De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #62 and #63 5/22/14

De que estamos dando vueltas el desagüe, el desagüe

Hola amigas/os.  The quick and dirty is the first hour was fun and laughs and the second hour sets us up for future gloom and doom.  To keep things fun, I’ve decided to enter certain of the more obnoxious characters into what I call the Audacity Olympics.  Perhaps the Uni cuts got to me but the boldness of some of our more wretched characters saying incredibly, insensitive things really got to me this evening.

Old Stuff – Chato opening the limo door and his children all coming out along with their mothers.  They hand him a pic of Carmen alone at the altar and say, Carmen’s says you are even now.   Chato screams.
Our radiant Carmen shows up in El’s office asking him why he is here.  He is, of course, stunned and asks her why is she there.  She wants to go dancing with a friend.  He asks about Chato and she replies she stood him up but she doesn’t want to talk about Chato.  Are they going dancing or what?  El immediately gets up.  I’m giving him a pass now because Carmen really did stun him by being in his office and she looks great.  He’s in a daze now but he needs to man up by the next scene.

Back to the wedding, weeeeeeee.  Chato returns to the banquet with his kids and their moms.  He tries to leave but with 3 sets of hands on him, this is not going to happen.  His lackeys come down the stairs to perform their dance but Abdul interrupts to announce they will be no wedding.  Though the bride is not there, he says I’m sure she would want us to enjoy this party.  Lupita screams with joy!  Chato tries to break up the party, it being his dime and all but Abdul says its paid for and we’re going to have fun.  Yeah!  His baby mamas then descend on him about the money he paid for this feast.  And then the Justice of the Peace demands his fee.  Once Chato pays him, the women attack again wanting money from him.

Nat explains to Alonso, Irene, and Diego what happened in the past and why Carmen leaving Chato at the altar was a good thing.  Alonso asks about all the women and Nat tells him how Lupita and her brothers called them all.  Padre comes to the table with an ecstatic Lupita and asks where Carmen is.  Nat doesn’t know her mom’s whereabouts but knows where ever she is, she’s very happy.

Carmen and El are slow dancing (YEAH!).  He didn’t realize she had this revenge planned all along.  She corrects him and says its justice and the apt is Lupita’s inheritance.  They continue to dance and El wants to take things to his place and go to the next level.  Carmen wants to know what would happen after their night of fun?  And El says they would continue to love one another as they do now.  But Carmen realizes the error of her ways in the past.  She went on impulse with the fathers of her children and doesn’t want to make the same mistake with El.  She wants to take things slowly and then go to the next level.  I think El may be bummed but he didn’t really confess undying love. But at least, he also knows she cares for him as more than a brother.

Nat and Diego are the only ones left on the dance floor and finally leave when told the place is closing.  Alonso and Irene go back to his place to dance and do other stuff.

El takes Carmen home and its late.  He tells her she needs to go because he might snatch her away with him.  Chato shows up and well, he’s a bit miffed.  He comes toward her but El stands in his way.  She sends El home and she and Chato go to the apt to talk.  Meanwhile, Abdul and Paolo tell Nat and Lupita about the limo and Chato’s families.  The boys are pretty good impressionist.  They all (except Brat but that’s a plus) rush to their rooms as they hear Chato and Carmen arguing.

The kids are hiding in the girl’s room and are concerned they don’t hear yelling anymore.  Abdul says if Carmen screams he’ll go out and put Chato in his place.  Lupita will go with him; she’s so fun.  Carmen shows Chato the photo and the dunce has no idea about its significance so she has to spell it out for him: It’s from the church in Tuxpan where he stood her up and she waited 3 hours for his sorry behind.  And how her children kept asking where is Chato and she had no answers.  He actually has the audacity to tell her she should have been up front with him and told him she would not trust him ever again so he didn’t get his hopes up.  She says don’t talk about hopes to me you lazy, patan.  He tries to call her on the apt and she says that is the least you can do for YOUR daughter.  And he needs to do it for his other children as well.  He seems like he might be coming to some sort of epiphany after Carmen tells him to stop lying and actually learn how to love someone, which is probably the answer to his little Chato problem, and asks so we’re over.  Really, Chato.  I know we all know people like this but I’m disgusted/fascinated by clueless stooges like Chato and he’s our first entrant into the Audacity Olympics (AO).  Before he leaves, he slimes her and gets excited (I’m grossed out yet again).

