EN OTRA PIEL – Part 1

We again see Camila tell Elena, who’s in Seattle, that neither Mondriana nor Gerardo spent the night at home. Plus, Camila also tells her that she knows that Gerardo has a lover and that she overheard a phone conversation he was having with his lover.

Emiliana rants some about Marta having left and no one telling her why.

Diego shoves El Chalado in La Malquerida and, when Martín interferes, Diego says it’s because the gang is extorting Rodrigo and Lupe. After the gang guys leave, Martín tells Diego that the only thing protecting the neighborhood from the other really bad gang, the guys who rob, kidnap and kill, is El Chalado’s gang. They had to make their own rules. Martín also reminds Diego that El Chalado’s gang is protecting Maite and Valeria.

Gerardo and Mondriana are enjoying their time on the beach. He tells her he wants to go live on a small Greek island. Just when they’re having a lovely time, guess who calls? He excuses himself to take the call in the room.

Maite tells Valeria about Carlos having been in the bar and (surprise, surprise) she freaks out.

Elena grills Gerardo about where he slept. He tells her it was at Ernesto’s because he’s uncomfortable at Casa Serrano when she’s not there. [smooth lie!!]

Slimy Ernie shows up to take Camila to lunch, complimenting her so extravagantly that I needed a dose of Pepto Bismol.

Ricardo whines some to his mother about not finding any work and, just then, gets a call about a job at a law firm. We then see Ernie getting a call from Elena about whether the thing with Ricardo is all set up. She then goes on to ask if Gerardo spent the night, but he gets on her last nerve by pretending, in front of Camila, that the call is from some guy about business.

Maite tells Diego that she’s worried about Mónica and that she knows that Mondi always was very protective of those she cares about. Diego jumps to the conclusion that Mondi lied to him about loving someone else to protect him from danger. So I think we can conclude the plan of Diego’s to leave LA is on the back burner.

Carlos shows up on a Saturday at Judge Pervo’s office. Pervo quite sensibly doesn’t want anyone to see a person like Carlos at his office and complains. He tells Carlos he’s about to begin his campaign and has to appear squeaky clean. Carlos tells him he’s located the girls. [What? He wasn’t fooled by Fake Maite?] Carlos asks for Pervo’s help in locating the girls.
 

EN OTRA PIEL – Part 2

Slimy Ernie is sliming all over Camila in the restaurant, sees Ricardo through the window, and grabs Cami’s hand on the pretext of admiring a ring. Ricardo comes in, has one of his hissy fits at Camila and punches out Ernesto. [But he never even tries to go to the job interview that was apparently a ploy?] Ricardo and Camila appear to be broken up for the 23rd time.

Elena calls the house and Emiliana tells her about Marta leaving. She also says that her governess still hasn’t returned and her calls go to voice mail. Looking like a thunder cloud, Elena asks if “Mónica” has a boyfriend. Emi thinks she does but won’t talk about it. After getting off the phone Elena says that, if what she suspects is true, she’ll kill both of them.

Ricardo tells Gabriel that he walked all the way from Santa Monica and is still angry. He says Camila put a knife in his back. Gabriel asks what he was doing in Santa Monica. Ricardo says that, while he was looking for the law office, he saw Camila with Ernesto in a restaurant. Gabriel gets it immediately. “What a coincidence! In a city with so many restaurants, you see those two.”

Elena is back in LA and rants like a crazy woman at a poor, long suffering cabbie. She starts with a long monologue about how men are dogs and how women try and get your man behind your back. Then she rants at the cabbie about having taken her the long way. The guy shows admirable restraint not throwing her out into traffic.

Carlos is gloating to El Pachuco about what a big shot he’s becoming when he gets a call from Judge Pervo. JP has arranged for some cop cars to be on the lookout for Maite and Valeria.

Home at last, Mondriana opens the door to the Guest House and someone claps their hand over her mouth. That’s all we see.
 

AVENIDA BRASIL Seg-feira


Part I

I will just be putting the basics up for this epi, cause I recap Pobres every other Monday and this was my night.

Carm and Max decide to kill them with kindness, just in case there is any backlash over Carm and her cutting Nina.

Jori hears what his Papa has said and is flabbergasted, but doesn't tell Tifon about the marriage. He does impress on Tifon that Nina has a novio though.

Tifon tells Carm he wants a separation from her. No more visits. A true separation. She kind of figures out there is another woman, but has no clue who it is. She begs, she pleads on her knees for Tifon not to abandon her, he's her whole life and love. Tifon is firm, he wants what he wants y punto.

Max takes Ivana out on his yacht, croons all over her, drinks champagne, tells her he misses her and they spend the night. His plan is working, ya know kill them with kindness.

Nina is released from the hospital and goes home with Jori. He is acting strange with her, cause he now knows how Tifon feels about his new bride. Nina doesn't have a clue. She wants to continue to work for a bit for the familia and then go, he wants to go to Californa as soon as possible, far away from there.

Jori goes to Mama L for advice about Tifon. He tells her what was said and how Nina doesn't have a clue, Mama L tells him to take her away and live their destiny.

Santi tells Mama L that they were victims of Carm same as Tifon, Jori and Nina, stop blaming themselves.

Tifon goes to Leleco and tells him that he has separated from Carm and Leleco is very happy, now here is his chance with Nina, trouble is right after Tifon leaves Jori comes and lets Leleco know that he is Nina's novio. Ruh, Roh! Leleco says he is young more women in the sea. Jori tells him no way, has loved her a long time. What to do???? Leleco thinks Dios is crazy!

Tessa takes pity on Darson and goes to see him. He is sick with love for her. He actually has a fever. She has brought him vitamins and other stuff. He swears that what Leleco paid him to dupe Tessa, he will give back to Leleco. Tessa tells him to keep it. She wants to know when he fell in love with her. He tells her it was at the market that day, with the fruit. He strokes her face.

Carlitos' bidnez partners are quitting his firm. They are done, even the secretary abandons him. Carlitos swears he will get all his clients back. He hears a party upstairs, goes to see what is going on and it's Jimmy with all the partners and the secretary. Jimmy has gotten absolutely everything! Carlitos is pithed, chokes Jimmy and is escorted out by security. Carlitos tells all to Ver who is none too pleased. She is done with him. Next he goes to see Noemia, who isn't happy cause now she will have to let her three employees go, her apartment with the air conditioning. She isn't happy with Dudu either. He still hasn't told Alexia. Carlitos talks to Debs about the situation and she tells Ver, if they watch themselves, as in economically everything should be okay. Ver still not with it. No way she is poor.

Ivana tells Tifon now is not the time to be separating from Carm, she is sick in the head and needs him, she advises Tifon he needs to see Carm's Doc too for this decision. He quotes Don Quixote at some point and the man lived his dreams and that is what Tifon wants to do.

Part II

Oh, I forgot the part about Carm's part in killing them with kindness. She tried to seduce Tifon and almost succeeded but it didn't work. Tifon stopped and Agatha came and it was all done by this time.

Carm has gone back to the cabin and Max is there. They are in the bathroom talking about the wedding at Tiradero and Tifon having another woman and Carm swears she will kill whoever it is, when Carm hears someone coming. It's Muricy and Max hides. So Carm puts on her best crying jag, telling Muricy that Tifon has abandoned her, he's in love with another woman and she wails! Muricy says this will not happen!

Jori and Nina have a chat about the separation. She is on her way to work and she tells him that Carm will never allow a divorce from Tifon. He wants her to quit her job and go to California. Have patience she tells him and goes off.

Nina comes back to work and the familia is very happy to have her back. Is she sure her arm has healed enough to be back at work? She has a seat, Tifon asked her to, when Muricy comes and tells Tifon there will be no separation y punto! Not gonna happen! Oi, Oi, Oi!
 

CAMELIA:

As usual, a lot is happening, so corrections and additions are welcome.

