Mentir Para Vivir #64 Tue 1/7/14 Suck It Up and Grow a Pair of Balls, Pretty Boy! (Words of Wisdom by Homero de la Garza)

Casa de Homero:  Paloma objects to Oriana moving in with Jose Luis.  In her current state, Oriana might fall in love with him again.  She reports that Ricky is also suffering because he can’t see his honey bunny.  Homero says that Oriana either cooperates with the sting or she goes to prison.  Besides, Ricky will have to grow a big pair of balls in order to get through this.  Paloma calls Homero a hardass.     Homero tells Paloma that Ricky marrying Marilu is a stupid idea.  Paloma says that the plan will work because Jose Luis is “dead”.  In order to take Rhodalina, Francisco would have to admit that he is Jose Luis and he will get sent to prison.  Homero says that the plan will never work because Francisco Falcon can prove that he is the father with a simple DNA test; he doesn’t have to admit that he is Jose Luis.  Fathers have rights.  The girl could be the result of an affair.  Homero thinks they can get around the law if Inez signs a notarized statement giving custody to Ricky and Marilu.

Case de Jose Luis:  Mike, now the personal assistant, informs Jose Luis that flowers with a card were delivered to the hospital per his request.  Jose Luis threatens to send Mike back to Joaquin.  After Jose Luis leaves, Mike, the snitch, immediately calls Joaquin.  Joaquin wants to know if Oriana is going to die.  Mike can’t say for sure, but thinks that she will.  Joaquin hopes that she does.  He tells Mike to keep him informed about Antonio.

Blueberry Hill:  Ricky is upset that he hasn’t seen his snookums in several days.  He’s sent her flowers anonymously, but she doesn’t remember him, so it doesn’t matter anyway.  Mariano slyly rubs it in that she recognized him immediately.  He also has seen her a few times.  Piero reports that Fabiola’s baby may have inherited some crazy epileptic chromosomes from Maria.  The hospital is conducting tests now.  Piero still intends to marry Fabiola.

Dive Bar:  The former Shipping Manager (Sebastian), and the Executive VP of Arte Folklore’s Money Laundering division (Antonio) are entertaining the cotton pickin’ union chief (Cerefino Gomez) at a local dive bar.  They would like him to convince those cotton pickin’ farmers to only do business with them.  The union chief says that Ricky will make a counter-offer to those cotton pickin’ farmers.  Antonio is certain that Ricardo is not willing to give money to the union chief.  The union chief agrees and suggests that they meet with the cotton pickers.  They toast.

Cara de Aresti:  Paloma reports on Oriana’s condition to Fabs, Cesar, Ruben and Matilde.  Matilde wants to know if Oriana will die.  Fabiola tells the family that the baby may have inherited crazy epileptic chromosomes from Sebastian.  Matilde tells her to get an abortion; she doesn’t want her to raise a “retard”.  Both Paloma and Ruben tell her to shut up.  Ruben points out that the “retard” will be her grandkid.

Arte Folklore Cotton Pickin’ Union Meeting:  Somewhere out in a cotton pickin’ field, Anotonio tells a crowd of cotton pickin’ cotton pickers that Arte Folklore will pay 30% more for their work.  Sebastian introduces himself as Ricky’s brother and tells the crowd that Ricky has been cheating them for years.  The group agrees that they like Ricky as a person, but they like money much better.  They vote to do business with Arte Folklore.

Casa de Homero:  Meanwhile, across town, Ricky and Homero are discussing Ricky’s upcoming nuptials, his adoption efforts and Oriana’s progress.  They are interrupted by a visit by Manolo.  Manolo reports that they found a body and a van with no plates in an abandoned building.  They ran the prints from the body and they found a match.  The deceased prints were on the gun that killed both Berto and Ricky’s father.  They are going to ask Felipe if he can identify the body and interview him.  Ricky leaves.  Manolo tells Homero that Jose Luis, Sandro Carbajal and Francisco Castro are the same person.  Sandro Carbajal bought the hotel where Ricky’s father was killed.