The kids greet Carmen with smiles and laughs.  They congratulate her on pulling off this stunt.  The Brat and Alberto come in and Carmen asks where they have been.  They lie about seeing a movie and when Lupita asks Carmen where she was, she also lies and says she saw a movie.

Diego comes home and Grumps asks where Irene is.  Always thinking the best of his daughter, Grumps knows she wandering around drunk someplace.  Diego tells him not to say that, it was in the past and calls her.  Irene is having fun with Alonso so she doesn’t answer the phone because she is a grown woman.  One of the reasons Grumps is such an effective and horrible character to me is his willingness to always think the worst of his own child and yet never see his own culpability in her past problems.  And on top of these qualities, he is a control freak, who is only happy if Irene are doing what he wants.  Based on the fact that Rod was his favorite, he’s just a wretch I want crushed with a huge anvil.  He’s the second contestant in the Audacity Olympics.

Irene eventually does look to see who called.  When she realize its Diego, she wants to let them know she won’t be coming home.  Alonso comments she’s not a little girl (yeah Al, we are all on the same page here) and then they contemplate having Lala bring Irene clothes over to Alonso’s.  Irene tries to reach Lala but Grumps answers and she hangs up.

Carmen tells the Brat she better have not been misbehaving and the Brat responds in a way that would have gotten me into much trouble at my house at her age.  She asks Nat if she thinks the Brat went to the movies.  Nat tactfully responds she would rather not say because she doesn’t believe Carmen went to the movies either. (Ha!)  She tells Carmen to let Luz know that she’s OK but Luz was very worried about her.

El comes by Alonso’s for some coffee.  Al notices El is very happy.  He asks if El knows about the bodus interruptus from gossip or did he have something to do with the missing bride?  They both share delightful and very naughty smirks (if you missed it go back to see it) and move on to discuss the party.  I guess Irene got another call about Tad and went to the hospital.  It seems she stayed with Tad all night and Al is jealous again.  He is afraid because of their past tie but El tells him she is with you for a reason and you have to trust her.  Now for his trust test.  Irene is at the door and El leaves.  She tells Al that Tad is very bad and he’s going to NYC for more tests.  She’s going with him.

She assures him she loves him and the only other person who could help Tad, is her domestic worker Elena, who can’t drive and she doesn’t have a passport.  In a really bad edit we jump to Grumps screaming about how Irene is very irresponsible for going to NYC w/Tad.  Diego says it is out of kindness she is doing this for Tad but Grumps says Tad doesn’t deserve Irene’s kindness.  Grumps has now taken the lead ahead of Chato, who we may not see for a while (YES!!) in the Audacity Olympics.  I’m thinking since Rod is a scoundrel he won’t be a contender but who knows.

Rod watches the Brat fall on the video and love sick Lolita comes in to give him a bath.  If stuff is going to get cut, why not this?

The Brat and her Al (Alberto) are chatting over lunch.  He asks about Chato and she hopes he never shows up again.  She then says did you notice Diego and Nat are closer than ever?  He, of course responds, que the heck and why do you care?  She then tells him she exaggerated her claim about Diego harassing her.  He gets mad because he ended a life-long friendship for a misunderstanding (that’s so on you, poor, naive dufus) She, of course, smirks and thinks she got over on him.  While I am sorry for Carmen, when Brat gets her anvil it won’t be pretty.

It seems our Tad is temporarily blind (boo).  He, Irene, Elena, and his doc are at the hospital taking about his trip.  His faith is in Irene.