Allison finally makes it to civilization, namely San Francisco, where, dirty and exhausted, she comes to her mother's place. Mom proceeds to insult her, won't even let her in. Allison barges in anyway, rushes to Emi, and HE rejects her, since she "abandoned" him. How could you tell him that? she yells at her Mom. But you DID, replies Mom, for that no good Emilio. And there's truth in this. Her Mom also reminds Ali that by abandoning her pollera business, she put people out of work, like Masael (is that his name?).

Speaking of Masael, he's helping Arnulfo and Jacinto get together a bunch of immigrants. They net $18,000 from this, and herd the people into a truck. Something goes wrong, here come the feds! Masael goes to unlock the back door of the truck, those people could die, but Arnulfo says screw them, and Arnie, Jacinto and Masael hustle away, leaving the immigrants trying to get out of the sweltering truck.

Camelia tells Tony that Facundo is "some guy who works for me". They later meet privately, he again tries futilely to get her to leave. He had also met with Carson, and found out that there's an order for Octavio to extradited out of the US. This would mess up Carson, Facundo and Camelia's plans (whatever they are??). Camelia tries snooping around Octavio's office, trying to find some proof of his dirt, but he catches her. He's mad, but she produces the order of extradition, and says she has contacts, and can help him. But he has to help her.

So he shows her a picture. It's Octavio, Wilson, and a woman. Seems that when Wilson failed to protect the head of Interpol, which was in Europe somewhere, it not only messed up his career, but also the career of the woman. Her name is Natasha, she's a trained agent, but she's been hiding out as a nun for 10 years! That's who Wilson has been secretly visiting (Carson also gets some of this info from Wilson's bank accounts, he's been sending her money). So Camelia goes to the convent, Natasha puts a chokehold on her, and Camelia has to talk her way out of a jam again! She says she wants to HELP Natasha. I think she gets out of this, goes back to Octavio's.

Tomasa does tell Benigno that the stripes were from General U. But how can they bring him down? They decide to use Tomasa as bait. Benigno releases her from jail, telling the who town there was no proof. That night, he gets his gun ready, in case the General attacks Tomasa.

Meanwhile, Lu tries to put her problems behind her, sexily lowering her robe in front of Antonio, and they start making love. But in the middle, she flashes back and pulls back, she just can't! Antonio knows someone must have raped her. She won't say who, but when Antonio asks if Benigno knows, her body language says yes. Antonio confronts Ben, tell me the truth, dammit! Ben says I don't have time, I have something very important to do! Antonio won't hear of it, hits him a few times, who raped Lu?

Benigno finally squeaks out that it was General U, and they've got to run now, to save Tomasa. They're too late, the General has choked her to death!

Back at the ranch, Octavio is angry at Camelia, but all of a sudden, things are going black. Why? Alma had been putting little things in her matchbox, and later putting them in Octavio's coffee. Could they be drugs? Poison? She is one resourceful little girl!

since Benigno never did spill with the whole truth, and certainly not in time to help Tomasa, I wouldn't mind Antonio pounding on him some more.

$18k for a pollera run sounds pretty good but I'm beginning to see that there are a lot of wheels that need to be greased to make that happen, and I don't think Arulfo will be getting many repeat customers. (interesting how Jacinto always goes to do the right thing, and needs to be corrected by Arulfo)

little Alma crawling along checking the cracks and corners, I'm wondering if her pellets aren't just rat turds, or maybe the poison to control them.

 

AVENIDA BRASIL TRC-feira

Part I

Muricy gives Tifon hell over this separation, did he think of his familia, his kids, and who is the other woman? Mona Lisa? Nopis, just for himself and no other woman. Nina hears this and Ivana is going to the cabin to see Carm.

Carm is busy with Max. Carm is still wanting to know who this other woman is. She doesn't eva want to be poor again. He tells her Tifon would give her an awesome settlement. She doesn't want that, she wants Tifon. Carm wants him to go back and live in the house and be her eyes and ears to find out who this woman is. Max doesn't want to go back and see Nina.

Mama L and the kids are having dinner and Nilo comes, he wants his kids back. Makes the kids go he wants a chat with Mama L. He is eating of course. Is she happy that Nina ended up in the hospital? What does he want Mama L asks him? Nina has gotten rid of Carm from the mansion, marries Jori now what is she gonna do?

Carm is hungry now but doesn't want to eat what Zeze has made. She asks Max if he has any lana, and now Ivana comes. Max has to hide, but he listens. Max is laughing behind the door. Carm asks after Max how are they doing and Carm cries about Tifon. She is nothing and not complete without Tifon and her familia. She tells Ivana to get with Max and be happy. Is it Carm's fate to be all alone and forgotten? Now she wants to know who this woman is? Ivana lies and says she doesn't know.

Nina comes home and Jori is so happy to see her, he missed her. Says that Tifon is separated from Carm and does he know who this woman is that Tifon is interested in? He doesn't know he says. He tells her he has been looking at houses in San Diego, CA for them.

Silas and Tifon are at the Divino bar and there is a game of soccer between the older guys and the Barrio boys and their friends, even Aduato plays. I think the younger guys win.

Nina is going to work and Jori again tells her to give up the job and go with him to California. She tells him all in good time.

Carlitos finally has come to tell Alexia about the bankruptcy. She isn't very happy and Paloma suggests that she could sell cupcakes again. And oh, by the way, the apartment she lives in she doesn't own it is rented. Didn't he think to look at everything he signed? Carlitos claims he was too busy with all three women! Paloma also suggests economizing like her sissy Deb said.

Jori is at home when Carm visits. She tries to fill his head with very negative things about Nina. She has stolen everything from Carm. Nina is evil, yadda, yadda, but Jori isn't listening. Carm has done far worse things than Nina. She tries to explain her relationship with Max all those years ago at Tiradero when they were young and Jori thinks she is trying to copy his same story. Carm has cheated on Tifon, with Max in his own house y punto, now get out, he won't listen to her claptrap! She goes.

Jan answers the phone at the mansion and confirms a reservation for Tifon this evening, a reservation for two at Gino y Gina restaurant.

Later Tifon and Nina are all dressed up and he tells the familia he is taking Nina to the commercial center and they go off.
 

AVENIDA BRASIL TRC-feira

Part II

Tifon has taken Nina to the restaurant. He orders whiskey and with some prodding Nina orders a Bloody Mary. Tifon says he is now taking charge of his life. She is happy for him and she has some news she is getting married. Tifon is in shock and she talks honeymoons. Nina can see there is something bothering Tifon and asks what it is? He is very worried she's leaving and she tells hims he wants to open her own restaurant. He asks if they have set a date, wait a bit he says. Agatha needs her. Nina understands but will have to go, and she thinks of Tifon as a Papa. Tifon so isn't happy with that.

Jori calls Nina and leaves a voice message and Mama L comes. He fills her in on Carmina's theatrical performance against Nina. Jori is really worried about Tifon cause he is the only one now, besides the familia who doesn't know the truth about Carm and who Nina really is. Jori calls the house and gets Agatha. She tells him where Tifon and Nina are. He is really worried.

Familia at dinner having pasta and Carm comes. After hemming and hawing she wants to eat with them and goes into the kitchen with Jan, gets the reservation from the notepad in the kitchen and is off.

Tifon and Nina talk and he tells her a story about Fouquet a chef in Louis the XVI's court. He read it in a book. He wants to go there on vacay and take a gastronomical tour, all the great food and wine of France. Nina says it sounds romantic and he ought to go. He wants a woman to go with him though. But this woman doesn't know he likes her. Carm sees them at the restaurant and is pithed. They continue talking and Tifon has a surprise for her. He gives her a music box that plays "Rock A Bye Baby" and she cries. She remembers her Papa Genesio. She thanks him and Carm goes she can't take it.

The familia is playing cards when Jori comes by, asking for Tifon. He's out with Nina and they tell him Carm came by. Jori goes and it's back to cards.

Tifon and Nina and she keeps calling him Senor. He finally tells her he wants her to go with him on this tour. Tifon tells her she needs to know something but he doesnt' tell her. She enjoyed herself and they go. She wanted to pay half the bill but he wouldn't let her.

Tifon comes home alone and Muricy tells him everybody and their brother was looking for him, Carm and Jori. Muricy wants a word with Tifon. He goes upstairs.