Hospital de San Benito Lobby:  The psychiatrist and neurologist openly discuss Oriana’s diagnosis.  After the nurse hands the neurologist a clip board, he rushes off to see another patient in intensive care.  Mariano approaches the psychiatrist, who freely provides the defrocked priest with an update on the patient’s status.  Mariano praises God.  The shrink gives Mariano permission to visit Oriana but says that he wants him to take something in with him.  Mariano visits Oriana with a photo album.  She opens it up and smiles when she sees a photo of Rhodalina, dressed as a princess and playing in a bouncy house. He identifies Lucina and Raquel as her friends, in the next photo. She doesn’t recognize Ricky, but her heart rate quickens when she sees the photo of them sharing a private moment.  She cries out that she wants to see her daughter.  Mariano encourages her to relax while a nurse checks the monitor.

Out in the lobby, Jose Luis has arrived with a bouquet of flowers.  The nurse will not allow him to visit Oriana because she is only allowed one visitor per day.   Mariano is already there.  Jose Luis wants to know if Ricky has visited; the nurse says no.  Jose Luis tries to leave the flowers, but flowers aren’t allowed in intensive care.  Jose Luis rips the petals off of the flowers and throws the rest of the bouquet on the floor.  He leaves.

Blueberry Hill Courtyard:  Rhodalina and Tito greet Ricky.  Well, Rhodalina does.  Tito could care less about him.  She asks when she can talk to her mother.  Ricky tells her to wait in the house and then calls the psychiatrist.  The shrink says that it’s not a good idea because it might freak Oriana out.  Ricky tells him to stand beside Oriana while she is on the phone and monitor her while she speaks with Rhodalina.  After ending the call, the shrink visits Oriana and asks if she feels strong enough to speak with her daughter.  Oriana is very eager to talk to Rhodalina, so the doctor makes the call.

Indoors, at Fedelia’s wing of Blueberry Hill, it seems that Rhodalina has found another rich patroness to fleece.  Utilizing her pony tails and dazzling smile, she hypnotizes the susceptible Fedelia.  Luckily, for Fedelia, Ricardo walks in and breaks the spell.  While he is speaking with a thwarted Rhodalina, he receives a phone call.  It’s Oriana, but she does not recognize his voice.  He sadly passes the phone to Rhodalina who happily chats with her mother.  Rhodalina says that she misses her and asks when she is coming back.  Oriana sobs and drops the phone.  The shrink rushes over to check on her.  Rhodalina tells Ricky and Fedelia that Oriana hung up on her.  Ricky tries to call back, but gets no answer.

At the hospital, the neurologist tells the shrink that Oriana has suffered a setback.  He wants to induce a coma.  The shrink thinks that’s a bad idea.  The neurologist agrees to wait, but says that it will be the shrink’s fault if she dies.

Back on Blueberry Hill, Ricky tells Marilu that Oriana suffered a downturn after talking with her daughter.  Ricky blames himself for insisting that Oriana speak with her bad seed.  He tells Marilu that they will have to jump the broom soon.  Later Fedelia, Marilu and Ricardo walk Rhodalina back into Fedelia’s wing.  Rhodalina is bummed out because her mommy hung up on her.  Fedelia tells her that Oriana didn’t hang up; the phone call simply got disconnected.  Marilu and Rhodalina go see Tito.  Fedelia tries to cheer up Ricky.

At Aresti Mansion, Paloma also gets an update on Oriana’s condition.  Mariano gives her the benediction.  Later, Matilde stops by Paloma’s room to check on her.  Paloma is bummed out because she misses Inez and Rhodalina.  She suspiciously asks Matilde, what’s up.  Matilde is there to fish for information.  She wants to know where Rhodalina is.  Paloma tells her none of her business.  Matilde wants Paloma to help her convince Fabs to have an abortion.  Paloma refuses and tells Matilde to get out.