The head nurse found the girly mag that Rod snagged from the cleaning guy under his sheets.  Lolita tries to claim weird stuff happens in this room but head nurse is not buying it.  Of Vicente walks in at this moment with the mag on Rod’s face.  Grumps demands the head nurse bring Irma back and fire Lolita.  Grumps pretends he’s a nice person and swears Rod will always have dignity.

I guess Nat and Diego are planning to do the deed. He gets so excited I guess they are off to do it now.  Diego starts showing signs of an intense allergic reaction (red spots and his throat closing up).  He has to pull over so Nat can get him some water.  This doesn’t help and they have to take a taxi to the hospital.  The fact that their union is postponed and she STILL doesn’t know about his evil twin is very bad because she might end up knowing Rod in the biblical sense of the word. We’ve only got the tn crutch of the female lead typically only sleeping with her galan to have us here, folks.  I know you are not surprised that our couple lands at Rod’s hospital and he’s up walking around and sees them.

A refreshing short-lived break from the looming danger comes in the form of El giving Carmen a beautiful rose bouquet.  El is down but doesn’t want to talk and this upsets Carmen.  Lupita is excited about her “father”coming to visit her.  She wants ice cream but Carmen declines going with them.

Diego apologizes for ruining their day and Rod overhears Nat say her apprehension is due to her virgin status.  Nat runs to get someone to attend Diego, runs into Rod, who claims he’s a plastic surgeon.

In NYC, Tad is a bit despondent and doesn’t want any more test.  Irene has to encourage him to fight for his life.

A female doctor have given Diego the proper meds and surmises that the mushrooms he ate could have been the trigger.  He invites Nat on his business trip.

Rod runs into Irma in his scrubs and they do what Nat and Diego couldn’t.  Rod plans to leave the hospital and he wants Irma to leave so she won’t have to explain his disappearance.  She, rightly, worries about her job/career because she’s insecure with Rod.  Instead of going with this spot on assessment, she agrees to do Rod’s bidding.

Irene calls her father and we have another scene in which he berates her for leaving her job and helping Tad.  He spews the same verbicide (courtesy of JudyB) he always does on her.  With his three spectacular examples of why he’s our top AO contestant.  She does have a nice conversation with Alonso.

The fonda is about to re-open and the Krab subplot returns; the Krabs are upset that the Garcias are back in business.  And they are planning another plot.  It involves the gang that saved Paolo from getting knifed.  I decided to not enter the Krab or the Krabettes into the AO because they are more annoying to me than obnoxious.

Irma tries to quit but her boss wants her to stay long enough to find a replacement.  She actually thinks compassionate Rod will be willing to stick to her schedule.

Nat chats with Irene about work and asks about Tad.  The Brat comes in and acts resentful that Nat is in charge, yeah nothing new there.  Grumps comes in to find out how things are going.  Nat reviews the schedule with him but he’s still grumpy.  The Brat, another Audacity Olympics contestant, actually says to Nat, how can you stand him being so rude?  Kettle meet Pot.  Nat responds in a way that shows us how she has put up with the Brat all these years.  She says, deep down he isn’t that grumpy.  Both Grumps and the Brat will give Nat a very bad reality check as he is really grumpy and treacherous and she is so traitorous she’s giving Diana a run for her money.

It’s all about me Rod is ticked Irma can’t just leave now.  He tells her you only get ahead by being selfish and enters the AO by telling Irma some of us were meant to rule and other to follow.  It seems Irma has now realized he is a muy mal hombre.  He later leaves the hospital and let’s her face the consequences.

The operation was a success but to get rid of the rest of his tumor Tad will need chemo.  There is the possibility he will lose his sight and movement in his hands (noooooooo!)

Diego tells Nat she’s in charge while he and Irene are away.