Nina comes home to Jori who is overjoyed to see her. Everything is okay she tells him is there a problem? Nopis, and they get busy. Later, Nina tells him it will be a process to leave. How did Tifon take it that she was getting married? Okay she tells Jori. She says Tifon is like her Papa. Now Jori has to go off and does. They are very happy.

Familia is at breakfast and Ivana commands attention and tells them Max and she are back together and Max is moving back in. Tifon isn't very happy.
 

AVENIDA BRASIL TRC-feira

Part III

Tifon and Agatha have a chat. He wants to know how she is feeling about the separation. She's good with it, even though she loves her Mama, she is happy that Tifon is happy. Tifon is happy to hear it.

Carm goes to the cabin and witches at Max about seeing Tifon and Nina at the restaurant and now he's in love with that Rita! Max really doesn't think that Rita/Nina is doing anything to cheat Tifon out of anything. Carm disagrees and thinks Nina has stolen Max, her family and now Tifon from her. Max thinks Carm is jealous about Tifon and now Carm wants to make sure that Tifon and Jori know about this.

Alexia and the wives are together with the kids and Alexia's Mama. They are all witching about selling their abodes. The cars got confiscated cause they were in the company's name. Also Ver and Noemia blame Alexia for all this and want her to sell her place. She informs them she has less than they do. Long story short, there is a suggestion that all three familias live together. More arguing but Carlitos is down with that.

Nina is out shopping for food for the familia when Max comes up and says oh, so you and Tifon uh?

Carm has come for another visit as Tifon has just come home. She wants a word. They go upstairs and now she wants the truth, why did he really leave her? She wants an explanation. She says she can see with all her problems and her past why he wanted to separate, but she has been a good and faithful wife, yeah, yeah, sure, sure! Did they separate because of another woman? He tells her no, he needed time and space away from her. She lets him know she saw him in the restaurant with another woman, is she the one? It's Nina he tells her. His own employee, that works for them in his own house? He tells her that he is in love with Nina, and has been for a long time. Oi, Oi, Oi!
 

Camelia

the english captions are great, but also watching this a second time allows me to see a little more of the big picture.

Alma's plan, seems to be to cozy up to her aunt and uncle, Dani/Octavio, so that they trust/ignore her, all the while working on Camelia to take her home, once you meet Antonio, you will realize that he is a good man. (meanwhile as she pretends to be scared of the rat, Camelia takes her to get more poison to spread around in the kitchen, where I think she was later on, recovering the pellets, she seems to know them by their smell)

Arulfo's plan, freely working Tijuana, he has sent extortion money to Octavio, blaming Antonio for losing the merchandise, showing that he has initiative, and he has upped the ante on the pollo business by having Miseal find him a whole truck load of people.

Antonio is totally stalled with the presence of the army, Octavio is tired of hearing his excuses, he says he will take care of it, but for now puts Alacran in charge of growing more mota, Mireya wants to help.

Wilson's plan is to extradite Octavio to the U.S. where he will stand trial, getting him out of the game.

Facundo's plan, is that if Octavio is extradited, he will not be able to testify against his own people and Facundo won't be able to nail the people behind "Operation Condor", so he wants to get Wilson out of the country, Carson seems to be helping.

Benigno's plan, he tells the General he has released Tomasa because he had no proof, but she will make a statement in the morning that will help to catch the real killer, therefore she will stay the night at town hall, (setting her up as bait).

meanwhile Dani is keeping a close eye on Camelia so that she doesn't get too close to her man, Octavio is keeping a close eye on Camelia because she intrigues him, Camelia asks Facundo if he thinks Dani is sexy, he says he has another girl in mind, and later when they part, he gives her a flower, ooo, did Camelia's eyes twinkle.

Camelia meets Natasha, a former interpol agent, hidden away in a convent helped by annual contributions from Wilson, why?, Camelia explains, I want your help.

and poor, poor Alison, her mother totally runs her down with nothing she can't agree with, including abandoning the family business and all of the people that worked and depended on them, meanwhile emilio is playing with his toy soldiers, killing some because they are Chinese.

(is Dani the only novela star that never wears heels, except of course on her wedding night)

 

"El Señor de los Cielos" 2

the first segment of the 'secret chapter', is up (7 minutes, no captions), and it looks like at the time of the face operation where Aurelio died, his body was switched with another that was already prepped with all of Aurelio's identifiable body marks, interesting seeing the old gang again.

At the breakfast table Muricy expresses her certainty that Leleco is behind Tifón's separation from Carmina. She starts to praise Carmina's virtues and Adauto finishes it for her:

Adauto: "...a dignified woman, an honest, Christian woman, a role model for motherhood."
Muricy: "You too, Adauto?"
Aduato: "It's what you say every day."
Leleco: "High five!!!"

I also watched the "secret episode", and it reminded me of how much I hate those guys! I was so happy Turco and Ximena escaped in the original, but here we go again. I'm sure I'll watch, of course.

Thanks, novelera. I didnt understand what was happening when Elena asked the woman to make the call. Now i see it was to Ricardo to cause more trouble. Im also surprised that mondriana is suspicious tht Gerardo always wants to run away... effectively leaving her daughters behind.

Now to my own thoughts. Nina has already told Tifon she feels like he is a Papa to her. Where does he go from here? Will he still stay separated from Carm?

Will Carm really spill to Jori about Tifon and will she tell Tifon about Nina and Jori? Jori already knows how Tifon feels, even though Carm doesn't know that.

And what is Max up to? Cornering Nina like that at the market?

We still don't know this terrible secret that Mama L and Santi are keeping about Carm's past. I wonder what deed she did that was so evil that Mama L and Santi feel responsible and guilty over? I can't wait to find out!
 

En Otra Piel:
A tardy thanks, Novelera, for your recap of Monday's episode.
Last night, Elena almost shot Diego who was visiting Mondriana. Poor Diego was there to tell Mondriana that he figured out that she was pretending that she didn't know him etc to protect him from Carlos. Elena tells Gerardo that Diego is Mondiana's lover and now he is jealous of Diego. It's not easy being in someone else's body!

I guess Carlos got the pervy judge to have the police looking for Maite and Valeria.
 

CAMELIA:

Camelia had not escaped Natasha, who uses her training to almost break Cami's hand, choke her, etc. Cami tells who she is, says she's not working with anyone, but knows stuff about Wilson. We see some flashbacks to 1961, Natasha and Wilson in a hotel bed, before the head guy they were guarding got killed. I think the bad guys threatened Natasha's mother. Back in the present, she tells Cami that she dumped Wilson, not he her. She won't talk further, because they could be heard. In fact, Cami has to spend the night at the convent, and when she doesn't return, Facundo freaks out. But Carson says chill.

In the morning, Cami still can't get a chance to talk much to Natasha with the Mother Superior right there (Natasha says Cami's her niece), but when Cami leaves, she puts a piece of paper in Natasha's hand, which says something like "the bird flies at midnight". Or did Natasha put that in Cami's hand? Not sure.

We know that Carson, Facundo and Cami want to get rid of Wilson somehow, and maybe by Natasha. Since her weak point is her mother (Cami overhears her praying about that), maybe that'll help.

Antonio is livid that the bum General U has killed Tomasa. He has Alacran gather 15 men, and they go to the General's hotel. But some spy tells the General, and he gets his whole company ready. When Antonio arrives, the shooting starts. Antonio takes out a few of the soldiers, but the soldiers have the high ground, and several of Antonio's men are killed or wounded. He's hit in the hand. They retreat, and Lu helps treat the wounds. Mireya helps too. Now what?

Those immigrants in the truck DID die, Arnulfo doesn't care, but the news gets all the way to San Francisco, and this makes Allison feel even worse.

Yes, Alma has been collecting rat poison pellets. Octavio feels terrible, and Daniela (after first appearing in lingerie and HEELS, rare for her), gets him examined by a doc, who just thinks it's an infection, they took a culture. Alma is trying to find out the future by purposely dreaming, going to sleep with questions just asked.