In living room, Fabiola is on the phone with Piero.  Piero tells her that he loves her and still would like to marry her.  Fabs says that she’s going to abort the baby.  She hangs up when her mother walks in.  Matilde tells Fabs that she’s heard what she says and agrees with her decision.  She tells her to get it done quickly.  Fabiola runs to her room and sobs behind the door.  Leonard calls.  He wants to take her out.  She hangs up on him and says that she will call him back later.

Casa de Castro:  Jose Luis is on the phone with the shrink.  He threatens to remove Oriana from the hospital.  He is her husband and has the right to see her.  The shrink explains that Oriana has suffered a setback.  Her blood pressure rose and her brain lacked oxygen.  Jose Luis sinks down into a chair.

Morgue:  Eliseo’s body lies on a slab at the morgue.  Lucina and Felipe are glued to the wall as the technicians attend the body with a single headshot.  Lucina says that Eliseo worked for a guy named Sandro Carbajal, who bought her other hotel.  She never met Mr. Carbajal.  Eliseo represented him and signed all of the paperwork.  Manolo and his Hernandez exchange glances.

Casa de Homero:  Homero receives a report that Oriana is in a coma.  He then tells Leonardo that Fabiola’s baby might have inherited Sebastian’s crazy epilectic chromosome.  They are still doing tests.  He asks if Leonardo intends to marry Fabiola with a sick baby.  Leonardo still doesn’t know.

Out in the hallway, Manolo and Hernandez discuss telling Homero De la Garza what they just found out.  Manolo says that De la Garza already knows ‘cuz he told him.  Hernandez thinks that this case is bigger than them.  Manolo tells him that when he first met Francisco Castro, Francisco introduced himself to him as Sandro Carbajal.  He now knows that they are one in the same.  They discuss how the van was stolen and wiped clean of finger prints.  Hernandez thinks that they have no business investigating a money laundering operation.

Antonio and Sebastian stop by Jose Luis’ home; they need to talk to him.  Mike “the undertaker” Rodriguez now puts on his butler hat and says that Jose Luis won’t be back until tomorrow.  He doesn’t know where Jose Luis went.  Mike introduces himself to Sebastian and extends his hand.  Sebastian does not shake it.  Antonio tells Mike to tell Jose Luis that the Cotton Pickin’ Union has agreed to sell to only them.  Sebastian slaps Mike on the shoulder and takes all of the credit.

Casa Bonita Hotel Poolside:  Lucina asks if Rhodalina is with Paloma.  Ricky’s won’t reveal where Rhodalina is staying, but says that she’s well protected.  He then tells her that he is going to marry Marilu.  This news does not make an eavesdropping Raquel happy.

Not one to waste time, Raquel runs over to Jose Luis with the news of Ricky’s engagement.  Raquel explains that Marilu is Ricardo’s aunt Fedelia’s niece.  Jose Luis smells a rat.  Raquel says that Ricky has simply moved on.  Oriana’s about to croak and a man has his sexual needs.  She demonstrates the point by grabbing Jose Luis and laying a big wet one on him.  When they come up for air, Jose Luis steers them back to the subject.  He’s not buying this sudden engagement of kissing cousins.  He thinks Oriana might be pretending to be sick.  Raquel wants to DTR (define the relationship) and wants to know where she stands.  Jose Luis says that she will get what she wants, but he doesn’t have time to deal with her stupidity.

A little while later, Raquel is at a bar ordering double shots, when Mike “the party animal” Rodriguez, Sebastian and Antonio come in and sit down at a table.  Sebastian invites her to sit down with them.  Raquel hits on Mike and Sebastian lets her know that Mike works for Jose Luis and reminds her that she boinks Jose Luis.  Raquel tells the boys that Oriana was in a car accident and now she’s about to kick the bucket.  Sebastian is happy that Ricky is said.  Not so fast…she goes on to tell them that Ricky is about to marry Marilu.  Raquel continues to try to seduce Mike.

