Mentir Para Vivir #64 Tue 1/7/14 Suck It Up and Grow a Pair of Balls, Pretty Boy! (Words of Wisdom by Homero de la Garza)
Labels: mentir
Ugly, pupple ascot in Ricky, I guess until now this were the ugliest, and feminine. I would prefer to burn this ascot. And after is a second similar ascot in betwee pink and red colour (talking with Lucina). I am sick and tired, ascot-fever. So far there were no symptoms for me, but now I am infected. There is no heat for his neck?
Why is Matilde so much again in the Aresti villa?
Mike 'the undertaker' LOL!
Lina is wating again the maths lesson, and Ric say the same things that Mariano said to Lina in cap6. But the most important thing, Ric has to take care of Tito. I loved Zepeda scenes with children, very good with them. I loved his common scenes with Santiaguito, Alex and with Lina.
Homero is demanding that they trust him, but he hasn't really told anyone what the plan is. How does he possibly think they can use Ori if she's incapacitated or has memory lapses? I did appreciate him telling Ricky to grow a pair, stop whining, get back to work, and get some revenge.
Why is Fabi so freaked out about the baby possibly inheriting illnesses, when she doesn't even know yet. If she wants an abortion because she doesn't believe she can handle pregnancy and motherhood, fine. But it just seems like she was looking for any convenient excuse. In any case, Mati needs to back off on showing her joy about an abortion and Ori possibly dying. And why the neck are they letting her hang out in the mansion anyway?
Lots of stuff to cover, you did it perfectly.
I'm a little bit confused because I saw the scene with mariano showing Oriana the album photo at the end of Monday's episode, but then it reappeared Tuesday, after some scenes that I didn't see Monday?
Oh, well, maybe an editing problem? Or the episode I saw was differently cut?
Loved your name for Antonio - Executive VP of Arte Folklore’s Money Laundering division - Hahaha, very accurate.
Also, I agree that Ric should grow a pair and start worrying about losing his ascots and his company.
Vivi, in Fabi's position, I don't know if I'd be braver. I think you're right that she's trying to find an excuse, but I can't blame her. 18, pregnant and with a sick baby - awful!
In cap47 was the same thing. The ending scene (Fabi tells to Cesar the pregnancy) was in the middle of following scene 48. cap, and then Diva noticed it.
It is no Uni editing, it was same mode in Mexico. I do not understand the essence of this. Avance without "avance subtitle".
So we now know another of our villain's aliases. I'm sure before it's all over Oriana will find out that she never knew his real name.
Still thinking that Diego Olivera and David Zepeda were switched in this cast despite that DO is doing a great job as this mentally ill villain.
Did I miss something or how the hell did Mathilde get back into the mansion? Hopefully she is just visiting.
You may all disagree with me, but I think Fabiola should have an abortion. There may or may not be a chromosomal issue, but there would still be the risk that the baby would look exactly like SebAss, putting Fabiola at risk of becoming the next Rosario Pedraza.
The other risk is that she might never get rid of SebAss out of her life no matter what condition the baby would be in. She doesn't deserve any of this.
If this is her decision, she should head to D.F. immediately for this so as not to face any red tape designed to roadblock it. She doesn't have a lot of time.
Vivi- I had not seen the album before either. I do wonder whether the on-line episodes are cut differently.
Poor Fabiola. Her support system is unnecessarily hysterical even while they are trying to be helpful. This is terrible telenovela medicine -- as is the idea that Oriana could be treated for this brain injury by the same doctor who has treated everything but Tito's wounds. We have no idea really what Maria suffered from, whether this is something that a male would necessarily carry, what the odds are, etc. Carlos -- where are you??? We need some reality checks!
I am sensitive to this because I had some genetic testing 27 years ago with my second child and it was incredibly complex in terms of what they were looking for, where it might be carried in the family, etc. It all worked out fine but it far from the depiction we have been witnessing these last couple of days.
Who is more pathetic? Matilde or Sebas? Matilde is such a fine specimen of a mother.
As for Sebas, he is rotten to his very soul. I really wonder how this young character will meet his end. I so no redeemable qualities in him at this point. He is ruled by his hatred.
Right now, my main man is Homero because he acts, thinks, and looks like a: M.A.N.! I love him.
Fatima
The girl needs real help in this very important moment in her life. Right now, I do not see anyone qualified to help her. Given that she is 18 and unable to make important life decisions (based upon her upbringing and decisions she has made so far) and given that she appears fragile in so many ways, she needs to think very seriously about the ramification of her actions.
I think she is emotionally immature enough that having an abortion could scar her life for a long time to come.
Do you think Ruben and Matilde got married in the Catholic church?
Anywho...Fabiola needs help not advice from well meaning friends/family with their own agendas.
Fatima
Though I'm not an ascot fan, and I know someone else mentioned this, Ric isn't wearing his correctly. They look more like bad man-scarves.
Add me to the list of those who don't know how Maddie got back on the premises. Everyone sees right through her supposed concern for her tia.
Piero's continuing insistence on marrying Fabi is creepy. He wants a do-over more than a wife and poor Fabi is actually younger than her years b/c of the mental/emotional abuse from her mom.
Fatima - ITA that Fabi needs a solid person to talk to about her options. Perhaps we could play guest therapists and talk her through things ;) But seriously, perhaps Lucina is the only one who could kindly walk her through the possibilities.
I agree. Lucina is a good option, but honestly, given Fabiola's history, a credentialed, certified counselor/therapist is what that girl needs. The poor kid is getting too much pressure from friends/family. I think it would be very refreshing for the writers to introduce such a character that would delve into all the issues such as the chance she will have a sick child; her mental and emotional abuse, and inability to stand up for herself.
Sadly, I don't know that the writers want to tackle that with only 40 episodes to go, but I think it would add to the Fabs story.