Benigno as usual counsels calm, what can they do to the General, and he's probably got reinforcements on the way. Then we need to hit him before they get here, says Antonio. We need to get him to OUR territory, but how? Alacran has a plan. He dresses as a soldier, goes to the hotel, takes a tank of some kind of gas, runs a tube under the door, and the three soldiers inside lose consciousness. Alacran then kidnaps the Sargent, takes him back to Antonio's ranch, ties him up.

Of course Antonio is really mad because he thinks General U raped Lu. Lu tries to correct him (it was really Ruiz), but he quiets her before she can get it out.

We also had a nice scene between Wilson and Carson, reminiscing on how they got into the business. They both liked guns. Carson's Dad was a carpenter, but he didn't follow in his footsteps because nobody taught him, and he wasn't that good at it anyway. One day I think his father was killed by a hit and run driver, and then Carson joined the force. Wilson asks, it was a a damn wetback, right? Nope, says Carson, it was my brother! (I may have this a little wrong). These two guys are pretending to be pals, when they both hate each others' guts.

Part I

So now Carm has gotten her answer. She is in disbelief. That employee. Don't tell her Carm tells him. Carm is the only one for Tifon. Carm also tells Tifon that Nina is not who he thinks she is. Carm says she doesn't want to be alone the rest of her life. She screams and cries and runs downstairs and tells the familia to ask Tifon who this muchacha is and goes. Muricy wants to know but he won't say, he's thinking of his own happiness and goes back upstairs.

Max and Nina in the shop and he thinks she is trying to get one over on Tifon like she did to Max. He asks if she is in love with Tifon, no she considers him a Papa. Max says he came back to the mansion for Nina cause he missed her and thinks Nina gets off on going crazy over her. He goes and she calls him an idiot.

Nilo and Mama L have a chat. Says so Max went back to the mansion and that Jori isn't happy. And Carm and Tifon have separated because of another woman? Nilo figures out it is over Nina. Nilo thinks this is Nina's revenge, taking all of Carm's men. Nilo thinks the sins of the past are being repeated and Nina is bad. Mama L kicks him out.

Leleco and Tifon are having a chat about Nina. Leleco is so happy that he separated from Carm and Tifon tells him about that trip to France. He also tells him he was about to tell Nina he loved her at dinner, but he didn't. Jori has also come for advice but lets his Papa speak. He finds out Carm now knows about Nina being the one he left Carm for. Tifon also thinks this novio of Nina's doesn't exist. Jori keeps his mouth shut. Leleco also tells Jori to help his Papa out with Nina!!! After Tifon goes, Leleco urges Jori to tell Carm that Nina is far better for Tifon than she is! Jori thinks he is crazy. Should he now tell Nina to go for his Papa, his own novia. Not gonna happen. Leleco tries to tell Jori he is young can find someone else, whereas Tifon is getting older and won't find someone like Nina. Jori says he is not giving up Nina y punto!


Carm has gone to the cabin and is pithed that Nina is the muchacha. Carm calls Max for a meet. She tells him about what Tifon said about Nina. He wants to let Tifon know how Nina is a ho and who she really is.

Nina comes home and she tells Jori about her run in with Max. Says he is back at the mansion. He wants to leave for California. Nina can see he is upset and he tells her that Tifon is in love with her. Nina doesn't believe it. Jori tells her his Papa told him when she was in the hospital. He never told Nina cause he is afraid he will lose her to Tifon. No way she says. I am yours, only yours. She feels he is right about going, will set her affairs in order and resign her job. She says today is the last day she enters the mansion as an employee, the next time she goes there, she will go as Jori's wife. They kiss.

Jan and Nina are in the kitchen and Nina tells her she is resigning. Jan not happy.

Part II

Ivana comes to visit Jori. She tells him about Tifon leaving Carm for Nina and how bad a person Nina really is. Jori tells her Tifon may be in love with Nina, but she isn't in love with him. She's in love with Jori, he is her novio. Shock from Ivana.

Max and Carm have gotten busy, and promise to be strong cause now Tifon is gonna pay double and now they want to plan the downfall of Tifon and Nina.

Nina is packing her stuff and Tifon comes in and shuts the door. Jan is listening at said door. Nina says she is resigning and Tifon says no, he's in love with her, don't leave. He was gonna tell her last night, but she told him about her novio. Tifon says he's been in love with Nina since she came to work for them. He asks her to marry him! She can't marrying another. He wants her to think about them, he's so in love with her. She says she is resigning and continues to pack. He cries and Nina cries and he goes.

Ivana is very upset and thinks Carm was right about Nina being a manipulator. Ivana says she really needs to stop making friends on the internet. Ivana goes on and on about Nina being bad. Jori disagrees with her. He also tells her not to say anything about he and Nina being novios. Good luck with that. Ivana goes.

Jan is now giving Nina heck thinking Nina is manipulating Tifon. Nina tells her no, not that at all. Jan can't decide if Nina is the devil or an angel. Nina says she is leaving.

Nina goes to see Agatha and admires a picture that Agatha drew. She tells Agatha she is leaving but not forever. Agatha will see her again. Agatha doesn't take it well. She does tell Agatha she loves her.

Nina is getting ready to leave and bids the familia farwell they will miss her and they hug her, even Ivana. Tifon comes out and tells her to think about what he said. She leaves.

Tifon is now thinking and Max comes. Tifon wants to be alone but Max wants to give advice. Max says he knows that Tifon is in love with this employee and left Carm for her. Tifon isn't listening to his crap and goes.

Suelen and Roni and she's wanting some Roni but he has to go. She goes on the roof and takes the hose and hoses herself when Leandro comes. Suelen slimes on Leandro and they end up doing it. Later, Dio, Roni and Leandro are at the Roperia. Roni and Leandro have a chat where he confesses all. Roni isn't even surprised and says that Suelen is Leandro's. Que???????

Nina is home when Jori comes and sees her things. He's happy she finally quit that job. She is upset and he tells her he's called the travel agency for that trip to California. She tells Jori that Tifon asked her to marry him! She is in shock and tells Jori she is not marrying Tifon. She loves Jori and no one else, but feels so responsible for what has happened. She feels so bad for leaving. She doesn't want Jori to be separated from his Papa. He tells Nina they really have to leave, otherwise there will be ways for Nina and him to be separated and he doesnt' want that.

Part III

Tifon and Agatha have another chat about the separation. She is still happy that he is happy, but if he remarries she wants to live with him. She tells him she isn't happy that Nina is now gone.

Carm comes to Jori's and he's out but Nina is in. She gives Nina all kinds of hell. She threatens Nina with telling all about Nina to Tifon and how much of a ho Nina is and she'll also tell Tifon that Nina took that money from the kidnap. Nina will tell Tifon all too about Carm and Max. Nina tells her to go. Not leaving till she speaks to Jori, who finally comes home. Carm announces all about Tifon to Jori, but you see he already knew. Carm still goes on and on about Nina being bad. Jori tells Carm she is the ho, cheating on Tifon with Max in his own house! He wants her to go. She says she loves him, Tifon and the familia. She wants to save her boy from this ho. She finally goes and Nina locks up behind her. Jori says that Carm said all those things to separate him from Nina and that's not gonna happen.

Olenka has a rat at her place and Aduato saves the day by killing it.

Suelen and Roni and Leandro. They discuss what happened. Suelen isn't happy, but Roni says they can live like an orgy? I think that's what he said. They can both have Suelen. Leandro isn't down with that and wants to go, but changes his mind. Suelen is not down with this, she is married to Roni y punto. Leandro and Roni leave.

At the cabin Max tells Carm that Nina quit her job and that Tifon is upset. Carm says it's time for her to reveal Nina as the one that got the money from the kidnap. Max thinks the money is in Argentina or that it was her inheritance and not that lana. Carm thinks there was never an inheritance.

Jori and Tifon in Divino at the soccer field and he tells Jori that Nina quit. Jori tells him to forget about her and find someone else.