Later that night on Blueberry Hill, Ricardo and Piero are also drinking.  Piero tells Ricky that Arte Folklore has taken all of his business and he’s about to lose both his shirt and that stylish ascot that he insists on wearing.  Ricky doesn’t care.  He’s got a thousand other ascots in multiple colors.  He’s bummed out that Oriana is about to die and he’s gonna marry Marilu in a few days.

The next morning, while walking through the patio, Ricky calls the shrink.  There are no changes in Oriana’s condition.  Marilu comes bouncing out of the house with Rhodalina, who immediately jumps into Ricky’s arms.  Ricky tells Marilu that Rhodalina goes to Paloma’s after school and at night, he will pick her up.  Accompanied by two large undertakers, Marilu escorts Rhodalina to school.  At the entrance of the school, Marilu stops to give Rhodalina a pep talk.  Rhodalina uses her Linda Blair voice that I hate when she’s trying to be extra adorable.  My mother always says that, she says.  Marilu updates the teacher before being escorted back to the car by one of Ricky’s undertakers.

Aresti Mansion:  Ricky tells Paloma to make Piero the CEO of Aresti Breton.  He doesn’t care anymore.  Homero strolls in and tells Ricky to suck it up and grow a pair a BALLS.  This man destroyed your business and stole your woman.  Ricky whines that Oriana is going to die.  Paloma tells him not to talk that way.  Homero tells Ricky that Jose Luis was behind the car accident.  He encourages Ricky to get angry and get some sweet revenge.  Ricky stops crying and starts thinking.

Avances:

Ricky marries Marilu and visits Jose Luis!

I agree with 5ft Latina. These people talk way too much!

Thanks Cyndarella! Very great! Now I see, you have another boyfriend, what's up with Victor Hugo? (So far I thought 2 Cyndarella were on this blog. :D ) Your title is enthralling

Ugly, pupple ascot in Ricky, I guess until now this were the ugliest, and feminine. I would prefer to burn this ascot. And after is a second similar ascot in betwee pink and red colour (talking with Lucina). I am sick and tired, ascot-fever. So far there were no symptoms for me, but now I am infected. There is no heat for his neck?

Why is Matilde so much again in the Aresti villa?

Mike 'the undertaker' LOL!

Lina is wating again the maths lesson, and Ric say the same things that Mariano said to Lina in cap6. But the most important thing, Ric has to take care of Tito. I loved Zepeda scenes with children, very good with them. I loved his common scenes with Santiaguito, Alex and with Lina.

Thanks, Cyn. you are right. There was lots of talking last night. I really needed this recap.

Thanks for making a chatty episode funny, Cyn.

Homero is demanding that they trust him, but he hasn't really told anyone what the plan is. How does he possibly think they can use Ori if she's incapacitated or has memory lapses? I did appreciate him telling Ricky to grow a pair, stop whining, get back to work, and get some revenge.

Why is Fabi so freaked out about the baby possibly inheriting illnesses, when she doesn't even know yet. If she wants an abortion because she doesn't believe she can handle pregnancy and motherhood, fine. But it just seems like she was looking for any convenient excuse. In any case, Mati needs to back off on showing her joy about an abortion and Ori possibly dying. And why the neck are they letting her hang out in the mansion anyway?

Thank you, Cynderella.
Lots of stuff to cover, you did it perfectly.

I'm a little bit confused because I saw the scene with mariano showing Oriana the album photo at the end of Monday's episode, but then it reappeared Tuesday, after some scenes that I didn't see Monday?
Oh, well, maybe an editing problem? Or the episode I saw was differently cut?

Loved your name for Antonio - Executive VP of Arte Folklore’s Money Laundering division - Hahaha, very accurate.
Also, I agree that Ric should grow a pair and start worrying about losing his ascots and his company.