Homero is great with Ricky’s whining. Wondering if Homero will ever address Ricky’s Ascot Issue.
I don’t know what Fabi should do. To me, she’s still 18 going on 15. She’s a lovely, sweet girl, so if she did have the baby, I feel she would be loving to it regardless of its state. And she’s fortunate to have a loving family – except Matilda - and money and access to the best care for her and the baby. I just hope she doesn’t hold on to Piero as a crutch. Fatima, agree she needs an objective professional. I like Lucina but she’s very opinionated (in a good way) and this needs a delicate hand.
Fatima
I loved this: "he’s about to lose both his shirt and that stylish ascot that he insists on wearing. Ricky doesn’t care. He’s got a thousand other ascots in multiple colors." Because I hate the ascots so! We're outnumbered by ascots!
I'm incredibly annoyed with the characters' reactions to both Fabiola's and Oriana's situations. In Fabiola's case, "might be an issue" has turned into "definitely going to be an issue" as the news gets passed along like a game of telephone. With Oriana, "relapse" has turned into "going to die, like, now." How about waiting to see what actually happens before having the collective freak-out?! Instead, Matilde's pushing abortion and Ric is letting his company tank while he mourns a woman who's not dead yet.
As for Fabiola, I think it's so sad, as Fatima pointed out, that everyone around her has their own agendas, so she doesn't have an objective person to talk to.
Thanks for the comments.
Urban, I don't agree that Fabs should have an abortion. Everyone that I have spoken with that had an abortion at a young age usually feels really guilty about it later OR they end up knocked up again a few months later (especially if they feel pressured into it). She reminds me of those types of girls.
I also think that Piero would be good for her. I think there's a saying that goes...old man's princess, young man's whore. Right? Does anyone remember that? Anyway, Seb might be a jerk, but I think Leo is just as bad. Piero wants to make her respectable and love her, but Leo is still thinking it over. He's annoying me. He sees that she's in distress, if he doesn't want her, he move aside and let someone have her who is certain.
URBAN, also you mentioned on another TN that Robo is Victorian. What style is this TN? Do you know what I'm asking, because I know that I can get confusing.
Ricky wearing ascots really doesn't bother me, but the fact that he ALWAYS wears them is annoying.

I will always love Victor Hugo Cabrera. Every once in a while, we fight and I cheat on him. It's "our thing" as Adriana Noel says. During Abismo de Pasion, I fell in love with Gabino. As soon as the show was over, Victor and I made up again.
I don't know if we will reunite this time. I really think Alejandro is hot. Maybe one day one of them will give a shout out to us here at Caray Caray. I will pass if that ever happens. I really will. LOL

I never thought that I would be the one to say this, but PLEASE NO NOOKIE!!!!!!!!!! I am the one who gets the "pleasure of recapping those episodes". Ricky is my Boo, but I can't tolerate the slurping noises that he and Oriana make. Also, in my opinion, their love scenes are boring. They "French kiss" and nothing else. He doesn't toss her over his shoulder. Their boring. OK, my rant is over.
-- Oriana has a career
-- Lucina and Raquel own and operate a business
-- Paloma has a voice in the running of a company
-- The majority of the men have no problem with any of the above situations
-- Plot requires computers, cell phones, and other technology
-- Plot requires medical information not previously available
I agree that Fabiola needs the help of a trained professional in her situation. She should not be forced into anything by anyone else. However, I believe it would be better for her to have an abortion because of the reasons I stated above. Any guilt trip she would be on after that is temporary; a child is virtually permanent. What she needs is to be able to have a life and one that isn't dictated by MADhilde.
I know most of you don't but feel sorry for Ricardo. He just wants to have a normal relationship with a woman he loves and so many things are interfering with that. But now that he knows that JL was behind the plan to stop Oriana, he's going to be more determined to stop him.
So, will Raquel sleep with Mike? I thinks so, she's such a slut.
Why doesn't Fabiola wait for the test results before she makes a decision? Let me guess, the results will be inconclusive.
I will probably start the Karmageddon memo soon, but will post it two or three weeks before the end, as usual.
This TN continues to keep me enthralled and entertained even as it bumbles into nonsensical territory at so many levels. The medical components are mystifying, the legal aspects are baffling, and the strategical planning is incomprehensible... however this I understood:
"Raquel continues to try to seduce Mike."
Mike, ask César... resistance is futile...
Carlos
I don't understand why JL keeps insisting he is Inez' husband.
I think Mayrim has good chemistry with the actor who plays Mariano. I like them together.
If I were a man and Raquel wrinkled her nose at me, I think I would go for it, but I'm not a man, so all I can think about is the possibility of venereal disease.
I don't think that Mike will fall for Raquel. He's an "undertaker". He knows what the consequences are for messing around with the boss' side piece.