Leleco and Tessa are talking when Muricy waves at him from outside. He sends Tessa to get some salt and wants to know why Muricy is there. She wants to know the name of this woman that Tifon left Carm for. He doesn't tell at first and then finally says it's Nina. Muricy is way beyond shocked, Tessa comes back and there is chaos!

So Carm and Max's venganza commences and Max is on the prowl for Begonia and finds her in a bar. He talks her up and she seems to like him. She introduces herself but he does not.

The familia is gathered in the sala when Muricy comes in shouting at Tifon and says so you left Carm for this chef??????? Everyone is stunned! Oi, Oi, Oi!!!

this show was pretty simple but there were a few details,

an interesting conversation, Benigno pleading with Antonio to do things legally, I am the law, Antonio says, and it is your job as mayor to erase what I do.

as Wilson/Carson got a room, Wilson got a nice double bed while Carson got a cot, and in their conversation I think Carson said it was his dad's brother that ran into him, killing him when Carson was only only 11.

the Arulfo and Jacinto meal is interrupted, (Jacinto puts salsa on everything, the food is too spicy for Arulfo, so Jacinto will eat it all) , with news that all of the pollas died, Jacinto wants to go and... do what Arulfo says, "there is no cure for bad luck", referring to them, (business is good for him, he has the $18,000), later he calls Octavio and wants to meet, and no Octavio hasn't heard anything from Antonio.

and when Natasha was questioning Camelia, cutting off the blood to her hand, she was also monitoring Camelia's pulse to see if her answers were true, and they never do find the chance to talk, but Camelia finds Natasha in the chapel late at night praying, and we hear her asking for the protection of her mother, her family, and Wilson, "wherever he might be", and later that day Camelia is forced to leave the convent, but she slips Natasha a small piece of paper, later at the warehouse with Facundo and Carson, Camelia talks about what a smart cookie Natasha is, but she slipped her the address of this place, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Wilson gets a telegram, Natasha shows up and they sleep together, (pillowtalk) Natasha got into the business for the betterment of her family, Wilson wants to run away together, live as normal people, Natasha reminds him that they will never get away, Wilson says he is willing to take any punishment, Natasha says, not me. When leaving Natasha sees and reads the telegram, and takes notes.

later we see Natasha talking on the phone to her mom, are they hurting you, are they giving you your medication, are they.... but the call is switched to Octavio, did you get what I asked, yes, "midnight birds fly".

[but we don't have all of the story yet, we do have a picture of Octavio/Natasha/Wilson together, but why does Octavio hate Wilson, and why is Natasha hiding in a convent that Wilson visits, but she knows nothing about]


as Alma goes to bed she asks her mommy to help her dream, help her to see what happened to you and dad, so I can make justice, apparently this is why she is poisoning Octavio, but is she really sure, as her doll sleeps with it's eyes opened.


I have to keep reminding myself what a proud man Antonio is, not a good idea attacking the General, but there he stood calling the General out, while the General peeked through the curtains, and ordered a rain of bullets, the only reason Antonio retreated is when Benigno reminded him that if he died the soldiers would have their way with his wife,

and the new plan, to get the General out in the open, before, he gets reinforcements, which he has ordered, Alacran, always so cool, remembers the gas that they put the horses to sleep with, and the guy he kidnapped, Sgt. Loyola, the same guy that warned the General of Antonio's attack, and when they spoke earlier on the phone, the General told him, no need to call me general in private, COUSIN, you can call me Francisco.

EN OTRA PIEL, Wed. pt1

Guest house:
Gerardo questions Monica about the guy in her room. She tells him Diego was there to tell him something important. He wants to know what problem, but she gets mad at his lack of trust. He’s still getting annoyed that she won’t tell him what’s up. She asks him to respect her privacy as she respects his (which she shouldn’t).

Lorena interrupts to let her know Selma is there, while Ger hides in the bathroom.

Barrio:
Jennifer begs approval from Marta. Marta approves. They chat, eat ice cream, etc.

Mansion:
Elena interrupts and wants to chat with Monica before she leaves with Selma. She apologizes about the whole almost shooting an innocent guy thing. Mondriana still defends Elena’s actions, even though she would have just called the cops.

Barrio:
Ricardo is all mopey. Boo hoo. His dad tries to reason with him, but why bother?

Diego is talking to Maite and Vale when Mondri and Selma show up. Diego tries to excuse himself but Vale asks him to stay. Mondri tells them they can stay with Selma for their safety. Maite wants tot stay for her job since she can’t get another so easily without papeles. Diego talks Vale into going with Selma, even though she feels safer with him near- (can’t blame her for that one)-but she agrees to go. Now Diego is mopey while the girls pack. Selma excuses herself so he and Mondri can talk. She tells him he’s a good man, and he tells her he’ll never stop loving her. Lupe interrupts and gets the scoop about Vale leaving, but Maite is going to stay. Diego is all kinds of sadness.

Mansion:
Elena goes to talk to Ger. I didn’t catch what she said, but I assume it’s something bitchy.

Ernesto shows up and gives Elena the scoop on the mess-with-Ricardo scheme. She tells him Camila is out by the pool and wishes the Matador luck. He goes out there and tells her about having tickets for an Adele concert, but Cami is busy hangin’ with Emi, and doesn’t want her to leave her alone. Emi tells her she’s nuts, so Cami has a date! But Emi tells him next time he better have 3 tickets.

Susanna is having problems cooking dinner. It’s not her thing and Vicki isn’t feeling well and is in bed. Elena gets snippy (per usual) and says she’ll go out. Meanwhile, Susanna fills Lorena in on Vicki’s sleep-talking. Lorena gets suspicious, and goes to talk to Vicki. Vicki is getting ready to go back to work, but Lorena asks her how her brother-in-law really died. Apparently she never knew. Vicki is worried about getting fired, but Lorena calms her down and promises no one is getting fired. Vicki doesn’t really know anything (she says) but tells her about Julian falling off the horse. Then Vicki rushes out and Lorena knows she’s hiding something. (Like it matters since Lorena won’t do anything).

Barrio:
Diego goes to see Ricardo, who is still grumpy. Bad day in the barrio, I guess. At least Gabriel is happy. Diego gets some Rodrigo therapy. He tries to also explain the extortion racket and how it actually helps the neighborhood keep the peace (ish). And they are apparently keeping the drugs out. Rod tries to convince him to work with the gang, even if he can’t be their friend.

 

EN OTRA PIEL, Wed. Part 2

Selma’s:
They show up with the girls and introduce them to Eileen. Maite still refuses to stay because of her job, but Eileen perks up when she finds out there’s gossip. She welcomes them to the house. Maite wants to change her looks to better hide, and Eileen gets extra happy! She’s an expert in all that. “Y eso con que se come?” (Mexican for “what chu talkin’ about, Willis”?, lit. what do I eat that with?) They go off for a MAKEOVER!

Mondi and Selma go out to lunch to meet the rep of the guy who owns the land. Before he gets there, they chat. Mondri wants to correct the error she thinks she made with the will and fix things for her girls. The rep shows up. The owner is moved by her letter, but it’s still no sale.

Mansion:
Elena is going out for dinner, and Lorena asks her what happened with Julian. Elena pours her a drink and encourages her to drink it. (Why hasn’t Lorena dumped all the alcohol?) Then Elena drops a bombshell. She says that Julian liked them young, and that SHE is one of his victims. Lorena isn’t having it, but Elena says he seduced her, made her his lover when she was 20, promising that he’d leave Monica for her. But he was just playing with her. She fell in love, but when she asked him when he’d leave Monica, he said no way would he ever leave Mo for someone like Elena. Lorena demands that she not lie (reasonable assumption), but she continues that this is why she hated her aunt so much. Lorena asks what she did when he turned her down.

FLASHBACK: Elena telling Julian that he’s not going to do this to her, and when he turns his back on her, she gets mad and as he calls her crazy, she throws a rock and hits him on the head. (Yep. Lying).

Back to reality, Lorena wants to know what happened. Elena says it was divine justice, but I’m not clear if she told Lorena about the rock. (Probably not).

A little later, emi goes in to Lorena’s room but Lorena is already passed out, or pretending to be asleep. She wakes up and takes a bottle from under the bed and drinks up.