Vivi, in Fabi's position, I don't know if I'd be braver. I think you're right that she's trying to find an excuse, but I can't blame her. 18, pregnant and with a sick baby - awful!

Adriana- I didn't see the photo album thing that you described last episode, until this episode. And there's a scene in this recap that I didn't see last night. I don't know if they are showing a different edit online, versus what's being shown in tv.

Adriana- I totally get why it would be too much at that age. I just want her to be more honest with herself about what she's feeling and why, and make her decision based on that. In general, I just want to see Fabi being stronger and firmer in her decisions.

Adriana: The photo album was the same scene like in yesterday's episode. You noticed well.
In cap47 was the same thing. The ending scene (Fabi tells to Cesar the pregnancy) was in the middle of following scene 48. cap, and then Diva noticed it.
It is no Uni editing, it was same mode in Mexico. I do not understand the essence of this. Avance without "avance subtitle".

I wanted to write: the middle of following episode

Great work.

So we now know another of our villain's aliases. I'm sure before it's all over Oriana will find out that she never knew his real name.

Still thinking that Diego Olivera and David Zepeda were switched in this cast despite that DO is doing a great job as this mentally ill villain.

Did I miss something or how the hell did Mathilde get back into the mansion? Hopefully she is just visiting.

You may all disagree with me, but I think Fabiola should have an abortion. There may or may not be a chromosomal issue, but there would still be the risk that the baby would look exactly like SebAss, putting Fabiola at risk of becoming the next Rosario Pedraza.

The other risk is that she might never get rid of SebAss out of her life no matter what condition the baby would be in. She doesn't deserve any of this.

If this is her decision, she should head to D.F. immediately for this so as not to face any red tape designed to roadblock it. She doesn't have a lot of time.

Thank you so much, Cynderella. What a convoluted, busy, talking episode to recap. I can't wait to see where this is going.

Vivi- I had not seen the album before either. I do wonder whether the on-line episodes are cut differently.

Poor Fabiola. Her support system is unnecessarily hysterical even while they are trying to be helpful. This is terrible telenovela medicine -- as is the idea that Oriana could be treated for this brain injury by the same doctor who has treated everything but Tito's wounds. We have no idea really what Maria suffered from, whether this is something that a male would necessarily carry, what the odds are, etc. Carlos -- where are you??? We need some reality checks!

I am sensitive to this because I had some genetic testing 27 years ago with my second child and it was incredibly complex in terms of what they were looking for, where it might be carried in the family, etc. It all worked out fine but it far from the depiction we have been witnessing these last couple of days.

Dear Cynderella Novia de??? Excellent, as usual, amiga!!! Loved the Rhodalina asides. :))

Who is more pathetic? Matilde or Sebas? Matilde is such a fine specimen of a mother.

As for Sebas, he is rotten to his very soul. I really wonder how this young character will meet his end. I so no redeemable qualities in him at this point. He is ruled by his hatred.

Right now, my main man is Homero because he acts, thinks, and looks like a: M.A.N.! I love him.

Fatima

Urban, I think it is so very difficult to say what Fabiola should do. I would like to see her discuss her concerns and thoughts freely and openly with a psychologist or some other qualified, outside specialist. Even though Padre Plaid is on hiatus from his daily job, I'm not sure he could be objective at this point.

The girl needs real help in this very important moment in her life. Right now, I do not see anyone qualified to help her. Given that she is 18 and unable to make important life decisions (based upon her upbringing and decisions she has made so far) and given that she appears fragile in so many ways, she needs to think very seriously about the ramification of her actions.

I think she is emotionally immature enough that having an abortion could scar her life for a long time to come.

Do you think Ruben and Matilde got married in the Catholic church?

Anywho...Fabiola needs help not advice from well meaning friends/family with their own agendas.