Lupita finds out about Paolo’s girlfriend, Mara.  He tells her, he has told Mara that she is a mess and not to tell anyone about her just yet.  Meanwhile, El has misinterpreted his conversation with Lupita about Paolo.  She told El Paolo is her favorite sibling because he plays with her.  El is talking with the Padre because Paolo is willing to play with Lupita’s dolls.  I know this supposed to be funny but it almost pushes me into professor mode where you have to break students of unhealthy ways of thinking.  The conversation then turns to how El “helped” Lupita with the Chato situation.  Padre wants to know what El’s real motives are.  El, as we know, does not do well with the whole expressing his feelings so he leaves in a huff.

The tests for Tad have revealed the tumor did get smaller but what remains is putting pressure on his brain and this is why he can’t see.

Nat goes to the airport to say goodbye to Diego.

Rod is hanging out in front of the Carceses house and Tiburcio sees him.

The gang trashed Carmen’s fonda.  I think we could all do without this plot but the plus is that they called El about the problem.

Nat is at the airport to pick him up when she learns about the latest fonda problem so she leaves.  Diego ends up having to take a cab.

Rod rants about his desire for revenge on his whole family.  He better not hurt Irene.  Irma calls and he tells her he will return to the hospital because Rod is out of town.

Grumps complains to Diego about Nat and the Brat not being at the office.  Diego tells him to chill out right before he crashes.

While the police are questioning El and Carmen about the fonda incident, they only then realize it might be the Krab.   When questioned, the Krab believes she has duped the investigator and with the number of episodes left (in spite of Uni’s edits) this may not be solved anytime soon.

The gang still have the stuff they stole from Carmen’s fonda and are dividing it up.

The medics call the Cascares home about Diego’s accident.  Rod is so happy he actually says, the devil is on my side.  This is beyond AO and just earns him points in Hades.

The Brat finally comes in and tells Grumps she was at the bank.  When he asks about the work, she says nobody tells her anything.  Grumps yells enough that the Brat moves away from him.

Rod goes to the hospital, talks to the doc about Diego, and arranges for Diego to be transferred.

Nat is really riled up about the fonda.  She and Abdul find the circumstances odd.  She calls Diego and guess who answers, that would be Rod.  He then calls Irma to tell her she is about to get a very special patient.

The Previews show Irma drugging Diego with the same coma substance she used on Rod.  And Rod kissing Nat and trying to go to far.  I guess we are in the torture part of the tn with poor Tad having a not completely positive diagnosis, Carmen with no fonda, Irene separated from Alonso and Rod impersonating Diego.

Oooh my, I hate where this is going. Whatever good stuff happened in the first hour, has all "gone with the wind" in the second. Ugh!

Hi everyone - I hate to break it to you, but by my count, we watched through the end of episode #67 tonight. Uni is doing some serious chopping now.

Oh, I'm LatinaInMD, btw. For some reason my iPhone ID's me as "Robbie's mom".

Oh Judy I so agree with you about where things are headed especially with evil, psycho twin playing the role of his good brother. I hate this part of tns.

Nice to hear from you LatinaInMD. Yes thanks to a few new bloggers and Uni's amateur edits, we've been made aware of we actually seeing three episodes each night.

Does anyone think the ads for "La Gata" look like the exact same as CI? Daniel Arenas is playing the rich guy who falls for a savage looking woman but his time she's played by Mattie Per not Ana Brenda. DA needs to go back to comedy as his best roles was in Amorito Corazon.

MX eps 65-67 tonight.

Dqtqtq seems to be becoming stupid right now. I hope Diego pulls through the switch and gets out of the coma.

This is beyond chopping--they opened a wormhole!

Thanks for your episode update, JoseAngel.

Anon 10:51 pm, we are entering the dark phase of the tn where bad stuff is going to happen. And this tn has so many episodes that we can expect the subtitle that I used to be in action. We'll be circling the drain and the plot may not really be moving forward. Take the boring back and forth with Carmen and the Krab. After one volley between the two groups, I was done so the continued fighting is just filler but of course Uni won't cut that.