Barrio:
Ricardo is bugging his mom and her and Rod’s relationship. It was all great in the beginning and when Ricardo was born. But his dreams were crushed and he couldn’t be brought back up. Marta apologizes for passing on her bitterness to Ricardo and hopes he can fix their relationship. Etc.

Cemetery:
Mondriana is at Julian’s grave, crying about how she failed him and the girls by not leaving them the vineyards. She doesn’t remember much about him, but thinks they had a good relationship and that Camila adores him. She asks for his help.

Mansion:
Vicky and Susanna are eating when Elena interrupts. She kicks out Susanna to talk to Vicki. She demands to know exactly when she told Lorena.

Office:
Carlos has made himself comfortable in Gerardo’s office. He’s there to check out the finances of “our” business.

Cemetery:
Mondri is about to leave with Selma, but she forgot one little thing. She goes back to her own grave, and sees (the brother who’s name I can’t remember again- Jorge?). he’s at her grave crying, and telling her gravestone that she’s the one true love of her life! Whoa. (But good! There’s someone for her when she -hopefully- takes over Elena’s body and Gerardo goes to jail, or dies or something. Whatever. This brother is a good looking gentleman who looks like he would never have an affair with a sociopath).

AVENIDA BRASIL, Quarta-feira

Great episode! I was particularly moved by Nina's conversations with Tifón and Ágata. You could see Tifón's heart breaking when she turned down his marriage proposal. And poor Ágata-Nina has been the best friend she ever had. I hope Nina and Jorgito will be able to return after Tifón gets over this crush on Nina. As don Quixote said at the end of that massive work:

"I was crazy; now I'm sane."

I very much agree with you about this episode. It was very well done and I too really felt for Tifon. The Agatha/Nina convo was very sweet and you can tell Nina really thinks of her as a little sister.

Now to my own thoughts: How is it that Carm and Max think they can blame Nina for taking the kidnap money without implicating themselves? Nina can still send Tifon those pics of Carm and Max even from a burner phone. He'd never know where they came from. I'd like to see Carm and Max explain themselves out of that one. I want to see what Carm does next. I am also really hoping that Nina gave Begonia a heads up about Max and what he is capable of. I don't want to see Begonia hurt to get back at Nina. I also wonder what is gonna happen when Tifon finds out that Nina is really Rita. What will his reaction be? Oi, Oi, Oi!
 

CAMELIA:

I really like this show. It's like the wild, wild west (well except for the Puerto Ricans, the Russian woman, and the fact that it's 1973). I like the way they always surprise us. And I love that hokey cowboy music they bring in for key scenes.

Last night they announced we're in the etapa culminante. ¡Sí, señor!

Allison's Mom says she's taking Emi back to Tijuana, and restarting the pollera business that Ali ruined. Ali says no way, it's too dangerous, but Emi wants to go too, so she's overruled. They're going. Uh oh!

Jacinto continues to amuse, talking on the phone as Arnie's secretary, he stupidly says Arnie's private stuff into the phone, and when Arnie asks what happened, instead of asking the guy on the phone, Jacinto says I don't know, boss.

Octavio recovers from the rat poison, Alma gives him some more. Wilson is happy to find that the extradition order was approved, and Octavio is arrested. He smashes the coffee cup. He wants to talk to his lawyer, but the Fed who arrested him says you watch too many movies. Later, Dani sees a dead mouse, remembers Alma's matchbox, and realizes Alma has been poisoning Octavio. She yells at her, at has a guard watch her.

Antonio convinces Benigno that need to fight, for their honor. The brothers and Alacrán hole up in the ranch, hoping for a strategic advantage over General U and his army. Everyone hears about this upcoming battle, including Octavio, Arnulfo, and the Governor. The soldiers greatly outnumber the cowboys. Alacrán locks Lu and Mireya in Antonio's office for their protection. Lu gets out two guns, one for each of them.

Unfortunately, things don't work out. Benigno is shot in the chest. We hear that Antonio (and I think Alacrán, maybe Benigno if he's alive) have been taken prisoner, although we don't see this. All the other cowboys were killed! The General breaks the lock to the office, strides in, Mireya points his gun at him. He stares her down, takes the gun, and points it at HER. Just as it looks as if he'll fire, Lu puts her gun at HIM. Drop it, buddy, she snarls. Outside, the Governor arrives to see all the dead bodies.

Meanwhile, Camelia and Facundo are discussing strategy, Cami hoping that Natasha will show up, Facundo wanting to leave, being rewarded with a big kiss from Camelia (but she's not leaving). Natasha does show up, points a gun at them, ties them up. Luckily, Carson shows up, too, and while he and Natasha stare each other down, Cami frees herself, hits Natasha over the hit with a club. So they tie HER up. Carson says she won't help. Cami disagrees. She says that Natasha will die if she doesn't help them (get Wilson), because now her cover is blown, and Interpol will get her.

We also flash back to Wilson blaming Natasha for the death of the guy he was guarding, and for hundreds more deaths, all because she wanted to save her mother (from Octavio!). Wilson tells her I never want to see you again. Octavio shows up (this is in 1961), and he says he'll kill them both. To be continued.

Back in the present, Wilson gets a call, he thinks it's about Octavio's extradition, but it's from Natasha, whom he thought was dead!

Again with the jealous guy! I often wonder if this is a Latino culture thing. Any man in my life who has demonstrated suspicious jealousy soon finds himself out of my life entirely. But nearly all the galanes in novelas are very jealous of the protagonistas. Gerardo was positively hostile. And Mondi just kept trying to placate him. Of course, it doesn't help that we know he's continuing to have sex with Elena!

JayJay, I was not thinking the address Ernesto arranged for Ricardo to go to was the actual restaurant. I was thinking it was perhaps next door, causing him to walk by the window and see E and Cami holding hands. Plus, Ricardo did not say he was sent to that address. Gabriel had to open his eyes that it might have been a setup, something he would have known if the address of the law firm turned out to be a restaurant. He was called about a job at a law firm. [And, welcome to the blog, JayJay. I don't think I've seen you post before.]

I have my doubts about Elena's story. I think it's more likely that she became obsessed with her uncle-by-marriage and became enraged when he rejected her. In her flashback, he called her crazy, which didn't clarify either way whether he was a man after young girls. Also, what she threw at him looked like a heavy piece of wood. Unclear how she got blood on her when she was 8 feet away when she threw it.

Friday should be interesting. I assume Mondriana is going to approach Jorge. Of course, she won't think he's Julián risen from his grave because she talked with Emiliana about her husband's twin who had left years ago, never to return. Looks like my guess about him having a thing for his brother's wife was correct.

I'm so over Lorena. I know she serves the plot purpose of being a person who knows the truth and might reveal it, but her sullen face and falls off the wagon are just boring to me. Plus she suspects her psycho daughter is a danger to her nieces, but she just clams up!

I enjoyed Jennifer's embarrassment after she had played her recording of her rapping about Gabriel's art and doing a sexy dance - only to discover his mother standing right there. It kind of surprised me that the rather uptight Marta was fine with Jennifer's bohemian appearance.

I didn't have any captions last night. and so missed a lot, (thanks so much Kelly for the great recap!), but I was getting the idea from what Elena was saying and with her marriage to Geraldo, (now her novio), that Monica isn't too smart in that department, and it looked like to me that Jorge may be the good brother, that truly loves her. (as I remember Geraldo shedding his kind of tears at the same grave)

(and I was always curious about how Monica tosses Julián's picture aside to get into the safe)

I am also a little lost as to why an established winery doesn't own their land, especially since they have enough small change laying around to cover the cost (so does Monica now have a million from the sale of the coins), so maybe this was just an agreement between brothers for yet unknown reasons, but it seems this gives Jorge enough leverage to derail the whole business, and if only Monica wasn't playing along with the bad guys, she could help.