Fatima

Thanks for the recap Cynderella and yes there was a lot of jawing going on in that episode, though we did get a few interesting tid-bits. Oriana being able to give full custody of Lina to Ric and Marilu could really mess up JL. Loved your list of nick names for Mike!

Though I'm not an ascot fan, and I know someone else mentioned this, Ric isn't wearing his correctly. They look more like bad man-scarves.

Add me to the list of those who don't know how Maddie got back on the premises. Everyone sees right through her supposed concern for her tia.

Piero's continuing insistence on marrying Fabi is creepy. He wants a do-over more than a wife and poor Fabi is actually younger than her years b/c of the mental/emotional abuse from her mom.

Fatima - ITA that Fabi needs a solid person to talk to about her options. Perhaps we could play guest therapists and talk her through things ;) But seriously, perhaps Lucina is the only one who could kindly walk her through the possibilities.

Karen, I think we could do a very credible job helping Fabs!

I agree. Lucina is a good option, but honestly, given Fabiola's history, a credentialed, certified counselor/therapist is what that girl needs. The poor kid is getting too much pressure from friends/family. I think it would be very refreshing for the writers to introduce such a character that would delve into all the issues such as the chance she will have a sick child; her mental and emotional abuse, and inability to stand up for herself.

Sadly, I don't know that the writers want to tackle that with only 40 episodes to go, but I think it would add to the Fabs story.

Fatima

Cynderella – Thanks. Love “Mike ‘the undertaker’ Rodriguez.” I would like to see what would happen if JL ever did his angry finger-plunking thing on Mike’s forehead. This made me lol too: “The group agrees that they like Ricky as a person, but they like money much better.”

Homero is great with Ricky’s whining. Wondering if Homero will ever address Ricky’s Ascot Issue.

I don’t know what Fabi should do. To me, she’s still 18 going on 15. She’s a lovely, sweet girl, so if she did have the baby, I feel she would be loving to it regardless of its state. And she’s fortunate to have a loving family – except Matilda - and money and access to the best care for her and the baby. I just hope she doesn’t hold on to Piero as a crutch. Fatima, agree she needs an objective professional. I like Lucina but she’s very opinionated (in a good way) and this needs a delicate hand.

I wonder what Matilde's anvil will be? I guess it's too early for Urban's Anvil List, but I do find myself wondering what it will be.

Fatima

Gracias, Cynderella. I know, right! Could we get a longer montage of "days pass" or somebody having some nookie?! At least then, there would be a break.

I loved this: "he’s about to lose both his shirt and that stylish ascot that he insists on wearing. Ricky doesn’t care. He’s got a thousand other ascots in multiple colors." Because I hate the ascots so! We're outnumbered by ascots!

I'm incredibly annoyed with the characters' reactions to both Fabiola's and Oriana's situations. In Fabiola's case, "might be an issue" has turned into "definitely going to be an issue" as the news gets passed along like a game of telephone. With Oriana, "relapse" has turned into "going to die, like, now." How about waiting to see what actually happens before having the collective freak-out?! Instead, Matilde's pushing abortion and Ric is letting his company tank while he mourns a woman who's not dead yet.

As for Fabiola, I think it's so sad, as Fatima pointed out, that everyone around her has their own agendas, so she doesn't have an objective person to talk to.

Good Morning,

Thanks for the comments.

Urban, I don't agree that Fabs should have an abortion. Everyone that I have spoken with that had an abortion at a young age usually feels really guilty about it later OR they end up knocked up again a few months later (especially if they feel pressured into it). She reminds me of those types of girls.

I also think that Piero would be good for her. I think there's a saying that goes...old man's princess, young man's whore. Right? Does anyone remember that? Anyway, Seb might be a jerk, but I think Leo is just as bad. Piero wants to make her respectable and love her, but Leo is still thinking it over. He's annoying me. He sees that she's in distress, if he doesn't want her, he move aside and let someone have her who is certain.