Yes, Kat I felt a few abrupt edits but b/c I kept stopping things to write I probably missed more. If you or anyone else can point them out maybe we can piece together what we missed.

Gracias, Karen!

Nope. I don't think you missed a thing. The part that was most confusing to me--why El was all bummed out and talking to Padre Juancho about Paolo--was included and it certainly sounds like we both saw the same scenes. So, the good news is...it doesn't make a whole lot of sense because they didn't edit it to make a whole lot of sense, not because we missed something!

It sure was nice to get a little El/Carmen action (CarmEl?) while it lasted :)

I agree with you...I hope Chato has gracefully withdrawn from the Audacity Olympics for a good long while!

Thank you so much, Karen. With the edits, I kept feeling like I was missing stuff or not understanding things correctly. (I also had a lot of distractions last nigh.) I think you got everything.

Things definitely got dark last night. Blergh. With the edits and the dark turn I should be tempted to just throw in the towel, but I'm too far gone and there are things I just HAVE to see. I am completely hooked on Marisol del Olmo, Cynthia Klitbo and of course Marcelo. Not to mention Paolo. I fear a lot of Paolo and Abdul stories are being cut and that makes me sad.

It's nice to see you LatinaInMD! I loved your CI recaps. Good to see you here and I'm looking forward to your comments.

La Gata-I am completely torn on this one.
Yes, it looks a lot like CI. Natalie Latoodleloo is the producer.

It WILL become a hot mess.

I love Maite Perroni.

I love Daniel Arenas....in comic roles and this doesn't look comic at all. I want to see it, but I'm so mad about the edits that I want to skip it and watch whatever Telemundo puts on at 7 (I think Reina de Corazones) just on principle. I know that if La Gata has good ratings, they won't edit a thing. Telemundo shows may not be as good as Televisa, but at least they don't insult me with edits.

LQMVR will end up being about as long as DQTQTQ. Univision seems to be leaving that one alone. I'm not watching it, but I'm willing to be there is filler that could be chopped. With DQTQTQ I can't help but feel like important stuff is being cut. Or at least it's messing with pacing. I don't like hearing stuff like "Tad is worse and we're going to NYC" out of the blue.

Meh. I've blathered on enough.

Karen, you have been a real trooper this week. I feel like you got the most amateurish editing AND some really dark stuff. Not to mention icky stuff which called for brain bleach.

Oh, and one word for JDC: MANSCAPING. His chest hair makes me nauseous.

Good morning Karen...Great job on cobbling together an organized, coherent recap from a bunch of badly edited combined episodes. I'm going to enter you in the IQ Olympics! And you'll win!

You're right that we're now in the Torture part of this TN. As far as I'm concerned, they can rush through this part all they want. I hate these Slough of Despond times. But loved the recap. Thanks.

Karen: "Audacity Olympics" - brillant! Loved the recap, vibrant and refreshing. You did an excellent job with this.

"Always thinking the best of his daughter, Grumps knows she wandering around drunk someplace", "...and love sick Lolita comes in to give him a bath. If stuff is going to get cut, why not this?" (hear, hear) and "He spews the same verbicide (courtesy of JudyB) he always does on her" were among my many favorites.

Now, did I imagine it or were the first few scenes of El and Carmen sliced and diced! Intolerable cruelty! We want, need and demand that no kissing scenes of theirs be cut! Hrruummmph.

My heart goes out to Tad. Now he may be blind? I'm sorry but in my apparent quest to champion the "underdog", I still prefer him to Al for Irene.

Like everyone who commented today, I am sick about the turn of events with Rod impersonating our Diego. Why stay? As you noted Sara "I am completely hooked on Marisol del Olmo, Cynthia Klitbo and of course Marcelo. Not to mention Paolo". Yup. With that cast and the marvelous recappers and bloggers here, the reasons to stay far exceed the dire dreariness and despair ahead.