Muricy screams at Tifon she wants the truth. Tifon has Jan take Agatha off. Muricy screams at Tifon that he is immoral, pot calling the kettle black I'd say. and that Nina has destroyed the famila. He tells Muricy he told Nina he loved her not the other way round. Tifon does not want to debate his love life in public. He's done and Muricy tells him to go off to Leleco they are both alike. Tifon goes off and Muricy says this is all Nina's fault. Zeze has been spying again and Jan gets her to go to the kitchen where they debate who is worse, Nina or Carm, Jan picks Carm, Zeze, Nina. Oh, and Zeze said this house was better than a novella.

Max has ordered two tequilas one for him and one for Begonia. He chats her up and calls her Penelope Cruz. He asks her to go somewhere else with him and she does. To a club where he gets her good and drunk and goes back to her place and sleeps with her, Yuck! In the morning he is rooting around her room looking in drawers when she wakes up. She asks what he is doing? Looking for something for a headache. He wants her to come on his yacht. She can't has to give her sister her inheritance and then is going back to Argentina. He says he likes her very much and goes.

Nina and Jori are cleaning the kitchen when Tifon knocks on the door. Jori won't answer in hopes Tifon will go away but Nina tell Jori to let Tifon in and she hides. Tifon says he had to leave the mansion cause they gave him all kinds of hell about Nina. He asks Jori if he knows where Nina is. Tifon notices the romantic dinner that Jori had who is the girl he wants to know? He wants to spend the night at Jori, he doesn't want to go home. Jori tries to beg off, but Nina gets him to come over and tells him it's okay, she'll go to Mama L's for the night and goes off.

Familia is at table and asks where Max is. Ivana says had some bidness to attend to. Leleco comes and asks how Tifon is. They all assumed he spent the night at Leleco's even though they still believe that and think Leleco is pulling their leg. Now Agatha is sitting next to Leleco as they scream and shout about Nina and Tifon and Agatha finally gets them to shut it, by saying her Mama and Papa are separated and now this, have a heart and she goes off.

Jori and Tifon are having breakfast and Tifon glad he is out of that prison of a mansion and this breakfast is similar to something Nina made. Does he know where Nina is, Nopis. He tells Tifon about going away to California. Tifon is going home to confront the familia. He goes. Jori calls Nina who is helping set up a birthday party for Pico and is making the cake. Mama L asks Nina when she and Jori are leaving? As soon as her visa comes through and the inheritance she will be on her way.

Mona Lisa is grilling carne asada and Iran is enjoying it. Mona Lisa does a great imitation of Ver and her snootiness. Meanwhile downstairs Deb and Ver smell it and you can tell they want some of that. Ver was looking at want ads and found one for a mathematics professor something Carlitos could do. Deb says to look for herself.

Aduato and Muricy are together when Jan says that Mauricy has a vistor named Fabino come calling. It is really Carlitos and he grabs a banana and talks to Muricy, and tell she he is bankrupt. For shame she says and invites him to stay at the mansion.

Carm and Max at the cabin and she tells him they gotta be careful, Zeze is a gossip. Since Zeze is gone they plan. Max tells Carm all about Begonia, his drugging her. Carm wants Max to find some excuse to get Nina on his yacht, where he will drug her, ply her with alcohol and get her into bed while being filmed. He is down with that.

Part II

Tifon, Leleco and Tessa are eating when Muricy comes and demands he come back to the mansion, he is needed there.

Mama L and Nina are throwing this lovely partay for Pico when Max shows up. He wants to talk to her. They go outside and she asks what he wants? Well, he is being humiliated all over again at the mansion and is fed up and wants Nina's help to destroy Carm he is done with her, before Carm destroys them. He doesn't want to talk there, wants to take her off, and finally gives in and goes with Max. Mama L comes outside looking for her, she can't believe Nina went off with Max. Nilo comes and remarks that tragedy is coming.

Max and Nina on the yacht where he plies her with champagne. Lucio is filming a bit away. So here is the story he gives Nina about Carm while he is sliming on her. He manages to take her shirt off. He says Carm is a criminal, she killed someone, a gringo and the cops have been looking for her. Nina has kept her head though, puts the shirt back on and says Carm is in the public eye, if the cops where looking for her they would have found her easily. She knows this is a set up now and demands to know where the microphones and cameras are? She tells him he is crap, she isn't going along with this and he slaps the crap out of her!

Meanwhile Jori has come to the b-party and finds out Nina went off and with who. He gets in his SUV and goes.

Agatha is in her room very upset when Tifon comes home and talks with her. She is mad at him for being in love with Nina and she doesn't want Nina as a stepmother. Tifon tries to tell Agatha that Nina opened his eyes to the world outside the mansion, but she is pithed and going to see Carm. This is all Nina's fault!

Nina continues her tirade against Max, by calling him an idiot, he's trash just like Carm and like Carm cheated Tifon and Ivana all these 12 years. She says he was on the point of abandoning Carm and that mansion for her. She says his future is at Tiradero! And since he thinks he got the goods on her she will make sure that Tifon gets those photos. He grabs her by the neck and chokes her. He tells her she is nothing and Jori finally comes, right hooks Max and tells him he'll end up in jail and takes Nina off. Max and Lucio get together and Lucio has got the goods. Shows him the film.

Jori is very upset Nina went off with Max. She tells Jori it was a setup by Carm and Max to get film on her. They are going to talk about the vacay to California and they talk about her visa and her inheritance. She'll be rich! They are about to get busy when she wants a shower to get Max's stink off of her.

Carm can't believe Nina socked Max that way. Nopis it was Jori. Max gives Carm the stick from the camera and now they will use this against Nina. Now to Plan B, they are going to rob Nina of that inheritance using Begonia. They will be rich and cheer themselves.

Tessa is at the market eating fruit and talks with one of the vendors. Seems Leleco likes crocodile and they guy has some? Tessa is pithed.

Part III

Max and Begonia are at the beach. She knows him as Gustavo. She will miss him when she goes back to Argentina and he should come for a visit. She lets him in on her plans to go to the bank to get that inheritance for her sister. He wants to go to the bank with her, she doesn't know Santa Teresa but Nina is going with her, no problems.

Zeze comes to the cabin with Agatha and Carm greets her warmly. Agatha tells her about home and Carm says Nina is evil. Now poor Agatha will become a weapon at Carm's disposal cause Agatha agrees with Carm.

Silas and Leleco see Aduato sweeping the street and Leleco calls Muricy and tells her. They plan to meet later, and Aduato has come to fix Olenka's plumbing in the kitchen. She finds out he can't read or write. Leleco goes home and tells Tessa he isn't lunching with her today, some meeting and he goes off to the mansion with Tessa following and she catches Muricy and Leleco in the sauna about to do it. There is chaos and Tessa is done with Leleco, he has nowhere to go.

Nina and Begonia are together and Nina asks after this Gustavo guy. Nina asks if she's got a pic, nopis but will take one with her phone. They go off to the bank.

Max is across the street and watches them go, and gives Lucio his instructions. Grab her purse and go.

Silas, Dio, Roni, Suelen, Olenka and Beverly have all come to Mona Lisa's new place in Zona Sur. Suelen loves it, Roni loves the view and Olenka turns on the music.

Muricy and Ivana are talking and Aduato comes home with a single flower for Muricy, she cries and hugs him. She wants a vacay to Cabo Frio, he can't right now. What to do? He goes to take a bath!

Agatha and Zeze go off and Carm calls Max. Does he have the money? Nopis, but will soon. They can't wait to get their hands on Nina's lana. Nina and Begonia leave the bank, with Nina tightly clutching her purse and it's almost a repeat of what happened to Genesio. Lucio on the bike with a henchie, shows a gun, demands the purse, which he rips from Nina's arm and she chases screaming robbery, she chases a far ways and then realizes the lana is gone. She is very distraught. Oi, Oi, Oi!

Monica is so in over her head, and she doesn't even know it, especially with Carlos joining in, (are we really thinking Geraldo will save her), and she just walks around the part where she stole someone's body, and didn't Adriana come knocking last night, in the mirror?

they still haven't shown the General's sleeve and no one seems to have noticed those bad scratches on his face.