URBAN, also you mentioned on another TN that Robo is Victorian. What style is this TN? Do you know what I'm asking, because I know that I can get confusing.

Ricky wearing ascots really doesn't bother me, but the fact that he ALWAYS wears them is annoying.

Cynderella

AlejoP,

I will always love Victor Hugo Cabrera. Every once in a while, we fight and I cheat on him. It's "our thing" as Adriana Noel says. During Abismo de Pasion, I fell in love with Gabino. As soon as the show was over, Victor and I made up again.

I don't know if we will reunite this time. I really think Alejandro is hot. Maybe one day one of them will give a shout out to us here at Caray Caray. I will pass if that ever happens. I really will. LOL

Cynderella

I like Mike. He doesn't drink and he's a multi-tasking hit man. I like that he uses his whole name every time he introduces himself. I think I'm going to enjoy his character.

5 ft Latina,

I never thought that I would be the one to say this, but PLEASE NO NOOKIE!!!!!!!!!! I am the one who gets the "pleasure of recapping those episodes". Ricky is my Boo, but I can't tolerate the slurping noises that he and Oriana make. Also, in my opinion, their love scenes are boring. They "French kiss" and nothing else. He doesn't toss her over his shoulder. Their boring. OK, my rant is over.

OK, one last thing. I don't think that Matilde lives there anymore. Maybe I am reading into this too much, but when she entered Paloma's bedroom, Paloma asked what was she STILL doing there. That's why I think she came by for a visit.

This is a modern story, meaning the last 20 years:

-- Oriana has a career
-- Lucina and Raquel own and operate a business
-- Paloma has a voice in the running of a company
-- The majority of the men have no problem with any of the above situations
-- Plot requires computers, cell phones, and other technology
-- Plot requires medical information not previously available

I agree that Fabiola needs the help of a trained professional in her situation. She should not be forced into anything by anyone else. However, I believe it would be better for her to have an abortion because of the reasons I stated above. Any guilt trip she would be on after that is temporary; a child is virtually permanent. What she needs is to be able to have a life and one that isn't dictated by MADhilde.

Thanks for the recap Cynderella. Is Alejandro Avila the man who played the doctor in La Que No Podia Amar?

I know most of you don't but feel sorry for Ricardo. He just wants to have a normal relationship with a woman he loves and so many things are interfering with that. But now that he knows that JL was behind the plan to stop Oriana, he's going to be more determined to stop him.

So, will Raquel sleep with Mike? I thinks so, she's such a slut.

Why doesn't Fabiola wait for the test results before she makes a decision? Let me guess, the results will be inconclusive.

I feel sorry for Ricardo, CathyX. I actually like DZ as a galan. I think the lack of chemistry between he and Mayrin is Mayrin's fault. She has been so dispassionate about everything in this TN. The person she has the best chemistry with in this novela is Alina and Paloma.

There are all sorts of things that don't yet show up in chromosomal tests. And Fabiola is under a time crunch either way.

I will probably start the Karmageddon memo soon, but will post it two or three weeks before the end, as usual.

Thanks Cynderella, as usual you have managed to crack me up throughout the recap.

This TN continues to keep me enthralled and entertained even as it bumbles into nonsensical territory at so many levels. The medical components are mystifying, the legal aspects are baffling, and the strategical planning is incomprehensible... however this I understood:

"Raquel continues to try to seduce Mike."

Mike, ask César... resistance is futile...

Carlos

I don't understand how Oriana is supposed to do any spying or anything at all of substance with her head injury.
I don't understand why JL keeps insisting he is Inez' husband.
I think Mayrim has good chemistry with the actor who plays Mariano. I like them together.
If I were a man and Raquel wrinkled her nose at me, I think I would go for it, but I'm not a man, so all I can think about is the possibility of venereal disease.

LN and Carlos,

I don't think that Mike will fall for Raquel. He's an "undertaker". He knows what the consequences are for messing around with the boss' side piece.