I fear Rod is going to end up being a very reviled villain. Though still having nightmares about Feo, I think he might give him a run for his money. Villains who seek to hurt their own families are heinous. Period.

Wonderful Karen!!

Diana

Diana, I also prefer Tad over Alonso. Right now he is the most supportive of the two and he's even dealing with a brain tumor and still does more to help Irene.

Karen- I loved the Audacity Olympics. LOL! You did a marvelous job on this disjointed episode. Thank you for recapping 2 nights in a row.

I got home at midnight but was so curious about what would happen between Carmen and my telenovio, that I had to peek at my recording. I loved the first quarter with all the smooching between the three main couples, the great wedding reception, Chato's dismissal, and the glee of the kids. I could tell there were edits, even to the electric scene between El and Carmen. But when they suddenly jumped to the next day and Al telling El that Irene was in the hospital with Tad, and then Irene came in and said she was going to NY with Tad, I had a WTH moment. Not only was Uni's editing atrocious (clearly they had cut quite a few key scenes), but I could also tell the story was about to take a very dark turn. Boy, was that ever the case! Glad I turned off the tv and went to bed after Irene's announcement.

Sara- I also suspect that with this cutting we'll see much less of Paolo, Abdul, and Lupita than we already do.

I think Daniel Arenas' character in La Gata won't be abysmal like Oblivio because he has to live up Fernando TBLMOE Colunga's character in Maria la del Barrio.

Sara- Actually, Robo is pretty filler-free. As much as I hate the central love triangle, with two unworthy galans, the Robo writers have kept the writing pretty tight. It's no Mejia production.

Speaking of...I love your new last name for Mrs. Mejia, Sara. :) Like her husband, she always manages to get actors I like. But her tns are always so stupid. Makes it hard to decide. I will likely check out the first episodes, but then become an occasional viewer.

I feel like DQ is pretty filler free. Something may feel like filler but it usually turns out to be something. But like has been said-there are some definite filler scenes that they've kept in. *dancenumbercoughcough*

Kat, Sara, Judy, Diana, Vivi, and Corazon thanks so much for stopping by and your kind words.

Kat, love CarmEl!! Yes I understand your confusion about El and Padre because there was definitely a jump between the ice cream outing w/Lupita, their talk, and his chat w/Padre.

Sara, I think you are completely right and the Paolo/Abdul stuff will be cut out. If they must insult us with edits, you would think they would be better at selecting what to cut. But Uni did the same thing w/the William Levy tn. I'm with you though about wanting to see this to the end b/c of the actors and going to another station once this is over.

Judy, ITA that the during the suffering part of tns I like to take a break and move to recap only. And it makes me nervous that in this producer's last tn [Amorcito Corazon], she had an evil twin truly wreak havoc on the good characters.

Diana, yes I think the CarmEl scenes were edited. It's what we were all looking forward and Uni edit it. I really hope Rod does not reach Feo levels as that will be unbearable.

Vivi, glad you got to see the good parts. Again I lament the cutting of the kids because unlike a lot of shows with children, the kids here (expect Brat) are quite fun and good actors.

Corazon, though I enjoy DA if his script in La Gata is as bad as CI, I don't know of he can recover. Colunga had a script in PEAM that even he couldn't overcome.

One thing about LA Gata though... You know shows like that bring out the best snark!

Thanks for the welcome, Karen and Sara.

I loved the "JDC: Manscaping" comment, Sarah. Too funny.

I have been coming over to Caray from time to time, reading recaps of DQTQTQ and Robo, the two novelas I'm watching. I really enjoy DQTQTQ and am mad at Univision for chopping it up. Though I watch Robo, I but don't care much for it and only continue to watch it so I can exchange snarky texts about it with a friend who also watches it. I wouldn't have cared if Univision had chopped up Robo, but they can't because the U.S. broadcast is only 12 episodes behind the Mexico one.

Gracias Karen,
I am getting confuzzled with all the chopping.

Why, why would they subject that beautiful black cat to the likes of Daniel Arenas & Maite Perroni?