I'm not a big fan of Antonio's strategies, and once again I have to remember how proud he is, he explains it to Benigno, there are moments in life that show us what we are made of, this is one, to do nothing would mean to shoulder the humiliation for the rest of our lives, Benigno, for once gets it, and it's 'death before dishonor'.

interesting scene at the warehouse, Camelia and Facundo are stopped without Natasha's help, Camelia decides to return to Octavio's, but he will kill you, Facundo says, she walks away, and he doesn't try to stop her this time (was this a test) and as Facundo looks up she is still there, and her purse is next to him, she didn't bother to get it, and I guess he passed, as Camelia wraps herself in his arms,
then Natasha appears,
"a criminal in love with a cop, well that never works out", she says.

Natasha wants to know why they looked her up, Facundo finally tells her, Franco is after you to get Wilson off his back.

we also learn Natasha is one of interpol and DEA's most wanted traitors,
and a plea from her that the Natasha they are looking for no longer exists.

when Natasha won't talk, Camelia says let her go,
Facundo agrees,
Carson wants to turn her in,

but Camelia has one last plan, she has seen through Natasha's love for Wilson, she explains to Natasha how easy it would be for Carson to go back to their room and put a bullet in Wilson's head, where Wilson who hates everything Mexican is eating some tuna fish out of the can, she gives in.

Arulfo couldn't be happier hearing Antonio is under attack by the army, he leaves to see Octavio.

didn't Emilio and Alison wrangle the pollera business away from her mother, is that what she is so upset about, and now that Emilio is gone she plans to reclaim the business, and the brainwashed/hurt emilio is going along, says he wants to return to his dad's house, but isn't that now Arulfo's headquarters.

I love watching Octavio and Dani together, what a couple of firecrackers.

and at the ranch, EVERYONE is dead except Antonio, Benigno, and Alacran (and the girls) and the General looking around Antonio's office says, where shall I put his head.

Deb, you're right! Mondriana saw the image of Adriana beside her in the mirror and heard Adriana say something in her mind as well, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, Mondriana is like a babe in the woods. I keep wanting her to find out something about either Elena or Gerardo, or both, and start fighting back.

Another reason why I want Elena to be lying about Julián having a relationship with her when she was 20 is that Mónica does not deserve to have had a husband like that. Up until last night, Julián has been portrayed as a model husband and father. Elena's just a twisted sister and wants to throw mud on the guy she couldn't get, in my opinion.

What irritates me is Mondriana's selective memory. She remembers trivia about the lives of Marta's children but can't remember to whom she left her property or much about her first husband.

I also hope that Elena is lying about her relationship with Julián and that he was a good guy.

I can see how Jorge would have ended up with the land on which the vineyards are located. The brothers presumably built up the winery together and owned different parts of it or that was how the property was split when their father died or when the brothers split up.

Novela Man- I watched El Cuerpo del Deseo. As I recall, the guy whose soul comes back believes that his wife poisoned him and they don't say one way or the other for most of the novela but finally it is revealed that she had poison but didn't use it and he died of natural causes. Much different than En Otra Piel.

Im guessing at some before she died Monica new that her husband was a cheater (but never knew about his relationship with Elena) and stopped loving him. Im thinking since Camila idolized her father so much Monica didnt wanna tarnish Camis image of Julian.

I'm watching. I just have trouble finding time to post. The last few episodes where great. But what is the connection between Muricy and Carlitos? He is her godson (ajihado)? I thought the only connection between Carlos' clan and the folks in Divino was Debora's relationship with Jorgito. I didn't see the first couple of weeks of the novela, though. Did I miss something?

My favorite line from yesterday was when Verónica and Débora were smelling MonaLisa cooking carne asada in the apartment below. Verónica says something like, "When we were rich, I only ate lettuce (lechuga) but now I would give anything for some sausage on bread.

Oh, and I believe that in the pickup soccer game, the veterans beat the young guys thanks to Adauto.

Not sure if he was into Elena but my guess is that her flashback was accurate but incomplete. His death was probably an accident and she moved the body to make it look like as though he fell off the horse.

About Carlitos and Tifon's clan. I also didn't catch all of the first week and a half of this TN. I think the connection was made through Genesio, he worked for Carlitos before he died. I think at his funeral is when Carlitos met Tifon, but then again, it could have to do with the bidness they are in with the soccer. I too am not quite clear on that.

I did love that little carne asada scene with Deb and Ver it was too funny. If Ver would just lose her snooty, faluty ways I think she and Mona Lisa would be great friends.

Now to my own thoughts. I am so very glad that Jori has lost the whine and is defending Nina.

Max is starting to really worry me. Why in the world is he taking up with Carm again? I know he follows the money, but I miss the side of him we saw at Mama L's the day he went to talk to her and he said that he was always scared. Why doesn't he make a clean break of it and go on his way with the yacht and start over on his own?

I don't like the fact that Begonia has/had no idea who Max was. She and Nina could have avoided the robbery.

Now what are Nina and Jori going to do? Will they go to California anyway? I don't think he makes enough to buy a house in California.

I still want to know what this secret is with Mama L, Santi, and Nilo with Clarita? And how did Carm end up in Tiradero with Mama L when her Papa was alive. This will be interesting to find out.
 

CAMELIA:

In Friday's episode, Natasha agrees to help trap Wilson. She wears a wire, monitored by Carson, and meets Wilson in a coffee shop. But she gives Wilson a subtle head signal, and the two of them double-cross Carson, Facundo and Camelia, and escape in a plane. Not only that, they kidnap Daniela!

Our guys are one step behind. Camelia goes to Octavio's place, no one is there. Meanwhile, Octavio has paid off his guard, called Arnulfo, who gets him out of detention. Oct goes to his house, finds Camelia there, she says they must be at your airfield. Arnulfo is with Oct, wants to kill Camelia, but Oct says not now. They rush to the airport, but they arrive just barely too late.

In the plane, Daniela's making too much noise, so Natasha hits her with the gun, and she's out. They're running out of fuel.

The governor orders Antonio and the General to make peace. Neither wants to. In the end, it looks as if Antonio gets his ranch back, Benigno will recover from his wound, Alacran and Mireya are working on growing some new marijuana (although he says she should be a housewife), and I think the General is going to leave town (but not face charges for murdering the girls). The Governor separately tells Benigno and General U that they "owe" him.

Allison's Mom (I wish I knew her name), Ali, and emi arrive back in Tijuana. Jacinto is in her house, tries to threaten Mom, but she knees him, takes the gun, and shows him who's boss. She wants her house back, and her pollera business back. Jacinto says Arnulfo won't be happy, but Mom can't wait to put HIM in his place, too.

It's fascinating to watch everyone try to outfox everyone else. And nobody's perfect at it, mistakes are made, and everyone has a weakness (Natasha seems pretty smart, though). Wilson's weakness, besides Natasha, is that he had some medical problem, and keeps having to take pills whenever there's stress.

And there sure is a lot of stress! Every episode is filled with suspense and excitement.

Muricy was Carlitos' housekeeper/cook when he was growing up. Remember the time when Carlitos and Veronica were coming to dinner at Tifon's house and Muricy was going to make Carlito's favorite meal(which I think she ended up ruining and Nina had to step in). Anyway, that's how the two families know each other.

on Alison's mom, I don't remember hearing her name but imbd has a Hilda (played by Claudia Rios) listed, I didn't like the way she was treating Alison, but I'm looking forward to her meeting with Arulfo, I hope they don't end up partners, or fall in love.

Boris and Natasha, err, Wilson and Natasha are interesting, she tipped him on Franco in their short monitored telephone conversation which let him set up their getaway, but I'm still lost on the convent thingy, it looks like she checked herself in, but why so close to Franco, and why was Wilson going there and giving them money, when it seems they didn't know anything about each other.

one of the pills my dad used to take to thin his blood he called rat poison, because it was, and that's what Octavio has going on, his blood won't clot, and Dani after talking to the doctor was determined to get him help, but she was cut off at every step.

and the General was expecting to get hauled in front of his superiors, but the Governor just said he could go.

and I guess Antonio is a little short handed, but Lu loves him.
