De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #13 3/26/14

I'm having all kinds of cable/connection issues tonight, so this is going to be kind of crappy. It's all out of order and combined.

  • Natalia can't believe Diego is married. She thinks he would have said something. She tries to ask Albogado about it, but a phone call from Diego interrupts them. Diego asks her to get some contracts from his office and bring them to him. Of course she sees the wedding picture. She's very upset and asks him to transfer her to another department. He balks at that. She tells him to either transfer her or she'll quit. He wonders if it bothers her that he's married. She claims it doesn't.
  • Diego confesses to Albogado that now that he's seen Nat again, his feelings for her have been reawakened. He's sure she feels the same way. He was just really upset by the gossip about her running off with that guy (what was his name again?) and he just married Diana out of spite, though he really did think he loved Diana at the time. Now she's just frivolous and immature. He's ashamed of her behavior with Nat. Albogado thinks Diego needs to talk to Diana and clear things up since that's what married folks do...unless of course Diego is thinking of leaving her.
  • Diana also runs into Nat at the office and makes a huge scene. She tries to physically throw Nat out, but Diego arrives and stops her. Big Soupgate argument. Natalia excuses herself. Diego asks Diana where the sweet woman he married went. Diana claims she's still that woman, but that secretary needs to go. She asks if he's cheating on her. He denies it. Luckily, Diana still doesn't know that Nat is the girl from Tuxpan.
  • Karina wonders if the secretary is the one abuelo was trying to warn Diana about. She tells Diana to stop acting like a shrew and apologize to Nat. That will go a long way with Diego.
  • The judge rejects Albogado's petition to reclassify the charges against Carmen. Albogado will appeal. El wants Jackie and Morales to double their efforts to find the Louse and the Shrimp.
  • Abuelo closes on the beach house and asks the new owner to consider keeping the employees. The new owner will check with his wife.
  • The brothers are free and want to help El look for the Louse. He tells them police work is not just fun and games and turns down the offer.
  • Sexter Olivero hasn't gotten paid for his commercial yet and Diana offers to transfer 2,000 pesos to his account. She accidentally transfers 20,000. He promises to go to the bank and transfer the 18,000 dollar difference back to her. Sure he will.
  • Karina barges into Alonso's office right when Irene was about to tell him about her history with Tadeo. He yells at Karina. Karina offers to be a patient, but he says that's unethical. Karina points out how hypocritical that is if he's treating Irene. Later, Karina runs into Irene outside the building and is a general nuisance. If she said anything important, fill it in please?
  • Irene sees Natalia at Caprico and returns the quartz. Irene is very happy to see Natalia at Caprico. Natalia overhears Diego saying that Natalia is the love of his life.
Avances:
  • Diego asks for a divorce.
  • The Louse gets caught?

Thanks Sara! Even if Diana and Diego get divorced I still don't see Natalia and Diego getting back together until the truth about Rodrigo comes out. It they do before that I think that'd be rather stupid. Natalia still believes Diego's an attempted rapist. I thought the advice Karina gave Diana was calculating, and dare I say, smart. But then she acted the crazy one towards Alonso and Irene and that ended rather quickly.

Cassandra G.

I'm really having trouble wrapping my head around Karina. Sometimes she's an idiot, but other times I see a potential antagonist.

I'm having issues with Natalia right now, too. She does indeed still think Diego tried to rape her. She found out he was still married. Not only married, but to a BSC shrew. Yet she still seems to swoon and moon over him.

Thanks to both Sara and Ms 5ft for the great recaps. I've been reading and watching since day one but it was always so late by the time I had time to read the recap until I thought no one would read it at such a late hour.
Finally I realized that lurking for whatever reason could be misconstrued as lack of interest and it there isn't enough interest you guys might stop recapping the show. So, no matter the hour, I promise to let you both know how much I really appreciate and enjoy what you do.

Thanks so much, Sara!

They really want to drag this misunderstanding out, don't they? I can't believe Diego can't figure out his brother must have done something to Nat.

I thought the scene with Carmen and her two sons was really sweet, with both boys getting weepy but Omar saying men don't cry and Carmen setting him straight about that. Also sweet was the scene between Carmen and her climate. I know Cynthia is really good at being a villain, but I love her in good person roles. She exudes such warmth.

Cellmate not climate!

Natalia even said something about Diego having two faces! (There was even a sound effect!)

You know, I keep thinking they are editing... but if they were I'm pretty sure the Rodrigo issue would have already been cleared up.

Thanks for commenting,Foxy! I'm glad you're watching!

PS I loved Carmen's statement about men crying: the heart has no gender.

Diego also has to find out Natalia is the reason Rodrigo has been out of commission for the past 2 years too.

Diana will have to explain those 20,000 pesos.

Karina was smart for telling Diana to apologize to Natalia in front of Diego to reclaim her "sweet" status.

But Karina was an idiot for barging into Alonso's office, yammering on about nonsense, then later yammering on about nonsense with Irene, then attributing Irene not wanting to talk to her as a result of alcoholism.

I think Karina is a follower. If she follows Diana she will do bad things. If she follows Alonso & Co. she will do good things. I see her developing her crush on Alonso and turning bad to get rid of Irene.

Poor Carmen. But at least her cellmate is nice. Poor cellmate. Her kid doesn't visit her.

How much older is Irene than Diego & Co.? Because I swore I heard either Karina or Irene say something about "siete anos" so I don't know if that's how long its' been since anyone last saw Irene or if Irene is only 7 years older than Diego & Co. It came during the exchange between Irene & Karina where Karina was telling Irene they all looked at her like a mom or something.

Gracias, Sara! I agree...Diana is never getting that $18,000 back from Sexter! Though, it won't get him too far, I don't think. His electric bill amounted to $150 at yesterday's exchange rate, so $1500 isn't exactly enough for him to be set for life. And she buys enough expensive clothing...replaces all the towels throughout the house...would anyone be surprised at $1500 missing from the account? $1500 to her is a slow day!

I wanted to kick Karina in the shins last night. Who barges into an office...ANY office, but especially the office of a doctor of any kind...without knocking? And then tries to act like it's not such a big deal? I'm not thrilled that he's treating Irene, but I think in everyone's mind (except Karina's) since they're not contemporaries and she's been away for so long, they're more like acquaintances than friends, so it's ok. Based on last night's conversation on the sidewalk, yes, Irene is seven years older than the twins and their bros.

I did love Carmen's conversation with the boys about crying!

Thanks for your recap Sara. And ITA w/your comments about the inconsistent characters. Karina is sometimes a clueless airhead and other times rather perceptive. It's just she seems to be at one end or the other which makes it hard to believe her as a complex character.

And Nat as well. I understand love as an emotion but to make it more real she needs to understand the parts of Diego that make no sense and leave her afraid.

I wish there were more women writers/producers though there are no guarantees that these women would significantly alter things.

Carmen's conversation w/her sons was great. I enjoy Cynthia b/c as Vivi noted she can be very bad and very good and does both very well.

I don't know about the writers, but the producer here is female. The same one who did Amorcito Corazón.

Tks Sara

On the phone with a family problem right at the start, so missed 95% of the show. Uvideos is impossible.
Where do you watch the next day?

Who is Karina, just a friend of Diana?

I am ok with this novela, even though things don't make since. A muchacha would not still be mooning over some guy that tried to rape her.
Annnnd dónde está Rodrigo? They are certainly leaving out the hospital cliche. A twin would not be there for his bro????? The whole family plus friends have not gone to the hospital? ¿¿¿Qué what???

Hmm, so that would put Diego & them at around 33, 34 years old.