DA is even dumber than his character in CI to work for Mrs. Mejia again. This should really destroy his career.

Does Hulu + show uncut episodes?

This is why I've lost interest in this novela. I really like LS novelas, but I hate this type of storyline. Rod is going to really wreck poor Diego's life.
Also if Nat had sex with him, it's basically rape, because she's not consenting to have sex with Rod, but with Diego, but novelas don't really delve into the violation of a person that comes from this sort of situation.

Robó would've been perfect for Uni's scissors. Nothing interesting is happening IMO ever since Ale went in coma and he was accused of having deals with that drug guy (forgot his name)

^that should say if Nat HAS sex with him, since I know she hasn't and I have no idea if she will.

LatinaInMD, it seems its always the case where the tn Uni cuts no one who watches it wants that to happen. But many of the ones that should never have such high episode counts do not get cut even though they should. The secondary characters are interesting in Robo but the demented love triangle is a nightmare.

Variopinta, thanks for your comments. ITA that DA is taking a big risk working w/Ms. Mejia again. I'm not sure about Hulu b/c I think they show what was broadcast on Uni. Unless they are getting their stuff from directly Televisa without Uni's edits.

JoseAngel, I completely understand losing interest in tns (though we would hate to loose your comments) during the dark parts especially the potential rape of Nat by Rod. On the blog, we have had lengthy discussions about rape, its cultural aspects (Mexico vs US), and how tns often deal with it horribly.

Though I don't know about DQTQTQ, but Hulu showed the edited version of PSMA.

I can watch La viuda negra on regular Hulu but it takes + to watch DQTQTQ. Not sure if it's worth the cost.

One more body hair comment--The doctor talking to Rod at the end had the most bizarre beard/moustache I have ever seen.

Vario-Is LVN good? I admit to being very curious about the narco novelas as they seem to do well in the ratings, but I hate to support such subject matter.

I wonder what Uni's reason for cutting, combining & doubling episodes is? I think the ratings are good enough. I can understand them doing that to La tempestad, it was going to go downhill fast, (Mr. Mejia).
We can wait for El color de pasion.
La gata on the other hand will be lucky NOT to end up at midnight.

Variopinta- It seems that Uni is now working hard to limit the gap between when the tns are shown in Mexico and when we get them. This is probably a wise move to combat losing viewers who would just go ahead and scour the web for the videos. As pointed out, we're only a few weeks behind Mexico with Robo. DQTQTQ is many, many months behind. Uni might jest be trying to get to a point where all the tns in their lineup is only a few weeks away from Mexico. This might be good for the US audience as it would mean they wouldn't have the opportunity to do this cutting and combining episodes foolishness.

Wow. So many typos in that last post. I obviously did not get enough sleep last night! :)

Sara, LVN is very good, but I must admit that I sometimes fall asleep, the reason I need Hulu.
It is certainly different from the real Griselda Blanco, she was fea, mala, had over 100 people killed in horrible ways. We'll see how she ends up, I'm sure they won't change that. They did show her killing her own husband because he was in competition as a narco. She also did everything for her son, which they show in the novela. Just insulting her son & you are dead.

I always thought Mex was sort of a test mkt before showing in the US.
The only thing, what goes over in Mex might not do so well here & visa versa. They should show them at the same time.

How far behind were we with PSMA? I guess far enough to do episodes. La Gata will be about 8 weeks behind? I guess there is less chance of editing for that.

Oh and why choose DQTQTQ which was so behind and had so many episodes and not Quiero Amarte or El Color or whatever else had recently started?

Sara- When it ended, PSMA was only one week behind Mexico. DQTQTQ did really well in the ratings, while Quiero Amarte didn't/isn't doing so well. But given the Cristian de la Fuente is popular in the US, Uni might decide to take a gamble on it at some point. Who knows?!

Si, si, si amo Christian de la fuente

Maybe they don't in Mex since he is from Chile????
