The Dunce Award: Octavio for falling for MC's crap

What was your favorite part of this show? Fantasy Island, look boss the plane, the plane

What part of the story would you have changed? Kidnapping Lupida twice

Where did this show go wrong? The easy "pick up in the park" by Alfonso. I thought it would be wonderful, even after all my angst, for MC and Octavio to live happily ever after but once MC met the man she should really be with (and it is not Octavio and not because I think Alfonso it a stellar human being)what was the point.

I would like to give a shout out to Juanita and always thought her pretty, rational and stable. Maybe Octavio and she marry and raise the kids.

Vivi: I like how MC can fit every category.
Cathyx: I liked how you chose to the production side of things.

As for dress rehearsals: Every year my school puts on a student run production (band, singers, dancers, choreo,,etc) that parodies the medical profession (mainly being a medical student). This year the theme was the Healing Games (Hunger Game spinoff) and I was in 4 dances (me da mucho miedo)! All the money raised goes to various free health clinics in the community
 

First, I think the recappers made the show worthwhile. Their writing was far more funny and interesting than the show itself. Without them, I think I would have given up on the show long ago.
I think it went wrong when she (MC) reverted to her original self, as though she had no brains. But then maybe she caught the disease from Oblivio.
My favorite part of the show was with MC and her father. I would have kept him alive somehow.

I would not want to be stuck with Doris unless I were deaf, and I wish they had chosen a child who could act for Lupita.
 

Cece- What an awesome idea for a yearly show/charity event! I love the title this year, the Healing Games. Very clever.
 

Worst Villain: I'm gonna take cathyx route and say the writers AND Mrs. Meija to think it was ok to air such a sloppy TN.

The Dunce Award: post Isla MC and One Cell can battle this award out.


Most Entertaining character: Emir (he was ridiculous), and Lupita...I could never pay attention to the stupid things the characters were saying she she was on screen.


I would never want to be stuck on deserted island with: Tav..while he is eye candy. My life would be doomed to that island forever. He does not have the brain capacity for logic.

I should have added the most logical person in this TN....it would probably go to Juanita. She always gives MC sound advice which always falls on deaf ears.
 

I think that Tobias was a victim of his own success. He became an unfortunate and inconvenient loose end.

By that I mean, from the moment he first opened the door to Maricruz, there was a palpable chemistry between the two which flourished during the time she spent at the mansion. It was almost as strong as the bond that developed between her and her dad, Alejandro.

He also developed quite a strong bond with Solita and for awhile he seemed to be the only one who truly cared about what happened with her.

When Maricruz went back to the farm taking Solita and Shadrach (noname boy) with her there just wasn't a need or place for Tobias anymore. I think a place at Rancho Abuelo could have been developed, but at that point those involved didn't seem inclined to make the effort.

Sadly, probably the tidiest way to deal with an extraneous Tobias would have been to kill him off... humanely of course... because he had become superfluous.

It might have been interesting for him to go along with the gang back to the farm and set up a power struggle between him and Santa, but he would have seen through José Antonio right away and would have immediately exposed him and shut him down. Unfortunately that would have likely meant adding even more episodes.

Unless I really missed it, I don't think the Friday episode was shown here on the West coast. I think Monday will still be #156.
 

Carlos: I would have loved to see Tobias come back to the Ranchero. Even Teo 2.0....perhaps those two could have talked some sense into her and we would still have some version of SuperMari left.

LoriLoo: I was asking myself the same question about gringo...
 

Tobias will reunite once MC gets out of jail and she moves back into her fathers house since there was some snafu during the sale to the new owner
 

This comment is off-topic for this posting but about CI ...
I watched (just last night) the Thursday/Friday episode and continue to wonder about the little girl playing Lupita. She seems too young to be able to "direct" as an actress so, often, she's just quietly present in a scene. But what must be going through this poor kid's head listening to these crazy people surrounding her, talking to her, or around her. Just having one of the other actors say, " Come to mommie" or "Go with daddy" has got to be beyond confusing for her. Her facial expressions and body language are screaming "who are these people and why am I here". She's so precious but I fear for her mental health after participating in CI...

LoriLoo y Emeraldrose---As you guys and everyone else know, I really like this novela and the basic storyline that goes along with it. I see "And the Nominations Are"??? as nothing more than a way to poke fun at the show and almost all of the characters in it. I am not going to be a part of this "make fun of CI game". I have chosen to enjoy Corazon Indomable, not laugh at and criticize it's shortcomings.
So, I will not be posting an opinion in this discussion page but I will join in again on Tuesday morning after the Monday night show has aired.

Emerald Rose and Susan Lynn, you can not choose Daniel, if you want him you have to chose Octavio and all his shortcomings and one braincell. Because if we could pick the actors instead, I'd pick the actor who played Tony.

Worst Villain. Worst? I hate Simona, so for me she was the best. So the worse. Miguel? He was absolutely bad in everything.
The Dunce Award. Romero. He is my hero. He is the best in being the worst.

I wish, Tobias was with MC all that time. And Solita can talk. She was screaming in episode #3, but Romero forget about this. And Lucia. I think that death wasnt enough for her.

Everything went wrong after returning to the rancho. I think, that ines Rodena had a different plot in her mind, but she must kill "Lucia" in original novela, so she started to change the plot. And it wasn't good idea. It's the worst part. The part in capital wasn't even written by Ines. And this last episodes Romero copy-pasted from his old novela. That is why novela lost it charm.

And the last. I'm a fan of Lupita. I like both girls. First one is my favourite baby ever!!!! And the second girl is also charming. I remember, that sometimes almost no one here believed that she is normal girl, but I'm sure, that she is absolutely normal. May be director asked her to be quite, the didn't want to spoil episodes.

This is worst TN I ever watched til the end, although I did take a hiatus for a few episodes. I think the worst thing ( or one of the many), is that there were so many subplots that they were hard to keep track of. Then they dropped them like a hot potato. They dropped Tobias, Solita (twice) Teobaldo, etc, etc. right when you thought the torture would end soon they introduced another plot and another 10 new characters! It was mentally exhausting!

Now she gets stabbed? (based on avances). Please finish this already!

Best dressed: definitely Doris

Dunce award: that has to go to MC. Losing all her money, trusting Jose Antonio, going to jail for another's crime, never learning sign language, losing the monkey.

I would definitely choose Octavio on a deserted island. He is probably the only reason I continued to watch this rubbish.
